Hi! I have majorly prioritized my skin care since beginning of COVID. Mostly with products from FabFitFun and my esthetician. Lots of improvements, but still have large pores. Any suggestions? #TextureTuesday
☁️ I got this one in a previous @fabfitfun box 💕. It improves the hydration level of the skin, and leaves it feeling soft and smooth. It is super lightweight so I would say it targets all skin types. It also rebalances the natural sebum levels of the skin and improve the appearance of pores. They said its an ideal primer for makeup application but I did experience some piling with this cream. I don’t use this very often, only when I’m experiencing some oiliness on my skin because its super lightweight and non greasy. GROWN ALCHEMIST - Hydra-Repair Day Cream

GROWN ALCHEMIST - Get Moisturized, Not Shiny ✨
As you may know by now, I have dry skin, so I wasn’t all that excited to get the GROWN ALCHEMIST - Matte-Balancing Moisturizer in my BoxyCharm a few months back. However, after a few weeks of use, I am pleasantly surprised. Claims: Mattefying, non-greasy moisture Reduces signs of aging Removes blemishes Restores balance in skin It’s made with polyphenols from sesame seed which reduces the appearance of excess sebum which, in turn, reduces shine and restores skin’s balance. It has a lot of great ingredients like tomato, açaí berries, and aloe vera, so it’s rich in antioxidant and antibacterial properties. With claims like these, I’m sure that those with oily or combination skin would adore this product, but it’s been amazing for my skin as well! My skin feels hydrated without greasiness or buildup of any kind. The texture also feels very luxurious without feeling heavy. This is my first foray into the GROWN ALCHEMIST line, but after this experience, I’ll definitely be looking into some of their other products that may be better suited to my skin’s particular needs.

Check out- Matte moisturizer for Oily/ Acne skin
Check out this Matte moisturizer for Oily/ Acne prone skin 😍 Swipe left for result and texture close up!! 🥰 This shot is taken by me! I received this Matte balancing moisturizer from @grownalchemist in my Boxycharm box last month and I tried it!! GROWN ALCHEMIST - Matte-Balancing Moisturizer Spoiler Alert - It's Amazing!!! As the name suggests it truly goes on matte on skin while making it super hydrated and moisturized at the same time! And yes, it doesn’t leave a white cast at all! Goes on clear but matte ❤️ ✨What is it?? - A lightweight moisturizer that hydrates facial skin while balancing the skin’s oil levels, leaving skin with a matte finish and increased clarity. ✨ Ingredients call out: 🌾Açaí berries - Rich in fatty acids 🌾Omega’s 3, 6, & 9, phytosterols and Vitamin C - Rich antioxidant and anti-bacterial properties. 🌾 Poylphenols from sesame seed - Reduce the appearance of excess sebum reducing shine and restoring balance. 🌾 Tomato and Aloe vera - Abundantly rich in lycopene and polysaccharides give the skin a radiant and smooth appearance while also helping repair the appearance of skin damaged by uv induced oxidative stress. 🌾 Rice bran - Tocopherol antioxidant properties assist improving the skin appearance by reducing signs of aging and visibly removing blemishes. ✨ My experience: 🌾 It comes out as a thick, milky serum or lightweight moisturizer 🌾 Goes on skin, instantly hydrating while the occlusive Ingredients start to create a white color and emollient finish and after rubbing for few seconds it settles into completely matte, soft finish 🌾 Keeps skin moisturized for upto 12 hours, my skin is getting dry these days with this it stayed hydrated and smooth the entire day 🌾 Helps a little bit with active breakouts due to Rice bran's Tocopherol Anti-oxidant properties 🌾 Reduces redness and Check this Matte moisturizer for Oily/ Acne prone skin 😍 🌾 Works perfectly find under makeup 🌾 My T - zone area produces less oil when I apply this The only con or downside of this product is it's hefty price. It's 69$ for 2 fl.oz which is a little on pricey side for me but the way it performs on skin is what makes it worth that price! I haven't found any moisturizer that goes on completely matte for my oily, acne prone skin. Generally I prefer matte finishes as they tend not to highlight pimples and raised bumps or scars. This works perfect for that. Do I think it's worth 69$? Yes because of the finish and Ingredients. Would you like to try this??

This week I have been loving the grownalchemist Hydra Restore Cream Cleanser. I use this as my second cleanse when I need more moisture or a morning h cleanse when I feel like cleansing my face. It has the nicest scent and it leaves my face nice and cleansed. The fresh Black Tea Overnight Firming Mask. This is the most lovely hydrating Mask! When I use this as my last step, in the morning my skin is plump and hydrated. gotoskincare Very useful Face cream has been great, it’s a no fuss moisturising cream. It’s been a nice last step in my routine this week and I can’t wait to see how it holds up in the winter, it’s also an amazing size at 100ml! anastasiabeverlyhills is now available at meccamaxima, I have been a fan of their dipbrow and palettes for a while now. I pick up the dipbrow gel and it adds volume and pigment to my brows, so when I want something a little more intense than boy brow I pick this.

Some faves from Grown Alchemist// ▪️Age-Repair Eye Cream ▪️Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser ▪️Hydra Repair Day Cream ▪️Polishing Facial Exfoliant ▪️Matte-Balancing Moisturizer ... This gorgeous brand focuses on creating botanical skincare that is clean, green and functional. All the products I have tried have a pleasant herbal smell. (No overpowering floral)... The Hydra-Restore Cream Cleanser left my face feeling moisturized and fresh. However, it did not take off my mascara as promised. For me, it works better as a second cleanse... The eye-cream was definitely my favorite! Maybe I like it even better than Drunk Elephant’s ctango 😬they serve different purposes so thankfully I will continue to use both and create my own “eye cream smoothie”. Grown Alchemist’s eye cream is definitely worth a try!

