I can say yes to Ouai!
#OUAI - OUAI Leave-In Conditioner[products]#[ThreeStars] After coloring my hair and noticing over the year how damaged my hair has been. I started investing more time and money into repairing and taking care of the hair I have. My stylist always says to use at least 3 products in my hair. Especially when one is styling. I began to look into leave in conditioners. I opted to go to the “high end” route and found this oaui leave in. The tiny 1.5 oz bottle I have is $12 and the larger 4.6 oz..$26! I decided to try it out before spending all that money on something that may or may not work for my hair. Thoughts: The smell is absolutely amazing!! Best part about the scent is that it does linger in your hair after you have styled it. Does do a great job conditioning my ends, and keeping it soft, but I do feel like there are a lot of other great leave ins that do the same. One thing I will say i feel consistent use of this, with focusing on my ends has helped with the dryness I was experiencing after coloring my hair.

What causes hair static & how to fight it 💁
As the cold winter season slowly creeps on us, escaping static electricity will seem impossible, no matter how often we moisturize our hair during the winter. Static electricity is created when two unlike objects rub against each other. The process causes electrons from one object to be transferred to the other. The object that loses the electrons gets a positive charge, while the object that gains electrons get a negative charge. That’s how our hat hair is derived. When the material of the hat rubs against the strands of your hair, they swap electrons, causing a kind of electric charge to build up on your hair. If there isn’t any humidity or moisture in your hair, like on a dry winter morning, the charge causes your strands to repel from another like a magnet, causing embarrassing static and frizz. Stretegy #1 - Hair Oil Dehyradtion is one of the reasons that hair is conducting an electric charge. During winter, our strands can become dry due to lack of moisture in the air. Cold winter winds and warm indoor heat also contribute to this drynes. Pay extra attention to the tresses by moisturizing the strands with an effective hair oil. This powerful Rose Hair & Body Oil by OUAI is a best-seller from the brand. Containing a blend of Absinthium, Shea, and Rosehip Oil, the nourishing oil works to protect strands, lock in moisture, and impart a glowing finish to my skin and hair. I also love how the gorgeous fragrance lingers on my hair for hours, thanks to the rose, bergamot, lychee, and white musk ingredients. US$32 for 3oz OUAI - Rose Hair & Body Oil Strategy #2 – Leave-in Conditioner If you do not have a hair oil or if you prefer another texture, feed your hair the moisture it needs by using a leave-in conditioner. The product will help to hydrate the strands and defend it against the varying temperatures and weather conditions. I love the leave-in conditioner launched by the same brand OUAI. This anti-frizz leave in conditioner with thermal potection not only repair dry ends, it also protects against breakage, and adds slip to hair for a seamless detangling process. The scent is so lovely too – coined “North Bondi”, the fragrance boasts notes including bergamot, italian lemon, rose de mai, magnolia, and lily. US$26 for 4.7oz OUAI - OUAI Leave-In Conditioner

BAG FULL OF GOODIES
wanted to share my quick thoughts on some new products i have recently tried/incorporated into my routine! ⭐️ @theouai rose hair & body oil: we love a multi-functional product!!! this smells so fresh and is perfect for the ends of my hair for an extra boost of hydration. also makes me skin so soft! ⭐️ @boscia cleansing oil*: such a clean scent! i use about 2-3 pumps of this at night & easily removes all my makeup & spf. it’s hydrating and doesn’t leave any type of film behind! ⭐️ @soleilsolace shimmering rose infused body oil*: this is a dream! it gives the perfect amount of hydration & shimmer!!! it blends effortlessly & leaves me so glowy. ⁉️ @cocokind tumeric tonic: i really enjoy tumeric in products, but still am unsure about this one. i have used this in my AM & PM routine, but didn’t really see any noticeable difference on breakouts. it is also a rollerball, which I am not a huge fan of. i am going to continue to test it out! ⭐️ @byroe_official better green essence toner*: really enjoy the idea of an essence + toner! i never really used an essence in my routine because I didn’t think it was necessary, but this is so hydrating! i use it my PM routine after cleansing and I find that it really preps my skin for my serums & moisturizer! ⁉️ @habitskin spf 41 mister*: absolutely LOVE the idea of a spf mister... it’s genius tbh. it sprays on pretty evenly and light, however it does makes me look a bit oily. I think it’s perfect for pool days & days where I am wearing minimal makeup, but not sure that I would use daily. ⭐️ @cocokind texture smoothing cream: light weight moisturizers are my go-to for combo skin & this is perfect! i mostly use this in my PM routine as a last step & it really does a nice job of locking everything in. ⭐️ @farmacybeauty daily greens moisturizer*: this is another great lightweight gel moisturizer! while i enjoy using it in my AM routine, I think I still like honey drop more. I like using this on no makeup days. it keeps me looking matte and fresh!

