🔍 Physical Exfoliation: Cancelled?
💎 Isn’t Physical Exfoliation Bad for You? No, but like many things, physical exfoliation gets a bad reputation very often due to the misuse of products or the poor formulation of some others (the infamous St. Ives 💀) How to Use Physical Exfoliants Effectively/Gently: ⭐️Many people do not evenly distribute the facial scrub, and fail to even distribute the product across the entirety of their face, thus leading to ineffective exfoliation in some areas of the face (e.g. the sides of the nose and forehead) ⭐️Many People do not Emulsify (add water) the product on their face, and/or apply onto already damp skin; thus contributing to the possibility of over exfoliation and irritation, but most (if not all) physical exfoliants recommend emulsifying the product ⭐️Many people run to darn HARSHLY. Your skin is yours forever, treat yourself with care, you deserve it (no excuses!)🤍 ⭐️ Not all physical exfoliants are created equal. After trying the St. Ives Apricot Scrub, don’t assume all scrubs are formulated the same way! ** if you have interest or preference for physical exfoliation over chemical, then power to you, don’t feel ashamed because the trend is in favor is chemical exfoliation. Both are valid 🤍 💎 Review: BRUJITA - Purple Reina Facial Scrub 💜the brand has no added fragrance, the scents I detect come directly from the use of several natural ingredients, making this product is the antithesis of irritating. This provides delicate and thorough exfoliation, even for mature skin. It’s formulated with wonderful smoothing and creamy texture, using fruit seeds This, again, is one that emulsifies beautifully and a little goes a long way. 💜Brujita Skincare is a small business created by a Latina Esthetician and her products are incredibly innovative, and they use scientifically backed ingredients to give you the biggest bang for your buck. I will keep supporting them as long as they continue to make great simple products. 💜The Purple Reina Facial Scrub is featured here to discuss physical exfoliants, because I really think that exfoliation can go so wrong and misunderstood so easily. Many people don’t want to deal with AHA BHA or PHA percentages and stinging (oh so much stinging!), so physical exfoliation is the simple go-to formulation for exfoliation. Wonderful physical exfoliants to consider: ACURE - Brightening Facial Scrub BRUJITA - Santa Limpia Facial Scrub teamí - Green Tea Facial Scrub dermalogica - Daily Microfoliant Exfoliator GOOD MOLECULES - Pineapple Exfoliating Powder ** if you have anything to add or more Exfoliants to recommend please mention them in the comments, thank you 🖤

Are Essential Oils SAFE for your skin?
Essential oils have become very popular not only in the health and wellness world, but also in beauty and skincare. Extracting oils involves harvesting various plants, then taking them through a process of distillation or cold pressing. We use these oils for the natural, uplifting or calming benefits they give us through aromatherapy. It turns out that it may also have positive effects when applied topically, not just through inhalation. ☆How essential oils are used in skincare- When it comes to any essential oil, they absolutely must be diluted before being touched to the skin. The pure form is entirely too strong! Popular ways of dilution include using jojoba oil, almond oil, sunflower oil, or coconut oil. If you are mixing pure essential oils at home, be sure to follow guidelines to ensure no burning or irriation occurs to the skin. Many skincare products include essential oils in the formula, which are already properly diluted and can be used straight on the face. Common essential oils all have various effects to the skin including antibacterial, anti inflammatory, balancing/controlling oil production and increasing hydration. ☆Why you need to be careful Many people with sensitive skin may be hesitant to use products that contain essential oils in their routine. Because of how strong they can be (and the fragrance), it can definitely exacerbate irritation depending on the formulation. Certain oils are also more prone to causing sensitivity than others, like lemon or peppermint. If you have issues with fragrance, then I would avoid essential oils in your routine. However, for sensitive skin, you can try incorporating lavender or frankincense for their calming properties. ☆My favorites There are so many benefits to essential oils that should be recognized as well! Blue tansy is one of my favorites for antioxidant and anti inflammatory properties. It is also widely known to improve breakouts and acne prone skin. ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil I also enjoy incorporating jasmine essential oil because of its calming scent, deep hydration, and how it improves elasticity. HERBIVORE - Jasmine Glowing Hydration Body Oil •I recently worked at an Aveda Spa, performing ayurvedic facial treatments. The facial skincare line incorporates many essential oils into the take home products as well as the professional only line. An important step to all Aveda facials was incorporating the aromatherapy ritual, which allows a few drops of an essential oil blend to be mixed with a carrier oil to be used on the skin throughout the facial. There were different lines for all skin types and conditions, which worked to improve the skin while healing the mind and soul through aromatherapy. I learned through this how beneficial essential oils can be for so many people! *exercise caution when trying any fragrant essential oil in your routine, and be sure to speak with a medical professional if you are pregnant.*

