Trending Skincare Super Ingredients
I’ll start out by telling you a bit about my skin; it’s sensitive and normal-dry depending on the season. I also have rosacea on my cheeks. I am always looking for skincare that hydrates, soothes, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I am 31 years old and have just recently started adding some anti-aging products into my routine, though I can thankfully say I don’t have many signs of aging yet🤞🏻 Today I’m going to tell you about some skincare “super ingredients” that you might have been hearing about because they have become very popular in the skincare world. Ashwaganda - ashwaganda is an ancient medicinal herb that is classified as an adaptogen, which means it can help your body manage stress. In skincare, and this YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi in particular, it is said to help reduce visible signs of fatigue. This moisturizer is targeted for people with dry, sensitive, and reactive skin. the texture of this is lovely, it’s not too heavy but feels incredibly hydrating on the skin. it has very little to no smell, which I really appreciate it definitely helps me with redness and dryness I would for sure repurchase this Niacinamide - niacinimide is an essential nutrient that can help build proteins in the skin and lock in moisture to prevent environmental damage. The CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum The Brightening Solution and CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Moisturizer with Niacinamide both contain niacinimide and claim to even the skin tone and give the skin a glowing appearance. the texture of both of these products is lightweight; the serum is a milky consistency and the moisturizer is a gel-cream. I wish that the moisturizer was a little more hydrating; I can’t really use it once the weather gets cold because it’s just not hydrating enough for me both of these products are quite strongly scented, some may find it overpowering I feel like they both make a difference in the overall appearance of my skin. They definitely help to brighten and even out my skin. I’m unsure if I would repurchase the moisturizer, but would repurchase the serum Retinol - retinol supports natural collagen production in the skin, nurtures the skin, and diminishes the look of fine lines and wrinkles. This FIRST AID BEAUTY - FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serum is said to be for beginner retinol users and for those with sensitive skin. There are different strengths of retinol and it is advised that you work your way up to a higher concentration as your skin adjusts. Retinol has a bit of a bad reputation in some ways because it is a very aggressive ingredient but when used properly, it can be extremely beneficial and effective. the texture isn’t overly thick and it sinks into the skin quickly unscented too new to my routine to say if I’d repurchase yet #CheriePartner

My Favourite Serums✨
My skin is sensitive, redness-prone, normal-dry depending on the season, and I have some rosacea on my cheeks. These 4 serums have made a big difference in the texture and overall appearance + health of my skin. I’m going to tell you a little bit about each of them below! • SKINCEUTICALS - Serum 10 Aox+ - I’m sure you’ve heard of the cult favourite Skinceuticals vitamin c serum and this version is just as effective, but for sensitive skin. It has a water-like consistency and sinks into the skin right away. I have definitely found that this has helped to brighten and even my skin tone. I really love this vitamin c and would definitely recommend it (even though it’s pricey). • Corpa Flora - Antidote 03 - Redness Relief - this serum has more of an oil-like consistency and a light floral scent to it that I just love. I have found that when I am consistent with this serum it definitely decreases the redness I have in my cheeks due to rosacea. I typically mix a pump of this with a pump of their Corpa Flora - Antidote HB5 Hydration and it’s the perfect hydrating + soothing cocktail! For anyone with sensitive, redness-prone skin like me, this duo is a must have to combat that! • Allies of Skin - Mandelic Pigmentation Corrector Night Serum - I didn’t know what to expect from this serum but it has blown me away. I often have texture on my cheeks and also get hormonal breakouts and this serum does an amazing job at fighting both of them. I always notice a difference in my skin the next morning when I use this at night! My favourite way to use it is to mix a pump of this with a pump of the Allies of Skin - Triple Hyaluronic Antioxidant Hydration Serum (if you can’t tell, I love mixing serums to create the perfect skincare concoction). Both of these products are pricey, if you’re going to splurge on one, make it the Mandelic! • CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum The Brightening Solution - this one is a favourite in the skincare world and for good reason. The overall brightening and tone-correcting effect this serum has is amazing. I love the clean scent it has and the milky, smooth texture. It sinks into the skin quickly and isn’t sticky or tacky. I wouldn’t say this is a must-have compared to the others listed here, but if you’re a product junkie like me it’s definitely worth having in your collection. #CheriePartner

