Makeup For My Graduation Photoshoot!!! 🎓💖✨
First of all, congrats to all my fellow 2020 graduates!!! I recently did a graduation photoshoot with my family and so I wanted to show you the makeup I did for it! I wanted to look like myself but more enhanced and defined. I started with MAKE UP FOR EVER - Full Cover Concealer to cover any blemishes on my face. It has a super thick and high coverage formula that lasts all day (it’s literally waterproof!) and is perfect for pinpoint concealing! I skipped foundation because I wanted my makeup to look more skinlike in the photos and not super flat. I then defined my brows with MAYBELLINE - Brow Ultra Slim Defining Eyebrow Pencil . It’s a great dupe for Anastasia’s brow wix and any other more “expensive” skinny brow pencil. It’s not too pigmented where you accidentally like like you use a sharpie to draw on your brows. It has the perfect in-between pigment and wax so it lasts all day and adds thickness to the brows. I used benefit - 24-Hour Brow Setter Clear Brow Gel to set my brows. It’s literally super glue for brows! This is a clear gel that keeps my hairs looking fluffy and combed up all day. I used the bronzer and highlight fromTOM FORD - Soleil Contouring Compact to add some warmth, glow and definition to the face. It has a super smooth powder formula that doesn’t look like makeup once on the skin! It blends in perfectly and seamlessly so it looks just like skin. For blush I used CHANEL - ROUGE COCO Lip Blush in 420 for a warm berry glow on the cheeks. This is a gel like formula that is super cheer but buildable. It also leaves a nice glassy sheen on the skin! To set the concealer and the parts of my face that gets shiny throughout the day, I used rms beauty - "Un" Powder . It makes my skin look satin smooth and doesn’t let any shine come through! It also doesn’t have flashback (if you apply only a sheer layer on the skin). For eyeshadow, I used TOM FORD - Cream and Powder Eye Color in Naked Bronze. It’s a beautiful combination of a creamy, moussey bronze cream shadow and a sheer but super glittery gold powder shadow top coat. It lasts all day and looks suuper flattering! I always get questions on what I have on my eyesqhen I wear it. I used my holy-grail favorite DollyWink - DollyWink Liquid Eyeliner to line my eyes for extra definition. It has a super fine tip for extra precision and the formula is inky black and doesn’t budge at all! For the biggest, baddest lashes, I used LANCÔME - Monsieur Big Waterproof Mascara . It adds so much volume and length to my lashes and the waterproof formula makes it stay on all day without any smudging. For the lips, I wanted a shade similar to my natural lip color so I went for COLOURPOP - Ultra Blotted Lip from Pony’s Collaboration in Holly Lolly. It’s a beautiful warm pink!
Declutter With Me! CONCEALERS 💖✨ (Pros & Cons)
What I’m Keeping: MAKE UP FOR EVER - Full Cover Concealer in 6 This is my go-to concealer for blemishes and spots. It’s super waterproof and long-lasting so it’s perfect for keeping things covered all day! MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Self-Setting Concealer in 30 A great all-rounded concealer that is buildable and natural looking while still providing great coverage! ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Radiant Concealer in 2W This medium to full coverage concealer leaves skin looking radiant and glowy without being overly dewy. I love using this under my eyes to brighten and conceal! The finish is perfect so I tend to use this everyday. ARMANI beauty - Power Fabric Concealer 5.25 This concealer is a tad dark for under my eyes but it’s the perfect thin consistency for mixing with my other concealers (when I’m more tan). The coverage is medium but buildable and has a natural satin finish. Glossier. - Stretch Concealer in G9 My favorite concealer for when I don’t want to put a full face of makeup on, but still have some spots I want to cover. It’s super emollient and creamy so it melts into the skin providing a hint of coverage and leaving a “makeup-free” looking glow. What I’m Decluttering: FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Concealer in 170 This concealer is too drying and full coverage for my preference. I don’t even have dry skin but everytime I apply this, whether on my face or under my eyes, it dries and makes my skin look crepey! benefit - Boi-ing Cakeless Concealer in 2 This is super similar to Tarte Shape Tape and Fenty’s concealer. The formula is slightly less thick than Fenty but thicker than Tarte. I find it looking to heavy on my face as I prefer more medium coverage concealers with a dewy finish. REVLON - Photoready Candid Antioxidant Concealer in 505 The formula reminds me of a liquid version of Glossier Stretch and as I’m keeping the glossier one, I don’t feel the need to keep this as well. The only difference between the two is that the finish of this isn’t as dewy as Glossier, so if that’s what you prefer, try this! The coverage is light to medium. rms beauty - Un" Cover-Up Cream Foundation in 22 I couldn’t justify keeping two cream pot concealers and I just prefer the more emollient formula of Glossier. This is a harder formula that takes some warming up and it dries slightly more satiny on the skin. The biggest downside is that this product contains coconut oil, which sometimes breaks my face out. Coconut oil seems to work fine on my body as a body oil but on the face, it’s a little too heavy for my skin to tolerate!