YOUR ROUTINE MIGHT NEED THIS 🤔⁉️
If you have oily/combo skin it's very likely that you stray away from facial oils. I completely get that, why would adding extra oil keep oiliness away? It seems strange but I promise you: You don't need to be afraid of facial oils! Let's talk general benefits... Wrinkle Reduction: most facial oils are formulated with antioxidants that can prevent signs of aging Revive Dry Skin: they can be more effective than traditional lotions and creams Skin Protectant: they will penetrate deeply to keep water & other hydration trapped in and free radicals out; strengthen the natural skin barrier Makeup Primer: using an oil as a primer can smooth, hydrate, and plump the skin for a perfect base Soothing: anti-inflammatory benefits can work to banish blemishes & oils that cause them! (i.e. tea tree oil — diluted or skin safe please check this before purchasing! — is a great spot treatment for pesky breakouts) All of these are amazing benefits and just because you have combination or oily skin that doesn't mean that you don't get to enjoy them! Let's talk about how facial oils & oily skin work together... Overactive oil production by no means equates to being moisturized correctly! I am guilty of this, but using products & methods that will strip away your oils can have reverse effects. If you strip away the natural oils of the skin over and over, the skin will begin to overproduce said oil to make up for what it thinks it's missing. So the key is: BALANCE. If you try out facial oil it could potentially help you balance out your skin and also help keep moisture in without adding anything to greasy or heavy weight onto it. Let's talk product... These are two of my current favorite facial oils! I included my favorite skin safe tea tree oil. I also would like to recommend DILUTED or SKIN SAFE frankincense oil for dark spot correction. ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil This oil does state that it is a night oil. I use it for that purpose after a beach, pool day, or whenever my skin needs an extra boost of hydration. If I'm not using it for that, then I use it as a makeup primer. Definitely soothing & a great beginner oil. Lightweight texture & I normally need 1 - 1.5 pumps for my full face. My base applies so smoothly over top of this product, I use it over top of the Elf Poreless Primer Putty & it's become my normal routine! Highly recommend. BOTANICS - 100% Organic Nourishing Facial Oil This oil is definitely a little thicker, it is rosehip based so it is amazing for deep penetrating moisturization! This has the traditional oil texture & I normally need a full dropper for my full face. JĀSON - 100% Organic Oil, Tea Tree This is safe to use directly from the bottle. Only a little onto a q-tip & that will help dry out breakouts. I hope this opened your eyes to the word of facial oils, as always please do your OWN research for your skin type! Good luck! ❤️

altered PM routine for sensitive & dry skin
The temperatures dropped below 70 this weekend and my sensitive, dry skin started freaking out! So I revamped my routine to cater to my skin’s reaction to the cooler weather. My skin has been responding really well to the changes so far. More smoothness and less flakiness for sure! ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Hemi-Squalane we’re already part of my routine and then I subbed in DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil which is a great first cleanser but also kind of smells like olive oil... I’m also using BANILA CO - Dear Hydration Toner which is new my routine. I was previously using THAYERS - Rose Petal Facial Toner which I tried due to all the hype but I’m also concerned that it’s an astringent that adding to my dry skin problem. I’m no the only one whose skin becomes drier in colder weather right?! Have you used any of these products before? What do you think about them?

A Cure For Reactive Skin
I have been on the hunt for the right cleanser to help with repairing my barrier ever since it was destroyed. A little while back, I decided to try a "clean" cleanser (see my first post) and it ended up just being full of essential oils and heavy fragrance which pretty much fried my face. I came across ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream totally by accident and was a bit hesitant to try another "green" skincare product. But! I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with this cleanser. It has just the right amount of creamy foam and even after doing a double cleanse , it did not burn or dry out my face. No inflammation. No redness. It's beautiful! I think I can finally say that my barrier is on its way to recovery. I would recommend this for normal/oily/sensitive skin. Dry skin that can handle foam cleansers would benefit from this too. I will definitely repurchase this and look forward to trying some more of their products.

