Hair Care 👩🏻‍🦰
I have always tried to take good care of my hair so I have experimented with so many products. These are all my currently favorites: •☀️ Nature Lab. - Shine Clarifying Scalp Scrub - I use this after shampooing & being using conditioner. This stuff foams up sooo much so you really only need a pea sized amount! It makes my roots so soft & shiny! Love it!! •☀️ RAW SUGAR - Healing Power Hair Masque - I put this in my hair after washing out conditioner & leave it in for about 5-10 minutes in the shower while I shave & wash my body. I can’t believe how soft this makes my hair! I can’t live without this stuff!! •☀️ Apothecary BLVD Thickening Biotin Leave-In ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - I actually use this extra brand of shampoo & conditioner & I love them so I figured why not try the leave-in too! I’m so glad I did because it has helped my hair growth so much & helped me get rid of so much breakage that I have always dealt with! •☀️MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment - I have used this stuff for YEARS! It is so amazing & you only need a little bit! It makes your hair so soft & shiny but it doesn’t weigh it down like other oil products tend to. It literally gives your hair this beautiful glow! Such a must have!! •☀️ JOHN FRIEDA - Secret Weapon Touch-Up Crème - This stuff is my holy grail!! I have always had some breakage on top of my head, leaving these annoying little hairs that always stick up! Well this stuff holds them all down without making my hair hard or even looking like I have product in! I wish I had found this stuff sooner!!! Have you ever used any of these products? What are you absolutely favorite hair products?? 💖 @cherie@Cheriebeauty@CheriePick

January Empties Review - [skin, hair, & makeup]
As sad as get to finish a product, I may be slightly more excited to start something new! But before I open those bottles, here are my reviews of January Empties!! epicuren DISCOVERY - Crystal Clear Eye Makeup Remover This eyemakeup remover takes everything off! Even magnetic lash liner! This is also a treatment, in that it has peptides to help lengthen lashes and vitamin k to help address dark circles. It has no scent and a soft velvety finish. I have a back-up bottle on hand at all times! #Osmosis - Refresh Revitalizing Eye Cream[products]#[ThreeStars] I love the line of Osmosis, but this eye cream wasnt my fave. It has more of a gel consistency, and the applicator is nice, but I didnt feel it did much for my eyes. I felt I needed more hydration. It didnt hurt my eyes, as I’m sensitive. But I much prefer my eyecream from Herbal Dynamics Beauty, which is 1/2 the price! Herbal Dynamics Beauty - Flawlessly Firm Toning Body Butter I LOVE this body butter. I have 2 other posts about this product on my Cherie page. #Blissoma - Pure Sensitive Care Complex[products]#[ThreeStars] Blissoma is a holistic line and uses all plant based ingredients. This felt nice on my skin and did not break me out, but I did not like the earthy smell. Again I have to enjoy the experiencing using my skincare, and this did not deliver Herbal Dynamics Beauty - Cucumber & Blue Lotus Micellar Cleansing Water This was my first time using Micellar water. I liked it as an am cleanser, or for a quick refresh after a run. This would not be my go-to for removing my full face makeup. It did burn my eyes if I used it to remove my mascara. For days I dont wear makeup, this works just fine. epicuren DISCOVERY - Bulgarian Rose Otto Hands down my favorite rose facial oil. Smells so good! And feels so luxurious on the skin. For normal to dry skin types. I always have this on-hand as well. butter LONDON - Power Up Mascara I liked it! It was water resistant, jet black, and lasted all day. Gave both length and lift. MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment I always love this hair oil, but i’m trying to stay away from artificial fragrance. That’s why it’s down 1 star. glo - Luminous Liquid Foundation SPF 18 Great coverage, non-pore clogging, and lasts all day. I LOVE this foundation

