✨ Battle of the Eye Makeup Removers ✨
I typically wear makeup everyday and remove it with a cleansing balm, but got both of these free as gift with purchases so decided to give them a try! I thought I’d compare to see if they’re worth it to splurge or save. . CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Makeup Remover For Lids, Lashes & Lips Key Ingredients: Fragrance-free . Scent: None . Consistency/Texture: Oily Liquid . Price: $9.50 for 1.7 fl oz OR $19.50 for 4.2 fl oz . Experience: It takes off the majority of my eye makeup, except for the ones that I typically have a difficult time removing. It does take a little bit more product and effort to fully remove eyeliner and mascara, but it works better doing this as a first step to remove my eye makeup and then using my cleansing balm to remove the oily residue and other eye makeup it couldn’t get off. It leaves behind an oily residue, but it easily washes away when you use your second cleanse. It doesn’t sting too badly when I get it in my eyes or cause a film on my eyes. . Repurchase/Recommend: I would if it was on sale, but I’d run through this too fast to justify purchasing the full size. They also aren’t cruelty free, which is something I support. . NYX - Eye & Lip Makeup Remover Key Ingredients: Infused with orange, papaya, rice, and soy extracts . Scent: None . Consistency/Texture: Oily Liquid . Price: $8 for 2.8 fl oz . Experience: This is the easiest eye makeup remover I’ve ever used. It easily lifts away eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara. I do have somewhat of an issue with some mascaras that are hard to remove in the first place (that I need to cleanse again with soap whenever I use a cleansing balm by itself). I love using this before my cleansing balm to effortlessly remove mascara so I don’t get the typical hassle of trying to rub the cleansing balm into my eyes. This doesn’t sting my eyes whenever some accidentally gets in. I put this on my reusable cotton pads and let it sit on my eyelid/lashes for 30ish seconds to a minute to loosen the products and then gently swipe away. It does take a good amount of product, but I don’t mind since it’s so budget-friendly. . Repurchase/Recommend: Yes, it’s so cheap and NYX has sales or gift with purchases often. The brand is also cruelty free! It’s the best eye makeup remover I’ve tried. I will definitely purchase! . Overall: I definitely see myself purchasing the NYX remover again because it works the same, if not better, than the Clinique one!

Clinique Take the Day Off
*Please excuse the 🦩 through the photos, especially in the last photo 😅* This is a product for removing makeup, in which I really love to use The one in the bottle is obviously a liquid remover, but to ‘activate’ it, just shake it and place it on a cotton ball and you are good to go :) For the smaller jar, just take a little in your fingertips and apply as if you are washing your face with a cleanser and just rinse it off afterwards If needed, I am always here to answer questions 💕

NEW IN: my skin care ritual just got fancy
ULTA had ELEMIS - Pro-Collagen Perfect Partners on sale and I just had to guys. I love Elemis products and have been dying to try these two products. I love cleansing balms. They are the best thing to remove waterproof makeup without stinging and irritating your eyes. Yes, micellar water works as well but I usually use it after to make sure everything is off . This cleansing balm is so luxurious and oh my word the smell is absolutely divine. The balm is based with rose and mimosa waxes and are infused with elderberry, starflower and optimega oils and supercharged with anti-aging algae, padina pavonica— a Mediterranean algae with proven outstanding anti-aging benefits. Some of my favorites are: CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm (works well but they test on animals) BANILA CO - Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm Original Then I met you - Living Cleansing Balm After cleansing, I follow up with my new favorite retinol alternative ingredient, Baluchiol in ACURE - Radically Rejuvenating Dual Phase Bakuchiol Serum . I use this twice a day before moisturizing for that extra bit of moisture and protection from free radicals. I have to be honest, I have not tried the cream. I’m sure it is divine but I’m currently half way through two creams and it seemed wasteful to open this one... and I wouldn’t really be giving it a good test run if I’m still using the others right!? I will update in a later post. What other cleansing balm should I try? Thank you. Be Kind, Stay Beautiful **Elemis, Banila Co, Then I met you are all 🐰cruelty free.

