TONIGHT’S ROUTINE TO FIGHT ACNE
(Swipe up to see how skin looks right now) (I also have some acne and hyperpigmentation along my jaw, my neck and my chest) Rate tonight’s routine. All critics are welcomed:) Ps: I usually don’t do this much but recently I been breaking out and it’s kinda frustrating me. Here’s the order - THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm I been using it for a few weeks and I really like it so far CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin -ORIGINS - Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask to Rescue Problem Skin I don’t really wanna rate it yet but for now honestly I don’t see much results -PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing TonerI’ve been using it for a while now but Idk if it’s really helping. I’ll probably not repurchase -PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid ExfoliatorI’ve been using it every other day for weeks and starting this week I increased usage but no significant results yet. I think I’ll start using this 5-6 days a week from now on. I know I’m risking over exfoliation but right now that’s all I can do -The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%I’ve been using this everyday twice a day for a few weeks now but I haven’t used it long enough to be able to make a review on it. Haven’t seen drastic results with this either -#Neutrogena - Oil free moisture combination skin face and neck[products]#[FourStars] It’s a good basic moisturizer for oily skin (idk about combination) but lately I feel like my skin is is more normal than oily but I don’t think it’s bad to use up this product because my sunscreen is moisturizing it’s the PURITO - Centella Green Level Unscented Sun SPF50+ and in the pm I use the The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane at the end so I feel like I have a pretty good amount of hydration. Once I finish this up I’ll probably purchase another moisturizer tho - The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane I’m almost out of it and I’ll probably repurchase - Then I used the mask as a spot treatment (just on two zits tho) I’m thinking about starting differin because lately I’ve been really conscious about my skin especially because many people in my family have clear skin! If any of you have tried differin can they let me know how it went! Also let me know what you think about this routine. If you have any advice please let me know!

Holy grails! My secret weapons to deal with emergency!!!
There is no superhero in our life to save us, but I believe we all have one or two secret products that can act as heroes to save us from a skin emergency. What I love to share are these two products that have already rescued me for so many times, from meetings to interviews.  Nothing is perfect, but this Out of Trouble Mask ORIGINS - Out of Trouble 10 Minute Mask to Rescue Problem Skinis perfect for me, and it is super timesaving when I have some dead skins to clean or need to fight inflammation or pimples. This mask contains camphor, zinc oxide, and salicylic acid to calm skin, absorb excess oil, and unclog pores. It is especially good for people with combination/oily skin like me, and what I do is just to apply to T-zone and areas that are really rough and flaky, wait for 8 minutes, and wash off using makeup pads. The smell is like camphor ball, but I kinda like it, and the price of it is very nice to my wallet as well. Highly recommend this one to you. Another skincare hero saved me from an emergency is this SK-II face mask.SK-II - Pitera Facial Treatment Mask To be honest, I was shocked by its price but all of my friends recommended this to me, and I have to say that it is worth the praise. It is weird to say but it smells like spit, but the effect is amazing. I put it on after cleansing my face, and wait for 15 minutes, take it off and gently massage the rest essence on the face, then a light moisturizer.  My face is never this bright and hydrated! And my pores also get smaller as well, which is something I would never expect from a sheet mask. I know some people will say the price is beyond the budget. But if you have the chance to try it, or with some really important events coming up, these amazing stuff will not let you down!

Glow recipe who? 🥑origins for the win
I’m am slowly starting a love affair with Origins everything. Ever since I tried the eye cream, I’m on an origins kick 😏 This is WAYY better than glow recipe avocado sleeping mask. ORIGINS - Drink Up-Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst I love to use this mask twice a week. My face feels extremely hydrated for like a good 2 days after. Makes me think crazy thoughts like I can skip moisturizer and save my products hahaha because I feel that moisturized after. I was scared to use this, I read a lot about users getting this red scary rash on their faces. I’m glad I faced my fears because it’s worth it. I’m giving it 4 due to those rash reviews. We’re all different what’s good for me, might not be good for you. FACTS 100% Vegetarian*, Vegan*, Gluten-Free *Without animal ingredients except honey & beeswax FUNCTION Infused with Glacier Water, Hyaluronic Acid and Avocado Butter, superfood-infused hydration. Bonus: use on dry, thirsty hands as a moisturizing hand mask or cream. FORMULATED WITH OUT Parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, mineral oil, DEA, petrolatum, paraffin, polyethylene beads, formaldehyde. HOW TO USE Twice a week or as desired, gently massage onto clean skin at bedtime. Apply to hands as a moisturizing hand mask or hand cream. MAIN INGREDIENTS Avocado & Glacier Water I love it and I hope you will too.

