Favourite high end lipglosses
PATRICK TA - Major Glow Lip Shine Starting off strong we have the Lip Shine by Patrick Ta. These babies don’t get enough hype! They are ultra hydrating, but make the lips look so juicy and add a wonderful sparkle. Pictures here is the shade “she’s expensive” but you can’t go wrong with any of these! FENTY BEAUTY - Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer The Fenty Beauty Lip Luminizers are a staple in anyone’s kit. These are super hydrating, and even give just a touch of colour to make the lips look alive. Pictured here is the shade “Fenty Glow” but again, this line has 6 shades and any are wonderful. .INC. - Roller Baby Lip Gloss I got this one in a set of nail polishes, because why not? I was pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this! It’s nothing more than a clear lip gloss, but the applicator is really cool. It’s like a roller ball perfume bottle but with gloss. It’s a great product! NARS - NARS Oil-Infused Lip Tint Going out with a bang, this is my favourite lip oil of all time. It’s so hydrating, and the colour isn’t as intense at it seems. I have this is 4 different shades and I love them all. Pictured is the shade “High Security” but I have Orgasm, Laguna, and Primal Instinct, and they are all wonderful.

Like it’s 1996 🦋✨👄
Nothing screams 90s makeup to me like frosted shadow and roller ball lip gloss ✨ Now I was only a bebe during the 90s being born in ‘93, but I do have memories of my younger aunts, that would often babysit for my mom and her lewks 🙌 one of them was more into grungey makeup, think brown lips, matte skin and thin but natural brows and my younger aunt was def more into glossy lips and pastel hued shimmery shadows. I spent all morning looking at old Delia*s catalogs and came across this catalog from 1996 and there it was, what I consider the epitome of 90s girly makeup! A soft lilac frosty shadow, barely there peachy blush and glossy lips 😌 I gathered inspiration from it to create the look you see here, using the products I’ve listed below: 🦋 DIOR - Forever Skin Glow Foundation & DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer I decided to go in with both foundation and concealer, I usually only use concealer but I felt since 90s makeup wasn’t big on highlighter or even dewy skin was a thing like it is now, so it get right. 🦋 wet n wild - Mega Length Mascara fave mascara, you already know 🙌 🦋 Glossier. - Wowder Weightless Finishing Powder I’m trying to use up this powder, and I like it because it doesn’t leave me looking cakey. 🦋 essence - Satin Touch Blush essence makes some of my favorite blushes! These are a true satin finish that looks so pretty on the skin. 🦋 Glossier. - Lidstar Glistening Eye Glow Idk why, but I kinda remember having something similar to lidstar when I was young. I like that these are easy to slap on and go. And the subtle wash of color with the shimmer is so pretty to me. 🦋 .INC. - Roller Baby Lip Gloss now i very specifically remember my aunts using roller ball lip glosses throughout all of my childhood! These are so nostalgic to me, i remember them lending their precious cherry scented lip gloss to me when I was little and it was amazing 😌 ah non-traumatic childhood memories, we love those. And that’s that! What is a trend you remember from the 90s? Or that you wore during the 90s? 🍒 #CherieCreator #CheriePartner

Nail strengthener hual💅Best in Byrdie but smelly🤢
I am a big fan of acrylic nails. But the bad thing is my nails became weak and brittle. It is very uncomfortable and I feel guilty about my nails. However, I found something really good for my nails: nail strengtheners. I did a lot of research and then I bought many different kinds of nail strengtheners. Why nail strengtheners? I like biting nails so I use acrylic nails or gel nails to "protect" them. BUT I was totally wrong! Both nail biting and using acrylic nails can damage the nails. And a good strengthener is full of strengthening ingredients to save brittle and damaged nails. Ingredients are different from product to product. I've also read some magazines about having supplements for nail growth, but it takes time. So I chose nail strengtheners to help my brittle and flimsy nails. My favs I tried several kinds of nail strengtheners and these are my favs. I usually apply it like a nail varnish or a cuticle oil. After that I always apply hand cream to keep it hydrated. Try to avoid washing hands as this can dry out the nails and cuticles, and it can cause splitting. OPI Natural Nail Strengthener This was the first one I tried. Before using it my nails were splitting and breaking and had very little growth. With use, my nails are no longer splitting and are growing nicely. The smell is not weird. I will definitely recommend it to my friends. Nails Inc NailKale Superfood Base Coat This one contains kale extract and other antioxidant-rich botanical extracts. It can be used as a base coat. It gets my nails back to health.  Duri Rejuvacote 1 I bought it because many reviews and magazines have said good things about it. Generally, it did a good job. It gets my nails harder and stronger. But I don't like the strong smell, it is a little bit offensive. It is the "Best Overall" in Byrdie but it's so smelly!🤢