Though this one will always be my favorite . I also like dropper bottle better than @acurebeauty bottle. .So want best marula go with DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil If don’t break bank go with ACURE - The Essentials Marula Oil

Marula Vs marula?
Marula oil is a wonderful skincare ingredient. It’s rich in protein and fatty acids. It’s light and easily absorbed into the skin. It’s gentle, non irritating, and moisturizing. What makes one better than the other? DRUNK ELEPHANT - Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil Marula oil claims to claims to “harvest” it differently than other products. They cold press the Marula fruit using a patented non heated water extraction to ensure the nutrients stay dense and last longer. The oil is nice, it is hydrating, very smooth and for me it hasn’t been comedogenic. The price is $40 for 15ml ACURE - The Essentials Marula Oil is also a 100% Marula oil. They don’t make the claims that DE does about the way they press it but it seems comparable to me. Lightweight, hydrating, soothing and non comedogenic I’m a big fan of this oil. $15.99 for 30 ml Overall if you blind tested me and didn’t tell me which oil was which I would be oblivious. They’re both really nice and in cases like that when I don’t notice an obvious difference in quality of product I always go for the less expensive one! There’s really no reason to spend more than twice as much for half the product. So in this product debate Acure wins!

Brightening cleanser
Who doesn’t want bright, glowy skin? Am I right? This is my other favorite cleanser, aside from clarisma and herbivore- see my other post. This has a great grip to it- it really sticks to the skin and does its work. It easily melts and liquifies my makeup and rinses clean, leaving my skin feeling fresh and smooth. There’s nothing worse than a runny cleanser that goes down the drain before it does its job! This brightening cleanserACURE - Brightening Cleansing Gel lives up to its name. I’ve been using it for a couple of years and continue to buy it for many reasons: It’s affordable clean beauty with a great reputation and long history in the industry The ingredients are effective and natural The consistency rocks! It has great grip on the skin and rinses easily It does what it says! My skin is in fact brighter overall with consistent use The ingredients that bring the brightening Pomegranate, blackberry, açaí, orange, lemon Supporting ingredients to help calm the skin Sea buckthorn, rose, chamomile, roobois, chlorella Yes! That’s a whole lot of natural and organic love for the great price point of $9-$10 for 4 fl oz Hope you give it a try!

Best scrub y’all
I’ve been using the Acure brightening scrub for about a year now and it’s definitely become my favorite exfoliating scrub. I use it about 2-3 times a week. Since I don’t do makeup on the daily I will also use this scrub if I’m going to do a full face of makeup so I have nice smooth skin to work with! It’s worked wonders for me in softening and brightening my skin up and getting rid of all the dead skin as well. Another great thing about this scrub is that it cleanses without stripping away any natural moisture! It’s 100% vegan! Price point is amazing! Def give it a go ;) Another great product from Acure is the brightening cleansing gel. This cleanser is gentle enough that it can be used daily. I remember using this for the first time and saw an instant glow on my face. It’s also great for getting rid of all your makeup!

Luxury skincare products worth it or not
#cheriepartner I’m going to be talking about luxury skin care products that are worth the hype So tart is a good brand they have really good stuff don’t get me wrong I love them but I wasn’t expecting “your a total knock out skin care would no be the best. I have pretty sensitive skin and dry skin so I was using this last winter witch was probably not the best but I was using the tingling treatment and it was good at first, the first few weeks of using the treatment and the cream was nice it smelt like lemon and it made my skin tone bright but I could feel the chemicals burning me skin. So I stopped using it right after I felt like the more I use it the more it’s going to irritate my skin and I wanted to find a good brightening facial toner or scrub. So acure is a good brand I see the hype on Cherie and everywhere so I saw target had some and I’ve always wanted to try it and it was $10 pretty food for this brand so I tried it and it was amazing it’s great for all skin types it’s 100% vegan and all natural so no harsh anything. My skin feels bright and alive I had no dryness afterwards The benefits of this product ACURE - Brightening Face Mask my skin looks so dewy after using :) Details ''Seas'' the day with ACURE's Brightening Facial Scrub, which contains natural exfoliation from the ocean. Sea kelp super-nutrients soften and detoxify, while lemon peel and French green clay cleanse without stripping away natural moisture. Madonna lily brings the brightness to round out this refreshing facial scrub. Key Ingredients: French Green Clay - draws out impurities Chlorella - supports skin's building blocks and rejuvenates Lemon Peel - gently removes dead skin cells and brightens Sage - clarifies skin Blackberry - infuses antioxidants Benefits: 100% Vegan Cruelty-free Formulated without parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, petrolatum, or formaldehyde How to Use Apply to a wet face and scrub gently with your fingertips. Rinse thoroughly. Use 3 times a week for glowing results. Next I got the pimple treatment and this stuff works awesome. It treats my pimple right away and goes down within the next day or 2 and no marks left behind So I love using both I’m so happy about these finds. ACURE - Incredibly Clear Acne Spot So you can still find the best products for a bargain deal I feel like this gave me better results then your total knockout by tart. But of course there is nothing wrong with buying luxury skin care products they either work or they don’t work and that’s why I’m nervous on getting something expensive and it won’t work , it’s just great to try anything out that does help your skin and I love all natural products I feel like that works best with sensitive skin ☺️ Let me know if you guys have any questions I hope you enjoy this post and this is helpful information

