How gorgeous are these palettes from zoevacosmetics? It’s been awhile since I’ve added any  eyeshadow palettes to my collection and I’ve been obsessing over these since they arrived. Zoeva’s Caramel Melange palette has six matte shades and four metallics. Every shade is intensely pigmented, buttery and blendable. I love the mix of neutral, everyday shades and bright pops of color (like “aftertaste” & “edible gem”, which is a matte plum with beautiful gold flecks). It’s so easy to create a simple, daytime look or go full glam with one palette. The Cocoa Blend Voyager palette is the perfect traveling companion, with three warm neutrals and three metallic shades. I’ve been using this little baby just about every morning since it was delivered. Aside from the beautiful formula and perfect shade selection, Zoeva’s products are super affordable. I’m so impressed by the quality of their shadows.

I’ve always wanted to play with brushes from Zoeva. I’ve have their Strobe Gel in Halo & Corona which I already love. So I was super excited to get to play with some brushes & an eyeshadow palette as I’ve always been super curious . The eyeshadow palette Caramel Melange is a warm group with caramels and golden toffee tones. The texture is nice. Finely milled, pigmented and it applies pretty evenly. Even the mattes were pretty smooth which is not always the case (they’re not chalky and dry). The tones are a little too golden and warm for me. I’m a true neutral palette girl. I can’t do very warm shades. I have my eye on the taupe and nude palettes for the future . The brushes are by far the star of the line. I got several from the Rose Golden line. They are a natural-synthetic blend listed as being best with powders. I do use synthetic and natural hair (as long as it’s not squirrel) for creams and liquids as well even though it’s not always advised. These ones are so soft. For a synthetic blend they’re exquisite. The Buffer brush makes the best foundation brush. No streaks at all. I need more of these stat. Especially the two larger shader brushes. I love how affordable these brushes are. Really impressed by them In the swatch photos—Bottom row left to right then Corona Strobe Gel, Top row left to right then Halo Strobe Gel

⚠️CREASING UNDER EYE CONCEALER? I GOT YOU 😉 🔆
I have the perfect dark circle covering and no under eye concealer creasing combination just for you! The key to avoid cracking and creasing under your eyes is hydration, minimal make up and setting. 1. Priming your under eye with under eye primer of course! Using small amounts, massage gently to your under eyes! I use Marc Jacobs coconut primer as it is light weight and hydrating. MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Under(Cover) Perfecting Coconut Eye Primer 2. Using a small amount of peach coloured concealer, dab gently with a wet beauty blender. I use Jeffrey star Magic star in the colour Peach. It’s creamy and easy to blend into the skin JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS - Magic Star Concealer 3. Using a lighter coloured concealer, dab gently with a wet beauty blender. I use It Cosmetics Bye Bye under eye. It’s formula is heavenly! Small amounts go a really long way and it doesn’t crease! it Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye Full Coverage Anti-Aging Waterproof Concealer 4. Using a brush dab a small amount of translucent powder under your eyes very gently. Avoid stroking or buffing it in. ZOEVA - 227V Soft Definer Vegan Brush You can never go wrong with this setting powder. laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder 5. Finally, don’t forget to set your make up in place with a hydrating setting spray! I use the Too faced hangover setting spray as it is infused with coconut water for extra hydration! Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara: worth it? 🤯
I absolutely love Chanel beauty – I think the packaging is gorgeous and the products (mostly) perform really well. I’m a huge fan of Chanel’s highlighters and bronzers, but have always felt a bit so-so with their eye products; so would their Inimitable Intense Mascara be worth the hefty price tag? Could it compete with my old faithful – the Zoeva Graphic Lash Mascara, which was over 50% less cost? I should start by saying I absolutely love the Zoeva Graphic Lash, partly because it’s a super thick formula that some reviewers have found a bit too chunky. I’ve got really thin, skinny lashes, so the thicker formula coats them really well and gives the illusion they’re long and luscious – all for a pretty affordable price-point. The Chanel Inimitable Intense Mascara is meant to volumize, lengthen, curl and separate your lashes – more than just the adding-thickness claim of Graphic Lash. Both mascaras have similar wand sizes and shapes, but the Chanel mascara didn’t seem to coat the lashes as well as my Zoeva go-to; the formula also seemed a bit thin and insipid, needing several coats to make any sort of difference to my lashes. I also noticed that throughout the day the Chanel mascara seemed to fade away: I was reapplying more than I’d have liked, even on my bottom lashes which tend to hold product well. I rarely need to reapply with Zoeva! Would I say Chanel lives up to the claims of lengthen, volumize, curl and separate? To be totally honest, no: I think the drugstore alternative wins here. My lashes didn’t look noticeably longer, thicken or curlier with the Chanel formula, and I find myself reaching for cheaper, higher-performing products instead of this pricey option. Sorry, Chanel!

