ZO Exfoliating Polish
Within every custom facial, I perform a double cleanse + deep exfoliation of the skin. This beautiful exfoliating polish, from ZO Skin is made from ultra-fine (spherical) magnesium crystals that slough off dead skin cells. This products works to smooth texture, + promote healthy circulation. It also contains antioxidants such as vitamin A, C, C-ester, + E to protect the skin from environmental damage. I have noticed a huge change in brightening skin tone, + increasing healing properties. This polish reveals a more even complexion + allows for better product penetration. I encourage it to be incorporated 2-3x a week within your PM skincare regimen! I would not recommend a polish for those with sensitive or acne prone skin. Beginning of my journey
So I’m very to get back started on my skincare routine. Once I followed the Korean skincare routine which consists of a variety of number of steps (I.e. 7, 10, etc.) I had gotten some improvement but once I tried Zein Obagi, it sped up the process. I could see results with the first wash! I had ran out of products and did not buy anymore because they can buy pricey but tried to maintain the Korean skincare routine which helped maintain my skin, however, I had a child and surgery so I fell off the bandwagon for quite some time now. I am ready to continue my journey and show you my results and why I love zein obagi and will be posting pics and will inform everyone of the products I buy a long the way because as I said they are pricey! Zo Skin Health, not my cup of tea
If you’re a regular skin clinic visitor, there's a good chance you've heard of this line through an aesthetician. I purchased these two babies after seeing stellar reviews online and wanted to bring out the big guns for tackling acne. It’s probably my most expensive purchase to date. ZO SKIN HEALTH - Exfoliating Cleanser Exfoliating cleanser: This is a gel cleanser with encapsulated vitamin e beads, salicylic acid, and small jojoba esters for light exfoliation. It creates a very foamy texture when applied. You only need a very small pea size amount to cover the entire face. I do enjoy fragrance in my skincare from time to time (and can handle it in small quantities), but this has a strong artificial perfume smell that I didn't love. I tried this for several weeks and found it very stripping - it gave my skin a "squeaky" clean feel and the beads dissolved too quickly to be effective at exfoliating. Also, the expiry date is 6 months after opening, which is quite short for a cleanser. I gave this to my boyfriend, who loves it, which goes to show that everyone's skin likes and dislikes different things. ZO SKIN HEALTH - Oil Control Pads Acne Treatment Acne treatment pads: These are textured pads with 2% bha. It was initially effective at helping to clear some clogged pores. It has alcohol quite high up on the list, which I found refreshing on my skin (which I know is not ideal for sensitive skin, but gave it a go anyways). This does do the job at helping to clear congestion, but I didn't find it that helpful on inflamed red pimples. I've resorted to using this on my back because I have other bha products (mainly my beloved Paula’s choice bha4 serum) that are more effective for both clogged pores and pimples. Also I don’t think pads are my thing - brings back memories of using Stridex as a teen. Le sigh, that feeling when you put down some hard cash only to get let down. That said, it may work for those dealing with persistent acne and are not dealing with sensitive/dehydrated skin.

Week 1 (continued)
ZO SKIN HEALTH - Daily Power Defense -...literally won’t see any difference in your skin but will feel a difference. My skin became less sensitive to the other products I used and is supposedly help to prevent further wrinkling. Although I’m not a big fan of any-wrinkle agents because I feel it’s just genetics and human biology for us to get wrinkles at the rate we are meant to. I do feel this product does help a bit with sensitivity. ZO SKIN HEALTH - Acne Control - Acne Control formerly known as Aknetrol (I believe), is still a favorite if used consistently you will see your clogged pores, milia, zits, diminish, however it is such a strong product. Meaning it can cause redness in your skin if you don’t put sunscreen on after and burning/drying if your skin isn’t used to it. If it happens just limit to once a day and/or at night if you don’t have sunscreen because trust me, it will cause redness! So this was the other product that may have led to my dryness since it’s been a few months I haven’t used it. My skin has gotten back to normal now. Kate Somerville - Kx Active Concentrates Bio-Mimicking Peptides Serum - I really only use this product because it doesn’t break me out and I still have some left. I don’t see any “firming” whatsoever but y’all know how I feel about “anti-aging” agents. Also I HATE HATE that after I put it on my skin is sticky and if I rub my face I can feel the product crumble off. 2 stars because it doesn’t break me out. Do not recommend. JUICE BEAUTY - STEM CELLULAR Anti-Wrinkle Eye Treatment - Same thing. Only use it because it doesn’t break me out. As you can see in the photo, I still have the same wrinkles and dark circles as before. The Zein Obagi product made a difference and I hope to use it again in the future to show you. FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum - I don’t use it as much as I like to as the exfoliater but I do like the way it tingles on my skin and how it looks in the morning. Brightens my skin a bit but I don’t see any “resurfacing” effects. MARIO BADESCU - Vitamin C Serum - see no difference but it lessens my sensitivity. I recommend using only 1-2 drops and build from there because it does feel greasy. A little goes a long way with this product. yesto - Activated Charcoal Bar Soap - I mainly use this for my dark-discolored armpits and it actually works! I should have shown a before and after. I’ll probably do a separate post and stop using it for a week or less to show the difference. You can see it with the first wash! I also use it on the rest of my body to brighten a bit. I recommend using this before and exfoliate in the shower because when you rub your skin you can feel how easy it is to rub that dead skin off!

