SLIP Sleep Mask
Ok so late last year, I had so many people asking me when we would be receiving our shipment of SLIP. I had a list of 30 customers waiting for it! I never even heard of SLIP or knew what it was about. Fast forward to December, we finally recieved it with our Christmas stock. We also got little ornaments that had four slip hair ties for $35 so I figured I’d splurge and try it for myself to see what the hype was all about. UNREAL. I have thick, heavy hair and most of the time my pony tails give me a headache and when I take my hair down, my hair elastic always has hair attached to it. When I tried the SLIP scrunchies, they held my hair up all day (even through workouts) never gave me a headache and I could literally pull it out of my hair with two fingers and NO STRANDS WOULD COME OFF WITH MY ELASTIC. It was so game changing, I loved them so much. So then I started looking at the masks and pillowcases (not willing to cough up the $119 for the pillowcase yet but my mom loves hers) and saw this sleep mask. I left it because I tend to get a bit claustrophobic with masks and have never successfully slept with one on. My managers ended up buying it for me for my bday (I know, so spoilt I love them so much) and I’ve had the best, deepest, uninterrupted sleep that usually I can only get if I take sleeping pills. It is so so so so so good. Well worth the $70! Another thing to mention is that my eye creams stay on my face instead of transferring to a pillow. The thing with SLIP is their stuff is 100% silk through and through. A lot of “silk pillowcases” or “silk eye masks” are silk woven with cotton or polyester and that’s why they are so much cheaper but much less effective! Splurge on SLIP, it’s worth it.

Hair accessories to have on hand
I dont know about you but I always have a scrunchie or hair tie on my wrist, literally at all times, or even a hair clip clipped onto mu bag for easy access. Lately I’ve been getting more into the big fluffy scrunchies, especially the silk ones because they’re easier on the hair and make the hair damage/break less. slip - Large Silk Hair Ties This is also true for what I like to call the accordion hair ties, the put 0 strain on the hair and hold pretty well because of the coils. I was skeptical about these at first but it has nothing to do with how tight you need the tie- the coils intertwine together and hopd really well. invisibobble - Slim Crystal Clear These have been my go-to hair ties lately because they don’t hurt my head as much as the elastic one and come on, they’re so cute. Another thing I always keep around is a hair band to push my hair back when I’m masking/washing my face. I just hate getting product in my hair or water in my hair- It ruins so easily, and again, silk is always best 🙌🏼 I found this pink silk one at a drugstore as limited edition but you can also find these from Slip slip - Silk Knot Headband and slip - Silk Twist Headband I’ve tried them and they’re great. I have straight, thin, pretty flat hair and occasionally frizzy 🙃 so dont mind that in the pictures 😅 and I love all of these despite that. And actually I find the fluffy scrunchies make my hair look bigger, more voluminous because the scrunchie itself actually adds volume, being to big itself. I use these on a daily basis and I love that my head doesnt feel heavy with their use (if you’ve used hair ties for hours on end, you’ll know exactly what I mean) and my head doesnt hurt after having them in for so pong because I dont have to wear them so tight. #cheriepartner

