SLAY at home ✨💄🏠
The way I slay at home is with a bold, exaggerated cut crease with a neon ombre and custom false lashes. I have included a list of ALL the products featured in this makeup look, however, I will be focusing more on the eyes, and how I achieve this look. Firstly, priming the eye before shadow application is great. For this, I use the Revolution Conceal & Define full coverage foundation in F11 to create a lighter base for my whole eye. After I have seat that, I begin with the B Perfect Cosmetics Carnival III palette using the color Reef first to create the overall shape of where I want my crease. When I’m comfortable with that, I go in and deepen the crease with a smaller brush blending both Lagoon and The Deep. One thing that I truly love most about this palette is the SATURATION of the colors, as a dark-complected individual, I find it nice knowing that I don’t have to use a lot of product to achieve a bold and impactful eyeshadow application. Once I have achieved that, I go in with a clean flat brush and apply the Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer in Whiteout to Prime the lid, and create a clean crease. I like this product a lot because it is REALLY white, and dries very fast with a nice matte finish. Once that is dry I layer in a bit more of Reef, and Lagoon, blending them outward. I then add the Give Face Cosmetics poly pigment in neon green blending outward away from the inner corner of the eye to create a nice ombre. I then further define the crease by taking my Nyx Epic Ink liquid liner in black and trace the outward line of my cut crease to make it even sharper. Starting above the center of the iris and working out. I then take the Nyx Epic Ink liquid liner in white, and trace the outer corner of the crease starting at the inner corner of the eye, and pulling it back until it meets the black liner. I finished that with a sharp black winged liner using the Nyx Cosmetics Epic ink liner in black, apply my YSL mascara in black, and then top it off with custom-built lashes. Jackie Aina Teaches Us about Mask-Proof Makeup
Wearing a mask is an easy thing you can do every day to be a more responsible member of your community. however, a mask can do a number on your makeup, especially if you are wearing one for several hours a day. To give your makeup the best chance, try some of these tips from YouTube beauty guru Jackie Aina. Not only does Jackie have arguably the best personality on the platform, but she knows a thing or two about long-wearing, matte makeup. In her recent video, she shows us how to do makeup that outlasts a mask, so we can be responsible and snatched. 1️⃣ Use a primer before your complexion routine. This improves texture, longevity and overall look. 2️⃣ Tap a light layer of translucent powder over your primed face BEFORE using complexion products. It may seem strange, but Jackie swears by this technique and says it makes her foundation last way longer. 3️⃣ Forego dewy products for matte products where possible. Matte foundations have a longer wear time whilst dewy products tend to slip around more. 4️⃣ Use a high coverage long-wearing concealer under your eyes, and set this well with loose powder. Most masks settle close to the undereyes, so setting this area will reduce the negative effects of friction from your mask. 5️⃣ Use a little bit more of your complexion products than usual. If your mask is going to rub off a bit of your makeup, you want to make sure you’ve laid down a complete base, so that your face isn’t ‘naked’ after a couple of hours. 6️⃣ Jackie pumps some foundation onto the back of her hand, picks some up with a brush and sprays some Ben Nye “Final Seal” onto the brush. Final Seal is used to seal in a smudge- and water-resistant makeup look, like a setting spray. Mixing it into your foundation will incorporate the sweat-resistant properties into the application. 7️⃣ Remember to set along your chin area, perhaps more so than usual, as this area will take a beating from a mask as well. 8️⃣ You can make your eyes pop with a strong mascara application or a set of false lashes, to draw attention to your eyes and keep you looking glamorous while wearing a mask. 9️⃣ As above, stick to matte, powder formulas for blush and highlighter as these are less likely to slip around and can be sealed in with a setting spray. 🔟 Swap your lipgloss for a lipstick or lip stain - you don’t want to leave sticky globs of gloss on the inside of your mask and risk getting some on your matte and snatched complexion work. Added tip: lip liner increases the longevity of just about any lip product! *️⃣ Douse yourself in setting spray and fan yourself dry to seal your makeup in and give it the best chance at surviving your busy day! If you prefer a dewy makeup look, try incorporating your dew here at the end with a dewy-finish or slightly shimmery setting spray. That way, you get to achieve some shine without compromising your makeup