These Products SAVED My Nails
Oooof my nails were in rough shape for most of spring and summer. Constantly painting my nails had caused my nails to weaken, peel, and some discoloration. For pretty much all of 2020 (until a week ago) the nail on my index finger would split in the same exact spot. At the beginning of August I decided to stop painting my nails and focus on recovery. I purchased a set from Nails Inc from Sephora for $25. It contained a gel effect polish (that I wore for my wedding day and immediately removed), nail file, superfood oil, 45-second top coat, and nail treatment/base coat. I’m going to talk about 2 items from that set that saved my nails. They’re available for purchase on their own, but as of right now the set is still in stock and is an excellent bang for your buck because everything is full size. *update 9/29 - oil no longer available on its own at Sephora. Is available on brand’s website. The 4-piece set referenced above is available at Sephora still for $25 .INC. - Nails.Inc Mani Must Haves The .INC. - Superfood Nail and Cuticle Repair Oil feels so nice. It has a very light scent (can’t pinpoint it) and contains a lot of nourishing oils, including castor, argan, sweet almond, and soybean. I dab a tiny amount using the dropper on my cuticles and rub all over my nails for about 2-3 minutes a few times per week (usually 5ish days - more is better but I forget 🤷🏻‍♀️). It soaks in within a few minutes. $15 The .INC. - Back to Life Recovery Treatment & Base Coat is a great treatment because it contains nourishing oils, vitamins, and minerals. What I especially like is that it has a subtle pinky-nude tint which gives my nails an instant healthier-looking appearance. The directions say to apply 1-2 coats a few times per week. I find that when I do 2 coats I dislike the peeling after a few days, and it’s less noticeable with 1 coat. I like it as a base coat so far, though I’ve only painted my nails 2x since mid-September. I apply 1 coat every 4-5 days. Easy to apply and no scent. $15 I’ve noticed with the combo of these 2, my nails are peeling less and are growing a bit longer without breaking as frequently. They also feel stronger, and are visibly less stained than they were at the beginning of August. My right index finger nail didn’t split this week and I’m shook!! I like Nails Inc products a lot. They’re cruelty-free, and have vegan and halal items - oh and non-toxic!! They are available on the brand’s website and Sephora.com. I personally think their sets ($15+) are the best bang for your buck because most polishes on their own are $10-15 each. They have a lot of cool colors and finishes available. I especially love the polish brushes. They make it easy to apply. Been using this brand for years and will continue to! #CheriePartner

PSL-inspired Mani + Pedi Tutorial
Though deemed “basic”, I truly love anything pumpkin - the color, scent, foods, decor, you name it. Of courseeee to kick off fall I wanted my first fall mani to be inspired by pumpkin. To be honest, this is the first time I’ve painted my nails (aside from my wedding day) since early August. My nails were in rough shape due to constantly painting them, so I took some much needed time off. I also don’t have the steadiest hands, so keep in mind that your mani could look much cleaner than mine! This mani is a PSL- inspired (pumpkin spice latte) French tips with solid colored pedi. The star polish of these nail looks is DECO MIAMI - PSL Nail Lacquer “PSL” (how aptly named). This polish isn’t the best quality-wise. It typically chips within two days, but it’s too gorgeous not to use. It has a cream finish. I got it in a set I purchased a few years ago, but it is available for $12 on the Deco website if you’re interested. Do you have a fave burn orange shade? Leave it below! What You’ll Need: -a burnt orange nail polish -white nail polish (though pale cream would look great, too!) -base coat -top coat -paper reinforcements -tweezers (optional) Mani Steps: 1. Apply your base coat to clean, polish-free nails. 2. Apply at least 2 coats of your burnt orange polish so that your nails are coated opaquely. Let your polish dry for a minimum of 2 hours. Longer is better. You could even do this step the night before. 3. Using tweezers or your fingers (I like tweezers), remove one of the paper reinforcements from its sheet. Lay it on top of your nail so that a small, slightly rounded section is left at the top (the tip). Press down firmly with your free hand so that it sticks (this is why your nails must be super dry or your base polish may come off). 4. Apply an opaque layer of white polish to the tip of the nail. It’s okay if the polish touches the reinforcement. As long as you pressed down, you should get a fairly clean edge. 5. Slowly + carefully remove the paper reinforcement with your other hand or tweezers (I use tweezers) immediately after applying the white tip. 6. Repeat with all other nails on this hand. 7. If any of your edges aren’t as clean as you’d like, you can go back with your burnt orange polish and clean them up with a tiny bit of polish. Let completely dry before applying top coat. 8. Repeat on next hand. Pedi Steps: Repeat steps 1-2 and apply top coat once dry. I personally find it easier to completely finish 1 hand before doing my next hand, but if you’re a mani pro, feel free to breeze through these steps. Also, if you have steadier hands, try free-handing your tips instead of using paper reinforcements. Products I Used: Deco Miami “PSL”, SINFULCOLOR - SINFULCOLOR Professional Nail Polish “Snow Me White”, .INC. - Back to Life Recovery Treatment & Base Coat , Nails Inc 45 second top coat (still testing so no rating) #CheriePartner