My Lazy Girl Makeup Routine
This routine is my go-to, everyday, makeup routine that takes less than 10 minutes. As you can see in my before photo, I have some redness and a couple of small breakouts. Typically what I focus on with my quick makeup routine is to even out my skin tone, add a bit of colour, and make my super blonde lashes & brows visible😆 1. First things first, I cleanse my skin with a micellar water and moisturize. If I have more time to get ready, I’ll go in with serums and treatments, but when I’m in a hurry I stick to basic skincare. 2. I always apply spf, and this SKINCEUTICALS - Physical Fusion Uv Defense SPF 50 is my absolute favourite. It’s tinted and gives such a nice healthy glow to the skin (it’s not shimmery or sparkly at all). 3. Next, I apply my FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick (in the shade Linen) under my eyes, around my nose, and on my chin to help cover up some redness. This formula is honestly not my favourite for concealer, it’s quite dry and sometimes hard to blend but I’m just trying to use it up. I also have the highlight and contour shades and I do not like the highlight at all but don’t mind the contour shade (again, they’re both very dry). 4. Then I go over my entire face with my HALEYS - Re:Cover Pressed Powder Foundation (in shade 2.15) I just love this stuff. I’m a big fan of powder foundations in general because I find them so quick and easy to use. This formula melts right into my skin and I don’t find it to be drying at all on me. It has great coverage and doesn’t appear to be caky or too powdery on my skin. 5. I love a multi-use product for saving time and this cocokind - Chagaglo Bronze Highlighter is just that. I use a little bit of it on my cheeks to warm up my face and also dab it on my eyelids to add a little bronzy shimmer. It’s creamy and blends out well but doesn’t slide all over the place - love this one! 6. Next I added a bit of the ILIA - Color Haze Multi-Use Pigment to my cheeks and lips, I have the shade Before Today and it’s a beautiful petal pink. 7. Now it’s time for brows and I always use my essence - Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara (in shade 03) this stuff is SO GOOD and it’s like $3, I always purchase multiples at a time so I never run out. This one is the perfect shade for me and gives my brows great definition, hold, and colour. 8. Next up - lashes. I just started using this HONEST - Extreme Length Mascara + Lash Primer and it’s awesome! It has a primer on one end and the mascara on the other. I’m super impressed with the length it gives my lashes and the formula is very black. 9. My last step is spritzing my face with my CAUDALIE - CAUDALIE Beauty Elixir , this is a step that I never miss. I feel like it really blends everything together and makes it look much more natural. #CheriePartner

My Caudalie Favorites
Wanted to show some love for one of my favorite brands during today’s post! When I first got into skincare, Caudalie was always a brand I wanted to try. They focus on clean, sustainable skincare that leaves your skin smooth and glowing! ⁣ ⁣ My two favorite products from them are the CAUDALIE - CAUDALIE Beauty Elixir and the CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Brightening Moisturizer with Niacinamide ! Both are a little on the pricier side for me but they are lasting forever! When I use them in the morning it gives my skin that lit from within glow! I’ve found that some people love their products and for others, they’re just meh.

Sephora favorites samples worth it? 👀✨
When I saw this Sephora favorites bag, I really wanted to get it for the ren body serum and the caudalie gel cleanser. I debated if it was even worth it, I bit the bullet and got it. I’ve got to say these are worth it. It’s great that it includes a 15% off code for each item. The caudalie purifying gel cleanser is 1oz. The full size is $28 for 5oz so it comes out to $5.60 and oz. first time I tried it it felt really good on my face. Didn’t dry me out and if I end up loving it I’ll have to get the full size. CAUDALIE - Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser Ren clean skincare body serum, this came in a great 1.7 oz. The full size is $42 for 6.8 oz. so it comes out to about $6 with some change. I’ve been using this for a couple days and it feels great on my skin. REN CLEAN SKINCARE - AHA Smart Renewal Body Serum Lancôme mascara. This is the mini 0.06oz. The full size is $25 for 0.33 oz, $13 for the 0.13 travel size so the mini 0.06 comes out to $6.50. Pretty nice mascara so far. It doesn’t clump up. LANCÔME - Monsieur Big Mascara Ouai hair oil. This came in the 0.33 mini size. The full size is $28 for 1.5 oz, $14 for 0.45 oz. This mini size I will assume it’s about $10-12. Just used this oil and it’s incredibly soft. The downside is the smell. It’s pretty heavy but it kinda smells like gardenia flowers to me. OUAI - OUAI Hair Oil Make up for ever ultra HD microfinishing loose powder. It’s in a tiny 1 g jar. The full size $36 for 8.5 g, $20 for 4 g travel size so the 1 g jar would be about $5. I’ve had this powder before and really likes it a lot. It’s super fine which I love. It sets my makeup well and hasn’t given me that many creases. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder Versace perfume sample. In a very tiny spray. It’s 0.03 oz. The travel size in a spray is $30 for 0.3oz. So for 0.03 it would be about $3.75 I’ve had this in the travel size roller ball. Really nice perfume with flowery notes. I love the peony, lotus and magnolia scents. VERSACE - Bright Crystal Eau de Toilette This bag was definitely worth it to me. I ended up liking every single product. As in the price, I’d say it’s pretty good. Personally the value of the bag is more than the $10 I spent. This may definitely not be correct but this bag could have a value of about $37! The math could be way off but to me I really liked this. Have you tried or bought this bag, or are you not interested?