Dirty Dozen Chemicals in my Skincare
I want to move towards a clean skincare routine. My current products were not purchased with clean skincare in mind, but I want to know how many of the Dirty Dozen chemicals are in my skincare. See my previous clean skincare posts for more details. Dirty Dozen Chemicals to Avoid: 1. Coal Tar Dyes 2. DEA / MEA / TEA 3. Phthalates / Parfum / fragrence 4. Formaldehyde releasing perservatives 5. Parabens 6. PEG compounds 7. Petrolatum 8. Siloxanes 9. Sulfates 10. Triclosan 11. Talc 12. Hydroquinone A quick summary, almost every product contains PEGs! PEGs (polyethylene glycols) are petroleum-based compounds that are widely used in cosmetics as thickeners, solvents, softeners, and moisture-carriers. Depending on manufacturing processes, PEGs may be contaminated with measurable amounts of ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane, known human carcinogens. 1,4-dioxane can be removed from cosmetics during the manufacturing process by vacuum stripping, but there is no easy way for consumers to know whether products containing PEGs have undergone this process. Here’s what’s in my current products: The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG ✅ clean The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil ✅ clean CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel ❌ contains paraffin ❌contains Petrolatum (Also contains dyes) Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatment ✅ clean of dirty dozen SUNDAY RILEY - Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment ❌ contains PEG-100, PEG-75 CLINIQUE - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm ❌contains PEGs CLINIQUE - All About Eyes ❌contains PEGs ❌contains Petrolatum CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge 72-Hour Auto-Replenishing Hydrator ❌ contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate ❌contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) CLINIQUE - Jumbo Liquid Facial Soap Oily Skin Formula ❌contains sulfates ❌contains PEGs CLINIQUE - Smart Custom-Repair Serum ❌contains PEGs (Also contains dyes) VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum ✅ clean from dirty dozen I’m new to reading labels, so if I’ve missed something let me know! What’s in your skincare?

Combine the two??
I received the... #dermedicine - weightless face moisturizer [products]#[ThreeStars] in an Ipsy box a while back. From the start, I was never a fan of this product, however I kept using it anyway. As part of my skincare routine, I used this several occasions before continuing on to preparing for my makeup and it always made a mess of things. It would leave a white film and then my primer just moved it around, needless to say it just made doing my makeup a not so fun experience. I recently purchased... CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ and remembered why I used to love it! When I was either a preteen or teen, my stepmother bought me my first skincare set which was by Clinique and had the bar soap, the toner and this moisturizer. Over the years, I had actually moved on and tried different products and forgotten all about that first set. Well I suddenly remembered it and decided to purchase again. For what ever reason and not paying attention to what I had done, I put a small amount of each in my hands and started mixing the two together when I snapped back to reality and decided why not. I applied to combined products and then continued on to my primer and makeup. This was a game changer! Now I can finish off this terrible spf moisturizer and not feel rushed to replace it with something better.

This Months Empties !! Dec 2020
The GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water is so much better over the original, it’s a lot less drying and sensitizing. great for dry & sensitive skin. I wish the bottles actually came in a bigger size because I feel like I go through these so quickly 😭 I like to shake my micellar water before squeezing onto a cotton pad, it actually gets a little more soapy and saves you more product that way. In all, I like this product and makes taking off makeup much easier without adding any sensitivity to my skin. Would buy again. PALMER'S - Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Cleansing Oil Face did brighten and make my skin look more radiant, gently removed makeup, and helped get up some surface level plugs!! I wish this was thicker or more viscous so that it could further penetrate the skin and draw out more impurities. Though I do like this product and it does what the label says it does, I would prefer to buy a thicker oil cleanser. I really like a lot of Clinique’s Moisturizers, but I usually don’t want to pay full price, so i really like going for the minis that this brand has available. TheCLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ is usually my go to under makeup, on cold days or on the go. it has really helped with barrier repair & is dry combo & sensitive skin friendly!!🧖🏾‍♀️ it slips on easy, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy or oily feeling. no parabens, sulfates, denatured alcohol or fragrance. 🌱Will definitely stock up on some more soon 🧴

