FA safe but there is a Sulfur product I prefer
MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ^ has no fungal acne triggers Has 2 ingredients that help fight fungal acne: - Sulfur - Salicylic Acid Some people say it dries out there skin too much but I think it’s okay as a spot treatment. But it didn’t do much for my acne. A Sulfur spot treatment mask that works really well for me is De La Cruz - Sulfur Ointment, Acne Medication, Maximum Strength which you only leave on clean skin for 10 min then wash it off and use your regular skin care products
My Skincare Routine- 5 Months Later!
Long time no post! Since my first post regarding my skincare routine received quite a bit of attention, I decided to update and let you know what I’ve learned to do within the past few months. I still am using the same CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin cleanser, which will remain a long time favorite of mine. I am considering trying the SA cleanser once this runs out! My routine has simplified, as I really only moisturize and use The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% in the morning and at night. I love how my once oily skin is now more manageable! I have come to learn that my skin really doesn’t agree with the The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA serum. I was away at college and left it home, as I’ve been back for about a month I decided to try it again and my skin has NOT been happy. I could be wrong, but I believe this can be to blame. I have really switched over from my The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution to the The Ordinary - Salicylic Acid 2% Masque once a week, as I feel the latter is less harsh on my skin. I could possibly be allergic to the peeling solution, as again at school I left it out of my routine and saw better results. My holy grail product used to be the MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion , which worked great but dried my skin out around the pimple over time. Now, acne patches are the way to go! I got these ones from Amazon, and at ~$10 for 125 patches, I see it as a complete win! Now I turn to you guys, as I still struggle with hormonal acne and now dry skin that the weather has changed. If there are any products you recommend (with a college students budget in mind!), don’t hesitate to comment below! I hope you all had safe and wonderful holidays with your loved ones! ❤️

centella asciatica + spironolactone = 🥰
it’s been a minute! here’s an update on my skin, picture on the left was taken during my peak worst skin of 2020 (June) and now (December). Between now and then, it’s been mainly credited to patience, attempting to pick my skin less, simplifying my routine, and a few amazing products that my skin just seems to really agree with. here’s my routine: Morning/Day: Cetaphil - Gentle Skin Cleanser This amazing aloe / glycerine/ squalane moisturizer that I get from a local aesthetician. Linking here! It is SO light and doesn’t clog skin but moisturizers super well. I go thru this like crazy. 10/10 https://www.smartcosmeticstudio.com/shop/exzit-moisture TULA SKINCARE - Cooling & Brightening Eye Balm MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater DRUNK ELEPHANT - Lippe Balm Night: Same routine but adding: COSRX - Centella Blemish Cream I literally would be LOST without this product. I use it over moisturizer- it’s pretty thick and probably should be used as a spot treatment, but I cover my face lightly in it. I found it’s been amazing for acne scars, healing, lightening, and soothing redness. Nexcare - Nexcare Acne Blemish Cover Amazing and so cheap on amazon Or... PanOxyl - PM Overnight Spot Patches love these but a little more expensive. I have that on in my picture on the right! I’m also on 100mg/ day of Spironolactone for about 6mo as prescribed by my Dermatologist. I recommend this as an alternative if no over the counter products are helping, it took a while to start working but saves me from the horrible and painful under skin pimples which would probably be convering my face if I weren’t taking this! 🤍