🌟My Skincare Journey: Adult Acne ❕❕💫
Pimples don’t stop at puberty. And I learned the hard way 😭. I was lucky to not have had a lot of breakouts in my teens. But it hit me when I turned 20 (2 years ago!). All the insecurities I thought I confronted when I was in high school, all came flooding back. 😳 🌱2018: Painful Acne🌱(2nd slide, left pic) I don’t have many photos of myself from 2018 because I was so insecure about my skin. I would pick at it and avoid mirrors at all costs. And at times it even hurt to touch my face. The pic shown, was me on a VERY good skin day and one of the only photos I have of myself without makeup in 2018. 🌞What I wish I knew: just because my skin is having trouble, DOES NOT equal needing more products! it’s all about using the right ones. STOP over-exfoliating! ESPECIALLY with harsh acids everyday. try not to pick! (Easier said than done) your worth is not defined by your skin! (ALSO easier said than done) SUNSCREEN!!!!! 🌱2019:Scarring🌱(2nd slide, pics on the right) Finally seeing results in my skin! But I wasn’t prepared for the scarring and texture. What made it even more obvious was the makeup I was using. It also dried out my skin (which was already flaky w/ dry patches & oily at the same time😭). My skin also seemed dull and tired—which was probably to do with the anxious over-cleansing. I was terrified my acne would come back! 🌞What I wish I knew: treat your makeup like your skincare. ingredients are so important! don’t cleanse in the AM like you do in the PM. you’re stripping your skin and increasing the overproduction of oil=oily, flaky, dry MADNESS 🥴 be kind to yourself! you’re seeing results 💓 🌱2020: Feeling better, still learning I’ve FINALLY found a routine that’s helped me. And I am no longer afraid of the mirror. And TBH I never should’ve been! Confidence comes with time and while no one wAnTs acne, it is normal and we should de-stigmatize acne. We shouldn’t treat ourselves (or let others) poorly because of it. (‼️SIDE NOTE: if you are having serious, painful, etc. acne, see a dermatologist or a professional‼️) PRODUCTS USED: (they do change occasionally but these are staples!) AM: Toner: ☁️ (depending on my skin) DICKINSON'S - Original Witch Hazel Pore Perfecting Toner Moisturizer:☁️ CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin Sunscreen:☁️ sun bum - Original 'Face 50' SPF 50 Sunscreen Lotion Or #beauty counter - Mineral Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30[products]#[FiveStars] PM: Cleanser: ☁️ CAUDALIE - Vinopure Purifying Gel Cleanser Or CLARISMA - Malibu Blush Exfoliating Scrub Serum: ☁️ The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Moisturizer:☁️ CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin Spot: ☁️ LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Duo (+) (occasionally!) Masks: ☁️(occasional) CAUDALIE - Purifying Mask CLARISMA - Namaste Glow Energizing Face Mask

