Three vintage nail polishes I wanna show you!
Hello, I am showing you an old swatch of a beautiful vintage nail polish that I got last week. Versace v2077 vintage nail polish is a very sought after vintage gem. I haven’t seen many of them around, but google showed me that there has been one listed on eBay for $140. To be fair, it is unclear if the item actually sold.
Unfortunately mine is certainly not worth nearly as a new and unopened boxed Versache would be. Mine is actually slightly used store tester. Nevertheless, a great second hand find.
Versace v2077 is a black polish full of original unicorn pee pigment. It is a very old polish, I would guess from end of 99’s or early 00’s.
Compared to all my other unicorn pee polishes, this certainly has been the hardest to capture. In addition, the vibrant duo chrome effect visible in the bottle isn’t that obvious on the nail. From normal distance, it’s pretty much just a normal black polish. Furthermore, it bloody chipped the next day!
Overall this is a lovely polish, but it wasn’t as stunning as one would expect considering the hype.
Excuse the short nail swatches -I swatched this a couple of weeks ago just after cutting my nails down.
The second one is Hollywood is a red nail polish with creme finish. On the swatches I am wearing two coats with no top coat. The application of this polish was great, the finish was quite sheer, there was some visible nail line. Overall I think this red is just perfect, I don’t often wear red (especially lipstick!) but decided to pair this gorgeous polish up with a red lipstick I had sitting in my make-up bag.
I purchased another red polish over the weekend, a red glitter topper by L.A. COLORS - Color Craze Nail Polishcalled Broken Hearted. It’s a mixture of iridescent orange shreds, iridescent blue and orange tiny hex in a sheer red jelly base. Broken Hearted was easy to apply but did not smell very nice. There was enough glitter applied with only one coat. On the swatches I am wearing it under Poshe fast drying top coat. ( I purchased L.A. Colors Broken Hearted from my local Boyes for just £1 :)
Do u like it?

Easier Water Marble
I did this mani for the fourth of July, I did a normal water marble except I had the polish dry and carefully take it off the water and put them on like stickers.

A Nail Polish with Sentimental Value
Do you all have specific nail polish that you attach sentimental value to? Or is it just me?
This gorgeous shade from L.A. COLORS - Color Last Polish is called “emerald”. To me, it’s more of a metallic turquoise than an emerald. It’s got a gorgeous shiny finish that catches the light beautifully. The formula typically lasts 2-3 days without chipping, and often about 4 days with top coat. It’s opaque with 2 thin coats!!
Why does this have sentimental value to me? I wore it in Hawaii. My fiancé (very soon-to-be husband!) proposed to me at the top of Diamondhead Monument in Honolulu, HI at sunrise on our first morning there - 10/26/18. Friends and family were really hyping me up beforehand, saying they’re “positive” he was going to propose. While I wasn’t sure, I last-minute painted my nails in our hotel the night before we left and also packed the polish in my suitcase for touch-ups. I wore this color the entire time we were there. Whenever I wear it (which I am now!), I think about all the amazing memories we made on that trip. Swipe for some photos I took in different places in Hawaii 🌊

