OLAPLEX Honest Review-Maybe Not for Me?
Hey guys! So since I decided to bleach my hair I knew that I would need to bring in some heavy duty, intensive treatments for once a month tune-ups. First on my list was OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector . Sooooo idk about this treatment. Either I used it incorrectly or it’s one of those hair products where you might not see and feel a crazy difference but you can tell over time that your hair is stronger, softer, more manageable, etc. I didn’t get that from this. I don’t want to say it wasn’t effective but I can’t honestly say it was. I’m giving it the three stars because I know it is a quality product and have read enough reviews to know. I think I want to try Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Masknext! Who’s tried it?
HOW TO TURN YOUR HAIR FROM THIS🤮 TO THIS😍🔥
My hair care journey has not been easy but over time, I turned my EXTREMELY heat-damaged hair into lively, bouncy curls! Pictured is my current hair care routine, after 3 years of trying various hair products from ALL different brands I think I found my favorite lineup😍 TPH BY TARAJI - Honey Fresh Clarifying Shampoo With Moisture This clarifying shampoo is one of favorites that I’ve tried so far! I suffer from fast product build-up on my scalp, so I usually need to use a clarifying shampoo at least once a week. Something about a shampoo that bubbles makes my scalp feel extra clean 🧼 so I love using this on days where I feel like my No-Poo won’t get the job done. SLS/SLES free, phthalate free, paraben free, mineral oil free, and cruelty free! DevaCurl - No-Poo Original Zero Lather Conditioning Cleanser I wanted to love this product because I heard so much hype about it but it just doesn’t do much for when I feel like I need a wash day😅 Great texture though and my hair never feels stripped after using it! DevaCurl - One Condition Original Daily Cream Conditioner THIS IS MY HOLY GRAIL. Favorite conditioner I’ve ever used and definitely has a large role in my hair journey. My curls love this conditioner! (NOTE: the decadence version of this conditioner is great for super dry hair as well) Alikay Naturals - Lemongrass Leave-in Conditioner This is another one of my ride or die products and I was so surprised to see that it hadn’t been recommended on cherie yet! This detangles my hair so easily and it’s the first thing I spray on my hair when I get out of the shower. Its main ingredient is lemongrass oil that aims to help strengthen hair follicles, promote healthy hair growth, and reduce hair shedding. Highly recommend this product for ALL hair types! Kinky-Curly - Knot Today, Natural Leave In / Detangler This product is okay. When I first bought it, I though it would serve more as a gel to seal my leave in conditioners in but it just doesn’t work as well as DevaCurl - Light Defining Gel Soft Hold No-Crunch Styler . This gel creates the perfect shine and seal for all my moisturizing products that I apply before hand. AND I love that it doesn’t leave a crunchy feeling most gels do. MIELLE - Pomegranate & Honey Leave-In Conditioner Another hair care staple. The smell is fantastic and it slips through my hair like BUTTAH😩 Once my hair dries, I’m left with pillow-soft curls! (NOTE: I apply this after my Alikay Naturals Leave-in spray and top it with my gel) Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask Last but not least, liquid gold in a tub. Man if I could bathe in this mask I would. I use this mask once-twice a week to add some extra richness in my routine!