Samples: The Good, The Bad, And The Fragrance
After a recent purchase from my local Shoppers Drug Mart, I was given a few samples of skincare products. After giving each of them two tries, I have thoughts. Here they are: reversa - Radiance Cream SPF 30 I absolutely loved this cream! This was a deeply hydrating cream with a decent amount of sun protection, 4% Glycolic Acid and Vitamin C. There is a slight tingle when you first apply it because of the AHA , which is normal. But I found that it did very well on my sensitive skin. Avène - Cleanance Comedomed Anti-Imperfections Concentrate This product is an anti blemish concentrate to help prevent breakouts and clear skin. I love this brand but I was disappointed to see that the second ingredient is isopropyl alcohol and this line is specifically made for sensitive skin. It didn't irritate my skin but the texture is really sticky and the tackiness made it very difficult to blend into the skin. philosophy - Purity Made Simple Ultra-Light Moisturizer This was such a bland moisturizer for the price point it sells for. Nothing special at all, save your money and get a drugstore priced lotion. CAUDALIE - Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet This one was horrible! Such a heavy fragrance and did a sub par job at keeping my skin hydrated. This is a product for people who love heavy scents and want to feel fancy with no real goal for their skincare. Gross. NUXE - Crème Fraîche de Beauté 48HR Moisturising Rich Cream Holy crap, this is one of the worst creams I have ever tried. The moment I put it on my face, it started to burn. If that wasn't bad enough, even my hands started to feel like they were on fire and I immediately decided to just wash it all off. The fragrance is way too strong and severely irritating, so if you have sensitive skin, stay away from this one. Hope this helps! Happy shopping!

Sorbet heaven
Seriously this brand has been amazing so far, their isn’t a product that I haven’t liked yet. Their ingredients are amazing and the smell and texture of their products are great. I love to use this in my neck, chest, and hands. It works wonders on your elbows as well. Mine are super dry and this has helped big time :) I need to try more products by them. CAUDALIE - Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet It’s lightweight gel-cream is packed with grape water and antioxidants to soothe and hydrate skin. One of their best sellers. Skin Type: Normal, Dry Skincare Concerns: Dryness, Redness, and Dullness and Uneven Key Ingredients 🔑 Organic Grape Water: Moisturizes skin. Grape Seed Polyphenols: Antioxidant properties fight wrinkle-causing free radicals like pollution, stress, and sun damage. Chamomile: Calms and soothes Clinical Results: In a clinical trial, percent of satisfaction after 28 days for 22 volunteers: - 77% reduced redness - 90% soothed skin This product is vegan as well as being under Sephora’s clean list. If you love a product by them, let me know, I want to try more!! :)

🍇 Limited Edition Caudalíe Grape Water 🍇
This hot pink 6.7 oz beauty is ON SALE right now for $12.60 ( 30% OFF! ) on their American site us.Caudalie.com Normal prices: $18/6.7 oz & $10/2.5 oz This limited edition canister of the cult-popular Caudalíe Grape Water is covered with illustrations inspired by the natural trace elements found in this face mist! ➕Which include Potassium, Manganese, Magnesium, Calcium & Copper to naturally moisturize & maintain healthy skin functionality. About Caudalíe 🇫🇷🍷French company Caudalíe started in the early 90s, & their skincare line has always revolved around their all star ingredient: Grapes 🍇! Grape seeds & fruit are full of antioxidants, grape seeds actually contain some of the most powerful antioxidants in the world. Even grape vines can live for 100 years, thanks to the naturally produced Resveratrol that aids the vine's natural defenses & ability to regenerate. Couple & cofounders, Mathilde & Bertrand Thomas were the first to patent this natural active ingredient with firming & antiaging properties. Inspired by byproducts of her family’s winery in Bordeaux, they sought to collaborate with Professor Joseph Vercauteren, laboratory director of the Pharmacy University of Bordeaux to develop a line of skincare. They still work together to this day, & their first 3 products are still in production. 🍷Caudalie is a wine term that refers to the unit of measurement for the time the flavors of a wine linger on the palate after tasting it. What is it? (My personal favorite) hydrating face mist extracted from 100 % organic grapes during harvest in France. A long time Caudalíe best seller, this gentle mist moisturizes, soothes & refreshes the skin, while reducing sensitivity. Benefits: •Prebiotic properties: Helps prevent acne & support a healthy skin microbiome. •Moisturizes & tones the skin •Soothes sensitive skin Alcohol & fragrance-free. 100% natural. As with all Caudalie products, no parabens, phenoxyethanol, phthalates, mineral oils or animal-derived ingredients are used. CAUDALIE - Limited Edition Grape Water I’ve been using this for years after trying almost every face mist. I’m a major face mist addict & this is perfect for basic hydration anytime, even over makeup. It’s super affordable compared to a lot of mists, fragrance free & has the perfect “fat cap” mister that I’ve only ever found on 2 other mists (Kenzoki Lotus Water, now discontinued & Chanel Hydra Beauty Essence Mist & that’s $90 for less than 2 oz!) This mist also has only 3 ingredients... really only 2, because the nitrogen is just to maintain the aerosol spray feature. 💦It’s so refreshing on hot days—- 🥵or when I need a quick cool down from the heat flareups related to my neurological disorder.🧡 (CRPS) This limited edition canister is super cute! I’m a total science nerd & I love pink— so this hit all the boxes being one of my all-time favorite products period! Best mister, perfectly even & light (so important to me) +great $ for amount!