So, it’s been now over two weeks and these are the fab 5 that have helped my skin SO much from all my “facemask-acne”. Yes, it’s taken a little while, but I am happy that my breakouts are almost completely gone (except for a very stubborn one near my mouth). Please note: I do NOT recommend any of these products for anyone with sensitive skin, except for the face spray!! Ok, let’s go product by product now: NEOSTRATA - Foaming Glycolic Wash I LOVE this face wash! Everything from the super soft foam texture, the small amount you need, and the barely there scent is great about it. The 4 and not 5 stars?? If you overuse it (like I have 🤦🏻♀️) it’ll dry out your skin a bit. So, careful !! MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater This little spray is everything to me. The main reason: it does NOT have any alcohol in it and therefore doesn’t dry my skin out. I like to use it as a “toner” in between my wash/treatments/moisturizer, but when I need a bit of hydration through the day, I just do a couple of sprays 😊 Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment Ok, first things first: the one thing I CANNOT stand about this product is the smell 😩😩😩 It’s super strong and definitely not pleasant. However, when it comes to its effectiveness, I must say it’s great. My skin does feel clean, like I’ve taken away a thin layer of extra whatever was there (sorry lol, it’s hard to explain). It burns a bit on my breakouts, but it has helped reduce them too. Once again, another product NOT to be overdone, it’s a strong formula that contains Alpha Hydroxy Acid, which can be damaging to the skin when not used properly. PLEASE use at night only, and REMEMBER to use SPF during the day as well as minimum sun exposure for the sake of your skin staying healthy and getting the most benefit out of AHA’s!! NEOSTRATA - Acne Clarifying Solution This solution right here is bomb! Yes, I said it. Has to be the best acne solution I’ve ever used. It does work great for my skin. I only dab a saturated cotton pad where I need it (breakouts mostly and oily parts of my face). It burns my breakouts, yes, I literally DO feel the burn lol, which it also means it’s working, right? 🤔 It’s also helped with my redness and the breakout bumps minimize noticeably! And last, but not least MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion Yes, another cult fave that I HAD to try myself lol. I think it’s effective and it does a good work by drying out breakouts (or anything that’s a pustule or such). My only complaint is that it takes a while to see the results. Maybe I was expecting it to be one of those “overnight miracle” products, but it just isn’t. It’s also recommended to be applied and left overnight, which I did, but in the morning my ugly little bumps were still there, just in the slow process of going away...

HELP! Hormonal acne & acne scars!!!
Ever since getting off birth control a couple of months ago, my skin started breaking out uncontrollably. I was left with tons of acne scars and I wake up with new blemishes almost daily. Here’s my current routine: AM - I was my face with Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser. I pat my face dry and then spray my face with MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Teaand apply VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream PM - I once again wash my face with Aveeno - Ultra-Calming Foaming Cleanser and then apply adapalene gel on dry skin. If you have any tips on steps to implement in my routine or any product recommendations, please let me know! 💛
Believe or not?! My 3-step Morning Routine in Just 3 Min!🤗🤗
I believe you are just like me who don’t like a busy morning and have no time for a full face make up or a full skincare routine. It is hard for some to save time and finish the whole skincare routine at the same time. I just figuring out that by bonding these products together for the morning routine can provide you an overall antioxidant and sunlight protection with an easy and efficient 3-step morning routine. Sometimes when the serum is already hydrating and moisturising, I don’t use a toner but the MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Cucumber and Green Teait’s really refreshing and prepares for the following make up if necessary. It has a really fresh smell and I like how convenient and easy to spread it all over your face other than use a cotton pad to apply toner. Then I will follow with this COSMEDIX - Affirm Serum. This serum is super powerful and provides an amazing antioxidant protection for my face for the whole day. It has a liquid texture and has a very light sesame smell. It is not a cheap product though but I think that I would buy this again because it surprisingly solved my acne scar and redness problem with its anti-inflammation effect. A little product goes a long way so I think it actually worth it compared to many other so-called antioxidant serums. The last step of my 3-step routine isISDIN - Fusion Water Sunscreen SPF 50+ Oil-Free . Sunscreen is necessary for people with all skin types to fight photoaging. I have combination/oily skin and this sunscreen is non-comedogenic, it doesn’t cause pimples and provides a really comfortable and breathable dry finish. It also dries really fast and doesn’t leave any white marks on my face. One thing I don’t like is its weird fragrance to be honest but I can bear with that with for its affordable price. Time Is never enough and especially valuable in the morning so I wish this could help you to figure out what you may like to try in the morning to save time :P

