Makeup Tools I Can’t Live Without✨#CheriePartner
REAL TECHNIQUES - REAL TECHNIQUES Blush Brush My go-to brush for powder! I know it’s a blush brush but I love that it’s not too dense and is able to pick up the perfect amount of powder (AKA enough to dim any shine but not enough to completely mattify my skin). It’s also super inexpensive and can be found at most drugstores! it Cosmetics - Airbrush Dual-Ended Flawless Complexion Brush #132 My go-to brush for blush! The large side is fluffy, round and not too dense- so it applies a sheer amount of color to my cheeks and has the perfect shape for blending and buffing into the skin! It gives a super soft airbrushed effect to my blush. (I don’t really use the smaller side) NUDESTIX - NUDESTIX Blend & Buff Brush My favorite brush for bronzer/contour! The bigger side is dense and picks up a decent amount of product. The shape also allows it to “blend and buff” (LOL) bronzer into my skin without sheering it out too much into nothing. The smaller side is also perfect for contouring the nose (if that’s your thing) or for blending cream eyeshadow (what I use it for)! it Cosmetics - Airbrush Blending Crease Brush #105 The BEST brush for concealer! I know using a brush to blend in concealer is a bit controversial as I know MANY people prefer a sponge. But this brush literally airbrushes the concealer under my eyes and makes it look like I don’t have under-eye circles at all! shu uemura - Eyelash curler I don’t always curl my lashes but when I want a dramatic, long-lasting curl for every single lash, this is the one I go for! It grabs onto all my lashes and gives it a true curl. My tip is to curl three sections of the lash (once at the root, once in the middle and once at the ends) to create a real full curl like a “C” and not like an “L”.

EASY Kitten Eye 🐱 (Baby Wing) #CheriePartner
I love a winged liner look but sometimes I only want something subtle. A “Kitten Eye” or “Baby Wing” is always my go-to eye look for all kinds of occasions! Especially with everyone wearing masks nowadays, the first thing everyone sees are your eyes and this look is cute, flirty and definitely elongates your eyes! The main difference (to me) between a kitten eye and a cat eye is that a kitten wing is much smaller and and shorter compared to a cat eye winged liner. This kitten wing is only at the outer 1/3 of the eye whereas a cat eye wing would start from the inner corner of the eye and extend even further out! What you need: A liquid eyeliner (or sharpened eye pencil) DollyWink - DollyWink Liquid Eyeliner This Dollywink Liquid Eyeliner is my go-to eyeliner and has been a favorite for almost 8 years!!! I discovered it during my freshman year of high school and has always remained the best of the ones I have tried. It’s extremely long wearing, very waterproof, and high in pigment. I also prefer the brush tip over a felt tip! An eyelash curler shu uemura - Eyelash curler I’ve had this eyelash curler since middle school and have only changed out the pads twice since! It reallys hugs my eye shape and curls every. single. lash! It’s truly the best eyelash curler ever. A mascara MAYBELLINE - The Falsies Push Up Angel Mascara I have been LOVING this drugstore mascara! The plastic brush really helps to push up, curl and separate my lashes. It gives a really defined but fluttery effect on my lashes and is probably one of my favorite mascaras ever! How to draw the baby wing: (view 2nd pic!) 1) Using the liquid eyeliner, trace the outer 1/3 of your upper lash line. 2) Draw a thin line out following the direction of your bottom lash line. But not too long. 3) Starting from the outer point of the line your just drew, draw a third line bringing the wing back in. 4) Fill in the triangle! Tada! 5) Curl your lashes and apply mascara! Let me know if you try this out and whether you like it!

