Skincare Alphabet - H is for Hyaluronic Acid
If you haven’t heard of Hyaluronic Acid, you must be living under a rock (no offense to any starfish out there that might be reading this.) Hyaluronic Acid or HA has been all over the skincare world for quite sometime now and you can find this incorporated into almost every imaginable type of skincare product as well as makeup products like foundation and lipstick. HA is naturally occurring in your skin, joints, eyes, etc. and acts somewhat like a sponge. It holds water on your face to not only hydrate but keep it looking plump and fresh. It is a humectant which hydrates by drawing moisture into it from outside sources. Although it is an amazing ingredient, use with caution. Applying HA in the right order, after toner and essence but before moisturizer and oils, will make the HA and it’s effects on your skin last longer. This is especially important in dry, less humid environments. HA draws water and moisture from ANYWHERE including your skin. I live in Southern California where it is beautiful, but can also quite arid. On less humid days, I spray Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray on before I add HA so it grabs the water on the surface of my skin, instead of drawing from within my skin, and then seal it off with an emollient. I like to mix HA into my foundation on days I wants lighter coverage or more of a dewy look, especially when I’m experiencing post retinol flaking and dryness. How do you use your HA?

Sensitive Skin Game changer ❄️
What is the product? Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray How does it work? Thermal Water works by soothing the skin and calming any irritation What are the notable ingredients? Mineral Spring Water What is the price? $18.50CAD Where can you purchase? Shoppers Drug Mart, Rexall Pharmacy and online How long have I been using it for? I’ve been using thermal water for over two years, I started off using this product on my body and now still use it on my face What is my experience ? My experience with thermal water has been good, I suffer from eczema on both my body and face. It was hard finding products that wouldn’t irritate or cause a flare up. When that happened this product saved my skin and soothed it. At first I was not exactly sure how water would help my skin, but after doing research thermal waters are meant to have healing properties for the body and skin. What are my thoughts? This product is nothing short of amazing, you are able to use it for multiple areas and it lasts so long. The mist is super fine which makes it perfect for spraying on large or small spots, and pressing into the skin similar to how you apply a toner. Would I recommend to a friend? I would absolutely recommend this product to a friend or family or even someone looking to help soothe their skin but who doesn’t want to break the bank!! My overall rating? 5/5 Would I repurchase? I have and will continue to repurchase this product until I find something that exceeds how amazing this is! #CheriePartner

Best moisturiser for sensitive & acne prone skin
I thought I’d share this for people who have the same problem as me...I have very sensitive and acne prone skin and I’ve tried a large variety of moisturisers and none of them have worked for me. They normally either cause more breakouts, clog pores or doesn’t hydrate my skin enough. Also once I started using a retinoid gel for acne my skin became more sensitive and most moisturisers didn’t work well with my skin since they contained alcohol/perfumes etc.. After doing a lot of research and testing a lot of moisturisers, I came across thisAvène - Skin Recovery Cream and this moisturiser is just perfect. It hydrates my skin, doesn’t cause breakouts, doesn’t clog my pores and works great for sensitive skin. It does not irritate my skin at all and I’ve noticed my skin looks healthier after having use this moisturiser. Also another important thing was when I used other moisturisers that contained alcohol while using retinoids it burned and irritated my skin however this moisturiser was perfect since there is no alcohol and caused no irritation at all. So if you are like me struggling to find a moisturiser for sensitive skin, acne prone skin or one for during retinoid use. This might be the moisturiser for you too :)