Origins loves their essential oils 😞
I found a 2 pack of the ORIGINS - Drink Up-Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst at Marshalls for a really good price so I decided to pick it up. I have dry skin so I thought it would work out for me. Turns out it wasn’t the best for my skin. This is a sleep mask that feels rather rich in texture but it doesn’t feel super heavy. Overall I loved the texture. If applied evenly and felt like it didn’t melt off my face in the night. This is meant for dry or normal skin types to help add moisture. But BEWARE. This is ❌ NOT ❌ for sensitive or damaged skin types!!! If your skin is anything more than a little dry I would not recommend using this! While the brand touts being Paraben, SLS, mineral oil, petrolatum etc free, it is NOT FRAGRANCE FREE. MULTIPLE citrus essential oils are very high up in the ingredients list. The product itself smells strongly of grapefruit and if you put this on sensitized skin, IT WILL BURN. Like not only a little bit, a lot. I made this mistake and ended up with a painful, raw face. When I tried this when my skin was in better shape, it wasn’t so bad. It actually did hydrate my skin nicely but the smell was just so overpowering. Honestly I feel like I would love this if it was sans essential oils because otherwise, I like the ingredients. It has niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, and cetyl alcohol, all of which my skin loves. But sadly, this was just not it with the EOs

Skincare Strugglebus 🚌
So I had a good, simple routine for a long time and my skin was great! Then I moved and now my skin is so much different. I’ve been using tons of products trying to get results but I think I’ve been tormenting my skin and not giving any one product enough of a chance to do it’s thing so I’m trying to simplify. Right now my skin is dry, dehydrated, red and bumpy and my pores have gotten huge and black and icky and I’m really frustrated. I like to think that I’m knowledgeable about skincare but I still have a lot to learn. If you have any thoughts on my current products that would help the most! I have a lot and need a real routine. AM routine: Rinse my face with water. If I’m oily (which isn’t often) I will go in with THAYERS - Lavender Facial Toner but only on my t-zone, my cheeks can’t handle it. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream VERSED - Daily Mineral Sunscreen Broad Spectrum a little greasy but non irritating and only if I go outside. PM: FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm only if I wear makeup and spf For cleansers I’ve been using DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Antioxidant Cleanser Too Faced - Hangover Wash The Day Away Gentle Foaming Cleanser I also have a sample size of belif - Aqua Bomb Jelly CleanserI haven’t used and sometimes I will VERY GENTLY scrub with fresh - Sugar Strawberry Exfoliating Face Wash I have 3 different toners, I use fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner but it’s started to sting a bit with all the fragrance. I just purchased LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizerand also GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Tonerwhich I want to incorporate instead. Maybe alternate? I loved FARMACY - Very Cherry Bright 15% Clean Vitamin C Serum with Acerola Cherry but I think it went bad bc it stings so much now. I use PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum every day but I might switch to DRUNK ELEPHANT - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serumthoughts? YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Adaptogen Deep Moisture Cream with Ashwagandha + Reishi never switching! other products I own: YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask LANEIGE - Cica Sleeping MaskGLOW RECIPE - Watermelon + AHA Glow Sleeping Mask ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream I DEW CARE - Cake My Day Hydrating Sprinkle Wash-Off Mask DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Air-Whip Moisture Cream

Retexurizing Mask, Will it Work Wonders ?
I’ve had this product for maybe 2 weeks now and I try and use it two to three times a week and let me just say, my skin looks pretty darn good after using it. When you wash the mask off you almost use it as an Exfoliator as it has little particules in the formula. After only a few uses I can tell my skins overall look is slowly but Surely becoming smoother. At this point I don’t have any down sides to the product other than this product might take time to show results, but patience is key! This product won’t work for everyone so I always recommend buying trial sizes for first time uses but I do recommend giving it a go!

