This is what I do every night😴💐💙
I used to never wash my face before bed. Not even after being in a salon all day. Gross, right? I didn’t care. My skin was clear and I looked easily five years younger than I was, even at 30. Then slowly I started to see fine lines around my eyes and then my lips and now I can sometimes see a crease or a new line on my forehead. I can see that time is starting to change my face. I don’t mind. I actually think I’m becoming more attractive as I age. But that may also be wishful thinking. Regardless, I don’t mind aging, but I really want to be graceful and smooth. Not red, puffy and bumpy. So, I needed a skin care routine and had no idea where to start. You have to start at the beginning and just wash your face. Ok. I bought some of that fancy charcoal soap for clarifying. You know the one at Whole Foods that’s black and white and smells like lemon grass? Let me tell you, put that on your body, not your face. It left me so red and burny. So I had to try it again a week later, because that’s what I do I guess. Same result equals insanity right? So I got on Sephora and started looking at face cleansers and found the Purity and it is really wonderful and ALMOST perfect. I wish it was truly an all in one product but you have to work it a bit. I don’t like using wash cloths on my face but I sometimes want something more than my fingers to work off my makeup so I like to use the Aveeno wipes first. I use full coverage foundation and mascara every day and depending on how much I’ve built it I may have up to 3 layers of mascara on so I need double duty but gentle care. The Aveeno wipes are neck in neck with the Neutrogena wipes. I like them both the same for removing most of my makeup before I wash my face with Purity and water. I use mostly warm water bordering on hot when I wash my face. I want all the makeup off and I want my pores opened and ready for the Truth Serum. That has done wonders to smooth the texture of my skin. I used to use only a little dab, and I still do if it’s going to be under my makeup but at night I am now much more liberal and I really kinda load it up just because it’s so great and I wish I could put it all over my whole body. After that I use the Glow Recipe Avocado mask with retinol on my eye area, and this is my newest addition to my routine. I just got it and I am so happy to have such a luxury eye care cream. It’s got great reviews and before and after pictures online. I love how it melts into my skin. I definitely feel like my eyes are smoother and more awake looking. After that I use the C-Rush, all over everywhere else on my face except for my eyes. I really like this selection by Ole Henrikson and I recommend it for anyone that wants to improve the general condition of their facial skin. Combined with the Truth Serum, this has really changed my skin texture and appearance for the better and I really enjoy slathering it in my face at night. I use it only at night because it just doesn’t feel right under my makeup.
My sorta double cleanse routine
Welcome back! I know it's been a bit but I decided I would share with you guys my nightime "double cleanse" routine which is a follow up to the nightime skin care routine I posted a month or so ago. I'll be including a review on the two products shown as well. (The reason I say mine is sort of a double cleanse is because my micellar water isn't oil based but often times in the summer my skin tends to be oilier and more acne prone so I opt for an oil free cleanser as my first step.) What is double cleansing? Double cleansing is basically pairing two cleansers together to completely remove makeup and dirt and oil from the day and is an extremely important step in your nightime skincare routine ( not necessary in the morning). A double cleanse consists of an oil based cleanser or a makeup removing balm followed by your typical cream or gel cleanser. The oil loosens and breaks up the dirt and products and the gel/cream helps remove and rinse it away. You never want to only use an oil cleanser because the water you use to rinse won't be enough to remove all of that dirt and oil. In order to completely remove that gunk from your face you have to do a second cleanse. Otherwise the rest of you skincare routine will not be effective because that oil will clog your pores preventing your other products from penetrating your skin properly. Product rundown GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Cleanser & Makeup Remover This is one of my favorite finds! This product is so effective at removing all my makeup and my skin feels so hydrated afterwords. It has a fairly simple ingredient and includes glycerin which is a hydrator and it's fragrance free! I use it at night and sometimes in the morning if I decide not to use my normal morning cleanser (morning skin routine coming soon) philosophy - Purity Made Simple Cleanser This cleanser was one of the first ones I ever used. My grandma had bought a 2 pack of the 32oz bottles and didn't like the scent so she gave them to me. That was 2 years ago and I'm not even done with the first bottle! Overall I really like this cleanser. I remember the first time I used it my skin was soooo soft. I like it because it's really gentle and hydrating, but it does have an extensive ingredient list that includes a lot of fragrance and the scent is kinda weird. I wouldn't recommend if you're sensitive to fragrance or have moderately sensitive skin. Also it is a little pricey but I've seen good results overall so I will continue to finish all 64oz that I own. I hope this helps you! Be sure to leave any comments or questions down below as well as topics you would like me to discuss💕