Wish they would bring the lip gloss back though
Aqua Lips by Make Up ForEver is my all time favorite. Sadly they don’t make these anymore; but I pick them up whenever I see someone selling them. I wish they would bring them back. Sorry, but none of their new formulas are the same. The one I am wearing is 16C and the lip liner (which is still sold) Is also being worn. I put this on this morning, was running around all day, are pulling pork and barbecue beef, drank, it was raining (and I had no umbrella), and I took this pic at 11:30 at night. Not bad at all! There was a little transfer to my cup and fork, and also onto my face mask; but overall not as bad as usual. Just don’t expect to make out in this and not see a mess...you and your partner may resemble a lighter version of Harley Quinn and the Joker, depending on the shade. What didn’t hold up as well all day was my face makeup. I’m not sure what the oil thing was I had going on, it wasn’t a very warm day at all, but I had some shine and oil. The only thing different in my routine was the Make Up For Ever HD foundation. I had a deluxe sample and really wanted it to work. While it went on nice and didn’t settle into fine lines or exaggerate pores and seemed like a great everyday foundation for when I want something nice and light; what I definitely don’t want is something that doesn’t have staying power. Nor do I want to have to go heavy on the powder; as then lines and pores tends to become more obvious. I feel like finding the right setting powder is the key to making this work. Eye makeup held up great! Too Faced makes fantastic eye primer and I always have good luck with it and with my Urban Decay palettes and eye liners. I recently discovered that Essence makes some pretty amazing mascaras too. Shocking, since I am so used to spending a fortune. These go for between 3 and 7 dollars, depending where you get them and if they are on sale. Are you kidding me? Unless it’s a mini, I hadn’t spent less than $15 on mascara in years! I should mention that my eyes get pretty watery, so finding eye makeup that holds up in a challenge.
Cover-girl Clean Foundation Review
I have always had a special place in my heart for this foundation if I’m speaking honestly. Back when I was in cosmetology school, and we were given our SICKENING Makeup Forever kits, I was SO excited to start playing even though I had literally -12 makeup knowledge. So after wasting a full bottle of the MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation I needed to find something more cost effective that still gave the amazing results that foundation did! I remember my mom used to use the Cover-girl Sensitive Line, and the smell of that foundation was my childhood! I loved watching my mom put it on in the morning, because it meant she would feel her most beautiful 😇 I figured since I had oily skin, ALL my base products had to have matte finish, and I’d never get glowy, dewy skin like the girls on Instagram! I’d have to just highlight later and hope for the best. Since school, I have opened my eyes to a wide variety of drugstore foundations, (Be ready for reviews on them later!) and after discovering MAYBELLINE - Fit Me Matte + Poreless Liquid Foundation and wet n wild - Photofocus Liquid Matte Foundation I all but forgot about it! But as of lately, my makeup budget is TIGHT and I really needed new foundation like yesterday! Cue Cover-girl Foundation in Clean. I’ve grown out of matte finishes, I find they are too limiting when you place products on top of them, because even if you have a GORGEOUS shimmery blush, the shimmer seems dull because of the matte base it’s adhering to. I tried this stuff for the first time yesterday and I was pretty impressed, honestly! It blends kind of strangely but I’m also a blending ADDICT so it doesn’t bother me TOO much, but for someone who needs efficiency it might go downhill for you. It does apply well with fingers but a little goes a LONG way so be careful, sponge girls! And can we talk about the smell?? It smells almost like a medicated cleanser??? And it has a slight drying effect on the skin, but it doesn’t really finish matte. It’s medium/buildable coverage doesn’t appear heavy, and it sets BEAUTIFULLY under powder! I’d recommend using a stick concealer with it though, as it is rather liquidy. Overall, this foundation is SUPER good for the price, I’m actually shocked I can find any foundation under even $15 these days! It shall hold me over for now until I get my photo focus back by wet n wild and I can be a satin dream like I’ve always wanted!