❌BIG MISTAKE❌ EMPTY. PLEASE READ THIS
MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Chamomile and Lavender I bought this product a month ago, that was before I knew how bad can be for my skin. I started to watch videos of Hyram about a month ago as well.. my skin type used to be oily, but I didn’t know anything about skincare, what was good for my skin etc.. so I bought like many products (during my 18th now I’m 21 )with lots of fragrances BIG MISTAKE! Because all this products what they did was to dry out my skin that’s why my skin type is dry nowadays.. When I started watching videos of Hyram man!! I was finally educating myself, Thank God he saved my skin, but yeah I bought this product before I watch the video of him talking about Mario Badescu facial sprays😂 good thing is that I basically watch it the night I was going to spray for the first time this product. Man in that moment I realized that that’s the reason why my skin is so dry, products with fragrances irritated my skin so bad.. I couldn’t return the product because I didn’t have a receipt so I look for alternatives to use this products and I found 2 1. Spray it on my pillow 2. Spray it on my feet I thought spraying this on my pillow was dumb because I put my face on my pillow, it was basically the same thing 🤣 so I decided to used on my feet... finally today I finished the bottle! 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽😬 Please don’t make the same mistakes I made when I was a teenager. Do a resource, read ingredients, find what they are for. Educate yourself. ☺️🤗 have a good day/ or night... Excuse my bad English.. it’s not my first/native language.

My skincare routine when Breakout🧐
So, today I want to share my skincare routine when I breakout. There is times whether it is too much junck food you are intaking or unhealthy lifestyle or even pressure can cause breakout. I have experienced enough and everytime I stressed out. Here is a skincare routine that I found really working well for me and I really really want to share with you girls. I know it can be very frustrated, but there are good products that can help. And the main point is to stay calm and do not stress out since pressure is only gonna make it worse. Everytime I have breakout, I really want my acne to go completely away, as well as the scars and pigmentation. It is a long process. But I am going to share the products that I've tested and been working well for me. As normal, my skin type is that I'm a little bit oily in my T-zone and a little bit dry/normal on the rest of my face. So I consider myself a combination dry. Since most of my skin is still dry throughout the year all from Mario Badescu MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion This dry lotion is a spot treatment that helps dry up surface blemishes against acnes. The key ingredient in it is Zinc Oxide that works to protects skin and prevents further irritation. I use it during the night since it has the pink powder. And I really feel my acne is getting less irritated and smaller next morning. It works for pretty much all skin types. Sametime I also found it drys out my skin especially around the acne area. So you want to make sure to avoid other areas on your skin, only focusing on the acne . One thing I do want to point out is that DO NOT shake the Drying Lotion. MARIO BADESCU - Silver Powder This powder is mainly for black heads but I do found it calmed my skin really well and does a good job at cleaning. I like to use it during breakout days. I shook out about a tablespoon give or take into the cap of this jar and mix it with purified water. I use it twice a week and after a month I can literally see a difference in pore color and sizes. MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater This spray is my breakout days savier! It is such a nice calming floral face mist. One thing that I am always looking for during breakout days is ingredients. This spray is free of sulfates SLS and SLES and parabens. The natural ingredients including rose water, aloe and herbs helps dehydrated skin with a dewy glow. It really refreshes and moisturizes your skin. It comes as travel friendly bottle, I normally keep it in my bag and constantly use it through out the day.