YOUR SCALP IS SKIN TOO!
A FRIENDLY REMINDER TO NEVER NEGLECT YOUR SCALP! ✨ People tend to forget that their scalp is skin too and so it needs to be treated the same way we care for our faces or our bodies. Scalp scrubs can be used by anyone! If you have a dry scalp, itchy scalp, ANY scalp can benefit from a scalp scrub!! OUAI - Scalp & Body Scrub I have recently been using the OUAI (pronounced WAY) Body & Scalp Scrub. I apply the scrub once a week and it has left my scalp feeling soft and nourished, and has given my hair sooo much more volume! It has also eliminated A LOT of product build up! The smell of the scrub is just to die for - the texture is quite thick and very granular so I like to apply it to a dry scalp FIRST before I get into the shower... Then I massage it in once it’s wet. An alternative/addition to a scalp scrub is a SCALP BRUSH! Using a scalp brush stimulates your hair follicles which increases blood flow and encourages hair GROWTH! 🤩 #Moyoko - Scalp Brush[products]#[FiveStars] The Moyoko scalp brush is such good quality and comes in a variety of cute colours! I often use it to massage my scalp scrub into my scalp when I’m in the shower. The silicone pins aren’t at all harsh on your scalp and actually give an unreal head massage! 😍 Try it out! Paula x

MY HAIR GROWTH TRICKS🤫💥
Healthy scalp = health hair. 💫The Kardashions love OUAI- I now know why!!!!💫 This scalp scrub exfoliates your scalp and stimulates blood flow therefore massaging this into your head stimulates follicle so that you produce thicker hair and help dilate blood vessels beneath the skin, thereby encouraging hair growth. I do this once a week to clarify and resurface my scalp from folicle build and helps with the overall health of my hair I have seen huge results myself and recommend this to anyone trying to grow thick and healthy hair! It all starts with a healthy scalp girls 💕👏🏼 (This can also be used on skin how’s the value!!!) OUAI - Scalp & Body Scrub

Unexpected results... not complaining!
I bought the HERBIVORE - Sea Mist Coconut + Sea Salt Beach Wave Hair Mist because my hair is thin and limp and wanted to add some texture and volume and maybe get some beachy waves. This spray did none of those things for me...then why do I love this product?!? Because it works amazingly as a hair detangler for after I come out of the shower and need to comb through all the knots! The hair detanglers I have used in the past have been leave-in conditioner sprays which have worked but leave my hair looking greasy (I have thin hair and don’t need conditioner)! This product doesn’t weigh down my hair at all and has a beautiful very light coconut smell. A bonus is that it comes in a huge glass bottle which will surely last me many months (and I use it everyday). If you’re looking for a spray that gives you some waves/ curls, I would recommend OUAI - OUAI Wave Spray instead. It works well to give me that beachy texture! The cons are that it leaves a slight crunchy feel to the hair and the bottles aren’t huge for the price point and doesn’t last long.