MAKE UP FOR EVER 💄 Doesn’t Last Forever
Just tried the MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Rouge Lipstick in shade M301 and it was a pretty big disappointment. First off, the shade is a very pretty fuschia, but it was advertised more as a poppy/reddish orange (this may be more Sephora’s fault with the bad advertising...). It does go on smoothly and feels nice... HOWEVER, it does not last. It’s supposed to be a long-wear lipstick (8 hours) but it isn’t. The second I took a sip from my water bottle, a bunch of the pigment wore off. By lunchtime it was almost all gone. This would probably be fine to wear if you don’t plan on eating or drinking and if you don’t mind reapplying every few hours. Overall, I was disappointed. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Rouge Artist Lipstick
My Go To Lipsticks 💄
My fav lipsticks💄 are: Make Up For Ever L 104 MAKE UP FOR EVER - Rouge Artist Lipstick, Charlotte Tilbury Tell Laura Charlotte Tilbury - Hot Lips Lipstick, Lancôme Absolu Rouge No. 07 LANCÔME - L'Absolu Rouge Hydrating Lipstick, and Hourglass I Woke UpHOURGLASS - Confession Ultra Slim High Intensity Refillable Lipstick. Charlotte Tilbury Tell Laura has a matte finish, but isn't dry at all nor does it show lip lines. Lancôme Absolu Rouge No. 07 goes on smooth, provides high pigmentation while keeping lips feeling moisturized. It's also long lasting and smells nice. The lipstick does transfer when you eat, but your lips will still have some color. Hourglass's lipstick is my new favorite. I Woke Up is a pink beige color with a creamy texture. It goes on smoothly, neither drying up on the lips nor gathering in my lip lines and has one of the highest color payoffs. The sleek metallic pink casing is just perfect. The Make Up For Ever lipstick makes my lips smooth, soft and moist. 💋 The thin color is almost non existent on my lips, unlike the other three that have high color payoff.

The easiest way to cover up acne scars & pimples
I have acne-prone skin and latelyyyyyy I’ve been getting some gnarly cystic pimples. Since I can’t quite breakdown what’s causing this resurge in cystic acne, I’ve been getting super stressed out and have been guilty of popping and prodding some of the big mamas that have been coming up to say hi. But as we all know, popping leads to scarring and scarring is so hard to hide under makeup, especially when they’re so big, scabbing over and purple. I haven’t exactly mastered covering up acne scars, but I have found that it comes down a strategic layering technique and a lot of powder. To start, I always prep the affected area with a hydrating primer but if the scar is really raised and textured I like to use Weleda Skin Food directly on it because I don’t want the scar to cause a dry patch. Then, I add a dab of concealer over it and blend it out and apply powder on top of it. Then, I’ll carry on with the rest of my complexion makeup and apply foundation and concealer and lock them both in with the powder. When layering, I’ve found that it’s important to watch how you use your brush. If you just sweep it over the scar, then you’ll quickly find that the product will move and it won’t build on top of it the way you want it. Instead, dab the brush and the product on and tap. Sometimes I’ll use my finger to blend my concealer and tap it in. I also try to avoid matte and drying formulas over the acne scars I’m trying to cover since I don’t want any peeling or dry spots but I’ve seen other people recommend it. These are my favorite products for covering acne scars: WELEDA - Skin Food Original Ultra-Rich Cream – a little goes a long way. If you use a lot, it can make you look oily and it has made me breakout in the past. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Self-Setting Concealer FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundation laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder – I like to use a small highlight brush instead of a big fluffy powder brush for this because I want more of a focused of powder application.