Help please! Closed comedones!
I’ve had these closed comedones on my chin & jawline for about 2 years and nothing seems to get rid of them! I’m desperate to find a product/solution to get rid of them and prevent future ones! I’ve seen my dermatologist several times to get a solution too. Last September I tried the Paulas Choice 2% BHA for several months and that did not work for my skin. It didn’t fix my comedones & it made my skin so dry & EXTREMELY flaky. I stopped using that in December. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator Ive been using the Sephora clear skin days serum since January, which is a BHA with hyaluronic acid, and it seems to work really well for inflammatory acne and doesn’t dry my skin out but it doesn’t get rid of these closed comedones. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Clear Skin Days by Clarifying Serum Also, I tried out the ordinary AHA/BHA back in April and I use that once a week. I like it for inflammatory acne, but again, it doesn’t get rid of these bumps. The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I went to my dermatologist again in June & she gave me some salicylic acid pads (ZO oil control pads) to use which I’m still trying to determine if they’ve helped at all. They’re a bit drying and I haven’t seen much progress as I would’ve liked to after 2 months. ZO SKIN HEALTH - Oil Control Pads Acne Treatment I have sensitive dry/combo skin. A lot of products are too drying / powerful for my sensitive skin. Has anyone found a product/ingredient/solution that will get rid of these comedones? They make me so self conscious. I’m looking for a product to get rid of them but is also safe for my sensitive skin & won’t dry me out. Also, I’m open to suggestions for a new moisturizer.. I currently use the Cerave moisturizing cream but I know that has some comedogenic components in it. I would greatly appreciate any advice!!!

// EXERCISE = HAPPY SKIN //
// EXERCISE = HAPPY SKIN // . • Exercise decreases the level of the stress hormone cortisol, which can be beneficial for chronic skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis + acne. . • Increasing your circulation with cardio delivers a greater amount of oxygen + nutrients to your skin, which helps repair it + increase collagen production. Enhanced blood flow helps skin cells regenerate + remove toxins more efficiently. . • After your workout, don’t forget to wash your face though! Sweat will not make you breakout, however, sweat creates a warm, moist environment which bacteria love. . • If you are unable to wash your face right away, try using ZO SKIN HEALTH - Complexion Renewal Pads + HERBIVORE - Jasmine Green Tea Oil Control Toner 💪🏼 #illuminateskin

