This Fenty Beauty Snap Shadow 🎨 is a 10/10
I’ve been loving greens a lot lately and have been on the lookout for an eyeshadow palette that reflects that. Honestly, I spent some time searching bc there aren’t that many options, especially in clean beauty 🤔 so even though Fenty Beauty isn’t clean, I support Rih Rih with all my heart and I don’t regret spending a cent on this FENTY BEAUTY - Snap Shadows Mix & Match Eyeshadow Palette in 10 - Money, which I got during the Sephora HOLIDAY FUN sale with the VIB discount 💃🏽 I like this palette because the tones are subtle and can easily be worn on a daily basis for the more “natural makeup head” very minimal fallout it includes a nice, brown shadow shade and bright golden shade on top of the green which is great for traveling with The only thing is I find that the light green shimmer (top middle) shade is best applied by finger or has to really be worked into the brush, but the colour pay off is great! Additional makeup worn in this photo Face: Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation in 07 ĀETHER BEAUTY - Crystal Charged Cheek Palette in Ruby tarte - SEA Hydrocealer Concealer Eyes: Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara SAPPHO - New Paradigm Concealer in Caramel as eye primer Brows: Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel Lips: BITE - Power Move Creamy Matte Lip Crayon in Hard Cider TOWER 28 - ShineOn Milky Lip Jelly Gloss in Almond

Makeup for oily, acne-prone skin
Like a lot of people, my skin type is oily and acne-prone. This can make makeup difficult: in the past, I’ve used makeup that clogged my pores and made my acne worse, or makeup that reacted with the oil on my face and made my makeup look cakey. I also really like a dewy, glowy makeup look, which can be difficult when a lot of makeup for oily skin tries to suck the oil up to make skin look matte. Over time, I’ve been able to nail down a makeup look that works great for my skin type. First, make sure to use a good primer to keep makeup in place. I like FIRST AID BEAUTY - Hello FAB Pores Be Gone Matte Primer , which works great and doesn’t pill under makeup. Next, use a base product. As strange as it seems, I love the Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation for my oily skin—it actually has kaolin clay in it to keep it from looking oily, so the finish I end up with is semi-matte. It’s perfect! I apply it with my fingers and it blends easily. Use a concealer if needed to cover and blemishes and/or undereyes. I love the Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer because it has ingredients like arnica and peptides to visibly improve skin—it’s makeup and skincare rolled into one, and my oily/acne-prone skin loves it! Use a blush with beneficial ingredients for skin. I love the alleyoop - Stack the odds multi-use face palette because the cream products have jojoba and sunflower oils. Since I just apply the blush on the apples of my cheeks, it gives me a glow right where I want it, without making me look oily all over. I also use a cream highlight on my cheekbones: the one in the alleyoop palette is great, as is the BECCA - Skin Love Glow Glaze Stick . They both have skin nourishing ingredients that help keep my skin from being too dried out by acne products—because makeup doesn’t look good clinging to dry patches. Make sure to use a good powder to set foundation in your T-zone. I love the Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder because it never looks cakey, even when I reapply—I took a star off for the packaging though, which can be inconvenient. A few more tips: I avoid cream products with coconut oil because they make me break out, and I wash my makeup brushes at least once a week because dirty brushes can spread bacteria and make acne worse. If anyone else has tips for this skin type, please let me know in the comments! #CheriePartner

KOSAS The Wet Set
Kosas - The Wet Set Kosas - Wet Lip Oil Gloss So with this set I really like the product, this is a very good lip oil and the pigment stays even when it feels like the gloss is wearing off. This set came with the shades Jellyfish, Dip, and Jaws (swatched in that order from top to bottom) and they’re all so pretty! I tried the shade Malibu like a year ago but it was toooooo bubblegum pink and I gave it away to my mom. Jellyfish is a clear gloss, Dip is a pearly neutral nude, and Jaws is a warm red. My favorite by far is Jaws because I’m a red lip person. My only issue with this set is how small the tubes are. There isn’t a whole lot of product in here, and while it’s really good for testing out a few colors, it may not be worth $25. I dunno, I’m enjoying them and will probably end up buying the regular size of Jaws.

