👋🏻 Goodbye chapped lips
Leave on lip masks that soothes and moisturizes for smoother, more supple lips overnight. Gentle melts away dead skin cells from the lips. These lip masks were my salvation! I always had dry lips and no matter how many balms I used, the effect was not lasting. I received a mini sample at sephora and although I did not have much hope, I started using it and loved the results. My lips are always hydrated. Definitely a must have! 🌿Price: $20⠀ ⠀ 🌿What it is: A leave-on lip mask which soothes and moisturizes.⠀ ⠀ 🌿My thoughts: I was never a fan of lip balms as they tend to overwhelm me with their stickiness. Due to that, I barely ever wear chapstick and my lips aren’t in the greatest condition. This lip mask was my second one I’ve eve tried, first one being the lip mask from Awake Beauty. Quite frankly, I’m in love. I’m not huge on citrus, but I love how juicy this lip mask is. I put it on before sleep and wake up with soft lips, it works while I zzz away! The texture is super soft and feels pillowy on your lips. The little brush the mask comes with is super helpful when applying the mask.⠀ ⠀ 🌿Would I repurchase? Hmm.. I think yes. This is one of the only products that has given me these kind of amazing results. It doesn’t irritate the skin around my lips which is a big bonus. I know it will last me a while, but I’m exited to finish it and try a new flavor. LANEIGE - Lip Sleeping Mask

As a longtime K-beauty fan, and Laneige Sleeping Mask addict, you can imagine how excited I was to try their Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer! Since moving to a dryer climate hydrating toners have become a staple in my routine and I’d heard great things about this one in particular. Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer is a 2-in-1 formula that preps and softens like a toner and moisturizes like a cream for maximum hydration benefits in one simple step. The standout ingredient in this formula is White Leaf Tea Water, the leaves of which are harvested once a year and grown in the shade, meaning more amino acids to strengthen the skin barrier, moisturize, and soothe skin. To apply I cleanse, use my standard calming or exfoliating toner, then I use this more like an essence, pouring a few drops of product into hands and pressing gently into skin until absorbed.  While I did expect it to have more of a lotion-like consistency, this is more of a milky toner that manages to be both rich in moisture and lightweight. It does have a bit of slip to it but absorbs quickly into the skin for me and although I do still need to follow with a moisturizer I find it to be soothing and relieve that dry, tight feeling very quickly. It also seems to play well with all products and layers well under makeup. For those prone to dryness, dullness, and uneven texture the Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer is a great hydration toner option and is available at Sephora in both a 5.0 oz/ 150 mL for $33.00 and a 1.6 oz/ 50 mL for $15.00. Laneige Cream Skin in my other fridge!
I love this product so much! It helps hydrate your skin without it feeling greasy or oily. This is a toner and moisturizer two steps in one! This is a lightweight type of liquid that is easy to pat onto your skin. This can be also used for the other skin types, but not aware of how it’ll look or feel on that skin type. I need to order more as you can see! LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer

My ultra-hydrating skincare routine for PM
Because of my oily skin type, for most of the time, I pay attention to cleaning and only use lightweight skincare to avoid clogged pores cause by too much moisture. I usually do my full-step skincare routine several times a week, that I will use my best-loved products which prepare me with the best skin condition. If you share the same skin type with me these products might be optimistic for you too! My skin conditions: ◇ Oily skin (especially in t-zone); ◇ Noticeable pores on forehead and nose; ◇ Rarely get pimples ◇ Not sensitive ✨L’OREAL Youth Code Skin Activating Pre-Essence Serum This serum wakes up your skin and strengthens its ability to absorb and lock moisture. Use it after your toner and in advance to hydrator, essence and cream, it doubles the result! I can feel a very subtle hurt and I guess it’s because that my skin is stimulated to absorb more. ✨AESOP In Two Minds Facial Hydrator Love this one! The In Two Minds series are formulated for oily and combined skin and is designed to help your skin recover its normal sebum production. The natural fragrance from Andiroba Seed, Copaiba Seed and Acai ingredients makes it an enjoyable experience when using it. ✨LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask Ta-Dah! The finishing touch of my ultra-hydrating skincare routine. Apply a thick layer of the sleeping mask lastly and wash it over on the next morning. This is a wonderful sleeping mask that help locks all the moisture to your skin. You will wake up with a softer and fresher face.

