ACURE vs. HERBIVORE - Blue Tansy Oil
First, What is Blue Tansy? Blue tansy is an essential oil that comes from distilling the flower and stem of the blue tansy plant. Through the distillation process one of the chemical components of the oil, chamazulene, is released. When heated, chamazulene turns deep blue, indigo-to-cerulean hue. Due to growing popularity in recent years, it was almost harvested out of existence and therefore is one of the more expensive oils to purchase. Why is it so popular? It is known for its calming effects and heal irritated skin. According to the American Chemical Society notes that chamazulene, the chemical that brings out the blue color in the oil, is also an anti-inflammatory agent. Along with Sabinene and Camphor, two primary components of blue tansy oil, that are effective anti-inflammatory agents; healing wounds, repair damaged skin and can also be an anti-wrinkle agent. In a Healthline.com article I read that some radiologist would use blue tansy spritzer ( 4ml of BT to 4 ounces of water in a glass bottle) to treat patients that has skin burns that can sometimes develop from radiation treatments for cancer. ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil I think I might have found a dupe for HERBIVORE - Lapis Blue Tansy Face Oil For Oily & Acne-Prone Skin Two main common Ingredients: Blue Tansy—provides antioxidants and soothes/ calms sensitivities, and Kukui Oil—fends off free radicals, balances serums, provides hydration and nourishment. Just use nightly, a couple of drops on cleanse skin (after your toner, essence, serums, and other treatments). Massage in as (recommended on the packaging) in place of your facial moisturizer. On ULTA it says to apply it after your moisturizer. I’ve used it both ways and enjoy them both. The Herbivore Lapis does have more moisturizing ingredients like plant based squalane, jojoba and vitamin E but if you’re in pinch and can’t spare the $72 (+tax) for. 50ml bottle at Sephora, I think this a pretty great dupe! It’s $12 (+tax) for 30ml. Both products are Clean product: 🌱No Parabens 🌱No Alcohol 🌱No Sulfates 🌱No Petroleum Based Oils 🌱No Silicones 🐰Cruelty Free 🐰 Vegan Please let me know if you have tried this oil, and/or your favorite Acure products below. I would love to learn more about this brand! Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful
AM, PM, Occasional, and New Products!
I’ve been simplifying my day to day routines and working in “specialty” products on occasion, to save time and money. AM (Alllll about quick and easy!) Andalou Apricot Cleansing Milk Cerave PM Moisturizer Nivea Super Watery Gel SPF PM Cerave Hydrating Cleanser (or Andalou if I want more richness) EB5 Anti Aging Toner Curology (clindamyacin 1%, tretinoin .04%, azelaic acid 7%) Hadalabo Hyalruronic Acid Illiyoon Ceramide Moisturizer Acure Blue Tansy Oil Rotating Products Makeup Removal: Farmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm (I know some of you swear by the double cleanse, but it’s typically too irritating for me daily) Exfoliating (in place of EB5): Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant, Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Ultra Gentle Peel (great when I feel a breakout coming on), Alpha H Liquid Gold (for when I’m feeling super lazy—I cleanse, use this, and slap on a thick moisturizer...that’s it!) Laneige Water Sleeping Mask: Great top coat to seal in extra moisture Cicaplast Baume 5: Also a great top coat, more occlusive and I love when I’m feeling super dry Acne Spot Treatment: Kate Somerville EradiKate reduces size and redness overnight. Tends to pull off the whiteheads and cause bleeding & thus scarring when removed the next morning, so use with caution Holy Grail: Naturopathica Alpine Rose Recovery Serum. This is a 7-day treatment serum that reduces redness, plumps you up, and helps bump up the glow. For use 3-4 times a year at most, so would be great to use if you have an event you want to look extra glowy for. (Who goes anywhere nowadays? I can dream...) altered PM routine for sensitive & dry skin
The temperatures dropped below 70 this weekend and my sensitive, dry skin started freaking out! So I revamped my routine to cater to my skin’s reaction to the cooler weather. My skin has been responding really well to the changes so far. More smoothness and less flakiness for sure! ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane we’re already part of my routine and then I subbed in DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil which is a great first cleanser but also kind of smells like olive oil... I’m also using BANILA CO - Dear Hydration Toner which is new my routine. I was previously using THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner which I tried due to all the hype but I’m also concerned that it’s an astringent that adding to my dry skin problem. I’m no the only one whose skin becomes drier in colder weather right?! Have you used any of these products before? What do you think about them?