Origins: Hit or Miss??
I got these as a gift a couple years ago before I was really into skincare, and I remember my initial thoughts on these products being mediocre. The smell of the cleanser was so strong and the mask just did nothing for me. Flash forward a few years later and I kept hearing about how this cleanser was a killer against acne, and equally rave reviews about the face mask, so I decided to incorporate them into my routine again. Cleanser: Despite not liking the smell the first time I used this, I actually really enjoy it now. It smells like someone just got done sanding some freshly made furniture. This cleanser immediately wakes you and your skin up and almost has a cooling effect- which felt AMAZING for my sensitive skin. I also noticed that it helped with my pores, but overall I just found this cleanser to be too drying for my skin. Which makes sense- I do have dry skin after all. If you have oily acneic skin, however, this cleanser would be perfect for you!! The sage leaf water is rich in antioxidants and astringent properties, perfect for reducing the bad oil on your skin and drying out that acne! I’ll definitely use this cleanser in the summer when my skin is oily and actually needs it, but I don’t know if I’d buy it again just because it doesn’t suit my skin’s needs! Mask: At first use, my skin just didn’t take to this mask. It dried my skin out way too much, so even though it helped my acne I wasn’t interested. Now that I have a toner in my routine, my skin can handle this mask - and MAN is my skin grateful for that. It’s amazing at reducing redness and taking down persistent cystic acne, while being calm enough that it doesn’t irritate my sensitive, dry skin. Kaolin clay is actually one of the mildest clays, so if you wanted to use this mask every day or every other day, the ingredients are gentle enough that you can!! However I do only recommend using it that often if you have oily skin- even the gentlest of clays will harm dry skin after continuous use! I usually use this mask once a week, and despite thinking the pricepoint is just a little high for the amount of mask you get, I think the product overall is so worth it. No other clay mask has ever had such a good effect on my pores and active acne, not to mention it’s also really good at calming down acne that hasn’t completely surfaced yet! I’ll definitely be repurchasing this mask- or maybe I’ll just wait for my birthday and make someone else buy it for me🤪 Overall, Origins is a HIT! Despite the cleanser not being so much for my skin type, it still has amazing properties and ingredients, so if oily, acneic skin is a plague upon you, I highly suggest trying this cleanser out!!! And follow up with the mask- your skin will thank you!! Even if you have dry skin but still have annoying acne or large pores on your t-zone, this mask will help you!! I will definitely be checking out more Origins products after my experience with these products!!

my am routine
This is my improved morning routine after joining the cherie beauty community! I've added a serum, an eye cream, and an spf, as well as switch my cleanser and toner. I don't wear makeup regularly, but until this routine I've struggled with acne, enlarged pores, and dark circles. I've seen such an improvement. Step one CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser I used to use Burts bees sensitive skin cleanser, but the cerave one is much more hydrating and a better price. Step two HERITAGE STORE - Rosewater Facial Toner I used to use thayers, but I was made aware of how drying it is, and sure enough, this one is much more soothing to my skin. Step three Cos De BAHA - Azelaic Acid 10% Serum with Niacinamide Acne Scar Removal + Redness Relief Face This serum is amazing. I credit it for the amount my pores have shrunk, and it's affordable! Step four ORIGINS - GinZing Refreshing Eye Cream to Brighten and Depuff The difference is subtle, but I do think it helps my puffiness and dark circles. Step five WELEDA - Skin Food Light The most amazing moisturizer I have ever used!! So hydrating and soaks into my skin so well. Step six Krave - The Beet Shield This is such a great option for spf. The vitamin c in the formula makes my skin glowy, and it spreads so well. Honestly I'm really happy with the results of this routine. I'll share my pm routine with you guys soon 💖

