K beauty brands for the win!
Here’s a look I recently completed using some of my favorite k beauty base makeup products! I have combo skin with some acne, and needed to cover up some hyperpigmentation and acne for this look. The first is the erborian - Pink Perfect Pore Minimizing Primer it is a really silicon feeling primer- and it’s super useful especially when used with the erborian cc cream in tandem. You don’t need a lot to cover your face, and it does a pretty good job of filling in any larger pores and creating a smooth base for foundation or concealer. I’ve also worn this one alone without any foundation and it makes my skin look really nice and fresh. I do generally prefer a more illuminating primer though so I took off 1 Star. It has no scent. It is pink in color. Second , I used the erborian - CC Cream Radiance Color Corrector Broad Spectrum SPF25 in the shade deep and this product is really cool because it goes on gray in color but then blends out to your exact skin tone!! This is so cool! It’s a really high coverage cc cream and also includes some spf for added protection. I use my fingers to apply this product so it warms up a bit also. I really enjoy k beauty products because they’re often so innovative and really have an added skincare benefit to them too! As compared to American makeup brands, sometimes the shade ranges aren’t good for k beauty products which is disappointing. These products are mid ranged in price. I do think the cc cream is worth the hype because you need so little for a full coverage look and it can match your exact skin tone!! #asianbeauty #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

I’d rather get coal than...
I’d rather get coal than these complexion products from Erborian. These three products were gifted to me by the brand a few weeks ago, but I haven’t been able to get any use out of them because they are so fragranced. The Pink Cream (first swatch to the left) Pink Perfect Pore Minimizing Primer minimizes the appearance of pores while giving the skin a pearly soft focused effect. I did enjoy how lightweight this product is and how it gave my skin a glow, but it smells like baby powder and a powdery perfume. The CC Cream Radiance Color Corrector (middle swatch) has white pigments that transform to match your skin tone as they melt into the skin. It contains chemical SPF 25. This product is very effective and matches my skin tone nicely as it evens out the skin tone. The Glow Cream Highlighting Primer is a multi-use product that you can use as a subtle highlighter, a glowy base and a moisturizer. I found that this did provide a nice subtle glow to the skin but I usually prefer more of a glow. They all have a nice lightweight cream texture that melts into the skin easily. If you don’t mind the fragrance and you aren’t sensitive to it, I think you’ll enjoy these products because they do what they claim to do and they don’t take any time or effort to put on. However, I do not recommend them or find them to be worth the convenience because I can’t stand the way they smell.

Updated Foundation Collection 🌟
Yes I have a problem lol I just love trying new face formulas. My favorite here is still the Touch In Sol Advanced Real Moisture Foundation in shade 21. It’s the most skin-like of all of them so far and has great durability. It’s also one of the cheaper ones at only $18 on amazon 😀 I do like the way the ILIA serum lays down, but my god does it have a strong paint smell 😑 once it goes away it’s fine, but the first few minutes are rather rough as I’m sensitive to bad smells. Ah, the things we do for beauty 🤷‍♀️ Happy Sunday! 🍁 Don’t forget to hydrate and check your WiFi 😘

