⛅️End of Summer SPF roundup! Face & body🧴
Just because Summer is coming to an end, your love affair with daily UV protection never should. These are the sunscreens I tried this year that I wanted to share with you guys. 🌤An obvious disclaimer: my skin is very pale & I can’t totally predict how these products will blend into deep skin tones regarding “white cast” (the washing out effect that zinc based sunscreens can have) But I tried my best to give an idea of the texture before & after blending/absorbing, check out the slides🤍 KINSHIP - Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturzing Sunscreen Zinc Oxide SPF 32 Texture: creamy & moisturizing Finish: very dewy/shiny SPF: 32 Type: Zinc Oxide 22.4% I did a thorough review of this probiotic moisturizing sunscreen in a previous post, it’s very detailed⚡️ Has a light natural vanilla-oatmeal scent & a slight beige tint. I love this one for being so moisturizing & comfortable to wear, but the finish is quite dewy, so I feel I need powder over this to wear it in public. sun bum - Mineral Face Lotion SPF 30 Texture: creamy & lightweight Finish: matte SPF: 30 Type: Titanium Dioxide 5.3% /Zinc Oxide 2.4% This is such a great inexpensive option for a matte, mineral sunscreen that leaves very minimal white cast. The cast is slightly blue, though it blends away on my skin, this could be problematic for darker tones. The texture is so creamy yet very lightweight, it reminds me of makeup primer. It’s quite moisturizing, has no scent & is the most matte out of the 3. SHISEIDO - Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42 Texture: liquidy & lightweight Finish: matte SPF: 42 Type: Zinc Oxide 12.5% /Octinoxate 4.9% /Octocrylene 3% This has been my go-to for years. It’s a combination of mineral & chemical sunscreens, & is oil free. You have to shake the contents really well first, but it has a little shaker ball inside to help. I love the texture of this, really light & absorbs well without being overly matte. I do always need moisturizer on under this though. The white cast is really minimal even with reapplication, & it’s never irritated my dry skin. Neutrogena - Ultra Sheer Body Mist Sunscreen Spray SPF 45 Texture: lightweight liquid aerosol Finish: satin/semi sheen SPF: 45 Type: Homosalate 15% /Oxybenzone 6% /Octisalate 5% /Avobenzone 3% /Octocrylene 2.35% Honestly this makes my skin feel itchy & tight after applying, even after I moisturize. I’ve been steering away from purely chemical sunscreen formulas like this, but chemical sunscreens do work better for sone people. I wouldn’t recommend for dry or sensitive skin. sun bum - Mineral Continuous Sunscreen Spray SPF 30 Texture: creamy, medium weight aerosol Finish: velvet matte SPF: 30 Type: Zinc Oxide 14% Has a sort of tropical scent & feels good on the skin. Though some white cast, it’s not the ‘blue’ tint the face lotion has. Full review in a previous post.
What I threw in my Hospital bag🏩
Because I have a neurological disease, I have to go to the hospital pretty often & stay for days at a time. There have been times where I had to leave so suddenly or I wasn’t conscious, that I didn’t get to bring any skincare beyond the lip balm in my pocket. In the past I used to just throw every moisturizer sample I had in my backpack, but as you may have guessed, being in a new environment under stress is not the best time to test new products on our skin. So this most recent time I had to be quick, but managed to grab some helpful items... A “hospital skincare” bag will never be perfect, for me it’s about maintaining comfort. You may have noticed I didn’t bring a cleanser, I recommend you bring one if you can with a few of your own face towels (towels in the hospital are so scratchy & have been bleached) Me not bringing a cleanser is just realistic for me because I likely will not be up at a sink... I brought: BIODERMA - Sensibio H2O wipes Biodegradable & free of Silicone, Petroleum products, Sulfates & Alcohol. These are a really nice gentle face wipe. I haven’t used to remove makeup though. SHISEIDO - Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector Broad Spectrum Face Sunscreen SPF 42 Don’t forget to still wear sunscreen even if you’re chillin inside! This has never irritated my eyes, so for me it’s a great option to apply with out a mirror. CAUDALIE - Grape Water Face mist at the hospital is a must! This is my favorite. Full review is my first post.