Week 1
Sorry for the late response. Long story short I had a lot of personal/family issues throughout the week. Some nights I couldn’t do my usual skincare routine but still do every morning. Well enough about that stuff so after week 1, I don’t see much difference. Perhaps a little lighter but I also have been using other products I have not mentioned a long with basic spray on sunscreen to prevent further sun damage and wrinkles. Along with that Korean skin care routine it has been said (no cite sourced) that the oriental culture and their secret to youthful bright skin is because they are raised with using and live by sunscreen. Apparently the recommendation (still haven’t read the can) is that we should apply sunscreen every 2 hours that we are outside. We should even use it in the winter/all other seasons because we still get those UV rays. I did not know this! I thought one application and we’re good but nope! No wonder I still get tanned/sunburn after application in the past! So back on to the rest of the products! OBAGI - Exfoliating Polish - I still really love this product, I felt like this first week and 2 I have not used it as much as I liked. I have dry skin and with the other products that cause dryness (will explain later) I should have used it more. I have combination so when I have dry skin I use this product 2-3 times a week. On my “oily-er” days. I use it 1-2 times a week. I bet if I used this product more my milia/clogged pores would have diminished quicker. ZO SKIN HEALTH - Exfoliating Cleanser Normal Cleanser - I actually like this cleanser. I find it odd though, perhaps because I’m not used to having normalized skin lol, but afterwards my skin does not feel tight nor oily. This is by far the best cleanser I have used when it comes to my combination skin. However, I’m not sure if things will change during winter due to the fact that my skin is extra dry during cold weather but for the summer it seems to have my t-zone and other areas balanced. ZO SKIN HEALTH - Complexion Renewal Pads - er... I have brought down my rating due to the fact that I do not see any difference. I meant to get my vitamin-c brightener from Zein Obagi and accidentally got the wrong bundle but I tend to love all their products so I was willing to try. I see no difference in my skin and either this product or the Acne Control dried up my skin for the first week. I will not be getting this product again. Although, this may help with sensitivity and ph balance. Their other products tend to have multi-purpose (eye cream has retinol which also fights acne, milia, clogged pores, blackheads.) So I’m not too concerned about using this particular product. I rated it a 3-star because it did not break me out or cause any redness. ZO SKIN HEALTH - Daily Power Defense - I also lowered the ratings for this because you literally won’t see any(to be continued..)

Thank You for 100 Followers 💗
Thank you to all 100 of you that follow me, and for everyone who cheers for and saves my content! I appreciate it so much and I’ve had so much fun creating on Cherie. I’m still trying to find my own style since I didn’t quite get the creative genetics in the family, but I hope to keep creating for you all on here. ❤️ So, here’s my latest Sephora haul! I went shopping yesterday since I had a Sephora discount. I’ve only tried the KOPARI - Coconut Crush Scrub so far, and oh boy. The smell is so sweet, I just want to eat it 😂 The crushes Tahitian coconut shells and brown sugar buff away dry and dead skin, while the coconut oil leaves the skin with a softness and a smooth feel. I truly believe the product does what it says. I’m usually concerned about coconut oil in skin care because I’m quite acne-prone, so I didn’t use this product on my chest or neck. I don’t think I’ll use this all the time, but when I have some extra time on days off, why not!? This is definitely a luxury and not a necessity, but I bought it in the name of self-care. 😁 I purchased the ORIGINS - Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask to Rescue Problem Skinsince I loved how the the ZO SKIN HEALTH - Sulfur Masque made my skin feel decongested and look nice and clear. The Origins mask was $34 for 75mL, but Zo is just under $100 at the derm’s office here in Edmonton. Might as well give it a try! As for the hair oils from Ouai, I couldn’t decide on which of the 2 to get, so I got both! I’m currently using up my Living proof. - No Frizz Nourishing Oil which isn’t the best since my hair is still all over the place, but it helps my hair feel less greasy on the days I don’t wash it. Reviews to come! Happy Sunday everyone! 💞

REVIEW zoskinhealth- Sulfur Masque. THE CLAIMS: 💙 Absorbs surface oils and reduces oiliness with 10% Sulfur, Kaolin & Bentonite and calms irritation. 💙 Helps prevent clogged pores. 💙 Can also be used as a spot treatment on blemished areas. 💙 Glycerin replenishes hydration to restore skin barrier function. MY RESULTS: 💙 When I started using this mask I had a little sensitivity and peeling and surprise surprise guess who’s fault that was? Yep mine because I added it in with the RNR, Invisapeel & Vitamin C. I should have phased this in gradually with the other skincare and it was just too many potent ingredients all at one time. 💙 Its recommended to use 1-2 times a week, I only use it once a week or once every 2 weeks just depending on how my skin is. I used to apply it all over my face but I’m not oily so I started to just apply it to my T Zone to help keep my pores clear. 💙 You feel a tingling feeling when this is initially applied but that subsides within a minute or 2. It dries down quickly but doesn’t leave the skin feeling tight. I usually keep this on for 20 minutes because that’s the magic number for me to apply masks for. 💙 If your prone to oily skin you can use this in the morning after cleansing and this will keep your oils at bay throughout the day and create the perfect canvas for make up. It’s easy to remove also so wouldn’t be time consuming in the morning. 💙 I used to carry out a blackhead removal facial once a month but since using this mask I don’t need to do that as often because it really does leave your pores clear. 💙 Although this is an oil absorbing mask it does not dry my skin out at all.

