Hair Revival
As a redhead, I’ve always taken great pride in my hair. However, it wasn’t till quarantine that I actually started taking care of it. I have 2B hair that is prone to frizz, I used to use drug store brands and would wash my hair daily due to my vigorous workout routine. I started washing it every other day, and while that helped, it wasn’t until I found new products and a new routine that I can actually say I’m happy with my hair. Here is my entire routine! Wash day: Shampoo and condition: Redken All Soft - it is hard to go wrong with this shampoo and conditioner, good for all hair types Post shower: I start by combing through a pump of jojoba oil thru the bottoms 3/4 of my hair with my fingers then I use IGK - Good Behavior 4-in-1 Prep Spray (my miracle product, ideal for blow outs, but still helpful when air drying) next IGK - Thirsty Girl Coconut Milk Anti-Frizz Leave-in Conditioner (a must leave in conditioner for my curly friends) and then I finish with VERB - Ghost Oil on my ends Once a week instead I use: IGK - First Class Detoxifying Charcoal Shampoo to help with product build up and VERB - Ghost Hair Mask to help with softness. These products work great! Thanks to the charcoal shampoo, an oily saturated scalp is a thing of the past. And the ghost mask smells of lovely sandalwood and my hair is so smooth after, it’s mesmerizing. Non-shampoo days: If I have a light workout I normally just use IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo before and after my workout. Best dry shampoo I have ever used. The charcoal really helps with the sweat. Now if I did my typical 5 mile run and weights, I need something a little more powerful to help me out. I start by using IGK - First Class Charcoal Detox Dry Shampoo prior to working out, this helps to absorb the oil as you workout. After my workout, I rinse in the shower with IGK - Smoke & Mirrors this is the next best thing to shampooing! My hair feels clean afterwards, however, it doesn’t strip your hair and dry it out. I follow with my normal post shower routine, however I skip the jojoba oil. I also started adding a scoop of collagen powder to my first cup of coffee. I mainly started using it because at 23, I’ve already been running nearly every day for 9 years 😅 so my joints need all the help they can get; however, I think it’s helped in making my hair stronger. My hairdresser noticed an extreme difference in my hair, which was all the confirmation I needed to continue on this pursuit.

Good hair care sampling
This is all the hair samples I’ve tried in the past few weeks and also a part 2 of @amika faves ✨ @amika Bust your Brass line introduced me to the concept that a purple conditioner can do SO much for blonde hair. Up until then I only ever used a purple shampoo, and even the @amika one I felt was superior to my previous. My previous purple shampoo was purple but washed off white and foamy while amika: - Bust Your Brass Cool Blonde Shampoo and washer off as a purple foam- which makes me think it’ll do the most for blonde hair! I also really love the amika: - Bust Your Brass Violet Leave-In Treatment Foam , I’ve been working it in after styling and I really love it. Some other new faves are Briogeo - Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Scalp Scrub Shampoo and the Briogeo - Don't Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Hair Mask . I had no idea how much I needed a scalp scrub until I tried this, and now I know I need one in my routine. Ot makes your scalp feel so much cleaner- and dont worry about the scrub cleansers- they dissolve easily. I actually went and bought the full sizes shortly after finishing the samples. I also think its important to note that the Briogeo - Scalp Revival Stimulating Therapy Massager is the real key to scalp treatment- for both cleansing and overall hair treatment. Its been long known that massaging the scalp circulates blood flow to the roots and can help with hair growth. Finally, I tried VERB - VERB Ghost Shampoo , VERB - VERB Ghost Conditioner and VERB - Ghost Oil that I received from a virtual gift exchange. To be honest, the shampoo and conditioner didnt jump out at me as something amazing but I really did like the Ghost oil, made my ends feel smooth. VERB - Ghost Starter Kit