Red Hot Nope!
I’ve loved Philosophy for as long as I can remember. The only fragrance that I’ve ever bought multiple bottles of is their Pure Grace (including fabulous lotion, beautiful body wash... even deodorant!) I love their mission and message. But... friends... I learned today. Two things happened today... 1) I was looking for a good wash off pore mask and 2) I got an email that for today only, all of Philosophy was 5x points at Ulta. Even though I’ve never really tried their skin care, I’ve always loved the brand, so the philosophy - Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Mask seemed like a no brainer. I was so very wrong. The claim is that it extracts and tightens pores dramatically- even in just one use - using a slew of natural products and salicylic acid. You can pretty much park a dump truck in my pores, so I was here for all of that. I purchased, raced home, washed my face and prepared to be wowed! The verdict? If you are the type of person who enjoys spending an exorbitant amount of money to rub broken slabs of concrete on your face... this is the mask for you! If you’ve ever dreamt of becoming a Medusa victim... here is your chance! It’s so gritty that I felt like I couldn’t get it off my face without a chisel. Once I (finally) got it completely rinsed off, my skin felt dried out and quite honestly, emotionally wounded. I had to cheer it up with an intensive moisture mask and some pure hyaluronic acid in order to get things back to normal. In short, not a fan. But thanks for the extra points, Ulta!
Secrets🤫🤫How I Remove Pesky Blackheads
While I know that no one has flawless skin, I feel like I have an excessive number of blackheads, and I’m not sure why. I wash my face 2x per day; I use toner, masks, cleansers. It seems like no matter what I do; nothing helps diminish my blackheads. That was until I found my holy grail blackhead buster. My Skin Type: I have combination skin at its finest. My cheeks are super dry, but my nose and forehead have enlarged pores and tend to get shiny throughout the day. I do have to be careful what products I use on my skin because I sometimes tend to experience redness and sensitivity. How I Treat My Pores: For me, I have to focus mostly on my T-zone. That’s my main problem area. My favorite skincare product for combating my annoying blackheads is the philosophy - Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Mask. It’s an exfoliating clay mask formulated with salicylic acid treatment. The salicylic acid does mean this mask could be drying on the skin. I specifically use it on my T-zone and not on my cheeks. It has very tiny exfoliating beads that help wash away my annoying blackheads. I use this mask around 2x per week to keep my skin looking great without it over-drying! How I Use The Mask: One more thing that I love about this mask is that it only takes 5-10 minutes to work its magic! I love potent skincare products that do what they claim and do it fast. I can throw on this mask while I answer my morning emails, and my skin is prepped, clean, and ready for the day in under 10 minutes!

MY CURRENT AM/PM ROUTINE⛅️🌜
hi friends! here is an update about all the products i use every day/night. my largest skin concerns are evening my skin tone and brightening, acne, and reducing pore size/fine lines! therefore, i use a lot of products that utilize vitamin c, glycolic acid, salicylic acid, niacinimide and hylauronic acid. hope you enjoy! AM⛅️ pixi - Vitamin-C Tonic PACIfICA - Glow Baby Super Lit Booster Serum pixi - Vitamin Wakeup Mist LA ROCHE-POSAY - HYDRAPHASE UV SPF 30 (trying to find a cruelty-free version, i just chucked the pixi phenomenal gel in there for the picture) #Skin Academy - Zero Eye Cream[products]#[FiveStars] PM🌜 THE inkey LIST - Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Toner (every other night) PACIfICA - Water Bounce Moisture Shot Booster Serum #Skin Academy - Zero Eye Cream[products]#[FiveStars] e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! first impressions: versed + purity
i recently bought VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm and philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser , and i have a few initial thoughts after having used them each a handful of times: VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm this is my first oil-based cleanser, and subsequently it is gonna be a little weird. i do like the almost-vaseline texture of the balm and how my skin feels after removing it, but i resent the smell and that it is not eye-safe. i would love a recommendation for oil-based cleansers that are, if any! philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser i really like this one so far. it has a creamy consistency and super-light fresh smell. i have very sensitive eyes but experience no discomfort when using it around them, and it removes all makeup with ease. i’ve thought about buying this for ages and i am so glad i did! i hope you enjoyed ;) please be sure to follow here and on my IG @chloebrk.mua #cheriecreator