Empty hair favorites
I have fine hair that is easily weighed down by leave in treatments. It’s hard to find good products that help keep my hair looking healthy and create body. I have a short, textured bob style OUAI - Texturizing Hair Spray I love all of Ouai products that I’ve tried. This is a great spray that I add once my hair is styled to give me amazing body and some definition I desire. I typically like to wash my hair only 1-2 times a week and this is a product that doesn’t dry or damage my hair if left in for several days. MOROCCANOIL - Treatment Light I’m a HUGE fan of this oil because once again, it’s so very difficult for me to find any products that don’t weigh my hair down. I always used BioSilk or It’s A Ten but both were more of an overnight treatment than an everyday option. Then I received a sample of the MoreoccanOil and haven’t used anything else since. I decided to purchase the light as the original is ok for me but the light just is the best option. All I need is a dime size and my hair has a beautiful, healthy shine. Living proof. - Color Care Whipped Glaze I’m a fan of Living Proof so when I saw a mini of this Whipped Glaze with the color care shampoo/conditioner I decided to give it a shot. It’s a whipped glaze that deposits temporary dyes to instantly boost vibrancy and counteract color fading and brassiness. You add it to your hair once it is clean and towel dried, working from roots to end. My hair is the bright blood you see. I can get just a tad yellow and like to add a toner to counteract. I’ve tried several but haven’t had much luck with them. My stylist, who is a renowned blonde specialist (Chrissy Rassmusen @hairbychrissy) says the wrong toners can actually give the opposite effect one is looking for. So I did give this one ⭐️⭐️⭐️ as I believe it can work for some, it just didn’t give me the desire I like. Actually, I didn’t see any change at all. It was light weight and worked well in my hair in that aspect (as a leave-in product) I may explain this horribly but I like a very bright, vibrant blonde and sometimes adding these toners can turn my hair to the more “ashy” blonde. Both are beautiful, I just don’t like that tone against my skin. There are so many ranges of blondes these days 🤯 who knew 🤷‍♀️ just take one look at Chrissy’s page and you’ll see! I have some more finished products to review for you this week! Skincare of course 😁 ❤️🍒

1st time using Moroccan oil 🧜🏼‍♀️
I received a Moroccan oil sample from Sephora and couldn’t wait to try it. I applied a small amount to damp hair and slept with my hair in French braids for the night. I woke up with gorgeous and shiny mermaid waves! (Btw the smell of this product is amazing) MOROCCANOIL - Treatment Light Since my hair is naturally very straight it almost never lasts like this, but I noticed with the Moroccan oil it stayed longer than normal. Next time if I want to keep up the look I’ll probably use some hairspray as well.

With this hair mask, you can easily get shiny hair...
If you want to have healthy and shiny hair, you must first know whether your have oily scalp or not, so as to choose the right shampoos and other hair care products. The simplest method is to observe the greasiness of the hair within two days after using shampoos. Oily scalp Your hair can be kept fresh and smooth on the first day after washing, but after the next day, it will be greasy. You will also have scalp itching and dandruff problems. Dry hair Within two days after washing, due to lack of water and nutrition, your hair will be dry and dull. You will also find it is difficult to comb your hair. For me I don't have oily/dry scalp: no greasy, soft and dry within two days after washing. I don't curl my hair and perm often. I dye my hair occasionally. Therefore, moisturizing is the most important thing for me.  The right haircare steps 1. Comb your hair smoothly before shampooing, especially for long hair. Don't miss this step, otherwise the knotted place will be still there. 2. Wash your hair with warm water for about 1 minute first. This step is not only to wet the hair, but also to fully moisten the scalp. 3. Apply shampoo on the palm of your hand, foam it, and then apply it to the scalp. Remeber don't apply shampoo on your scalp at the beginning, otherwise you'll get dandraff easily. 4. If you don't make for a long time, this is because your hair is not wet enough. Thus, don't add shampoo, insteat, water should be added. Excessive shampoo will also damage hair! 5. Gently massage the scalp with your fingers. 6. After washing, apply the conditioner layer by layer and gently massage your hair for 3 minutes, and then wash it off. If you want to use hair masks, then don't use hair conditioner. Finally gently dry your hair with a towel. Haircare products recommendation Today, I would like to recommend this product .MOROCCANOIL - Intense Hydrating Mask I use it about once a week. 1. After drying your hair with a towel (the towel absorbs the water and no longer drips), apply appropriate amount of it on your hair tips. 2. Slowly and gently omb the hair with your fingers. 3. Wait for about 10 minutes and wrap your hair in a towel. If your hair is seriously damaged, cover the towel with plastic wrap, which will make the hair mask abosorbed well. 4. Finally wash off the hair mask, and you will feel your hair is super soft and shiny. Feel free to comment down your questions!