Verbs the word, for hair masking anyway...
I received my December Birchbox (FiNaLlY) on Saturday! Despite the delay, I do remain grateful for the United States Postal Service for I know they are doing their very best with the uptake in holiday deliveries. Anyway, inside my Birchbox was the Verb Ghost Hair Mask and I decided to apply it while I was in the shower today and let it do it's job while I shaved. The smell was delightful, not unlike thier other hair products, if you've ever used them. The scentl was not overpowering; it was light and nice. When it came time to rinse the mask off, it rinsed away easily, like I was rinsing out conditioner. My hair felt nice and smooth. I got out of the shower and blow dried my hair and it looked pretty good but I had plans on pumping up the volume with my heatless curlers (see pics)! I could really tell my hair had been treated because it wanted to slide out of the curlers when usually it sticks in them with no problem. When I was done with the curlers I used my Not Your Mother's She's A Tease Volumizing Hair Spray to set the curlers and proceeded to do my makeup. When I was done with my make up I took my curlers out and combed out my hair to check out the final results of the Verb Ghost Mask and how it affected my hair do... I was happy with the end results (see pic). I wanted a healthier, smoother, head of hair and I'd say the product delivered. For $18 for the full size, it may be worth buying from my hair dresser the next time I go!! VERB - Ghost Hair Mask I give this 5 ⭐because I liked the smell and texture of the product and the ends results it had on my hair. I will be using this again. NOT YOUR MOTHER'S - She's A Tease Volumizing Hairspray I give this 5 ⭐ because this is my second can of this spray and it is great at giving me the volume I need in my hair. It's not too stiff and my hair still moves after spraying it so it still looks natural.

first impressions: VERB GHOST 👻
I recently received a free sample of the Verb Ghost Shampoo + Conditioner in my most recent order from Sephora. It came in super cute monochrome packaging and what I would describe as the perfect amount of product in each packet for one use. While using a product one time isn't always indicative of how the product may perform in long-term use, I would argue that hair products are more flexible in this regard, hence why I'm still reviewing it. First impressions of the smell of both products is that it's a super duper light and clean scent! Both the shampoo and conditioner do not appear to have any added dyes. They are also described as sulfate, paraben + cruelty-free as well as vegan. The shampoo lathered very nicely (if that is something important to you) and washed out leaving my hair feeling noticeably cleaner! The conditioner I applied from root to tips as my hair is rather short and left my hair feeling extremely soft and silky. It was also very easy to brush afterwards! I am certainly considering purchasing the full-sized products!!

The Best & The Blah - Hair Products @ Sephora
My hair is long, fine, and blonde naturally but has also been bleached and colour treated for years. So with it being fine, that means it’s extra delicate and I have to make a special effort to take good care of it in order to prevent breakage/damage. I do a lot of shopping at Sephora (more than I’d like to admit) and have tried my fair share of brands and products when it comes to hair care. While I will say that most of my hair care favourites are NOT from Sephora (they’re from the salon), I’m here to showcase some of my faves products and some that are just meh...here we go! 1. BLAHBriogeo - Apple Superfoods Shampoo & Conditioner Hair Pack ($35/bottle CAN) - I like the light scent and I feel it does a decent job overall, but it’s not my favourite and I don’t feel it’s worth the price because it’s very basic. 2. BESTOUAI - OUAI Leave-In Conditioner (Full Size $34 CAN, this is a deluxe sample) - I use a leave-in every single time I wash my hair because my hair is long and fine and gets tangled so easily, so leave-in helps to combat that. I will definitely be purchasing the full size of this! 3. BLAHOUAI - Detox Shampoo ($39 CAN) - I find that this does cleanse my hair decently well but definitely doesn’t deep cleanse the way some other detox/clarifying shampoos I’ve used have. I was hoping it would be a bit more clarifying than it is, but I’m also glad it’s not super harsh or stripping. 4. BLAHdrybar - Hot Toddy Heat Protectant Mist (Full Size $36 CAN, this is a sample) - this is a basic heat protectant and you can definitely find something just as good, if not better, for much cheaper. Overall, would not recommend this one and it’s very strongly scented. 5. BLAH drybar - Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler ($32 CAN) - this one is definitely meh...I’m not entirely sure it does anything at all. It’s very lightweight and doesn’t provide any hydration, it might be better suited for hair that gets greasy easily🤷🏼‍♀️ 6. BLAHVERB - Sea Texture Spray (Full Size $20 CAN, this was in a set) - honestly, I don’t really love very many aerosol texture sprays. I find that they don’t really do much for my hair, but I keep trying them because I really want to find a good one😆 7. BEST VERB - VERB Dry Shampoo ($20 CAN) - this stuff is BOMB! I got it in a set and have been loving it. I love that it’s not aerosol and it does an amazing job at absorbing oil and giving the hair volume and texture. Highly recommend! 8. BESTVERB - Ghost Oil ($20 CAN) - I cant believe I waited so long to try this! It’s lightweight but hydrating and is great at combating static and frizz - it doesn’t make my hair feel greasy or weighed down at all! #CheriePartner