first impressions of the SILVER POWDER
MARIO BADESCU - Silver Powder I came across this product and knew that I definitely needed to give this a try with my main problem being blackheads and pores ! this product is composed of calcium carbonate, kaolin and zinc oxide. calcium carbonate is an absorbent product which is why this product is so good at absorbing oil in your skin. kaolin is an absorbent clay mineral and is found in a lot of clay masks for oil absorption! zinc oxide is an effective acne treatment for inflammation and skin irritation to keep problems with breakouts away! now onto the review ! I tried this for the first time the other day and i am shocked by it !!!! I really didn’t have high hopes for this product (with it being mario badescu), but it’s amazing and I cant wait to use it again! how to use ! (use 1-2 times a week) I put this product on without wetting my face or cleansing it and then used a wet cotton pad and dipped it into the powder. I have heard people say it is quite messy, but it hasn’t been too bad for me yet! I then spread it over my face where I get the most blackheads which is my nose and cheeks. I left it on for 15 minutes, then got the majority of the product off with water. with a wet face I used a q-tip gently along my face where I applied it (pro tip I found on here!!) and some blackheads and oil plugs came out onto the q-tip !!!! *it was extremely satisfying* after this cleanse and do your routine as normal 🤩 hope this was insightful lovelies !!! ❣️ #cheriecreator

i wanted to like it but
It irritated my skin! I bought this product last year, but it’s still for sale. Looking at the ingredients, though, none if them have changed. Sensitive skin peeps, beware! I don’t know if it was the Fragrance or what, but this thing made my skin tingle. And not in a good way. I noticed my skin getting red every time I used it. And, when it combined with my acne medication, it made the skin around my mouth peel for a week. I bought it because the store rep told me how popular it was online. And it was $14.00 for 8.0 oz, making it more affordable than a lot of hyped cleansers. But it just didn’t work :c In the 2nd pic, I lathered it with water on my hand. It also isn’t easy to rub into your face since it’s not foamy at all- though that could be a personal preference. But still, I did research and found some controversy around this brand. 🚨BRAND LAWSUIT 🚨 In 2014, Mario Badescu faced a lawsuit. People were using their Control Cream and Healing Cream, which were marketed as only having plant-based ingredients. But they each contained two steroids: hydrocortisone and triamcinolone acetonide - and they were stronger than prescription strength. Some had been using it for up to 14 years, but when they stopped, they got withdrawal-like symptoms. They suffered from higher cortisol, skin atrophy, and Cushing’s syndrome. To learn more about the science of these, I recommend Kaur Beauty’s video on Youtube titled, “STUDENT DOCTOR BREAKS DOWN MARIO BADESCU STEROID CREAM LAWSUIT.” Companies can reform themselves and change their formulations. But I couldn’t find any statement from Badescu on changing their practices. 🙁 So yeah. Thought it was important to get the word out on that. And hopefully this will encourage more ethical practices in the skincare industry.
My evening skin routine
Hey there, I am a combination/oily skin person. I recently started a new skincare routine because the previous routine was not working and it was actually making it worse over time. However it's a new day so here's my new nightly routine from left to right. 1. Gentle cleanse- MARIO BADESCU - Enzyme Cleansing Gel This is actually been working nicely on my skin. There is no foaming which in not really used to but it cleanses the first layer of dirt off with no reactions to the product so that's great so far. 2. Exfoliating Cleanse- philosophy - The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash I absolutely love this product. I've been using it for months now and I love how it exfoliates my skin leaving it feeling smooth and I feel like all the dirt and make up is gone. Be gentle on your skin though because if scrubbed too hard you can tear your akin from the tiny beads inside the cell. 3. Toner- The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I just started the ordinary brand altogether. So far I really like this toner vs ACV/water toner that I was using that complete dryies my skin out ad burned it. This does the complete opposite. It clams my skin and tighten my pores as well as leave my skin feeling supple and soft not dry. 4. Serum The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA I instantly loved this product because the results were very clear from the first application. I do about 4-5 drops on my face and apply it evenly letting it sit for 5 mins before moving on to the next serum. I have scarring that instantly smoothed out and the textured healing skin is much smoother than before. I'm so happy about that. 5. Blemish treatment- The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Right now I really can tell how well this product is working because tonight was my first time. I will say that with me combining them with the other serum it worked just fine on my skin no irritation at all. I'm currently dealing with period breakout so I won't fault the product quite yet. It's supposed to help with breakout and reducing sebum. 6. Moisturizer- The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil I never thought you use argan oil on my skin I've used it on hair but now I love using it on my skin. I was afraid it would make my skin oily but it actually hasn't. It's a very lightweight oil and It's best in my opinion to apply at night. I oil up a lot during the day so I use something else during the day.