10 Minute Natural Look 👀
☀️ I have sensitive combo skin that is acne-prone. My skin is fair and my main concern is acne and general redness. 1. Skincare I use a cleanser, Vitamin C serum, moisturizer and sunscreen every morning. I let it sink in for a few minutes before starting any sort of make-up. 2. Mascara I currently use They’re Real by Benefit and really love it for quick volume and length. I also love their BadGal Bang one and might switch back to that next but this one is great. 3. Concealer I use this under my eyes to cover any darkness, any red spots from breakouts and just generally for redness. I find that a little of this Kaja concealer goes a really long way and this one is affordable and clean. This is the lightest shade in the range called Sweet Rice and I blend it with a damp beauty blender. 4. Erborian CC Red Correct This light green color correcting cream with SPF 25 is my favorite for light coverage that overall provides an evenness to my skin without any heaviness of foundation in look or feel. I find this also blends best with a beauty blender and the greenness fades the redness perfectly. 5. Elf Shadow Pencil I got this for like $3 and I use it along my upper lash line to add a bit of pink sparkle for fun. I have this in Rose Gold but there are more options and they’re really quick to apply because no brush is needed. They’re also a smoother pencil in terms of softness. ☀️This is my go-to quick natural look I’ve been doing this year and I LOVE it because it’s quick and covers my main concerns. My most important step though beyond skincare is definitely mascara. It just makes such a difference with my eyes and generally how I look. I can skip the rest but I need my skincare and my lashes. benefit - They’re Real! Really impressed with this combination...
erborian - CC Color Correcting & Redness Reducing Broad Spectrum SPF 25 I got this during a promotion at Ulta and had used it a few times in the past months. I remember not being that impressed but my wants and needs with skincare have changed dramatically in the past few months. After putting this on today I noticed immediately that my skin looked less red, pores looked blurred, and honestly I would have been happy to stop with this product only. erborian - BB Crème Au Ginseng This BB cream does have that slightly grey color to it when you take it out of the tube. It is slightly dark for my skin, which is only really noticeable on my neck area. I was happy with the level of coverage while still looking and feeling light. Also it is advertised as matte. Matte products being accurate is extremely rare with my oily skin, so I wasn’t expecting it to be on me. It’s not, but I also didn’t feel like it was too shiny or caused my skin to over produce oil. It felt hydrating and comfortable. erborian - BB Crayon Concealer & Touch-Up Stick I used this under my eyes since it was advertised as a concealer. Of all the products I was least impressed with this one. My dark circles seemed about the same after I used it. That being said, the skin around my eyes is the only place on my face that I can deal with some dryness and concealers usually don’t help this situation, plus they always crease on me. This didn’t crease, felt soothing on my eyes, and felt moisturizing. So I will definitely keep using this product. **please excuse my dry crusty lips, I wear a mask 7-9 hours a day and it is not treating my skin and lips too well!!

You Slept Late And Have An *In Person* Meeting!
Step One: Don’t forget that you stashed an emergency mask in your purse. Step Two: You Don’t Have Time For A Shower. Brush your teeth, wash your face, wear a scarf. Step Three: The Five Minute Make-Up Routine that will have you look has rested as a rose. Are roses rested? I was mainly going for alliteration there. Eyes: CLINIQUE - Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes in Amble Amber. Okay, whoever names these does a terrible job but I firmly believe that this line of no primer needed eyeshadow sticks is Clinique’s best product with a range of neutrals for many skin tones. ILIA - Limitless Lash Mascara Who did Ilia bribe to get the buzz they have gotten for this product? I poked myself at n the eye four times with the wand. I haven’t done that since The Terminator was governor of California. Ridiculous. Returning it this week. Pat McGrath, I’ll never leave you again! PS I seem to be allergic to it. bareMinerals - Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 in Opal Good buildable coverage. Stays put once it dries down. Gives me a nice glow. I am almost at empty! Yay me! I love how it makes me look so refreshed and like I am not wearing makeup. erborian - BB Crayon Concealer & Touch-Up Stick in Clair. Getting a new under eye concealer this week. Any thoughts? CHANTECAILLE - Philanthropy Cheek Shade in Emotion. The product is hard to get out of the pan but it has a great texture. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Mist & Fix Hydrating Setting Spray Smells awfu, works well. No lipstick because we are venturing into the world of masks! Good luck at your meeting with your boss’s boss!