After my AM skincare routine, I like to put on a quick and light look before heading to work or starting my day. Due to my combination and comedone prone skin, I try to pick out products compatible with my skin concerns. HOURGLASS - Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15 This is the best make up base you could ask for. 💴$hu Uemura ‘urban moisture’ $hampoo & Mask🧸🧡
Just got around to trying these very sleek samples of the (very expensive) ‘urban moisture’ line by Shu Uemura. 🇯🇵 Shu Uemura, whom passed away in 2007, was a Japanese makeup artist & founder of the cosmetics line which bears his name. 🌳The all-star ingredient in both of these products is Moringa seed oil. Moringa seeds have a high oil content & have many nutritional compounds, including monounsaturated fats, protein, sterols, tocopherols (Vitamin E) & 18 essential amino acids. The small tree native to the Himalayan mountains is sometimes referred to as “the miracle tree” because virtually all parts of Moringa, including the seeds, roots, bark, flowers & leaves, can be used for nutritional, industrial, or medicinal purposes. Moringa seed oil can be used to grow thicker & longer hair because it’s chock full of beneficial nutrients, protein, vitamins & minerals to stimulate healthy growth. 📲🌳Swipe through for more info & pictures of this amazing ingredient. 💇🏻‍♀️About my hurr: Very very thick hair, both strands & density. Dry & grows slow. Type 2B waves that can either look really frizzy & lack definition, or when hydrated, can appear pretty straight/lots of body. Natural dark brunette, currently no color damage. No heat ever- shoulder length. shu uemura - Urban Moisture Hydro-Nourishing Shampoo $49/10.14 oz 😦dayym💔 The price sucks & I’m mad cuz I really like this! The claim: A moisturizing shampoo for dry hair types- to cleanse, nourish & rebalance moisture levels without weighing down strands. Purifies & protects against pollutants & future dryness. Color-safe. This has a fair amount of other moisturizing ingredients in addition to Moringa oil, because it needs a carrier oil. In this shampoo, they use fatty acid rich Soybean oil. (this oil's main asset to hair is moisture retention) The lipids help your strands & scalp to absorb treatments. 🌊 It also contains hydrating red seaweed extract! My review: 🧡I immediately fell in love with this. I always try to use hydrating/moisturizing shampoos, but some can still feel a little stripping. NOT THIS! I don’t think I’ve have ever tried a new shampoo, where by mid-lather, I was like I NEED THIS! I didn’t check the prices until after. It hurts a little, because I enjoyed the results & experience of this product so much! The scent is like white tea with milk & honey🍃🥛🍯 It’s very subtle & soft. So nice! It reminds me of the old Dior Hydra Life line. Fragrance is the last ingredient. I definitely want to purchase! It felt so nourishing & you don’t need much product. So impressed! shu uemura - Urban Moisture Hydro-Nourishing Treatment $69/6.7 oz 😧 The claim: An intense moisturizing mask that hydrates & nourishes parched hair- for tamed & detangled shine. Protects against future dryness & pollutants. Color-safe. My review: Wasn’t as wowed by this. My hair didn’t get much shine. It was nice, but not for the price. ShuUemuraArtOfHair-usa.com

This Shu Uemura duo was gifted to me via @influenster. shu uemura - Urban Moisture Hydro-Nourishing Shampoo shu uemura - Urban Moisture Hydro-Nourishing Conditioner This luxury shampoo and conditioner duo is meant for those with dry hair who need a lot of hydration and can be used on straight, wavy, curly, kinky hair. The formulation is very lightweight with minimal scent. The products also help to strengthen your hair. ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ When using this product, very little product is necessary per use. Considering the steep price of these small bottles, I would love to get 30 uses out of this at least. The shampoo retails for $48 and the conditioner for $58. They are both available for purchase from Sephora.⁣ ⁣ ⁣ My hair has dried so nicely every time I’ve used this product. My frizzy, sometimes crazy hair dries smooth and straight. My hair is usually very knotty after the shower and I have to spend a lot of time brushing it out but with these products I didn’t. I’d love to continue using this haircare brand but I can’t justify the steep price. ⁣The packaging is also amazing! 😍 I give both these products 5/5⭐️ but unfortunately I will not repurchase due to the price.

Highly recommended Cleansing oil
I’ve been using shu uemura - Blanc:chroma lightening & polishing cleansing oil for almost a year and this is my second bottle. 😍 As a lazy girl, I’m so glad that I can use it as both makeup remover and face cleanser, so I don’t have to wash my face twice at night. Honestly speaking, though many people like foam, I don’t like foam texture. 🙈But I don’t like oil either.😂 When I found this oil can be quickly emulsified and leave no oily feeling on face, I fell in love with it. 👍 Makes skin soft and bright ✌️No nasty smell 👏Not irritating at all, suitable for all skin types 🥰Time saving 🤪 it’s on the pricey side! But totally worth it.

shu uemura blanc:chroma cleansing oil and eyelash curler 👑 blanc:chroma Cleansing Oil - This oil claims to 1) clean your face, which is standard, and 2) brighten the overall skin tone and lighten dark spots, which is wild. On the cleansing front, I think this works really well; It truly feels like the most emollient, effective, yet gentle cleansing oil I’ve ever tried. 💰 However, it is also 400% more expensive than my usual Kose Speedy Cleansing Oil. At $45, I would need it to live up to the second part of the claim - to brighten my sun spots - but I haven’t used it enough to evaluate that yet. The intriguing ingredients that would achieve that are volcanic clay (mild exfoliant) and Lipo HA, a modified salicylic acid that accelerates skin regeneration. I’ll definitely check back in! 💄 Eyelash Curler - This curler is iconic, an Allure best of beauty winner, and FINALLY FITS MY ALMOND SHAPED EYES. What a godsend! No more pinched lids, and it actually curls my stick-straight eyelashes from the base. At $20 at sephora, this is a great product at a fair price. ✨TLDR: Really enjoyed both of these products, but need more time with the blanc:chroma to see if it evens my complexion.

