Oil Control Skincare
While my skin is generally on the dry side of "normal", my t-zone can get decently oily during the summer, so I make sure to have mattifying (but non-drying) products in my routine: ▪️ I don't use any cleansers or toners to prevent oil, as most I've tried are stripping (which just causes the skin to produce extra oil), but the Tatcha satin skin mist contains clay that absorbs oil gently- I hope they make a mini of it soon because I always have it with me! ▪️ going off that, I make sure my skin doesn't end up dehydrated from the heat or air conditioning by applying light layers of moisture in my routine. Recently I've used the Jurlique rose moisture plus serum or Volition snow mushroom water serum daily and my skin has been pretty happy ▪️ made an exception from avoiding "oil-control" items when I tried the belif hydra sebum control essence since I've yet to meet a belif product I didn't love, and sure enough it keeps excess oil at bay while still being hydrating ▪️ when it comes to moisturizer, I've found that a light gel cream like the Youth to the People superfood moisture cream under a bit of the caudalie vinopure mattifying fluid keeps my skin balanced during the day, though the new Erno Laszlo hydra therapy gel cream has also worked really well recently ▪️ supergoop makes most of my favorite sun protection products, and the mineral matte screen provides both SPF 40 coverage and a smooth base ▪️ on the rare occasion I do use a primer under my skin tint/bb cream, I turn to the heir atelier demi-matte primer Jurlique - Rose Moisture Plus Daily Moisture Balancing Serum ERNO LASZLO - Hydra-Therapy Gel Cream CAUDALIE - Vinopure Natural Oil Control Moisturizer TATCHA - The Satin Skin Mist belif - Hydra Sebum Control Essence VOLITION - Snow Mushroom Water Serum Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40 REED CLARKE - Heir Atelier Eye Primer

SUPERGOOP= SUPER GOOD!
Supergoop! - 100% Mineral Smooth & Poreless Matte Screen SPF 40 I LOVE this sunscreen/primer so much! I have oily combination skin. I get really oil on my t-zone, especially my nose area. I’ve just recently started using sunscreen earlier this year. This has been a game changer for my makeup and everyday skincare routine. Sunscreen is useful for protecting our skin from the sun and free radicals that can cause aging. Also, did you know that the blue light from our phones/electronic devices, can cause aging too? That’s right! So even if the sun is not out, still put on spf! Protect ya youth, girl! This contains Argan oil rich in vitamin E which helps with protect our skin from free radicals. It also has butterfly bush extract which helps with protecting the skin from blue light coming from our phone or electronic devices. It also contains White Mulberry Root which helps with evening out the skin. It feels very smooth and non-greasy. It feels like I don’t even have it on my face. It definitely feels like a primer consistency. The application is so seamless and glides on so easily. It definitely helps with reducing the appearance of my pores. I also noticed a more even skin tone. And this has definitely help keep me face matte all-day. I also like how it’s sweat resistant which is perfect for me and my 12 hour noc shifts. Protect me from the blue light when I’m charting! Also I’m so happy this is on Afterpay! I will definitely be repurchasing once I run out. I wish they have a mini version of this one too.

Clean everyday SPF!
Supergoop prides itself in being a clean brand that doesn’t sacrifice its products efficacy and I can absolutely see why! If you head on over to their website and look at their No-List, it has so many ingredients that you will never see in their products! Supergoop! - Everyday Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 PA ++++ is said to be a “hydrating, fast-absorbing formula [that] provides high performance protection from UVA, UVB, and IRA rays, while also helping prevent photoaging and dehydration.” And it is also water and sweat-resistant, up to 80 minutes! This product is advertised to be fast-absorbing and I’m not too sure what Supergoop’s requirements are to fall under that category. I absolutely LOVE fast-absorbing products and this, unfortunately, did not meet my requirements. I would say it takes a solid 30-60 minutes for it to absorb so that means you are left with greasy, shiny, and sticky skin for 30-60 minutes. Oh, speaking of sticky—Supergoop says this doesn’t leave you sticky either. So I am definitely a confused soul when it comes to what this product actually delivers and what Supergoop claims. If you are afraid of sunscreens that leave a white-cast, like myself, then you don’t have to worry about this one. Definitely no white-cast, which is what I love about this the most! Despite not enjoying this sunscreen as much as others, I am still willing to give Supergoop another try. It may have just been me choosing a product that wasn’t right for my skin type. So I’d probably recommend this to those who lean towards drier skin. I spoke with Supergoop and they kindly checked their master list for me after they had listed all their noncomedogenic sunscreens. This wasn’t originally on the list but after checking, they have found that it IS noncomedogenic which is amazing for us acne-prone folks! 💕