My lashes are typically longer, but I just removed my eyelash extensions so they are a bit short.

makeup favorites! perfect for travel.
This weekend I will be traveling(safely) and these are the makeup products I will be taking, not including my makeup brushes. Whenever I travel, I make sure to take the products I know work well and I love. Here are the products: 100% pure - Mattifying Primer Sample Packet I have the full size of this, and it's hands down my favorite primer. I have oily skin and this is the only primer I've ever used that makes a difference in my makeup longevity and is mattyfying. I can also layer dewy products and it balances my skin well. Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer It's the concealer I've been using the most this year. shade 04. COVER FX - Pressed Mineral Powder Foundation I hit pan on this product and I'm trying to finish it up. it's a great product for oily skin. I'm taking this in case I want more coverage since I'm not bringing a foundation. laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder Setting powder. Kosas concealer
Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer This product came out earlier last year. I love concealers because I have dark circles and I’m always looking for a good one. This became a staple product in my collection after trying it. Just a couple days ago Kosas released new shades to their line so hopefully it works for more people now. This is a description based on the Kosas website: Turn on your best skin.
A medium coverage, super creamy concealer, eye cream, and spot treatment in one that visibly brightens and helps reveal better skin over time. Sooo what are my thoughts? This product is on my top three favorites for a concealer. If I’m going for a natural makeup look I ALWAYS grab this one. It’s extremely creamy and looks beautiful on the skin. After applying it under my eyes I can instantly see the skin care benefits. It sounds weird, but it’s true. This concealer is medium coverage, but if I want added coverage I just use an eye corrector beforehand. It also lasts all day if I set it with powder. Cons? This product runs VERY yellow. Even for me, it’s a little too yellow sometimes. If I want to neutralize this shade I mix it with another concealer. It will crease. Because this product is so creamy, it will crease under your eyes if you don’t set it. What are your thoughts on this product?

Ilia & Kosas on Sensitive Eyes- hit or miss?
I have very sensitive eyes, and just about every makeup brand (including natural/organic) I’ve tried irritates them; they get watery, sting, and within 20 minutes I have to run to the sink to get it off. I got to the point where I just didn’t want to bother trying anymore. Lately however, I’ve started looking again for that HG product that my eyes wouldn’t hate; I’m tired of looking at eyes that look permanently tired (hereditary dark circles). I did a bunch of snooping online, and after staring at Ilia products and Kosas for awhile, and reading reviews, I decided to spend the $$, so here’s my thoughts! I swatchedILIA - True Skin Serum Concealer and Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer, and ended up giving Ilia’s a try. I picked up their lightest shade, in Arrowroot. My skin leans combination and I wanted something that felt barely there. Kosas concealer is just what it advertises, it’s very creamy and has a very heavy consistency. Their lightest shade also was too dark on me, so I went with Ilia. The concealer itself really does blend seamlessly into my skin, it has sort of this barely-there scent that I can detect if I sniff the bottle, but it isn’t something I’d ding it for. It kind of just smells like a yummy skincare product tbh. It has a super light consistency, if makeup could be serum-ish, I guess this would be it? It’s very light, and it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing anything which is exactly what I hoped for. The verdict? Hit! No stinging, no itchiness, no irritation. I was super pleased, and it held up all through the day without primer. No creasing really either, which I was impressed with. All in all I will 100% continue to use this, and I’d really like to try some of their other products! The price is a bit hefty, at $30.00 if you’re looking for more affordable products. But in this case I feel like I’m getting what I paid for, especially for a product that not only doesn’t piss off my eyes, but works beautifully. As for Kosas - The Big Clean Volumizing + Lash Care Mascara , I’m kind of sad. Here’s why: It didn’t clump, and it did just what it says. My lashes were voluminous, but also looked very natural. And, most importantly, my eyes didn’t hate it. It felt fine, and all day I forgot I was wearing it. The one gripe I have with it though, is that within the first hour it began rubbing off underneath my eyes, which really sucks because I love everything else about this mascara. It proceeded to do so on and off throughout the day, and honestly it’s like most of it faded off. Due to that, l probably won’t continue to use it. I wanted this to be my HG, but it was kind of a miss due to the way the formula rubbed off and faded. I’m glad I got the mini to trial it instead of the regular size, which retails for $28.