Effortless Beachy Waves. No Heat, No Hassle
I get a lot of questions from people about my hair and how I always look like I just came from the beach and while 99% of it is genes and having wavy hair. This is hair routine. Hope you enjoy!! 🌊 Before getting in the shower I use my Wet brush - Original Detangler to get all the tangles 🌊In the shower I use Lustea Color Brightening purple shampoo to keep my blonde hair bright. Following up with the Lustea Hemp Oil Complex which is a nourishing condition. *** I just go to TJ Max or Marshall’s when I need shampoo and conditioner and use what I find :)*** 🌊 Once I am done in the shower I twist my hair into a low bun to get all the excess water then put it into the classic towel we all know and love. I leave my hair up in the towel for 5-10 minutes 🌊 MIXED CHICKS - Leave-In Conditioner if you have wavy hair you need this product!!!! I use a quarter-sized amount of product and scrunch it up into my hair. Never pulling my hair straight or I’ll pull out the waves. I repeat this step with MACADAMIA - Nourishing Repair Oil Treatment 🌊 I always in the evening so next I will leave my hair down to air dry. Then once my hair is 50% dry I braid it into a simple braid just make sure it’s not too tight and the ponytail isn’t too tight either 🌊 Sleep in my makeshift braid and in the morning I spray OUAI - OUAI Wave Spray Repeat this whole process every 3-4 days. But in between all I do is use my hair oil at night and sleep in my loose braid -hil

dry, coarse, wavy hair! care routine
Hi Cherie fam! Wanted to share my hair care routine for my dry coarse wavy hair. I honestly haven’t been diligent about this, and it’s shown on my dry ends :( About my hair loooooong 💇🏽‍♀️ it reaches my butt dry and coarse ☀️it feels like sand paper 😅 wavy 🌊it gets frizzy and tangled very easily scalp issues 🧐 seborrhoeic dermatitis leaves my scalp itchy and flakey About my care scalp shampoo Vitabrid C¹² - Scalp Shampoo this shampoo saved my scalp. Seriously!! I have tried so many things and within a week, this shampoo alleviated itchiness, dry was, and flakes. wet comb in the shower to de tangle my tresses using SOL de Janeiro - Brazilian Joia Strengthening + Smoothing Conditioner I love how nourishing this is for my ends! scalp tonic Vitabrid C¹² - Hair Tonic Professional this in combo with the shampoo is CHEFS KISS. It’s concentrated vitamin c, and it goes to healing quick. I started with it every day when I had really bad scabs on my scalp, but now I only do it when I feel it get itchy. hair moisture SheaMoisture - 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Leave-In Conditioner first this smells so heavenly. Second, this helps my hair air dry frizz free Dry ends OUAI - OUAI Hair Oil this stuff smells like a dream. I like it but I’m not sure it does much. I think I’m just used to putting it on my ends, but quite honestly I haven’t seen too much of a difference even after months of use. It’s just a ritual at this point

Hair Oils 💇‍♀️⠀
Sorry, I know it’s not skincare. 😂 But I am very excited for this post. These are the Ouai Hair Oils, in the original and rose scent. I’ve only really started to address the frizziness of my super curly hair, and I’m so glad I found these. ⠀ ⠀ The Hair Oil is a lightweight oil that claims to protect from heat and UV damage, smooth out frizzy hair, and give your locks a super smooth finish. I opened up the bottle to smell the product and I immediately wished there was a perfume in this scent. It’s very unique and I wanted to bathe myself in it. I then applied 1 pump to my damp hair, working from the middle down to my roots before applying another pump in the same manner. My hair has been soft and shiny for 2 days now, and I only wash my hair every other day. 10/10 would likely buy this again!⠀ ⠀ The Rose Hair and Body Oil claims to be a multipurpose oil for hair and body that hydrated the skin while restoring shine to your hair and reducing the appearance of damage. This oil is silicone-free. I loved the smell of this oil so much that I went and purchased the Melrose Place perfume, which is the same scent as this oil. For this oil, I applied 2 pumps to my damp hair from root to end and felt as though my roots looked a little greasy. Application method that I used with the original scent seemed to work best for me. I haven’t tried it as a body oil yet, but tomorrow I don’t work so that would be the perfect day! Would I repurchase this one too? Absolutely. They have a value size that I’ll be desperate to have!⠀ ⠀ Do you use hair oil? Drop your favourites in the comments! 👇🏻