Makeup Routine for Enlarged Pores & Scaring
Addressing my skin concerns with my makeup is simple with the right products. I have combination skin so my pores are larger in my T-zone, but I also have dryness around my nose. Typically, I aim to address the appearance of my pores when doing my makeup. I always will use the correct foundation to cover up my hyperpigmentation and redness. When doing my makeup, I like to start with a primer to set base for the next product. This helps with a smooth transition for the foundation. I use Touch in Sol No Porblem primer if I am looking to smooth out my skin and texture. This primer is amazing at minimizing the appearance of my pores and fine lines. I apply a small amount to my fingers and focus most of the product in my t-zone. You will instantly see a difference, it is almost like a filter on your face. I will warn oily skin types this primer contains silicone which can be clogging for your pores, so I would recommend sticking to a water based primer such as the Milk Makeup Hydrogrip primer which is Silicone and oil free. When applying foundation, to solve my redness concern I will use a full coverage foundation such as Huda Beauty Faux Filter foundation. You only need one pump for your whole face. It will cover your redness and scaring with a little amount. I will use a beauty blender to apply so it's evenly dispersed. This foundation leaves your skin with a natural beautiful finish. This foundation also lasts all day long leaving your skin flawless and smooth for hours. Sometimes my redness will peak through with certain foundations but with this one it does not. If you have dry skin, look for a hydrating primer or foundation with ingredients such as Hyaluronic acid or vitamin E. Vitamin E is also great for scars and uneven tones. For sensitive skin types look for ingredients in your products such as aloe or green tea extract. I love the combination of these two products together to target my larger pores and scars. They layer on top of each other so well and help me achieve the flawless base I look for, while helping with my skincare goals.

LAKERS 💜💛💜💛
Sharing my Lakers eye look in honor of the 2020 Champions!!!! The Lakers winning this year meant so much more to me due to Lebron and his efforts to draw attention to racial injustice in Black and Brown communities, and especially winning the year Kobe passed. Kobe was my idol as a female basketball player, him passing was one of the hardest parts of 2020 for me, and now I get to celebrate the Lakers winning the championship!!!! Excited to say the least! 💜💛 HUDA BEAUTY - Haze Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette

New New PRODUCTS! 🛍💄
It’s been a whileeee since i’ve stepped into a sephora store, I went really to pick up some brush cleaner lol but ended up getting two other things. I also got some new blushes as well but that was from the drugstore ( you know i ❤️ CVS ) Recently Huda Beauty came out with the HUDA BEAUTY - Haze Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette9 pan palettes. I don’t have anything from Huda Beauty and this palette caught my attention, at this point i’m looking for palettes that are different from what i have already, I have warm toned smokey color myself to oblivion at this point so i’m ready to step out the box and try different colors. This palette has greens and browns and nice chromatic shift shimmer colors. The 9 Pan Palettes have mixed reviews, looking on the Sephora website it’s only has 3.9 stars so I’m interested to try this palette. I feel like i’m the LAST person to try the FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation ( color 420) I originally went for the FENTY BEAUTY - Pro Filt'r Hydrating Longwear Foundationbut they didn’t have my shade 🥺 so I went with the OG instead, which worked out in the ends because the girls are oily/combo and the OG is better for oily skin. I’m excited to try it and will come back to let y’all know my thoughts. On to my drugstore pick ups, I picked up TWO new blushes, blushes are literally my favorite now it makes the face complete, it pulls the contour and highlight together in a way I just can’t explain! I want a bright orange blush, ive seen a lot of dark skin girls wearing it and it looks beautiful on them and blends so beautifully with their contour, so I picked up COVERGIRL - Trublend so Flushed High Pigment Blush( color Hot Frenzy) it’s my first time using a product like this so drugstore was the way to go in case i didn’t like it. It is a high pigment blush so I know already a little goes a long way 😉. I also got the wet n wild - Color Icon Blush ( color Pinch me Pink) I like colors like this because they show up a little darker on me and I like that, swatching the color on my hand it does show up a little chalky 🥴 and has a goldfish shimmer which could work for my skin tone but we will see. Last but certainly not least I picked up the e.l.f. - Liquid Glitter Eyeshadow, ( color 24k gold) I believe this came out for the summer collection ( i picked this up at Target) It’s a really pretty yellow gold and swatched nicely, it’s a thinner consistency which I personally liked and feels like it will be comfortable to wear based on the swatch I did. Will you or did you guys try any of the products? Let me know!!