Glycolic on the rocks
MARIO BADESCU - Glycolic Acid Toner is described an alcohol-free, anti-aging toner that works to rejuvenate dull, dehydrated skin and reveal a more radiant, youthful-looking complexion. Works for: Dry, normal and combination skin. Fights: Uneven skin tone, large pores, dark spots and dullness. Costs: $18 Debriefing: This might be my least-favorite glycolic acid toner that I have tried thus far. Glycolic acid is an AHA — along with lactic and citric — which means it is a chemical exfoliant. I didn’t notice any improvement in my skin. I decided to declutter all of my MB products and this was included. Recommend? No, but you can get The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution for $8.70.

A rose-scented dream
I am admittedly obsessed with anything rose scented and had yet to find a good rose scented lip balm! Enter this product. A creamy balm that is so hydrating and soothing without being sticky!!! The rose scent is lovely, but not overpowering. HOWEVER if you are not a fan of rose scent they also have an unscented and a mint scent (I haven’t used them yet) but I highly recommend this formula! My Accutane Routine- Plz Critique
MARIO BADESCU - Witch Hazel & Rosewater Toner This is actually an empty to be honest. I just refilled it with witch hazel because ai love the container. But while I was using the actual product my skin was great. RATA & CO. - Rose Water & Witch Hazel Facial Mist Toner Honestly I don’t even know if this works. It just feels nice and is kinda fun to use. It has Vitamin C and aloe vera but I will have to use it more. CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 Boring I know but it gets the job done. The pumps are kinda small though, I have to apply to wet skin in order to cover my whole face but It kinda reacts weird with water. Like it doesn’t blend into my skin. CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion I love the texture to this product and have no genuine complaints. HAWAIIAN Tropic - Silk Hydration Air Soft Ultra-Light Sun Lotion SPF50 I feel like this isn’t very good. I love the scent though and the color makes it unnoticeable. I don’t feel like I’m wearing sunscreen. Very lightweight. CeraVe - Resurfacing Retinol Serum I have seen a noticeable difference in my acne scarring but have to use it more. CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I LOVE how gentle this cleanser is. It feels super nice. That’s it. #Studio 35 Beauty - Vitamin E Skin Oil[products]#[FourStars] Very heavy but I only wear at night. Also with being on accutane, the first few weeks I would wake up with very dry skin. But my skin isn’t dry at all in the morning while applying this on parts of my face along with the vitamin C serum. NATURE'S TRUTH - Professional Vitamin C Serum I wake up glowing when I apply this at night. Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil No I don’t apply this to my face but just in general my whole skin gets super dry with the medication, so this also acts as a moisturizer for stretch marked parts of my legs and works amazing. Aquaphor - Healing Ointment Skin Protectant Holy grail for dry lips and recommended by my dermatologist. ChapStick - Total Hydration Moisture + Tint Lip Balm This came in a gift basket for a white elephant last christmas. But the color is great and it’s just fun to use. Gets the job done, especially before Zoom classes. Vaseline - Lip Therapy Rosy Lip Balm LOVE THIS!!!! World’s best lip balm. Cetaphil - Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream Works wonders for dry accutane skin on your body. Let me note that I have no idea what I’m doing. Please give me any advice if I’m doing something wrong, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!❤️
The skincare products I gave away 🙅🏻♀️
Recently I picked up a couple of MARIO BADESCU products with generally good reviews to incorporate into some empty spots in my skincare regime. My skin is normal to dry, non-acne prone and sensitive in my eye area but otherwise pretty easy to manage. My aim introducing a toner was to really clear my skin to make my pores appear more refined and to try a facial spray to boost hydration during the day between my AM and PM routines. The MARIO BADESCU Witch Hazel & Rosewater toner is described as being a mild toner which doesn’t strip the skin and contains aloe to soothe and hydrate. I used the toner daily in the PM after my Philosophy Purity cleanser for a week and my impressions were: My skin was uncomfortably tight and took a lot of effort and additional product than usual to rehydrate after using this toner. Within the first 24 hours I’d developed small irritated dry patches around my mouth and chin, these cleared once I stopped using the toner and my skin renewed. I tried twice again and both times caused the same irritation to my skin. There was no improvement to my skin texture or appearance of my pores during use Artificial perfumes 👎🏻 The MARIO BADESCU Aloe, Sage and Orange Blossom facial spray is an infusion of essential water and botanical extracts touted as refreshing the skin and improving tone and clarity. I used the spray daily mid-day and my impressions were: Fragrance is nice enough from a distance but there is a lot of artificial perfume in this product which I don’t feel is great Refreshing when sprayed but didn’t hydrate my skin or have any benefit to the appearance of my skin My Rating: MARIO BADESCU - Witch Hazel & Rosewater Toner MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Sage and Orange Blossom The toner didn’t sit well with my skin at all, I wouldn’t recommend this product if you have dry or sensitive skin as I found it very harsh and dehydrating. The facial spray while not offensive I found pointless in my daily skincare regime as, while it didn’t have a negative affect on my skin like the toner, it didn’t do anything for my skin. I literally gave both of these products away to a friend to try and I wouldn’t repurchase.