✨ K-Beauty and J-Beauty Spotlight ✨
My skin type is more on the combo dry right now with my skin concerns being acne and dehydration. My skin tone is light and not sure of the undertones honestly. The most unique feature of K/J-Beauty is how effortless and natural the makeup looks! I feel like it’s worth the hype over American beauty brands because the K-J-Beauty products have beneficial ingredients for the skin to help with specific skin concerns. I like knowing that my makeup is helping my skin and not just covering it up. . erborian - CC Crème in Clair (fair to light skin tones with pink undertones). I’m said this product has such small shade range, only three shades. I’d say Erborian is more of a high end brand available at Ulta because this full size product (1.5 oz) retails for $44 at Ulta. I bought it when it went on sale last year. The product comes out white and then adjusts to your skin when you put it on. It doesn’t have very much coverage, but the fact it adjusts to your skin tone is so neat and gives a nice radiant finish. It doesn’t have a strong scent. It’s enriched with Centella Asiatica to help hydrate and protect your skin. It also contains SPF25 to protect from UVA/UVB rays that cause dark spots and wrinkles. I love this for a light coverage days because it blurs my pores and imperfections (doesn’t fully mask them, but some days you just want a light coverage and not something that feels heavy), evens out skin tone, and enhances your skin and gives it a radiance/glow. . Kaja - Beauty Bento Bouncy Shimmer Eyeshadow Trio in Chocolate Dahlia (neutral cocoa). This is a high end brand available at Sephora. This little trio retails for $21. This is a stacked trip that contains a shimmer and two mattes. They aren’t extremely pigmented, but are easily built up if that’s what you want. They claim they have a Glitter Arrangement Technology that delivers uniform shimmer in every swipe that’s perfect for quick, on-the-go eye looks. They do not note any special ingredients this is formulated with. These shadows do crease a few hours after I put them on, but that doesn’t bother me because that happens with my hooded lids often. The shimmer is beautiful and so sparkly. . #cheriepartner

Amazing!!
The Erborian CC cream is amazing! I posted my before and after picture of putting it on. I did use primer before putting it on but that’s it. It’s light weight and has a natural look. It does not have a strong smell, maybe a light smell of sunscreen. It’s SPF 25! Highly recommend! erborian - CC Crème

2 finger rule version 2.0😎
I keep seeing this “2 finger rule” trend for sunscreen so heres my take on it: What I do: take a BB cream (preferably matte) and a hydrating, shimmery primer, mix them together and apply however you wish! What you get is an airbrushed but skin-like finish. So effortless. (Note, if you have blemishes, it may be best to cover them first with some concealer — that’s usually what i do!) Onto products...I swear by this BB cream erborian - BB Crème Au Ginseng It fills all your pores, isn’t cakey, and has an observable finish. Most BB or tinted creams I’ve tried absorbs into my skin rather than stay on top of my skin and cover my redness. This one stays on top but does not have that heavy finish like a foundation. Its also LONG wear with NO clumping or splotchy-ness. This is a fool proof bb cream. I seriously recommend. It is a bit matte and I love a dewy finish, hence my take on the two finger rule. Regarding the shimmery primer, this product isn’t on Cherie. But you can find it on yesstyle. So far I love it, but I’m sure *anyyyy* liquid, shimmery primer will do :)

WHICH MAKE UP REMOVER IS BEST FOR YOUR SKIN?
Makeup removal is a huge part of skincare! Makeup can clog our pores and cause breakouts and other issues of not removed properly. But what is the best way to remove makeup? The answer to that question depends on your skin type. These are the makeup removing products that I’ve used so far: Neutrogena - Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes This is the first makeup remover product I’ve ever used. I think it works okay for light makeup but for a full face I end up having to use 2-3 wipes to get my makeup off completely which really irritates my skin. I also feel like this only removes makeup from the surface of my skin and does not cleanse my pores. erborian - Solid Cleansing Oil The smell of this product is devine! It is a super soft jelly that turns into oil when rubbed into the skin. To use I rub it all over my face and either rinse or use a cleansing pad or towel to wipe it off. The excess product will absorb into your skin. This product is jammed packed within nutrients that will work to moisturize skin, fight acne, reduce the appearance of acne scars/hyperpigmentation, protect from UV rays, fight inflammation, reverse sun damage and reduce under-eye puffiness. nyakio - Sweet Almond Cleansing Oil Balm This oil balm is made from all natural ingredients. Just like the Erborian balm I rub it all over my face and either rinse or use a cleansing pad or towel to wipe it off. The excess product will absorb into your skin. It is made with almond oil that is great for treating dry skin, improving completion and skin tone, reducing the appearance of scars, reversing sun damage and reducing puffiness and under eye circles. BURT’S BEES - Facial Cleansing Towelettes Cucumber and Sage This product is pretty much useless to me. It takes so many wipes to get my makeup off completely and all that friction irritates my skin. It doesn’t make me feel like I am getting a deep clean. If you like make up wipes Neutrogena is the better product. erborian - Cleansing Micellar Water First of all the products has an amazing fresh scent. I saturate a cleansing pad with the product and rub on my face to remove my makeup. It usually takes 2-3 pads to fully remove my makeup. The product is very gentle on my skin and doesn’t cause any dryness or irritation which I get when I am using makeup wipes. It leaves a dewy glow on the skin. It also contains chamomile and green tea which help to soothe the skin so if my skin is feeling irritated I will used this product to sooth and hydrate my skin. They are also a natural way to fight acne, dark spots, reduce inflammation and reduce excess oils. If you have sensitive skin makeup wipes might not be the best product for you. You may want to try the Erborian Cleansing Water because it will soothe your skin. If you have Dry skin the cleansing oil and oil balm would work best. For acne try Erborian products.