Showdown of Hand Creams from Australasia
As we embark on a routine to wash our hands more than ever, hand creams have become an even more important part of our beauty/ self-care routine. While I am temporarily saying “bye” to my manicurist to stay at home more, it is still possible to still have pretty and well-groomed hands if they look well-trimmed and moisturized. Tip: I am a full-time freelance writer and am at the computer a lot. I always keep a hand cream in my bathroom so that I can slather hand cream on my hands right after washing  and one next to me at my work desk.  It is a coincidence that I am currently switching between two hand cream brands both from Australasia – Grown Alchemist from Australia and Ashley and Co. from New Zealand.Ø  Grown Alchemist Hand Cream – Vanilla and Orange Peel– 2.2 oz.With camellia seed oil being its main ingredient, you can be sure that this hand cream is a quality one to have in the bag at any season. Valued for its nourishing and hydrating qualities, the silky camellia seed oil has been used cosmetically for centuries. The cream also consists of rosehip oil and wheat germ to protect from environmental elements. The smell is addictive and the consistency is very moisturizing without being too greasy on my hands. I usually spread the cream on my hands as well as directly on my dry cuticles and elbows. The refreshing fragrance of orange peel and vanilla lingers but do not overpower. USD24 on Grown Alchemist Ø  Ashley and Co Soothe Tube – Parakeets & Pearls– 2.2 oz.It was love at first rub with Ashley and Co. The rich “soothe tube” immediately heals my parched hands but still leave my hands relatively non-greasy for everyday work. A little goes a long way for this brand. I couldn’t stop sniffing my richly fragranced hands, thanks to the exotic scent notes of cardamon, green tea, lime, orange rind and water lily. The best part? The cream is ECOCERT-approved for using 100% natural perfume. I also love the enriching and nourishing mix of shea butter, camomile extract and vitamin E. I could visible see the lines on my hands reduce after a few times of use. USD24.95 on Ashley and Co

Grown Alchemist Hand Cream
GROWN ALCHEMIST - GROWN ALCHEMIST Hand Cream I have to say, this has been an amazing product for this winter time. It has helped me to prevent my hands from being dry and I LOVE the scent! I thought it would be a little annoying because of the consistency, but it feels amazing on my hands. Great winter product!

Aesop VS Grown Alchemist
Aesop VS Grown Alchemist
Let’s start with Aesop on the left first. The Aesop purifying facial exfoliant paste was what I thought the best physical exfoliant... until, yup, Grown Alchemist Polishing facial exfoliate, pink grapefruit glucomannan extract. It’s just fantastic. But I will add consistency, smell, performance and my pros and cons on each to let you decide. Aesop - Purifying Facial Exfoliant Paste It’s pricey but it is a well formulated, all natural, green, clean and earth conscious made product. None of the icky stuff. Consistency: It is a drier paste compared to GA. It is a heavier paste which is strange for me and you will know why in the GA part. The grains are fine quartz which are really tiny and but quite grainy, not in a bad walnuty way anyways (I see you Kylie lol). Spreads fairly easily and even though it’s heavier as mentioned before it comes out quite liquidy. I know it doesn’t make sense but it will soon. Smell: The smell is pretty oceanic, almost like standing on a pier but slightly fishy and herbal, which I like and don’t ask me why. Performance: Feels good on the skin, I would not recommend it for sensitive skins but anything else would be fine. The fine quartz does take dead skin cells off but it you can miss some spots with it being a paste; Just make sure you spread it well and evenly. ➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖VS➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖➖ GROWN ALCHEMIST - Polishing Facial Exfoliant Consistency: It’s like a fluffy paste. This is why I say the Aesop one is more thick as this one is thicker when you see it coming out of the tube and start rubbing it on your face but it quickly changes into a light, airy, almost mousse like feeling and it even disappears into your skin whereas the Aesop one doesn’t, it actually spreads quite a lot. The GA is more gentle since the paste is more mousse/creamy like. Smell: definitely fresh, like duh, it has grapefruit Jen, 😂! It’s a great “wake me up” or “I wanna be + feel super clean and fresh” type of product. Also a very herbal, again, one word: frrresshhhh. Performance: This product is way gentler and has tiny particles that manually exfoliate. It is recommended for all skin types even neck and chest and I AGREE. This product like the Aesop one, also contains Lactic Acid, which is a chemical exfoliant if you’re wondering as this is one of the ingredients that draw me to the Aesop exfoliant. Looking at the ingredients list I saw that the first ingredient is Aloe vera plant extract, which I assume is what makes it more hydrating and gives it that softness. This also contains Glucomannan (Konjac root), which has brightening effects and it’s very popular in Asia. And yes it does remove my dead skin cells and brightens as well. Overall: Both products are good and do exactly what they say they will do but I prefer GA as it is a tad more hydrating, has a lot of beneficial ingredients and it can be used as a mask as well, not to mention the beautiful natural energetic smell

This botanical beauty is literally a lifesaver and perfect for a dehydrated skin (me) 💕. It’s silky and smooth texture also works as a primer for makeup application. I got to try this product in my @fabfitfun box last year and fell in love with it. Great exfoliant
Great exfoliant
I love this product! It has lasted me a long time but you want to use it sparingly because it can be a little harsh. I’d say 1-2 times a week is best. I want to start moving towards chemical peels in regards to exfoliating but as far as traditional exfoliants go - this has been my favorite that I’ve used so far 😊