😍Dupe alert!!!!!!‼️☑️ I know how many people obsess over @briogeo Scalp revival shampoo which is basically a scalp cleansing scrub shampoo and what if I tell you, you can save 35.53$ for almost the exact same product 😍❤️ I love Briogeo Scalp revival shampoo and it's so cool in deep cleansing the scalp and exfoliating it which helps in healthier hair and promoted hair growth. But it was always a little expensive, 42$ for 8 oz. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo I found a similar product at Walmart, @equate Scalp care Exfoliating and Detoxifying shampoo, which read the exact same description as Briogeo one and had the same 8 oz size but was only 6.47$. equate - Scalp Care Exfoliating & Detoxifying Shampoo I was a bit skeptical initially. I purchased it just to try it out and compare whether it really works the same way as Briogeo and to my sweet surprise it did! The formula and texture of both is truly identical. The way they both exfoliate a little and lather up is also similar. 🌾Here's a detailed comparison: 🍂Texture : They both have gritty, charcoal infused creamy texture. When rubbed between fingers you can feel the grains that help exfoliate scalp. 🍂Feel and function: They both lather up well and rinse away all the dirt, oil and hair build up. The micro grains wash off with water and don't stick to hair. 🍂Experience after wash: I found Briogeo to be a little more hydrating than Equate one but for my Oily hair and scalp, I liked Equate one better. They both give hair a clean, deep cleansed feel. Both work on dry, flakey scalp as well as Oily one. Because of the peppermint, it feels cooling and soothing on scalp when you apply it. 🍂Ingredients and formulation: Because @equate Scalp care shampoo is designed and formulated to be the dupe of @briogeo's Scalp revival, the formula of briogeo is reverse engineered and altered a little to create @equate Scalp care. They both have similar highlighted Ingredients except a few like: Briogeo has Binchotan charcoal to draw impurities from the scalp whereas Equate has conventional charcoal. Apart from the Charcoal type, both of these have Vegetable-derived micro-exfoliators, a cooling blend of peppermint and spearmint oils, tea tree oil, Coconut oil, Panthenol and Castor oil I know it might seem a bit off-putting to know they have literally copied Briogeo but these days there are plenty of products in the market inspired to be dupes for lesser prices. I don't mind using this scrub as I have seen no major difference in both of their work. They do the same job for different prices. Would you use this dupe??
New Buys and Rebuys
I did a mini skincare and haircare haul and I’m excited to get into my new products! I had already used the mini versions of the fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner and PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator and love the way my skin feels when I use them, so I decided to rebuy in full sizes. The exfoliant has been helping with my skin’s texture and pores, while the toner makes my skin feel smooth and luxurious, which just what I need as the weather gets colder. My thin hair has been looking pretty dull and stringy the past few months, so I decided to try out the Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampooto help with buildup, as I’ve heard really good things about this scrub. I also wanted to try out The Ordinary - Multi-Peptide Serum for Hair Densityto see if it would help my hair look thicker and fuller. Excited to start using these! #cheriepartner

What’s on my Vanity?
Happy Thursday🤎 Updated the corner of my vanity this week with some of the products I’ve been reaching for lately! Everything you see here get’s a 10/10 for me! [Mini Reviews] ☁️ Necessaire Body Lotion (Fragrance-Free): I briefly mentioned in a previous post that I’m loving this body lotion so far and I stay true to that. I am enjoying this lotion so much, I already know I will be repurchasing soon & stocking up on maybe 2-3 bottles! Some key ingredients I love in this are; - Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) - Vitamins A, C & E - Omega’s 6 and 9 - Shea Butter - Jojoba Oil - Marula Oil ☁️ Summer Friday’s CC Me Serum: The hype is real ladies & gents! I am ADDICTED to trying new Vitamin C Serums & let me tell you this is now my new favorite! The price point lowkey kills me but you know what, for someone like me who suffers from dark spots/hyperpigmentation... if my skin continues to improve the way it is now, I will 10000% repurchase! ☁️ The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm: The hype is real (part 2)... At least, it is for me! I truly love this cleansing balm! I don’t wear a lot of makeup anymore so I personally find that it does a great job at removing whatever it is I put on that day! This balm is VERRRY gentle (which my acne prone skin loves) If my skin is ever irritated, I know I can depend on this to soothe my skin down! (However, if you wear heavy/full glam makeup daily, you may want to try a different cleansing balm) ☁️ Paula’s Choice 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant: My HOLY GRAIL👏🏼 I use this 2-3x a week and omg my skin has improved SO much! My skin is still not where it used to be but I know I will get there & that’s mainly because I know this exfoliant will get me there! It