MAKE UP WIPES COULD NEVER! 🗑
Makeup wipes are the WORST. No matter what brand I always need more than one to remove all of my makeup (all 6 layers and that I liner that never comes off), the chemicals in the wipes irritate and dry out my skin and lips and the last few wipes always dry out! I started trying other products to take off my make up and cleansing oils are definitely the best. One of my favorite cleansing oils is the erborian - Solid Cleansing Oil I take small scoop of the oil and rub it all over my face and then take a cleansing pad or towel and wipe everything off. The oil melts my makeup and it glides off. This is great for all skin types. For people with oilier skin wiping the product off will remove excess oils without making your skin super dry. For people with dry skin you can rinse off leaving a moisture layer on the skin. It smells amazing and it has nutrient rich ingredients that won’t clog your pores. 🌸 Sunflower Seed Oil is full of antioxidants (vitamins A and E) which fight inflammation, easily absorbs into your skin and get rid of acne causing bacteria 🌸 Coconut Oil also helps with inflammation, treating acne, healing scars, moisturizing, and reducing the appearance of dark spots 🌸 Shea Butter has vitamins A, E and F. It has anti aging properties, fights inflammation, heals wounds, protects from UV rays and moisturizes 🌸 Almond Oil treats dry skin, improves completion and skin tone, reduces the appearance of scars, reverses sun damage and reduces puffiness and under eye circles. This product is $39, which is pricey but a little goes a long way and it also helps with my other skin concerns so I would say it’s worth it. It remove your makeup, cleanse your skin and help to improve your skins appearance. Makeup wipes could never!

Erborian Glow Creme Review. This is an illuminating primer that is supposed to give you a dewy glow. I love the texture of this primer - rather than a really plasticky siliconey primer, this feels more like a light gel-cream and is quite moisturizing, so if you have oily skin this could probably double as your day cream. I have combination-dehydrated skin so I put this on over my normal cream. It doesn’t cover anything so if you were hoping this could provide base coverage, this isn’t that product. What it does is provide a healthy-looking sheen over your face that really does look natural and dewy. If you already have oily or dewy skin, this might not be necessary. It is subtle and doesn’t have a highly shimmery or strobe effect, though it does have a minimally blurring effect on pores. I find that the pink shimmers in the cream balance out any sallowness in my skin, making my complexion look healthier. Under my BB cushion it does make my skin look more dewy (and since my BB cushion is already dewy it’s almost too much). I really wish this had SPF in it as it kinda feels like it should. All in all, I like it, and I've been wearing it on its own quite often, as I love the texture and the subtle glow, though I don't consider it a must-have.