Easy Job Interview Glam
When it comes to my ~professional~ glam, I like to keep things minimal but still make sure to contour and highlight the appropriate areas – the goal is a soft glow that accentuates your features without looking too much. I think it’s also important to apply powder, especially if you’re like me and have oily skin and are prone to sweat when you get nervous lol. Keeping shine in mind, I like to opt for mattifying complexion products and powder formulas when it comes to bronzer, blush, and highlight - but these days, my favorite bronzers and blushes are cream formulations. For the eyes, I think all you need is a little sweep of mascara and/or liner depending on what you’re into. To really make them pop and elevate your look, I like to go in with a neutral eyeshadow to give the eyes more definition and make myself look more put together. And for the finishing touch, all you need is your favorite lipstick. I feel like any color goes and your glam can be a great way to let your personality shine through. These are the products I use: REVLON - Photoready Candid Glow Moisture Glow Anti-Pollution Foundation MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Self-Setting Concealer MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick – for a natural-looking contour, I like to warm the product up on the back of my hand and then I pick it up from there with an angled bronzer brush. MERLE NORMAN - Cheek Crayon - like with the contour stick, I recommend applying creme blushes to your hand first and picking it up from there. This gives you more control when you apply it and really helps you build it up to that natural-looking flush. I also love to add a little to my eyes to sub in for eyeshadow. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder – if you're on the oilier side like me, I've found that you need to apply this powder all over and do so about 2-3 times. It's a little annoying, but it creates such a gorgeous glow that you really look airbrushed and it's totally worth it. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Butter Highlighter – make sure you dab the excess off or you’ll look ~crazy~ glowy. I learned this the hard way. Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick

Get rid of the oily hair!
In summer days, my hair gets oily very easily. Oily hair always makes my face look bigger and gives others an awkward feeling. I usually wash my hair every two days but just cannot stop it from getting oily the next day lol. I’ve got two tips to make my hair looks dry and fluffy and here they are. Tip One: Tap some setting powder onto the hair roots We all know that the theory of setting powder is to absorb extra oil of your skin. So does the hair oil, I suppose. I love MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder. It’s always my last step in the makeup routine. The transparent and weightless powder could always give me a perfect naturally matte, light-diffusing finish. Since it’s invisible, I tried to tap it onto the hair roots. And after a whole day’s out, I found the top of my head still fluffy, not oily as usual, which makes me surprised. The formula is non-drying and I never feel any uncomfortable. After that trail, once I found my hair roots oily but do not have time to wash my hair, I will tap some onto my head. A little goes a long way and the instant effect is quite long-lasting. Tip Two: Choose right haircare products Setting powder could only make your hair “looks” fluffy, if you want to solve the real problem, then you should choose a right hair care product. I’m lucky that I’ve found my true destiny: Living proof. - Perfect Hair Day (PhD) 5-in-1 Styling Treatment. You can see from the name that it’s a multitasking hair treatment which could style and treat hair in one simple step. This product is not designed for oily hair, but it could style your hair with volume and smoothness. It could help avoid oily hair “sticks” to the skin and looks messy. If you’re looking for a good styling treatment to avoid hair from looking oily, that will be a perfect choice. I will keep repurchasing the above products. I think they worth the price and do help me fix the oily hair problem.