Inc.redible You Glow Girl Iridescent Jelly
.INC. - You Glow Girl Iridescent Jelly I bought this because I saw them use it as an eyeshadow on their Instagram page. This does work as an eyeshadow but now I usually use it as a highlighter when I want a little extra on my cheeks. I got the shade Cosmic Blur, which is an ultra violet jelly highlight. This is a thin formula and is absolutely buildable. If you put it on the eyes, you definitely need to wait for it to dry all the way before adding more. For the cheeks it doesn’t really matter. I apply with my fingers, not a beauty blender or a brush. I don’t reach for it all the time, but really love the look when I do.

I really wanted to talk about some of these things 🙂 - supergoop acai fusion lip balm: I had a $10 Sephora gift card so I decided I’d try it out (big fan of Supergoop as you all know!). I haven’t used it yet but I’m looking forward to it after having such positive experiences with everything else of theirs that I’ve tried. The Everyday Sunscreen for example 😉 - staywellkept screen cleansing towelettes: Omg I cant get enough of these. I have a pack by my bed, in like 2 of my bags and on my vanity. I use these for everything from wiping down my laptop and phone screen to wiping my glasses and even for wiping down products before I photograph them. They don’t leave any type of streaks and get all the dirt and germs off. - incredible iridescent jelly & loose pigment: I was nervous to use these at first because I’ve never really used something so liquidy and on the other hand, never used a loose powder. I’m still experimenting with these but they’re multi-use and I can’t deny how gorgeous they are. - youthtothepeople dream mask: still testing this out but every time I wake up after using this my skin is never dull! I use it like twice a week. Liking how creamy and kind of fluffy it is, goes on really nicely ❤️ - aquishair turban in tangerine sunrise: OK I won’t go so in depth about this hair turban because I literally talk about it every week... lol but this color is so nice 😍 - drbarbarasturm brightening serum: I just started testing this out, so far no complaints! I love how smooth it feels. The texture is similar to the Glow Drops.

Inc.redible Bounce Blush
.INC. - For the First Time Bounce Blush Sooooooo this isn’t what I ordered. I bought the Freck Cheek Slime in the same order as this, so I bought the color My First Love, which is a dusty cool pink, but I recieved Be My First Kiss, which is a burnt apricot. This is pretty much the same color as the Freck, which is disappointing to me, however the blush itself is a really unique formula. It’s like a silicone whipped sort of texture and the color blends out seamlessly. I don’t know if it has any silicone in it because I was really excited for this and threw out the packaging. This is a nice little sunburnt sort of color and I’ll probably save this for when I’m back working on cruise ships after this corona mess is over with. It’s small and easy to travel with as well which is a huge plus given my line of work.

Cute lil’ blush pots 💗
I love the whipped formula of the INC.redible Bounce Blush! It’s a bit tricky at first because they set quick on the skin so you need to work them fast and I’ve found it best to apply a little at a time so it doesn’t apply blotchy but once you get he hang of it you’ll love it! I have two out of three shades, .INC. - For the First Time Bounce Blush is my favorite out of the two I own! It’s a burnt peachy color with a slight iridescent shimmer that looks so pretty on the skin! It makes you look alive and healthy. My first love is a deep rose/mauvey shade that I feel would look better on a deeper skin tone than mine but I still love it; the formula on these is great, the pot is so small and cute perfect for traveling and they add a nice amount of color and last pretty well on the skin, oh and they’re priced very well! Definitely recommend 🙌🏼