Papaya enzymes be giving me ✨gLaSs sKiN✨🥺✌🏻
SKIN TYPE: Always dry and sensitive due to eczema, highly allergic to dust, pollen and some fragrances😔✌🏻. Around every 2 weeks or so I get eczema flare ups using Novasone (prescribed steroid ointment) to relieve it. GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm Personally, it’s a 3.75 out of 5 due to how pricey it is ($51AUD) and the main concern for people being that it leaves residue/oily film. It has its pros and cons but I think the pros outweigh the cons if you’re willing to spend for glowing, glass skin vibes. Glow Recipe claims to “Gently slough away dead skin... remove makeup, dirt and oil... softens the skin while delivering on hydration”, and sis is delivering. Eczema means a lot of dead skin and sebum build-up giving me a lot of milia bumps, especially the flaking skin from dry patches when you attempt to exfoliate while trying not to piss it off making it angry and inflamed; this for dry skin types was perfect as a gentle oil based cleanser. While I did try using this with light and medium heavy makeup on, I found that using a lot of product to remove heavier makeup left a film residue on the skin, with warm water rinsing not completely removing the feeling of something on my face. For this I use The ORCHID Skin - Cleansing Sponge ($5AUD) as a daily gentle physical exfoliant to remove the remaining residue/makeup. This combination of oil cleanser and facial sponge exfoliation surprisingly doesn’t irritate my eczema skin thus I use this daily cleanse once in the mornings and double cleansing at night. After 1 month of daily use I saw visible effects in which there was a decrease in bumps and pimples but it was a gradual change over continuous/consistent use. I take a small amount (the surface area of pinky nail) on each cheek and massage it in on my dampened face for ~1-2minutes then rinsing off and dried with a facial sponge. My skincare routine consists of: Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gelée Milk Cleanser & GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm Avène - Hydrance AQUA-GEL & Avène - Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream For anti-itching and soothing when the skin gets fucked LA ROCHE-POSAY - Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Repairing Balm or Avène - Skin Recovery Cream (only lasts ~2months using daily hence 4stars). THE VERDICT: Defo will be repurchasing due to how effective this Papaya cleansing balm has been for my skin in gently exfoliating, not drying or irritating at all for an eczema-sensitive, acne-prone skin type as well as they say it is made without fragrance but it still smells faintly of papayas🥰. HOWEVER, this is fucking expensive, there’s deffo cheaper alternatives such asheimish - Heimish All Clean Balm orThen I met you - Living Cleansing Balm I’m still repurchasing tho😔✌🏻

Dry Skin? Heres the products you NEED!
We all know how tough dry skin can be, as someone who used to struggle with extremely dry skin which has my moisture barrier still damaged and created hyper pigmentation in my skin, heres some products that can help heal it, as well as products that are made for dry skin. Avène - Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream This mostriuser is a thick restoring product, but is not oily or sticky at all. It minimises redness through its products and blue tint, as well as giving you a non oily glow without any break outs. Cetaphil, QV, Sukin, Cerave did not work for me when using their mostriusers. My skin was so dull and dehydrated until finding this product. Avène - Skin Recovery Cream Rich This mostriuser is a thinner mostriuser, I would reccomend this after an exfoiliater or scrub as it helps restore the damage afterwards, but not long term like the first product I mentioned. laura mercier - Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer With dry skin, its hard to find a concealer that doesnt cling to ur imperfections and flaky skin, or something that doesnt make you look cakey within one drop. This concealer is absolutely amazing for dry skin, and it makes it appear as if you arent wearing anything at all! I highly reccomend this conclear, its medium-light coverage depending on the shade you get. Heres some products that are popular BUT are not good for your skin. AT ALL! sukin - Detoxifying Facial Scrub Super Greens CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Face Scrub for Men ST. Ives - Gentle Smoothing Oatmel Scurb & Mask ANY PHYSICAL EXFOILATER OR SCRUB (this is just a few) Scrubs are extremely damaging especially for dry skin. While the benifets of exfoilating are very promising, its way better to invest into chemical exfoiliants rather than physical. FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer This concealer is popular and was my first, it is very good for normal-oily skin types but it seems to cling on to imperfections on dry skin. Ive mixed in a mostriuser into mine and its going pretty well, but its not a good concealer to start with. HOPE THIS HELPED<3