PM routine
Here’s one of my current PM routines. have dry skin. My main concerns are hydration, anti aging, and closed comedones with the occasional breakout philosophy - Purity Made Simple Cleanser for Face & Eyes cleanse! Cleansing is my least favorite step in my routine. But I am enjoying this cleanser because it makes removing makeup easy. I need a cleanser that removes all makeup, especially eye, without irritation of my eyes. It’s a creamy consistency which I like because it doesn’t dry or strip my skin of natural oils. It gets the job done GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner toning! I only use one toner per night but this is one product that I often rotate with a few others in my collection. I am a big fan of this toner. Made with niacinamide it works to lessen the look of pores and brighten skin. I love the consistency of this toner, it’s slightly more viscous which makes it fun to apply. My skin feels and looks smooth when I use this often. CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum Complexion Correcting I am mainly using this product just to use it up. I wish I could say that I love it but to me it’s just meh. It’s supposed to be a highly concentrated serum that combats dark spots, and boosts radiance. I haven’t noticed much difference that I can attribute to this product really. The scent is a little off to me as well, it kind of smells like leaves, dirt, and nature 😂 don’t ask me why. At 79$ it’s not something I would repurchase. FARMACY - HONEYMOON GLOW AHA Resurfacing Night Serum with Hydrating Honey + Gentle Flower Acids chemical exfoliation. I’ve been using honeymoon glow in place of TLC Framboos because I got a set around the holidays. I do like this serum quite a bit. It provides chemical exfoliation in the form of AHA/BHA gentle flowers is blend. I do notice good results when I use this. It fades fine lines and wrinkles, and loosens dead skin cells. It also has the added benefit of hyaluronic acid which helps the skin retain moisture which is something I appreciate since I have such dry skin. At 58$ it is a more affordable option to TLC Framboos and I think it’s a good place to start. However in the end I still prefer TLC Earthen eye cream. I’ve been using this cream which is said to reduce dark circles by changing the surface reflection of skin and improving hydration to combat the look of dark circles. My dark circles are generic and unfortunately no cream will change their appearance so this did not work for me. it does keep the skin nice and hydrated which is appreciated. LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask a good but simple moisturizer. I apply over everything to lock in serums and boost skins hydration overnight. Infused with a high concentration of mineral water to deliver high doses of moisture. I enjoy this one! SJÖ SKIN - Happy Honey Oil A gorgeous oil to lock it all in! ILOVE it.

Ingredient Spotlight: Cica/Centella Asiatica
Hi guys! Today I’m gonna be Spotlighting the ingredient cica or centella asiatica. The products I’ve chosen to review for you with cica are LANEIGE - Cica Sleeping Mask , Benton - Goodbye Redness Centella Mask Pack, 10 Masks, 0.81 oz (23 g) Each , and the Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Calming Mist ! What is Centella Asiatica? It’s an herb that is grown primarily in Asia, with multiple uses, including medicine and cooking. However, it’s commonly used in skincare for its healing and soothing benefits. It contains active compounds that show antioxidant benefits and soothes upset skin. Some people liken it to green tea! — Laneige Cica Sleeping Mask: this has been legit the perfect addition to my night routine. You’re apparently supposed to use it 1-2 times a week but I can’t stop myself from using it at least four times a week. It’s soft and creamy, and just a tad thicker than their water sleeping masks. It’s hydrating and neutralizes my redness like NO BIZ. I struggle with rosacea hardcore and this calms my skin down from any kind of irritation or reaction. The cica in it is clearly the powerhouse, and the cream is rich but never streaky. I wake up with refreshed and calmed skin, and no residue. It’s $34, but it has lasted me a while and I already have a backup. — Benton Centella Mask: not my favorite cica product, but it’s not bad at all! It’s $2.80/mask, which is a great price to me. This surprisingly soothes my breakouts and acne the most, and doesn’t irritate any skin. However, I think they make a serum that is this mask in serum form, and I would much rather have that! Sheet masks seem kind of wasteful and useless to me, since I could get the same benefits from a serum. This mask is good, though, and if you struggle with irritated red breakouts, this would probably help you! — Dr. Jart Cicapair Mist: I guess this is my favorite of the three! I use this at all times of the day, morning to night, after makeup, before makeup, to refresh my skin midday, you name it! It’s truly a do it all mist. This soothes and calms my skin instantly and I can see the redness fade away as it hydrates and helps my skin. It’s great to use when I have a reaction to a product, or my face is red from anxiety or rosacea! I would totally repurchase this, as it only costs $23.

