✨MY BLACK FRIDAY MUST HAVES✨
So... Black Friday has always been a big deal for me. Every year I make a point of staring a note in my phone of everyone I will have to buy for and what I want to surprise them with. I keep this going through the year and whenever I have a good idea I just pop it in my note. (I didn’t come up with this, I stole the idea from my super organized boyfriend) And then every year I buy all my presents for everyone on Black Friday, or whenever the B.F sales start. I love doing this cause I always feel like I get the best price, and I know that everything will arrive before Christmas. Now, it’s best to stick to the list but I can’t help but get caught up and snag a few things for myself. Here’s the deals for me that were simple too good to pass up; Biossance - 30% off site wide! now if you’ve been on my profile you know that their eye cream is a holy grail product for me! I decided to spring for the full size and try something new as well! I grabbed the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Marine Algae Eye Cream and the BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Glycolic Renewal Mask, and for only $7 I couldn’t pass on the travel size BIOSSANCE - Eye Rescue Duo. The Laurel and Reed 3 month clean skincare box subscription - 25% off on Cratejoy! I’m absolutely obsessed with this box subscription. If you love clean skincare the products are AMAZING and the value is incredible. It’s all full size products and the brands they work with are killer! I also love that they do a colour theme every month so the boxes are so aesthetically pleasing. These boxes are only $47.95 for a 3 month subscription and have at least $125’s worth of goodies but honestly usually way more... it’s a good deal at the best of time but right now you can get an additional 25% off. Some of the items I’ve received in the past from L&R include; GRAYDON - Face Glow #Ere Perez - Cranberry Lip & Eye Butter[products]# LOLI - Plum Elixir LATHER - Honey Moisture Mask with Propolis Extract SRANGE BIRD - Inner Clarity Cleanser ONE LOVE ORGANICS - Botanical C Facial Serum PURE ALCHEMY BEAUTY - Turmeric Glow sahajan - Nourish Face Cream Any deals you just couldn’t pass up this Black Friday ?

👻🧡🎃 HALLOWEEN VIBES🎃🧡👻
When in doubt, Pull out your spooky season skincare 🎃 If your like me, and couldn’t create a Halloween makeup look to save my life.. grab your best pumpkin coloured skincare and spooky soundtrack instead and get your self care on 🧡 I have the driest lips in southwestern Ontario and surrounding areas I’m pretty sure. So I’m excited to start using the LOLI - Plum Elixirto help save my dry chapped lips! The OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil is a total holy grail for me. This hair oil is amazing, it makes my hair so easy to brush, tames frizz, repairs dead ends and shows instant results. Plus, I use this atleast every other day if not more and I’ve barely made a dent in it! And lastly the HERBIVORE - Phoenix Rosehip Anti-Aging Face Oil for Dry Skin, a super hyped herbivore product. The spookiest thing about this little guy is the price point haha, the full size sitting at $115 CAD. I don’t find myself reaching for it as much because of the price and find myself using their emerald facial oil a lot more. HERBIVORE - Emerald CBD + Adaptogens Deep Moisture Glow Oil