BEST styling tips & tricks⭐ Grab an effortless long layered hairstyle!
I love my layered haircut, which adds a lot of volume to my thin hair. However, it's quite troublesome to refresh a long layered hairstyle after getting out of the salon as layers can get messy quickly. After doing lots of googling, I got these fantastic styling tips: Blow-drying your hair instead of air-drying it.  It can make the layers more noticeable by blow-drying them. Therefore, always use a blow dryer after taking a shower instead of leaving your hair air-dried. Carefully choosing your hairbrush. A wrong brush can lead to pesky frizz, so you need to get the right one based on your hair type. Use a boar-bristle brush if you have curly hair, which can smooth out your hair. However, grab a ceramic brush with nylon bristles if you have straight hair because using this kind of brush can add more volume and bounce to your hair.  Applying a volumizing hair product.  Applying a volumizing product like a hair styling spray to your root area can help to define curls and make the look last longer. Personally, I'm obsessed with OUAI's hair mist which leaves my hair a shiny and smooth finish. OUAI - Memory Mist Finishing with a smoothing serum.  Don't forget to moisturize your hair with a smoothing serum. Otherwise, your layers can look kind of frizzy and dry. It's better to only have 2 to 3 drops of serum on your roots as you don't wanna make your hair look greasy. For gals with dry hair, I recommend Shu Uemura's hair serum! Even though it is a little bit expensive but it worths every penny because it is super hydrating and moisturizing!shu uemura - Essence Absolue Nourishing Taming Overnight Serum What are your styling tips for a layered hairstyle? Cleansing Routine For Acne-Prone Skin✨
I cannot stress just how important cleansing is in a skincare routine. I believe in a double cleanse because, for me, the first step is always to remove my makeup, and then cleanse the skin. Removing your makeup and cleansing your skin in just one step with one cleanser isn’t enough! Removing only makeup from your skin isn’t called deep cleansing as it’s only surface level! Build up of sebum deep in the skin can cause congestion and breakouts in the future! Here is a breakdown of my morning and evening cleansing routine. Morning: A gentle gel cleanser is perfect for the morning because your face shouldn’t be that dirty from sleeping! But as you sleep, there can be build up of oils on the surface of your skin, and possibly retinol and other active ingredients that you applied the night before. It’s important to remove these actives that can be sensitive to sunlight properly before stepping outside during the day! JC Jane Clare - HA Cleansing Gel This gel cleanser is gentle but effective. It doesn’t leave my skin feeling stripped or dry. It’s perfect for my combination skin! Evening: My first cleanse is always a cleansing oil or cleansing balm (basically an oil in solid form!). Oils break down ALL makeup super easily, fast and is effective without you having to tug at your skin which can cause premature wrinkles! I love a good waterproof mascara but they literally melt in 5 seconds as soon as I massage a cleansing oil into my lashes. shu uemura - Anti/oxi+ pollutant & dullness clarifying cleansing oil I looooove this cleansing oil. It feels lightweight on my skin but is super effective! I start with a dry face and dry hands, massage this oil in my skin until my makeup looks pretty dissolved and then I add a bit of water on my hands and massage my face again. This allows the oil to then emulsify and properly rinse away the makeup from my skin without leaving any residue! My second cleanse is a cleanser meant for acne-prone skin! Every other night I’ll use it with my Clarisonic Face Cleansing Device! LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin This has salicylic acid in it which is a great active ingredient that gets deep into the layers of your skin to cleanse and purify the skin. This helps so much with treating my existing breakouts and preventing more from showing up! It’s a great cleanser that I recommend to all my friends with “problem” skin. What do u think of my cleansing routine? Do you double-cleanse? Why or why not?