does a great job at minimizing blemishes /preventing new ones from forming! Love that. ☁️ Briogeo Scalp Revival: Still using this 1-2x a week since my scalp gets super itchy quite fast! As I said before in a previous post, I love this treatment a lot! I also love that this does NOT make my scalp feel oily at all. ☁️ Purito Comfy Water Sun Block SPA 50+ PA++++: I LOVE this mineral sunscreen so so much! If you are acne prone like me I HIGHLY suggest you invest in this sunscreen over the unscented centella! The unscented centella SPF broke me out like crazy (I believe that’s simply because it’s a chemical sunscreen, but I should have known better) Stick to mineral sunscreens if you tend to break out! Spot any of your favs? Nécessaire - The Body Lotion SUMMER FRIDAYS - CC Me Vitamin C Serum THE inkey LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator PURITO - Comfy Water Sun Block Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment Serum DIPTYQUE - Mimosa Candle
Briogeo Scalp Revival
[First Impression of the Briogeo Scalp Revival] This treatment contains: - Charcoal - Tea Tree Oil - Peppermint Oil - Ginger Root Oil - Aloe Leaf Juice - Witch Hazel - Biotin - Sodium Hyaluronate (Not in order) Omg the smell of this product is AMAZING!🤤 I can really just sit there and smell it for hours haha. I used this for the first time last night and it was fantastic, I felt a slight tingling sensation when applying but I loved it. I tend to have a dry/itchy scalp and now that the weather here in NY is getting colder quite fast, my skin is acting up! Super excited to see what this can do for my itchy scalp! What are your thoughts on this? Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Tea Tree Scalp Treatment Serum

What I threw in my Hospital bag🏩
Because I have a neurological disease, I have to go to the hospital pretty often & stay for days at a time. There have been times where I had to leave so suddenly or I wasn’t conscious, that I didn’t get to bring any skincare beyond the lip balm in my pocket. In the past I used to just throw every moisturizer sample I had in my backpack, but as you may have guessed, being in a new environment under stress is not the best time to test new products on our skin. So this most recent time I had to be quick, but managed to grab some helpful items... A “hospital skincare” bag will never be perfect, for me it’s about maintaining comfort. You may have noticed I didn’t bring a cleanser, I recommend you bring one if you can with a few of your own face towels (towels in the hospital are so scratchy & have been bleached) Me not bringing a cleanser is just realistic for me because I likely will not be up at a sink... I brought: BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O wipes Biodegradable & free of Silicone, Petroleum products, Sulfates & Alcohol. These are a really nice gentle face wipe. I haven’t used to remove makeup though. SHISEIDO - Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42 Don’t forget to still wear sunscreen even if you’re chillin inside! This has never irritated my eyes, so for me it’s a great option to apply with out a mirror. CAUDALIE - Grape Water Face mist at the hospital is a must! This is my favorite. Full review is my first post.🍇I would love to bring my travel size but I ran out. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask shade: Gummy Bear 🐻 Great for keeping my lips moisturized under my mask😷& overnight. Full review in previous post. sun bum - Signature SPF 30 Sunscreen Lip Balm Less important with my mask on, but I highly recommend this mineral sunscreen lip balm with non-nano zinc for all skin tones! Its free of fragrance, parabens & petroleum products& it’s less than $5 SHANGPREE - Marine Jewel Nourishing Mask & MAY COOP - Raw Sheet are two of my favorite sheet masks, check out my full reviews on both in previous posts. Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol 🍵🍃I also bring this calming serum, it’s over 76% green tea leaf water & 2% panthenol (a B5 provitamin) I’ll be doing a full review soon on this & the other 2 serums Korean skincare brand Beauty of Joseon has to offer. HERBIVORE - Rose Quartz Facial Roller To relive tension in my face... I give this 4 stars because mine kind of squeaks at me & that’s not super relaxing lol. SHANGPREE - Diamond Luminous Cream A very rich Niacinamide cream I’ve been using. Full review of this K-beauty gem coming soon!💎 Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioner Mainly for some aromatherapy🌹
🌹🥛My do it all hair treatment/styling product