▪️Kristin Ess Scalp Line—Micel
▪️Kristin Ess Scalp Line—Micellar Shampoo & Daily Scalp + Hair Mask. I’m excited to try a line of more affordable scalp care products. So far I find her stuff just as good as luxury lines ▪️MDNA The Finishing Cream A thick but surprisingly light cream with squalane, olive & orange oil, crushed pearls and MDNA exclusive Holy Water (thermal water from Montecatini, Italy). It’s has a nice pearl like tint to it for radiance. I only tried it once so more to come ▪️Zoeva Rose Golden brushes I only pictured one but I’m testing several. They are exactly what I figured—Amazing ▪️Cle de Peau Radiant Cushion foundation O30. I’m so addicted to cushions right now. This one is the perfect shade for me. I love the Radiant Fluid & Stick foundations so I have good hopes for this one ▪️Beauty Pie Triple Hyaluronic HA & Peptide Serum. Such a great texture. I’ve only just begun with it so more to come

APRIL 2020 BOXYCHARM!
APRIL 2020 BOXYCHARM!
ICONIC - Illuminator Liquid Highlight ✨|| I’ve been curious about this product for a whileeee but that $41 price tag kept me from getting it so I’m excited I got it in my Boxycharm this month!! It’s a beautiful bronze-y gold color and it feels nice, not sticky or tacky which is great because it won’t ruin my make up underneath if I try to use it to high light. I only gave it 4 stars because I still have to try it out but on first impression it looks like an amazinggg liquid highlight! benefit - The POREfessional: Hydrate Primer 💧|| Really happy benefit came out with this because I loved the original porefessional but it was just too matte/drying for my skin. It retails for $32 and you get 0.75 to oz. Based of the swatch alone it does feel more hydrating than the original. Will be testing this out under my foundation stay tuned! BATTINGTON - Harlow 3D Silk Lash 🖤|| I’ve never heard of this brand before but the packaging is sooo cute!! Plus it came with a mini lash glue. This particular style of lash is more on the natural wispy side, perfect for everyday or natural glam. They retail at $31 so I cant wait to try these out and see if they’re worth it! LAVISH - 5 PC NEON EYE BRUSH COLLECTION 💚|| Another brand I’ve never heard of but the brushes feel sooo soft and of great quality!! This set retails for $29.99 and it’s like the perfect set for a beginner who’s new to make up because it has all the essentials. The neon vibe is soo cute and it’s cruelty free!! ZOEVA - Opulence Eyeshadow Palette 💐|| I love Zoeva for their brushes and I was excited to get a chance to try this eyeshadow palette but unfortunately it fell flat. There are a few beautiful shimmery shades like the copper and blue but overall I feel like I have other amazing quality palettes that can do the job of this one. It has one matte shade in the whole palette and it’s soo chalky!! The packaging is gorgeous and 10 shadows for $28 is amazing but I feel like the quality could definitely be better.

Zoeva Petit Stippling Brush
Zoeva Petit Stippling Brush
#ZOEVA - #122 Petit Stippling Rose Golden Vol. 2 Brush[products]#[FiveStars] Normally I’m not a brush person, I use 100% cream products: cream blush, cream highlight, when I choose to do bronzer it’s a cream, and I apply with either my fingers or a beauty blender. Lately though I haven’t been getting the blush application that I like with those options, it always ends up being too far down my face and I get a giant blob of blush. I got this brush with my points at ulta and I love it. It’s just small enough where I can get a precise application and it’s super soft and nice. Blends out blush perfectly! I will still be using my fingers for highlight and I have yet to use this with bronzer but I really bought this for the blush.

The color of this wooden table
The color of this wooden table in my Airbnb complimented the Caramel Melange palette from zoeva cosmetics really nicely 😅 this is all the makeup I’ve been wearing. Eyeshadow not everyday, but usually when I go out at night I play around with them! I’ve also stopped using mascara since it makes my lashes too long for my glasses. I’m focusing more on having my lashes curl upwards instead of making them longer. The ohiibeauty wake up pen is still going strong in my makeup routine. Especially love it over the Eve lom Radiance Antioxidant Eye Cream. I decided to bring the Charlotte Tilbury blush in Love Glow instead of Pillow Talk because I think the color is more fitting for warmer weather. Pillow Talk is my favorite for winter because it gives me a more bronzed look. And as always, the CC Cream from supergoop gets an A+ 💫 -Dax