VERB Powdered Dry Shampoo
VERB makes my favorite powdered dry shampoo. It refreshes hair, removes oil and impurities, boosts body, and prevents damage from constant washing and restyling. Note that VERB comes in a powder and spray - I prefer the powder. Best way to use dry shampoo is right before bed (you can apply it and not rub it in). If you use it in the morning or right before you leave the house, it always helps to use the heat from a blow dryer and brush it through so it blends in well.

Hair Update
So far I haven’t been impressed with any of the hair products I’ve tried. Now I want to be fair. I am sure there is a lot of damage to my hair that can’t be undone simply by rubbing in a serum or dowsing my head in an oil. However, I do think there has to be a product out there that will tame my frizz without making my hair look greasy or clumpy. #ORS - Olive Oil Replenishing Pak[products]#[ThreeStars] smelled amazing, and seemed promising. It is meant for curly hair (mine is not) so I think it was too heavy and it was difficult to wash out. It took me three washes before I didn’t have greasy residue in my hair. Not saying it’s a bad product, just wasn’t right for me. VERB - VERB Hydrating Mask this one you apply in the shower and only let sit a few minutes. It made my hair feel awesome in the shower, but once my hair was dry I was back to frizz town. Yesterday I applied #Texture ID - Waves Smoothing Serum[products]#to my hair post shower. It left my hair a little bit crispy (like a gel does) and my hair is tangling pretty easily. But at least it isn’t frizzing out everywhere! The journey continues. Maybe it’s just time to lose some length and start fresh 🤷‍♀️

This past weekend I was away and, in terms of hair care products, had only brought with me travel size shampoo and conditioner bottles - I failed to pack a travel size leave-in conditioner or even a hairbrush So, my hair has been dry, brittle, and very sad for the last several days, and in need of a serious pick-me-up. Enter the Verb Hydrating Mask, which I wore in my hair overnight after washing my hair last night! Let’s talk: — This Hydrating Mask is meant to manage and restore all hair types. It’s a conditioning treatment that can be used weekly to restore color-treated or over-styled hair, and add lost shine and softness back into the hair. Babaso oil helps to hydrate and nourish the hair while glycerin binds moisture to hair for added softness. The recommended use for this guy is to leave it in your hair post-shampoo for 5-7 minutes, then rinse out. I have particularly dry and damaged hair due to having dyed it so many times over in the past few years, so I chose to leave this on overnight. 💆🏻‍♀️ Results? After washing it out this morning, I found that I did not need any leave-in conditioner after my shower. I just brushed it out and went about my day, and upon it drying I found that my hair had retained all of the moisture, body and shine that the mask was meant to provide it with! Definitely had a good experience here and absolutely recommend this mask.

The Best Hairspray for Thin/Fine Hair
If you’re like me and have fine hair, you’ll love this hairspray. This VERB - Ghost Hairspray gives you the hold you want without feeling crispy. The scent isn’t the best smell but I don’t find it lingers. I hate feeling hairspray in my hair and with this you can’t even tell you’ve used any. I love having a hold but also still being able to run my fingers through my hair and having movement. This hairspray has a medium hold but it’s super light-weight and won’t weigh your hair down :) This retails for $20 CAD, which isn’t horrible considering how perfect I find it for my hair. The only downside is that the spray nozzle will sometimes get clogged up. 100% recommend this.

