To purchase list (TPL)- YES or NO?
alpyn beauty - PlantGenius Melt Moisturizer While I only got two 2 of this in 1 day, am & pm, I was able to determine it’s not for me. The scent was off-putting, a very natural scent which I wouldn’t mind if it didn’t linger. It’s also got some oils in it that can be irritating. At $60 this is a very pricey moisturizer. It claims the benefits of Bakuchiol (retinol alternative), Squalane and Vitamin C BUT you don’t see these ingredients until over half way through the ingredient list! TPL - NO
REN CLEAN SKINCARE - Evercalm Overnight Recovery Balm $49 I really liked this. I like to really moisturize up at night so I would add my nightly moisturizer and top off with a thin layer of this balm. I had no issues with a sticky mess and my hair (or pet hair) all over my face as I have had with a previous balm. One ⭐️ taken for fragrance. TPL - YES
DIOR - Capture Dreamskin Care & Perfect A gorgeous primer/serum but incredibly overpriced at $120! Not as fragrant as some I’ve used before being it has the added fragrance but there are more reasonably priced options available, Tatcha’s primer even being half the price! TPL - NO
TATCHA - The Silk Peony Melting Eye Cream $60 This eye cream is THICK! It’s more like a balm that is meant to melt into your skin. For me it was hard to spread around my eye area. I would try to warm up between my fingers first but just didn’t find it easy to work with. I’m not a fan of using fragrance around my eyes either. While I love Tatcha I have other eye creams I’d rather use. I also did not like product in this type of container, very small and not sanitary given the texture. TPL - NO
SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes All in One Lactic Acid Treatment $120. I believe I’ve talked about this one before. It is such a small sample but a tiny (pea-size) amount is only needed. So I was able to determine this was non-irritating to my skin. It’s got a pretty decent ingredient list except for the fragrance. I prefer using Farmacy’s Honeymoon Glow with AHA & BHA at half the price. TPL - NO
Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum $72. While I initially thought this was working for me I’ve realized it may have brightened some areas of skin but did not help fade or reduce my spots. A pretty simple serum to use with no issues in my routine.
TPL - NO
LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer $33 A HIGHLY popular toner that has a pretty simple ingredient list. I love a good hydrating toner and this hits the spot! It’s easy to transfer from my hands to my face and my skin drinks it up. I was able to add as many layers as I’d like without any side effects. Only downside is Laneige is not cruelty free. TPL - NO

Pretty in pink!
The Alpyn Beauty Melt Moisturizer is so beautiful and smells very earthy! It has a very beautiful pink tint to it. I enjoy this moisturizer but it is not my favorite. It is very thick, and sometimes leaves a dry egg feeling on my face. Which is a no for me. I have very dry and sensitive skin so I though it would be perfect for me! I ended up giving it to my mom who has combo skin and she loved it! She likes it so much that I bought her a new one for her birthday! It is a beautiful skincare line, and I absolutely love the little meanings behind some of their products. For example the pink color of their products is meant to mimic the alpynglow!

alpyn beauty - PlantGenius Line-Filling Eye Balm alpyn beauty - PlantGenius Creamy Bubbling Cleanser
I’ve been using the Alpyn Beauty Line-filling Eye balm & Bubbling cleanser for a few weeks now and I can see a bit of a difference in terms of hydration around the eye area. I don’t have crazy wrinkles but I can see a bit of plumpness to my eyes since using it. ✨
✨
The texture is super soft and it’s like you barely feel it but it absorbs around the area really well. Make sure that you don’t have any moisturizer or anything in that area when applying because I did see some pilling when I did have any product in that area before hand. The cleanser itself you rub on your palms and then massage into face. ✨
✨
As far as eye creams go, I’m not a big fan of them because most moisturizers give you what you need that’s in an eye cream. To me, eye creams are more of a marketing thing and basically a tiny tube of moisturizer with a higher price. ✨
✨
This is definitely a luxury type of eye cream to me because of the high price. In my opinion, if you want to splurge go for it. But if looking for a simple eye cream, go for a cheaper one. The cleanser has great hydrating properties as well as AHAs but I didn’t really see any effects as I see with my other cleansers that has AHAs. If I were to choose between the two, I’d go for the eye cream the most 😘.

Wild Arnica—Antibacterial + anti-inflammatory. Contains Sesquiterpene lactone and flavonoids, which nourish skin, heal bruises and burns
Wild Chamomile—Anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anti-irritant + anti-fungal. Reduces DNA oxidative damage
Borage Rich in gamma linoleic acid (GLA), an essential fat to help prevent water loss and boost skin cell strength when taken internally or applied topically
Calendula—Anti-inflammatory + anti-bacterial. Heals wounds, burns, and helps treat eczema. Nourishes dry, damaged skin
Sage—Addresses wrinkles, fine lines, and age spots. Loaded with calcium and vitamin A to protect from free radical damage and assist in skin cell regeneration
There are three products in the line. The Creamy Bubbling Cleanser looks like shimmering liquid pink marshmallows. Melt Moisturizer is my favorite from the line which has a super light yet hydrating texture. It sinks right into the skin and doesn’t feel heavy or greasy. The Line-Filling Eye Balm will be perfect for the colder season with it’s hydrating cushy texture.

It was love at first use with this moisturizer. It is thicker than what I typically use. It hydrates, soothes, and renews my skin. The scent is very subtle, but every time I put it on, I get just a faint whiff of the mountain air where this was created. It really lifts my spirits and reminds me of home. I didn't know a moisturizer could do that. alpyn beauty - PlantGenius Melt Moisturizer

Overall this moisturizer is amazing. I love the all natural ingredients that it contains and how awesome the small business feel is of this company. The moisturizer is a life save for my skin in the winter months. It feels like velvet on the skin. It hydrates and firms my skin flawlessly. The scent is very light but very natural smelling. I will always repurchase. alpyn beauty - PlantGenius Melt Moisturizer

What exactly is a ‘Melt’ moisturizer? ☁️
Alpyn gifted me their alpyn beauty - PlantGenius Melt Moisturizer complimentary for my honest review.
Alpyn claims this moisturizer is a whipped, anti-aging moisturizer that contains antioxidants, ceramides, and bakuchiol. It’s a cream formulation that is $60 for 1.7 fl oz. It’s said to target fine lines, wrinkles, dryness, and loss of elasticity.
The bakuchiol is what initially drew me into this product. It is a natural alternative to retinol. When I looked at the ingredient list I found it was more than halfway down the list which was disappointing. What I disliked even more was the orange oil and lavender oil halfway through the list. When you open this jar (which is glass with a metal lid! But that’s about where all the props end for me) you immediately get that whiff of orange. I tend to stay away from products with both these oils because they can be very sensitizing to the face. When they say melt they completely mean melt as well. The whipped, cream formulation is nice at first but it offers no moisture benefits to the skin. It has hyaluronic acid and squalane pretty high up on the ingredient list but the minute this absorbs into my skin (which is pretty fast) I feel dry. I have oily skin so I can’t imagine how someone with dry skin would feel using this.
Overall this product really does nothing for me and I can’t get past the orange and lavender oil. I think it’s extremely over priced for a moisturizer as well. I don’t think it’s worth it and I wouldn’t recommend.
