blonde upkeep on Asian hair ✨
I went from virgin black hair at the roots to a light ashy blonde in one session! For most this might be extremely damaging. Luckily, I have an amazing stylist that was able to lift my hair without causing any major damage. That being said here are the products I’ve been loving since going blonde: amika: - Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo If you have blonde hair it is a MUST to use purple shampoo! It tones down any brass tones. I love this one by Amika and use just a little dime size amount mixed with my every day shampoo. OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector This is an amazing product for smoothing hair follicles while strengthening too. I love this product! However, I feel that it’s pretty spendy for the amount you get in one bottle. OLAPLEX - No. 4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner Love this shampoo and conditioner duo. I have naturally straight and frizzy hair, but this duo has helped smooth my hair entirely and help maintain the color. OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme The smell of this product is to die for 🤩 I use this after I shower and towel dry. A little bit goes a long way with this! BEACHWAVER Co. - Pro Rotating Curling Iron Love the beach waver, but dislike the price. You can achieve the same style of waves with a regular curler. However, I can style all of my hair in less than 15 min with this. It’s all about convenience in my opinion.

I was really hoping it was all hype....
I've been using this once a week for 3 weeks, and I was hoping it was all hype (because it's $38/100mL), but Y'ALL! It really works! I havent noticed high-voltage shine really quickly, but my hair immediately has felt immediately bouncier and softer. Even on days 2 to 3, when my hair starts getting limp and oily! I chemically treat my hair a couple times a year, but I very rarely use heating tools and only wash twice per week. That being said, my hair is prone to split ends. While this product is probably a miracle worker for severely damaged hair, Olaplex believes this product is good for EVERYONE. I have to agree with them. The only reason I rated this 4 stars is because of the price per volume. I have quite thick hair, so I'll probably need to buy more after 6-8 uses. Also you use this before shampooing, and you have to pre-wet your hair before use (which I find minorly irritating). I'd definitely prefer it to be somrtjing I could use in the shower. WOULD DEFINITELY REPURCHASE, THOUGH!

I finally found the hair wash routine for me ✨
I feel like 2020 has been the year I finally embraced my hair. I have damaged, colored, and frizzy curly hair. My hair has always been a sore spot for me as growing up I never knew what to do with it. I spent early mornings with my mother (who has curlier hair than I do) painfully brushing my hair as a child. As a teen I never knew how to style my hair so I always ended up straightening it with my Wet 2 Straight iron and dyeing it almost every color under the sun. Then fast forward to an adult where hair products were the last thing I wanted to deal with. Until this year, I finally made the investment in my hair. It wasn’t until this year that I learned the importance of salon quality shampoo and conditioner. I always make the joke that I do skin not hair but my cosmetology friends have taught me a lot. Bumble and Bumble gifted me their Bumble and bumble. - Bumble and bumble Curl Moisturizing Shampoo and Bumble and bumble. - Curl 3-in-1 Conditioner which have been a god send. My only complaint is it’s an expensive brand for so little product but I’ve seen such a huge difference in how soft and hydrated my hair is. I have this in my shower along with another shampoo my boyfriend is currently using. One week (I try to wash my hair once or twice a week) I accidentally used the wrong shampoo but thought nothing of it. It wasn’t until the next week when I reached for my Bumble and Bumble again I noticed the immediately texture difference it left my hair feeling. The shampoo lathers really nicely with a light scent while the conditioner (which I only use on the mid shaft down) deeply nourishes my hair. I now swear by this shampoo and conditioner and will purchase it in the future. As for leave in products I always make a cocktail of three products. I do two pumps of the IGK - Good Behavior 4-in-1 Prep Spray , one squirt of the OLAPLEX - No. 6 Bond Smoother Reparative Styling Creme , and a couple drops of the OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil . With all the dyeing and heat styling I put my hair through last year I use the olaplex to help rebuild those damaged bonds/strengthen them. If you’re using the bonding oil the key to the component is tapping the bottom while it’s upside down. The product disperses really easily this way. I’m a HUGE fan of the original IGK Good Behavior and use it every time I heat style my hair so I was pumped when they came out with a prep spray. This spray helps tame my frizz and keep my hair really smooth. I have very thick hair and it works wonders to help detangle. Out of all the hair products I’ve tried I’ve noticed the hugest difference in the integrity, softness, and overall health of my hair since using these. It’s inspired me to attempt to style my hair more often as it’s not a frizzy, damaged, and unruly mess.