🍇I would love to bring my travel size but I ran out. LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask shade: Gummy Bear 🐻 Great for keeping my lips moisturized under my mask😷& overnight. Full review in previous post. sun bum - Signature SPF 30 Sunscreen Lip Balm Less important with my mask on, but I highly recommend this mineral sunscreen lip balm with non-nano zinc for all skin tones! Its free of fragrance, parabens & petroleum products& it’s less than $5 SHANGPREE - Marine Jewel Nourishing Mask & MAY COOP - Raw Sheet are two of my favorite sheet masks, check out my full reviews on both in previous posts. Beauty of Joseon - Calming Serum : Green Tea + Panthenol 🍵🍃I also bring this calming serum, it’s over 76% green tea leaf water & 2% panthenol (a B5 provitamin) I’ll be doing a full review soon on this & the other 2 serums Korean skincare brand Beauty of Joseon has to offer. HERBIVORE - Rose Quartz Facial Roller To relive tension in my face... I give this 4 stars because mine kind of squeaks at me & that’s not super relaxing lol. SHANGPREE - Diamond Luminous Cream A very rich Niacinamide cream I’ve been using. Full review of this K-beauty gem coming soon!💎 Briogeo - Farewell Frizz Rosarco Milk Leave-in Conditioning Spray Mainly for some aromatherapy🌹

Wow, this SERUM! 😍
I am in LOVE with Shiseido’s Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate. In. Love. I received a mini size of it in my Macy’s 25 Days of Beauty Advent Calendar, so I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now. Right away, I could tell I was really going to like it. It’s such a silky, luxurious feeling serum and it absorbs into skin beautifully. It immediately feels hydrating and makes skin look a little brighter and bouncier. Over the last few weeks, I’ve been having really great skin days. My face is clearer, more radiant and overall softer. I think this serum is really playing a part (although there are a couple other products I think are helping as well that I’ll review at a later date!). The concentrate contains reishi mushroom extract, which is packed with antioxidants to help strengthen skin and reduce the signs of aging. Now, my only problem is the price tag. I know Sheseido products come at a cost and this is no difference. A one ounce container comes with a $70 price tag. So, I will be wrestling with whether or not to buy it for myself once my sample runs out. At the very least I’ll have dewy skin for another few weeks! What serum do you recommend for results? SHISEIDO - Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate
All serums I have emptied and tried in 2020
Many of them I have only had a very short encounter but want to name a few: SHISEIDO - Ultimune Power Infusing Serum Concentrate I use this before all other serums. I enjoy the light weight texture and skin barrier strengthening feature. TATCHA - Violet-C Brightening Serum 20% Vitamin C + 10% AHA this is a clear serum and absorb right away. Very gentle but potent. Sulwhasoo - Bloomstay Vitalizing Serum beautify package and scent. A bit on the sticky side but not much once on the skin. ESTĒE LAUDER - Free Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex Ii Sample With Product Purchase odie but goodie. Can’t imagine one day I will not have it in my routine. I really hope to try the new version of this.

Cosrx cotton rounds vs. Shiseido facial cotton🤍
☁️I ditched drugstore cotton pads a long time ago, I could never consistently find ones that didn’t flake & shred fibers onto my face. I have sensitive eyes & I absolutely hate getting anything stuck in there, I’m sure we all do. I don’t wear makeup much anymore, but having cotton pads that don’t shed or fall apart is so crucial for removing eye makeup! I mostly use cotton pads for my toning step. A good cotton pad will be absorbent, but not too much to be able to dispense your products across your face. 💦Pro Tip: If your cotton pads still look dirty or has traces of makeup after toning, this means your cleansing routine isn’t cutting it. Toning is not meant to further clean your skin after cleansing. Rather, toner meant to help rebalance skin & prepare it for your following hydration/moisture routine. 