Clean Beauty/skincare
Hi everyone! Here are my thoughts on clean beauty and skincare! Stay tuned for most posts with my thoughts on specific brands too! Overall, I have mixed emotions about clean beauty and skincare. Though I think it’s a great initiative to have better and more transparent ingredients in what we put on our face, but I think brands sometimes tend to use fearmongering to sell their products as a result. For example, brands that market that people can “pronounce all the ingredients in their products” seem manipulative to me because sometimes products need ingredients that sound “sketchy” to preserve the product or make it actually effective on the skin. However, certain brands are actually great at formulating products that also happen to be clean, and I will continue to support them! More thoughts coming soon!

Laneige Eye Sleeping Mask
LANEIGE - Eye Sleeping Mask What it is: a leave-on overnight eye mask What it does: hydrated and depuffs while you sleep Cost: $44 CAD for 25ml/0.8oz Texture: kind of like a lightweight serum My experience: I fell in love with this eye mask instantly. The texture is kind of like a lightweight serum and it goes on a bit watery and then becomes slightly sticky after it hits your skin. The applicator made it really easy to apply though and it was quite relaxing to roll it around and massage my eye area before bed. I always wake up with my eye area feeling more refreshed and hydrated when I massage the product in than simply using their eye gel alone. The product always nicely absorbs into my skin. I keep the mask and the applicator in the fridge like I do with my eye gel so that when you begin gently massaging the product in, you can depuff and cool your skin at the same time. 🤩 Would I recommend: yes! It’s a great depuffing and hydrating sleeping mask that helps keep your delicate eye area refreshed and moisturized while you get your beauty sleep. Would definitely recommend checking this out if your eye area needs that extra oomph of hydration and care. Is it worth it: yes, I think it’s worth it! You don’t need to use a ton of product so this lasts you a while. I also think that the applicator that it comes with to roll the product around and give yourself a little massage while you apply the mask is a really great relaxing and cooling part of your routine and that experience is definitely worth it for me! I always want to be enjoying the process and experience of using a product in order for it to be worth it and so this is definitely a repurchase in my books! 🙌🏻💓

A favorite K-Beauty Eye Mask!
LANEIGE - Eye Sleeping Mask Laneige is one of my favorite K-Beauty brands - they make so many of my favorite products (lip sleeping mask & glowy lip balms to name a couple) and the Eye Sleeping Mask quickly became a favorite as well. This product is marketed as an overnight eye mask that is meant to deeply hydrate and depuff under eyes. According to Sephora, it can be used by all skin types (even those with sensitive skin!) It is mainly targeted to help anyone who wants to hydrate their under eye area and wake up looking brightened and refreshed (thanks to the caffeine in there!) The texture is thin (slightly thicker than water) and super smooth & soft. My favorite part of this product is the applicator (see picture # 2) It is a ceramic ball applicator which helps the product glide on smoothly and also provides the perfect mechanism to gently massage your eye area. This can be used to massage your under eyes, eye lids and up to your brow bone. I keep this baby in my skincare fridge to amp up the cooling effect. It is so nice to apply and perfect way to treat yourself to a little self care before bed. I really enjoy this product and use it several times per week after I use my regular eye cream. I definitely think this is worth the time/effort to apply because whenever I use this I wake up with brighter and hydrated eyes. I also don’t hate the price ($34 for a little under an ounce) because you don’t need a ton of product to get the job done. Overall, this isn’t a cult classic and Allure Best Of Beauty winner for no reason and I would highly recommend!

