GAME-CHANGING TIPS FOR THE PERFECT MANI 💅🏻💖✨
Everyone always wants to know how I manage to keep my nails looking healthy & freshly painted every time they see me. And no, I don’t just paint my nails every time before seeing them. It’s a whole process and habit that I’ve curated for the healthiest strongest nail routine! These are all things that I do and have learned from listening to pro nail artists, from nail care brands, etc.: 1) For a mani that always looks fresh and glossy, repaint your Top Coat every 2-3 days to keep up the shine! You can turn a slightly buffed nail back to it’s glossy glory days easily. This way, your nails will always look like they’ve just been painted and it also prevents chipping! I love my OLIVE&JUNE - Nail Polish Topcoat - it dries fast and looks super shiny. 2) When prepping your nails for your next manicure, shape and cut your nails with your old polish still on! This way, you can easily visualize the shape of your mani without getting distracted or thrown off by your natural nail line. 3) Use a cuticle oil, treatment, or serum! This will help promote healthy growth of your nail, keep away any dry cuticle bits around your nails and always complement your mani with smooth, beautiful cuticles! I love OLIVE&JUNE - Cuticle Serum Set - it’s super lightweight and absorbs quickly into the skin so goodbye greasy fingers! 4) More on the cuticles, try not to cut or trim your cuticles- push them back gently with your nail or a cuticle stick instead! But make sure your cuticles have been softened (like a few minutes after applying a cuticle serum or right after a shower). This is something my grandma taught me when I was very young. By gently maintaining your cuticles with this method, your cuticles will never over grow to the point where you need to trim them! Once you start cutting/trimming them, it’s really hard to stop. 5) If you struggle to keep you hand still while painting your nails, try Olive&June’s Manicure Tool, Poppy! It’s a rubber removable tool that fits over most nail polish handles and its ergonomic shape guides you to make smoother and more even strokes! OLIVE&JUNE - The Poppy Manicure Tool 6) Keep up the hand cream! I keep it on my bedside table as a visual reminder to put some on. If you want a super rich one, try L'OCCITANE - Shea Butter Hand Cream ! But if you want something more lightweight and not as thick/sticky feeling after applying, try OLIVE&JUNE - Olive&June Hand Serum ! This will really help moisturize and nourish your hands daily. 7) Use an oil-based, acetone/alcohol-free nail polish remover. An oil-based one like ella+mila - Soy Nail Polish Remover Unscented will help to nourish nails your nails while removing nail polish instead of stripping them of its natural oils! *I know I mention Olive&June a lot but I just want to mention I’m not sponsored by them, I just truly love their products!

&Other stories hand cream=Hermes???
L’Occitane and &Other stories are two different brands, one is producing professional hand cream or body lotion, but the other one is a general store, and mainly focus on the clothing. I want to tell you guys today that the hand cream of &other stories is really good! I bought the smell of Havana blues. I never find the similar flavor in any other brands. It costs only $5, 30ml.The taste perfectly presents the perfume from terre d’Hermes, which smells neural with a clear tone of lemon. It's a little oily when just applied to your hands, but after 1-2 minutes, the oil will disappear and will be absorbed quickly. Your hand can feel highly hydrated. I usually use it before I go to bed at night. L’Occitane ,a well-known brand. This one is the taste of sweet sakura. Price is more than twice than &other stories, it costs $12. However, compared with &other stories, the texture of L’Occitane is more hydrating, which can make the skin present a very moisturizing luster. The flavor is the fresh sakura, and has kind of spring feeling. L'OCCITANE - Shea Butter Hand Cream Compare both of them, I highly recommend &other stories,Havana Blues. Cheaper price and amazing flavor. Although there are more flavors to choose from L’Occitane, none of the them are attractive than Havana Blues. It’s so addictive!!!

L’occitane almond line
Like I was saying in my Shea butter review this almond line from L’occitane is amazing too! Yes smell is amazing, only downside is the milk concentrate is not as moisturizing as say the Shea body butter which makes sense because you can’t beat Shea body butter. The almond body oil is something sent from heaven it smells heavenly and when I put it on my body after my shower then put the Shea body butter on I just have the most nourished skin a dry girl could ask for. Amazing duo, sad part is the body oil is expensive as heck for a full size and I could see myself going through it within 2 months maybe 3 if I’m lucky The almond hand cream smells amazing duh, and it does moisturize my hands very well, however for severely dry cracked hands I would say go the Shea butter hand cream route. Still great product though The almond shower oil, now this is amazing too, it doesn’t lather a whole lot but enough to get the job done, very soft very good smell too. Like I said with the Shea butter shower oil if you shaved with these shower oils your legs would be soooo smooth. 5/5 the entire almond line smells like heaven, it’s just very expensive I can’t justify the price since I’m a college student and with what’s going on in the world I don’t have a lot of money to spend right now. My top picks from L’occitane are: Shea body butter, Shea hand cream, almond body oil and shower oil, Shea shower oil too, Shea light face cream What I’m dying to try is their almond body balm that looks to die for

