If you love skincare tools and devices...
Skincare tools and devices is something I've seen many people rave about and love! I dipped my toes in that trend too... I loved these skincare tools and devices so much, mostly because if felt they're like a luxury and who doesn't like to have a fancy, shiny tool they see people using and raving about? But is skincare tools and devices helpful for your skin concerns? Do they add any benefits in your routine? Most of these tools are just an additional step and luxury in your skincare regimen. Some devices and tools are helpful for some specific skin issues like Silicone Cleansing devices for Acne and congested pores or deep cleaning. But if you ask any dermologist or skincare expert they will tell you how you can cleanse your skin just with your hands and you don't need any tools for that. I like using PMD cleanser for some reasons, first is I really like to deep cleanse my Acne prone skin and second is it's silicone, vibrates and heats up giving me a nice spa feel when using. But it's totally an extra step in my routine. I wouldn't swear by these silicone cleansers changing my skin dramatically. I know what made it change are the skincare that I put on my skin and let it work for hours. Talking about Gua Sha and Jade rollers, it is fairly a recent trend in western beauty community where everyone felt the need to have a jade roller or Gua Sha in their home. I can press on telling they're great if you love massaging your face in the morning or every week or you want something to grip onto while working your hands in massage steps. But they're necessarily not any benefitial in skin improvement. Gua Sha particularly is an ancient tool in Chinese wellness and therapy where they sculpt your face and release tension in your limphatic drainage with those gracefully carved heavy stones. But for that technique and to really get the results you need to learn authentic Gua Sha techniques and if you use it religiously it will sculpt your face and tighten skin. But are they a necessity? Ofcourse not. Devices with Red light or Blue light emission are another thing where you need to have an expertise or atleast expensive devices with specific wavelength of Infra red light. I have this tool with Red light and they claim to reduce fine lines and wrinkles but I haven't experienced any change at home. If I really want to have red light therapy I would prefer going to a dermatologist and get done in settings. Similarly, Dermarollers are of more risk than benefit when done at home. I wouldn't say they don't work when done at home because I have done it, and yes they definitely help. But if you do it frequently and without really knowing how much your scars need, it will eventually disrupt your skin barrier. Leading skin being dry, sensitive and flakey and in worse cases contact dermititis. If you really want to learn how to dermaroll your face at home you can watch Dr. Davin Lim's (Board Certified Dermologist) 'How to perform skin needling' video on YouTube. https://youtu.be/o3r-DkgcJ3w Conclusively, I don't hate skincare tools and devices but I don't find them necessary too. If you like using any of these I'll list them down below! I have enjoyed using them in past but I don't really reach for them these days. Skincare tools is a thing where you definitely need to know what your skin really needs and what it can handle. If you find them giving you therapeutic experiences, go for it ❤️pmd - Clean Smart Facial Cleansing Device OSEA - Gua Sha Sculptor revive LIGHT THERAPY - Glō Portable Anti-Aging Light Therapy Device COSMEDIX - Facial Massage Roller LOLYSENTA - Derma Roller LUXE + WILLOW - Refresh - Opal Facial Massage Roller

*UPDATED* PM skin routine 🌚
This is my pm skin routine, updated. This is my part 2 to my last post of my updated AM routine! 🌊HOLI FROG - Superior Omega Nutritive Gel Wash my boyfriend got me this for my bday, and I’ve used it 2 times so far. The consistency is perfect for what I wanted, I felt like I needed this for my stubborn hormonal acne. It also is unscented. So far, I like it a lot! ☕️ YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner when I exfoliate, this is my go to. I have a review on this in a previous post, where I go into more detail. 🍃NATURIUM - Niacinamide Serum 12% Plus Zinc 2% this is what I got instead of another TO niacinamide serum. I like this one a lot better, and I think it’s simply because it is formulated better. It doesn’t foam up like TO does, and it’s also unscented. It’s consistency and packaging is also better. The results are what’s expected from a niacinamide serum, and price wasn’t too bad for this serum either. 🍁The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG see my am routine post for details on this product. 🧬GOOD MOLECULES - Hyaluronic Acid Serum I like this serum because it’s cheaper like the ordinary, and it doesn’t foam up like TO did, but it still foams a little bit. It’s good enough for me, and isn’t scented. 🐘 DRUNK ELEPHANT - Protini Polypeptide Cream this is my night moisturizer, and I love this because it’s thick and hydrating. It feels nice on the skin, doesn’t have any scent, and makes my skin feel plump. It is expensive though, but DE always is. pmd - Clean Smart Facial Cleansing Device I got this in my subscription box, and I’ve been using it at night to wash my face. It has 4 vibration settings, I use the first and second one for washing my face. I do think that it helps with exfoliation, and using the other side of the tool is made for massaging in serums. I found that it does take a lot of extra time when using it for serums. I like this tool, it’s nice, but not necessary. More of a luxury item.

