Which facial oil should I use? 😤
Who would’ve thought that facial oils would be a thing we’d put on our face?! Weren’t we trying to avoid having oily skin? Before I started getting into skincare, I never used facial oils before. So, when I dove into the world, I didn’t know where to start. There’s so many on the market that it’s hard to pinpoint which ones truly do work and which ones are just veggie oil in a bottle 😭 Here are 3 facial oils I’ve tried & my experience with them. Hopefully you’ve tried them before, too! And, if not, then what you waiting for sis?! 1. from plants - OMG Facial Oil this facial oil by from plants is one of my favorite lightweight oils out there. Because it’s so lightweight, I’ve managed to use it during the AM when I’m just staying home. This facial oil contains: Apricot kernel oil: helps to moisturize while slowing signs of aging Rose hip, lavender and pumpkin oil: boosts collagen production and reduces inflammation Turmeric oil: targets pores and calms skin from breakouts This is a great facial oil for anyone looking to have a nutrient packed product without having to add additional ingredients onto your face. 2. KORA - Noni Glow Face Oil one of my favorite oils of all time! This facial oil does exactly as it says: GLOW ✨ I’ve also used this in the AM and have gone out with it on. All day glow, ladies, trust me. This facial oil contains: Noni extract, rosehip oil, pomegranate oil and sea buckthorn: all combined are meant to create a rich source of antioxidants and fatty acids to your skin! This is more pricey being $68 but the results were well worth it. If you want a similar product, let’s head below 👇🏼 3. sbâèk - Globe Trotter Facial Oil this facial oil is slightly thicker than the noni facial oil so I use it in the PM. It is unavailable on the market BUT a great alternative is THE inkey LIST - Squalane Oil which offers the same result for me. It produces soft and supple skin while also targeting inflammation, great for restorative measures!

Are we into the Dolphin Skin Trend?
Dewy skin is here to stay and one Instagram makeup trend that’s really highlighting it is the Dolphin Skin Trend. Inspired by the slippery skin of a dolphin, the trend involves layering hydrating makeup products to mimic that wet fresh-from-the-sea glimmer with lots of highlight while also achieving a natural-looking glam. To start, it’s recommended to prep the skin with a thick moisturizer and/or oil followed by a hydrating, glow-inducing primer. From there, it’s best to use lightweight complexion products with a luminous finish in order to keep the glow strong while also allowing your natural texture to shine through. Then, it’s time for the highlight. Makeup artists recommend opting for crème formulas like balms for a radiant and sleek look. For me, I’ll prep the areas I want to have an extra shine with Glossier’s FutureDew, which is a thick oil-serum hybrid that is designed to make the skin really hydrated and glowy – it can make you breakout if you’re prone to breakouts or wear too much. Then, I’ll add drops of KORA Organics’ Noni Glow Face Oil to my Kosas Tinted Face Oil for an added glow. The oil is a little thick so you don’t really need that much to get the perfect dew. Kosas doesn’t have the best shade range so it’s not the best brand for everyone, but I think it’s Tinted Face Oil is really hydrating and dewy. My new favorite thing is to apply my foundation with a big fluffy concealer brush to help get a seamless finish. If I need more coverage, I’ll go in with a little sweep of Glossier’s Stretch Concealer because of its dewy finish on the skin. It’s really lightweight and can kind of make you look greasy if you have oily skin. Experimenting with different highlight textures can easily amplify the look – I like to start with a balm like Tower 28’s SuperDew Highlight Balm, which is super lightweight and leaves a gorgeous glow, and then follow up either Tarte’s Skin Gloss Glass, which is like liquid gold but sometimes it makes me breakout – my skin is acne-prone and doesn’t really react well to heavy makeup products. I like the overall vibe of the trend but wouldn’t always wear two highlights but I’m into the finished product! Products used: For prep & complexion: Glossier. - Futuredew Oil Serum Hybrid Kosas - Tinted Face Oil Foundation KORA - Noni Glow Face Oil Glossier. - Stretch Concealer For highlight: TOWER 28 - SuperDew Highlighter Balm tarte - Skin Gloss Glass Highlighter