Perfect Base | Flawless Makeup 101
First thing first, get your skin prepped before moving on to the next step. Cleansing, exfoliating, and moisturizing your skin as you normally do. Also Make sure you moisturize before you apply foundation. Personally, I just simply wash my face and throw on an all-in-one moisturizer. oh, and don’t forget to prime! I like to go with a liquid foundation. L'ORÉAL - Infallible Total Cover Foundation This one here is my new fav drugstore foundation from Lo'Real. Liquid is the standard, and the most used, type of foundation. This one gives your the coverage you'll need with the matte finish look yet not too dry. It is a very worthy drugstore foundation that you should definitely give it a try. Then I like to go with a setting powder. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Microfinishing Loose Powder This one here is my favorite one that ive been using for at least 3 years. It is transparent. And the good thing about a "no color" powder is that it works for every skintones and it doenst mess up with your foundations. Sometimes if the powder color doesnt match with your foundation, it could ended up with a wired look. This setting powder I use is for helping to absorb excess oil and leave skin with a more smooth, velvety finish. This helps keep my foundation in place, provides a little extra coverage, and can help give a more flawless appearance.Especially in summer I love my foundation to be matte. Setting can be used by anyone, but are best for those with oily skin or combination oil. *Tip* Tools Tools Tools. Product is obviously the main thing that's makes the difference of how well your face look and how long it would last. The right brushes, sponges, and tools can guarantee your makeup looks as natural and flawless as possible.

How I create a natural, even lip line!
I love a nude lip! And it’s even better when I can use just a small amount of product and make them look nice and full! I start by marking sure my lips are smooth. A few nights a week, I gently take a wash cloth and rub it over my lips in circular motions. Then I make sure to apply some lip balm before I go to sleep. I like the the fresh - Sugar Advanced Therapy Lip Treatment but it’s super expensive. I also love the LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask , it’s cheaper and I think you get more product! When I’m finished with my makeup the next day, I’ll highlight my Cupid’s bow. I use the laura mercier - Translucent Loose Setting Powder I enjoy this setting powder, but I only use it as a highlight. It’s WAY too sparkly and glowy to use all over the face as a setting powder. Then I’ll use the MAKE UP FOR EVER - Artist Color Pencil: Eye, Lip & Brow Pencil in Wherever Walnut to draw my lip line. I’ll draw it just a small distance outside my natural lip line and fill in the outer 25% of my lips as well. This pencil is a nice browny nude for my light skin tone. Next, I will as just a touch of lipstick. I won’t swipe this on, I’ll lightly dab it on my lips so we still see the effects of the lip liner. I use the MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick in Slow Burn which is also a browny nude. Finally, I’ll top it off with a bit of lip gloss just in the center of the lip. I’ve been really enjoying the FLOSS GLOSS - Floss beauty my new favorite lip gloss it’s clear, goes with any lip color, and smells and tastes like sweet vanilla! #cheriepartner

OMG 😱 This Setting Spray is Amazing
I am a setting sprays collector. I cannot say it works better than setting powders. More of a reason is that I really enjoy the whole experience of setting my face and whole makeup. I kinda feel like I am wearing a perfume like what they did in old movies. Back to the topic, I have tried different setting sprays in market from drugstore to high-end. Everything mainly distinguish a good spray is the nozzle. I know product formula and ingredients could be mainly the core advantage of a product, but as for setting sprays, the nozzle is the part that controls the mist for. Some of them feels like it spits at you with all these large droplets on your face and hair. And it just ruins your whole makeup. After trying different brands and products, Make Up Forever has the best nozzle and mist out of all the setting sprays in my collection. Surprisingly my top 2 favorite setting sprays are all from MUF. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Light Velvet Air Shine-Control Refreshing Spray It has the best applicator. The mist is very dewy and feels like a cloud. The formula on this is incredible. This is something that I am looking for when I want my makeup to be locked in tight through out the day. And especially when I am wearing a mask for a long time, it leaves my mask clean! At the same time, it also leaves the skin looks a little wet.You can also use this to damp your beauty blender before applying foundations to make it stay longer. Or on your brushes for eyeshadow to make the pigment more intense. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Mist & Fix Hydrating Setting Spray This setting spray, honestly, is a game-changer for me. This one I use it more of a skincare. This moisturized version feels so light and comfortable. It is not as strong as the other one in terms of setting makeup in place. This one makes my skin looks incredibly healthy all day long and it never greasy. It is a really stable product in my routine now. It is also a good on-the-go product for me to reach for when I feel like my skin needs a little bit of refresh in the middle of the day since I know that this spray is not going to add any sort of oiliness. It feels like adding more plump to my skin. It does a great job at refresh and hydrate my skin without messing it up. Both are fabulous products! Highly recommended
You Slept Late And Have An *In Person* Meeting!