🚰 Toner is an important for me because I’m not super happy with my tap water quality. If I wouldn’t drink, I’m not thrilled about washing my face with it, but I’m not bougie enough to wash with Évian®😭 SHISEIDO - SHISEIDO Facial Cotton $12/165 pads Description from Shiseido: This exclusive Facial Cotton is 100% natural and uniquely manufactured for a consistent soft, smooth texture. Allows for maximum absorption and assists in the application of Shiseido softeners. 165 sheets per pack. My review: I’ve been using these & loving them for years. It seemed like such a splurge to me when I first switched, but such an upgrade, I never looked back. They’re about 7 cents each, so it’s honestly not that bad if you’re sick of buying random cotton pads at Target/Walmart. (I checked prices a few mainstream brands like Equate & Q-Tips, which range from about 2-5 cents per) These are super soft! It doesn’t soak up too much product even though they’re plush, it gives it right back to, making toner an effective & enjoyable experience. I love they have no type of seam or edge, so there’s nothing but soft, fluffy texture☁️ COSRX - Pure 100% Cotton Rounds $12/80 pads Description from Cosrx: Soft, round cotton pad made of wavy patterned 100% cotton to mildly wipe skin without irritation. My review: Every once in a while I forget to add my usual Shiseido facial cotton to a Sephora order, so I decided to try something new in a Soko Glam order. These are double sided, one side is textured, one smooth. Technically these are twice as expensive per pad as Shiseido. Some of you may like the textured side for removing makeup or applying certain products, but I personally didn’t find it as an added plus. It’s not rough, but the smooth side isn’t as soft as Shiseido. They perform fine, but overall I like the softer, plush texture of Shiseido better. Cosrx has little seam edges I don’t care for. Results: Both held up equally well in all my tests. Swipe through the photos. I tried to see how much roughing up they could take & if they would flake or fall apart-they didn’t. Cosrx pads are slightly stronger, but both broke eventually💧
Fabulous Makeup Remover
Ok. First off. If you haven’t purchased shiseido’s facial cottons, you have not lived. The facial cotton they make is SO soft and absorbs liquid so well. When you use it to apply a toner or remove makeup, it feels like the worlds softest tissue gliding along your face. Imagine charmine three ply toilet paper but doubled up and cut into a perfect square... shiseido is pretty similar. The amount you get in the package too is well worth the $14 it costs. Trust me. Buy a package of them. UNREAL Ok so- the BEST makeup remover I’ve ever used is this cleansing water. It’s so good for sensitive skin- especially around the eyes because it doesn’t burn them. Someone when I’ve used makeup remover, the product has bled into my eyes and causes them to burn or make me squint really hard. This cleansing water doesn’t do that at all. It gently removes all types of makeup (waterproof included) with the help of rose water but also soothes sensitive and stressed skin with their mixture of ingredients they call “dragons breath” It’s super hydrating too! You know when you wipe your face with a makeup wipe but then your face has a weird film on it afterwards- yeah- not with this baby! I honestly don’t know how people just take off their makeup with a wipe and then go to bed! I need to wash my face and then apply four hundred creams before I go to sleep 😝 Anyway, buy these two products. THE BEST combo

New Year’s Eve look!
To me, NYE is all about shiny and shimmery things, so I decided to go with a subtle gold shimmery look! I am by no means an eyeshadow master, so this is my best attempt, please bear with me! I just dabbed a little eyeshadow on my finger, and dabbed it onto my eye. I used BOBBI BROWN - Eyeshadow to fill in my brows. I used #Burt’s Bees - Nourishing Eyeliner Pencil[products]#[FiveStars] in warm brown to give natural definition to my eyes and COVERGIRL - LashBlast Volume Mascara for my lashes. I used my favorite SHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler to lift my lashes. I didn’t use any concealer or foundation today, so my HIP marks were showing, but I put some BOBBI BROWN - BOBBI BROWN Bronzing Powder on my cheek bones, some Glossier. - Cloud Paint Seamless Cheek Color along my cheeks, and some BOBBI BROWN - Shimmer Brick Highlighter on the high points of my cheeks and the tip of my nose.