And everything smells amazing. The shampoo and conditioner make my hair feel great. eufora - Bodifying Shampoo eufora - Bodifying Conditioner On the pricy side, but amazing. 100% worth it. My cosmetologist sells it, so of course I buy it and use it. Keeps my hair healthy. TRESemmé - Thermal Creations Heat Tamer Leave In Spray I actually really enjoy using this when I curl my hair. Smells so good. OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil Helps with the heat damage. Hair feels super soft after using. 100% saves my hair. FOXYBAE - White Marble Rose Gold Curling Wand FOXYBAE - Cool Af Heat Protectant FOXYBAE - Flaminglow Leave In Conditioner I like this company! Curling wand is super pretty and works great. Although you can’t adjust the temperature which is the only downfall of the curling wand. The heat protectant and leave in conditioner smell amazing and leave my hair feeling soft and fresh.

What you should know to fight hair tangles
I guess that probably no one hasn't experienced struggling with hair tangles, especially girls with long hair. Actually, a deep-rooted reason for hair knots is the lack of moisture in the hair.  We pay much attention to the condition of our skin everyday, but we often ignore that hair also loses moisture easily. It’s moisture loss that leads to dry, frizzy and tangled hair. So hair moisturizing is very important to get rid of tangles. Want to detangle your hair without damaging it? First and foremost, nourish and hydrate your hair. By what? By good shampoo and conditioner. I’m a big fan of Olaplex OLAPLEX - No. 4 Bond Maintenance ShampooOLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner, its core ingredient Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate can identify and repair disulfide bond, which plays an important role in the structure and stability of hair keratin. And keratin is the key to make your hair light, anti-detangle, bringing silky shine and texture. Maybe you can give this brand a shot.  Then, here are what require your attention in daily hair care: Apply conditioner before washing it If your hair easily get tangled before washing, apply hair conditioner on the ends and gently comb with your fingers for 3 minutes, to make hair smooth and soft, then follow your usual routine of shampooing and conditioner. This can reduce pulling your hair to detangle and actually achieve better cleaning effect. Don't rub your hair in a towel In order to let the hair dry more quickly, many girls wrap their hair with dry towel and rub vigorously. STOP! Rubbing hair is one of the reasons that causes a hair tangles and even damages your hair quality. You’d better gently cover and let the dry towel “absorb” the moisture on your hair. Make good use of hair oil Some girls may be not patient enough to detangle hair and pull, comb their hair by force. As you pull your hair, your scalp gets pulled too, and the hair roots will become looser and looser, which automatically leads to hair loss.   If you hair get tangled in ordinary times, you can apply a small amount of hair oil to the knotted part and gently rub the tangles to help smooth the hair. If you really fail to detangle, use scissors to cut off it and just say goodbye.  Hair sunscreen Exposed to the sun for too long, the moisture in the hair and protein will lose fast andeasily, then hair can become inelastic, tangle and break easily.