Amazing product for body acne!😍
I have struggled with body breakouts for years and have tried everybody wash you can think of. And I was always looking for an AHA based body wash to help my body acne, hyperpigmentation, and discoloration from leftover body acne. I have extremely sensitive skin all over my body, physical exfoliation is not an option for me. I had never used any Mario Badescu products before buying this but had heard good things about them. This MARIO BADESCU - A.H.A Botanical Body Soap has been amazing! Within 3 weeks of using this, my skin has cleared for the first time in over 5 years. The fact that I used it more than a couple of times is astounding in itself. I use it with a shower oil and it has been a game-changer. I no longer have acne, itchy skin. It extremely reduced keratosis pilaris on my shoulders, arms, and legs, there are a lot fewer little spots on them and almost no redness. Also, spots on my back are almost completely gone. I’ve been using it a few weeks now and every once and a while I’ll have a small break out but nothing like before. It’s only been 3 weeks showers and already my back is smooth and the left behind scars are lighter than they were. I had despaired ever finding anything that didn't make my skin hurt and did alleviate my body acne after a shower. My skin is so soft that I have found myself petting my arm because of how nice it feels. I never thought I would find something that would clear my body acne and this stuff is so amazing. Between the price, fragrance, and overall confidence this bottle gives you, has almost no smell too which I'm fine with. Happy with this, there is no reason not to go for it. I’ll continue using this for a long long time.
Products for body acne You must have this one!👇
In the hot summer, the back is also a problem besides the facial skin. There will be some acne on the back, which is caused by the unsmooth skin pores. I have been looking for some effective solutions. MARIO BADESCU - A.H.A Botanical Body Soap$18/236ML This is a body soap that I like very much. It can sooth and relaxes the body, while designed to leave skin feeling thoroughly clean and refreshed. A. H. A. Botanical Body Soap is formulated with an invigorating blend of fruit enzymes, Ginseng, and Linden to revitalize skin with every shower. A. H. A. Botanical Body Soap is the best-selling body wash of MARIO BADESCU. It smells good because it is grapefruit-infused. This is the ideal shower gel for all skin types, whether you are dull and dry skin, oily and problematic skin. The cleansing ingredients contained in it can effectively reduce skin pore blockage and oil secretion. So as to suppress acne on the back or other parts of the body. The use of MARIO BADESCU A. H. A. Botanical Body Soap is also very simple. Use a soft cloth or sponge to apply body soap to wet skin. After that, rinse off thoroughly. It is important to note that this product is specially designed for the body, so do not use it on face. If product gets into eyes, rinse well with water. On the other hand, this kind of product can also be used as a hand disinfectant. After washing thoroughly, I recommend that you use a gentle body lotion to strengthen your body's hydration. For acne on the back and chest, we must not take it lightly when we are taking physical care. We must keep our bodies clean and dry. At the same time, we must change our underwear in time. Only by paying close attention to all aspects can the skin be smooth and flawless.
