Quick Lip Balm Roundup💫
💗 In order of favorite to didn’t like 😩 For more info/ingredients, check out my full reviews of almost all of these on my page😉💗 unpa.Cosmetics - Bubi Bubi Lip Ampoule $9 🇰🇷 My absolute favorite! Super hydrating & moisturizing with 3 forms of hyaluronic acid & Ceramides. Soft buttery rose scent🌹I can’t recommend this enough. The price tag isn’t even that bad considering you get twice as much product as a typical chapstick style tube lip balm. sun bum - Signature SPF 30 Sunscreen Lip Balm $5 🇺🇸 My current go-to lip balm with sunscreen (Zinc/mineral) So moisturizing & nourishing for an SPF lip balm! Almond oil, Jojoba seed oil & Shea butter are the first 3 ingredients, & Argan oil comes in 6th. Barely there almond scent. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask $22 🇰🇷 Scent: Gummy Bear I love this indulgent balm even during the day. Not always in the mood for the grape candy scent though🐻🍇 LANEIGE - Lip Glowy Balm $17 🇰🇷 Scent: Gummy Bear A superb lipgloss-effect lip balm. Very moisturizing but not sticky. Scent isn’t as strong as the sleeping mask. UZ - 38°C/99°F LIP TREATMENT $25 🇯🇵 Shade: ±0 A very thick fragrance free repair balm with prebiotic properties. It’s currently the best selling lip treatment in Japan, but I didn’t feel it was new holy grail. clé de peau BEAUTÉ - UV Protective Lip Treatment Broad Spectrum SPF 30 $65 🇯🇵 A very overpriced chemical sunscreen lip balm that didn’t offer any lasting hydration, but rather made my lips dry & cracked. ChapStick - Moisturizer Original $1-$3 🇺🇸 I used this for years as my SPF lip balm, but it never really “worked” & I would apply it constantly! I stopped using products with petroleum/petroleum derivatives. I find that lip balms with Petrolatum (Vaseline) as the first ingredient/main emollient (moisturizer) just don’t work for me. Rosebud Perfume Co. - Rosebud Salve in a Tube $7 🇺🇸 🥀This is another Petrolatum lip balm that somehow makes its way into “Clean Beauty” at Sephora, but I feel this lip balm is too thin & slippery, & it just doesn’t offer any lasting moisture at all! My lips crave more when I apply this, making it a mess. Being the lip balm addict I am, I had to purchase this from the boutique I was working at last year one day during a shift when I forgot my chapstick. It was the only lip balm we sold😩 💗PLEASE DROP YOUR FAVORITE LIP BALM IN THE COMMENTS, I MUST KNOOOOOO !!!! ( or share one u hate so we can avoid it & save our $ lol)

8 Top Rated Products for an Easy Everyday Look
After my AM skincare routine, I like to put on a quick and light look before heading to work or starting my day. Due to my combination and comedone prone skin, I try to pick out products compatible with my skin concerns. HOURGLASS - Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15 This is the best make up base you could ask for. It’s safe to use for all skin types but incredibly helpful to oily skin and combination skin types. I’ll be sticking to this poreless face primer forever. Non-comedogenic 💯 Skin feels so smooth after Easy glide feel before it sets and SPF 15 🥰 KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - True Portrait Medium Coverage Shake Foundation The perfect coverage foundation that’s not too thick. It makes me look ultra smooth and makes my pores look less visible. Shake well before use Feels like second skin 💖 and is also non-comedogenic Like using a photo filter in real life but on your face Note: this foundation is recommended to be used without a primer but I do it anyway. KVD VEGAN BEAUTY - Lock-It Concealer Crème This concealer is loaded with pigment for full coverage! I love Kat Von D products. Creamy and thick but not sticky Full coverage that lasts all day Blends well and doesn’t crease shu uemura - Hard Formula in Stone Gray 05 I love more muted looks when it comes to eyebrow pencils. Not too big brow energy and very natural Buy in store and they will shape it like a samurai sword (yes, a samurai sword! No joke check the pictures.) Lasts all day as long as you don’t rub it off. HUDA BEAUTY - Haze Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette I love HUDA Beauty even if its expensive. All their products seem of high quality and they’re all long wear. Highly pigmented Mix 2 matte shades on the eyes Glitter for that glimmer corner eye effect ✨ stila - Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner This is a holy grail liquid eyeliner. I’ve been rebuying this for the past 3 years already. Midnight Black vibes 🌚 Long lasting pretty much all day unless sweaty 🥵 Micro tip option for more precise lines Rosebud Perfume Co. - Rosebud Salve in a Tube I’m addicted to this lip balm! I also use Rosebud Perfume Co. - Smith's Minted Rose Lip Balm Tin but during the COVID-19 pandemic it’s hard to keep dipping your fingers in a pot. Lovely subtle rose scent 🌹 Glossy and light pink finish Soft and moisturizing for lips 👄 Have a look of your own or know of any other non-comedogenic make up? Leave your suggestions below! 😍

Best lip balm ever!!!
In the winter, my lips are constantly dry. My usual chapstick just doesn’t seem to cut it! But these balms keep my skin hydrated and happy. They have no tint, but the product lends a little bit of sheen to the lips, which I like. The scent is also great- Rosebud Perfume Co. - Rosebud Salve Lip Balm has a subtle rose smell, while Rosebud Perfume Co. - Smith's Minted Rose Lip Balm Tin has a minty note on top of the rose. I will say that I prefer the second formula, because the mint gives a slight tingle to the lips that I really enjoy. Also, the consistency of the minted version is softer and feels more hydrating on the lips to me. And of course, the packaging is just too cute!! One tin lasts a long time and only costs 7ish dollars, which I think is totally worth it. For those who don’t like using their fingers for hygienic reasons, both products also come in a tube version. Overall, I would highly recommend both of these lip balms!