SOME NEW PRODUCTS
here are some new products i’m super excited to try out!!! PETER THOMAS ROTH - Cucumber Gel Masque i love this mask!!! it’s super hydrating and calming. it cools my skin down and it’s perfect after a day out in the sun or when you’re needing a little extra hydration. a little goes a long way. SUMMER FRIDAYS - Overtime Mask this mask is most likely not for those with super sensitive skin... the smell is a very pleasant cinnamon pumpkin. it’s both an enzymatic and a physical exfoliator. there are apricot shells in the formula, and they’re pretty large. the directions state that you gently rub in small circles for a minute once applied to the skin, and then leave on for 10 minutes. because i don’t like physical exfoliation, i usually just rub it in super gently for 30 seconds and then leave it on for 10 minutes before gently removing it with a warm washcloth. HERBIVORE - Moon Fruit Superfruit Night Treatment the smell of this one is a little much... a little medical lavender-like. it’s a thick lotion with a beautiful dark purple hue. when i use this, i use it as the last step of my routine and rub it thoroughly into my skin. the morning after my skin is super soft and hydrated and it helps any blemishes and acne on my skin. i’ve read a lot of really good reviews and a few really bad reviews about it molding, but so far it’s been fine for me. GLOW RECIPE - Avocado Melt Retinol Eye Sleeping Mask my fine lines are GONE by morning with the help of this. it blurs and tightens my under eyes, while also hydrating them and not drying them out as some retinols do. COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence love this essence. it has a beautifully thick texture. it’s sticky and stretchy and one pump sinks into the skin. it hydrates and softens my skin, while also helping any irritation. i’m super excited to use the other products i haven’t had a chance to try yet! let me know if you want to hear about any product or products in specific :)

I would rather get coal than Caudalie SOS Serum
CAUDALIE - Vinosource SOS Deep Hydration Serum First lets talk about the inclusion of fragrance-a cheap smelling fragrance at that. Second, lets talk about the fact that the serum most closely resembles a bodily fluid. Like why am I putting phlegm on my face? Third, lets talk about how the directions say apply to face without indicating how much to use. Very helpful. Finally, lets talk about how, after only the second use this morning, my skin started itching and then started burning and then turned a very attractive redish pink color. They say it is safe for sensitive skin but, quite honestly, I think they should pay me for the 20 dollars I had to put out for the SoonJung Barrier Relief Moisturizer because it is hours later and my skin still hurts even after washing the product off. In conclusion, if you like your moisture barrier intact I would avoid this product. I know many of you have had good experiences with it but this is the worst product experience I have had in ages. PS Pic is from their website.

SOS Thirst Quenching Serum
This was my first time trying Caudalie. Usually once I’m set with a products I love, I really don’t branch out for a while. Especially if their working ya know? But I’m on this kick where I’m obsessed with buying these kits 🙌🏼 This one made its way to being one of my favorites. I’m definitely going to try some other products of theirs :) CAUDALIE - Vinosource SOS Deep Hydration Serum It’s an oil-free serum packed with hyaluronic acid to treat, hydrate, and soothe dehydrated and irritated skin. It’s best for normal to dry skin, it’s so hydrating. I only use it on my face about twice a week and on my neck every night. It’s such a light weight serum, feels like water when it goes on. It’s definitely safe for sensitive skin!! If you are the Sahara desert dry, you need this boo!! 😉💕 Highlighted Ingredients: Organic Grape Water: Moisturizes and soothes. Hyaluronic Acid: Hydrates and plumps. Olive Squalane: Deeply moisturizes, heals cracked or chapped skin, and soothes eczema and excessive dryness 💞