How to Blend Dry Shadows into Cream Shadows Tip
I recently went back into playing with cream shadows that set to a matte finish. Today will go over a tip that helped me get that perfect blend when I was dealing with different textures of eyeshadows! This is great for those of you who struggled to blend a powder shadow into a liquid shadow. In this eye look, I used HUDA BEAUTY - Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadows HUDA BEAUTY - The New Nude Eyeshadow Palette After priming the eye and using the matte liquid shadow, I spread it across the lid and then allow it to set. Secret Sauce Tip: Next, BEFORE going in with your next eyeshadow of choice, SET the liquid shadow lightly with a translucent powder or another colored powder eyeshadow of choice if you’re trying to “mix” the two colors in order to create a new one. Liquid eyeshadows can still be tacky even after they dry down. By placing a powder on top of it, you’re able to blend in other powder products without them “catching” or “skipping” in certain areas, which cause the eyeshadow to look patchy. This will also help the liquid shadow become extra “budge-proof” 😄 Translucent powders won’t shift or change the color of the eyeshadow. This is the one I use: BECCA - Hydra-Mist Set & Refresh Powder It’s tailored to dry skin and doesn’t suck the moisture out of your skin, so I find that it is delicate enough for the tops of the eyelids without your eyes looking crusty like the Sahara Desert. Don’t worry if you don’t have this though! Any setting powder should do! After setting you can proceed with the rest of your eyeshadow colors! Now there shouldn’t be any skipping or patchiness in your eyeshadow! Hope this has helped you! Happy Blending ❤️

Get rid of dry patches instantly -Peeling gels
Do you get large or small dry flakey patches because of either colder weather or retinoids or acne treatments? I do get these dry flakey patches all the time with my retinoid use and sometimes when the air gets dry around me. But that isn't the main concern for me, these dry patches come in my way of getting a good flawless foundation routine. When I have an event or meeting to attend and if I have these dry patches it's hard for me to moisturize them and keep them moisturized and look good under my makeup. There was only one solution to such dry fkakey skin, that is Exfoliation!! I figured the quick exfoliating masks and solutions (chemical exfoliation) work but they did not get rid of those dry patches completely. So I tried these peeling gels before my morning shower and vola!! They instantly removed my dry patches and made my skin super soft and smooth for a flawless makeup application!! 😍❤️ I love using these both, @wishful Yo Glow enzyme scrub HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub @saturdayskin Rub-A-Dub Refining peel gel SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel ✨ These both are refining physical exfoliators that work by creating white balled up action and pills when you rub it gently on your skin. They generally have chemical exfoliants as well like Papaya and pineapple enzymes as well as physical exfoliators. The lightweight, milky texture gently buffs away dead skin cells and impurities for immediate results that also makes the perfect canvas for seamless makeup application. You start off with a watery gel like this, which you spread over your face then you see the product balling up on your face creating this weird peeled skin texture. ✨But have you Wondered what is it exactly?? Is it your skin falling off or peeling that way? Is it just the product that's balling up and not exfoliate skin well? or is it just a gimmick?? The Answer is: peeling gels are actually a very gentle physical scrub – the scrubbing bits are the soft, bunched up fibres, which are usually made of bunched up acrylates/C10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer* (sometimes listed as “carbomer” in the ingredients list). Some gels also contain a lot of cellulose, which adds to the bunching effect (this is usually in the opaque ones) ☑️😍Conclusion: Peeling gels aren’t chemical exfoliants – they’re gentle physical exfoliants (scrubs). The fibres form from ingredients that are in the gel to begin with, balling up from the rubbing motion with some help from oils on your skin. There will be a small amount of dead skin in there too. I am a fan of Peeling gels, they definitely help me a lot with instant exfoliation without being crazy abrasive on my skin. This is the evidence I like physical exfoliants as much as I love chemical ones. 😊❤️ Have you used Peeling gels? Do you like them? Share your thoughts ❤️