Some cool toned empties
😍 = would repurchase or have already 🙃 = didn’t love it, didn’t hate it 💀 = would not repurchase 😍 Sunday Riley Juno Facial Oil- I’ve gone through about four bottles of this. It’s an antioxidant rich facial oil that’s a bit on the heavier side (I prefer to use at night). This stuff works wonders for my skin. It hydrated and balances out my combo skin and leaves me looking glowing like my skin just drank a green juice. It even helps with my acne. Favorite oil of all time. 😍 Hum Daily Cleanse- I bought these in a frenzy when I was going through a weird bout of adult acne and I was amazed. Not only did they clear up my skin but my skin is brighter and glowier than before. Have already repurchased these. 😍 Sunday Riley A+ High Dose Retinol Serum- This is my favorite OTC retinol I’ve ever used. It’s pretty strong for over the counter (.5% when converted by the skin) but I use this nightly with no irritation and it really helps with dark spots, acne, and firming. I also love that this has such a lightweight texture (I find some retinols can have sort of a thick pasty texture that I don’t love) and is balanced with soothing ingredients like CoQ10 and honey. 💀 Supergoop x Rebecca Taylor Defense Refresh Setting Refresh Setting Mist- This was kind of strongly fragrances to me and every time I used it I felt like I was inhaling the product which kind of freaked me out. It also made my hair greasy when I used it so I would not repurchase. 😍 First Aid Beauty Barriar Repair Cream- This stuff is amazing. The texture is really unique it almost foams up inside the jar but once you apply to your skin it’s lightweight and incredibly hydrating. In my opinion a great $30 dupe for the Tatcha Water Cream. 😍 Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask in Mint Chocolate Chip. I still prefer the berry one but any Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask is a win for me. Nothing makes my lips smoother and plumper than this product. I’ve been through I think 7 tubs now. 💀 Belif The True Cream Moisturizing Bomb- I know everyone loves this stuff but I just wasn’t sold. It was a little too fragranced for me and I honestly just forgot I had it for awhile. It wasn’t awful or anything but it didn’t really wow me and I would not repurchase.

Comparing lip masks!
Here I want to compare two lip masks. One higher end version and an affordable option LANEIGE - Lip Sleeping Mask Limited Edition I’m going to start higher end here. This lip mask is the limited edition mint flavor but the formula of these masks are consistent across the flavors! This product is 20$ for .7oz. This mask helps with lip dryness and fine lines. It comes in many yummy flavors! The consistently is so smooth, like butter. No gritty ness or stickiness at all. Lips feel plump and hydrated come morning. Honestly LOVE this mask I DEW CARE - Plush Party Buttery Vitamin C Lip Mask You could call this mask a “dupe” because it’s also a lip overnight treatment mask at a more affordable price of 16$. However the portion is smaller you only get .42 oz with this one. Key ingredients include cocoa butter, vitamin C and E. This mask is unscented. It’s smooth and has a nice texture but it’s still not as soft as the Laneige lip mask. The texture is slightly grittier. Also it is scentless which some people may prefer but I like flavored lip products! In the end It does work well to hydrate lips Overall both masks do their job. In the end the higher end Laneige mask is the more affordable option due to the amount you get for the price. I like the flavors that mask comes in as well. Both masks are cruelty free, paraben and phthalate free. If I had to choose a favorite I would choose the Laneige mask. Have you tried either of these? Do you have a favorite?

J-Beauty: LENAJAPON Skincare
I'm finally sharing my full review of LENAJAPON Beauty, which I discovered at the 2018 IBE show! The founder, Reiko-san, created the original moisture lotion for her daughter Lena (who was living abroad at the time) using her background in cosmetics. She also noticed that Lena's grandmother had incredible skin because she always cleansed her skin thoroughly, aka double cleansing, which we now know makes a huge difference. So she developed a bar cleanser that creates the most incredible, fluffy foam when added to water- it seriously feels like you're applying a cloud to your face. You do it on dry skin first, rinse, and then repeat. Afterwards, you apply the lotion (though the texture is more that of a thick essence) onto wet skin. Then again once the first layer has absorbed. That's it! You can apply a moisturizer afterwards if you need it (I usually do since my skin runs dry) but otherwise you're done- easily the most simple skincare routine I've ever tried. I use it about once a week or so (twice in the winter) since the rest of the time I use other treatments, but it's a great option for when my skin needs a night off (or I'm just tired). The only thing is that it isn't meant to be used as a makeup remover since it's so gentle, so I go in with micellar water before cleansing to take it off. I remember passing by their booth and being intrigued by what looked like bowls of cotton candy. I had the pleasure of meeting the mother-daughter duo and see them (literally) whip up the cleansing foam like magic. I know simple bar soap foam doesn't sound extraordinary, but I'll be demonstrating on my stories in a bit! LenaJapon - LJ MOIST BAR LenaJapon - Moist Balance Lotion Rich