My curly hair accessory MUST HAVES!
Hey y’all!! I’m so excited to tell you guys about these products. I cannot live without them (not lying) but all for different reasons. My hair type is thick, HEAVY, dry, and curly so I have to take really good care of it to avoid breakage and frizz. Kitsch rhinestone bobby pins: /kit·sch/ - /kit`sch/ X Justine Marjan Rhinestone Bobby Pins these bobby pins are what I’ve been missing in my “dress-up” and/or formal attire. If you have curly hair like me, you are an avid user of Bobby pins to keep your crazy hair out of your face! Not only are these cute and LONG (like, 2.5 inches long), they’re super heavy duty and will stay in place all day without falling out of place. They’re a bit pricey (I got them on sale for 50% off, but their regular price is $34 for 12) and I often lose my Bobby pins but I love that they came with this little pouch so I’m less likely to lose them. They’re currently available at Sephora. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for fancier Bobby pins! 5/5 slip silk large scrunchies: slip - Large Silk Hair Ties I have been using these for SO LONG! I had always thought that silk scrunchies were very “frou frou” and unnecessary. However, when I started having to wear my hair up for work, and started having daily tension migraines, I was desperate to try anything to help and I found a pack of 3 large slip silk scrunchies at Marshall’s for $10. NO JOKE!! These are pricey (normally 3 for $39) but they have a ton of benefits: less pulling on your hair, helping your hairline as well as headaches; silk reduces hair breakage and pulling; and they are CUTE! These are real silk so they are not cruelty free, but I have yet to find a comparable cruelty free alternative. Additionally, if used daily, they only last elastically for about a year. Available to purchase at Sephora. 4/5 Kitsch Satin Scrunchie: /kit·sch/ - Blush Satin Scrunchies these were the first cruelty free alternative to the silk scrunchies that I’ve tried. They provide similar benefits like less breakage and not a lot of “pull” on the hair, but I still experience migraines when I use these, so I can only use them when I don’t have an oncoming headache or migraine. I’m rating them so high because they are MUCH more affordable than the slip silk scrunchies — 5 for $8. They are available for purchase in black or pink at Ulta. 4/5 Awake Vegan Silk Pillowcase: Awake - Sleep Is My Beauty Secret Vegan Pillowcase I was interested in trying a silk or silk alternative pillowcase for hair and skin benefits: silk is gentler on the hair than regular pillowcases, and is less abrasive to the skin (I get regular breakouts and irritation and wanted to see if this helped. I received this as a Christmas gift last year. The pillowcase is REALLY soft. However it’s just polyester, and it costs $40 at Ulta. I’ve noticed good results but idk if I could justify buying another one. 4/5 #CheriePartner

How to FAKE full hair when you have THIN hair!
Let’s begin with the fact that I have long wavy FINE/THIN HAIR! I was always envious of people who had to those full pony tails that you can barely grab with your hand cause there is so much hair! My pony tails are “fake full” because I tease my hair to look fuller in my pony tail look! But if you were to come behind me and try to wrap your hand around my pony, you could fit two pony tails in your ONE hand 😕. I am now comfortable with my hair type because it is not going anywhere and I just have to accept that I need to work with what I have. Thankfully, we have tons of products that work in making us thin hair people feel better about our locks! Now, for the moment you all have been waiting - my super easy trick into faking fuller thick locks when you just got some normal to thin hair! And ladies and gentlemen, the trick is super simple! It requires one step that anyone can do! ALL you need to do is sleep with a high bun using a silk ponytail scrunchie! I swear by this rule because time after time it works like a charm. This works best when you sleep with a lightly tied high bun with a skin hair tie! All those hours will lead to some major volume in the morning when you wake up! When you wake up and undo the bun you’ll see your precious locks in max level! It’s such an easy trick to do if you know you will not have much time in the morning to do your hair! It also works quick if you’re taking a cute picture and need some instant volume. For reference, the pictures are my hair in the high bun for 30 mins while I worked on my makeup! And you can clearly see the volume that is in my hair! But you can only imagine how much more volume and thicker your thin hair will have after sleeping in the high bun! 😛 Honestly, either hair all out or high pony tail will work when you are trying to make your thin hair look fuller! As you can see I usually rock the high bun trick when I am going to wear my hair down the next day for work or going out with friends! The specific hair tie I used is slip - Slip Skinnies ! They retail for $20.00 (3 hair ties) at Sephora or Slip! I like it because it’s not too tight on my hair and they do not leave a crease in my hair EVER! They are super delicate on the hair and will work on all hair types (thin/thick & long/mid length). I am sure any silk hair tie will work in case you can’t find these specific ones I recommend! I love them with all of my heart and will continue to keep buying these once my current batch no longer does the trick! If you have thin hair, please let me know what you do to deal with the thin locks! I’m curious to see what everyone else does! I’ll appreciate any tricks ☺️.