Take a peek inside my Skin Cabinets
Since my husband decided to use the guest bath I have claimed both cabinets....and all my products still don’t fit in them!! I’ll share my bathroom sink area in another post, along with my mini fridge and backup shelf. My fingers are tired from tagging all the products right now 🙈 Let me know if there are any you’re curious about. I believe most products you can find already reviewed on my page. But if there is one not posted about, let me know and I’d be happy to share my thoughts with you. Some of my must haves are: Farmacy Beauty- Honeymoon Glow, Better Daze Ahead & Cheer Up Indie Lee - CO-Q10 Toner and & Brightening Wash Medik8- Crystal Retinal & HYDR8 + B5 Caudalie - Radiance Serum Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Youth to The People - Superberry Mask, Energy Facial The Ordinary- Niacinamide & Hyaluronic & the Facial Peel Elemis - Suerfood Mask Many of these have been repurchases. If a product is sitting out on my counter or in my cabinets, I’m enjoying using them. I have baskets of products that didn’t work so well for me but I keep them for friends to try or to create fun texture art. It’s taken me at least an entire year to gain the collection I have. I had subscribed to many subscription boxes so a good majority of products came to me that way. I haven’t received PR in a long time and the few items I did receive were from some small companies. I don’t mind receiving PR/gifts I just am very picky about what I will use so sometimes the offers don’t jive with them. Let’s see your skincare cabinet ☺️ @createoncherie @CheriePick

How to remove your Halloween makeup🔮🧽
This is how I remove waterproof makeup in 2 steps. You might need it for your Halloween look:) pūrlisse - Watermelon Makeup Remover Wipes First step is to use this purlisse makeup remover wipes to remove the colors on the skin. This wipe works well with my waterproof mascara, dark eyeshadow and waterproof liquid lipsticks. It feels soft and hydrating on the skin. It doesn’t cause any irritation. ☁️ My skin is dry. I am picky about my cleansing products. This wipe is not causing any dryness. After wiping the makeup off, my skin is soft and smooth. It’s more liquid-y than my other wipes, which leaves a moisturizing later after each use. The smell is like watermelon. The brand always uses superfoods for their products. Watermelon is one of my favorites of these ingredients. It helps reduce dryness and inflammation. 🍉🍉🍉 The size of the package is also travel friendly. The sticker keeps the wipes and the liquid in the package sealed securely. I use this wipe as the first step to take off most of the colors on the skin. 🛍🛍🛍This is my 3rd pack already. Love it!!! CAUDALIE - Instant Foaming Cleanser Step 2 is to use the roaming cleanser to remove any residual or dirt. This foam cleanser works for all skin types including dry skin. Foam cleanser is usually stronger than gel or cream cleanser in me opinion. My skin is very sensitive to these products. Most of my foam cleansers leave my skin dry. But this one from Caudalie doesn’t cause any dryness. This step makes sure that all the dirt of the skin is removed and prepare the skin for the following treatment. After using it, the skin is clean and clear. It leaves a natural glow to the cleansed skin. The smell is like floral scent, not too strong. Love the package. It’s 100% air tight. It keeps the content clean. 🧼 I will rebuy this cleanser for sure. Worth the $$$🛍

Spa Day Essentials
Here are three products I got earlier this year from Sephora that I thought I would my updated thought on!! 💜@CAUDALIE - Instant Foaming Cleanser caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser I’ve used this up so much! It’s so good and gentle on my skin. It foams up but it isn’t stripping so I can use this even in the morning without feeling dry. I would definitely repurchase this cause I think I could use this at any time of the year! 💚fresh - Vitamin C Glow Moisturizer freshbeauty Vitamin Nectar Moisture Glow Face Cream I’m trying use this cream before it gets really cold here since it is more lightweight! Love it as a day cream since it’s so light but still feels occlusive. Definitely a great night cream for oily skin too! I don’t think I would repurchase this right now since I want to try other skincare, but definitely a nice cream that makes your skin glow. Plus it smells like candy which I love but probably not great if you have sensitive skin haha 💜FARMACY - Bright On Massage-Activated Vitamin C Mask @farmacy Bright On Massage Activated Vitamin C Mask This mask is nice, my skin feels really soft after I use it. It goes on purple and then when rubbed in, it turns green which is pretty cool. I think my overall complexion looks more even and the texture is smoother since its a clay mask. It didn’t irritate me but I don’t think I would recommend this mask to those with sensitive skin.