NEW Brand Spotlight: LOLI BEAUTY!
Loli Beauty is an ethical brand focused on bringing earth based & zero waste (!) skincare to the market in a non green-washing way. They are transparent about where their sourcing of ingredients comes from (fair trade/organic global farms) and kindly answered any questions I had about their ethics within the market. Rather than exploiting a poorer population, they work with farms directly to ensure a fair wage is being paid, and ingredients are being produced in an earth and people friendly manner. The jars are food safe and can be reused, I love them for storage and travel. The packaging and labeling is also biodegradable, made of recycled materials, and recyclable itself. Overall, their mission is to bring us beauty products that are sustainable and keep the earth beautiful as well. Use https://lolibeauty.com//?ref=bb-9z4zxz when ordering from LOLI with the code SKINCYCLOPEDIA at checkout to get 25% off your entire order Now, let’s get to the reviews! LOLI - Pank Pitaya Mask is my favorite product from the brand. I love that I can mix it myself with whatever liquid I want to suit my skin needs (my favs are orange and rose water, but green tea is also great!). It’s super fun to mix and apply, and works nicely as a mask and gentle scrub for flakes, as well as aiding with inflammation and congestion. The star players are Australian clay, oat kernel flour (helps with redness and sensitivity), and Dragon fruit. ONE dragon fruit has 3x the amount of vitamin C as an orange 🍊 and is a powerful brightening ingredient. It feels very gentle on, almost like a jelly, and brightens my skin and smooths it out to be very soft afterwards, but never in a harsh feeling way. The LOLI - Rose Water and LOLI - Sweet Orange Water are both fabulous and refreshing toner-eqsue products, however I wish the bottles were bigger for the price. They both smell heavenly and add nice moisture back into my skin when it’s lacking to help keep it supple. LOLI - Purple Corn Grains is super nice if I need a physical scrub. It is as gentle as a muslin cloth and doesn’t tug or tear at my skin. It smooths it out nicely when I’m experiencing flakes or congestion, and gives the feeling that it’s like an upgraded type of Lush face exfoliant. It’s jam packed with antioxidants which also makes it a great brightening mask! The only dud I’ve experienced from the brand thus far has been LOLI - Chamomile Lavender Micellar Water as it gave me bad dermatitis due to the inclusion of lavender oil and witch hazel. I prefer my micellar waters to be gentle enough to use often and on my eyes, and this was neither. Though this is extremely sensitizing to skin, the other products within the brand I’ve found to be genuinely gentle and will continue to use. Will you try out this brand? What do you look for when finding new brands to try? I love the ethos of LOLI BEAUTY

loli.beauty ! 💜Purple Corn Grains; this is a very gentle polishing/exfoliating scrub. What I love about this is that it’s not like most scrubs because of the super natural ingredients like purple corn, pomegranate, almond flour and Kaolin. Not only does it exfoliate by clarifying the skin and getting rid of those old dead skin cells but It’s also a treatment mask. It helps reduce bumps or any breakouts! I usually use this by mixing 2 tsp with malieorganics toner or a Rosewater toner and massage into my skin.  🧡Tea Seed Elixir; for anyone with combination skin this is your babe! This oil contains sweet orange, pink grapefruit & nourishing oils from tea seed & flax seed! So you know you’re getting all the love from those natural power houses. The apricot oil balances out oil production & shrinks blemishes! The beauty citrus smell alone is soooo invigorating! It absorbs so well into the skin which I love! I’ve been using it 2xs a week and I’m really loving it so far! 💃🏼

Facial oil great for combo skin
LOLI - Tea Seed Elixir A blend of wonderful oils that balance oil production, shrinks blemishes, and brightens skin tone. Targets: Combo/normal or oily skin Breakouts Helps: Balance Glow My thoughts: I love this oil!! It smells heavenly, and feels great on. This product made me fall in love with oils. I honestly recommend this. I don’t feel like it’s too heavy but not really light. It didn’t cause me any breakouts at all. It is $42, which is a bit high for me, but with ingredients and the companies stands for zero waste, I have no problem with the price.

Awesome mask! This mini set came with the Matcha Coconut Paste, Plum Elixir and Rose Water (substituted for Sweet Orange Water), which all come together to create loli.beauty ‘s BIY Matcha Glow Mask. 🥥 The Matcha Coconut Paste contains matcha tea, coconut milk, kaolin, Moringa leaf and peppermint, and it is meant to bring to your face the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant-rich effects of matcha and coconut, as well as detoxify, brighten and refine the skin. The Plum Elixir is made with plum seed, pomegranate, tea seed oil and sea buckthorn, and it is meant to brighten, soothe and provide glowing skin and shiny hair. The Rose Water here is made from organically-grown and hand-harvested Moroccan roses, and it’s supposed to hydrate, soothe redness and make the skin glow. All loli.beauty ingredients are organic, food grade, non-GMO, vegan, sustainable and gluten free. This BIY Matcha Glow Mask was intended for combination skin, flaky and dry/normal skin, and to fight breakouts. It is meant to smooth, restore, detoxify, make the skin glow and treat it. 🥥 I left this guy on for close to 30 minutes, and I was really pleased with the results! I usually never have any luck with DIY face masks and find that the wet ones work best for me, but this one definitely turned that around. Those 15 Plum Elixir drops really softened my skin, and I had a subtle glow and brightness to my skin. The pores on my nose and around my nose area were barely visible, and blackheads were nowhere to be found. An added bonus in my book? The exfoliation from washing the mask off! A very gentle, very pleasant exfoliation that I expected - the base of this mask is, after all, a grainy paste. This is definitely a first impression, but I definitely give this mask my preliminary approval.