My skincare products and routine : any thoughts?
Hi loves, so even though I already have a pretty good routine for my skin, I feel like I still have so much to learn and therefore maybe other adjustments to do with my habits to really have a good and effective routine for my skin! Here’s what I usually do : (this is for someone who has combination skin; the t-zone gets oily, other parts tend to be dry and sometimes even sensitive; i never had major acne too so i wouldn’t label myself as “acne-prone skin” type of gal🤷🏻‍♂️) 1) CLEANSE : I wash my face with the acne wash by Benzagel Benzagel - Acne Wash ** If I run out of product : I use another cleanser from Alya alya skin. - Foaming Micellar Cleanser *** After one of the products listed here, I use the cleansing butter from Wishful to remove excess oils/makeup before anything else! HUDA BEAUTY - Clean Genie Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm 2) EXFOLIATE/SCRUB : I exfoliate my skin (1-2 times a week) with Wishful products HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub 3) Tone : I’m still pretty new to the “skincare” world and I never toned my skin up until today so feel free to suggest/recommend me products you tried and/or heard of that were good, that’d be great 👼🏻💓 4) Essence : I use to put some of the serums of L’Occitane en Provence to replace the essence I still don’t have! Then again, feel free to suggest me products you think would work!! Thanks 💓 5) Serum : I ran out of the product itself but usually I was using (like mentioned before) L’Occitane en Provence’s serum and it really felt nice on my skin! L'OCCITANE - Peony Perfecting Essence 5.1) Serum #2 : I can also switch with L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Overnight Reset Oil-in-Serum 6) Moisturize : I’m using Wishful’s product called HUDA BEAUTY - Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer and it really feels nice on my skin! 7) Sunscreen : Right after moisturizing my skin, it’s recommended to directly apply sunscreen on top of the moisturizer of Wishful (or HUDA BEAUTY) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Lotion SPF 60 8) Oil : Even though I had the sample version of the actual thing, I’m currently working with L’Occitane en Provence’s youth oil, which leaves my skin shiny and cute 🥰 L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Divine Youth Oil 9) Eye cream (or gel): Apparently it’d be nice for me to use some eye cream (based on the analysis that Cherie provides me) but I’m not currently using and not so sure of which products I should/shouldn’t be using! Then again, if you know any good stuff that’d work perfectly with my type of skin, let me know in the comments!! That’s all for me, I know I don’t have the perfect skincare routine but I’m ready to consider any constructive feedback on the thing(s) I could try/do/change to improve it! Thanks, have a good one 💓

My Serum Awards
Revive Anti-Aging Serum It is like an iron to minimize the appearance of wrinkles and even remove them. Within the first week of using I noticed a slight difference in tone, texture and overall appearance in my skin. The second week I saw a slight reduction in my fine lines. After a month of using the anti-aging serum, I could clearly see the change of my skin to be less sagging. The product seems to have a cumulative effect that gets better with time and continues using. It is really helpful with facial retightening, collagen regeneration and desired facial contour creation. This is why I gave it the best serum for anti-aging. L’OCCITANE Immortelle Reset Serum It is an overnight reset oil-in-serum. After using it, my skin felt so hydrated immediately. It glides on smoothly, absorbs quickly and is non-greasy. I had a hard time with extreme combination skin, very oily T-zone with flaky dry cheek. It solved both problems for me and helped my skin retain moisture when used diligently. It works to moisturize without clogging my pores deeply. So, I gave this serum the award for dryness. La Mer The Concentrate This is my favorite serum because it clams my skin! I have had terrible acne for over two years and have scars from that entire time. This serum soothes my skin and controls breakouts while reducing my acne scars (both pigmentation scars and pitted scarring). Even though I purchased to focus on acne issues, it has also helped with my redness and the patches of dermatitis I got in summer and reduced the lines around my eyes. Hence, I gave this miracle product the best healing serum award.