EYE CREAM! Dry, eczema, dark, wrinkle prone eyes
So nothing has been working for your eye concerns? Yep, me too... until I found these holy grail products! Let’s get down to the details. I suffer from eczema mostly on and around my eyes. It’s painful, red, and burns. I’ve tried it all and other eye creams would burn and irritate my skin even more. Along with eczema I have the typical fine lines, dark circles, and puffy eyes. WELL, I found the perfect fit for my sensitive skin. DR ROEBUCK'S - Down Under Collagen Boosting Eye Treatment The first eye cream I’ve ever tried that doesn’t burn and actually helps my concerns. + calming, NO BURNING! + CLEAN & VEGAN. + rich luxurious texture. + specifically for nighttime, but I use in the AM too. + hyaluronic acid to really help dry under eyes and fine lines. + collagen boosting so it firms up your skin. + caffeine to perk up those tired eyes! + Rosehip boosts collagen + BASICALLY, targets all biggest concerns we typically have. Darkness, dryness, wrinkles, aging! + great for eczema! Made my eczema and dry patches go away. + recycled packaging. - expires after 6 months so you need to make sure to use it up in time. $38 but worth it! Did you know you can layer hydration for your under eyes? Add a eye oil right on top! I love the KORA - Noni Radiant Eye Oil + easy application with a roll on bottle. Fits right into the under eyes. + dry oil type, it absorbs quickly. + really helps dryness, dullness, and rough texture. + essentially smooths, brightens, and hydrates! + dark circles are minimized. + LOVE this to prep for my concealer. Concealer LSU’s down much smoother and looks a lot more natural. + Noni fruit, tomato fruit, & marine bamboo extracts to perk up the eyes! + roller ball is made out of rose quartz! * I have nothing bad to say about this one. It’s easy application and works! $38 best when bought in a kora organics set. Extra eye cream tips!!: Make sure you are putting your eye products in after all serums and right before moisturizer. use your ring finger to tap in or rub in product as softly as possible. The ring finger is the lightest (in weight/pressure) finger we have so it will minimize tug on our sensitive and wrinkle prone skin around the eyes.

Kora Oils
This brand is for sure one of my favorites. All products are energized with rose quartz to pass on the vibrations of love with every application 💗💗. While that might not be for everyone, just the fact that they put that much care into making sure each person gets the best product they can provide, little details like that make me more inclined to spend my money. Not only that, all products are formulated without any sulfates, parabens, synthetic fragrance, synthetic colors, T.E.A., D.E.A., glycols, silicones, PEGs. ethoxylate and formaldehyde free performance | full star | even skin tone & texture, great for all skin types with being thin and easy to absorb yet super hydrating texture | full star | lightweight, non-greasy, sink right in to the skin scent | full star | heavenly! Fresh, floral, yet subtle packaging | full star | super cute rose gold accents on screw tops, love how the the bottles are sandblasted so the oils don’t create a slippery aftermath, recyclable glass bottles and boxes, minimal verbiage and clutter on bottles and boxes ingredients | full star | 99% naturally derived organic ingredients in eye and face oil, 67% organic ingredients in body oil with second ingredient & only not organic, no irritation from essential oils value | full star | because they actually work, I’m giving it a full star. Comparable prices to similar products/brands, but more care with ingredients, transparency and quality. $68 face, $58 body, $38 eye I love applying the body oil on damp skin in the shower, feel like it absorbs all the way while I do my skincare routine, then I don’t get any residual on clothing. I also only use the eye oil at night, it’s not ideal for makeup application.

Clearly I am a sucker for clean skincare. I’ve tried many many products but these, work for me. Once a week I use the innisfree - Super Volcanic Clusters Pore Clearing Clay Mask on the parts of my face that’s covered by a Face mask and the upper portion I use TATCHA - Violet-C Radiance Mask and leave it on for 15 min then rinse off. Sunscreen is a absolute must! Even if I’m staying home I make it a habit to use sunscreen so that I know to never forget it.