Step One: Don’t forget that you stashed an emergency mask in your purse. Step Two: You Don’t Have Time For A Shower. Brush your teeth, wash your face, wear a scarf. Step Three: The Five Minute Make-Up Routine that will have you look has rested as a rose. Are roses rested? I was mainly going for alliteration there. Eyes: CLINIQUE - Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes in Amble Amber. Okay, whoever names these does a terrible job but I firmly believe that this line of no primer needed eyeshadow sticks is Clinique’s best product with a range of neutrals for many skin tones. ILIA - Limitless Lash Mascara Who did Ilia bribe to get the buzz they have gotten for this product? I poked myself at n the eye four times with the wand. I haven’t done that since The Terminator was governor of California. Ridiculous. Returning it this week. Pat McGrath, I’ll never leave you again! PS I seem to be allergic to it. bareMinerals - Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 in Opal Good buildable coverage. Stays put once it dries down. Gives me a nice glow. I am almost at empty! Yay me! I love how it makes me look so refreshed and like I am not wearing makeup. erborian - BB Crayon Concealer & Touch-Up Stick in Clair. Getting a new under eye concealer this week. Any thoughts? CHANTECAILLE - Philanthropy Cheek Shade in Emotion. The product is hard to get out of the pan but it has a great texture. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Mist & Fix Hydrating Setting Spray Smells awfu, works well. No lipstick because we are venturing into the world of masks! Good luck at your meeting with your boss’s boss!

Fall Makeup 🍁
ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Soft Glam Eyeshadow Palette - By far one of the best neutral palettes on the market. I love the powdery yet velvety quality of the shadows as well as the wide variety of shades. The shades within this palette flatter my hazel eyes, but I’d imagine this would work for all eye colors, and are so great for fall. On days where I don’t want a full eyeshadow look, I use a small Morphe brush to create soft eyeliner with the Cyprus Umber or Noir shades. I use my URBAN DECAY - Eyeshadow Primer Potion to make the look last and throughout the day, I get so many compliments—it’s a must have! Charlotte Tilbury - Lip Cheat Lip Liner - Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk Collection contains some of my favorite products! The matte lipstick, gloss, and eyeshadow quad are some of my favorites and this Lip Cheat absolutely lives up to the hype. So many lip liners can be too patchy, thin, thick, drying, etc., but this is so velvety and lasts all day! Foundations from Make up for ever—liquid or powder?