Weird texture, but effective
Acure Acne Spot Treatment. (Salicylic acid 1.5%): I received this spot treatment from Acure to test out, and I have mixed feelings about it generally. I think it’s a pretty effective spot treatment given that it has 1.5% salicylic acid, which is a really effective ingredient to reduce the size of big pimples, but it has a really weird texture and the packaging isn’t my favorite. It’s really hard for me to squeeze out the perfect amount of product since it’s a squeeze tube, and I find that it spills over and gets sticky inside the cap. Also, about 10-15 minutes after I apply it, it almost peels/rubs off, which I don’t like either. Overall, if I had dedicated time to apply it and then remove it before I went to bed, I would use it more often, but I don’t think this is a worthwhile spot treatment.

Pretty in Pink 💖
A roundup review of some pink products I’ve been using! ACURE - Seriously Soothing SPF 30 Day Cream This SPF moisturizer boasts niacinamide and blue tansy to sooth and even skin out in addition to being a moisturizing mineral SPF. I gotta say I’m not a huge fan of moisturizing SPFs in the first place but this one looked nice to me. It’s got a thin consistency coming out the tube but as you spread it on it’s pretty thick and heavy feeling. In about the middle of the ingredients list is coconut oil, a very occlusive and comedogenic oil, so I definitely wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who is oily or acne prone, but it hasn’t broken me out at least. It’s not my favorite SPF I’ve ever used, but if my skin is super dry or sensitive I’ll use this over my others. fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash I love this cleanser! I use it twice a week for some nice exfoliation. I’ve always preferred physical exfoliation over chemical (I know I’m in the minority here) and this one is super gentle! The sugar granules are small and dissolve pretty quickly, and the cleanser itself is a non-foaming jelly, plus it smells like a delicious strawberry smoothie. My skin doesn’t feel dry or tight at all after using it. I will definitely be purchasing the full size when I finish this! FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry This is the serum that changed my opinion about serums! I used to avoid them because I hated the sticky feeling they would leave on my skin, but my skin had been lackluster and I wanted to add a vitamin C to my routine. This serum is amazing y’all! It’s only 15% vitamin C derived from cherries, so it’s gentle and natural, plus it has 4 different derivatives of hyaluronic acid. It just smooths over my skin like butter, I love it, I use it as needed for extra hydration or if I just wanna feel extra glowy, plus it smells so good and sweet! I’m glad I took this plunge, I highly recommend it! ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay I’ve only used this mask twice but so far it’s been really nice. I am a masker, always have been, and while clay masks aren’t really my go-to since I have dry skin, I’m glad I have just this one. It really tightens up my pores and my skin just feels sooo smooth after. It is a bit drying after washing it off but after serum and moisturizer it’s not an issue, and when I wake up my skin feels smooth and clear. Overall i think it does what it claims to do very well!