Why I Decided to Ditch My Clarisonic Brush
Back in the day, my clarisonic - MIA 2 FACIAL CLEANSING BRUSH was my go to. I started using it religiously (daily). Well, deciding that once a day was way too much to use an abrasive electronic brush on my face, I decided to only use it when needed. When I would use it here and there, almost every time I would breakout. I tried using brand new heads, replacing the heads regularly, etc. In contrast of my personal experience with this brush, much research is shown that these brushes can damage the acid mantle, protective film and natural oils, and amino acids that are on our skin. Abrasive skin tools to me were just a fad and now that we have come so far with knowledge on a healthy skin care routine, we should focus on products that effect the skins beauty from within by using appropriate ingredients that penetrate the skin and change it from the inside out. To me, a deep clean from a brush is not worth me breaking out. I would rather use a chemical exfoliant (such as The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution ) or a gently microdermabrasion paste/wash (such as philosophy - The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash ) when needed. What is the go to way to exfoliate your face? Also, has anyone had the same experience with Clarisonic brushes or face brushes in general?
My evening skin routine
Hey there, I am a combination/oily skin person. I recently started a new skincare routine because the previous routine was not working and it was actually making it worse over time. However it's a new day so here's my new nightly routine from left to right. 1. Gentle cleanse- MARIO BADESCU - Enzyme Cleansing Gel This is actually been working nicely on my skin. There is no foaming which in not really used to but it cleanses the first layer of dirt off with no reactions to the product so that's great so far. 2. Exfoliating Cleanse- philosophy - The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash I absolutely love this product. I've been using it for months now and I love how it exfoliates my skin leaving it feeling smooth and I feel like all the dirt and make up is gone. Be gentle on your skin though because if scrubbed too hard you can tear your akin from the tiny beads inside the cell. 3. Toner- The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I just started the ordinary brand altogether. So far I really like this toner vs ACV/water toner that I was using that complete dryies my skin out ad burned it. This does the complete opposite. It clams my skin and tighten my pores as well as leave my skin feeling supple and soft not dry. 4. Serum The Ordinary - Mandelic Acid 10% + HA I instantly loved this product because the results were very clear from the first application. I do about 4-5 drops on my face and apply it evenly letting it sit for 5 mins before moving on to the next serum. I have scarring that instantly smoothed out and the textured healing skin is much smoother than before. I'm so happy about that. 5. Blemish treatment- The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% Right now I really can tell how well this product is working because tonight was my first time. I will say that with me combining them with the other serum it worked just fine on my skin no irritation at all. I'm currently dealing with period breakout so I won't fault the product quite yet. It's supposed to help with breakout and reducing sebum. 6. Moisturizer- The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Moroccan Argan Oil I never thought you use argan oil on my skin I've used it on hair but now I love using it on my skin. I was afraid it would make my skin oily but it actually hasn't. It's a very lightweight oil and It's best in my opinion to apply at night. I oil up a lot during the day so I use something else during the day.

Philosophy Amazing Grace
The scent opens with a bright pop of bergamot and grapefruit that revitalizes your spirit before blossoming into a jasmine and freesia heart that's as fresh and welcoming as a warm, breezy day. philosophy - Amazing Grace Eau de Toilette Unexpectedly out-of-this world scent. I feel fresh when I wear this scent. It lasts all day and even after washing my clothes I continue to smell it. The lotion (firming body emulsion) can be worn alone and still smell like you’re wearing Perfume. It’s hydrating and leaves the skin feeling velvety and glowing. Definitely a set I’m happy to receive every Mother’s Day 💖😄