My Cuticle Care Picks + Tips
Admittedly I haven’t taken care of my cuticles much over the last few years. They weren’t “bad” but I know I should’ve given them some TLC more often. Cuticle care is vital to overall nail health. The cuticle treatment I was previously using is from DECO MIAMI - Lemon Blossom Cuticle Oil It has a strong lemon scent and feels so greasy on my fingers. I can’t pick up my phone or type on my computer without leaving grease spots behind - yuck! I didn’t use it consistently enough to know if it worked because I didn’t like the effects, so I can’t speak to effectiveness. It’s easy to apply but tbh I don’t recommend it. I’m going to de-clutter it. $12 on brand’s website. I recently did a Cherie post about 2 Nails Inc. products that saved my nails. One of them is the .INC. - Superfood Nail and Cuticle Repair Oil I like this oil because it sinks in quickly & doesn’t leave my hands feeling greasy/like I can’t touch anything for a while. I consistently use this 5+ days per week and it really has helped my nails and cuticles to look & feel stronger. The dropper makes it easy to control the product. I’ve noticed that I get hangnails less frequently. Hangnails are the result of torn skin near your cuticles. They can be painful, and if picked at, can lead to infection. Tip: when I do get a hangnail, I carefully clip it as close to its base with a nail clipper. I much prefer the Nails Inc oil to the Deco Miami! I included a before & after of applying this product. See how my fingers don’t look greasy? $15 on brand’s website. Tip: Other considerations to keep in mind for cuticle care are using gentle hand soaps & hand lotion. If your hands are constantly dry, your cuticles are likely dry, too. When your cuticles are dry they are prone to tearing/damage. Cuticles serve as the barrier between your skin, nails, and new nail growth. When cuticles are damaged, your nails are more susceptible to damage. In that same vain, try to avoid cutting your cuticles so as not to cause damage. Since we’re in the midst of a pandemic, not using hand sanitizer isn’t really an option, so opt for ones with moisturizing formulas to reduce the drying effects. At work we have some from Hempz, which I like, but don’t personally own (hence no photo). Moisturize your hands whenever you can! I sometimes use a drop or two of cocokind - Watermelon Hemp Oil in some unscented lotion to give an extra boost to my hands (oil was PR from brand). Hemp oil is very nourishing without being too heavy. $14 on brand’s website. All brands mentioned are cruelty-free and have vegan options. Nails Inc & Deco Miami are non-toxic nail brands with mid-range prices ($10-15/polish/treatment. The Cocokind oil is great, but you can also use any nourishing oil you have at home, like marula or jojoba, to add into hand lotion for an extra boost! #CheriePartner

Tinted lip balm
Inc.redible Cosmetics Jelly Shot hydrating lip balm This tinted lip balm is formulated to hydrate chapped lips while making you fell and look lux. The balm itself is thick (almost Vaseline like) but in a good way. It’s formulated with avocado oil for long-lasting hydration. Just be careful not to leave it in a hot car or it will melt!!! The packaging itself is SO CUTE. There are little flowers in the base of the balm and the formula itself is mostly sheer with a tiny tint. Perfect for travel or as prep for any other lip product. I took away one star because it really doesn’t leave any color on your lips. More than anything it hydrates them to bring out your natural color. I’m truly obsessed. I need all of them all the time. Def recommend.

My skincare awards: eye creams
Dark circles have been a part of my life since university and I always look for creams that help me reduce them. 🥇sesderma - C-VIT Eye Contour Cream $36 As I said before, this is one of the eye creams that has given me the best results. I tried it thanks to some samples that my dermatologist gave me. It is a lightweight cream that absorbs quickly, smells like orange. Helps decrease the dark circles, reduce wrinkles and hydrate. It can be used day and night. Currently I don't use it because it expired and I have others that I was waiting to try, but I used it for about a year. I will definitely buy it again and recommend it, I could say this is my favorite. 🥈 .INC. - De-Puffing Under Eye Jade Roller $15 A de-puffing under eye formula with antioxidants with jade rollerball applicator. Helps protect from blue light damage by improving the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. Its main ingredient: snow mushroom. I love the jade applicator, it refreshes the eye area. It has worked well for me so far. Smells good and its texture is liquid and absorbs quickly without leaving it sticky. I keep mine in the fridge. I would highly recommend it for those who have puffiness since the massage with the jade rollerball helps to drain. 🥉CeraVe - Eye Repair Cream $13.99 Contains 3 essential ceramides to repair and strengthen the protective barrier of the skin. It is ideal for dark circles and puffiness. It can be used AM and PM. It has no aroma. Its main ingredients are ceramides, hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. Its texture is creamy. I have been using it for a week and so far I have liked it. Leaves the eye area hydrated, absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave a greasy feeling. It is the cheapest of the three. This time the three are very good options and it will depend on how you feel each one of them so you can choose the one you like the most. Until now I would definitely continue to buy Sesderma - C VIT and I will continue to test the Cera-Ve because I have seen many positive reviews here in the Cherie app.