Easy Party Hairstyle Pictorial
About my hair: thiiiiick, long, wavy/curly, frizzy This style was done on same-day washed hair. I loveeeee this style, especially for summer! It’s super easy to do. The concept involves making small buns. While my pictorial involves making 3 buns, depending on your hair length you may only be able to do 2 buns. I’ve also done this style with 2 buns and it’s really cute! This style can be done regardless of your hair type. What you’ll need -heavy duty Bobby or spin pins -hairspray -comb -optional: texture spray if your hair texture is fine or slippery Steps: (Pre-step: spray texture spray throughout hair if using. Skip if not.) 1. Comb all of your hair from the front of your head towards the back. 2. Separate the section of hair near your crown. 3. Twist the hair counter-clockwise until it starts to coil. Wrap the hair around itself into a bun shape. Use your other hand to hold the bun in place while wrapping. 4. Pin the bun in place. 5. Separate the section of hair above your ears. 6. Repeat steps 3-4 to pin a second bun into place. 7. Repeat steps 3-4 to pin a third bun into place. 8. Add additional Bobby pins if needed to secure your buns and smooth hair in the front of your head. Use hairspray to lock your style into place. If your hair is shorter, this style can be done by separating your hair into 2 sections instead of 3. Accessories, like sparkly pins or clips, would look awesome with this style. My tips: Invest in some spin pins. They make buns a BREEZE. For these small buns, I only use 1 spin pin because they hold so well. goody - Hair Simple Styles Mini Spin Hair Pin are about $7-9. Heavy duty Bobby pins also work well, such as CONAIR - Styling Essentials Firm Hold Bobby Pins , which are amazing for thick hair (about $6-7). I don’t suggest using non-textured styling pins because they won’t hold this style. I used VERB - Ghost Hairspray in this pictorial, but feel free to use whatever medium or high hold hairspray you have on hand!

Verb hair care and Amikq shine mask
VERB - Reset Clarifying Shampoo VERB - Reset Repairing Mask VERB - Reset Sealing Mist #Amika - Flash instant shine mask[products]#[FiveStars] So I used all of these in one go because I was very excited to have smooth shiny hair for Christmas Eve. I wear my hair in a bun or ponytail basically all of winter because I hate how tangly the back of my hair gets when I leave it down or in a braid. I’m not the best at giving a description on hair products, normally it’s just I like it or I don’t, so I did like this shampoo and conditioner mask, I thought they smelled good and did their job, and I also really liked the amika mask, the combo of these made my hair really smooth and shiny and silky. I just wish the sample packet of the hair mist wasn’t in a packet and actually had a spray because that stuff only ended up on certain spots of my head because I had to kind of dump it quick 😂

From hectic schedules and travel to lack of exercise and not sticking to my food restrictions I’ve been off the rails a bit since the holidays. This past weekend I decided it was time to “reset” which means getting back on track with my diet and supplements, making the most of downtime with regular workouts plus the occasional Netflix binge session, and of course self care. So the arrival of the Verb Reset Collection couldn’t have come at a better time! The Verb Reset Collection is a 3-step system made for everybody looking to clarify the scalp, repair damaged or overworked hair, and restore hair to its most natural state. Step 1: Reset Clarifying Shampoo deeply cleanses the scalp by clearing away oil, impurities and product build-up while restoring essential minerals back into damaged, breakage-prone hair. VERB - Reset Clarifying Shampoo Step 2: Reset Repairing Mask is a restorative mask that delivers intense hydration while repairing damage by penetrating, nourishing and protecting dry, fragile hair. VERB - Reset Repairing Mask Step 3: Reset Sealing Mist is a strengthening mist that locks in protein from step 2, sealing the hair cuticle, leaving hair smooth, shiny and easy to style. VERB - Reset Sealing Mist What I really appreciate is that I do use multiple heat tools when styling my hair and this collection gives me that peace of mind that I’m not causing any unnecessary damage. I’m also prone to oily scalp and product buildup without leaving my hair feeling stripped. I feel like I could almost use it every day…if I could give up my beloved Ghost shampoo. Another great collection from my faves, Verb and highly recommended for anyone that uses product, heat tools, color treats, spend time outside, or have natural wear and tear on their hair (AKA — everybody).

My Favorite Hair Products for Wavy Hair
💫 So one of my goals this year has been to embrace my natural wavy/curly hair and stop frying it into submission with a flat iron. The quarantine has really helped me on this mission but so have these these products! 💫 Amika Supernova Shine Cream Blonde- This stuff is phenomenal. I use this cream after I get out of the shower on wet hair. It weighs my hair down just enough that I don’t look like I’ve just gotten into a car accident, but still leaves a natural bouncy wave. This helps so much with minimizing my frizz and increasing shine and the purple tint keeps my blonde from looking brassy. 💫 Verb Ghost Oil- Hands down the best hair oil I’ve ever used. This makes my hair INCREDIBLY soft without weighing it down and helps a ton with defrizzing and adding shine. I’ll sometimes use this instead of the shine cream. 💫 Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil Heat & UV Protective Primer- This was the first oil I ever fell in love with. It’s so light and easy to use...it almost feels more like a spray leave in conditioner than an oil. I prefer this one when my keratin is fresh and my hair is a little more on the oily/flat side because it’s so incredibly light. I love that in addition to smoothing frizz and adding shine it also protects against heat and UV. 💫 Verb Sea Texture Spray- This is only $16 and it’s my favorite texture spray of all time. I’ll use this on wet hair after an oil or shine cream and it really helps define my waves and lock them into place without being crunchy. I’ll also use this on like day 3 hair to refresh and touch up my waves.