I’m really just starting to love all Origins products. I haven’t found one that I haven’t liked yet. So I got this in one of my Sephora favorites sample bag. Great moisturizer! Very refreshing!
Origins GinZing Oil- Free Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer The Origins GinZing Gel Moisturizer is amazing, I love the GinZing line! It applies evenly and absorbs quickly into the skin. There is no residue leftover or tacky feeling. Unlike other gel based moisturizers, this one is actually hydrating and doesn’t sit on the skin’s surface. My skin felt soft and refreshed! This formula is super-rich & energy-boosting moisturizer! I have extremely dry skin, and it comes and goes with redness this started working within minutes of use and made my skin stay hydrated all day long! The added benefit is its infused with caffeine from Coffee and Ginseng, instant skin wake up! An oil-free, energy-boosting gel moisturizer that helps wake up dull, normal-to-oily skin with lasting 72-hour hydration. This gel delivers 72-hours of oil-free hydration as it revs up skin’s natural radiance for a wide-awake look. Energy-boosting caffeine from coffee and ginseng help revitalize skin, while Hydra-Hug™ technology helps bridge the gap between skin cells so they "hug" to prevent moisture loss. ❌ ILL NEVER PUT THIS ON MY FACE AGAIN ❌
✨your follows and cheers mean so much 💛✨ Hey friends, So lately I feel like I can’t win with moisturizers… I got this one an Origins Value set and after a little post purchase research….that I wish I did pre purchase 🙄 I’ll probably never use this moisturizer on my face again. 🍊 This light weight, oil-free energizing moisturizer smells like a dream.. it’s got total creamsicle vibes. I just wish that wasn’t also the reason it’s so bad for your face. Also, your face is your face… you gotta choose ingredients over scent. Anyways, I can’t believe how much yucky stuff is in this guy… here’s a little rundown of the bad guys ❌ Lemon Peel Oil, Grapefruit Peel Oil, Orange Peel Oil - These three ingredients are mainly comprised of limonene, common fragrances that can sensitize the skin they also contain a compound called ‘furanocoumarin’. This compound can make the skin extremely sensitive to sunlight - also known as phytotoxicity, that can lead to sunburns, blisters and other skin problems. That’ll be a no thanks for me…. ❌ Limonene - oxidizes when exposed to air and is a skin sensitizer - 👎🏻 ❌Linalool - aslo oxidizes when exposed to air and turns to an allergenic… so basically the longer its been open, the more likely its going to irratate your skin……..I already know I have a skin care purchasing problem, DONT RUSH ME TOO. ❌and lastly Citral - a common fragrance ingredient that has high allergen potential and should be avoided if you have sensitive skin. With there being 6 less then ideal ingredients in the upper half of the ingredients list, you could definitely say I’m turned off this moisturizer and at best I will never use it in the morning ever again. My blonde hair blue eyed complexion is as much increased skin sensitivity as I need! 🌿I had to give them three stars though because when they do for the environment is unparalleled and I have so much respect for the part of the brand 🌿 If you’ve got a great moisturizer reco, plz… send help. 💛 ORIGINS - GinZing Oil-Free Energy Boosting Gel Moisturizer

Am I confident with this cleanser?
As a person, I try not to support it cosmetics because I am not going to give money to a company that has shown that they don’t care about me or people who look like me. But I must have bumped my head because I got a three-piece set that included the it Cosmetics - Secret Sauce Anti-Aging Moisturizerand it Cosmetics - Miracle Water Micellar Cleanserand this post’s featured item, it Cosmetics - Confidence in a Cleanser . One product saved my skin after I left the DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Maskfor ... an hour while working and one product was just fancy water. (I plan on doing a storytime about my Babyfacial mishap.) then there was the cleanser, which I literally started using about ... 3 weeks ago. ABOUT THIS PRODUCT This two-in-one serum cleanser was formulated with plastic surgeons for normal, oil, combination, dry and sensitive skin types. It comes in two sizes: 1.7 oz. for $12.50 and 5 oz. for $28. You are supposed to apply it onto all wet skin and work in for about 30 seconds. KEY INGREDIENTS • Anti-Aging Armour Rejuvenating Concentrate™ • Anti-aging collagen 😒 • Hyaluronic acid • Colloidal oatmeal • A super ceramide complex MY EXPERIENCE I started using this cleanser because I had just finished my go-to cleanser, ORIGINS - Checks and Balances Frothy Face Washand I wanted to use up a few of my smaller ones before going for a larger one. Enter Confidence in a Cleanser. I didn’t like this cleanser. Maybe it is because it was formulated to be a universally used cleanser, but I feel like this is kind of a nothing cleanser. It doesn’t directly hurt my skin, but I don’t see any benefits either. Actually, I had a larger than normal hormonal breakout than in normally do while using this cleanser. (This cleanser while also trying to finish the DRUNK ELEPHANT - Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser. So that could also be the culprit.) My skin was clean, but it didn’t feel how I wanted it to feel. It can take a bit to work into a lather, which can be annoying. If you have used this product, then you know. Recommend? No.

