Coming back with some fun content!
Hey Cherie gang! 🍒 I (think) I’m finally feeling ready to come back with some worthy content to share. It’s been much too long but my mind just hasn’t been where it needs to be to share. 😣 BUT the good thing is....this means I have loads of reviews coming your way because over the last 5-6 months I’ve sampled and used a wide range of products. 🤩 This coming week I’ll be sharing with you my “—NO FAIL ROUTINE—“ This will be the products that never fail me, that time and time again I keep coming back to, both AM & PM. I’ll be sharing my go to vitamin C, retinol, hyaluronic acid, Niacinamide acid, AHA, BHA, oils, exfoliators, masks, as well as cleansers and moisturizers. Hopefully I cover it all. And if I miss something, let me know. Keep in mind my skin is normal to dry/mature. I also have fine lines and acne scars. Hope you’ll join me 🤓 Much ❤️ my @cheriefamily 🍒

Hyped products I didn’t love 💔
Today I wanted to quickly review some products that have been super hyped up over the years. Unfortunately, these products just didn’t work for me. I won’t go into detail like I usually do in reviews, but quick summaries. So, if you have any questions, please let me know! Up first is the BOBBI BROWN - Vitamin Enriched Eye Base . This product is supposed to nourish, hydrate and smooth the under eye area as well as prime it for concealer. This product did feel hydrating, but it made my concealer crease horribly no matter how little I applied. I gave it time to soak in and tried it will several concealers with no luck. I do think this is a nourishing eye cream, it just doesn’t pair well with makeup which is it’s intended purpose. Next, we have the wet n wild - Photo Focus Dewy Foundation . This might be a shocker since this is literally a cult favorite, but it just didn’t do it for me. It’s not the worst, especially in terms of coverage, but I didn’t really like the finish of it. It didn’t fuse with my skin; it just kind of sat on top. Plus, it wasn’t that glowy on my dry skin. I think my main issue is that I couldn’t find a good color match. As I said, this isn’t the worst and I’ll probably try to use it up by mixing it with another foundation. It didn’t live up to the hype though. Moving on, we have the ARMANI beauty - Luminous Silk Foundation . This ones hard for me because I’ve wanted to try this foundation for so long and has such high hopes. Unfortunately, I thought this was awful. For some reason, this applies very patchy on me and emphasized texture regardless of what products I used underneath. The coverage wasn’t great either. I have foundations a fraction of the cost of this one that are superior. I’ll use up the sample and see if I can find a combination that makes this look okay, but for now, it’s a hard pass. Lastly, is the ISLE OF PARADISE - Self-Tanning Water . This burned by skin SO BAD. Every single time I used this, my skin turned bright red, was itchy and was irritated immediately. As you can see, I gave this tanning water several tries, but I always had the same reaction. It’s a shame because this did tan my face nicely. People love this stuff and I really wish it worked for me. I might try using it on my body, just so I’m not wasteful. Hopefully I don’t have the same results! There ya have it: hyped products that didn’t work for me unfortunately 😩 Did you love any of these?
REAL LOOKING Fake Tan for Fair Skin!
These products saved me from being either ghostly pale, or orange. I use the ISLE OF PARADISE - Self Tanning Drops mixed in with my face moisturizer - and it gives me a natural glow! Medium is the best shade (surprisingly light isn’t my favorite shade because it isn’t as olive or natural looking) for my fair skin. The ISLE OF PARADISE - Self-Tanning Water is the EASIEST self tan for the body that I have ever used. I exfoliate my skin in the shower and spray it on directly to dry skin afterwards. Always wash your hands after using these products so that your palms don’t look too crazy! I make sure that I am very moisturized from head to toes days in advance before using tanning products. Preparation is key!