Today I want to share two products from Make up for ever, which is a professional brand with a great reputation. And their face products are really popular. I tried both the HD foundation and the Blurring powder foundation. I have dry skin, and I usually use moisturizing cream before I apply foundations, and my main expectation for them is to cover at least 50% of my pimples and acne marks. Besides, I have serious pores problem, and I need my foundations to fill and blur my pores. About the shade selection, I don’t want to look too white so I always go for the color that with neutral or yellow undertones. Let’s start with the Ultra HD Foundation, which is their best-selling, everyday liquid foundation. It has 50 shades, which is awesome, and my shade is Y225-Marble, for light skin with golden undertone. I had high expectations for this because lots of people said it didn’t dry out their skin and was comfortable to wear. It also has Hyaluronic Acid inside for hydrating. The finish is okay for me because it does give me a pretty natural look and can last for at least 6-7 hours. But there are several things I am not happy with. First of all, if I use a regular beauty blender to apply it, I can’t get much coverage even I use a lot. I can either use a dense brush or the velvet sponge from JUNO & Co. to have around 60% coverage. Besides, if I didn’t use a hydrating primer, I would have dry patches on my nose, cheeks and my smiling lines. The last thing is that I expected it to give me a luminous finish, but as you can see, it’s quite matte. So I need to use a setting spray to give myself some glow. To be honest, I use this foundation a lot for my daily makeup because it is really easy to blend and long-lasting, and it just doesn’t give me a surprise. Then let’s talk about the Matte Velvet Skin Powder. It claims to be full coverage, blurring powder with a lifelike matte finish, and you can wear 12 hours without cakes, flakes or fades. There are 30 shades and the names are the same as the HD collection. I use the shade Y235-ivory beige, which is a little darker than my skin but looks good after I finish my makeup. Compared to the HD one, I love this one much better—higher coverage, more blurring, longer-lasting, and almost no caking. At first, I thought it could be too dry for me to use powder products, but this one is really smooth and visibly reducing pores and still lightweight. Besides, it’s convenient to carry with and has a mirror inside. After buying this, I never used the HD one again. In conclusion, I feel like if you have the same skin problems, need coverage, and love matte finish. I highly recommend the Matte Velvet Powder Foundation no matter what skin type you got only if you prime well. And this is my favorite foundation ever!
Best Makeup for Skin tone - MUFE
This MAKE UP FOR EVER - Matte Velvet Skin Full Coverage Foundation has been my holy grail foundation since May 2019! I got tired of always buying incorrect foundations and concealers. Or when I did manage to get a shade close enough, it would make my already oily prone skin even more oily! Finally, I went to Sephora with my graduation gift card and got matched for a matte foundation! I went in thinking Fenty Beauty would be my winning foundation unfortunately the Sephora employee had a hard time matching me with the Fenty foundation. You see I have light to medium skin with a neutral undertone. I always thought I was pink undertone until the lovely lady at Sephora said the neutral undertone would cancel out the light pink on my face. And BAM - we got a winner with shade Y355 in MUFE Matte Velvet Skin Full Coverage Foundation. It’s a natural beige color and when I say it’s amazing it’s 5/5 stars hands down! It’s full coverage and lasts all day long! I wear makeup six days a week and only use this foundation because it matches my skin perfectly! Even though it’s matte, this foundation is perfect for normal, dry, and combo skin! It’s a semi thick consistency that applies well with a makeup sponge or brush. I personally use a wet beauty blender and it looks so natural. I wanted a matte foundation because last summer I had many outdoor events and I did not want to constantly check my face to see if my face was melting off or looked oily. I had an amazing summer with this foundation and continue to do so with it now in the winter. I started recommending this foundation as soon as I was done with my sample because i could tell it was going to be a goodie! Compared to other foundation, this one is a steal at $38.00 for 1.01 oz of product. I purchased my bottle in May and am just now getting through half the product. Please buy this foundation if you’re like me and need a matte perfectly matched shade! 💛
The Best Foundation- Makeup Forever Water Blend
This foundation is the sheer, airy, low coverage skin tint that BB creams are marketed as. While BB creams and tinted moisturizers typically sit on top of my skin with a thick and oily sheen, this water-based skin tint is incredibly light and sinks right in. Because the base is watery, it evaporates and leaves behind a light-medium coverage canvas which looks like real skin. As long as you use a hydrating moisturizer underneath and skip the face oil, it looks like your skin but the tone is more even throughout. Doesn’t stick to dry patches, and the broad color matching palate makes it very easy to find a shade that matches my exact skin color! I’ve been using this foundation exclusively for over a year and could never replace it. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Water Blend Face & Body Foundation

I’ve tried SO many different foundations, I typically love them for awhile and either change my mind or find something better. I used to swear by Fenty’s matte foundation but I fell in love with this one after a recommendation from a Sephora employee. It feels light and covers imperfections well.