Blackhead + Skin Impurities no longer!
CAUDALIE - Vinopure Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum INGREDIENTS/CLAIMS This is a salicylic acid rich serum which is meant to target blackheads and other skin impurities such as pores, breakouts, and excess oil. It has a typical serum/gel consistency (see second picture) which spreads thinly and evenly, and sinks into the skin quickly. It is a green color, but the color is no longer visible once you rub it in. OPINION I honestly love this serum, I’ve been using it since it was released about a year ago. Caudalie’s products have all worked really well on my skin and I was looking for a salycilic acid treatment, so I decided to try it in a kit. It really reduces the appearance of pores by cleaning them out. I have recommended it to quite a few people and have my family members hooked on it as well. I use it every other day, and I don’t find it to be drying at all. I think this product is worth the $49 price tag and would definitely repurchase once I run out. I rate this 5/5 stars!

Found: An effective skin clearing serum that is gentle on the skin! Caudalie’s Vinopure Skin Perfecting Serum refreshes as it melts into your skin and really helps to reduce the appearance of imperfections and tighten pores. This is a lightweight serum that is great for oily, combo, normal skin types that experience anything from occasional breakouts to mild acne! In addition it helps to visibly refine your skin’s texture. This gorgeous Vinopure Serum is formulated with the highest concentration of natural Salicylic Acid (to flush out excess oil and clarify clogged pores), Grape Seed Polyphenols (to prevent the oil inside your pores from oxidizing), Organic Essential Oils (provides antiseptic benefits to calm the skin), and Rosewater (to enhance and hydrate). For me, because I do not get blemishes often, I really like the texture improving aspects of this serum. It provides hydration (which is a rarity in acne serums) and after a few weeks of use my skin is noticeably smoother and more radiant, pores are significantly reduced. My husband, who is prone to breakouts, feels like ti helps blemishes go away quickly while still leaving his feeling nice and hydrated! The texture of this is a thicker gel-like serum that quickly absorbs not the skin and it has a refreshing herbal aroma that I just LOVE! At $49.00 for 30ml it is definitely more of an affordable luxury price-point but something I would highly recommend for more mature skin types that do experience breakouts and clogged pores.CAUDALIE - Vinopure Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum

My skin type: combo, acne prone, sensitive, rosacea My skin concerns: acne, dark spots, dryness, hyperpigmentation, redness CAUDALIE - Vinopure Skin Perfecting Serum + perfect for oily skin types, this serum controls sebum production! + I use it whenever my acne is getting out of my hand (or maskne), and it usually cleans my pores out better than other similar serums. Best for me in the mornings, always followed by spf. + makes my pores appear less noticeable (you can’t really shrink them like the claims suggest but they do look “better”) + I love the glass bottle! Easily recyclable and feels luxe. + smells fresh and clean + ingredients: salicylic acid, grape seed, essential oils (important to note cause you could be allergic or sensitive) + $49, not great, but lasts me forever Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Liquid + marketed as a moisturizing toner, but is very thick to be a toner + I use in the am or pm, after tonight and before actives and my moisturizer. + smells a little funky, like herbal-ly but like tea? + moisturizes and hydrates very well, but takes a while to sink in. + repairs my moisture barrier pretty fast, the ceramides really work hard and fast. + makes my skin supple and bouncy + ingredients: ceramide complex, fig, cica, and phyto extracts + $39 for 5oz which is INSANE for how long this has lasted me (about a year with use every other day or so) AUGUST & LEO SKIN - CC Glow Serum + vitamin c serum by a brand owned by a Black woman! + not sticky, but I really was sure it would be. I am surprised every time I try it. It sinks in fast, too. + smells like those orange wedge candies! I thought the fragrance would be irritating but it’s not. + doesn’t pill, works well with my other products. + I use it in my PM routine only. + helps fade my dark spots faster than they would face on their own! + ingredients: vitc is made from 5% sodium ascorbyl phosphate, German chamomile and hyaluronic acid are also included. + $62 is maybe not worth it, but I have seen good results so far. #CheriePartner