Today I am featuring loli.beau
Today I am featuring loli.beauty’s Tea Seed Elixir! This mixture is perfect for shrinking blemishes, brightening skin tone, and smells like sweet citrus! 🍊 So what’s in it? A combination of Tea Seed Oil, Flaxseed Oil, Apricot Oil, Sweet Orange Essential Oil, and Pink Grapefruit Essential Oil. It’s perfect for those with combination/oily skin and acne. ✨ Fun Fact: tea seed oil is from the seeds of the Camellia sinensis, the plant from which all teas are made. It was adopted by Japanese geishas as a backstage staple to remove their iconic makeup and nourish their porcelain skin. (got that from Loli’s website). ✨ *food grade & vegan*

I won this oil in a giveaway a while ago, and I really like it! I’ve been mixing a few drops of it with my night cream to really get as much moisture as possible. I really like LOLI’s mission of providing clean, water-free beauty (a lot of skincare has water as the first ingredient, which means you’re not getting as much of the active ingredients. it’s also not great for the environment.) This product contains just four ingredients, all oils, and it can be used as a facial oil, a hair oil, and even on dry lips or body skin! We love a product that can serve multiple purposes. This is a thicker oil, which is why I use it at night. The scent smells like plums and almonds, and it’s absolutely heavenly. I love the way this sinks into my skin and keeps it moisturized all night. I’ve been using this for over a month, and it’s kept me moisturized and glowy without breaking me out. A little bit goes a long way—but at $68 for less than an ounce, I wouldn’t purchase this with my own money. I really enjoy it, but unfortunately it’s a little out of my price range. I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a multi-tasking, deeply moisturizing oil, if this is in their budget.

Physical Exfoliate
Physical Exfoliate
@loli.beauty Purple Corn Grains Used to exfoliate when mixed with your favorite medium. Whether that’s a cleanser or an oil perhaps, making it very versatile. Once the light powder is mixed becoming a wet fine sandy texture it sloths away dead skin cells without being too harsh. Other claims: cleanses, detoxifies, glow, soften. What is it for? Face & lips All Skin Types Breakouts or flakey -My thoughts I like this product because it’s so DIY. I can mix it into my cleanser or make a mask out of it, (my two favorite uses). I never had an issue with breaking out because of this product. Overall I would recommend this product, if you are ok with the price tag. In the picture I show the mini, $12. It is $32 for the full size does seem like a bit much but the company uses so many organic ingredients, food grade ingredients and containers, PLUS the are a ZERO WASTE company the is full sustainable. So with all consideration it’s wonderful. My @cherie rating 4/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ because it does require a medium.

Overall, I can easily say that
Overall, I can easily say that these products from loli are very effective. They are all food grade, which means that the ingredients are edible and contain less than 0.1% bacteria as compared to up to 30% bacteria in cosmetic grade ingredients! Not only are the safe and effective, but they are so unique. I have never come across another brand like LOLI. I will continue using their products and supporting this brand because I feel like they have serious potential! 🙌🏻 🔹Plum Elixir - You can use it for your skin OR hair! This stuff is perfect for normal to dry skin. It contains Tea Seed Oil, Sea Buckthorn, Pomegranate, and Plum Seed. It is considered to be a “base” in their collection which can be combined/mixed in with a variety of their products to create masks, cleansers, moisturizers, etc. (or just use it on its own). I have been combining several drop of this with two drops of their Prickly Pear Seed Oil and applying it to my face for moisture. ✨ 🔹Prickly Pear Seed - It comes from the prickly pear cactus plant which contains fatty acids and plenty of vitamin E to protect against daily stress. It is considered to be one of their “mix-ins”. This means you can add a few drops of this to create a mixture with any of their bases or other mix-ins. It is perfect for any skin type. It soothes, nourished, and revitalizes the skin and hair! 🌱 🔹Purple Corn Grains (base) - contains purple corn, pomegranate, almond flower, kaolin, orange peel, hibiscus, yucca root powder, and rice starch. It’s good for flaky skin or skin prone to breakouts! It can be mixed with a variety of their products to create masks and cleansers (or you can do what I have been doing and just add water to create a nice Exfoliator). 💕