Who doesn’t want bright, glowy skin? Am I right? This is my other favorite cleanser, aside from clarisma and herbivore- see my other post. This has a great grip to it- it really sticks to the skin and does its work. It easily melts and liquifies my makeup and rinses clean, leaving my skin feeling fresh and smooth. There’s nothing worse than a runny cleanser that goes down the drain before it does its job! This brightening cleanserACURE - Brightening Cleansing Gel lives up to its name. I’ve been using it for a couple of years and continue to buy it for many reasons: It’s affordable clean beauty with a great reputation and long history in the industry The ingredients are effective and natural The consistency rocks! It has great grip on the skin and rinses easily It does what it says! My skin is in fact brighter overall with consistent use The ingredients that bring the brightening Pomegranate, blackberry, açaí, orange, lemon Supporting ingredients to help calm the skin Sea buckthorn, rose, chamomile, roobois, chlorella Yes! That’s a whole lot of natural and organic love for the great price point of $9-$10 for 4 fl oz Hope you give it a try!
Best scrub y’all
I’ve been using the Acure brightening scrub for about a year now and it’s definitely become my favorite exfoliating scrub. I use it about 2-3 times a week. Since I don’t do makeup on the daily I will also use this scrub if I’m going to do a full face of makeup so I have nice smooth skin to work with! It’s worked wonders for me in softening and brightening my skin up and getting rid of all the dead skin as well. Another great thing about this scrub is that it cleanses without stripping away any natural moisture! It’s 100% vegan! Price point is amazing! Def give it a go ;) Another great product from Acure is the brightening cleansing gel. This cleanser is gentle enough that it can be used daily. I remember using this for the first time and saw an instant glow on my face. It’s also great for getting rid of all your makeup!

Drunk with best elephant oil
#marulamonday .... must tell you that #marulaoil is one my favorite products... I thank #drunkelephant to introducing me to it. I do find the #acurebeauty one a good one too. Though this one will always be my favorite . I also like dropper bottle better than @acurebeauty bottle. .So want best marula go with DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil If don’t break bank go with ACURE - The Essentials Marula Oil
Marula Vs marula?
Marula oil is a wonderful skincare ingredient. It’s rich in protein and fatty acids. It’s light and easily absorbed into the skin. It’s gentle, non irritating, and moisturizing. What makes one better than the other? DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil Marula oil claims to claims to “harvest” it differently than other products. They cold press the Marula fruit using a patented non heated water extraction to ensure the nutrients stay dense and last longer. The oil is nice, it is hydrating, very smooth and for me it hasn’t been comedogenic. The price is $40 for 15ml ACURE - The Essentials Marula Oil is also a 100% Marula oil. They don’t make the claims that DE does about the way they press it but it seems comparable to me. Lightweight, hydrating, soothing and non comedogenic I’m a big fan of this oil. $15.99 for 30 ml Overall if you blind tested me and didn’t tell me which oil was which I would be oblivious. They’re both really nice and in cases like that when I don’t notice an obvious difference in quality of product I always go for the less expensive one! There’s really no reason to spend more than twice as much for half the product. So in this product debate Acure wins!