Jade roller vs PMD
These are anti-aging tools that improve the elasticity of the skin and help the absorption of serums or creams. HERBIVORE - Jade De-Puffing Face Roller Facial roller is relaxing and de-stressing. Helps to firm the skin through gentle massage and helps drain through the lymphatic system. They are naturally cold stones that help calms swelling and redness in seconds. Use: you can apply some oil or serum or use it alone, make upward movements. Pros: easy to use, durable, easy to clean. Cons: costs vary depending on the brand, it is porous (it must be cleaned with alcohol or boiled), it requires continuos use. pmd - Clean Pro In addition to being a cleaning brush that has SonicGlow Technology operates at a perfect frequency to lift, firm and tone problem areas. Use: after applying serum or moisturizer turn on the device in mode 3 or 4 to massage the product. Pros: waterproof, antibacterial, soft bristles, easy to use, lightweight. Cons: expensive, it would be better if it was rechargeable instead of using batteries. Jade roller is more relaxing for me, however I use both, depending on my mood or what time it is, if it is late I use jade roller, if I have more time I use PMD. Both are good tools and will depend a lot on the preferences of each person, since one emits vibrations and the other doesn’t.

Turned 40, Got Serious About Skincare
Ok Soooooooo I turned 40 and decided that really investing in my skincare os a form of self care. I spent some intense $$$ and didn’t see any results so I decided to be a bit more methodical. First pic is morning face (yes that would be yesterday’s eye make I didn’t get off all the way) then my freshly washed face. I use African Black Soap or a bar charcoal soap, depending on if I use my PMDpmd - Clean or a facial brush. Then I did my new Ordinary routine a.m. Hylauronic Acid, Way of Will Brightening Face Serum, Ordinary “Buffet”The Ordinary - ''Buffet''Let it all sit for a sec and then added a lightweight Trader Joe’s face moisturizerTRADER JOE'S - Ultra Hydrating Gel Moisturizer with Aloe & Green Tea Extractsand La Mer creme LA MER - The Moisturizing Soft Creamas an eye cream (cuz that shit is expensive and I will probably never buy it again because I do not know what I was thinking but I want it to last as long as possible) we’ll see how good I am at doing this every day and do a one week update. I dunno. Might as well give it a go.

PMD clean
I’ve been using the pmd - Clean for a few weeks and it’s a game changer! My pores around my nose are less clogged, and my acne is slowly clearing up. One side is to be used with your cleanser. I do a double cleanse with either Rocky Mountain Soap Company’s Transformative cleansing oil or BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O Soothing Micellar Cleansing Water , then I put some of Beauty Counter’s pore cleanser on the brush and massage it all over my skin. Then, when applying my serum (Beauty Counter‘s vitamin C serum or grace & stella - Hyaluronic Acid Serum ), I use the massaging side to help it absorb. Supposedly the massage has anti-aging benefits as well. Give it a try!