💫INC.REDIBLE cosmetics review 💫
INC.REDIBLE is a 100% vegan and paraben free with their products. They also tend to have a very 90s aesthetic which is super cute. These are the products I’ve tried from them .INC. - Baddie Rollin' It Back Rainbow Rollerball Lip Gloss My fave roller gloss, high shine with little sticky ness. Really cute packaging 12$ .INC. - De-Puffing Under Eye Jade Roller I don’t have very puffy eyes in the morning, just a little. The roller works for me! Love that the roller ball is jade and the product itself isn’t heavy or oily. I apply this and my cold mask and after about 10 minutes all my puffiness is gone! I would buy again! .INC. - Just Kinda Bliss Hemp Undereye Mask Best under eye patches I’ve ever bought 😍 they stick on easy and stay, they don’t leave behind a thick gunk, feels refreshing and they’re a good size so they really cover a large section under the eye! Would recommend and would buy again!!! .INC. - Crystal Ball Roller Gloss Cute, sticky af. Wouldn’t buy again. Still very cute and very glossy and shiny. I do find it dries out my lips a bit.

Cuticle oil and energizers for Fall and Winter
I am not a huge nails person, but I like to take care of natural nails just to keep them healthy and tidy. These are some of my nails picks for today's post. Two of them are good for everyone, especially for someone who uses dash nails or gets their nails done. These will make sure your nails and cuticles are soft, nourished. Also these make your nails strong which helps in growing them long. For coming drop in temperature, I experience tremendous dryness and dehydration of my nails and hands. These are perfect to keep them nourished, moisturized and protected. I experienced my nails don't break that often anymore with these. The first one is this beautiful Cuticle revitalizing oil by @cuccionaturals. cuccio - Naturalé Milk & Honey Cuticle Revitalizing Oil It's really amazing. It's a lightweight oil that softens cuticles, makes your nails look clean and it dissipates easily without leaving any greasiness behind. It has honey which softens and hydrates cuticles before manicure while Lactic acid gently exfoliates. This also helps in making nails grow. I truly enjoy this. The scent is a bit overwhelming but I don't mind it because it's on my nails. The best part about it is it's packaging. It looks so cute with it's large bubble shape and the amount we get is huge. It will last me forever and it's only 6.19$ on Amazon. 😍 Another one is this interesting bottle I got few months back. It's @prettywoman Nailmedic Revitalizer - Nails and cuticle energizer.PRETTY WOMAN - NailMedic Rejuvenator Nail & Cuticle Energizer It is a blend of water base and alcohol which has a distinct color and because they don't mix together the bottle looks duo-tone. I found that so pretty and it smells like a good spa. It's not oil so doesn't feel greasy and dries out in a second. It nourishes cuticles and nails while making them easy to clean and repair in manicure. The rest of the products are some if favourite nail polishes. Let me know what are your favorite nail products!! ❤️ ella+mila - 3-Pack Stuck in London Set .INC. - Sending Nudes Nail Polish Collection lauren b. BEAUTY - Edie Parker X lauren B. .INC. - Roller Baby Lip Gloss I got this “shade” Choose Your Happy, which is a subtle lavender. I say “shade” because there’s literally no pigment or scent at all. That’s not a bad thing, but don’t expect any tint or scent from these glosses. This is a very subtle gloss, it doesn’t put a lot in your lips but gives it that just moisturized sort of look. The metal roller applicator is also addicting to put on. I sit for a while just rolling this gloss on my lips. It never deposits too much! A really nice unique gloss and one of my faves.

This color can be worn as a lighter wash of glitter for a casual look with a little pop or as a a buildable smoky glittery eye color. I have Daily Drams which is a chrome silver with rose gold shimmer. I’ve worn it both ways and I’ve put it on with a brush and just fingers. The texture when you first buy it is a little squishy and it will get a little harder over time but it doesn’t affect the pigmentation or wear at all, just how the product is. I do wear a primer underneath so it doesn’t crease. Overall great product and I’d love to try the blue shade and the copper shade.