🥛Briogeo Farewell Frizz rosarco milk leave-in conditioning spray $20/5 oz 💗Briogeo is a black owned business founded in New York City by Nancy Twine; Specializing in natural, clean formulations for all hair types. She’s also the youngest black woman to launch a brand at Sephora! The brand launched in 2013, & I’ve been using the Rosarco Milk ever since it came out! I’m not one to spend a lot of time styling my hair, but I used to bleach it & dye it A LOT. This was my go to after bleaching. This used to be called “Reparative” leave in conditioning spray, it really works to give damaged hair a healthier look. Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioner First off, the ingredients are great! It’s coconut oil, shea butter, & argan oil based with extracts of hibiscus, rose & grapefruit peel. Super lightweight milky texture & smells AMAZING! Light & floral with hints of delicious grapefruit🍧 I use it both when I get out of the shower on towel dried hair, as well as dry hair. A few spritzes will sleek down hair around my bun or ponytail & make my baby hair less frizzy. I love the hydration & healthy look it gives without being too shiny or oily at all. ⚠️DISCLAIMER: I really only know how this product performs for me & my hair. My hair has thick individual strands & extremely thick overall. My waves are pretty blah, just don’t have straight hair. I also do not use any heat products on my hair ever. Please forgive my terrible pics, I clearly enjoy photographing products much more than my hair, it’s not easy.. but anyways, I use this leave in treatment as a styling product too, or whenever i want my hair to smell nice💗 I showed 3 different results I can get with this product: a more defined wave with buns or scrunching with product/ straight- ish just by smoothing with my hands / or my natural wave enhanced by just air drying with product ... kind of a beach wave. For my hair, there’s a fine line between cute beach waves & a mess lol—- I also really need a haircut to reshape my layers😆✂️ This saves me from having terrible frizz at high elevations where I live🏔 Long story short: I would pick this as the only hair product I was allowed to bring to a desert island 🏝

Cherie Made Me Buy It 🤷🏻♀️😬
Have y’all seen this infamous honey bear on the app or Instagram? Well if you haven’t I am glad to be the first one to share with you why I was convinced to buy this product! To be honest, so many friends of mine on different platforms shared their insight on this product that I can’t even say which one person truly convinced me to buy it. First of all it is the Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Honey Moisture Deep Conditioning Mask ($36.00 - 8 fl oz). I actually picked up last year when it first got released for a limited time! However, you can now pick up the bear plus two additional hair care samples at Sephora or Briogeo online. For reference, I have long brunette wavy hair that has never been dyed or bleached. At the moment, I just have slight issues with frizzy ness and dry ends. When the bear came out; it was everywhere in sight! Everyone was raving about the smell, how fantastic it felt on the hair, and how nice hair felt post wash! The hair mask is “infused with organic honey to restore essential hydration and strength to dry, damaged hair,” according to the Briogeo website. When you do apply it will be done from mid length to ends for 10 minutes post washed hair. You can be like me and use it once a week or you can do it up to two times a week. FYI this can replaced your conditioner! The smell of this product is unbelievable and smells amazing so you can only imagine how lovely your hair will smell once it dries. The texture is a nice thick consistency, check out the second picture for reference! It’s easy to apply throughout the hair and washing out later on. When I first bought it I would use it regularly each week but then my self care routine diminished as I got caught up with work. Then once I started it back up during March when we got to start working from home, I picked up my hair masks! Briogeo has no harsh Sulfates, no silicones, no phthalates, no parabens, no DEA, And no artificial dyes! Such a great brand to support in my humble opinion! Let me know if I have ever convinced you to buy a product I reviewed on here! #CheriePartner
Treat Yourself & Your Hair
#CheriePartner I didn’t do many hair masks before quarantine, but nowadays I cling to all tangible actions of self-care to hold onto a sense of normalcy. My hair appreciates it, too! For this hair treatment combo, grab a scalp scrub, a nourishing hair mask, and a non-porous shower cap. I love the DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub for combining both physical and chemical exfoliation- it always leaves my hair beautifully hydrated and silky, plus it smells deliciously, sharply sweet. The Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Honey Moisture Deep Conditioning Mask is an absolute holy grail, deeply moisturizing and subtly sweet in scent, a sadness considering it’s still not sold after its limited edition run. My shower cap is a cheap one from Ulta covered in cute pandas. Step 1: Take a generous glob of your hair mask into your palm, rub your hands together to warm it, and distribute it throughout your hair, beginning at the tips and working it up to the middle section of your soon-to-be luscious tresses. Step 2: While your moisturizing mask is working its magic, apply your scalp scrub directly to your dry roots. Take the time to gently massage it into your scalp. Step 3: Slide on your plastic shower cap and enjoy some silence as you let your products marinate. Or, as close to silence as you can get, if you have roommates or children. Step 4: It’s either been ten minutes or two hours and either way, it’s time to rinse! Hop in the water and rinse your hair with warm water, enjoying the contrasting fruity and honey scents if you used my cocktail. Step 5: Style hair as usual, which for me is a bun so my hair is out of my face while my son and I play video games. Enjoy your super soft, bouncy hair!