night routine
I’ve seen great results with this night time routine! I have combination, acne-prone skin and am really pleased with the results of the products mentioned below!!! Order is as follows: The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser this works great as my first cleanser, and melts away all my makeup and spf. You definitely have to work it into your palms for a few seconds to warm up the product for it to reach an oily consistency. Always leaves me feeling clean but moisturized. Avène - Cleanance Cleansing Gel for face and body I then go in with this cleansing gel to remove any makeup/greasy residue. It works amazing as my second cleanse and does a great job at leaving my skin clean but never stripped dry. HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray after I pat my face dry, I spray some of this on. It’s really soothing - the scent is a little strong if you’re not a fan of florals like me - it is rose water so like I kinda played myself. Works great to balance my skins PH and add moisture. The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 right after using the rose water spray, while my skin is still damp, I apply HA to boost moisture retention 🤪 I would definitely recommend a patch test before using this product if you’re acne prone as I’ve heard from some people this can worsen breakouts. I personally don’t have any issue with this serum and my skin loves it! Avène - Cleanance EXPERT I highly recommend this if you’re someone who struggles with clogged pores/blackheads! I actually started using this product thanks to reviews here on cherie and it has really made a difference in my skin! Wayyy fewer blackheads and active breakouts 😭🥳 The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG this eye serum is nice and light and great for dark circles & puffiness. It’s a must for me after a night of 🥂🥂 CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin this is a great everyday moisturizer!!! Can’t recommend it enough. Non-comedogenic so it won’t clog pores and it’s fragrance free - no irritation here ♡ The Ordinary - Retinol 0.2% in Squalane I use this up to 3x a week to help fade scars and even the texture of my skin and I LOVE it! This is my 3rd try at incorporating a retinol into my routine and I’ve finally got it to work for me. I’ve noticed a huge difference in my face and neck. Patch test before using and make sure to up your moisture game on nights you use this. Also make sure you have a great spf on hand in the morning! Let me know if you try any of these products out and if they work for you! I’m always looking for ways to improve so feel free to leave suggestions in the comments!! Thanks a million♡♡

morning routine
Consistency is KEY babes !!! Here is my current morning routine! I am definitely not a professional, just a gal obsessed with skincare. I’m starting to see amazing changes in my skin after sticking to this routine. My main concerns are acne and scars. Order is as follows: cocokind - Turmeric Spot Treatment I use this as a mask when I wake up and am making my coffee. I find it really helps to calm down any redness/irritation and fades dark spots. Avène - Cleanance Cleansing Gel for face and body I only use the tiniest bit in the AM to remove residue from the turmeric stick as it’s quite oily and bright yellow lol. I’ve used this cleanser for so long and it always leaves my skin feeling clean without feeling dry or tight. HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Spray after I pat my face dry I spray this on. It’s got a suuuper strong scent which I don’t love but it is perfume free🤷‍♀️ The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 while my skin is still damp I pat this on!!! I would recommend patch testing this out first- I’ve heard from some people that this HA serum increases their breakouts but I haven’t had an issue. Not sure if I NEED this in my morning routine as the ordinary’s alpha arbutin has HA in it?! But my skin responds really well to added moisture. The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I’ve started using these 2 products together to reduce breakouts and fade scars/dark spots and WOW, name a better duo I’ll wait🥺 For the first time in forever I have no active breakouts 👏 The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG I’m honestly not sure how much this really does for me but it’s super affordable and makes me feel fab. You only need the tiniest bit and it will last you forever. CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin we love Cerave in this household 👏👏👏 VICHY - Idéal Soleil Sport - Ultra-Light Refreshing Lotion SPF 60 SPF!!! Every👏day👏 This can be a little finicky and you need to make sure your other products are absorbed and your hands are clean and dry, as it has a tendency to pill 🥴 but I find it’s a really great spf for my skin and doesn’t break me out. All that being said, I am no expert and am always always always looking for ways to improve! Feel free to leave a comment 👇 Roast me to filth if you must 🤪 Thanks SO much💘