Easy at home pedicures! 🌼
🌻 I have not been to a nail spa since the start of this pandemic, but this has helped me save a ton of money by simply learning to do my own nails including my pedicures. 1. I start usually in the shower by using my EARTH THERAPEUTICS - Precisso Plus Pedicure File to get rid of any dead skin on my heels. I love this foot file; it’s double sided with one side using a course-textured surface to get rid of stubborn dead skin, while the side with a finer surface is used to smooth your skin. An added bonus is that is has a mini removable file located in the handle itself. It typically use this for more precise work. Highly recommend for at home spa work 🧖🏻♀️ 2. I then go in with my JAPONESQUE - Velvet Touch Manicure Nipper to clip my nails and then an emery board to file and shape them. This guy is heavy heavy duty and super sharp so be very careful if you’re a beginner. I prefer using a nipper vs a traditional clipper because it can easily clip through thicker nail beds. This also has smooth rubber handle which makes gripping a lot easier on my hands 🙌🏽 3. To clean under the nails, I use a point tip tweezer such as the JAPONESQUE - Pro Performance Tweezer Duo to remove any gunk lol 🤢 if you do have an ingrown nail remover, that will definitely work better 😆 but this tweezer is the perfect size and it comes in a pack of two so I can use one for facial hair removal and the other for my nails 💅🏽 4. I use a lotion like ACURE - Seriously Soothing 24hr Moisture Lotion to soften my skin after I’ve done everything else. This lotion is uh-mazing! I bought it for my eczema but I use it in my entire body because it leaves my skin feeling extra soft. 🧴 ⭐️ This is by no means comparable to professional pedi (which I miss terribly) but it’s enough to keep my nails clean, cut and tidy. Have you mastered the at home mani/pedi yet? #CheriePartner **my mom took my foot file and haven’t been able to use it since lol I’ll be purchasing another one from ULTA
We could all use a little soothing right now! One of the ways that I’m finding solace (for my skin at least) is the Acure Beauty Seriously Soothing 24hr Moisture Lotion. This award-winning body lotion is packed with Cocoa Butter, Colloidal Oatmeal and deeply moisturizing Aloe to protect and soothe. clinically shown to provide moisture for 24hrs when used as directed. to protect & soothe and is unscented (for all you sensitive folks). It’s also 100% Vegan, Paraben free, Sulfate free, Mineral oil free, Petrolatum free, Formaldehyde free, and Cruelty free. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Seriously Soothing 24hr Moisture Lotion has been clinically shown to provide moisture for 24hrs, significantly improving barrier function, and I couldn’t agree more! This is a rich cream that is quite thick but absorbs nicely (I love it on damp skin right tout of the shower) while leaving a barely noticeable (not sticky or tacky) layer of protective hydration. With many lotions my skin is dry and tight within hours of application but this one truly locks in hydration and you can feel the difference for the entire day and beyond. At $11.99 for 8oz this lotion is budget-friendly and readily accessible at a variety of online retailers and in-stores. If you live in a dry climate or experience dry, itchy skin and need a rich body cream that doesn’t eave you feeling greasy or sticky, then I highly recommend checking out the Seriously Soothing 24hr Moisture Lotion from Acure Beauty! Luxury skincare products worth it or not
#cheriepartner I’m going to be talking about luxury skin care products that are worth the hype So tart is a good brand they have really good stuff don’t get me wrong I love them but I wasn’t expecting “your a total knock out skin care would no be the best. I have pretty sensitive skin and dry skin so I was using this last winter witch was probably not the best but I was using the tingling treatment and it was good at first, the first few weeks of using the treatment and the cream was nice it smelt like lemon and it made my skin tone bright but I could feel the chemicals burning me skin. So I stopped using it right after I felt like the more I use it the more it’s going to irritate my skin and I wanted to find a good brightening facial toner or scrub. So acure is a good brand I see the hype on Cherie and everywhere so I saw target had some and I’ve always wanted to try it and it was $10 pretty food for this brand so I tried it and it was amazing it’s great for all skin types it’s 100% vegan and all natural so no harsh anything. My skin feels bright and alive I had no dryness afterwards The benefits of this product ACURE - Brightening Face Mask my skin looks so dewy after using :) Details ''Seas'' the day with ACURE's Brightening Facial Scrub, which contains natural exfoliation from the ocean. Sea kelp super-nutrients soften and detoxify, while lemon peel and French green clay cleanse without stripping away natural moisture. Madonna lily brings the brightness to round out this refreshing facial scrub. Key Ingredients: French Green Clay - draws out impurities Chlorella - supports skin's building blocks and rejuvenates Lemon Peel - gently removes dead skin cells and brightens Sage - clarifies skin Blackberry - infuses antioxidants Benefits: 100% Vegan Cruelty-free Formulated without parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, petrolatum, or formaldehyde How to Use Apply to a wet face and scrub gently with your fingertips. Rinse thoroughly. Use 3 times a week for glowing results. Next I got the pimple treatment and this stuff works awesome. It treats my pimple right away and goes down within the next day or 2 and no marks left behind So I love using both I’m so happy about these finds. ACURE - Incredibly Clear Acne Spot So you can still find the best products for a bargain deal I feel like this gave me better results then your total knockout by tart. But of course there is nothing wrong with buying luxury skin care products they either work or they don’t work and that’s why I’m nervous on getting something expensive and it won’t work , it’s just great to try anything out that does help your skin and I love all natural products I feel like that works best with sensitive skin ☺️ Let me know if you guys have any questions I hope you enjoy this post and this is helpful information
Weird texture, but effective
Acure Acne Spot Treatment. (Salicylic acid 1.5%): I received this spot treatment from Acure to test out, and I have mixed feelings about it generally. I think it’s a pretty effective spot treatment given that it has 1.5% salicylic acid, which is a really effective ingredient to reduce the size of big pimples, but it has a really weird texture and the packaging isn’t my favorite. It’s really hard for me to squeeze out the perfect amount of product since it’s a squeeze tube, and I find that it spills over and gets sticky inside the cap. Also, about 10-15 minutes after I apply it, it almost peels/rubs off, which I don’t like either. Overall, if I had dedicated time to apply it and then remove it before I went to bed, I would use it more often, but I don’t think this is a worthwhile spot treatment.