Are Chapped 👄 LIPS, chapping your hide?
I am a lip balm ADDICT. Even in the summertime I use it multiple times daily. So as you can imagine I’ve tried A LOT of different kinds. And this is what I’ve learned. 1. Avoid scents. 2. Avoid the typical Nivea and Blistex types, they may soothe at the time, but it’s only topical they do not sink in - so you’ll find yourself constantly re-applying. 3. Lip balm is your best friend for naturally beautiful lips big or small, especially during 🥶❄️ Then I started seeing Kosas - Port LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip Balm all over Instagram and decided to give it a shot, and boy am I ever glad I did!! The hyaluronix acid sinks in to your lips giving you hours and hours of hydration! No word of a lie, since I started using Kosas Lip Fuel - my lips have never chapped again. But it comes back if you don’t continue using it daily! And the Kosas - Limited Edition Port Lipfuel Extra-Strength Lip Balm With Flora + Bast CBD and Hyaluronic Acid is extra soothing and hydrating; the CBD and flora give it that extra lasting hydration too 🥰 So do your lips a service this winter, and gear up with Kosas Lip Fuel! 💋

My trick for completely covering dark circles!🙈
I have always had pretty prominent dark circles due to genetics and no doubt lack of sleep! Through a ton of trial and error I have found a routine and products that work really well for me to cover my dark circles almost completely (I do have slight hallows which makes it look like a dark circle). Surprising I use 4-5 products to achieve this look. •First I use a warm (as in orangey) red lipstick. Yes, lipstick. It counteracts the blueish tones under your eyes. Trust me. This is the step that is a game changer. I use Kosas - Weightless Lip Color but any warm toned red lipstick will work. I mainly focus this on the inner part of my eye where I have the most darkness. (I also use this under my nostrils because I have slight shadowing there). •I next use BECCA - Under Eye Brightening Corrector and it is much lighter and peachier than the lipstick. This is great to use on top of the lipstick to blend together. It is much more emollient and easier to work with. This has light reflecting particles to help brighten the eye even further. •I then use two concealers on top of those. Currently I am using a light shade of DOSE OF COLORS - Meet Your Hue Concealer This concealer is easy to work with. Super creamy and has minimal creasing. I only apply a small dot to my inner eye with this one. •I then use a warmer-more yellow shade (Snow) of Too Faced - Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer on the outer edge of my eye and in the mid part of my cheek (this allows for a brightened inner face and less product under the eye the better). I then use a beauty blender to blend these two completely. Blend up under the eye and out the inner corner as well. •My last step is to set this all down!! My favorite powders to use are laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder and Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder Both are great for setting the face. I like to bake with the LM powder since it is a loose powder and it’s easier to use product. Hope this helps. 🥰 #cheriepartner

Easy 10 MIN makeup look. Out the door!
I’m all about finding easy natural looking makeup looks. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good glam session, but most times I am pressed for time and need to get out the door. These are some of my go-to products for times like that! Minimal but still a really pretty makeup look! I have combo skin, and right now my tone is light-medium! For a quick look I’m all about time efficiency! I use Perricone MD - No Makeup Foundation Serum Broad Spectrum SPF 20 for a quick sheen finish and evening out my skin (I have some hyperpigmentation spots). This stuff is really great. It’s really lightweight and it genuinely looks like you aren’t wearing any makeup! I would almost compare it to Ilia Beauty’s skin tint but this one is not oily at all. I prefer the perricone one more! I like to use the Kosas - 10-Second Eyeshadow for a quick one sweep over the eye. It is truly a liquid formula but it dries down to a matte. There is minimal creasing, but there still is some. #Laura Mercier - Blush[products]#[FiveStars] in the shade fresco is the perfect nude blush for me. It has a sheen shimmery finish but it doesn’t look gawdy or overdone. It is perfect to shape out your face and I can even put this one my eyes for a pretty nude eye look also. Glossier. - Brow Flick is what I use on my brows because it gives the perfect “brow strokes.” It’s so easy to use but you have to have a very light hand to make sure it is not over done! I’ve been using false lashes because they’re easy to use and makes the look complete! ARDELL - Wispies Lash they’re cheap and can be done in under a minute! Hope you liked this look! #cheriepartner