I Spent $130 On Skincare: 🏷 New Beauty Buys
A few weeks ago I posted about my one-on-one consultation with an expert from Avène. James spent over 30 minutes with me creating the perfect regimen for my skin. However, when I went to buy it and saw the $$ my jaw dropped. Over the past few weeks I just coming back to my shopping cart and finally just decided to go for it last week. Here is what I bought : Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion$32 this will be the second cleanser in my double cleanse system. First I will use the oil based Avène - XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil which I already own. Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray $18.50. I have used this in the past so I can speak to it’s worth. It’s healing mist that has soothing and anti-irritating properties. It’s the core of Avène as a company and has been healing skin for over two centuries Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cream$38 this will be my new everyday lotion. Potentially replacing my current go-to VANICREAM - Moisturizing Skin Cream Avène - Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream $42. This was the first Avene product ever introduced to be through my dermatologist and it’s amazing. It’s used to establish and maintain a healthy skin barrier. I will be using this after work as a no-rinse mask. I work 12hr shifts as a nurse and wearing the mask all day really irritates my skin. Also, I will use as needed for eczema &/or rosacea flare ups instead of the Tolerance Extreme Cream. Total cost: $130.50

Freshen-Up Your Skin Without Spending $$$
It seems like chemical exfoliates are all the rage in skin-care right now. Personally, they are too harsh for my sensitive skin. Whatever your reason may be for not diving head first into the trend, don’t worry you can still exfoliate ! Here’s how you can use baking soda to freshen up <3 Baking Soda? Yes, Baking Soda Baking soda can be used as a fine-grain exfoliant It’s anti-inflammatory and antibacterial 🦠. It kills the microbes causing acne. The anti-inflammatory properties can help razor bumps and reduce the redness that comes with acne. Maintains skin pH ⚖️. Baking soda draws out the excess oil from the skin by unclogging pores which will prevent future breakouts Obviously, removes dead skin cells How to Use Very very simple 🖤 Step 1) wash your face as normal to reduce everything on the surface Step 2) I mix half a pump of my cleanser with a teaspoon (or more) of baking soda. This part is up to you. You can make a paste with the two or use a little Step 3) moisturize as your usually do Step 4) Lip balm Step 5) Go conquer the world 🌍 Avène - XeraCalm A.D Lipid-Replenishing Cleansing Oil BIOSSANCE - Squalane+ Rose Vegan Lip Balm @CheriePick@cherie Edit: Only do once- twice a week max. As always I only speak to what I know about dry, sensitive and eczema prone skin. This was recommended by my dermatologist Dr. David Kaplan who is a nationally recognized as a master clinical in dermatology and expert dermatologist .

Avene moisturiser comparison
Photo comparing of the 2 creams are the tolerance extreme at the top and hydrance riche at the bottom. All three pics try and showcase the consistancy difference of both creams. Background of this review. I have 4 weeks into using prescription retinol “Epiduo” which has 0.1% Adapalene and 2.5% benzoyl peroxide My skin has tolerated epiduo amazingly. I started using it every night from the get go. My skin burned and was sensitive the first week and then chilled out. It is now dry looking especially under make up and so my concern is to hydrate hydrate hydrate! Prior to epiduo I had normal and acne prone skin. I now use epiduo as my last step in my nighttime skincare routine. Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cream This product comes in air right packaging and is light enough in consistency to use in the day. It is the least fragranced among the three and is very hydrating. Comparatively to the hydrance Riche cream it is more “watery” in consistency and is more whiter. It doesn’t spread as evenly as the riche cream but I feel is more “soothing” in a way. Due to its watery texture I feel it penetrates slightly deeper. Avène - Hydrance Rich Hydrating Cream This is similar to the tolerance extreme créme. It does the same thing to the skin however has a different vehicle. It’s more lotion based and blends into the skin more evenly. A more aesthetically better vehicle. It has a stronger “fragrance” to it however the fragrance is like baby powder scent which is a scent that means it doesn’t have fragrance 😅 Out of these 2 I honestly could recommend both. The extreme has more air tight packaging and watery texture. The riche cream is more lotion based and is also just as good. Both do the job and both are hypoallegenic. Both hydrate very well especially for “prescription skin” If I had to choose I would go extreme just due to that watery texture being able to penetrate deeper. And is better suited for bigger pores which I have around my nose area. Also airtight packaging is better. Avène - Cicalfate Restorative Skin Cream This is the thicker and more different cream. It still goes nice and thin as you spread it over your face and doesn’t leave a big white cast for me any my skin tone. This is great for all over the skin when I’m really dry or just over areas where I’m really dry. E.g just under eyebrows, eyelids, around mouth. I would definitely recommend this as a “pick me up” hydration if you feel you need a product that can boost your already hydrating routine. Or if you don’t have a hydrating routine and you need something for bedtime. I personally used this at night all over my face and spot treat in the morning if I need. Hope this helps anyone who is trying to find the best moisturiser from the brand 😊