My Skincare Routine to Fix Acne-Prone Skin
I have been struggling with breakouts ever since I was a little kid. Throughout the years, I have developed a skincare routine that works well for when I am breaking out. I am sure that even those with perfect skin can sometimes get a pimple or two on their faces, and that requires a change from their usual skincare routine to help reduce the breakouts. I have extremely oily skin, and that causes a lot of sebum buildup on my face. The oils can get mixed up with the dirt and dead skin cells on the surface of my face, clogging my pores and ending up breaking me out. This left me with a lot of acne scars all over the face and uneven skin texture. My breakouts are often triggered by staying up late, hormonal imbalance during my period, or eating unhealthy foods. Skincare Routine Step One: Cleanse well using La Roche-Posay Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Anti-Acne Cleanser $20 / 200 ml LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel Cleanser for Oily Skin I always come back to this cleanser when I am breaking out because it cleanses well and is very mild. It is in a gel texture that foams up nicely when in contact with water. After using it, my face feels clean and soft, and all the oils and dirt are wiped away without overdrying my skin.  This product contains thermal spring water that softens, soothes, and protects the skin, and Zinc PCA that helps regulate sebum production. I did realize that my skin becomes less oily throughout the day if I use this cleanser consistently for a month. I also noticed fewer blackheads. I am happy with the price because of its effectiveness in reducing breakouts and the amount of product that could last me for weeks. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family and repurchase this product when I am having breakouts again. Step Two: Tone and soothe the skin using Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray $20 / 300 ml Avène - Thermal Spring Water Spray This face mist is super effective in calming the skin. My face immediately feels refreshed and less red whenever I use it. My skin often feels irritated, itchy, and painful when I am breaking out, so I like to use this face mist after cleansing to tone and soothe my skin. It also contains thermal spring water that soothes and calms sensitive skin. It is very affordable considering its big size. Once again, I would highly recommend people with any skin type to give it a try, and you will notice a big improvement in your skin condition. Step Three: Hydrate using Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly Anti-Pollution $70 / 200 ml CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly  I like to use this moisturizer when I am experiencing breakouts because of its incredibly lightweight water jelly textures and its anti-pollution aspect. As I mentioned before, my pimples usually form from the mix of dirt and oils on my face. This moisturizer has clean shield technology that locks in moisture for the skin while filtering out the bad stuff from the environment. The clean shield technology is formulated with a moisture barrier blend of sunflower seed cake, barley extract, and cucumber fruit extract. The product also contains hyaluronic acid which acts as a natural moisture humectant.   I noticed that my skin becomes less irritable and breaks out less when I started using this product despite the bad air quality outside. There is definitely less dirt blocking my pores, and the product’s lightweight texture feels very refreshing on the skin. It did not suffocate my oily skin and gets absorbed into the skin quickly. It claims to strengthen the skin’s moisture barrier and improve resiliency. Its oil-free formula leaves a non-sticky finish on my face, which I really like, and leaves no residue. My skin feels smooth, strong, and healthy with a pure, clean glow.

Effective Quick 3-Step Morning Routine
Skincare should be fuss-free, effective and simple! We all have those days where we just want to get out of bed, do a quick morning skincare routine and jump straight into the day’s activities. This is my fuss-free and effective skincare routine to prep my combination skin for the day ahead. A cleansed face is the foundation to great skin and I start the routine with Simple Kind to Skin Moisturizing Facial Wash. Readily available in drugstores, the clean and paraben-free cleanser is suitable for daily use to provide a gentle yet thorough cleanse while maintaining skin's natural barrier. I generally lean towards a gentle cleanser in the morning and this is perfect. The creamy formula is infused with Bisabolol, from chamomile, known to soothe and calm skin along with Pro-Vitamin B5 and Vitamin E. It works into a gentle lather which allows my skin to feel clean still. However, do note that the cleanser contains sodium laureth sulfate. Skip it if you tend to get clogged pores or acne breakouts easily. US$4.89 for 5oz Simple - Refreshing Facial Wash Gel Next, I follow-up with a moisturizer to balance my skin. For quick mornings, I use Clinque’s lightweight water-jelly face moisturizer to deliver hydration repair plus pollution protection. Suitable for all skin types, the unique jelly moisturizer is easy to apply all over the skin quickly without leaving a sticky residue. My skin feels smooth, strong and healthy with a pure, clean glow. US$29.50 for 125ml. Pictured here is a 15ml tube. CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly The last step of my quick routine is sunscreen! I cannot start my day without it. It is absolutely vital to apply sunscreen, even if you are staying indoors all day. My pick is Neutrogena’s Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen Lotion - SPF 55. The broad spectrum sunscreen lotion goes on easily and absorbs quickly for an invisible, weightless feel. It leaves zero ashy or white cast which I really like. The lightweight formula is oxybenzone-free and made with Helioplex, which provides superior sun protection against UVA/UVB rays. US$15.99 for 8oz Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen SPF 55