Hair Growth Remedies You Need To Know
We all crave long luscious locks, right? I know I do. Unfortunately, I wasn’t blessed with Rapunzel-like hair. Hair growth depends on several factors, including diet, environment, and genetic history. However, some remedies can help keep strands healthy, ultimately allowing them to grow long and strong. I’m sharing my favorite hair growth hacks that I swear by. About My Hair: I personally have very dry, long, curly hair. I tend to get a lot of breakage because of heat styling and occasional chemical treatments (highlights). My biggest hair concern is keeping my hair and scalp healthy. My Go-To Hair Growth Products: Biotin: I take 1 biotin pill every day. While this may not be suitable for all (always ask your doctor first), I did get an OK from my doctor to take them. I do think they really make a difference. I’ve tried a bunch of biotin brands before, and these seem to work best for my hair. Plus, they're pretty inexpensive. You get a 3-month supply for under $20. These are made with coconut oil as well, which helps keep hair hydrated. Briogeo - Scalp Revival Stimulating Therapy Massager Scalp Massager: Healthy hair starts at the scalp! Once I learned that I’ve never looked back. I use my scalp massager by Briogeo around 2-4 times per week to give my scalp some much-needed love! Massaging the scalp helps improve blood and circulation. When you have increased blood flow, the hair follicles are getting more nutrition. This specific massager from Briogeo was just under $20. Every time I use this, my hair and head feel incredible after. Hair Growth Tips: #1. Don’t use too much heat. Take it from me. I have scorched my hair so many times. #2. Eat a lot of protein. #3. Don’t over brush wet hair. I only use a wide-tooth comb on my hair when it’s wet.
THE HAIR TOOL YOU’RE MISSING!
This is the Briogeo Scalp Massager. It’s bristles are super soft yet firm enough to offer a relaxing scalp massage and scrub. The bristles are removable so you don’t have to worry about water collecting inside and nasty mildew growing on the inner interior of the massager. The handle makes this hair tool very easy to use! I recently saw this on Cherie and decided I had to try it! I apply my shampoo and lather it then I go in with the scrubber and just massage in small circles to help get that extra clean & improve my scalp’s circulation. Shampoo is not this scalp scrubber’s only use!! With winter coming, our skin is likely to become more dry than in the summer months—and that includes our scalp! I invested in a scalp oil to use once per week. I usually drop the oil along my scalp then use the Briogeo scalp scrubber to massage it in! I allow the oil to sit for one hour then I shower and shampoo it off. I try not to sleep on my pillow with oils in my hair because then it transfers to my face and I wake up with new breakouts. One thing i just discovered with this scalp scrubber is that it is GREAT for dry shampoo! We’re all guilty of just relying on dry shampoo every now and then😉 so this scrubber is great for helping to rub it in to the scalp and even distribute to the surrounding areas on the scalp. Another good idea for use with the scrubber is apply a scalp scrub, such as DRUNK ELEPHANT - T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub It has a blend of AHAs and BHAs to lightly exfoliate the scalp. Lastly, this scrubber is SUPER AFFORDABLE!!! For $15, this can be yours! I purchased mine on Revolve and I received it in 3 days. This product also makes a GREAT gift, especially with Christmas and Hanukkah right around the corner. 5 ⭐️ all the way! Briogeo - Scalp Revival Stimulating Therapy Massager

My post-workout wavy hair routine 🌊
My hair is naturally pretty wavy, a bit frizzy and my scalp tends to get pretty dry during summer! I make it a point not to wash it more than just a few days a week which has been hard ever since I started working out regularly again and sweating SO much (I blame Chloe Ting 😅) but I still don’t like to wash my hair every day or else my scalp is just itchy and flaky and awful. What I’ve been doing to refresh my scalp and revive my waves is immediately go in with a powder (important!) dry shampoo like the Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo to soothe my scalp and also soak the sweat, then spraying the lengths of my hair with water and applying some amika: - Curl Corps Enhancing Gel it works great in my opinion! This routine brings my wavy hair back to life and makes it look less stringy and gross, the dry shampoo also adds some volume which I love! This routine’s been working great for me and allows me to go an extra day between hair washing ☺️