Organically perfect
I have extremely oily skin and oddly enough it is also a bit sensitive to most cleansers so I have a horrible time finding one to work. I love the whole charcoal trend that is going around but for some reason it just does not go well with my skin and just can't use it. Still I wanted something that was deep cleaning and good for my skin like all those charcoal products out there. I finally found this amazing brand called Origins and they have amazing products that are perfect for oily skin. I searched their site and found this amazing Checks and Balances FrothyFace Wash and decided to give it a try. I had heard wonderful things about it and how it helped keep the oil under control while not irritating the skin. I of course had to first look at the ingredients and make sure it didn't have anything harmful in it and, thankfully there wasn't. It's formulated with mint and is 100% vegetarian/vegan, and cruelty free honey and beeswax. This is perfect for oily skin but it also has ingredients like Broad Leaf Kelp Extract, Wheat Protein and Tourmaline to cleanse and purify all skin types. I just love how well this product removes every trace of makeup on me without irritating my skin and leaves me a clean, tingly mint sensation when done. My skin feels softer and looks more radiant than ever.ORIGINS - Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash

One I Hate and One That’s Great
Two new products I was excited about: Origins Super Spot Remover: I had been getting a few pimples, mostly just a couple little barely noticeable ones but I also had a big one coming up on my cheek. I was so excited to try this as I had heard good things. I used it twice a day for about three or four days. Now I know that’s not a lot of time for other types of treatments but I expect at least SOME positive results within a day or two but I got none. There was absolutely no change. ORIGINS - Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel Rael Calm + Collected Facial Mist: I had been looking for a nice facial mist for hydration and to use in my 10+ step Korean beauty routine when I felt a need for it. A lot of facial mists claim to be hydrating but the ingredients include alcohol and witch hazel which can be drying. This mist’s key ingredients include: Hyaluronic Acid Vitamin B5 (anti-static, moisturizing) Glycerin (moisturizing, solvent) Aloe Vera Flower Extract (emollient, moisturizing) Trehalose (moisturizing) Allantoin (anti-inflammatory, soothing) Caprylyl Glycol (emollient, moisturizing, skin conditioning) Ethylhexylglycerin (preservative, surfactant) These are not the ONLY ingredients but they are the key ingredients. According to another app I use that helps identify ingredients, irritants, hormonal disrupters and carcinogens in cosmetics and skincare products (it’s called Good Face in case you’re interested) it lists two possible allergens which are • Limonene: a fragrance and solvent. Under “safety concerns” it lists allergen and irritant. The other possible allergen is • Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil: used as an astringent, for skin conditioning and masking. Under “safety concerns” it is listed as a possible allergen. It also lists two possible irritants which are • Limeonene: (see above) and • Butylene Glycol: a solvent. Under “safety concerns” it lists it as a possible irritant. The facial mist is also said to have bamboo extract, is “clean”, vegan and made without synthetic fragrance, artificial dyes, parabens, PEGs, phenoxyethanol, mineral oil, silicones, sulfates or phthalates. I think it is nice, light and with a smidge of creamy texture that you can rub in if you like. It doesn’t take a lot to give you a some moisture. I haven’t used it a lot yet but so far, I like it. BEST Acne Spot Treatments and How They Work
👩🏻‍⚕️Everything you ever wanted to know about acne spot treatments, ingredients and more! 🔑P. Acnes/C. Acnes is the bacteria responsible for causing acne. 🔑Rx Retinoids, Differin (Adapalene,) and retinols should not be used as spot treatments. See my previous post for information about these. So what's in spot treatments and how and why do these ingredients work? proactiv - Emergency Blemish Relief ✅Rating 9/10 ✅More penetrating, less drying 5% BPO formula ✅Goes on clear and can be worn under makeup ✅I’m allergic to BPO but can sometimes use this sparingly 🧪Benzoyl peroxide (BPO) is considered the gold standard in treating acne. BPO works by penetrating clogged hair follicles to kill the bacteria that causes acne within the pore, P. acnes. In addition, BPO is anti-inflammatory, and continues to fight acne after it has cleared. New studies show lower concentrations of BPO are just as effective as higher concentrations and cause less irritation. ✅Best for: inflammatory acne, blackheads, whiteheads, pustules/papules, mild cystic acne ORIGINS - Super Spot Remover Acne Treatment Gel (1.5% SA) ✅Rating 9/10 ✅More concentrated formulation ✅Works quickly ✅Goes on clear and can be worn under makeup 🧪Salicylic acid is (SA) a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that acts as a skin exfoliant. It works to clear acne-causeing debris from pores, such as dead skin cells. Dead skin cells then shed and pores appear smaller, tighter, clearer and more youthful. It's important to note that it does not kill P. acnes, the bacteria that is linked to acne. ✅Best for: oiliness, blackheads, whiteheads, large and congested pores Kate Somerville - EradiKate Acne Treatment ✅Rating9/10 ✅Dries quickly and doesn’t flake ✅Works quickly ✅Combines sulfur (10%), salicylic acid and Zinc Oxide 💁🏻‍♀️I like it better than MARIO BADESCU - Mario Badescu Drying Lotion (Combines sulfur, salicylic acid and calamine) 🧪Sulfur works similar to benzoyl peroxide and fights P. acnes. However, it appears to be more gentile and has less irritant effects. Sulfur also promotes the top layers of skin to dry and peel off. The effect dries up pimples and prevents future breakouts. In addition, sulfer reduces excess production of sebum oils that can cause acne causing debris when they mix with dead skin cells. Overall, sulfur is excellent at unclogging pores. ✅Best for: sebum-induced acne, blackheads, whiteheads, large and congested pores yesto - Triple-Threat Acne Treatment Kit ✅Rating 9.5/10 ✅Combines charcoal, sulfur (4%) and which hazel ✅Dries and works quickly ✅Smells heavenly boscia - Charcoal Spot Corrector ✅Rating 8.5/10 ✅Combines charcoal, willow herb extract and salicylic acid ✅Dries and works quickly ✅Good for sensitive skin 🧪Activated charcoal works by picking up and removing bacteria, oil, toxins and other cellular debris. It is a good anti-inflammatory, exfoliant that clears pores, increases pore tightness and reduces pore size. It works similar to sulfur in that it can balance sebum production. But, like salicylic acid, activated charcoal has no effect against P. acnes. ✅Best for: inflammatory acne, blackheads, whiteheads, large and congested pores 🚨All of the ingredients and products can have side effects such as dryness, itching, redness, flaking, irritation or allergy. Be sure to test a small area on skin 24 hours before applying to your face.