It is so easy to make hair smooth and shiny! ✨
MOROCCANOIL - Intense Hydrating Mask You can see from the pic that my hair is thicker now, but as summer is coming, may hair is easy to be oily. Some of my friends said I should not use hair mask in summer, but I don't agree. Today I want to recommend this star product, Moroccanoil hydrating hair mask, which is super convenient without steaming ! I chose this hydrating one  which is suitable for all hair types, and I use it about once a week. Even thick and oily hair can use it! How to use: 1.Wash your hair and wait till half dry. (Use a towel to absorb the water and make it no longer drip). Because too much moisture will dilute the hair mask and affect the hair absorption. 2.Take an appropriate amount and gently rub it in the palm of your hand. (Long hair: 2-3 coin size/Short hair: 1 coin size) The tip of the hair should be rubbed especially so that the nourishing essence of the hair mask can be fully penetrated and absorbed. 3. Applu the mask evenly on the ends of hair and then on top of the head. The epidermal tissue is distributed from the top of the hair to the tip of the hair, so hold the hair with your fingers and slowly comb it down. 4.After wiping, let it stand for 10 minutes. Wrap long hair in a towel for fear of rubbing against clothes. If your hair is severely damaged, cover the towel with a extra plastic wrap to create a certain constant temperature environment, which will allow the hair mask to absorb better. 5.Finally, rinse off, and you will feel that there is still a bit of mask left on the hair. The smooth state is the best It's really super soft after washing.Gently combing the knotted areas will not get stuck, and the hair will feel shiny!

Best Drugstore Find for Curly Hair
One of my favourite things of the Allure Best of Beauty Awards is when a drugstore product wins a category! It makes me try a new product that I would have never considered. I’ve been fighting frizzy hair and thinking about what expensive shampoo & conditioner I needed to buy to tackle my messy hair. I have thin, curly / wavy hair. I rarely have time to style my hair. 99% of the time I let my hair air dry. Most days my hair ends up in a messy bun because somehow that looks less messy than the frizziness of my curls. I bought MOROCCANOIL - Curl Defining Cream because of its great reviews online. It was $38, a little expensive for a hair product. It definitely helped with frizz, but wasn’t the miracle worker I was hoping for. In steps the Allure Best of Beauty 2020 winner for curly hair shampoo & conditioner, #Herbal Essences - Potent Aloe + Mango Shampoo[products]#[FiveStars] #Herbal Essences - Potent Aloe + Mango Conditioner[products]#[FiveStars] Available at my local drugstore for $10.99 each and I found them on sale for $5.99 🙌 They are rich in mango that has Vitamin A & C to strengthen and nourish hair. Aloe helps hydrate the hair. The shampoo & conditioner are free of parabens and sulfates. I noticed an immediate difference after using this shampoo & conditioner. My hair was shiny, smooth, and had volume, something I really struggle with having thin hair! In my photo above I washed & conditioned my hair with Herbal Essences, added one pump of the Moroccanoil, and let my hair air dry on a walk to the park. These are my new holy grail shampoo & conditioner! No need to spend $30+ on a fancy shampoo. And no need for any styling!

Sephora Holiday Sale Haul
This is 35! My husband recently joked “is the fact that you’re turning 35 the reason why you got so into skincare recently?”. The truth is probably yes. The Sephora Holiday Sale lined up perfectly with my 35th birthday this week, so I bought myself some new products to try. Happy Birthday to me 🥳 Here’s what I got & why & first impressions: Sephora Birthday Gift Milk MAKEUP - Lip + Cheek Shade Werk. I used this product today and loved it! I will add it to my minimal daily make-up routine. Can be easily thrown into your purse. Adds a pop of colour to my cheeks & lips. I like that it’s matte. Living proof. - 5-in-1 Styling Treatment from Rewards Bazar. Looking to test how this product compares to MOROCCANOIL - Curl Defining Cream that I have been using recently. 99% of the time I add some product to damp hair and let it air dry. SEPHORA COLLECTION - Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer I purchased this as a dupe to the Nars Concealer. It retails for $18 vs. $39 for Nars. It went on very smooth. I loved the feel. But it was lighter coverage than I was hoping. I felt like I could still see my dark circles under the concealer. Im looking forward to introducing an acid into my routine. I bought The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HAbecause it was less than $10, so it let’s me try something new in my routine without a huge investment. I also got Kate Somerville - Liquid ExfoliKate Triple Acid Resurfacing Treatmentfrom the Rewards Bazar. I will try the products separately and see which product I prefer. You can look forward to a comparison post in the future :) Similarly, I’ve been reading a lot about Vitamin C and really wanted to add a Vit C serum to my AM routine. I was debating a couple different products, but the prices were $80+ and I found the reviews really mixed. So, I decided to start with The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%it was less than $10 and includes Alpha Arbutin, which is great for hyperpigmentation. I will let you know what I think! Next, I picked up GLAMGLOW - Youthmud Glow Stimulating & Exfoliating Treatment Mask from the Rewards Bazar. Tingled a lot the first couple minutes. It did leave my skin looking very smooth & clean. But, it’s $99 for 3.5oz! So, I won’t be running out to purchase. Finally, I decided buy the hyped LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask Lips are one of the areas I’ve neglected. I’ve started to notice my lips aren’t as full and losing their colour. I was hesitant to spend $26 on a lip mask, but Im happy that it’s a good size jar that will last a while. Love the little applicator brush. It feels very luxurious applying it. I like the consistency. Not as thick as I was expecting. I like the berry scent. Dare I say after two nights of using it my lips feel more hydrated, plumper and even younger!