7 days progress : a clearer skin 👼🏻
Hi loves, Back mid-august, I started noticing breakouts on my face and for someone who usually never had major acne, this was a bit shocking. Luckily, I already had my acne wash by Benzagel (Benzagel - Acne Wash ) which really helped cleaning the overall look of my skin 😇 Then, I decided to re-organize my skin care routine by making sure I was following the right steps in the correct order, by the help of Huda and her IGTV video! Side note : the pictures were from august 16th to august 21st 😚🙏 Since Huda also launched her new skincare brand, I bought her products and they worked so well on my face. HUDA BEAUTY - Clean Genie Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm HUDA BEAUTY - Honey Balm Jelly Moisturizer HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios XL Ultra-Light Fluid SPF 50+ L'OCCITANE - Immortelle Divine Youth Oil The lesson I learned throughout this process was to always take care of your skin and keep in mind that it’s not because you wash/clean/moisturize/etc that hormones can’t cause any breakouts. They’re normal and will leave sooner or later :) Hope this helped x 💓👼🏻🧚🏻 #hudabeauty #skincare #acne #breakout #breakouts #hormones #pores #wrinkles #finelines #darkcircles #undereyecircles #blemishes

Your guide to shine, strong nails | Dos & Donts
Let's talk about NAILCARE today. Follow this simple list of dos and don'ts to show your nails some well-deserved love. ✔️DO: APPLY BOTH A BASE COAT AND A TOP COAT The secret to a long-lasting manicure is to do proper prepping with a base coat and then seal the colour with a top coat. essie - Fast Dry Plus Shine Top Coat, Good to Go essie - First Base Base Coat essie - Matte About You Top Coat These stuffs WORKS WELL!! 🔥 ❌ DON’T: USE TOO MUCH NAIL POLISH This is probably the most common mistake we make at home. Using too much polish, in thick layers, makes it harder for the polish to dry. This can result in bubbles or dents in the colour. Not so pretty! ✔️DO: APPLY NAIL POLISH IN MODERATION Apply two coats of nail polish, using only 3-5 strokes per nail. With less polish on the brush it’s easier to control the final result. And this is crucial: always let the first coat dry completely before applying another. ❌ DON’T: WEAR NAIL POLISH TOO LONG You shouldn’t leave polish on for more than two weeks (or one month on your toenails). The cells in your nails are made of protein and can become damaged from long exposure to nail polish. ✔️ DO: GIVE YOUR NAILS A BREAK Yes, gel nails are fantastic and once you try it, it's hard to stop. While gel nails do look attractive, the process of filing, buffing and UV light to make them look like that can leave your nail very thin and cuticles raw. Let your nails go polish-free every now and then to help the cells re-build. Take some time to treat your nails to some much-needed care.  L'OCCITANE - Shea Nail And Cuticle Oil  works wonders! If I could give this 10 stars I would. The applicator brush is super easy to apply just enough oil without wasting any, the tube is small enough to keep one in your purse and it works quickly on dry, cracked cuticles - I’d say it’s a winner. If you are into L’Occitane’s shea product line, the smell won’t bother you one bit. If you don’t know it, it’s one of the things I love about this line: the smell is fresh, light and hints at baby powder without being too much - it’s lovely. Sharing is caring. 💕

Have you experienced broken nails? I have hacks to fix it! Only 5 min!
I believe that most of us have experienced unfortunate accident result in the breaking, tearing or splitting of a nail. Broken nails can be both painful and unattractive, and while you may think your only option is to cut the nail back to the quick, there's actually a nifty little beauty hack you can try, which takes less than 5 minutes to put your nail back together.  What you will need: A teabag, emptied of tea leaves Clear nail polish Scissors A nail file Step #1  Using the scissors, cut out a small rectangle of fabric from the tea bag that is long enough to cover almost the whole length of your nail, and wide enough to reach both sides of the nail.  Step #2 Push the broken part of your nail back into place as much as is possible, then coat the whole nail in one layer of clear nail polish. While the polish is still wet, lay the rectangle of teabag fabric over your nail, smoothing it out against the polish to enhance it adheres to both the broken part of the nail, and the the rest of your nail.  Step #3 Apply another coat of clear nail polish over the whole nail and the teabag fabric. Wait for it to dry.  Step #4 Us the nail file to file away the excess fabric from the tip of your nail. Step #5 The next step is the regular manicure process and apply your favorite nail polish. In order to avoid broken nails, I'd like to recommend a curticle oil to you guys which is my recent favorite! It's L'OCCITANE - Shea Nail And Cuticle Oil.It's about $20. THIS IS AMAZING. So worth the price, the shea butter infusion in the product is so refreshing to your nails and cuticles. It goes on greasy, but drys to a hand-cream like type of moisturized finish. I wear a lot of press-on nails when I get in drag, and this cuticle oil keeps my nails healthy and refreshed after the constant wear and tear.