My OUAI!
Instagram made me buy it! Ouai (pronounced as way), means yes, in a casual Parisian way. This brand is everywhere and promoted by our favorite beauty gurus, celebrities and the most influential family, the Kardashians. I love its modern and minimalist packaging. It really stands out when you enter Sephora. It is also a cruelty free brand yay! For me, it’s really important to use products that are safe and free from any harmful chemicals. Another reason why I love Ouai as their products are formulated without parabens and sulfates. OUAI - Texturizing Hair Spray This is a hair spray and a dry shampoo in one. I use this after curling my hair to add more volume. The holding power is not that strong but it works well to tame my baby hair when I do a high tie ponytail. The most effective way is to flip your hair upside down, spray and scrunch using just your fingers. It doesn’t leave a heavy residue but it makes my hair oily the day after I used it. Other than I love this product and it smells amazing! OUAI - OUAI Wave Spray I grew up in the tropics and one of my essentials when going to the beach is a good wave spray. I bought this in mini and used in during my travel to Bali. Nothing special about this but it does the job of creating beachy waves and enhances the hair texture. OUAI - Rose Hair & Body Oil I actually prefer to use it on my skin. It is light and fast absorbing. I would always bring this with me to the beach and combine it with my tanning lotion and it works perfectly everytime. The scent is not overpowering, dispenses easily & a little goes a long way. #cheriepartner@cherie

Maybe you’re doing it wrong!
Having thick hair can seem so luxurious on a good hair day, but come a bad one, I almost feel ready to chop it all off! Not that I would, I enjoy my long hair too much for it. My hair is especially challenging because not only is it thick and long, but my hair is also course. This means that doing anything at all to my hair requires a long period of time, and a good amount of upper body strength! Because of this, I used to hate straightening or curling my hair, and most of the time I just hoped for the best. It used to take me ages to straighten my hair for an event, only for it to get frizzy and unmanageable within a matter of an hour. But I soon figured out how to tame this mane of hair! It is my fixed routine that doesn’t fail me at all! I generally start off the straightening process by applying a good amount of the L'ORÉAL PROFESSIONNEL - L'Oréal Spray before using my straightener. I bought the 5.7 oz fl (170 ml) spray for only $4! Once I have that applied throughout my hair, I get started on the straightening. For thick and long hair, sectioning is SO important! I typically start out by sectioning layers and beginning with the lowest one. I then work my way upwards towards my crown. Another huge addition to this routine is the use of a good paddle brush. Now, people may generally use a wide-toothed comb during the straightening process, but I stand by the paddle brush. Because my hair is thick and course, it also gets tangled easily, so I strongly prefer the detangling paddle brush over a comb to get the job done. I use this brush to figure out which part of the section will be getting straightened and essentially, the brush is leading the straightener. This method, I find, is SO helpful in getting every strand of hair straightened. Before, I used to have sections of wavy hair and other sections of straightened hair, but with this method, EVERYTHING gets beautifully smooth and straight. Once I am satisfied with the result, I set everything down with the OUAI - Texturizing Hair Spray that I got for just $12 (!!!), and this makes my straight hair last the entire day!

My New Favourite Perfume 🌹
Melrose Place by The Ouai is one perfume I don’t think I could ever get tired of. My obsession with the brand started after I tried their hair oils and thought, “I always want to smell like this!” I was told that the Rose Hair and Body Oil scent was also bottled up into this lovely perfume, and I did not hesitate to purchase it. This is a fresh floral perfume with key notes of rose, champagne, and bergamot. The scent just envelopes you with a blanket made of pink rose petals, and the bottle itself is simple yet elegant. I find it mixes well with my personal scent, and my man agrees it smells lovely. This sleek 50 mL bottle costs $72, not the most money I’ve ever spent on a perfume. The mister creates a nice fine mist that you can apply to any part of the body without it being too concentrated in one spot. I hope you all enjoy this weekend! Do you prefer floral, woody, or fruity perfumes? 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

MOTD 💙
today’s look is pretty standard for me! the fenty foundation, ouai perfume, and urban decay eyeliner happen almost everyday. two products that i haven’t reviewed yet are: MAC - MAC Powder Blush in ‘sweet as cocoa’ - this was my first favorite blush! i have worn this for years. it’s a satin brown blush with a slight pink/plum tone. mac powder blushes are very pigmented and they have a wide shade range & good staying power, so i would definitely recommend finding a shade that flatters your skin tone. Glossier. - Colorslide Technogel Eye Pencil in ‘early girl’ - i raved about the dark blue shade from this line in a previous post. this shade is a powder/baby blue, so i mostly use it for under eye and inner eye. it’s a fun summery color that i haven’t used as much, but i’m going to pull it more into rotation. these liners are soooo creamy and easy to use. i am still sampling the fenty mascara and will give it a few days of wear before making a final assessment.