my maskne routine!
Hey guys! I think we’ve all seen the maskne/mascne/mask acne posts going around since we’re all discovering the side effect of wearing a mask! I thought I’d share my routine to combat this acne too, just in case it helps even just one person. This is my personal regime and may not be suitable for everyone. To set the scene: you’ve been working all day or even just been out a couple hours and you finally get home! You take off your mask and discover almost damp, very moist skin. Maybe you even have a new breakout, or none at all. What do you do now? Cleanse the skin Right away, I use GLOW RECIPE - Papaya Sorbet Smoothing Enzyme Cleansing Balm because the silky oil really breaks down the products I have on my face that need to come off after sitting under a mask. I find a cleansing balm essential in thoroughly removing sunscreen, makeup, and other products. I then use OLE HENRIKSEN - Find Your Balance Oil Control Cleanser afterwards to really finish off my cleanse and feel super fresh. This also controls my oil, so the skin that sits under the mask isn’t creating excess sebum. It erases all traces of the balm and gives you a clean slate. Apply a toner I find toners extremely helpful in balancing my face after I cleanse. My absolute, holy grail toner is GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner . It brings moisture back into my skin and stays, feeling plump and heavenly dewy. It also visibly shrunk my ginormous pores within 3-5 days of using it twice a day and my pores have been much smaller ever since. This is the only product that helps control my oil and keeps my face hydrated. Even expensive lotions by themselves don’t do it for my skin. Apply a moisturizer I love love love CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin because it is thick yet absorbs well into my skin and feels light afterwards. It also leaves a comfortable—not oily or gross in any way—protective layer on my skin so the outside elements don’t damage it nor dry it out. I love this during all seasons. It works wonders combined with the toner I mentioned before. 4-5 times a week, apply a mask I find this super helpful in drying out specific acne spots or just giving my skin an entire refresh. I’ve noticed a significant decrease in the acne I get when I stick to using it! My favorites are ORIGINS - Retexturizing Mask with Rose Clay (review on my page) and the ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Charcoal Honey Mask to Purify and Nourish . Origins has always been super gentle on my sensitive skin and extremely effective! Apply a treatment I’ve used DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel and it wasn’t strong enough for my skin. I now use a prescription tretinoin cream nightly and it’s way more effective for me. Any treatment helps though!! What is your routine? I’d love to hear about it! 🤍 I hope this helps!!