Supergoop Everyday Sunscreen
Supergoop! - Everyday Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 PA ++++ This smells really good but it’s a kind of sticky sunscreen. I mean when it dries. It’s a thick and creamy texture and takes a while to blend out and sink into the skin. It’s not worth it for me. But the price was really justifiable due to the size of it. You get a lot of sunscreen and it can be used on the body too. It’s supposed to moisturise too which it does but I have an oily t-zone and nose so this was a little too much for me. But no white cast and does moisturise as the product claims. This is also a SPF50 product which I usually go for. I can’t recommend this one unless you want to use it for the body on the beach or something. At least not for oily skin, acne prone skin or combination skin gals.

If you're looking for some excellent sunscreens I highly highly recommend supergoop. Their spf moisturizer is incredible, the glow stick is my dewy sunscreen dream, and I love their branding/message/innovation. 10/10/10/10 ☀️💛

Saturday Skin Probiotic Power Whipped Cream
SATURDAY SKIN - Pretty Pop Probiotic Power Whipped Cream I adore the Saturday Skin bright potion serum, so when they gifted me their new pretty pop probiotic power whipped cream, I expected to be equally infatuated. Cute holographic packaging? Check. Powerhouse ingredients? Check. Probiotics AND prebiotics? Check. Yet it doesn't quite measure up to the bright potion serum, even though I'm aware that comparing the two doesn't make a ton of sense since they're completely different product types. Like the rest of the probiotic power line, the cream has niacinamide (my favorite skincare ingredient) to soothe and even out skin tone, four types of probiotics to improve complexion and strengthen the moisture barrier, and two types of prebiotics to help the probiotics work better. (I know, it was hard to word that bit) There's also hibiscus extract to smoothe texture, as well as moringa seed extract to make skin glow. On paper, this sounded perfect, yet despite the light texture, it left my skin feeling greasy even though I'm on the dry side. It has been quite humid here lately, so this could very well work better in cooler weather. There are little probiotic beads that release upon application, which is fine since it goes on so easily, but that part wasn't clearly mentioned, so when I first opened it I thought mine had gone off somehow. It's too early to speak to its brightening abilities; perhaps that'll change given time and/or using it in conjunction with the serum. I'm all for splurging on a product that really works for you, but in this case the $57 price tag doesn't feel justified. Currently only available online at Sephora

Are you wishing and willing it to be Spring every second of the day like I am?!?! I’m so over the cold weather and missing the sunshine like you can’t even imagine! After catching myself daydreaming about our trip to Mexico today I was reminded how much I love these @supergoop goodies that the lovely @erinmeskers sent me before our vacation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The Glow Oil SPF 50 was my go-to for legs and is perfect for protecting while accentuating my tan (sunless of course). The Glow Stick SPF 50 is so convenient for travel and quick touchups, plus it makes my cheekbones pop! PLAY Everyday Lotion SPF 30 was perfect for full-body coverage and I appreciate that it’s fast-absorbing, non-greasy, water and sweat-resistant. Supergoop! - Glow Stick SPF 50 Supergoop! - Glow Oil SPF 50 Supergoop! - PLAY Everyday Lotion SPF 30 with Sunflower Extract ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now my new faves are of course the highly-touted Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 and the new Bright-Eyed 100% Mineral Eye Cream SPF 40! Unseen Sunscreen truly is totally invisible, weightless, and makes THE perfect primer under my beloved @Kosas Tinted Face Oil. I can’t even tell you how many compliments I received on my skin throughout that trip and I owe it all to the combo! And Bright-Eyed is such a great option for anyone’s daytime routine because it not only provides UV protection but also helps to shield your eye area from the aging effects of blue light. This formula really brightens my eye area and helps reduce the appearance of dark circles and fine lines (which I definitely need). It also layers beautifully under concealer for you daily makeup wearers. Love the finish of both of these and they’ve officially made it to my must-have list. Can’t wait to try the new Glow Screen illuminating spf because I live for that glow!✨ Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Supergoop! - Bright-Eyed 100% Mineral Eye Cream SPF 40