My skincare
I have very sensitive skin, too sun, makeup, face wash, moisturizer, sunscreen., you name it! But here are some products that work for my skin. I’ve never had a horrible issue with my skin *knock on wood* but I did got through a few years of acne and flakiness on my skin. Off and on now I’ll get occasional breakouts but they will go away if I tend my skin correctly. Morning routine• Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion I wet my face and then apply this cream and wipe away access with a cotton pad. Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum This product I have good times with and some bad, but overall it doesn’t irritate my skin and I don’t apply it where I have small scarring because it seems to clog the area. ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff This one is a bit pricey but definitely worth it! The only eye cream I’ve used that actually works with brightening. I have extremely dark circles and this helps with it. Now I know I’m going to get attacked for not using a sunscreen but I haven’t found one yet that works. I’ve tried sooo many, ones directed toward sensitive skin and all have broke me out or triggered eczema. If you have suggestions let me know! ••••••••••••••• Nighttime routine• Simple - Micellar Cleansing Water I use this with a cotton pad all around my face and then follow with the Avène - Tolérance Extrême Cleansing Lotion Glossier. - Super Glow Vitamin C + Magnesium Serum this again and I’m finished! 🧡🧡☀️ Extra tlc for my skin! AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay this mixed apple cider vinegar became my best friend, I started this about two years ago and it has helped me so much. It can cause irritation but it doesn’t last very long, right after using I apply a generous amount of moisturizer. pixi - DetoxifEYE I will occasionally use these if I’m getting glammed up somewhere and they make such a difference!! •••••••••

Super simple skin routine-sensitive, dry skin
TRADER JOE'S - Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer with Aloe & Green Tea Extracts Great for a light day-time layer of moisture. Great price, no fragrance, so not a super risky buy if you’re looking to try it and you don’t need to use a lot. I don’t know yet if this will be enough moisture during the winter months, but it’s worked well in the summer/early fall. JUICE BEAUTY - STEM CELLULAR CC Cream Given my skin’s proneness to dryness, especially in winter, I like to keep my SPF separate from my moisturizer. Usually, combination day creams aren’t always hydrating enough. This is a great everyday SPF-it’s zinc, no chemical sunscreeen and doesn’t cause breakouts and never stings. It’s called a CC cream-I’ve found it doesn’t really offer any color coverage, beyond blending in the zinc so you don’t look like a ghost. If you’re looking for more of a makeup SPF product, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for non-chemical SPF that isn’t drying and is tinted to blend in well, I highly recommend! If you’re oily you may find your face looks too shiny from this, but great for dry skin. It lasts a lot longer than you’d think. Avène - Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotion I just started using this-I only cleanse at night. I’ve been looking for an alternative to Cetaphil cleanser that won’t break me out. Cetaphil is one of the only cleansers that doesn’t cause a reaction long-term, but there’s a few ingredients in it I’d rather avoid. I’ve only used this a few times, but so far I really like it. It’s gentle and leaves my skin feeling soft. We’ll see how it works long term! CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream Nothing fancy-but it works if you need a simple moisturizer. I’ve heard some people get breakouts from this, but I haven’t had an issue. It’s similar to Cetaphil cream in the tub-I’d say they’re comparable.

What I use to clean my face, deeply
I always look for cleansing products that are mild, have a strong cleaning ability, are easy to rinse off and don't leave my skin feeling dry. This facial cleanser of Avène Avène - Extremely Gentle Cleanser Lotionmeets all my expectations. It's a translucent liquid with fluidity similar to that of hair shampoo. Most people may not be used to it for the first time because it is not a foaming cleanser. But it really leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean even though it's really gentle and mild! If you're having skin issues, this cleanser is the one for you! Even though I have dry skin, I still need deep cleanse once in a while. I prefer mud cleansing masks, and this product, schaebens mud mask, is great because it's cheap and safe for me to use. I sometimes do feel some stinging when I am using it, but I see no irritation on my skin and my face feels great after using it. I bought this when I was traveling in Europe. So I'm not sure if it's easy to buy in America.