Acne struggle! Don’t know what to do anymore
Hi! The first picture happened almost out of no where I don’t remember drastically changing anything in my skin care routine. I did dermaplane my skin and I have a theory I might’ve destroyed my moisture barrier and really irritated my skin! What I was originally doing Morning routine COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Night routine COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% (Alternating products below) The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA ZO SKIN HEALTH - Retinol Skin Brightener .5% The Ordinary - 100% L-Ascorbic Acid Powder FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream I have since taken out all actives and now I use CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin First picture is my original routine, rest of the photos are about a week after new routine. It’s gotten better but still not very good. I used to have clear skin and would only get small break outs. Nothing to this extreme!

Skin concern: hyperpigmentation
Skin concern: dark spot (hyperpigmentation) Skin type: combination 7 years ago I met a dermatologist at an event and when he saw me he said "you have a dark spot on your face" I told him that it was not possible and he replied "can I show you?" He take photos with a dermatological camera, the truth at that time is that I didn’t see the dark spots that he said I had, even seeing the photos from the camera I didn’t see where he said I had them. He told me "use this SkinTx kit" SkinTx - Starter system program 3 (hyperpigmentation) I started using it a month before I got married and it was the worst decision of my life! It caused me cystic acne, I ended up marrying with a pimple on my chin 😑😭. I stopped using the treatment and forgot about the dark spot. Years passed... and that hyperpigmentation that he told me I had, right where he pointed me, was visible. One day I saw myself in the mirror and I saw it! 😱 I was in shock, so I immediately spoke to him and asked for an appointment. My treatment from the beginning consisted of VIVIER - Retinol 1% Night Complex and VIVIER - Serum 10 and obviously sunscreen. At first I was peeling, experience minimal skin redness and irritation, after a few weeks those discomforts passed and I began to notice improvements in the quality of the skin, decreased the appearance of pores and fine lines. Month after month I went back to the dermatologist and did a new scan with the camera and we saw how the dark spot was disappearing. After 10 months of treatment the dark spot was gone! He decided to change my treatment since my skin already tolerated that percentage of retinol and I changed it to ZO SKIN HEALTH - Retinol Skin Brightener .5% , honestly it was not the best decision since I got cystic acne again. So we decided to go back to the previous retinol. To date it is the treatment that I continue to use, it no longer irritates me or makes me peel off, and I think it is the reason that my skin remains healthy and with few signs of aging. In the morning I use vitamin C and sunscreen and at night I applied vitamin C first and then retinol. Retinol is a cosmetic treatment derived from vitamin A. It has been used topically to help decrease the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, smooth texture, and decrease hyperpigmentation. It is generally well tolerated. Vitamin C is one of the best anti-aging treatments (helps with fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin texture and tone), protects against sun damage and its safe to use in conjunction with retinol.

