FREAKING AMAZING!!! My hair has never felt so smooth before using this
Lately, I've been having more difficulty getting my hair as smooth as in the past. I've also experienced a more breakage than normal. My hair is thin, fine and pretty coarse while also being stupid frizzy.
I knew it's hard to get your hair really well in a short time. So I decided to ask tool for help to at least make my hair not that frizzy. Then I can meet people without being diffident.
I bought ghd - Platinum+ Professional Performance Styler finally. I knew about this iron but didn't want to spend all that money on something that you can get for so much less in a different brand. However, now that I have bought this iron I have to say so far it’s seeming like a great investment.
Ghd Platinum+ is an updated version of Ghd Platinum, which has a breakthrough in hair care technology, and the damage to the hair has been reduced from originally 50 percent to 70 percent now.
It has a great design, and has very long cord. This flat iron only has one temperature setting, and you do not need to control it by yourself since it’s all automatic! Just push the on button and it’s all done for you, automatically adjusting the heat setting based on your hair. Smart technology!
It heats up in a matter of seconds. This flat iron curls, glides, and glosses as if by magic! When using, it doesn’t pull and grab my hair, providing me a kind of enjoyment. And once I get my hair straightened, I don't have to straighten it again until I wash it.
I can use it to do a fabulous hair job without damaging my hair, and it always leaves my hair shinier and smoother than ever and no breakage! My hair is bleached but it feels a lot softer after a couple passes with the ghd in comparison to other brands leaving my hair with shriveled dry ends.
I received many compliments on how healthy my hair looks. Great experience!

High End Straighter? $500 Dyson vs $250GHD
My hair is naturally frizzy, after using this product my natural frizz is gone. I also find using a small amount of hair serum whilst straightening my hair combats all the frizz. I am always on my way looking for a perfect straightener.
ghd - Platinum+ Professional Performance Styler These are the two that I have on hand. GHD is my always top one loved one. And the Dyson is my new purchase.
Two things I found amazing about this flat iron from GHD are, first of all, the platinum plates.I thought this looks very fancy. And I did some research on it.
Basically, platinum plates promise to make your hair shinier as you style it. And they also promise to prevent breakage.I do notice that my hair is shiny when I straighten it and I do feel my hair got less heat damage even I do 2 - 3 times a week. The second thing is, tri-zone technology. According to their website, this technology means that there are three points of heat along the plates to demonstrate consistent temperature throughout the plates. With drugstore straighteners, there are normally just one.
One cool thing about this straightener is that it has sleep mode which I love about. It is safe and easy to handle when you are styling. And so many times I left home and suddenly realize that my iron is still on. This feature would turn the styler off after 30 minutes.
It is an expensive straightener, after 2 months of use I can say I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Usability is great, even for my little hands, and compared to my former hair straightener there is simply no comparison.
dyson - Corrale Hair Straightener The Dyson one is about $500. The price is insane. The reason I got it is because it is cordless. I have their dryers and I’ve always been obsessed with Dyson technology. I remembered I was scared of those hot tools when I first learn to style my hair and cannot remember how many times I burnt myself because of those cord. Honestly I am a little disappointed with this one. Technology wise it is cool. The battery is so disappointed. I charge it overnight and it only last for 25 minutes.
GHD wins since they are the experts in straighter and it doesnt damage the hair as most straigners do.

Don’t Make These Mistakes When Straightening Your Hair
Even if you have frizzy, unruly hair as I do, you can still achieve sleek, shiny hair with a few great tools and products in your arsenal. Learn from my mistakes to ensure your next ‘do is perfect! I’m giving you some of the best tips and tricks I've learned through my own hair journey.
My Hair Type
I have very dry, curly/wavy hair. I love wearing it down and straight! If I keep it curly, I usually have quite a bit of frizz, especially during the summer.
Mistakes I've Made
Straightening hair before it’s completely dry. Don’t do it! It creates split ends and broken hair. Now, I make sure my hair is bone dry before I use any heat.
Forgoing heat protectant. I used to think they were unnecessary, boy was I wrong! I have significantly less damage now that I started using one.
Passing the iron over one section too many times. This creates more heat damage than necessary. Instead, I invested in a high-quality hair straightener that gets the job done in one pass.
Tools & Products I Use To Fix My Mistakes:
1. Ghd ‘classic styler’ hair straightener - This tool is a little pricey ($200). I do love it though, it heats up in 30 seconds and I can straighten my hair in one pass.
2. Amika heat protectant - This is actually heat protecting serum, which is pretty cool. It’s $25 and protects and adds shine to my hair. Bonus, it smells awesome.
3. Oplalex No. 5 & 6 - I love Olaplex, I can’t say that enough. Numbers 5 & 6 are the hair cream ($28) and hair oil ($28). I mix the two together in my palms and rub in through my ends when I’m done straightening. (I also use their shampoo & conditioner and love them both!)