💓Game Changers💓 They SAVED My Extremely Dry Skin!!!
My sensitive, dry skin peels like crazy during the change of seasons. Sometimes I can't put on makeup, and even cleansing hurts a lot. After battling with this skin problem for over a month, my skin has finally stabilized. Let me share the products that I've used. Its maybe helpful for those with the same skincare concern. LA MER - LA MER The Moisturizing Soft Cream La Mer The Moisturizing Soft Cream works really well when my skin is unstable. It's more lightweight, and doesn't need to be emulsified before applying. It can be easily absorbed just by lightly patting it on with my fingertips. However, it only really helps maintain my skin balance. The only downside is that its sooooooo pricy 😫😫😫. So I will in introduce some affordable choices I've found. Avène - Skin Recovery Cream Rich This product can even repair peeling and flushed skin! I like how it's packaged. You squeeze the cream out so its content is not exposed to the air. It's recommended to apply it little by little so as to not apply too much, because it balls up easily. Use it continuously for a week to see your skin restored back to health. You can buy this if you are not ready to commit to the price tag of La mer. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration It's cheap and worth its price. It has a very thick texture but it soothes pain really effectively. However, it causes acne breakouts on my face, so I usually only use it when my skin peels like crazy. And I only slather the thick lay of the stuff on my face for a while and then wash it off. DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lala Retro Whipped Cream It contains oil but it doesn't feel heavy and it spreads easily. I usually use it during the day. However, it's not moisturizing enough and doesn't provide enough restorative care for dry skin so I'll use it with other products in my nighttime skincare routine. Have you ever try one of them? Share with me your experience!

The best Why should you use it? Ladies, if you want a dewy look, a glowing face and a fresh feel, do try this one out. A little spray on your face will do the trick! Let it dry and voilà! there you have it. Personally I use it after applying my Vitamin c serum in the morning and my retinol serum at night.

Great CC Cream for acne prone skin
Great CC Cream for acne prone skin
This CC cream is great! It has sunscreen, helps to neutralize the skin with an even and natural tint, color corrects and moisturizes! I use this all the time in the summer for beach days or no makeup makeup days. The texture is nice and light so it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing makeup at all! My only complaint is the shade range. Other than that I love it! Aveeno - Positively Radiant CC Cream

I work till very late and I hate splashing water on my face because Im so tired & wanting to sleep. First thing I like to do is use the Avene Gentle Milk Cleanser to take off all my makeup without any problems. Then I wash my face but I don’t require a lot of water because my makeup is off. The Avene Milk cleanser is one of my favourite makeup removing products, its affordable and clean. I have super dry skin, so milk based cleansers usually tend to work better with my skin. They keep my skin moisturized and soft. Its a no rinse cleanser and also an antioxidant for our skin. Avène - Gentle Milk Cleanser

It’s going to be bright & sunn
It’s going to be bright & sunny so I’m hoping to go to the movies or maybe the pool. ☀️ This Avène Thermal Spring Water is an intriguing product to me because I’m not sure when best to use it. I’ve been using it after toning to prep my face for treatments & that’s working pretty well for now. I may use it as a makeup refresher too. 👍🏾

Soothing face cream
Soothing face cream
Avene is a French brand that is targeted for more sensitive skin types. Their star ingredient is the thermal spring water which is said to improve your overall skin health. They have it in almost all their products. The recovery cream is supposed to be great if you want something simple to help soothe your skin, which is how I use it. However, it does have mineral oil, which depending on your skin type, you may not enjoy. It doesn’t bother me, but I could do without it. It is pretty pricy in my opinion for what it is. But it does the job and is travel friendly. Price: $35 for 1.69 fl oz Avène - Skin Recovery Cream