Skin perfecting serum
✨Caudalie Vinopure Serum Review✨ •The Product• Caudalie’s Natural Salicylic Acid Pore Minimizing Serum works to diminish the look of pores, breakdown black heads, fight breakouts and combat excess oil. •Ingredients• Salicylic acid (provides exfoliation), grape seed polyphenols (an antioxidant to fight blackheads), and various essential oils. •My thoughts• Overall I enjoy this serum. I have oily skin, and I notice it’s more balanced during the day when I use this serum, and my skin in general has been looking really clear. I also love the smell of this serum, but thats due to the essential oils In the product, so if you have sensitive skin I wouldn’t recommend. A little goes a long way and I’ve been using this for a while I will say you have to make sure you apply it quickly, because I find that It dries quite quickly and goes on slightly tacky, but once it absorbs into the skin (which is after about a minute) it leaves a smooth finish. •Final thoughts• This serum goes for $49 for 1oz at Sephora. I purchased this as a holiday set so it came with other little Caudalie samples. While I enjoy using this serum I probably won’t be repurchasing, it ultimately doesn’t make a substantial difference in my skin, and I do feel I can get similar results with some of my other products. I’ve been trying to get rid of dark spots since I finished my acne treatment. Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum and I’ve been using it for around 20 days now 😊 (swipe left to see the results!) This serum has viniferine which is superior to vitamin C, it’s oil free and non-comedogenic. ♥️😍 The serum is recommended for all types of skin!

You probably already know that
You probably already know that caudalie is one of my absolute favorite brands. ▫️Moisturizing Sorbet: I’ve been through several minis of this gel-cream moisturizer and I love it! Perfect to use almost anytime for my oily skin (but I’ll switch to the intense cream at night if my skin is dry)⁣ ⁣ ▫️S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum: this serum reminds me a lot of the Vinoperfect serum (scent & texture), but it’s a little thicker and great for when my skin is on the dry side⁣ ⁣ ▫️S.O.S Intense Moisturizing Cream: another great product for dry skin - I’ve used it a few nights in the past month when my skin has been in need of some TLC but I’ll be saving most of it for the winter months when I’ll be fighting dry skin regularly! ⁣

“Clean by Sephora” Brands Can Still Be Damaging
“Clean by Sephora” Brands Can Still Be Damaging
Just because it’s organic, “natural”, or pretty, doesn’t make it good for you. Today I’m going to focus on two brands that consistently overprice their products that claim to be gentle but are, at base, sensitizing water that smells nice. I’d avoid them entirely, though there are honestly very few brands at Sephora that are worth the money. • Fresh: I jumped on this Insta-hyped brand a couple years ago. Most of their products are essentially just perfume with some skincare ingredients thrown in for INCI flavor. I’m normally not so harsh, but I get headaches from how fragrant their fresh - Vitamin C Glow Face Mask is. Same for the fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner , which dried out my skin terribly when my skin barrier started rioting against the volatile rose oil. Even if your skin doesn’t visibly react, fragrance and volatile plant oils oxidize, breaking down collagen beneath the surface, making this a brand (amongst many) that I’ll continue to avoid and recommend against when it comes to facial products. • Summer Fridays: Their scrub masks are, full stop, bad for skin. The scrub particles are abrasive and not uniform in size, increasing the likelihood to end up with irritated skin rather than a smooth glow. As well, they’re highly fragranced (see my above beef with fragrance), to the point that I use my leftover SUMMER FRIDAYS - R + R Mask as a foot scrub whenever I want to feel bougie. Damage on the surface AND collagen? Not worth $50. SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask uses orange peel oil, another volatile essential oil, but has the added flaw of featuring peppermint oil, which contains sensitizing, skin-irritating menthol. There are other brands (some of their products included in this “Things That Didn’t Work For Me” photo) that utilize collagen-damaging fragrance and essential oils, but I find these two so often praised on Instagram that I can’t help but wonder if people look at the ingredient lists. I know some love these brands and that’s fine- but there are so many better, more affordable brands with clinically-researched ingredients and no unnecessary irritants.