Vascular Dark Circles VS Pigment Dark Circles
The result of various factors, dark circles are a very common beauty problem among women in particular. They appear as a darker color and/or puffiness around the lower eyelid. We often talk about tiredness or stress, but these are not the only causes of dark circles. Most options available are a “one size fits all” type treatment not taking into consideration what type of Dark Circles you have. Until I actually did my research, is when I discovered what type I have and what ingredients work for it, and that most Eye Creams don’t specify which will work for which. So I wanted to share with you So I have Vascular Dark Circles. these type of dark circles that have a blueish hue due to Dilated blood vessels that sit close to the thin under-eye skin. The skin under your eyes is the thinnest skin on your entire body, and as we age the skin can become thinner. Dehydration, not getting enough sleep etc can cause blood to pool in the vessels under the skin, which can worsen their appearance. These types of dark circles usually occur to people who have a more fair skinned complexion. The top of ingredient that have helped me the most is Vitamin K. Vitamin K helps with blood coagulation and circulation. So using an eye cream with Vitamin k increases circulation and reduces the appearance of dark circles. In searching for Eye Creams with Vitamin K, there isn’t a bunch of products available compared to the amount of eye creams on the market, which confuses me since this ingredient is proven. Other good ingredients to use are Caffeine, Vitamin C, Niacinamide, Arnica and Retinol. So I use a Vitamin K eye cream in the AM and at night I use a Retinol cream, because Retinol not only helps with fine lines and wrinkles but it also stimulates collagen production, to help with the thin skin under the eye. The second type which is the Pigmented Dark Circles or hereditary/genetic dark circles due to excess pigmentation in the skin and usually effects people with a more darker complexion. Sun exposure can make them appear darker, as well as rubbing your eyes can worsen them. These type of dark circles you’ve had or noticed since a young age. Since the skin is actually darker you need ingredients to actually lighten the skin color itself. In order for your dark circles to gradually produce less pigment and not become darker overtime is to use certain lightening products, which have ingredients like hydroquinone acid, kojic acid and Vitamin C. Kojic acid can help make hereditary dark under-eye circles less noticeable by blocking the production of melanin (the substance that gives the skin its color) Retinol can also help as well. A more severe option like Laser treatments also help. It’s important to know that both types you can never really get rid off, but you can treat them with certain ingredients to make them better and to prevent them from worsening. The best toner to balance dry skin
The best toner to balance dry skin
ZO calming toner is a super light glycolic toner. It is advertised to balance PH, calm and hydrate the skin. I love this toner. After using a lot of aba/bha products my skin can get dried out easily and this balances and rehydrates it super nicely. It also helps exfoliate dry skin with a tiny bit of glycolic, sometimes people are dry because they are not exfoliating at all so that is another way it combats dryness. It is a super light toner and absorbs in to the skin nicely with no sticky after feeling. For under $40 this is a steal because it will last you a long time.

REVIEW OF: zoskinhealth - Grow
REVIEW OF: zoskinhealth - Growth Factor Serum. THE CLAIMS: Formulated with a combination of plant and enzymatically derived growth factors. Improves overall appearance of skin. Reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Improve skin firmness and elasticity. Restores hydration and reinforces the skin's protective barrier. MY RESULTS: Comes in a fully sealed pump action tub which keeps it fresh and free from contamination. My favourite time to use this is after a peel, after using Retinol or when the skin feels a little sensitive. My skin heals so much faster when I use this morning and evening alone with a cream. I have seen that my skin has appeared smoother and softer and it definitely softens the look of fine lines, however I will add that I always use this after a peel or retinol which in themselves combats lines. When I overused the Retinol and my skin was sore and sensitive this soothed my skin and reduced the irritation within a couple of days. I always just apply this on its own followed by Revitatrol cream which also repairs the skin. These products work so well together post procedure. These are now my go to products post peel and compromised skin. It does say that using this alone you will see softened fine lines with continued use for 12 weeks, I’ve not used it this long. Compared to the other Zo products I have this one didn’t actually last that long, I only use 1 pump am & pm and I’d say it lasted 3-4 weeks, I’m not sure if there is still some in the tub so I need to bust it open to see if it’s just not pumping out or whether it’s finished. This seems to be the problem with sealed containers. Nonetheless it won’t stop me from repurchasing because its so good.

Brightening sheet mask
Brightening sheet mask
This ZO ossential skin brightening sheet mask is used to prevent aging and brighten the skin. 2 awesome ingredients the mask uses are arbutin for brightening and green tea for anti aging. I love it, upon opening it the feeling is super hydrating and there is enough fluid inside to apply it to your neck. I usually keep it in the fridge and apply it for a nice cooling sensation. The day after is when I notice my skin looking nice and bright from the mask. I would recommend this mask to anyone with any skin type. It is kind of expensive at $20 per mask so it is best for a special occasion ;) ZO SKIN HEALTH - Ossential Brightening Masque

Oil control pads
Oil control pads
ZO oil control pads are marketed to absorb excess oil for oily/ acne prone skin. They are textured pads so not only do they exfoliate chemically but also physically when you run them on your face. I love using them in the morning after cleansing because it keeps my face from producing too much oil thruout the day. Sometimes they can be drying but if you use them with the calming toner it will balance out the dry skin. You get 60 pads and it’s about a dollar per pad. They do smell a little like alcohol and can be super strong for people that are not used to exfoliating. It’s good to cut them in half of your sensitive, it also will make them last longer!