💻 my workday essentials 💻
Being at a desk all day can be a real drain on our bodies for so many reasons. We all know sitting for long periods of time is bad for health, but air conditioned office environments can also be extremely drying and hard on our skin. In addition to starting my day off with a hydrating routine, there are a few things I keep at my desk to keep myself refreshed and pampered all day long. 1) Face mist Face mists are the perfect mid-day pick me up. They’re a great way to keep your face hydrated and when I use a face mist I really feel like I’m taking care of myself. So many of them are packed with hydrating ingredients that it’s almost a whole mini skin care routine in itself! 2) Hand Cream I love a good hand cream all the time, but especially these days while we’re washing our hands and sanitizing SO often. I prefer hand creams that are really thick and take a minute or so to sink in...i mean you have to take a break from typing for that right? 3) Lip Balm I use lip balm liberally all. day. long. Hydrated lips make me feel instantly healthier and like my whole body is hydrated! I keep one with me absolutely everywhere I go. In addition to these three essentials, I always have a water bottle on hand because all this external hydration would be wasted if I weren’t also hydrating internally!! I also keep a mini spf at my desk to make reapplying throughout the day easy, especially right before I begin my commute home. How do you practice self-care at your desk or on the go?!

Thankful 😇
The product I am most thankful for is L'OCCITANE - Shea Butter Intensive Hand Balm . The best winter hand treatment by far is this intensive hand balm from Loccitane. The product contains a high concentration of Shea butter making it way more hydrating compared to the brands other hand creams. It creates a protective barrier to help combat the harsh winter cold! Highly recommend this cream for anyone who suffers from cracked, dry hands in the winter. ⁣

Body Lotion: Old Versus New!
I used to be a huge fan of L'Occitane's body lotion. One of my favorites is L'Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate. When I found Nivea express hydration, I replace Almond Milk Concentrate with this one because I feel Nivea really provides high-quality body lotion at a very low price. Nivea’s formula is light with a decent scent of blue lotus. It contains sea minerals. The texture is as heavy as light cream. My skin can absorb it instantly. When applying this lotion, it feels smooth, moisturized, and hydrating but not leave the skin greasy. In changeable weather, the body moisturizer makes my skin soft and stop my body from drying out. The lotion makes my skin soft and silky and it is very nourishing and great to use. L'OCCITANE - Almond Smoothing and Beautifying Milk Concentrate L'Occitane Almond Milk Concentrate used to be my favorite lotion. This luxury body care cream is rich and nourishing enough to smooth and calm the driest roughest skin, including feet, knees, and arms. The almond smell is very strong. This one has a strong fragrance and quick absorbent. The texture is a little bit thicker than Nivea. It soothes and calms my shaved skin and keep moisture all-day. The moisturizer is the best for winter dry skin but a little greasy in summer. I do not buy it anymore because the price is too high when comparing with Nivea, especially when they have very similar functions and texture. I also find this product is heavy and greasy for me in summer because it takes a while to absorb it. I really love it until I found better alternatives for much cheaper.

I tend to get dry skin and patches on my body during winter time and always need extra hydration. L'OCCITANE - Shea Shower Oil is a great addition to my bath routine. It is one of my favorite bath products. It gently cleanses your body and soften your skin. Texture is water like and it foams up nicely. I got this as a gift one Christmas and I’ve been obsessed since then. I really like how supple my skin feels after using this. Price is $25 and it’s totally worth it. I highly recommend this to anyone who has dry skin.

#L’Occitane au Brésil - Brésil[products]#[FiveStars] On a recent trip to Brazil I discovered that L’Occitane launched its own spinoff brand based on Brazilian scents. This perfume is the embodiment of that. They mixed the essential French cologne smell and mixed it with familiar smells you find all over Brazil. The result is this beautiful scent that is light and summery with a slightly wood background. I LOVE this and get compliments everytime I wear it.

L’OCCITANE DELICIOUS TINTED BALM
L’OCCITANE DELICIOUS TINTED BALM
These tinted lip balm pots are dreaaamy. They smell like candy, add a glossy tint and seriously moisturize! I have been keeping one at home and one at work on my desk for touch ups throughout the day. It feels so soft and dewy on the lips, leaving them plumped and comfortable-feeling. I highly recommend these! The only inconvenience is the fact that they’re in pots so you have to stick your finger in it to apply, but I guess it’s because the formula is so soft and emollient!

L'OCCITANE - Terre de Lumière Eau de Parfum My go to winter scent! This perfume has resounding notes of amber and according to Loccitane was modeled after “golden hour”. The packaging certainly matches this concept and the scent is warm and a little bit spicy. It kind of reminds me of Burberry Brit which was my go to perfume in high school, but this one is much more sophisticated!