I could smell the floral tones and a bit of musk. It has a soft scent. Tphilosophy - Amazing Grace Eau de Toilette his is my go-to/everyday perfume. It's not strong, too sweet, too clean, just right for me.
My favorite hand creams!
As a teacher who works with kids, I was always and still am CONSTANTLY washing my hands. These are some of my favorite hand lotions I’ve used to keep my skin moisturized over the past year! This review is short and sweet, you really can’t go wrong with any of these!! Philosophy Hands of Hope is great when you need a simple unscented lotion, Mario Badescu Special Hand Cream gives a nice floral rose/soapy scent, and the Lano Hand Cream Intense in Coconutter is an awesome tropical smell I picked up for summer. All give additional moisture to nails and cuticles, which is a must I always look for in a hand lotion I plan to keep in my purse or classroom. I love these all so much, hope this helps you find one that works best for your hands! 🙌
AM skincare routine for dry skin
After a couple minor adjustments recently I’ve settled into a solid morning routine which is working really well with my skin. My skin is mostly dry and I have fairly sensitive cheeks and eye areas. 1) CLEANSE — philosophy - Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser with the Remington - Reveal Facial Cleansing Brush This is my all time favourite described as being a 3-in-1 cleanser, toner and makeup remover. Almost every cleanser I’d ever used beforehand made my skin tight and uncomfortable but the Philosophy Purity cleanser leaves my skin clean, feeling balanced and completely comfortable. I use the cleanser with a Remington facial cleanser brush which is very gentle and has variable speeds and heads, I use the normal head on medium speed and it doesn’t aggravate the more sensitive areas of my face. I love using this brush as it feels like my skin has been cleaned thoroughly without being over exfoliated or stripped. 2) TREATMENT SERUM — The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The newest addition to my routine I’ve added this to help with clearing my pores to reduce their visibility and tackle some uneven skin tone post-partum. I apply one drop on each of my cheeks and one on my forehead then spread across my face using my fingers. My skin has been smoother, more even and brighter since using. 3) MOISTURISE — GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer I like using this as my day moisturiser because it’s light, hydrating and leaves my skin soft and glowing. I like that it’s a light cooling texture for starting the day with fresh, dewy skin rather than a heavy or oily feeling product. 4) EYES — philosophy - Purity Made Simple Hydra-Bounce Eye Gel Beautifully hydrating and a lovely gel consistency which absorbs quickly, however, it doesn’t help with my dark circles. 5) TINTED MOISTURISER — GARNIER - BB Cream Naturals Light I use this to give my skin a sheer layer of coverage to even out my skin tone as I don’t wear foundation daily and to add an additional moisture boost. This alone wouldn’t be hydrating enough for my dry skin but when layered into my routine it fits really well for me. 6) SPF — CANMAKE - Mermaid Skin Gel UV Let me first start by saying I absolutely hate sunscreen because I hate both the texture and smell of them. Bad news when you live in a coastal city in Australia and sunscreen is a necessity 🙈 This SPF however is a beautiful lightweight Jbeauty sunscreen which has a watery gel-like texture, zero greasiness and no off putting smell at all. I use the clear version and it leaves no white caste on my skin or stickiness so once it’s dried leaves a perfect base for makeup.
I’d rather get coal than.... Purity by Philosophy!! This cleansing water did absolutely NOTHING for my skin other than make it look like it was cracking. It did not feel like it cleansed my skin, it did not unclog my pores, nothing. It is marketed as a cleanser that removes makeup, dirt, and impurities while leaving your skin hydrated, toned and refreshed. FALSE. Yeah it took off my makeup but if I used a makeup wipe after it would still be covered with makeup. I wanted to try this product because I heard it was amazing, but if it’s still leaving dirt on my skin than what’s the point. It’s almost like a watery consistency that is super thin and easy to put on a cotton pad and apply to skin. I don’t like this product at all, I used it a total of 3 times and it sucked. I won’t ever use this product again and won’t recommend to a friend. It’s not worth it at all!!!!philosophy - Purity Made Simple Micellar Cleansing Water