Exfoliation 101 - Let's burst some myths!
Let's get to know about exfoliants more! No matter if you're a skincare junkie, expert or just a beginner, skin exfoliation can be very tricky and confusing and most of the mainstream skin advices can be minimally backed by science and geared towards selling the product or giving you false information. That's how skincare myths are formed. I'm talking about some pretty known myths about Exfoliation : ✨Like, Physical exfoliants/scrubs are bad for your skin and they cause micro-tears that lead to infection or they're worse than Chemical exfoliants: Physical exfoliants that contain irregular granular sizes and shapes are definitely going to irritate your skin. But if you're a well-experienced skincare person or someone who knows how to handle gentle, small granular exfoliants well like professionals, in such hands it can be a very effective. Take Micro-dermabrasion or Dermaplaning for instance. If you haven't done it before it's likely to cause you some irritation, I wouldn't say damage as it's a truly strong and deep term to use. Our skin can naturally heal itself to a large degree, that self-healing capability can be overstressed with exogenous (outside/physical) factors and sometimes Indogenous (inner) factors such as your ethnicity, genetics and some skin conditions like dermititis, rosacea or psoriasis. So, my point here is, the myth that only physical exfoliators cause any damage to our skin is incorrect. On top of that, physical exfoliants cause micro-tears is a far stretched myth that doesn't have enough scientific evidence to support. The thing about it is anything harsh on our skin is going to cause inflammation and redness but chemical exfoliants can cause the same if done too much. For our skin to break or tear and get a cut there needs to be a lot of pressure and sharpness to the object. The scrubs don't necessarily tear/cut our skin unless you're rubbing it too harsh or with a lot of pressure and over-doing it. Chemical exfoliators can overstress and irritate our skin at the same degree as well, if overdone. Damage is a strong word for any skincare regimen that is backed by science. It's a fairly vast topic to discuss here but here's the crux of the topic that I'm trying to highlight. Not over-exfoliating is the only key to keep our skin healthy and non-irritated. Be it physical or chemical exfoliants. We need some of the dead skin cells on our Stratum Corneum. Meaning, we should let our Stratum Corneum have a layer of some dead skin cells along with it's biome. The diverse yet integrated functions of the SC collectively serve to detect, protect, respond, and/or adapt against several exogenous factors. Now, why I like or majority of people like chemical exfoliants is because they seem to be hustle free, you apply a thin layer and leave it overnight or for few minutes and it thins down our Stratum Corneum that is the deal skin cells on our skin as well as penetrates deeper in skin and decongests it. But for many people chemical exfoliants can be quite intimidating and if they like to do manual Exfoliation it's totally fine as long as they're not putting a lot of pressure and overdoing it. ✔️👍 I like both physical and chemical exfoliation. I use these chemical facial peeling solutions or masks as well as gentle scrubs to take care of my dead skin. These are some of the exfoliators I use. These are all types of exfoliators, Physical - Scrubs, Peeling gels Chemical - Facial AHA, BHA masks, solutions, in shower facials These are the ones I don't find so attractive for the price: Scrubs: 1. @avantskincare Gentle Rose beautifying facial exfoliant 114$avant - Gentle Rose Beautifying Face Exfoliant The ones I like: Scrubs: 1. @skinandco Face gommage 26$SKIN&CO - Truffle Therapy Gommage Peeling gels: 1. @wishfulskin Yo Glow enzyme scurb 39$HUDA BEAUTY - Yo Glow Facial Enzyme Scrub 2. @saturdayskin Rub-a-dub Refining peel gel 28$SATURDAY SKIN - Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel Instant Facial masks/solutions: 1. @theordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 7.20$The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution 2. @olehenriksen PHAT Glow Facial™ Mask 50$OLE HENRIKSEN - PHAT Glow Facial Mask 3. @aveeno POSITIVELY RADIANT® 60 Second In-Shower Facial Aveeno - Positively Radiant 60 Second In-Shower Facial Cleanser

How To Perfect Your Cut Crease! Tips/Techniques
There was one day that I thought I could actually try out a cut crease but had no idea if it would fit my eyeshape. Then....THIS HAPPENED ❤️❤️😍 ...well actually happened again! (Second time doing it) Since both times were successful, I’ll give you guys some tips, tools, and techniques that would be optimal to use to get the cleanest cut crease! 1. Tools Brushes: The idea is to have a brush that isn’t super stiff and super flimsy. I use 2 types of brushes from morphe: MORPHE - M505 Tapered Blender Brush MORPHE - M506 Tapered Mini Blender Brush The m505 was used to apply the base color and the m506 was used to apply the darker shadow. 2. Technique The key thing to starting is to FIND THE BONE OF YOUR EYE. I know that sounds weird but it helps create that roundness for the eye on the cut crease. This is where you’ll focus the colors, especially the darker shades. When it comes to layering on the concealer/foundation for the cut crease, I use the SIGMA - E54 Medium Sweeper Brush to STAMP THE CONCEALER/FOUNDATION FIRST and then blend in later to decrease the likelihood for mistakes. Don’t grab too much concealer or foundation either. You don’t want to make stamping difficult/messy for you. When you stamp, follow the your eye bone once more. It helps give you an idea/outline of where to put the concealer. Set the concealer/foundation with a translucent powder to prevent shifting. This also helps layer on any other colors you want in the cut crease. I put a peachy white color plus a shimmer to bring it out as a highlight after using HUDA BEAUTY - Matte & Metal Melted Double Ended Liquid Eyeshadows in shade Faux Fur. Then you take you brush handle and line it up against the lower lid at an angle so you can see where you will put the eyeliner and if there’s any need for extension. The main thing with everything is to take it easy and slow. You will be going back and forth with correcting the shape. That’s normal and don’t beat yourself up for it! Finishing both eyes took me one to two hours the first time. You’ll get faster at it the more you practice! Happy practicing! ❤️