Pleasantly surprised by this money sucker!
Let me just start by saying that I have been looking at this beauty basically since it came out but never actually bought it because of how obnoxiously expensive it is. The only reason I did this month is because ulta was having a big Black Friday sale and I racked up $10 in points, scoring this product for half off! It has a very interesting smell but now that I’ve been using it for a month, I’ve gotten used to it. It’s very thick and creamy so you barely need any to cover your whole face. They suggest you keep it on your face for 5-20 minutes. I like to keep clay masks on longer usually but this one dries in about 5 minutes which is probably why their suggested time is so short. When you take it off, you can immediately see that your skin looks smoother and pores look smaller! This usually means that the product is drying your face so I top it with either my favorite THE BODY SHOP - Jumbo Tea Tree Oil (sorry Hyram I tried to stop for a little and my skin didn’t like it) and CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator which is on the more expensive side but hydrates the CRAP out of my skin and is so worth it. I don’t normally like clay masks because I do have combination skin and it tends to make me breakout more but this one is like a different breed!! Verdict: YES!!!!! 💖💖💖💖 one of the best clay masks I’ve used. Buy it!!!

Acne skin 101
Well, I've already wrote a post about my Acne experience. My skincare routine and products...Acne seems like a never-ending battle, doesn't it?  Though products for "acne-prone skin" are currently availaMust Must Muble in the market, skincare products cannot be one-size-fits-all magic potions. It is important to know and understand  1. what type of skin(Dry/ Combination/ Normal/ Oily/ Sensitive)  2. what type of your acne(Hormonal Acne/ Whiteheads/ Papules/ Pustules/ Cystic Acne/ Blackheads/ Blind Pimples) you’re working with; it’s the most important step in discovering an effective way to take care of your skin. Today, I still wanna talk about skincare routine with you guys, cuz no matter what type of acne skin you have, the principles of acne skincare should be the same. I'll add the products I love to use below too. 🖤Skin Care Routine For Acne Prone Skin🖤 Step 1 - Cleanse away the impurities with a cleanser (Morning And Night) ● LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin ● philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser Step 2 - Toner (Morning And Night) ● FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner Step 3 - Moisturize (Morning And Night) ● FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya ● CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator Step 4 - Protect with SPF (Morning and evening) ● elta md SKINCARE - UV Clear Broad Spectrum SPF 46 ● CLINIQUE - Pep-Start Daily UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Step 5 - Treatment Product (night) ● LA ROCHE-POSAY - Cicaplast Baume B5 Soothing Repairing Balm ● Differin Gel Adapalene Gel 0.1% Acne Treatment Remember, with acne, less is more. Using too many topical products will make your skin dry and irritate it. Also, acne is not something that will go away overnight. It’s a process which requires immense patience. Give your skin ample time to adjust to the skin care routine for acne prone skin before you see results. When in doubt please make an appointment with your dermatologist who can help you determine what your skin needs. 🖤Other Tips🖤 ● Keep your hands off your face ● Stay out of the sun as much as possible ● Exercise daily ● Learn to be less stressed ● Hydrate yourself ● Follow a healthy diet ● Don't pick or pop your pimples ● Change your sheets at least weekly Great skin doesn’t revolve around genetics alone, your daily habits play a significant role in what you see in the mirror. Follow a healthy diet, drink plenty of water, get enough sleep and use the right products as per your skin type.... There’s no instant fix; you need patience and time to reap the benefits. Sharing is caring. 💕