5-minute braided updo for short hair 💅🏼
So I don’t like to spend a lot of time on my hair, mostly because I’m not very good at doing my own hair 😅 I like quick, easy ‘dos I can whip up in minutes and this is one of my favorite for when I want to wear my hair up but still look cute! This hairstyle consists of basically three small braids secured to the scalp with Bobby pins, it’s very easy to do and perfect for shoulder length hair or even a bit shorter! I like to start with unwashed hair since it has more “grip” and will add just a bit of my favorite non-aerosol dry shampoo: Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Biotin Dry Shampoo I love that it makes my scalp feel clean and adds even more texture so it’s easier to work with. You just need to part your hair into three parts like shown in the photos, braid it (you can do French braids or regular braids like I did!) and form 3 small buns with the braids et voilà 👌🏼👩🏻🍳 I know mine looks messy af BUT I don’t like my updos to look ‘too perfect’ specially if I’m braiding my hair since I feel it adds a bit of an ethereal touch lol 👼🏻 and also probably bc I’m traumatized from childhood when my mom used to braid my hair into perfect, pristine little braids 😂 It literally takes me five minutes to style my hair like this and if you add some accessories like pearl hair clips or flowers it looks absolutely adorable!

One of the best hair oil!!
I love so many of the briogeo products. They work so well for my hair. This new strengthning treatment oil is hit for me. First of all, the packaging itself is so beautiful and the beautiful rose inside just adds a romantic touch. The oil is light weight but you really don't need so much oil. I literally just use two or three drops and apply on my hair and I have long hairs. It doesn't make my hair look oily or greasy. I really like how it softens my dry ends and makes my hair really so smooth looking. This oil has ceramides, macadamia nut derivative and rose oil which are all rich in antioxidants, vitamins and minerals and strength the hair and repair it. The scent smells like a fresh rose which is just plucked but it's very very mild. You probably don't need it if you a perfect oil which works for you but if you are still searching one then this could be it. It's really such a luxurious light weight oil which really treats your hair and makes it look better. Hair type : Long, coarse and frizzy hair.

Healthy Nails - Tips from a Nail Biter😬
Okay so I might not be the best person to give advice about how to grow long, healthy nails BUT I’m going to tell you what works for me. I have been a nail biter since before I can remember...as someone who has dealt with life-long anxiety, nail biting/picking, lip biting, nervous-foot-shaking, etc have all been prevalent for me. For years, I was unable to grow my nails because I bit them so bad but one day I just kind of realized a) how disgusting it is (who knows what’s under your nails) and b) it made me really self conscious of my hands. So I decided I wasn’t going to be a nail biter anymore. Don’t get me wrong, I still bite them from time to time when I’m feeling anxious (mostly just pick at them) but for the most part I leave them alone. Some things I have done and currently do to help my nails grow longer and healthier are: supplements - I take a bunch of different natural vitamins + minerals including vitamin c, b-complex, magnesium, vitamin d, and omega-3 which are all great and help make your hair, skin, and nails healthier and stronger. This isn’t the sole reason I take these supplements (hormone imbalances/anxiety/digestive issues are the main reasons) but it’s nice that they can help this too! collagen - ingesting collagen can be really helpful in growing your hair and nails and keeping them strong. For collagen, I’ve been trying out some various products from Vital Proteins (like these bars). castor oil - this stuff has SO MANY uses but I use it on my lashes, brows, and cuticles. I massage a tiny drop into each cuticle a few times a week and it helps them to not be so dry; when they aren’t dry I don’t pick at them so much! nail files/clippers - I try to always file or cut my nails now with one of these two tools instead of biting. hand lotion - I try to keep my hands + nails hydrated and soft (again, so I don’t pick) and the nails don’t break as easily drink a sh*t ton of water - the more hydrated you are, the better off you are overall, right? While I may not always have the perfect nails, I have found these things to really help me when it comes to having much healthier nails and cuticles. What are your tips for growing strong, healthy nails?