How to Fix Hair Static ❄️
I have thin, straight hair so when winter comes and I need my little hat, my hair goes wild! But why? ❄️ What is hair static? ❄️ Hair static is when your hair gains an electric charge. This can happen from friction and a change in humidity. This makes the hair pieces separate from each other and of course adds challenges for styling. Generally this happens more in the winter due to the low humidity. Here are some tips to prevent this! ✨Use a hair oil My favorite one is my Gisou. It is lightweight and made with honey so it is very hydrating and helps me with flyaways and general hair frizz even when it is summertime. This doesn’t leave hair heavy or sticky and I feel like this always makes my hair look and feel better. Not to mention it smells amazing! This comes in a mini and full size and is now available at Sephora. Also it’s so luxurious and the glass packaging is gorgeous. This has three sizes now, the mini is $25 and 0.7 oz so that’s probably a good place to start but I purchased the 1.7 oz for $46 and LOVE it. I will be purchasing the full size too. ✨You can buy anti-frizz sheets This is a new discovery for me and I haven’t tried them yet but rather than dryer sheets which are not meant for your hair, these sheets have things like coconut oil in them and are meant to be used on flyaways and the hair line to help with static. These can be found on Amazon! ✨Use hydrating hair products This could be your shampoo, conditioner and even the occasional hair mask but these will also help a lot with static. You’re going to want to avoid any drying products as well. I personally love Olaplex products because they repair hair from the inside out and smell so good 🍓 This is 8.5 oz and $28. They also have a cute holiday set out for $60 which has the shampoo, conditioner, hair mask and bond smoother. Also, when styling your hair, make sure to use a heat-protector which will lock in the moisture! gisou - Honey Infused Hair Oil OLAPLEX - No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner #CheriePartner

Olaplex No. 0 & No. 3 Kit
I’m writing this while waiting to apply no. 3. I’ve used it before and it works wonders. I’m one of those people who cannot bleach her hair professionally or at home with mild or strong bleach slowly or quickly without severe damage. Possibly due to a genetic disease I have that effects collagen quality. I’ve only recently come to accept this fate and died my hair blue black... I’ll review that later (it didn’t go well. I have navy hair.) this product when used regularly (perhaps once a week) will hide any damage you have giving you soft and silky strong hair. But it does wear off without maintenance. So unlike the way it’s advertised it does not truly fix your hair but scientifically that’s impossible anyways. Hair is dead. Dead things can’t be healed when damaged but you can mask it. I know for some ladies that may not sound comforting. But look around you. How many ladies do you know with zero hair damage? If they blow dry, straighten, bleach, dye, style, etc. then they have damage. And they will use things to hide it just like this. And some ladies don’t have to do anything to get damage! They just get that unlucky! Would you rather shave your head? I have. And it was fun at first but hair growth takes years and you may not wanting to wait so long to get your hair length back healthy. I haven’t tried using the no. 0 alone. I always follow up with no. 3. This product was a gift from a professional hair stylist at a local old folks home where before covid hit i was a volunteer as my mom worked there. Being in wheelchair doesn’t have to stop you from “working.” But it does stop people from being willing to officially hire you. Having hair at the very least look pretty is very important to my self esteem as well as many other ladies. If my hair looks bad then I feel like all of me looks bad and go out feels like humiliating. So rest assured this product works with no side effects in my experience. You need to saturate your hair in no.0 then leave it for 10 minutes then apple no. 3 generously abd wait another 10 minutes minimum. You can use it overnight hair but wear a cap because if it gets in your eyes it’ll hurt and potentially blind you.

My favorites for before & after washing hair
There are multiple products here because this is a process to my soft hair lol. OLAPLEX - No. 0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment Kit I love this product and it’s a two step process. The first step you pour into the tips of your hair and then to the roots. You leave it on for 10 min then put the N3 into your hair and wait 10 min. You then do your normal shampoo and condition. OLAPLEX - Bond Repair Trial Kit I got all the minis but I used the shampoo and conditioner from this too and I do enjoy it and feel like it does what it’s supposed to do to your hair. I then use the N6 from this and apply it with the next product. OLAPLEX - No. 7 Bonding Oil I use this product along with N6 & the next product to keep my ends and hair frizz free and it makes straightening my hair so silky. L'ORÉAL - Elvive Total Repair 5 Protein Recharge Leave In Conditioner I use this product with the two products above and I basically mix them together and they make my hair soft and protected. All in all these products are my favorite and work amazing together to make my damaged hair look nicer. Especially since I have dyed my hair a lot it saved it. I definitely recommend this!