These are some of my current self tanning favs. the isleofparadise products are scentless (only time I can “smell myself” is the morning after I’ve slept with the tanner on & sweated throughout the night) whereas the sttropeztan has a tropical scent to mask the “tan” scent (the scent is a little on the strong side but I think it smells good). All 3 are super easy to apply but I still always use a tanning mitt to make sure I get even application, and I love the color that all 3 provide 👌🏻
Hope you take some time to pamper yourselves today. Here is my morning routine. Tonight I’m going to kick back and take a nice warm bath with OUAI - Chill Pills and work on my self-tan. ————————- Products used in the following order: Milk MAKEUP - Vegan Milk Cleanser INDIE LEE - CoQ-10 Toner 3 sprays Medik8 - HYDR8 B5 Liquid Rehydration Serum 4 drops PUREGEN - E.G.F Invivo Repair Serum 4-5 drops YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superfood Firm and Brighten Vitamin C Serum 2 squirts CAUDALIE - Vinoperfect Radiance Serum The Brightening Solution 4 drops TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream Medik8 - Eye-lift Peptides TATCHA - The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment so far I am not liking this. It seems oily and hard to blend into my eye area. Using a very small dot. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Oat & Hemp Seed Dry Oil 5-6 drops ISLE OF PARADISE - Own Your Glow Kit 5-6 drops mixed in with my moisturizer TRULY - Unicorn Fruit Whipped Body Polish Jo Malone - Seaside Crush Duo And my Degree Deodorant —————- See my page for reviews on several of the products. I will be sharing reviews soon on the ones not done. Also, no sunscreen today as I am still staying inside a dark room due to an ongoing migraine. Otherwise I would put my sunscreen on last and probably mix my sun drops into them. I will be sure to share a am/pm MINIMAL routine soon as well. Much love 🍒 #CherieCreator
Time to get very very real about one of my favourite beauty products - self tanner. Guys I don’t know what it is, but I instantly feel 30 times hotter with a tan, idk I think it’s science??? 😂 The Isle of Paradise has truly won my heart. Not only do their products work, but they’re also so much more affordable than 90% of the self tanners I have tried. The product comes in 3 formulations: a foaming tanner, tanning water, and tanning drops. You can also select your shade from light, medium, or dark! I use dark because your girl is pale AF. If I had to choose just one my absolute fav is the tanning water! It changed the tanning game for me. It literally sinks into your skin after about 20 mins and you don’t feel that gross sticky feeling that I usually get after using a foaming tanner. And here’s the best part - NO TRANSFER!! That’s right, it won’t turn your white bedsheets orange 😂 if that doesn’t sell you idk what will! I use the foam if I’m looking for a darker application, because I feel like it gets me a tiny bit darker. Besides that I almost always gravitate towards the water! The spray just makes it so convenient. The tanning drops are the most flawless creation that has ever been put on planet earth. Let me tell you, I have tried face tanner after face tanner and none of them get my face as dark as my body. None of them. But my problems have been solved with this guy! I mix 2-3 drops in with my moisturizer and my face literally glows like I just finished tanning on Bondi beach for 3 days straight. Which I would never do because I don’t want wrinkles. So the only logical answer is IOP 🙌🏻My glowing goddess dreams = answered.
Sephora Summer Favorites Set- Worth It? 🌺
I recently purchased the Sephora Summer Favorites Set during the 2020 VIB sale. And I’m so sad to say that it is not sold anymore 😭. It was such a great price for how many different products you get to try out. I have found many products that I will forever love through this set. Anyways, here are my some of my favorites from the set! - Fresh Sugar Caramel Lip Balm - Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops - Supergoop Play Everyday Lotion SPF - Sol de Janeiro Bum Bum Cream fresh - Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm-Blood Orange SOL de Janeiro - Biggie Biggie Bum Bum Cream Supergoop! - Play Everyday Lotion SPF 30 with Sunflower Extract ISLE OF PARADISE - Self Tanning Drops
SOL de Janeiro-Biggie Biggie Bum Bum Cream
I get to keep my summer glow with the isle of paradise Self-Tanning Water. This product never turns out streaky or blotchy and is so easy to use. I’ve also been using the Self-Tanning Drops. I mix 3-4 drops into my moisturizer every few days. You can add more drops for a deeper tan, but I prefer just a subtle glow. I’ll definitely be repurchasing both of these when I run out.
ISLE OF PARADISE-Self-Tanning Water
Mixed these drops with my water cream by Tatcha. Stay tuned! I used 7 drops . In about 5ml of cream , only applied a bit to my face . It is kindof an oil so I do feel a bit oily. TATCHA - The Water Cream ISLE OF PARADISE - Self Tanning Drops so far so good. (Sorry about my previous post I had no clue what I was doing lol)
ISLE OF PARADISE-Self Tanning Drops
My pasty face looks at the Isle of Paradise Self-Tanning Drops like my face looks at the pizza delivery dude Formulated with HyperViolet complex to reduce orange tones, I add Self-Tanning Drops to my nightly moisturiser for a natural, streak-free glow. These colour-correcting drops effortlessly keep skin looking glowy all year round. Plus they’re cruelty free and vegan friendly ✌🏼🐰
ISLE OF PARADISE-Self Tanning Drops
So, my legs aren’t wet or oily at all, but the sun is hitting my shin.So this is just my recipe for an amazing, deep glow. I got the the isle of paradise in dark. I used one coat of the Self-Tanning Drops, did a light exfoliation the next day with my neom scrub pictured in the post before & rubbed in a light layer of luna bronze Randiant after my exfoliation. Pretty sure these aren’t meant to be used in conjunction with each other, but we do need to find out what works best for us. Both of these products are vegan , cruelty free , & organic. They both smell gorgeous, but nothing like fake tan. In fact luna bronze is made with Mandarin, Lemon Myrtle and Orange Blossom. I don’t always self tan, but I do like to in the summer, or if I’m wearing shorts. I find it hides scars, lumps & bumps😬
ISLE OF PARADISE-Self-Tanning Water
✨glossier Lash Slick seriously impressed me during the heat wave. Not only did it stand up to the 95+ degree Boston heat & humidity, but it stayed put through hours of pool time. ✨ My face is always lighter than my body in the summer, so I’ve been keeping the isleofparadise Self Tanning Drops on rotation. I mix 3-4 drops with my moisturizer and end up with the most perfect, bronze glow. ✨ Picked up a new bottle of ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil, which is the perfect multi-use summer oil. It’s lightweight, smells amazing and makes my summer skin glisten.