Face Mask that Nourishes & Purifies!
Are you wanting a face mask that clears & purifies your face, without drying it out? Then this face mask is perfect for you! ORIGINS - Clear Improvement Charcoal Honey Mask to Purify and Nourish What is it? - A gentle, purifying mask that detoxes while nourishing skin, leaving it feeling comfortably clean, clear, and conditioned. What’s in it? - Formulated with Bamboo Charcoal, this purifying mask actively deep cleans & draws out deep-dwelling pore-cloggers, impurities & debris. Golden Wildflower & Fermented Honey help nourish skin. - It’s formulated without parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, mineral oil, DEA, petrolatum, paraffin, polyethylene beads, formaldehyde & animal ingredients* (*except cruelty-free honey & beeswax) How to use it- - Use once a week or as often as needed. Apply on clean face and allow to dry (approx 10 min). Rinse well. My review- - I have dry, sensitive, and acne-prone skin. I purchased this product before realizing how packed full of essential oils Origins products are, and how they can be harmful to the skin. However, I still really love their masks. First off, this mask smells absolutely amazing! It has a comforting, warm honey scent. The mask also has a gorgeous golden bronze appearance. I typically leave it on for 10 minutes. When I wash it off I’m left with smooth, hydrated skin. It really does what it says, it purifies and nourishes the skin! If you liked the pore-clearing of the effects of their original charcoal mask, but found it too drying, you should definitely try this mask!

Don't know how to choose lotions for summer? Give them a try👇
Summer is coming! Are you ready for the sunny days? Are your skincare products ready for the summer time? I believe that different seasons can choose different products to give better effects for my skin. I want to share two skincare products to you guys about my favorite lotions for summer. ERNO LASZLO - Hydraphel Skin Supplement Lotion Formulated for dry and super-dry skin types, the soothing lotion rehydrates and restores the skin after cleansing. Also, this silky, alcohol-free lotion is formulated with a soothing anti-inflammatory that will not irritate even the most sensitive skin. It infuses moisture into the skin through a variety of effective moisturizers, while promoting cell renewal and tissue repair, and removing skin flaps. The texture is a bit different with others, it’s sticky texture when it just spill out from the bottle. So when you apply on your face, the first few seconds are sticky. But the lotion absorbed really fast. You only feel smooth and hydrating but not sticky after that. It’s totally a great lotion for summer time. If you’re oil skin, you can use it in winter if you think it’s too much for summer. ORIGINS - Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion I believe this is a really popular lotion recently. A mushroom-infused light, soothing, watery lotion that reduces the look of redness and a prepare step for other skincare products. It gives enough moisture, but at the same time, it really helps my skin issues, for example acne and closed acne. When I get acne, I use this lotion for 4-5 days, and my acne would disappeared. And sometimes, I apply this lotion on a cotton pad, and leave it on my acne area for around 10 mins, my acne gone faster. Both lotions can help my skin to have a health and soothe result. Also, they are not sticky or oily, so great for summer time. Have you tried either of them before? If not, what's your favorite lotion for summer?⁣ 🌞