Tired sensitive skin to lively glowing skin
I have sensitive skin (her red and irritated by May products, heat, etc). So I started using Acure’s soothing line. Immediately I noticed my skin didn’t sting and didn’t get red. Score! (And the price was reasonable: $12-19 depending on the product). The blue tansy night oil smells amd feels amazing. Once that helped my sensitivity I decided that since I was going to be in my mid thirties soon, I better get a good retinoid. So I was going to see a dermatologist, but then I saw that I could see a derm online and get a custom made product just for me: I’m on a low dose of .03% tretinoin with hyaluronic acid . I’ve using it for three months as prescribed (had to put it on every two-three nights to make sure my skin adjusted) Now I do it every day or every other day. Also, my derm dr placed vitamin c on my regimen so I went to an Acure product because I love them and it had ferulic acid as well as vitamin c, something. I learned about form someone here! I randomly got excited about the custom aspect of Atolla so I got some. I’ve only been using it for a month so I’m not sure yet. But it feels nice! No sensitivity issues, but it might just be an extra I don’t really need. I’m very happy with my progress! First Three steps for am & pm: Cleanse: ACURE - Seriously Soothing Cleansing Cream Tone:THAYERS - Lavender Facial Toner Treat: AtollaAtolla - Custom Serum AM Treat: ACURE - Brightening Vitamin C & Ferulic Acid Oil Free Serum Eyes: day eye cream I have left over from R & F Moisturize/Sun Protrect: ACURE - Seriously Soothing SPF 30 Day Cream PM Treat eyes: LA ROCHE-POSAY - Redermic R Retionl Eye Cream Eyes: night cream I have left over from R & F Dearbrightly tretinoin Dear Brightly - Retinoid Serum + Hyaluronic Acid Night cream: ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil Sometimes I will do masks and use miceller waterGARNIER - Micellar Water Facial Cleanser Sensitive Skin (garnier is my go to) to remove makeup. My Current Skincare Routine!
Howdy everybody! I’m Carl, and this is my current skincare routine. Some of these products I’ve bought myself, others are gifts (like the SkinActive Soothing Kit by Garnier). Some products are kinda old, like the Neutrogena - Alcohol Free Toner . Only so much of it is left, and though I liked it and it worked well I’m going to be using the HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Tonersoon! My newest product is the ACURE - Brightening Super Greens Serum which I adore right now! I’m hoping to use the GLOBAL BEAUTY CARE - Cucumber Hydrogel Face Masksome time soon. All in all these products have been very helpful and I recommend them (especially the GARNIER - SkinActive Soothing 3-in-1 Face Moisturizer with Rose Water ) to any of you who have dry skin and need that extra moisture every day! Hopefully by the end of quarantine (whenever that is) my skin will be amazing! 🥰

SKINCARE SALAD
I’ve been loving ACURE - Brightening Super Greens Serum because it is a really great product to brighten the complexion and fight acne. It is an oilier serum so I tend to mix it into my moisturizer or use it as my daytime moisturizer underneath SPF. It doesn’t pill or affect any other product that’s layered with it which is something I always worry about. I 100% recommend this product to anyone who struggles with mild acne or redness. It’s $18.99 which is a bit much for a drugstore product but they often have it at Marshall’s. All in all, I think it’s worth it!!

Lessons learned: exfoliation mistakes
I spent years playing around with products and techniques trying to treat my dry, acne-prone skin. I didn’t even know exfoliation was a thing until a friend of mine pointed out a face scrub during a grocery trip.... Trying new exfoliation methods and scrubs that ended up not working was essential to getting my skin to where it is now! Keep reading for a breakdown of some of my early exfoliation mistakes (I made them so you don’t have to 🙃) and how I’ve corrected them in my routine today! I started exfoliating in high school because my skin had a flaking issue. I used pretty much whatever was cheapest at the grocery store: Neutrogena pink grapefruit products, St Ives apricot scrub, fruity peel-off masks, anything to physically remove my dead skin. Chemical exfoliators terrified me for YEARS after a bad experience with a low-quality AHA face wash. I resisted until less than a year ago, using scrubby cleansers and masks whenever I saw flakes pop up again. I have now seen the light of a gentle AHA 🙏🏼😇 I use The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA daily and use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution once a week. I use ACURE - Resurfacing Glycolic & Unicorn Root Clenser when I want a gentle chemical exfoliation and still use a really gentle scrub like fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash when I need a quick fix before putting makeup on, but chemical exfoliation is my new holy grail. *I am not saying that these products are not effective, just that the way I was using them was not good for my specific skin type! I still use a lot of these products or very similar products, just properly!* And that is how I went from years of ruining my skin and not understanding how to finding my perfect exfoliation routine! Share your best mistakes in the comments!