Wavy Hairspray: Yes to Movement, No to Crunch
Styling wavy hair can be tricky. My wavy hair is thick in volume yet fine in texture, going down to my mid-back, and it loves to frizz. To control this, hairspray is my best friend. But, not all hairspray was made equally- I’ve ended up with a veritable helmet of hair more than once. I love movement to keep my hair from looking flat, so I was an instant convert when I tried the amika: - Fluxus Touchable Hairspray 💕 • Crunch? I spend money + time to keep my hair soft, so why would I dry it out with hairspray? Fluxus manages to avoid being overly drying, taming fly-always without coating hair in a stiff mess. • Movement? Speaking of stiffness, that’s what you’ll be avoiding with Fluxus. My hair still moves in the breeze, easily combed through with my fingers. No helmet 🙌🏽 How I Style: I’m a minimalist, but I don’t like being a puffball. So when I’m not wearing my hair in a ponytail and ballcap, I typically stick to the tried-and-true! Wash and condition (or amika: - Perk Up Talc-Free Dry Shampoo and amika: - Silken Up Dry Conditioner ) followed by a wide-tooth comb detangling session. Briogeo - B. Well Organic + Cold-Pressed 100% Castor Oil applied to tips. Then, once everything has dried, I spray a liberal amount of Fluxus in my palm and smooth my hands over my hair. I repeat a couple times, focusing on my fly-aways and baby hairs, until everything is smoothed and settled. Fancy? No. Easy and effective? Yup!

Get Rid of Frizzy Hair With These Products!
Frizz usually takes over our hair in wet seasons, when we abuse heat tools and also, when we don't constantly hydrate our roots. To know how to eliminate frizz and win the battle for this problem, I recommend putting into practice the following anti frizz tricks that will help you solve the question how to eliminate frizz? with natural products. Frizz can also be caused by other factors such as excessive use of irons and dryers, seawater or swimming pool, the use of chemical treatments that deteriorate its natural structure and an inadequate technique to untangle the hair or comb it, having this in beads is essential to learn how to eliminate frizz. Frizz occurs in all hair types, even in the smoothest. However, it is more common to see frizz in curly or wavy hair than in straight hair. This happens because it is normal for hair with more waves to be drier and brittle. One of the answers on how to remove frizz from hair forever is to always keep your hair hydrated, this is only achieved with treatments based on natural oils or some tonics with natural herbs. If your hair is straight it is common for frizz to occur more in new hairs (short hairs that grow and look like small arrows that stand out even when you are brushed or have used conditioner) or on the ends. Some solutions to eliminate frizz. If you have srtraight hair, they're more related to the nutrition of your scalp. If you want to know how to remove frizz forever, I recommend cutting every two months to avoid open and disobedient tips. You can also use some home remedies to remove frizz from your hair, which will help you recover the texture and definition of your hair. They will also help you know how to remove hairpins without cutting it. My mission is to help you have beautiful, healthy hair. That's why I bring you some recommendations on how to remove frizz in your hair. For example, if your scalp is oily and you have frizz, the solution for your hair won't be to apply conditioners, serum or any kind of natural oil to your scalp; but if you can use them from medium to end, as they will help you to have more shine and control in the driest parts of the hair. If you have dry or mixed hair, you should keep in mind that the products you apply should be free of the presence of alcohols, as their astringent function can further dry those areas that are already dehydrated, producing more frizz in the hair, break and removing the shine and volume you have desired. For this type of hair if you can use oils, masks or serum from the root; it will also help you how to remove hairpins without cutting it. Keep in mind that for unruly hair, there are many anti frizz products that you can use, such as some home remedies to remove frizz from hair that will be based on natural oils or some fruits. All of these will help you how to remove frizz in your hair GARNIER - Whole Blends Honey Treasures Repairing Shampoo If you want to know how to remove the frizz you should start with the shampoo. An anti-frizz shampoo will help your hair look better by cleaning it with a salt-free product. Salt can further dry out your strands, so a milder shampoo will always be a good choice. If you're worried about dandruff, you can use natural treatments to fight dandruff so you don't deteriorate your hair anymore. You can find on the market several shampoos that will help you how to remove frizz and how to protect it from the sun, these will be a good option for your unruly hair. I personally use the original remedies one, from garnier. It has a wonderful smell that lasts for days. And leaves myy haris super pretty. GARNIER - Whole Blends Honey Treasures Repairing Conditioner The conditioner is an ally to know how to remove frizz from hair. Always use it after bathing. Keep in mind that if you have oily hair or scalp, the conditioner will be restricted only for use on the tips. You can choose a conditioner with argan or keratin, that cares for and moisturizes your hair. Find a special anti-frizz conditioner and apply it consistently. The results will not occur in a single application, it is a treatment for the hair and must be done for at least two months for you to see good results. I use the orginal remedies from garnier. I always recomend using the same line of shampoos and conditioners beacuse i feel they work better together. But you shoul look for a combination that Works for your own hair. You can choose several anti-frizz creams that will help you how to remove frizz. ! Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant CreamThis one leaves my hair feeling soft and silky . It also has all the natural properties your hair will need. My most important recommendation is NOT usind a regular towel for drying your hair. Use a microfiber one or a cotton t-shirt. The regular towels break your hair making it super frizzy. The microfiber towel looks like this (Pic2). It’s super soft and leaves your hair intact.