Skin care journey
First post on this app! But I wanted to share my skincare journey. I never really had crazy issues with my skin but working at Sephora I always get new products to try and noticed more and more blemishes. First 2 pics are in July of 2019, last 2 pics were from a month ago. My skin used to always be combo dehydrated so I started using some rich moisture products, I’ll list them below. But after a few months I noticed my skin started breaking out more. I started talking to my skincare specialist and found out that I used too many oils/ rich creams and NOT enough water. So there is such a thing as rich in moisture and not enough hydration. Basically you always want to implement water into your skin, if it’s not drinking a ton of water (which I was) its using products that are more water based. Cleanser :GLAMGLOW - Supercleanse Clearing Cream-to-Foam Cleanser to innisfree - Green Tea Hydrating Cleansing Foam Moisturizer: TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream to innisfree - Intensive Hydrating Cream with Green Tea Seed am use. Kate Somerville - DeliKate Recovery Cream PM use. Toner: I didn’t use toners before but now I do. During the day I use innisfree - Green Tea Seed Intensive Hydrating Toner and for nighttime use OLE HENRIKSEN - Glow2OH Dark Spot Toner Serum: JOSIE MARAN - Argan Beta Retinol Pink Algae Serum to innisfree - Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum paired with KORA - Noni Bright Vitamin C Serum for AM use. KORA - Noni Night AHA Resurfacing Serum for PM use. These products did a shift on my skin, I continue to do my exfoliations using my Clarisonic but haven’t found the right exfoliator as I still have a bit of sensitive skin. I still use a some rich creams but only for nighttime use. But after a huge change I noticed my skin is getting a tad bit better but it’s still a long journey ahead of me. *ps I know there’s a difference in lighting but my skin does look better now as it did a few months ago.

My exfoliator series!!
I loveeeee to exfoliate and address one of my biggest skin concerns, texture. I’m just starting my skin care journey and these three were my first pick ups. Turmeric and apple cider vinegar are some of my favorite ingredients in cooking and also hair care. Turmeric is a great anti inflammatory and antioxidant and is known as a brightened of the skin as well. Apple cider vinegar has been known to treat blood pressure and also scalp conditions so I thought it would be a great gentle exfoliate for my face. Let’s start with the turmeric exfoliating mask. This mixed physical exfoliation with chemical. It has rosehip seeds and quartz which you can physically work in after leaving the mask on for awhile. The Bha comes from aspen bark and papaya. My skin does feel slightly softer after using this but not enough to pay 48 again. The brightening effect is minute as well. Now the Apple cider vinegar pads come in a box for 72(ridiculous) and a smaller sample box for 12. Thank god I got the sample because this did nothing for me. Maybe the acid is too gentle but I was extremely disappointed. Guess I will continue to ingest it via the gummies to get the benefits Finally, we have wishful yo glow which I will repurchase. It uses aha and bhas only and really smooths out my skin. It is reasonably priced at 39 and is available as a mini for 21. My downside is that it is heavily fragranced and it took time for me to cope with that. The product balls up and it isn’t dead skin alone but I believe the cellulose in the product clings to dead skin cells which I clearly see as the product which is white will turn grayish brown as I work it into my skin. Did I rant or what lol, I will continue my hunt for the perfect exfoliators for my collection and update u guys as I try them

Turmeric brightening and exfoliating face mask
The newest addition to my @koraorganics family✨ I also have an empty bottle of my Noni glow face oil and 3 (not Instagrammable) empty tubes of the turmeric brightening and exfoliating mask on the side. Yes, They’re both THAT good! Disclaimer: it’s very easy to misunderstand the purpose of the turmeric mask. At first, It looks like your typical mechanical scrub and you’d be tempted to use it as such. Please don’t! You need to use this product as a mask to properly experience all its benefits. In addition to the brightening properties of the turmeric, the mask contains papaya enzymes and Aspen bark, amazing at unclogging pores and fighting acne causing bacteria. If your skin is relatively resilient, try doing what I like to call “masking sprints”, a fun challenge that consists of using the same mask every night for a week. One of my most successful masking sprints was getting to experience the brightening and skin softening properties of the turmeric brightening and exfoliating mask👌🏼✨🥰 What was your@koraorganics Experience like? Any hits? Any misses?KORA - Turmeric BHA Brightening Treatment Mask