My weekend routine for dry skin
My daily skincare routine is full of hydration, nourishment, and gentle exfoliation. It keeps my skin looking plump and smooth and I love dedicating even just a few minutes to just being with myself every morning and night. In addition to my daily routines, I have a Saturday routine that ties in with my day of relaxation and self care. During my time in college, I’ve always tried to dedicate Saturdays to myself. Incorporating a fun skincare routine into my Saturdays is a newer development, but it really elevates my day. I love spending the day with fresh, dewy skin and think it’s so peaceful to just sit on my couch with a sheet mask on, scrolling through TikTok. Keep reading for more details on my favorite weekend routine: 1. Cleanse - OSEA - Ocean Cleanser or ACURE - Resurfacing Glycolic & Unicorn Root Clenser I like to start my Saturday routine with a cleanser I don’t usually use, just to change it up a little. Recently, I’ve been using up two samples from my Allure Beauty Box and I really like them both! The Osea cleanser smells so good and is really creamy and hydrating and the Acure cleanser exfoliates really gently and leaves my skin feeling super clean 2. Exfoliating peel - The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution The fan-favorite chemical peel from The Ordinary, of course! If my skin is especially wonky, I’ll use this over my whole face. I like that it controls my pores and gets rid of dead skin, it’s very versatile! If my skin looks really good for the most part, I’ll just put it on my nose and chin to get my pores and dark spots specifically 3. Hyaluronic acid serum - The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 Right after I rinse the peel off and while my skin is still damp, I rub a couple drops of this hyaluronic acid on my face. I do this to lock in the first bit of moisture and to prep my face to absorb my next step 4. Sheet mask - I like to use soothing or hydrating masks on Saturday to calm my skin down after the intensity of the exfoliating peel. Pictured are a few of my favorites that I have right now 5. Moisturizer - belif - The True Cream-Moisturizing Bomb My favorite moisturizer ever, surprise! At the end of my routine, I apply this thicker moisturizing formula to lock in all the goodness. Sometimes I use belif - Aqua Bomb Sleeping Mask as a little treat if I’m having an especially dry week or just want to make extra sure my skin is happy after I’m done 😌 6. Relax! Not a skincare product, but so vital nonetheless. Taking care of yourself and your mental health so important. Spend some time with yourself and just enjoy life! And that’s my Saturday skincare routine! Sometimes I do a different routine on Wednesdays if my skin is being finicky, so stay tuned for how I tackle more problem-specific products. Comment your favorite skincare treat below!

I love everything about this from the texture to how it makes my skin feel. It’s a powerhouse and affordable! Sunday Riley Tidal Cream- I enjoy this cream. It’s supposed to hydrate and help fade dark spots. I haven’t reached for it enough to share my thoughts. ▫️ Rosen Tingling Mud Mask- I don’t generally have acne prone skin but I love the tingle of this mask and would recommend Rosen for anyone who is trying to find products to help clear breakouts and keep them at bay. Complex Beauty Pout Protector Lip Mask- This is a thicker lip oil that I like to spread on my lips before bed. I have been applying a balm on top to really lock in the mask. I live the vanilla tones!

Lumene: thick yet useless however I’m not ready to give up on it. Ren; Great until I used midnight recovery serum...retinol and Acids don’t play well together.

Tonight’s routine 😴
Tonight’s routine 😴
Hello everyone! I recently decided to upgrade my skincare routine from very basic (just cleansing and moisturizer most days) to something more intentional. My skin fluctuates between dry and combination (definitely very dry in the winter), I struggle with large pores, blackheads, acne prone (although my acne has improved greatly over the past few years, yay!) Here’s tonight’s routine, some staples and a couple newbies: CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I have been using this cleanser for years with no complaints Kate Somerville - ExfoliKate Intensive Exfoliating TreatmentI received this sample in my IPSY bag and used it tonight in the shower, seems nice so far! I use TO lactic acid most nights but try to do a more intense exfoliator 1-2x per week THAYERS - Cucumber Facial Mist Another longtime staple The Ordinary - Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA I use this most nights and mornings for 1. To help with dark spots and scarring and 2. For the added HA which is a nice moisture boost ACURE - Ultra Hydrating Eye Cream This eye cream is newish to me but I am liking it so far Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 30 My go to moisturizer for nights, sometimes daytime too if my skin is feeling dry ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night OilTrying this out tonight for some soothing after exfoliation