Products swatched from top to bottom: Ilia Color Block High impact lipstick in Marsala Nars Audacious Lipstick in Charlotte Make up for ever artist rouge lipstick in Smokey pink Lilah B lovingly Lip tinted oil My experience: For someone with very sensitive lips, I have a hard time finding lip products that don’t irritate my lips and these 4 lipsticks provide me a long lasting pigment without making my lips itchy. If I had to choose one of these it would be Ilia’s color block high pigment lipstick. All these lipsticks offer intense pigmentation and have a very comfortable formula which wears beautifully throughout the day. Do I recommend these? yes absolutely, these are all high end lip colors but they are worth the price tags Price: Ilia color block lipstick: $28 for 0.14 oz Nars audacious lipstick: $34 for 0.14 oz Make up for ever artist rouge lipstick: $22 for 0.12 oz Lilah b lovingly lip tinted oil: $30 for 0.1 oz
Mascara Roundup 4 ………………………………………..................... •Make Up For Ever “Smoky Extravagant”: has a dual-purpose brush with a precision tip for lash separation and a rounded base for good volumizing. it uses “ a microdefining wax complex to envelope lashes with ultrablack pigments for impact and precision” - I think it does add good volume and the tip is good for the inner and outer lashes. . . •Make Up For Ever “Excessive Lash”: has a really small brush advertised to “add bold definition and alluring volume” - this is not my favorite , but I do use it to separate my lower lashes. . . •Doucce “Maxlash Volumizer”: I received this in an Ipsy bag and love it for volume & length! It has a creamy & buildable formula that doesn’t flake and doesn’t clump easily. . . •Bobbi Brown “Smokey Eye”: kohl-pigmented for “maximum volume and super-saturated length for dramatically dark, stretched out lashes”… I agree! I really like this mascara. it lengthens my lashes and provides awesome volume. The brush also separates lashes well! . . •Marcelle “Curling & Lengthening”: this brand is recognized for being hypoallergenic, frangrance-free and ophthalmologically tested so it is advertised for being great for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers - I have sensitive eyes and wear contacts, and it hasn’t irritated my eyes at all! It “features a unique brush that hugs the natural curve of your eye” to define, lengthen and curl- I agree! It provides great separation, lengthening and curl. Best all around= Bobbi Brown Best volumizing= Doucce Best defining and curling= Marcelle
MAKE UP FOR EVER-Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara
I've been using a mix of these products to get a smooth complexion. Since I have acne scars, some days need more coverage than others. Dior makeup Backstage Foundation is the perfect level of medium coverage. It's the foundation I use most days. It's lightweight, but really evens out the coloration of your skin. Itcosmetics Bye Bye Foundation and Bye Bye Undereye are two that give you the full coverage you need. The Concealer is for those days when you're going THROUGH it. It covers the darkest of under eye circles. The foundation is color correcting so it evens everything out really well. It leaves your skin fresh and dewy. Makeup foreverus Setting Powder is like dust sent from the heavens. It blurs and smooths out my foundation and leaves me looking like I put a filter on my face. It's super silky and holds all day. Tartecosmetics Shape Tape Concealer is the perfect everyday concealer. Sometimes I just wear it and blend it in where I need a little help, and no foundation. If there was one concealer I would recommend over every other one, this would be it.
DIOR-BACKSTAGE Face & Body Foundation
my recent go to nude lip
MAKE UP FOR EVER - Artist Color Pencil: Eye, Lip & Brow Pencil - love this lip liner! it’s more on the dry side but that’s why I like it! It doesn’t move around and stays put! Color payoff is so nice! Definitely want to try more shades!! ARTIST COUTURE - Plush Pout Lip Gloss - such a high pigment gloss and stays put! Not too sticky and such a nice nude color! NYX - Filler Instinct Plumping Lip Color - definitely plumps a little bit! More of a balm that gives off a nice color. Color doesn’t stay too long but so easy to reapply !