Birthday Gifts From Sephora 🎈
Since I am a Beauty Insider member & my birthday is in a week, Sephora sent me this awesome package! •MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment •MOROCCANOIL - Night Body Serum •MOROCCANOIL - Hydrating Styling Cream •FIRST AID BEAUTY - Pure Skin Face Cleanser •FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream I have actually used all of these products before except the Moroccan Oil Body Serum! I am excited to give it a try because I have loved all of the other products from Moroccan Oil! Their treatment serum & styling cream are amazing! You only need a little bit of each & they make your hair look & smell amazing! I already use 100% Argan Oil in my hair daily so adding this into the picture is going to make my hair even better! I’m actually going to be dying my hair (either ombré or balayage) next weekend so I can use all the hydration possible!!! First Aid Beauty is also one of my favorite brands. I use their cleanser daily already so this one is going to get used up when I’m done with the tube I already have! The repair cream I don’t use in my face because I think it’s a bit too thick but I do use it everywhere else! I use it on my hands, arms, legs & feet! It really is an “everything” cream! I even use it on my 1 year old son! His cheeks have been getting pretty dry lately because it’s been so cold where we live & this is the only cream that I have found that helps him instantly! & we have tried every single “baby” cream before trying this! & none have held up to the ultra repair cream. What’s great about the FAB Cream is it is completely safe for babies, & their whole “ultra” line is also safe for sensitive skin. Lately I have been using the FAB ultra lip repair lip balm & I absolutely love it! Have you guys tried any of these products before?? If so, what’d you think? 💖 @cherie@CheriePick@Cheriebeauty

BEST OF SEPHORA: HAIR PRODUCTS 💆🏾‍♀️
Sephora introduced me to these products years ago and they are still some of my favorites to this day! I love Moroccan Oil products because they are super versatile. I naturally have very dry coily hair and most of their products give my hair a beautiful shine and plenty of moisture to help my hair from breaking. I also wear wigs and no matter what texture I wear these products bring life back into my hair giving my shine, bounce and volume! MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment is made with argan oil. It is thicker than olive oil but thinner than castor oil. This product is full of fatty acids that promote hair growth and strengthen hair. When I use this product on my natural dry, coily hair I apply liberally making sure to saturate my hair from roots to end. When I wear wigs with looser textures I apply a dime sized amount to my hands and rub it in to my hair. This allows me to add shine back into my hair when it looks dull without weighing it down. It also acts as a great heat protectant for when I am straightening my hair. I ran out of my MOROCCANOIL - Moisture Repair Conditioner so it is not pictured here but love the moisture repair shampoo and conditioner set. The MOROCCANOIL - Moisture Repair Shampoo and conditioner are creamy and rich in argan oil, keratin and fatty acids that strengthen, condition and moisturize hair! This is hands down the best shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used. It’s great for all hair types. It leaves my hair feeling silky. Worth every penny! (OGX Coconut Miracle oil combo gives me similar results and I’ve been using them more lately because they are sold at my local pharmacy. They are also cheaper in price). MOROCCANOIL - Hydrating Styling Cream this works great for my wigs. For straight hair I apply a small amount to my hair before styling . It helps with frizz and adds shine. For wavy to curly textures I apply more liberally and it defines my curls and adds a bit of hold as well as shine and moisture. Although this product works wonders for my wigs it’s not the best for my natural 4C hair. I find that the moisture from hair creams doesn’t absorb well into my hair and often leave white flakes all over once it dries. Oils work better to moisturize my coily hair. #CheriePartner