TAKE ME TO THE CLUB🍸💄
Here’s how I do my eye makeup for my weekly visit to the clubs! 🍷 I’m using the HUDA BEAUTY - Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette and HUDA BEAUTY - Mercury Retrograde Brush Set - by far my most used palette 😍 Step 1: Apply sticky tape on the sides of your eyes following the direction of your lower lash line. Step 2: Apply a base color to your whole lid. I used the shade ‘Crash’. Step 3: Take a slightly darker color from the palette and work from the outer eye to the inner eye, applying it across your crease. I used the shade ‘Hot Mess’. Step 4: SHINE! Apply a glitter to the lower lid of your eye. I’m using the shade ‘Gold Glitch’ Step 5: Liner time! Apply a thin winged eyeliner using the sticky tape as a guide to help you. This is definitely a must have product...winged liner is so in at the moment 🥰. I use the essence - 24ever Ink Liner - it’s so easy to use and so pigmented! I highly recommend this one as it’s super affordable and works seamlessly. Step 6: Mascara! 😍 Step 7: Remove the tape very gently and apply a bit of foundation in the spot the tape was covering. And we’re done! Ready for a night on the town🍹 Paula x

MERMAID inspired makeup!🧜🏼‍♀️🌊🐚
hello everyone! today i am sharing a more wearable mermaid inspired makeup look!🧜🏼‍♀️ theres a big trend online to do mermaid inspired makeup, and although they look amazing, it would be a little weird to wear them out. this makeup i created is very intense, but its still wearable!😌 the point of the trend is to use purples, greens, and blues to emulate a mermaid. a lot people do scales on their face, but i would like this to be more wearable😊 so, heres how i got this look! dont forget to follow and cheer for more! i started with my e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer as normal. then, i applied my Juvia's PLACE - I am Magic Velvety Matte Foundation in alexandria. this foundation is great for people like me who have very pale/very dark skin and oily skin!☺️ i used my e.l.f. - 16HR Camo Concealer under the eyes as normal, and set with my e.l.f. - Perfect Finish HD Powder as normal. i dusted my COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Blush in “whole nine yards” as usual, just to add some color to my face. then comes the fun part-the eyes! 👁 i used my PLOUISE - Base Shade - Rumour in “1” as an eyeshadow base. without eyeshadow base, your eyeshadow will crease and not look as bright! i then started my eye shadow with a light lilac shade from colourpop called “heiress” above my crease. i deeped it with a darker purple called “try me”. both of these are COLOURPOP - Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadow !😃 i then used one of my all time favorite palettes, and an essential to this look- COLOURPOP - Blue Moon Shadow Palette 🌙. this palette is SOO pigmented and beautiful! i used the shade intense blue “fine china” on my outer corner, and put “tide pool” on my outer corner to add shimmer. i used “lumi” as a highlighter on my cheek and brow bone. lumi is the most beautiful, iridescent eyeshadow i have EVER used!😍 i used the mint blue shade “haze” from the HUDA BEAUTY - Mercury Retrograde Eyeshadow Palette on my lower lash line, and COLOURPOP - Crème Gel Liner in “ice breaker” in my water line. the most essential part to this look in my opinion was the COLOURPOP - Colourpop Glitter Gel in “disco lady”! this glitter is a stunning, reflective “pastel rainbow” glitter! it looks a bit like scales and added so much to this look! i put it on my lid and in my inner corner. i finished off with my all time favorite L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Original Mascara and then added a pop to my lips using MILANI - Ludicrous Lip Gloss in “beaming light” to add an amazing blue shine to my lips! u can see it alot better in person🙂 and viola! im casually a mermaid😎 lemme know what you think of this look and if you would wear it!💖 #CheriePartner