Let's talk about Hope In a Jar from Philosophy
I have always wanted to try out Philosophy's products so I bought the philosophy - Hope In A Jar and philosophy - Renewed Hope in A Jar Night Moisturizer. Here is my review of the 2 babes: philosophy - Hope In A Jaris in a white jar and has a pale yellow creamy texture. I'm not sure if it's the increase in temperature but it seems like the oil is separating from the water in the lotion. However, it feels the same when I apply it on my face. It smells a bit sour but it's absorbed easily by the skin. It also keeps my makeup from coming off. It's more suitable for spring as it's too oily for summer. philosophy - Renewed Hope in A Jar Night Moisturizer comes in a black jar. It has a bad rotten smell and the paste is thicker and stickier than the day cream. I usually use it with Taiyosha Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Liquid. It stung my face a little when I first applied it, but it was just a mild tingling sensation and it didn't tingle after a few times of using it. I can feel it tightening my face after massaging it in.
Birchbox November Hydration Box
DERMA•E - Hydrating Eye Cream •this claimed to hydrate, reduce wrinkles, as well as restoring firmness. I was skeptical at first, since this was my first time trying this brand. Dr. Jart+ - Ceramidin Cream • Ceramides are well known for time-released hydration effects. Basically, it's giving you hydration around the clock. This hydration cream feels thick and creamy but once applied on the face, it's super-fast absorbing and feels lightweight. My skin never felt so hydrated in my life. Typically, I overproduce oil when my skin is dehydrated. This cream has helped with my oil control as well by restoring the hydration and moisture on my face! Super effective! I will be buying the full-size once I ran out of my trial size. philosophy - Hope In A Jar • can't don't wrong with hyaluronic acid to give you hydration. Philosophy is well known for this hydrating cream. It's super lightweight and glides on the face giving you immediate hydration. H2O+ - Milk Serum • This serum has been game changer for me. The first time trying h2o+ products, and I was immediately sold with this product! It's a milky-liquidy texture that glides on the face, lightweight, and fast absorbing. This left my face very hydrated and plump. I applied this after using the Georgette Klinger coconut cleansing milk. This box was everything! Since the weather got colder, my skin started to dry up. This hydration set box, helped restore moisture and hydration back to my skin! I'm so happy I chose this curated sample set because I found my winter holy-grails!
Battle of the Face Cleansers
My skin type is combo oily that can lean more dry during the weather changes or just randomly. My skin concerns are acne, oiliness throughout the day and also dehydration. I’ve ranked the face washes I currently have open right now based on how they worked for me personally (starting from favorite). My all time favorite is COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser because I can actually tell a difference in my skin, unlike the other cleansers and can be used AM and PM. . COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser Key Ingredients: Tea Tree and Beta Hydroxy Acids (work together to refine pores, control oil, and soften skin). Texture/Consistency: Gel that turns to foam Scent: Very strong Tea Tree scent Price: $14 for 5.07 oz Experience: I use this as my AM cleanser and it does a good job of removing the previous night’s skincare and having a new base for my AM skincare. It foams a lot, so only need a small amount of product. Since I’ve been using this, my face has gotten more smooth and not as oily throughout the day. I knocked off a star since the scent is so strong of tea tree. Repurchase/Recommend?: I will repurchase this and recommend this because it’s a great value and only need a small amount of product. My combo oily skin also agrees with this formula, I’m so excited to use it this summer and see how and if it helps my skin. . MARIO BADESCU - Glycolic Foaming Cleanser Key Ingredients: Glycolic acid (exfoliates the skin and dissolves dulling dead skin cells to help refine pores and retexturize uneven skin), and a soothing blend of chamomile, marshmallow, safe, St. John’s wort, and yarrow extracts (work together to provide additional rejuvenating benefits that help re-balance and leave skin radiant). Texture/Consistency: Gel that turns to foam Scent: Price: $16 for 6 oz / 177 mL Experience: I use this maybe 2-3 times a week (as directed for oily skin) and haven’t noticed much of a difference in my skin. It performs just like any other cleanser to me. I use it as my second cleanse and it’s just meh. Honestly not impressed with this and glad I got it as a free sample. Repurchase/Recommend?: I would not repurchase or recommend this, I haven’t noticed any special benefit over any other cleanser. . philosophy - Clear Days Ahead Oil-Free Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment Cleanser Key Ingredients: Salicylic Acid (helps prevent breakouts). Texture/Consistency: Gel Scent: Very strong orange scent Price: $22 for 8 oz Experience: Even after using this a couple times a week as my second cleanse at night, I’ve only seen a minimal amount of reduction in my acne and can’t contribute it solely to this. The scent is so strong that I can smell it for a while after washing my face. It can be difficult to completely wash off the face. Repurchase/Recommend?: No, too expensive for what it does.

Purity made simple.. is it worth it ?!!
This stuff truly gets my face clean! Furthermore, it's even useful for washing your makeup brushes! It leaves my face feeling so perfect and takes off my makeup without leaving my skin dry. I love that there's no smell and a little goes far. It's somewhat expensive, however, it is justified, despite all the trouble. I simply need something that will clean my face and evacuate my cosmetics! This face cleanser leaves my skin glowy and hydrated. There is a drawback to this product, which is heaps of fillers and I've done some extensive research to see what these ingredients. If you are thinking about buying this, I'd say go for it. It’s worth trying. philosophy - Purity Made Simple Cleanser

Philosophy shower gel
philosophy - Amazing Grace Magnolia Shampoo, Bath & Shower Gel what is it: a lightly fragranced shampoo, bath and shower gel that is gentle enough for daily use. my thoughts: while I don’t use this as a shampoo (color-treated hair), I absolutely love the amazing grace line for a shower gel. It is a bit pricey, but it lasts forever! It is a gel to foam lather and has never dried out my skin. It’s perfect for all skin types and love that it is delicately fragranced. Strong scents can irritate my skin but I have never had issues with this line. The magnolia is a fresh, spirited scent that I think most everyone would enjoy. I have been using this line for years and will continue to do so. Also perfect for baths too!!!

Philosophy just never disappoints. Sweet Vanilla Fig has been a favorite since I was like, 18, so like 5 years... ugh it just smells so great and feels so light and weightless.