Clinique Acne Products That Are Worth Buying!
Part 3 of my skincare routine posts! This one is all about the Clinique products I use. I’m fully convinced these products have stopped/limited any acne. ✨CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion - I use this in both my morning and night routine after cleansing (check out previous post for my cleansers). It’s so nice and doesn’t irritate my skin at all! I believe this is in combo with my other products is helping lighten acne scars too. All I do is shake the bottle to mix the product, then apply to a cotton ball or pad and wipe on the face. I focus this more on areas where my acne usually pops up. Side note: I recently bought reusable cotton pads and this works great with them! ✨CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel - I also use this product for both day and night routines. I apply it after the clarifying lotion and usually let it sit for a few minutes before doing my next steps. I LOVE this stuff. It can be thinly applied on the whole face or just target certain areas (which is what I do). A little goes a long way so I only need 1-2 drops of this. The formula is strong and works great without bothering my skin or making it incredibly dry. It’s a bit pricey for the size, but trust me it’s worth it (and it lasts longer than you think!). For me personally, I found this works better than any benzoyl peroxide product. ✨CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel - My skin is combo but it’s highly dependent on the season too. Winter I’m more dry, summer I’m more oily. This moisturizer is definitely a fav, perfect for summer! It soaks in and doesn’t sit on the face, so I’m not left with any oily residue. I use this only in the morning as I prefer a thicker, richer cream for night. Right now it’s winter here so I do have to use my old favorite Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydroboost Water Gel Moisturizer for certain super dry areas on my face (nose and sides of mouth), then I go over my whole face with the Clinique gel. **I highly recommend looking into their complete moisturizer line, they have so many ways to customize for your skin type.** Overall I recommend all these Clinique products! It’s a great brand that can cater to so many skin types.

Review of Clinique’s clearing gel
I’ve decided to do a multi-part post where I review and breakdown the products in my everyday skincare routine (see first post for routine). This is Part 1! The spot treatment I’ve been using is CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel This has been a true game changer, especially with my hormonal acne. I bought this through Ulta when they had a special sale on Clinique products. I will admit when I purchased this I didn’t look at the size. It’s SMALL, like fits in my palm, mini, little bottle and it’s not necessarily cheap. But since I got it on “sale” I decided to still try it. I actually love the formulation and don’t mind the small packaging now (super easily to travel with!!), you also only need a very small amount. It’s a clear gel liquid that dries fast. I apply it only to problem areas (cheeks, jaw, upper forehead)/any new arising acne. I apply this after cleansing and use it in my my morning and night routine. It has a mild tingly/tight sensation when the skin is first soaking it in, but it isn’t uncomfortable at all. There’s a slight shine left on the skin after soaking in, but I apply my serums and moisturizer after this so it goes away. Since using this in addition to my usual routine my breakouts are super minimal and can be quickly and easily stopped in their tracks. I was getting terrible hormonal acne on my cheeks and jaw but I haven’t since using this! I 100% recommend to anyone looking for a better spot treatment. It’s well worth it! **Previously I used MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion this stuff worked ok at first but I’d have to apply it every night and it would get on my pillow and really dry out my skin/make me itchy. Eventually I felt it was only drying my skin out and no longer providing any benefits.

Does the Clinique Acne Solutions Cleanser work?
This is my THIRD bottle of the CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Cleansing Foam 😂😂 Honestly, at first you don’t see results like almost any other skin care product. You HAVE to keep using it. PROS It instantly waters down your makeup if you use it as a makeup remover Leaves you feeling fresh and clean It has acne medication Your pimples will go away one way or another because it has a cycle soooooo honestly I feel that this product HELPS you NOT get acne (yeah it may get rid of that pimple in the middle of the forehead, but, at the same time, you don’t know if it was your skin the one that actually cleared it up or if it was the product) CONS You have to buy the CLINIQUE - Acne Solutions Clarifying Lotion or the CLINIQUE - Clarifying Lotion 3 to get the BEST results. Which means you have to spend more. Because it’s a foaming cleanser, if you have a big face like me, you will use like around 6 pumps to clean your face. Which means the cleanser won’t last long.