A full face in just 10 minutes!
Happy Friday, cherie fam! I don’t know about you, but my friday makeup tends to be especially quick and easy. Anyone who has a zoom call with me on fridays can deal with it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) I wanted to share the makeup I put on this morning in just under ten minutes! The finished look is casual, put together, and glowy, and my real skin is still visible under the light makeup. Basic info about my skin: I’m oily and acne prone, and my main concerns right now are dark circles and hyperpigmentation from acne. I also have sparse brows and I like to fill them in—if I do nothing else, I’ll do my brows because I feel naked without them 😂 Here’s a step by step, including all the products I used: First, I apply a few drops of the Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation all over my face, blending it into my hairline and neckline. I’ve reviewed this before, so I won’t go into detail here, but I love it! I just spread it and pat it in with my fingers—no beauty blender/brush needed. Next, I use the Kosas - Revealer Super Creamy + Brightening Concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes. Scroll back a few posts for my thoughts on this concealer and why it’s worth repurchasing! Third, I apply the cream blush from the Kosas - Color & Light: Cream Blush & Highlighter Duo on the apples of my cheeks. I usually use a brush, but I can use my fingers in a pinch. I have the color Helios and it’s such a beautiful deep orange shade. The formula itself is very creamy and nourishing—it really feels like skincare AND makeup. I set everything with a light dusting of the Milk MAKEUP - Blur + Set Matte Loose Setting Powder . I love this powder, and it’s lasting me FOREVER even with daily use, but I desperately want them to improve the packaging 😩 The mesh makes it difficult to get the product out at times. I do my brows with a few quick swipes of the Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel , my holy grail brow gel. This is the only product on my brows and LOOK how it fills them in! I do a quick coat of the bareMinerals - Lashtopia Mega Volume Mineral-Based Mascara to add length and volume to my lashes. This mascara last alllll day without flaking at all on me. Last, I swipe on some nooni - Appleberry Lip Oil , and I’m done! I LOVE this tinted oil—it feels very hydrating without being sticky, and it’s an incredible bargain compared to other tinted lip oils out there (I got it for $12 on amazon). It has a pink tint and a subtle berry flavor. And that’s it! All of these products are so simple to use, making them perfect for a quick and easy makeup look. #CheriePartner

Top 5 in 2020
1.) Product- Kosas - The Sun Show Bronzer I love everything about this product. Especially because I can wear this product with a full-face makeup or a no makeup day. 2.) Trend- Clean beauty! This year, clean brands had their moment and I hope it continues that way. I got to try new brands and products and discovered new favorites! My favorite clean brand at the moment is def Kosas. 3.) My Best Look – Earlier this year, I went on Facebook live and did my makeup just for fun. I ended up LOVING how my makeup turned out. I wish I remembered which products I used. 4.) Favorite Creator on Cherie - @D.Bennettlove all the content! 💕 5.) Something I learned – I don’t think I necessarily learned any tricks or tips specifically this year regarding to my skincare or makeup. Something that I did learn though is how important my beauty routine is to me. As soon as the quarantine started this year and I started working from home, my “me” time was kind of wiped away. My “me” time is me doing my makeup everyday in the morning to start my day. I truly enjoy doing my skin care routine and makeup because it helps me wake up and I also get to look how I feel that day, be colorful, etc. Doing my makeup is therapeutic for me, it helps me prepare mentally and physically for difficult, exciting, or busy days! I have started to do my makeup more often while I’m home, so I’m starting to feel more like myself now. Yay!

Is the mini Kosas Wet Lip Oil Set Worth It?
I’d like to discuss both the mini trio set and the lip oil in general. The pigment is more noticeable in person btw 😬 I’ve been eyeing down Kosas ever since getting their Kosas - Kosasport Lipfuel in a Clean Makeup Set from Sephora Favourites & falling in love with the formula and the product design! I’ll be honest, for a long time I didn’t care much to try these particular oils for some reason, but after seeing them enough times by influencers on IG, and seeing that Kosas - The Wet Set Clean Lip Oil Trio was available to try a little bit of everything, I decided to go ahead with it. But that’s the thing, this mini trio set is really just a way to try a little bit of everything. Sometimes brands with mini sets provide a generous enough amount of product nonetheless, but not these guys. There’s 2ml of product in each tube, which for me also poses a bit of a sustainability issue since the tube design is quite big for what it actually carries. The original size is 4.6ml and and the tube does not look like it’s double the size, from what I remember. Some say that this lip oil runs out in a few applications & for some reason the Jellyfish one came 3/4 full compared to the other two full tubes. This trio set was $33 CAD, which I thought was a decent deal to get to try different shades before investing $36CAD into a full size. I think if you’re more decisive and have a better idea of what you’re looking for, just go ahead and buy the shade(s) you actually want. I personally didn’t need to try the Jellyfish (clear) as I already know that I like clear lipgloss in general. But I’m happy to have been able to try the shades in Dip (neutral pearly nude), which is basically a MLBB kinda shade for me, & the infamous Jaws (“warm red” but almost reddish orange IMO). Because I love me some nudes, if I were to purchase a full size it’d have to be Dip, but it would have to be on ✨ SALE ✨ bc $36CAD on a lip oil gloss WHOOOO?! Not I 🙅🏽‍♀️ Price and size aside, the formula of the Kosas - Wet Lip Oil Gloss is actually quite nice. It’s meant to both be a treatment and gloss. It’s non sticky and makes the lips feel smooth even about an hour into wearing this stuff, although the pigment doesn’t last forever. The key ingredients are hydrating hyaluronic acid, plumping peptides, and protecting evening primrose oil. Perfect for the winter season 🥶 as it allows you to forget chapped lips and still comfortably wear colour. The scent is subtle, with a reminiscence to orange creamsicles which makes me feel fun 💋 #CheriePartner