Dry shampoo battle... who wins?
These are the 2 dry shampoos I have in my collection. I reach for one way more than the other so I just want to go over both of them! OUAI - Super Dry Shampoo This dry shampoo has the typical ouai scent which I do like. It’s an aerosol can like most dry shampoos tend to be. When I spray this, it does give my dark hair chalky roots. Usually I can get it to fade by rubbing it in a little bit. It does an okay job absorbing oil. It works on 2-3 day hair but beyond that it’s useless. I care more about my hair looking good than smelling good so I don’t totally love it. Plus it was pretty pricey overall. It says 4.5oz but it does not seem like that much. I don’t use this often and it’s running very low. Overall I would not purchase again. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo I actually love this dry shampoo. It’s non aerosol so it’s better for the environment and less harsh on your hair too. You shake the bottle and squeeze it onto your hair. Application can be a bit uneven but the powder is super light so you can fluff it around to cover everywhere. It leaves a big white cast but when you fluff it out, is goes away and leaves your hair looking voluminous. It absorbs oil so well and makes my 5-6 day hair look fresh and clean! The scent is light and fresh too. This is only 1.7 oz but it seems to be lasting forever and I use it multiple times a week tbh! I will probably purchase this again because it works so well for me

First ever non-aerosol dry shampoo.. I’m in love
I can’t believe I never noticed the lack of dry shampoo is in non aerosol cans?! How awful for the environment and for my lungs. I didn’t know how big of a difference a different style packaging, would make! I have been completely converted to this adorable squeeze tube style dry shampoo! The Ouai super dry shampoo: claims to be super absorbent and to instantly soak up oil to revive the scalp. Briogeo scalp revival charcoal + biotin dry shampoo: claims to be a unique charcoal infused dry shampoo that detoxifies, cleanses, and balances the scalp for optimal health. My scalp is extremely dry and itchy ALL THE TIME. My roots still manage to get very oily after a few days and I need a good dry shampoo to rescue me. The thing with dry shampoos is that they can be very drying and leave a lot of build up in your hair, causing itchiness. I have finally met my perfect match, a dry shampoo that does the job but also leaves your scalp more balanced and soothed, hi briogeo! I personally find, that using the ouai dry shampoo, is such a pain! The aerosol can is extremely powerful and deposits way too much product on my roots, leaving a white film. I also find the scent to be overpowering along with the extremely dry finish it leaves on your roots. It’s just too much! Enter the briogeo dry shampoo, with squeeze tube packaging, that makes it so easy to use the perfect amount of product. You squeeze the product “puffing” it directly into your roots. The scent is very subtle and smells like tea tree. It also leaves my hair perfectly clean without the white cast. I honestly only want to recommend the briogeo one, but I know that many people need HEAVY DUTY oil control when they’re reaching for a dry shampoo. In that case, I would recommend the ouai one. Like many beauty items, it comes down to personal preference! Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo OUAI - Super Dry Shampoo

Take a chill pill! After a ver
Take a chill pill! After a very looooong, heavy week I can’t think of a better idea than a long soak with The Ouai Chill Pills. These have a beautiful jasmine and rose scent but it is quite strong imo so I prefer to use 1/2 tablet at a time. It also makes the price ($30 for 6 tablets) somewhat digestible because $5 a pop is insane for baking soda, corn starch, a few oils and perfume! While I wasn’t personally impressed enough to repurchase, they definitely have a luxe feel to them that any bath lover would enjoy (especially after a rough week). The scent fills the space and lingers on the skin which does feel nice and soft after use. It’s definitely a mood. 🛁 OUAI - Chill Pills