Dry Shampoo Falls Flat
I LOVE dry shampoo. A good dry shampoo is worth its weight in gold. I was excited to try Moroccan Oil’s dry shampoo in dark tones after grabbing a trial size with some Sephora Rouge points. Unfortunately it falls a bit flat. (The first photo is an after photo, swipe for a before.) It smells amazing and it does make the hair less oily. However, despite being for “dark tones” it still left white residue on my roots. It also did nothing to add any body to my hair. I probably won’t buy the full price version, but this could be good for someone with shorter/less oily hair. MOROCCANOIL - Dry Shampoo Dark Tones

BEST DRY SHAMPOO EVER 😍😍😍
ThisMOROCCANOIL - Dry Shampoo Dark Tones May just be my favorite hair care product that I’ve ever owned. This is different than other dry shampoos because it has a dark tone to it as opposed to being a light white powdery tone which is very helpful if you have dark hair. Beyond that technology that I absolutely adore this is just a great dry shampoo. Saves me from having to wash my hair multiple times in a week I usually wash my hair only 2 to 3 times a week now that I’ve been using this product for the last few years. It has really saved my hair from more heat damage but also having to shampoo often because of an oily scalp which has made my hair grow longer. This product definitely is a bit pricey but I would pay for it over and over and over again and I have gone through this product several times. I very highly recommend it.

Favorite Shampoo and Conditioner!
Favorite Shampoo and Conditioner!
My hair care is pretty simple🧖🏻‍♀️🐶 . . . I shower at night so it’s dry by morning so I rarely use a hair dryer. I usually put my hair up in a bun a couple times a week so I only use heat on it about 4 days a week. And I don’t color it or use a lot of product. . . . With all my hair facts out of the way, time for my favorites! I use @moroccanoil shampoo and conditioner and it smells amazing! I have somewhat thick hair and even a little bit goes a long ways for me. I then use @randco Acid Wash about once a week. It strips my hair of any build up and smells amazing! I use it on it’s own and my hair is so soft and shiny afterwards💙 . . . Please note the Acid Wash is gifted but opinions are my own. The Moroccanoil shampoo and conditioner is a little expensive but it’s totally worth it for how little I need and how long it lasts!

Moroccanoil haircare travel mini’s. Perfect for your hand luggage, being under 100ml, they’ll save you spending half your holiday money at Boots once you’re through security. Plus, the products are dreamy. I’d say my favourite is the cult class Morroccanoil Treatment. I smooth this on to towel dried hair to combat frizz and to keep the strands soft. The lighter version is perfect for my fine and coloured hair and it’s great for adding to your ends on the days you don’t wash the do. The Protect and Prevent Spray contains a blend of antioxidants to protect against harmful UV rays and against heat from styling. Containing the jazzy ArganID micro-encapsulated technology this spray helps to repair and seal the cuticle of your hair, leaving it smooth and swishy. The Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner are perfect for fine and coloured hair like mine. Infused with antioxidant-rich argan oil, reconstructive keratin and fatty acids, this hair care set mends broken strands and dead ends to restore elasticity, moisture and shine.

I’ve got some empties! It’s always bitter sweet when you hit empty on a product that you love. Thought I would share my thoughts on these. Neutrogena naturals fresh cleansing and makeup remover- this product works well removing makeup and making skin feel clean. I like that it’s from their natural line as well. It can make the skin feel a little tight afterwards though. I’ve bought it before and I would probably buy again. up &up moisturizing facial lotion with sunscreen. This compares to ceraVe. It has a bit of a sunscreen scent but it moisturizes nicely. I’m not crazy about it and am still on the hunt for the perfect sunscreen. Moroccan oil- one of my HG products, I’ve been using this for almost 10 years and will continue to buy. It’s moisturizing, smoothing and smells heavenly. . Pixi retinol tonic- this is nice, it feels calming and soothing but I can’t say it does a whole lot retinol wise, I have repurchased once but don’t think I will again. Ouai scalp and body scrub- this smells divine, but as a scrub it’s nothing special. Overall I think it’s too pricy and can find less expensive scrubs that work as well. Tarte maracuja oil- I love this oil for nighttime, I mix it with DE a- passioni and they blend together wonderfully. I will probably repurchase . The ordinary “buffet” this is a mix of peptides. Overall the texture is nice and it absorbs nicely but I wasn’t blown away by it and won’t repurchase . DE protini- I love this moisturizer for day or night, it absorbs and doesn’t feel greasy. I have a couple minis still to go through and plan to purchase full size in the future.