10 min Makeup - Quick Morning Transformation🧚🏽
I’m technically working from home again. I spent the last couple of weeks working in film production, so I didn’t even have a chance to do anything for myself since ~16 hrs of my day were focused on getting to/from work & being present there. Now that I’m home more, it’s important for me to still treat myself like I’m going somewhere... because I am towards my destiny, finding a way to turn my passion into a career 😅 and it’s nice to look “nice, presentable” or whatever for yourself, even at home... if we’ve learned anything during quarantine, amirite? So here’s what I look like waking up to what a few mins of tending to myself with products looks like ✨ It’s not a huge change, but it definitely perks me up! Also before anyone starts, glasses are cute AF but sometimes I feel like they hide my face, especially in photos! ... even though that’s the reason I got rimless glasses 🤣 Anyways, I started by undoing my overnight braids with a little bit of the GRAYDON - Intimacy Oil on my fingers to “lubricate” the hair strands and give em a little sheen. Then I started my face off with some Glossier. - Haloscope Dew Effect Highlighter in Topaz and Glossier. - Niteshine Highlighter Concentrate in Copper (I like to use this as a bronzer, slight contour) I used the ĀETHER BEAUTY - Crystal Charged Cheek Palette as both highlighter, blush AND the main eyeshadow to brighten my lids. Speaking of eyeshadow, MISMACK - Large ART Shadow in 'Shade' and Pure Anada - Grape Pressed Eye in Espresso we’re used for definition. Then I finished my upper face with Milk MAKEUP - KUSH High Volume Mascara and Milk MAKEUP - KUSH Fiber Brow Gel . To both add a little pigment and hydrate my lips, I used my fave lip balm Kosas - Kosasport Lipfuel in Pulse.

Easily one of my favourite new bronzers. Kosas recently came out with these Sun Show Bronzers in 3 shades and they’re lovely. I wear the Light and it’s a beautiful warm toned shade. They do have a bit of shimmer in them, but it comes off very glowy and almost highlight-esque. They blend like butter and feel amazing on!

Kosas - 10-Second Eyeshadow These are like water in a bottle, so liquid and unique. You have to shake it before applying and it has a little doefoot applicator. I like to apply it right to my eye and blend it with my finger. It’s very sheer at first but you can build it up a little. The shade globe is a nice bronze shade, very good for an everyday look. I love these for a little wash of color but they just aren’t enough for a nighttime look. They don’t stay very well when my eyelids are a bit sweaty but it’s also very easy to reapply if needed. It’s more for days under 6 hours or maybe not oily eyelids!

Kosas’ Vegas lipstick is a warm nude and comes in adorable white packaging, setting it apart from the rest of the line. While it is a beautiful color, it’s a bit too warm on me and looks brown instead of looking more nude. The formula of these lipsticks is incredible – smooth, creamy and comfortable to wear all day. The Kosas LipFuel Hyaluronic Lip Balm in the shade “Pulse” is a sheer warm tan. This lip balm is packed with great ingredients for your lips, like, hyaluronic acid, wild mint, and konjac root. These ingredients work to protect your lips from the environment, moisturizer and smooth the lips. I think this tinted lip balm is perfect for no makeup days or if you want something that is easy to apply without a mirror. I love that this formula is buildable, so you can get a sheer wash of color or opaque coverage. I was gifted the shade “baseline” from the brand and had used it for a few months. I loved the formula so much that I then grabbed this tinted shade in “pulse”. I find that this lip balm has a gel like consistency. It really does hydrate the lips and makes them both look and feel plump and smooth. I’d highly recommend the LipFuel if you’re in the market for a lip balm that works. The only thing I would change about this product is the packaging, I wish it wasn’t as messy as lip balm can build up around the edges. However, I will continue to love and use this product because of the amazing formula.