My Current Skincare Routine!
Howdy everybody! I’m Carl, and this is my current skincare routine. Some of these products I’ve bought myself, others are gifts (like the SkinActive Soothing Kit by Garnier). Some products are kinda old, like the Neutrogena - Alcohol Free Toner . Only so much of it is left, and though I liked it and it worked well I’m going to be using the HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Tonersoon! My newest product is the ACURE - Brightening Super Greens Serum which I adore right now! I’m hoping to use the GLOBAL BEAUTY CARE - Cucumber Hydrogel Face Masksome time soon. All in all these products have been very helpful and I recommend them (especially the GARNIER - SkinActive Soothing 3-in-1 Face Moisturizer with Rose Water ) to any of you who have dry skin and need that extra moisture every day! Hopefully by the end of quarantine (whenever that is) my skin will be amazing! 🥰
I’ve been loving ACURE - Brightening Super Greens Serum because it is a really great product to brighten the complexion and fight acne. It is an oilier serum so I tend to mix it into my moisturizer or use it as my daytime moisturizer underneath SPF. It doesn’t pill or affect any other product that’s layered with it which is something I always worry about. I 100% recommend this product to anyone who struggles with mild acne or redness. It’s $18.99 which is a bit much for a drugstore product but they often have it at Marshall’s. All in all, I think it’s worth it!!

I love everything about this from the texture to how it makes my skin feel. It’s a powerhouse and affordable! Sunday Riley Tidal Cream- I enjoy this cream. It’s supposed to hydrate and help fade dark spots. I haven’t reached for it enough to share my thoughts. ▫️ Rosen Tingling Mud Mask- I don’t generally have acne prone skin but I love the tingle of this mask and would recommend Rosen for anyone who is trying to find products to help clear breakouts and keep them at bay. Complex Beauty Pout Protector Lip Mask- This is a thicker lip oil that I like to spread on my lips before bed. I have been applying a balm on top to really lock in the mask. I live the vanilla tones!

Tonight’s routine 😴
Hello everyone! I recently decided to upgrade my skincare routine from very basic (just cleansing and moisturizer most days) to something more intentional. My skin fluctuates between dry and combination (definitely very dry in the winter), I struggle with large pores, blackheads, acne prone (although my acne has improved greatly over the past few years, yay!) Here’s tonight’s routine, some staples and a couple newbies: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I have been using this cleanser for years with no complaints Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating TreatmentI received this sample in my IPSY bag and used it tonight in the shower, seems nice so far! I use TO lactic acid most nights but try to do a more intense exfoliator 1-2x per week THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist Another longtime staple The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA I use this most nights and mornings for 1. To help with dark spots and scarring and 2. For the added HA which is a nice moisture boost ACURE - Ultra Hydrating Eye Cream This eye cream is newish to me but I am liking it so far Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 30 My go to moisturizer for nights, sometimes daytime too if my skin is feeling dry ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night OilTrying this out tonight for some soothing after exfoliation