CAN THIS MAKEUP REMOVER REPLACE YOUR FACE WASH?
Erborian Cleansing Water is claims to be a 3in1 product that refreshes, cleanses and removes makeup but I mostly us it as a makeup remover. First of all the products has an amazing fresh scent. The directions say you can use this product morning and night as a cleanser as well, however, if I use it to take off my makeup or I am super sweaty from a workout I will follow up with a face wash for a deep clean. I’ll only use this as a cleanser in the morning when I wake up if I am in between face washes. It also contains chamomile and green tea which help to soothe the skin so if my skin is feeling irritated I will used this product to soothe and hydrate my skin. They are also a natural and gentle way to fight acne, dark spots, reduce inflammation and reduce excess oils. If you have an occasional breakout this would work for you. For people with cystic acne or really deep dark spots I would recommend using a product that that specifically targets those concerns. The product is $26 which I feel is a good price for all that it does but I don’t think I can replace my face wash.

Color Matching cc cream
Color Matching cc cream
My Skin: Oily About the Product: Color correcting cream that starts out as a white pigment, but has pigment beads to match your skin tone. Texture/Consistency/Packaging: Creamy consistency. Comes out of the package white, and as you spread it on your face it transforms to match your skin tone. My Experience/Thoughts: It’s an odd experience, so you have to work fast to make sure the product is spread evenly. I have the medium since I’m medium with yellow undertones. It definitely leaves me feeling slightly orange, but it works for my skin tone. Just make sure to blend the product to your neck! Worth It/Would I Recommend? I don’t use that much foundation so this is a good option for when I want some color to my face. erborian - CC Cream Radiance Color Corrector Broad Spectrum SPF25

I discovered this moisturizer years ago when a sample arrived in my Sephora Play box, and I have been repurchasing it ever since. It is magic for my oily skin. I use this as my daytime moisturizer, and it makes a huge difference in keeping my natural oils from making me look greasy, even in the summertime. It has a light, whipped texture and somehow always feels cooling on the skin. It’s hydrating but really sinks into the skin quickly. I do find that I need a bit more hydration and creaminess overnight, so I really only use this at night during the peak of summer. Unfortunately Sephora just stopped carrying this, so the only place to order is from Erborian’s site at the time of this post. However, Erborian offers discounts often, to the point where I was usually ordering from them anyway, and I have always received my orders quickly.

If there was any product that I’d rather get coal than it, it would be this cleanser. It was my first foray into Korean Beauty and I was looking for a new cleanser. I did like the texture and the little scoop that it came with but the way my skin reacted to it was crazy. I would say I have combination skin that’s not sensitive but it just did not work for me. It retails for $39 and it’s not worth that.

Eye creams are a dream, aren’t
Eye creams are a dream, aren’t they? 😍 Here a few minis that I’m obsessed with:  erborian Ginseng Infusion Total Eye 💫  caudalie Vine[Activ] Energizing & Soothing Eye Cream ✨  clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream ☀️ What I like about the first 2 creams is that they’re both designed to target dark circles and prevent wrinkles. Pep-Start is great for puffiness/tiredness. 🙌🏾 The texture of the Vine[Activ] is a bit thicker than the Ginseng Infusion which is why I prefer to only use it at night. 😴 Pep-Start is hands down one of the best eye creams to use in the morning, especially if you’re having a long week or feeling stressed. 💯

This mattifying primer was sent to me by Erborian. It’s supposed to minimize the appearance of pores and mattify without drying your skin. It can be worn alone or used as a primer. I’m a very oily girl and it managed to keep me relatively matte throughout a few hours of running errands in 80 degree weather. I didn’t powder either! I did get a bit dewy, but nowhere near as oily as I’d normally get without primer or powder. That being said, it definitely didn’t dry me out either, so I’d say it definitely lives up to it’s promises. I have a hard time recommending this product as a broke college student since the price tag is so steep— but if you can afford to drop $42 on a primer, go for it. You shouldn’t have to use up too much in one application, so I’d say one tube would last quite a while, which might make it worth the money. I’ve been using this tube for maybe three or four months now and it’s still mostly full. All in all, I’d give it four stars solely because I can’t entirely justify the price. erborian - Extra Matte Shine Control Primer