Easy Hair Hacks to Look Great on Lazy Days
For days when you need to get in and out of the bathroom in record time, there’s not always the option to perfect curl your hair or do a fancy updo. If your straightener is already hot, don’t turn it off. Use it to add subtle ways to your hair before you head out the door. This trick gives freshly straightened hair a little more body and volume.
My hair type:
I have super dry, frizzy hair. It’s naturally pretty curly but I do use heat often. I like straightening my hair but I don’t like how it looks when it lays flat. This little trick saves me a ton of time in the morning when my iron is already on.
Products I can’t live without:
My ghd hair straightener is one of the best purchases I’ve made when it comes to my hair. It’s around $200 UDS but I use it all the time. Plus, it’s ceramic which is more gentle on people with finer hair like mine.
The Living Proof Humidity Shield ($30) works wonders for me in the summer. Once I finish my hair, I spray a bit of this to my ends and help keep the frizz at bay.
How to curl your hair with a flat iron:
Step 1: Start with pre-straightened hair. If you have naturally straight stresses you can skip this step!
Step 2: Grab a 1-inch section of hair and wrap it around one side of the barrel of your flat iron.
Step 3: Twist the iron toward you while clamping - this is what makes the curl!
Step 4: Spray hairspray or a finishing spray of choice to make sure the look lasts. Bonus if you can even rock these curls tomorrow too. That’s the lazy girl’s ultimate dream!

How to get the smoothest and straightest hair
Tips: grap a section! comb out ! section! “C” shape
ghd - Silver Moon Gold Styler Set Upbeat Collection
A RPO way of actual application is to find the tooth of the comb, place the iron in right behind the fine tooth and move it through with the comb down to the end. Make sure your comb is heat resistant so you don't have to worry about it moving with your iron.
By using the comb here is to use the tooth leading the straight hair right into the mouth of the iron. This would give the best result. If you dont comb it out before iron, you are just cook the knots and tangles and bends into your hair.
Dont suggest horizontal sections, leave hair flat looking. People want smooth hair when they look for a straightener.if your iron is not giving you a smooth finish with one single pass through the section, then you'll probably need to search for a new one. You dont want spend double or tripple the prices on masques or serums for damaged hair.
When you are done with parting into sections, you are ready to iron. Grap a section, comb out your hair before. Hold that portion and go close to the scalp, pull straight down, slowly steady. When you are about to go a little close to the root area. and slide it down and got a nice finish.
Make sure you are pulling toward your face and creating“C” shape into your face and run your fingers through it finished and smooth end .Pulling and steady all the way down to the end and get a nice flat finished shinny section.
it's easier to comb your hair right away. give the hair a little movement, pull the section in the back to the side,i nstead of being stick straight. Typically I would go with a second pass, but that depend on your hair type and temperature setting.

Hair Straighteners For Afro Hair
We all know that having naturally curly Afro-Caribbean hair is a gift but getting it straight can be a really tricky task.
Afro hair is a delicate hair type, as you can see in the picture above, straight hair simple grows from a round shape which leads the hair to be a nice and strong hair, wavy hair grows from an oval shape follicle which starts to weaken the hair when growing, until finally you take a look at the way afro hair grows through which is almost half of what straight hair can grow through, which then weakens the hair growth and encourage the growth of curly frizzy hair, that's why we should be careful when choosing hair straightener for Afro hair.