I Guess My Expectations For The Origins Is Too High😫😫
I have dry, acne-prone and sensitive skin.  I started using the Origins since a while ago. The ORIGINS - Dr. Andrew Weil For Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Treatment Lotion Limited Editionshows great results in calming the skin and using it consistently as a toner mask helps with reducing bumps.👍 So I was very interested in other products from the Origins.  I bought the Origins Mega-Mushroom series because I heard this it is very good for sensitive skin. It can hydrate and calm my irritated skin. But after using it, I think the Origins Mega-Mushroom series is quite disappointing.  I won't repurchase their ORIGINS - Dr. Andrew Weil For Mega-Mushroom Relief & Resilience Soothing Face Mask because it's not as effective as the treatment lotion when I have acne breakouts during my menstrual period. The Mega-Mushroom face mask helps more with moisturizing, calming, as well as reducing skin irritation and peeling, but the Mega-Mushroom lotion does the same, doing it even better in a shorter period of time, so you might as well go for the lotion instead of going for the mask.👎👎 ORIGINS - Hello Calm Relaxing & Hydrating Face Mask with Hemp Seed Oil I will not repurchase it.👎👎 This face mask, which is absorbed easily and doesn't leave the skin greasy, helps to calm and relax skin as well as moisturize and hydrate. Its main ingredient is hemp seed oil which prevents skin inflammation and repairs damaged skin. However, it didn't do much for me and besides having a reassuring scent, it did nothing for my inflamed acne. You can still give it a go though because of how cheap it is. After all, different skin types will react differently to it. How do you like the Origins? What are some of your fav products? 😝

ORIGINS - Drink Up-Intensive Overnight Mask to Quench Skin's Thirst This mask is EVERYTHING!!! I got this for $13 at Sephora and it is all I could wish for and more. I used this in place of my moisturizer at night to give my skin some extra love. It is CLEAN, works great, and smells amazing. I wake up in the morning with glowing, plump, hydrated skin. On top of all that, it is not sticky or messy like a mask. Everyone should have this in their routine! 💦🧖🏼‍♀️🥑✨

Newbies and old favorites// 🌿Dr. Jart Tiger Grass Re.Pair serum 🌿Drunk Elephant B-Hydra 🌿Origins Mega Mushroom Relief and Resilience 🌿Beautycounter Rejuvenating Eye Cream 🌿Beautycounter Calendula Lip Balm I’m a big fan of all things mushroom and have been reaching for the the Origins Mega-Mushroom lotion. I pat a couple layers on my clean face and always feel like I’m doing my skin a favor. It’s technically a lotion but the consistency is a clear liquid (like a toner or essence). Don’t let the name mislead you! Just try it!

“Clean by Sephora” Brands Can Still Be Damaging
“Clean by Sephora” Brands Can Still Be Damaging
Just because it’s organic, “natural”, or pretty, doesn’t make it good for you. Today I’m going to focus on two brands that consistently overprice their products that claim to be gentle but are, at base, sensitizing water that smells nice. I’d avoid them entirely, though there are honestly very few brands at Sephora that are worth the money. • Fresh: I jumped on this Insta-hyped brand a couple years ago. Most of their products are essentially just perfume with some skincare ingredients thrown in for INCI flavor. I’m normally not so harsh, but I get headaches from how fragrant their fresh - Vitamin C Glow Face Mask is. Same for the fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner , which dried out my skin terribly when my skin barrier started rioting against the volatile rose oil. Even if your skin doesn’t visibly react, fragrance and volatile plant oils oxidize, breaking down collagen beneath the surface, making this a brand (amongst many) that I’ll continue to avoid and recommend against when it comes to facial products. • Summer Fridays: Their scrub masks are, full stop, bad for skin. The scrub particles are abrasive and not uniform in size, increasing the likelihood to end up with irritated skin rather than a smooth glow. As well, they’re highly fragranced (see my above beef with fragrance), to the point that I use my leftover SUMMER FRIDAYS - R + R Mask as a foot scrub whenever I want to feel bougie. Damage on the surface AND collagen? Not worth $50. SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask uses orange peel oil, another volatile essential oil, but has the added flaw of featuring peppermint oil, which contains sensitizing, skin-irritating menthol. There are other brands (some of their products included in this “Things That Didn’t Work For Me” photo) that utilize collagen-damaging fragrance and essential oils, but I find these two so often praised on Instagram that I can’t help but wonder if people look at the ingredient lists. I know some love these brands and that’s fine- but there are so many better, more affordable brands with clinically-researched ingredients and no unnecessary irritants.