Alcohols in skincare; the good, bad, and ugly
Something I’ve encountered a lot lately at work is misinformation about alcohol in skincare. It’s definitely a myth that all alcohol is bad alcohol. I want to shed a little bit of light on bad alcohols and good alcohols in skincare. The Bad: The most common bad alcohol you’ll encounter in skincare is denatured alcohol. If you see this in the first few ingredients... run! The CLINIQUE - Clarifying Lotion 3 is an example of this as it is the second ingredient! *in most cases the higher up something is on the ingredient list the more concentrated it is* You may think you’re seeing instant results with this (especially if you have oily skin) but what it’s really doing is stripping your skin and preventing it from preforming it’s natural functions. This will cause dryness, possible irritation, and will wreck your moisture barrier over time. Another example of this ingredient is the exuviance - Resurfacing Glycolic Wash. More examples of bad alcohols in skincare are isopropyl alcohol, methanol, SD alcohol, and ethanol. If you see these just put the product down, it’s not worth it. The Good: Now at this point you might be thinking that all alcohol is bad in skincare but that’s totally not the case!! There are actually really good alcohols that can really benefit your skin. These are considered fatty alcohols. They help draw in and hold moisture. The most common ones you’ll see are cetyl alcohol, stearyl alcohol, glycol, and cetearyl alcohol. A HUGE favorite of mine lately has been the FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Instant Oatmeal Mask which includes cetyl alcohol, glycol, and cetearyl alcohol. My skin has been really going through it lately with wearing my mask and I noticed how it felt very dry and irritated. I immediately went out and purchased this mask to help soothe (it also contains colloidal oatmeal) and hydrate my skin. It has a thicker, cream consistency with those oatmeal chunks all throughout. When I say this nourished, soothed, and hydrated my skin better than anything I’ve ever used I really mean it. This mask has been a blessing. The fatty alcohols help draw in that moisture and lock it in making it perfect for those with all skin types (but especially dry and combo). It also doesn’t contain any dyes or fragrances making it perfect for sensitive skin. So long story short not all alcohols are bad alcohols. You just have to be careful and read the label to see what’s really in a product. If anyone has any questions please let me know 🖤

Inspired by Caroline Hirons
Happy New Year! In December I read Caroline Hiron’s book “Skincare a No NonSense Guide”. See earlier post for a review (I definitely recommend the read!). In her book she lays out the basics for creating a skincare routine. I am 35 with dry, normal skin. My concerns are preventing fine lines & wrinkles, dullness, dark circles, and hyperpigmentation. Here’s her basics for an AM Routine: 1. Cleanse A recent trend has been that you don’t need to wash your face in the morning. Instead you should look for a gentle cleanser. She also suggests staying away from foaming cleanser (these contain Sulfates) CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Liquid Facial Soap I bought this Jumbo Clinique Facial Soap on sale in the summer and I’m still slowly working through it. It is gentle. However, after starting my clean skincare journey I found it has sulfates (second ingredient), TEA, and PEGs. I will swap for a “clean” soap when I finish it. (See my clean skincare posts for more info) 2. Exfoliate Caroline recommends using toners to exfoliate. Buy two acids a gentler and a stronger and rotate them. I’ve learned I like serums better for exfoliating, but I have started rotating two Pixi toners (see post for longer review) pixi - Glow Tonic pixi - Milky Tonic 3. Spray Mist She suggests to look for a mist with glyercin or hyalonic acid or rose water. Or use a hydrating toner I’ve been using The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 for this step. A very affordable hyaluronic acid that won an Allure Beauty Award. Do you use a facial mist? What do you recommend? 4. Eye cream Many people say eye cream should be after serums & moisturizer, but says it should be first to act as a barrier for the eye area. The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG See my previous post for full review. I’ve been using this to target my dark circles, but haven’t noticed much difference. 5. Serums / oils This step is where you should target your concerns (i.e., hyperpigmentation). I love Vitamin C serum for the AM. VERSED - STROKE OF BRILLIANCE Brightening Serum This is a great drugstore Vitamin C serum. I’ve noticed my skin is brighter and more radiant! See earlier post for more info. 6. Moisturize CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Hydrating Lotion I got this as a reward from Clinique and really like it for a daytime moisturizer. If you are a fan of their Moisture Surge line you will like this. It leaves my skin feeling very hydrated. With this concentrate you use less and it absorbs easily quicker. But from a “clean” beauty perspective it contains dyes. 7. SPF And finally always SPF. ICLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Sheertint Hydrator Broad Spectrum SPF 25 This is a great BB cream with SPF, light coverage, and moisturizing This routine leaves me feeling great even without putting on anymore make-up