Toner for sensitive skin
The first toner I have ever finished and LOVED! The Laneige Fresh Calming Toner - beautifully made. What it is: a hypoallergenic toner that fuses together nutrient-rich deep sea water and lychee peel extract to deliver soothing skin relief. Made for those who experience redness and oiliness (aka ME!) this toner is perfectly suited for all skin tones. I love this toner for my morning routine, it wakes up my skin and feels refreshing. Keeps my oily skin in check and makes my skin feel so soft. If I could recommend a toner for everyone, this one would be it. price: $27.00

K BEAUTY
LANEIGE - Water Bank Moisture Cream is a cream that feels so luxurious!! The bottle is very high quality. It feels like glass and is very heavy. I love the ombré coloring. It has a beautiful fragrance. This cream is targeted for normal to dry skin and I definitely agree. This cream would probably be too heavy for any oily skinned people! It is a thicker cream and you can feel how hydrating it is. The cream contains some special green mineral water which I guess is really hydrating 🤷🏻‍♀️. It helps to strengthen the moisture barrier for a better complexion. Laneige is the only K beauty brand that I’ve tried so far and I really like their products. This product is around the same price point as many other creams at Sephora. It is free from parabens but it is not clean at Sephora stamped. It can be used AM and PM. Highly recommend!

K-BEAUTY BEST MOISTURIZER!
I have searched for years to find a moisturizer that actually worked for my combination skin. So many moisturizers make big promises but never seem to live up to the hype. Until I found this amazing cream moisturizer. This stuff is dense and a little goes a long way which is such a plus. It soaks quick and leaves your face feeling cool and refreshed! Although they don’t really complicate their formula by claiming to include “hydrating chemicals” this really does the trick. It’s undeniably the most hydrating cream you can buy at a relatively normal price point of $38. I would recommend this to anyone who has sensitive skin who wants to lock in moisture. This really is worth it for the price and benefits you get out of it! LANEIGE - Water Bank Moisture Cream

Absolutely obsessed with all of these. If you are looking for a lip balm that’s long lasting and will keep your lips feeling smooth, I highly recommend if not all at least one of these lip balms. If you are looking for a more affordable drug store go to balm then the Soft Lips Oasis, Carmex, or Smith’s lip balms are for you. But if you want to spend a little more then I highly recommend the Drunk Elephant, Pixi, or Laneige lip balms.

My holy grail lip products
My holy grail lip products
ALGENIST - GENIUS Liquid Collagen Lip It's a vegan collagen moisturizing lip treatment that restores the lip fullness and contours for youthful-looking lips in 10 days. It still doesn't run out and I already bought a new one 😂😂. This product has positive but also negative reviews, where they say it doesn’t work 😟. In my experience it works! Unfortunately I don't take the precaution of taking a photo before I start using it ☹️. But I have one from November of last year (15 days after start using it) and one from February of this year where you can see a change 👏🏻. I've struggled for years with dry lips and this product was my salvation. I use it in the morning and at night. Apply on the lips with the tip and then using the opposite side massage the bottom of the lip from side to side. 💡 Tip: I read this in a review on sephora and it gave me excellent results. PM: after putting it on, apply a night lip mask (I use LANEIGE - Kiss Me at Midnight ). AM: after putting it on, apply a heavy lip balm like BITE - Agave Lip Mask (I have the old version, and it works very well for me). But you can use it with lipstick, gloss or a regular lip balm. In my experience the lips last longer hydrated with Bite lip mask.