🔎Petroleum products in skincare
I figured I would give these slides I made their own post since so many people seemed to find it helpful. ⚠️DISCLAIMER: I’m not a skincare expert. This information is based on my own internet research. It’s easy to find conflicting information about almost any topic or Ingredient, so don’t freak out if you use some of these ingredients. I grew up using all things Vaseline & cheap drugstore products in the house... I think I first had reservations about Vaseline when trying to use it as a lip balm replacement. It didn’t offer anything beyond the illusion of hydration at first, leaving me craving a reapplication. When I learned about what it actually does I understood why. In 2020 there are so many petroleum product free products available at affordable prices, but it’s important to note that these ingredients are still prevalent in so many drugstore skincare products & even in highend products like La Mer crème. Aside from Vaseline brand, it’s uncommon to find information regarding the refinement process of petroleum products in the US, making it harder to know what’s safe... These ingredients are still so prevalent despite the concerns simply due to their very cheap manufacturing costs. They’re also in shampoos, conditioners & body lotions. The use of these ingredients skincare products has been banned in Europe if the full refinement history is not disclosed. Why people use Vaseline: There are 2 different types of moisturizers. Products like essences & serums hydrate the skin without the waxes & emollients that make creams & lotions thick, so they don't clog pores or feel greasy or heavy. This first type adds moisture to the skin & the other stops or “blocks” the natural moisture that your skin produces from being lost to the atmosphere. Due to the large molecule size of Vaseline, it coats of the outer layer of your skin to prevent water loss, but cannot be truly absorbed. (See my last 2 posts to discover an interesting moisturizing product that actually has the same molecular size as our skin particles!) So in theory, Vaseline is used as a skin protectant. Vaseline brand petroleum jelly is purified & refined to a level that the FDA considers non-carcinogenic. Personally I would steer clear of it for lip balm because there are so many other options to hydrate without the consumption risk. 👄I added a slide of a few popular lips balms w/ petrolatum is the 1st ingredient. It’s also important to think about the cleanliness of your Vaseline container. Considering it will trap any bacteria on your skin or wounds under it, what bacteria may already exist in the container? I know for me growing up, the family Vaseline jar in the bathroom was pretty gross. A lot of people still swear by this stuff, just look up “Tyra Vaseline frenzy” on YouTube... but if you have sensitive or acne prone skin, I personally don’t recommend it. Try something like pure vitamin E oil in a dropper to minimize bacteria. It will nourish dry lips & dry skin patches!

Products for Peeling, Achy Lips
Last month, I got a mild allergic reaction on my lips. They were peeling for days, and the skin around my mouth was very dry. Some lipsticks irritated them even more, sending it into an ugly cycle. Finally, I was able to heal my lips with hydrocortisone. But I didn't want to give up makeup or balm as it healed. So here, I'm highlighting a few products that treated my lips well when they were almost done healing. 🌊 Becca Liptuitive Glow Gloss: A very liquidy, HYPER glossy formula. It changes to a warm pink on your lips, and has moisturizing avocado & jojoba seed oils. Jojoba oil is a humectant, meaning it creates a seal around your skin that prevents it from losing moisture. Perfect for soft lips. 🌿 Smith's Menthol and Eucalyptus Balm: Made by the same company that makes rosebud salve. This one is just as moist and comfortable, but with soothing mint. I put it on in the day for a healthy looking gloss. 🌰 Butter London Sheer Wisdom Lush Lip Oil in Rich Nutmeg: One of my favorite daily products for soft lips. It feels like a thin oil, but stays on with even opacity. Even after most of it comes off, it leaves a healthy glow behind. 🧁 Glossier Balm Dot Com: A rich, emollient balm that keeps your lips moisture-locked over night. I would 100% purchase it again. I got it in the shade Birthday, which is sheer with added glitter. I do recommend getting it without glitter, though, just because it stayed stuck around my mouth by the morning. Out of all these products, the last two are my favorite. If your skin is in a situation that needs a little extra love, these might be the answer to have both moisture and beauty.

this is literally my favorite lip product! it's super cheap and comes in a fairly large container. a little goes a long way. i am usually not a rose person because it irritates my face, but i have no problems with this. it gives your lips a rosy glossy shine. five out of five!

Absolutely obsessed with all of these. If you are looking for a lip balm that’s long lasting and will keep your lips feeling smooth, I highly recommend if not all at least one of these lip balms. If you are looking for a more affordable drug store go to balm then the Soft Lips Oasis, Carmex, or Smith’s lip balms are for you. But if you want to spend a little more then I highly recommend the Drunk Elephant, Pixi, or Laneige lip balms.

One of my all time favorite lip products! The rose scent and taste is amazing. I never get tired of it. I tend to use this more before bed just because it has a very thick and greasy consistency. I like to apply it heavy so that it can soak in overnight. This is awesome to use during the day as well because it gives you a glossy look. Absolutely recommend this product! This is my favorite product for my lips! And it has so many other uses too! I use it to give my lips some moisture and an extra shine. Not sticky like lip gloss and so beautiful. I will be restocking it as soon as I run out! Smith's Rosebud Salve Tube is a convenient way to help heal chaffed skin and lips, cuticles, and ashey elbows, knees and heels. A dab or two on razor and curling iron burns may aid in soothing and healing. Cruelty and gluten free! It comes in different scents and also is available in a small tin can.