Brand Spotlight: Supergoop!
I discovered Supergoop through the “skinstagram” community (does using this term make me a boomer?) and loved their mission and that they’re a brand dedicated to SPF—that immediately increased my trust in them. However be careful what you wish for... Products I’ll be reviewing: Shimmershade SPF 30 Glow Stick SPF 50 Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 MY FAVES: Supergoop! - Shimmershade Illuminating Cream Eyeshadow SPF 30 Shimmershade SPF 30 Eyeshadow: this is just an incredible daily cream eyeshadow formula. I hate the heavy feeling of facial SPF on my eyelids and this came in CLUTCH. It feels just like a lightweight cream eyeshadow and looks amazing. I have the shade “” and it looks incredibly seamless when blended in with my fingers for that “next level” eye look. The pot has a ton of product in it for the price point ($24) and I highly recommend you try it at least once. Get a sample from Sephora! Supergoop! - Glow Stick SPF 50 Glow Stick SPF 50: I was really hesitant about this one—I purchased it as a chemical SPF option that wouldn’t pill under makeup. Surprisingly, I love this formula. It doesn’t sit on top of your skin and feels super lightweight. It’s also really easy to reapply during the day! I like that it’s a solid stick formula so it won’t leak or spill in your bag. My only real complaint is the packaging. You push the product up from the bottom and it’s just kind of hard to control at time how much you push up. Like a push pop without being able to push it back down. It also lasts FOREVER so $25 doesn’t seem unreasonable to me. NOT SO MUCH - LEAST FAVE: Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40: this is a translucent blurring SPF formula. The texture is SO silky. I loved how it applied to my skin...but any time I use this, my skin immediately breaks out in a rash. I’m not sure why this happens. I’ve heard so many great things about this product but my experiences haven’t been great, and at $34, I can’t justify the price at all, leaving it in the bottom tier of this brand Spotlight. What are your favorites from Supergoop?

Supergoop CC Cream - matching my summer skintone
When it comes to summer, warm weather and constant sunshine, I was on the hunt for a good tinted sunscreen - enter Supergoop CC Cream. This CC Cream was surprisingly full coverage, and it matches my tanned summer skin perfectly while still protecting my skin (wear your spf peeps!!). I wear the shade light/medium & it works for summer but is definitely too dark for my pale winter skin!

I recently received the Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 from Cherie in my Weekly Picks box that I won & was thrilled to have a full size of this!!! I fell in love with this product the minute I saw & tried the texture. Who would have thought they could make an almost-clear sunscreen! The texture of this is wild! It works great alone as a last step in your AM routine or as a great makeup primer. I love that Supergoop recently reformulated all of their products in order to be reef-safe to help protect our oceans’ environments!☀️🌊🌟

Hi guys!! Today I’m gonna talk about my new fave sunscreen. The Supergoop! - Unseen Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 40 is great at protecting my skin from the sun AND as a primer for makeup! I got this in a Sephora favorites kit and I’ve so far used up three of these minis I had laying around - so a full size is coming soon. Claims: — invisible — weightless — scentless — “makeup gripping primer” Active Ingredients: — Avobenzone, 3%, Homosalate 8%, Octisalate 5%, Octocrylene 4% My thoughts: — I didn’t think this would work as a primer. I mean come on... it’s sunscreen! But this is one of the top primers in my arsenal. — I really like the texture! It’s very silky and slides on very easily, dries down to a non tinted formula and doesn’t make my skin red or irritated. No white cast! — the primer is top tier, I can compare it to $50 primers easily! — 5/5 for primer! — 5/5 for sunscreen! — the .5oz is $17 and the 1.7 is $34! I think it’s totally worth the money 💰

The Best Way To Re-Apply Sunscreen
The Best Way To Re-Apply Sunscreen
Supergoop! - Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45 I will say that I am pretty good about making sure I wear sunscreen every single day in the mornings. It’s always the last step of my morning skincare routine. I will admit, however, that I’m not always the best about re-applying it throughout the day, especially if I’m wearing makeup. The Supergoop! Invincible Setting Powder SPF 45 is such an innovative product that makes it easy to reapply sunscreen throughout the day. It’s formulated as a setting powder so it can go over makeup. I think it’s a genius invention that keeps your skin protected!