Blast Combo! 👍 Tik Tok Flawless Brush Review
shu uemura - Petal 55 Foundation Brush shu uemura - Unlimited Breathable Lasting Foundation SPF 24 This is called the flawless foundation brush and it just recently went blast on tiktock and I’m here to try it out, and share my first impressions and overall thoughts about this. One thing that’s amazing to notice here is that I have washed this many times and it still looks like new. The bristles have never fallen out. It has a 50,000 reviews on tiktok. I have this Shu umbra makeup on my had. and im gonna apply this foundation with their brush. I know that it doesnt have to the the same foundation. And it is not necessarily the case here. Since it is actually the brush that we are mainly reviewing. It just my theory and I always believe that same branding works way better than other combos. For the actually application process, I just blotting it all over my face (I also put some foundation on my neck just for the overall look). I put 2 pumps with this foundation and brush. It feels very soft when you actually applying. With bare fingers I normally put one pump, with makeup applicators like sponges and brushes, I found that they take away at least 1/3 of the product, so I normally apply more when using those tools. Similar to a sponge, I just blend the foundation with this brush all over my face. I kind of go a second layer with leftover on my hand and do that on the areas that I do not have enough coverage on my face. And I have to say, I am impressed. Comparing with beauty sponges, it absorbs less product. I was really surprised that there was no streaks at all. If the foundation is too thick, it might leave some streaks and you can press it with this brush to get rid of that. Overall this brush is way over my expectation and does an amazing job. It is not cheap but you can definitely found similar product on Amazon for a better deal.

#Shu Uemura - Anti/Oxi+ pollutant & dullness clarifying cleansing oil[products]#[TwoStars] This is the Anti/Oxi+ pollutant & dullness clarifying cleansing oil from Shu Uemura that is formulated to cleanse away micro impurities, makeup and dirt. It has green tea extract, papaya extract and mornings extract. It’s anti-oxidant and helps against pollution. This all sounds so good and I’m so sad it didn’t work for me. It smells bad first of all and I feel like maybe I got a bad batch? Second, it’s super thick in consistency and felt almost too thick... it wouldn’t wash off my face even. It looks okay in the bottle, lightweight and all but it doesn’t emulsify or anything when washed off. So I definitely think I somehow got a faulty product but I can only review what I got so... It was bad! I wouldn’t recommend this oil from what I have experienced. It was expensive too, $35 for this 150ml bottle. The formula sounds amazing and the whole thing on the website as well but it just wouldn’t wash off and left my face oily and sticky, I tried it only three times because of this.

Yes, eyeliner can be creative too!
Yes, eyeliner can be creative too!
Unlike eyeshadows or lipsticks, eyeliner seems to leave us less choices, and we tend to stick to a few brands. Previously, I would usually keep only one eyeliner at a time. But now I find out the creativity that eyeliners can create! Most of us will have one eyeliner that's black or brown. How many of you haven't tried colored eyeliner? Trust me. You will fall in love with them! For a very long time, I only use liquid eyeliner for the reason of clean and crisp line. However, then I found eye pencil is firm enough to create a definite line and soft enough to blend more naturally with glide (and not that easy to make a mistake). DIOR's Diorshow Pro liner in the shade Brow is my daily eyeliner. Besides, I have an eyeliner from SHU UEMURA in the shade Violet Brown to get some creative looks and for some special occasions. The Diorshow Pro liner in brown is suitable for all daily occasions from work to study, casual to formal. The pencil tip is in a beveled shape that uncommon to see, which looks like an eyebrow pencil. I can get an intense fine line by laying the pencil and use the sharp edge, and it requires no sharpening. The unique shape makes this pencil outstanding when I'm trying to get a thick line, just point the pen to the lash line perpendicularly and use the thick plane. In addition, as an oily skin I can say this is one of the most water-proof eyeliners I've ever used. Nevertheless, I don't recommend this for makeup beginners as it might be difficult to operate. The Violet Brown one is my favorite item for hanging-out. Perfect when I'm going to shopping or date with my besties. It's so cute and fairy when matches with pink and violet tone eye makeup. Sometimes you need a colored eyeliner to bring in some vitality! The body is very tiny to help draw a precise and sharp line. This eye pencil from SHU UEMURA has a soft gel texture, which makes it super silky and smooth to smudge, yet it also magically firm a film as soon as you draw it on, which makes it long-lasting and anti-smudging. It won't be smudged even I rub it with a finger. This is also tagged as water-proof, slightly inferior than DIOR's eyeliner, but still put up a good performance. DIOR - Diorshow Waterproof Pro Liner

Butterfly Lady🎀White or Pink Face Primer?
Butterfly Lady🎀White or Pink Face Primer?
These two face primer have one thing in common, whitening and brightening the complexion. I have used MAC strobe cream for a long time. According to makeup bloggers’ experience, I mix it into my foundation as a 1:3 ratio every time. The effect of this method is more natural and brightening to my skin. Its texture has a little bit thick, color is white, so mixing it into the liquid foundation with good fluidity can present a much better effect. The photo I have shown on the picture is the first generation, MAC has updated packages’ pattern, but the component content would not be changed. I bought it from MAC in Saks Fifth Avenue. Price is $35 and is reasonable. MAC - Strobe Cream The biggest difference between MAC and Shu uemura is their texture, one is solid, one is mousse. Before using the Shu uemura, we have to shake it. The color is light pink, and comes in slight pink cast. When you put up on your face, it is obvious that your skin color has been brightened up. It also has light coverage to your skin. I have recommended to my friends, because it can help our foundation stays fit all day! I bought it from Amazon. It seems like there are no U.S Boutiques sell this product:( I highly recommend your guys to buy the MAC. Although Shu uemura has did a good job on face primer, it does not have a high performance cost ratio.