Budget products under 💰40 👀
KORA - Balancing Rose Mist I love giving myself a budget because I tend to go overboard with make up purchases if I do not give myself a budget. With make up, because of how quickly we go through them, they can add up really quickly. I’ve since learned to shop on a budget and am always on the lookout for great deals. Two products that I love under $40, is Kora Organics’s Balancing Rose Mist and Philosophy’s Renewed Hope in a Jar. These two are great products that help resolve dryness in your skin. I for one have always had dry skin issues and am always open to trying new products that would help me relieve my dryness. philosophy - Renewed Hope In A Jar Dry Philosophy’s moisturizing cream does wonders for my skin. It has a nice fruity smell and the cream isn’t too thick which makes it feel nicer on your skin. Thicker creams tend to steer me away because of how heavy it feels on your skin after application, so this cream being not too thick is very nice. Kora’s mist is a very nice refresher to refresh your skin throughout the day. Gently spray on your face can keep your skin hydrated and refresh your entire mood. The cool mist on your face makes you feel very good, so not only is your skin getting hydrated, but you can also feel the hydration. Both of these being under $40, is definitely a plus and helps keep it available for anyone who is working on a budget. There are definitely more expensive alternatives that may work better, but for the price, these definitely get the job done!

Kora Mists
I don’t use the rose mist, because I cannot stand the smell. Citrus is currently my morning mist and lavender my night mist. I may or may not use them as a refresher “perfume”, because they just smell so effing good. performance | full star | love how easy these are, super light, sinks into the skin, but doesn’t dry super quick texture | full star | the PERFECT fine mist scent | full star | citrus and lavender smell soooo good, not too overpowering, but just the right ratio of essential oils. I hated the smell of the rose (don’t know why, normally love rose scents, but not this one, verrry old lady musty flowers rather than typical rose) packaging | .75 star | obsessed with rose gold accents lately, plus how cute are these pastels?? Not a fan of the plastic bottles though ingredients | .75 star | still unsure how I feel about sodium PCA since it’s not from organic origin value | .75 star | mists are such an obscure price range. Would give a full star if bottles were glass Total 5.25 Stars

This is my first and only product from Kora Organics and I’m impressed. My combination skin seems to not mind an oil based eye treatment. A little under my eyes is all I need to prevent dry, wrinkly under eyes. I’ve been using this eye oil for over a year and it is my absolute favorite alongside Drunk Elephant’s Shaba Eye Cream.

My newest obsession for the under eye area is koraorganics Noni Radiant Eye Oil. I’ve been cursed with ridiculously dry under eyes and have yet to find the perfect eye cream ( although the volition Helix Eye Gel is pretty fantastic), but I’m so, so impressed with this product. It’s super light and almost feels like a dry oil. I love it at night, but using it pre-makeup is phenomenal! My concealer goes on so beautifully when I use this oil - no creasing, no flaking, just a perfectly smooth canvas. The applicator alone is worth buying this product for. The rose quartz roller ball is so refreshing & cooling, no matter how many times you swipe - no refrigeration necessary. The Noni Eye Oil has officially earned holy grail status for me. I’m still, however, on the hunt for the perfect eye cream. Recommendations welcome below. ✨

A bit of koraorganics . This was a miniature tester kit from spacenk containing the Daily Ritual Kit for oily/combination skin types as I was recommended the products from this line by a blogger friend. Designed to manage difficult oily skin types, the kit works to bring over production of oil in the skin back into balance whilst still ensuring it is not stripped of essential moisture that even oily skin needs. The kit provides a lovely little taster session into this new to the UK range. A great way of trying the products before investing in the fuller sizes.