Day 4 of Beauty - Clinique Facial Soap 🧼
Today in my Macy’s 25 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar I was pleased to find a mini size of Clinique’s Liquid Facial Soap for Oily Skin. I’ve used this in the past and found it really great for my combination skin. It’s refreshing. It feels great and light on my skin without drying it out. These days I use a double cleanse, but this will be perfect for traveling! CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Liquid Facial Soap

The 3-Step Clinique Routine
📅 april 2020. the lockdown. following my mom's advice, I ordered the Clinique products. 🔊 you have to know your skin type before buying it, especially the CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Clarifying Lotion 2 there are 4 of them (number on the bottle) type 1: for very dry to dry skin type 2: for dry combination skin (mine ✌🏾) type 3: for combination oily skin type 4: for oily skin 🔔 for the liquid facial soap, there are 2: 🍬 mild: for dry combination (mine ✌🏾) CLINIQUE - Jumbo Liquid Facial Soap Mild 🍬 oily: for combination oily to oily skin. you can also go for the CLINIQUE - Extra Gentle Cleansing Foam 💗 for the last step, moisturizing, there are 2 as well: CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ for sensible skin. it's more creamy and soft (mine ✌🏾) CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gelfor oily skin. 🕯 here are the steps I followed: 1. clean with CLINIQUE - Jumbo Liquid Facial Soap Mild 2A. exfoliate with CLINIQUE - CLINIQUE Clarifying Lotion 2 but only once or twice a week. the denatured alcohol leaves this cool feeling but can be harsh on the skin. as Hyram said, exfoliating your skin too often is gonna produce the opposite effect and leave your skin irritated because you stripped it off its natural oils. 2B. then I used FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Wild Oat Hydrating Toner every day. it's so soft. but be careful bc it's really liquid. 3. moisturize with CLINIQUE - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ which is recommended for sensitive & combination skin. 😘 thanks for reading. 😎 hyram's yt channel : https://www.youtube.com/c/Hyram

CLINIQUE - Moisture Surge Eye 96-Hour Hydro-Filler Concentrate Clinique's Moisture Surge Eye 96-Hour Hydro Filler Concentrate is an ultralight, cushiony water-gel that helps eye-area skin replenish its own moisture for a full 96 hours of intense, crease-plumping hydration. For all skin types. Instantly re-floods, tightens and brightens skin. Hydrates delicate eye area for 96 hours of moisture using auto-replenishing lipid-sphere technology. Key Ingredients/Technology: * Auto-Replenishing Lipid-Sphere Technology with pure aloe butter helps rebuild skin's lipid barrier to minimize moisture loss while encapsulated antioxidants break the cycle of environmental stress that can lead to premature aging Clinique Clean Philosophy: * No parabens * No phthalates * No fragrance * Just happy skin This product works exactly for what it is intended for, MOISTURIZING under eyes! This time of year I often suffer from crazy eye allergies and I woke up with flakey under eyes but this helped my under-eyes within 2 days, anyone who is suffering from something similar I highly recommend! Also this product didn't irritate my already irritated eyes, it just soothes them!