Which is better? Liquid or Solid
Which is better? Liquid or Solid
My Skin tone: fair to light There are too many lipstick products on the market now. Lipstick, lip balm, lip tint, lip gloss, or lip stain, you cannot count how many kinds of lipsticks available now. Everyone's preference is also different. I owned liquid type lipstick as well as solid type. But which one is better, here are two similar shade icons of my collections. Solid lipstick: Guerlain 325 Rough kiss Normally, the package is black, but as you can see, mine is a red package. It’s a limited edition. I think no girls can deny the magic of “limited edition,” so do I. And that’s the reason why I bought this lipstick, ridiculous ahh? 😂 But I have to say this 325 is pigmented and hydrated. The shade is a moderately warm-toned, dark coral with a luminous finish. It suits fair to light skin tone girls, I think. This shade didn't appear to have any shimmer, for those who prefer their lipsticks to be shimmer-free. Because of the hydration, it is not that long-lasting. I need to reapply it every time after eating or drinking. Liquid lipstick: Shu Uemura matte supreme liquid lipstick MRD 01 This color is quite similar to Guerlain 325 Rough kiss I think, but a more red tone which is highly pigmented. It is a matte liquid lipstick with a lightweight texture that glides onto lips in a single sweep. It will dry out quickly. The coverage is good. The smudge-proof formula delivers deep, intense color. I found it is also long staying. I can wear it the whole day without reapplying. It’s so smooth. I thought a matte lipstick would be hard to apply or build layers, Shu Uemura matte supreme liquid lipstick changed my mind. For the package and hydration, I prefer Guerlain 325 Rough kiss for daily makeup. For a long-lasting and smudge-proof finish look, I prefer Shu Uemura matte supreme liquid lipstick MRD 01 for meeting and dating.

Even though my skin leans more
Even though my skin leans more combination, I habitually pamper it as if it were dry. It's just happier and more supple that way, and using oils and richer products hasn't caused pore clogging or excess oiliness as long as I'm diligent with cleansing. So when I saw that shuuemura had come up with different variations of their classic cleansing oil, I decided to try Ultime8, the one for dry skin. What I noticed is that even though the Ultime8 is their richest formula, it doesn't feel thick; in fact it's a thin, runny, incredibly silky feeling oil. It provides a good buffer for massaging over the face (unlike some thinner oils) but doesn't have that thick oil consistency that some people dislike. It emulsifies well and rinses off easily, but you do feel like there's a slight residue of oil on your face. I think this is intentional to prevent that stripped or dry feeling. Personally, I prefer to do a quick and gentle second cleanse with a foam cleanser to remove this residue, even though shuuemura says that a second cleanse isn't necessary after using their oil cleanser. I really feel this is great for dry skin folks, especially if you have trouble finding an oil cleanser that doesn't dry out your face!

The Shu Uemura cleansing oil shu uemura - shu uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoohas been one of my holy grail products for 3 years now. Here’s how to use the product. Step 1: Dispense the Shu Uemura cleansing oil from the pump and apply onto skin. Because I don’t use a lot of makeup, I find that one pump is usually sufficient for my entire face. Step 2: Massage the cleansing oil gently over makeup. As you can see from the picture three, the lip products (liquid lipstick and matte lipstick) were the easiest to remove. The Shu Uemura cleansing oil changed its colour from its clear, slightly yellow shade to the reddish hue of the lip products as it removes them. They almost can’t be seen immediately after I massage the product onto skin. Step 3: Concentrate more on stubborn areas. I used my fingers to go over the eye makeup a bit more and it also started to break down. Step 4: Wet your hands and go over the entire area to emulsify the oil Step 5: Rinse off with water I’ve been using the Shu Uemura cleansing oil for three years now, and it remains one of my favourite makeup removers. Besides its efficacy in removing makeup thoroughly (yes, even the most stubborn makeup, as you can see) and very quickly, it also doesn’t leave a greasy or tight feeling on the face after washing.