I have LOTS of hair but it’s fine so it not only gets weighed down easily but my scalp gets oily very quickly. The Verb Ghost Shampoo weightlessly cleanses fine and easily weighed down hair. Infused with Moringa Oil and formulated to protect color, naturally smooth frizz and promote radiant shine for all hair types. I find that my hair feels ultra-soft and smooth with incredible shine but my scalp also feels very clean and stays that way for a few days. At $16 for 12 fl oz it’s a very affordable salon quality shampoo that’s also free of all the harsh surfactants and other nasties. Definitely a great option that I highly recommend! VERB GHOST HAIR MASK 👻

Full
VERB GHOST HAIR MASK 👻 Full disclosure: I’ve never really been a big hair mask person bc I’m impatient and find them difficult to incorporate. It always turns into an internal debate re: whether I should put it on before my shower, wait, rinse, and then shampoo, or use it in-shower, in place of my conditioner—which requires a major struggle to keep my hair out of the water in my tiny TINY shower for 5-7 minutes. Most of the time, doing *neither* wins out. Then, things changed: I got a SHOWER CAP (seems so obvious now), verbproducts dropped THIS mask, and suddenly, I was inspired! I’ve used it twice so far, and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed. It’s got that classic citrus and wood 👻 scent that I love, and it does just as it claims to do: softens, nourishes, and defrizzes hair without weighing it down. My hair is more on the thin/fine side and gets gross relatively quickly, so anything that leaves behind residue and speeds that process is a no-go for me, but at the same time, my hair is color-treated and a little dry and damaged at the ends, so I need the hydration and nourishment. This mask delivers that perfect balance without heaviness! I even went without my go-to leave-in product last time (yesterday), just to see how it performed on its own (mostly—I always use Ghost Oil before blow-drying), and my hair felt so smooth and healthy without sacrificing that CLEAN feeling I love after washing. This product—like all Verb products—is formulated WITHOUT sulfates, parabens, and mineral oils, and is #crueltyfree. To note, the mask does contain silicone and fragrance. ]

I’ve never been one to really
I’ve never been one to really care about what hair products I use but I’ve changed my mind since I started using this verbproducts hydrating shampoo + conditioner duo 💁🏻‍♀️ my hair is fairly healthy but I can’t believe how much softer and smoother my hair has been since I started using these products! My hair is also less tangly and a lot shinier than it used to be. I don’t have anything against drugstore hair products because they’re super affordable and I’m not educated in that area to be judgmental, but I think I finally understand why hairstylists constantly stress the importance of using professional brands when it comes to shampoos and conditioners. I’ve noticed that I’m using less products and getting a better outcome. So if you think about it, even if you’re spending more, your products are lasting longer and providing you with quality results. I don’t know about you guys but I’m all for quality over quantity 🤪

VERB’s purple hair mask!!!!! 💜✨
VERB’s purple hair mask!!!!! 💜✨
VERB - Purple Toning + Hydrating Hair Mask Hello!!! I am naturally blonde and every once in a while I get highlights. Since we have been in quarantine and I haven’t gotten my hair touched up since September, my blonde is slightly faded and grown out. I have used purple shampoos in the past with my blonde hair and loved it but when I saw VERB had a purple hair mask I bought it right away! This mask brightened up my hair and got rid of the brassy color. I left it on for seven minutes after shampooing and my hair was soooooo soft and smooth after I didn’t even have to untangle any knots with a brush (that is super rare for me). The scent it super fresh and clean smelling, and it is VEGAN, cruelty free and the packaging is recyclable!!!! 🌿🥰🐰🌍 If you are blonde, you should def try this out!! Byeee 👋🏼 💜