PMD Dermabrasion
This was my first time using PMD Dermabrasion wand and it was not the best. Make sure your skin is always pre cleansed. My skin is tough and i have had Peels, hydra facials, you name it. Nothing has ever happened like this before The wand comes with adjustable crystal heads to pull away impurities and dead skin cells. After my second use on the most sensitive slot, my skin began to burn and cracked. I stopped immediately and was not even applying too much pressure After a few strokes, that was it It was painful and uncomfortable for about a week before I started healing Thank god no scars! I used Hyaluronic serum to lubricate my skin and retain the water I had lost (Peter Thomas Roth) retails:$65 at ulta and $31 at Walmart if still available and $18 at Nordstrom Aloe Vera, Moisture Reset (hydropeptide) and Rescue Cream and Anti stress Free oil (Kerstin Florian) All of these helped replenish my skin back to its original moisture, healed the lines from the harsh suction and applied calming factors to the redness and cracking. I watched YouTube reviews, there were good and bad and finally I found one that related to my situation Always try the product in n small areas before you damage your skin Home care devices that claim “professional “ results can be risky.

PMD Clean Pro Facial Cleaning Tool
PMD Clean Pro Facial Cleaning Tool
PMD Clean Pro RQ is a facial cleansing device that is made of silicone and has up to 7,000 vibrations per minute. It is meant to remove dirt and oil from the skin. It is made of silicone which makes it anti microbial and has a warming rose quartz side that is meant to help serums and other skincare products sink in. I bought this because it was all over my facebook feed. I've had it for about 8 months and absolutely love it! I use it with almost every face wash and it helps really make my skin feel clean. I also haven't had to recharge it yet! I find that I don't use the heated rose quartz side as much as I would. I would recommend this product highly even though the price is a bit steep. For sure a repurchase if this thing ever stops working. It's $179 online, but their site frequently has sales. 5/5 for me.pmd - Clean Smart Facial Cleansing Device

Clean Smart Facial Cleansing Device

My go-to face cleansing tool
My go-to face cleansing tool
I LOVE 💕 my PMD Clean! 😂 Did you read that in Oprah’s voice too? I’ve been using it weekly for the last year. Since incorporating this facial cleaning tool into my routine, I haven’t had any blackheads. OK, maybe one or two here or there but this baby has kept them at bay. Prior to purchasing the PMD Clean 🧼 I was a Clarisonic user. I would use that device twice daily, which resulted in me over cleaning and drying out my skin. The other reason I switched from that brand was due to the expense of constantly having to purchase brush heads for the tool. The device itself was already an investment! Plus, I found those brush heads to be a breathing ground for bacteria. The brush heads are literally smearing the dirt you wash off your face back onto your face with each use. Gross! 🤢🤮 Even worse, most of the face grime and water lives underneath the brush head and results in mold. I gave my Clarisonic to a friend. The PMD Clean caught my attention primarily because it’s a one-time purchase. You buy it for $99, although I snagged mine at TJMAXX for $39, and you’re done. No more buying brush heads. The device is made out antibacterial silicone which makes it sanitary to use. My esthetician says you can mix a small bottle with rubbing alcohol and water 💦 to spray and clean it if you’d like. The head of the device also has a dual side which you can use for massages. I comes in handy after you apply your serums and your oils. It provides about 7,000 vibrations per minute, according to the company. There are four speeds. I use the first two for cleaning my face and the last two speeds for far massages. I love my device. I highly suggest it for someone looking to add a facial cleanser to their routine. I knocked one star off because the device doesn’t come with a cover. It’s sits out on your sink as is. I was so happy when they launched their travel container which makes taking this on trips a little bit easier. 4 out of 5 stars 🌟 #pmd - Clean Pro[goods]#[FourStars]

Have you try a pmd beauty tool ?
Have you try a pmd beauty tool ?
The PMD tool Is a spinning disc removes dead skin cells as the the suction gives it a boost for a deeper clean that helps with blackheads and more.🌸 This device i use it 2 times a day : morning with a cleanser and before i go to bed or when I take a shower. Usually, i will have this in the shower with a face exfoliate and it feels it penetrate the pores and feels that the water is actually cleaning deeper. Price$ ❤️ Well I don’t know... like the thing is more if is necessary 🤷‍♀️ in reality you don’t have to have this product or device to clean your face but... it actually give you a little more or better results using it ! I like it !!! It cost $100 but i have seen cheaper brand that defenetly will do the same ❤️ pmd - Clean Pro