You Sleep on COTTON PILLOWCASES?!😱 (MUST READ)
You Sleep on COTTON PILLOWCASES?!😱 (MUST READ)
Girl! I recently switched from using cotton to SILK pillow cases and it has made a HUGE difference for not only my skin but my hair as well! I’ve always heard the buzz about silk pillow cases but it just never was on my list of things to buy BUT, i was in the mood to be experimental. Now once i bought the product i didn’t actually search any reviews, i just read the box to see the benefits and tried it myself. I washed it (ofc), then put it on my pillow and 💤. A couple nights of using it i honestly saw a difference in my skin, my face was so damn SOFT and this may be a lil gross but it took off some dead skin too. I do have to wash this pillow case more frequently because of the material but i would definitely say switch at least one of the pillows in your bed to silk! As far as my hair goes, i sleep with a silk scarf to protect my edges and i do suffer from dry scalp and so i really try to keep all moisture in my hair. Cotton as you know drys out the hair and i use to sleep on a cotton pillowcase with a silk scarf., since switching to a silk pillowcase i almost feel like i have double silk protection with has really help the dryness of my hair, no lie i am seeing less flakes in my hair since switching. Y’all need to try slip - Silk Pillowcase Queen White , it’s really good and my skin has really been loving it there (2nd photo of skin just waking up). Try it & let me know what you think

There are two missing but that’s because I gave my mom two, sharing is caring guys!! But these feel so smooth when I put my hair in a pony tail I never realized how much my normal scrunchie tugged at my hair until I used these silk ones! But oh my gosh feels so relaxing and good! They are a bit pricey but hey it’s silk and it’s good for your hair, it doesn’t leave my hair with any ponytail lines either when I let my hair down which I love. Honestly this was worth the $36 I believe was the price. 5/5 super cute super comfy

trying out a new nighttime rou
trying out a new nighttime routine ☁️i was looking for some sort of lip treatment to use before bed. i was expecting this product to be more of a serum, as the name suggests, but it actually feels like WATER when you apply it. i was confused at first and slightly doubtful, but as it sat on my lips, it quickly transformed into a moisturizing serum that felt extremely comfortable for both day and nighttime use! Amorepacific purposely named this the Dual Nourishing Lip Serum due to it’s unique dual-layered texture - water AND oil. i can’t stress how comfy this is to wear while also making my lips appear and feel plump and hydrated. this serum is infused with green tea seed oil and fermented green tea essence, which revitalizes and makes lips appear fuller 😙 the applicator was also designed to look like a green tea flower, which i think is so cute and also helps to apply product evenly. i also love pairing this product with some sort of balm or lipstick, hence my current favorite being shown here by YSL. i’m also loving these Erno Laszlonyc eye patches lately, and of course, my beautiful Slip Silk Pillowcase silk eye mask. Sweet dreams 💤 - MAI👼🏻

slip - Beauty Sleep To Go Leopard Print Travel Set ☁️the fact that silk has so many beneficial properties has me mind blown. Regular cotton sheets can really do damage to your skin and hair. But their silk is designed to be the complete opposite; instead of ruining your beauty during sleep, it takes care of your beauty when youre on pause 💤 ☁️what you NEED to know @slipsilkpillowcase is: ✔️breathable ✔️gentle with your hair ✔️protects your skin Cotton and polyester cannot promise you the same. My hair has been damaged plenty of times; dead ends and split ends were terrible! I am trying to be more gentle and sweet with my hair so mulberry silk is the way to go! ☁️SLEEP EYE MASK☁️ Stress has never been this harsh before. Most times i would have trouble sleeping. When i started to use this mask, i knocked out QUICK. And every morning i would be in complete shock because I wouldnt expect myself to fall into deep slumber. I have window blinds and no curtains, so i can see light peek through my windows at night and that would keep me up as well.

Hair type: Fine/Frizzy/Straight Product: slip - Small Silk Scrunchies Ever since the scrunchie trend took off, I’ve been all for it. I’ve been fortunate enough to keep some of my old childhood scrunchies (featured here) but I’m always open to adding to the collection. Lately, I’ve been grabbing Slip’s Silk Scrunchies. I bought a pack of Sephora and the muted neutral colors are absolutely beautiful. Like the claims say, I haven’t had any tugging or denting in my hair when I use it. They’re super gentle. However, I’ve noticed they stretch out pretty easily. Given the price, I expected greater longevity, but a good amount of these Slip scrunchies now just dangle on my wrist or barely hold my hair up. Overall, 4/5. If only they lasted longer, I would’ve deemed this holy grail status! 🙃