VINTAGE MAKEUP 🤎 #CheriePartner
Hey y’all!
The 90s was such an iconic time for fashion and beauty especially amongst black women. It was one of the most influential decades. I was born in ‘96 but looking back at older photos of my mom and beautiful women like Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu and Aaliyah I noticed that a lot of my fashion sense and style is very much 90s inspired. Today I chose to share a very cute 90s inspired makeup look with a cute HeadWrap to match. Now if you look at Black Women in that decade it was all about a brown lipgloss with heavy liner and smoldering eyeshadow and also very subtle face makeup. I was inspired by specifically Brandy as Moesha. She always had the prettiest brown gloss and eye look.
To get this look you’ll need:
- An eyeshadow palette with brown and tan color schemes. I used MORPHE - 35H Hot Spot Artistry Palette
COLOURPOP - Double Entendre Pressed Powder Shadow Palette
- Eyeshadow brushes. Mine are from Ulta.
ULTA BEAUTY - Eye Essentials Brush Kit
- Your favorite foundation. (Covergirl Clean Finish Skin Milk)
COVERGIRL - Clean Fresh Skin Milk Foundation
- Dark brown lip liner( L.A. Colors lip liner in Cocoa)
L.A. COLORS - L.A.COLORS Lipliner Pencil color Cocoa
- A sheer brown lipgloss (Fenty Gloss in Hot Chocolit)
FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer
STEPS
🤎 First I start with my eyeshadow! Take a dense fluffy eyeshadow brush and dip it in the color RALLY TIME from 35H Palette and pack that onto your lid. Make sure after you pack the shadow onto your lid you blend it out into the crease. Then take a clean fluffy brush to soften the edges a bit.
🤎 Next take the color KEEP IT PG from the Colourpop Palette with a small dense brush and pack it onto your lid and blend up towards your crease.
🤎 After that take that same brush and dip it into SILENT DISCO from the 35H Palette and pop it onto the middle of your lid and blend our slightly. This will give the look a soft shimmer.
🤎 Next we move on to the foundation. Take your foundation and apply it to your face and blend it with a beauty blender. If possible I suggest a semi matte foundation.
🤎 After that I take my lip liner and heavily line my lips. I follow my natural lip line.
🤎 Take your sheer lip gloss and apply it on top and slightly blend the lip liner with the lip gloss applicator to create softer edges.
And that’s all!
I love this look because it’s super simple and looks great!
My favorite product from this is definitely the LA color lip liner! Their Lip liners are super cheap and glide on so smoothly. They’re also very pigmented and cost about $1 at your local beauty supply! I use this lip liner almost daily so it’s definitely a win for me!

$1 for hydrated lips? YEP!
I have always had dry & chapped lips all year round. My fav lipsticks are matte and anyone that has dry lips know that attempting to wear a matte lipstick can turn into a total lip disaster!
I decided to do something about it:
At night I slather on my W7 sweet dreams strawberry over night lip mask. In the AM I wake up with soft kissable lips!
°During the day I periodically apply L.A. COLORS - Lip Oil in the flavor mint and guess what??.. It keeps my lips VERY SOFT & HYDRATED! No more dry, chapped, painful lips throughout the day! This lip oil can be applied under and over 💄. It's infused with vitamin E and comes in a variety of flavors. The best part... I purchased L.A. COLORS - Lip Oil at the Dollar Tree for $1. I will be going back to purchase their other flavors.
°Pros: very hydrating, vitamin E oil, only $1 at the Dollar Tree, lasts a long time, comes in a variety of flavors
°Cons: absolutely none! This stuff is super cheap and it works!

Yes L.A. colors
L.A. COLORS - Browie Wowie Brow Pencil I paid $2.49 for this pencil and I am absolutely in love. I got the shade “dark”. It works well for my medium deep skin tone. The pigment is A1. It lasts for hours. It’s very easy to use especially if you’re a beginner. And not to mention my brows look so good when I use this pencil. I definitely recommend this pencil for beginners and veterans alike. Try it you won’t be disappointed.

Definitely one of the most effective correctors I have ever tried. It helps a a lot to already have the brush applied in it makes it ready to use. It blends super good with a beauty blender and I would recommend this for any with spots black circles just color correcting
L.A. Girl-HD Pro Concealer
L.A. COLORS - Automatic Eyeliner Pencil this is the deepest darkest eyeliner I have and I got it from the dollar store. I only paid ONE dollar. I am so impressed with the formula, it’s my go to pencil. It lasts all day. This is my 3rd pencil. Again L.A Colors never fail to amaze me. Definitely a must have.

Cheap Necessities
L.A. Colors Lip Oil: I actually picked up mine at Dollar Tree for a whole $1 and it has changed my lip game forever. I get really cracked and dry lips and this has cured that for me. It has tiny sparkles in it so you can wear it as a glossy lip out and about or wear it at night as a lip mask. Either way, it’ll leave your lips super soft. I can’t find this at dollar tree anymore, but they’re still like $2-3 on the site (which is still crazy cheap).
Solimo Oil Free Facial Moisturizer: This is a great daily-use moisturizer and is made for sensitive skin. Anyone can use it though. I was on the hunt for a good moisturizer that would hydrate but not mess with my acne prone skin. This one I can use morning and night and have no issues. Once fully try there’s no sticky residue and for $5 and some change? It’s a steal. It’s in a pretty decent size pump bottle too. This is an amazon brand so order it on there.