I wanted to love it
Even before the pandemic and lockdown I had a hard time getting to the hair dresser regularly to get a trim. I could easily go 6+ months without a trim. So, I suffer from bad split ends. Over a year ago when I was at the hair dresser she recommended I buy Olaplex. She said you can go a year without a trim if you use this once a week. She sold it as a miracle hair treatment. I paid about $40 for it and figured it would be worth the money if she was right! OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector -Limited Edition The reason I’m giving this product 3 stars is because over a year later I’ve barely used half the bottle because I find it’s application so inconvenient. I can hardly find the time for it or remember to use it weekly. It may very well work miracles, but for me I haven’t used it regularly and not surprisingly haven’t noticed a difference. How to use Olaplex No 3: I guess it is similar to using a hair mask, which I don’t have in my regular routine either. Wet hair. Towel dry. Apply a generous amount from roots to tips. Leave in at least 10 minutes. Rinse with shampoo & conditioner. Use at least weekly. I find this very time consuming. Im a busy mom. Getting a 15min shower in feels like win. Having the time to wet hair, apply, wait, rinse just never happens for me. I’m going to stick to leave in conditioner products. ❌ Definitely will not repurchase and will likely not even finish this bottle

The product that SAVED my hair
There’s a good chance you’ve heard of Olaplex, and there’s a good reason for that! I have been using the OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector for at least the last 5 years. It has seen me through years of scalp bleaching and the inevitable hair coloring mishaps. The product works to strengthen the bonds in your hair that is broken down by things like bleach, hair color and heat styling. I use it once a week even when I’m not treating my hair because it has really helped me with growing my hair long and healthy. However, this isn’t a normal hair mask, it goes on BEFORE you shampoo and condition, what I usually do is put it on in the morning when I know I’ll just be sitting around the house and then wash it off in the afternoon- the longer the better! #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

How to Bring Back Damaged Curls
The photo on the left was from September 2018. My hair was extremely damaged from straightening almost every day and also from chemical damage due to constant changes to my hair color. The curls on the left were my BEST curls, I remember how much I loved my hair that day! Fast forward to the picture on the right - my current curls. When I first started I would describe my curls as Type 2b/2c They have transformed to Type 2c/3a as I worked toward healthy hair. Here are a few tips to repair damage: 1. Use Deep Conditioning Treatments - my hair was dry and brittle from all the damage. I incorporated deep conditioning treatments like MIZANI - True Textures Moroccan Clay Steam Hair Maskinto my hair routine, using it weekly in the beginning to bring some moisture back to my curls. 2. A system such as OLAPLEX - Bond Repair Trial Kitwill help repair and strengthen damaged hair while you’re growing it out. This is extremely helpful to try and maintain the hair you have. 3. Understand that time is the one thing that will really help your transformation from damaged to healthy hair! It takes a lot of patience but it is well worth it. 4. Protect your hair at night to prevent breakage. I highly recommend investing in a silk pillow case. My favorite is from LILYSILK - 19 Momme Print Silk Pillowcase with Hidden Zipper. Cotton pillow cases can snag your hair, which can cause breakage and also knots...which can cause breakage when you try and detangle the next morning. I also sleep with my curls in a braid, covered by a bonnet, or up in a pineapple using a silk scarf. Lots of choices! 5. Reducing heat damage is vital. Taking care of your curls in the beginning is hard work, and we don’t want to negate that effort by continuing to cause heat damage! Personally I stopped using flat irons and curling irons on my hair entirely the first 6-8 months. I straighten my hair now maybe once a year, the only heat that I use is a diffuser on low. Good luck on your journey to healthier hair! Let me know if you have any questions in the comments #cheriepartner

OLAPLEX - No. 3 Hair Perfector This treatment saved my hair when I bleached it twice. It’s a god send. It’s on the pricey side for a small bottle. About $28 But it worked for me. Its comparable to the ApHogee - Two-Step Protein Treatment but it doesn’t make your hair hard. I personally like olaplex better though. Even if you don’t have damage it’s still good to keep your hair healthy