Scalp Revival 236ml | CA$54 – I’m seriously obsessed with this charcoal exfoliating scrub. This has greatly helped with controlling my oily scalp and occasional dandruff. The micro-exfoliators eliminate sebum buildup and reduce itching. I love the cooling effect on my scalp from the mints and it smells absolutely amazingg. My head feels super clean and refreshed everytime I use this. I highly recommend for those who struggle with scalp issues! Don't Despair, Repair 237ml | CA$46 – this is a weekly treatment mask to strengthen hair and restore hydration. I use this deep conditioning mask after the charcoal shampoo to bring moisture back to my hair. The two together make the best combo! 👏🏼 It always leaves my hair soo soft, shiny, and bouncyy. It also helps with detangling which makes brushing a lot easier! Farewell Frizz 118ml | CA$30 – fact: I never really used heat protection on my hair because the products I used before made my hair so oily. But after using this one, I can’t go back to that life!! The smooth consistency of this cream makes it super easy to work through my hair. Best of all, it doesn’t make my hair greasy and it controls frizz! The smell is also really nice which is an added bonus 😌

It’s just my favorite scrubby poo! Briogeo You know that old saying, “you don’t know what you got till it’s gone”? That’s exactly how I knew this shampoo made a difference on my hair. I stopped using it and my hair felt drier & not as shiny. Which I can work with by loading up on the conditioner & oils, but this stuff has the best ingredients for a dry, itchy scalp. I’ve recommended this shampoo to countless friends and none of them have ever said they hated it. I have the matching conditioner to this but I don’t love it as much as the “Don’t Despair” one. I think oily scalps would dig the Jelly conditioner that is the mate to this poo. 💞Oh! And I’m sure you know this already but this whole line is silicone and sulfate free! This can take some getting used to at first but it has really helped my hair in the long run. Silicones aren’t bad and they don’t bother everybody, but naturally I’m one of the people that silicones dry out because I’m genetically dry. They keep me from getting any kind of moisture from the environment into my hair. 💞 I wasn’t too impressed with the curl charisma. Although I use it because it gives me that Angelina Jolie hair “in 60 seconds or less” (movie she was in) kind of hair. Like it makes my curls like twists & is totally cool on those days but just not the look I was expecting. 💞IF I use a silicone (which is a rare) I make sure to double wash it out that day & not leave it in for days at a time. 💞I use argan oil on my ends for shine and do a coconut treatment the night before I wash. 💖 BONUS TIP: SheaMoisture is like the drugstore version of Briogeo. Another great hair line that I also use. Their hibiscus curl milk is my jam! Cruelty free & clean & affordable. ✔️ cruelty free ✔️ no silicone or sulfates, etc. ✨ what’s your favorite shampoo?

Alexa play “Honey” by @kehlani 🍯 Love this honey version of the Don’t Despair, Repair! Mask from @briogeo. It’s slightly more hydrating than the original but I do mix it with the @amika SoulFood Mask for better results. 🐻 Wishing y’all love, light, & comfort. 💛 Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-In Conditioner I love this leave in product! It is light and does in fact reduce frizz even when I air dry my hair. It’s such a thick liquid that I prefer to spray it on my hands and then distribute it through my hair that way, however I don’t mind. I’ve yet to be disappointed by a briogeo product and totally recommend this one!