🕷🐈⬛🕯Friday the 13th & feelin cute!🕯🐈⬛🕷
I try not to be superstitious about a day or a number, but I still find myself thinking about it🤔 🍂It’s really feeling like Fall! Had the first snow of the season the other day, but now it’s just raining a lot🌧 Before I took better care of my skin, I rarely took selfies without makeup on, I just didn’t feel cute. Now I feel cute with a glowing face full of skincare & have kinda ditched makeup (which personally, also helped my skin tremendously!) I felt extra cute today & just wanted to chill & get cozy, but we have guests right now, so I decided to throw on my fav mascara & gloss for fun. ➡️ Everything on my skin, lashes & lips is in the next photo. GIVENCHY - Phenomen’eyes Mascara Is my ultimate favorite mascara! I truly miss the brown shade this used to come in, but that’s just me, loved it for my lashes (& brows when I was lazy) The brown shade was not great for every look, but it was so soft & natural looking. This black shade is your basic, classic black, I’m just so in love with the formula & applicator. 🏰The comb reminds me of that medieval spikey ball weapon thing. Love it. It makes it super easy for me to control where I’m applying, & keep it light, feathery & clump-free (my personal preference for an everyday mascara look) I love how i can just sort of “kiss” my lashes with this product, especially the bottom line, so effectively. ✔️You can definitely get a more dramatic effect with this mascara if that’s what you’re going for! 🖤The thing I love most is how the formula really holds my curl throughout the day! My tricks for lashes is start with a great curler. This will be different for everyone, because we all have different eye shapes. My eyes are not deep set at all. My lashes aren’t particularly long, but my lashes sometimes graze the inside of sunglasses for instance... My perfect eyelash curler has a less pronounced curve than most standard American market curlers, which helps get me the perfect curl with no pinching at all! 🛍I also use a FREE spoolie (yes I’m that bitch at Sephora) to comb out any clumps. SHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler I also always have these on hand, so I’m never with a cracked/split one, save your eyes from injury & hidden bacteria: SHISEIDO - SHISEIDO Eyelash Curler Pad I wish Sephora carried these! They’re only $6/2 pack-but annoying/wasteful to buy without free shipping-unless I buy tons lol. *i always curl BEFORE mascara! As the mascara is kinda drying I use clean fingers to sort of push them up to curl a bit more & have it hold! ⚠️You may be tempted to use a curler at some point AFTER mascara. Though I did it 1,000x without incident, the one time I pulled out over half my top line was it for me! Proceed with caution. DIOR - Lip Glow Oil So moisturizing & not sticky! Lips look alive & plump!💕 NEST FRAGRANCES - Bamboo Candle 🕯Jasmine/Amber vibes, warm, perfect for Fall🍂

Is the $50 splurge worth it?
This foundation claims to “self-refresh” during its wear with its trademarked “active force” technology. Whatever that means... Can anyone tell me? Lol. Retailing at 47 dollars, is it worth it? 🧐 Personally, I like it. When you first put it on, it does seem a bit thick, but it definitely settles into your skin after 30 minutes and the finish is flawless. Coverage is about medium - which I’m fine with. But as you can see, it’s not 24 hour wear, my red spots are peeping out after 8 hours but it still looks pretty good. Honestly, I don’t expect any foundation to last for more than 8-10 hours😂 However, at $47... hmm.. If you’re willing to splurge, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed! You can always rely on this foundation, it has SPF, and it’s easy to apply. I have yet to find a drugstore dupe! I’m going to give it 4 stars because of the price and this “active force” technology that they don’t explain on their site which makes me think it’s more of a marketing gimmick. Harajuku Style🇯🇵 J beauty rainbow makeup
Obsessed with Harajuku Style. Yesterday I tried this Harajuku girl rainbow makeup. Here are some simple steps to create this makeup. Base makeup: I used Shiseido foundation and Tarte concealer to create a matte finish Eyebrow: Used this for THICK eyebrows Eyeliner: I use a blue color eyeliner beneath the black one. Eyeshadow: To create this rainbow makeup, eyeshadow is the key part! I applied red(matte one), green, yellow, and pink(a shimmer one). I also put some glitters under my eyes. Blush: I applied a little on my cheekbones Lipstick: It is pigmented but not very long-lasting. My friends said it seems like the E-girl makeup. Maybe.

Hi all! So I’m 29 years old and just started my nee PM skin regimen! I’ve always suffered from acne.. so I’ve tried it all in the books!!! IVE ONLY BEEN USING THE PRODUCTS FOR 3 DAYS!!! BUT I HADDDD TO SHARE BECAUSE OF THE SIGNIFICANT CHANGE!!! The The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% has really controlled my oily skin and inflammation of new pimples. TheCure - Natural Aqua Gel I use it 2x per week and it’s a super gentle water based exfoliador that removes all your dead skin without the harsh acids or chemicals. The HADALABO - Rohto Hadalabo Gokujun Hyaluronic Lotion Moist moisturizes your face! And I use it AM and PM... which btw my fave is pretty dry because of all the new things I’m trying out. The SHISEIDO - Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream is very smooth and your skin sucks it up! But it does have a mild fragrance smell (which I don’t mind). I use it for fine lines...more of a prevention... TheDIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel I just started using it as I mentioned -3 days ago- it’s supposed to take up to 12 days to actually see a difference but I already do!!! My pimples have reduced in size and they definitely don’t hurt as much. Last but not least! The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA I seal off the entire treatment with this moisturizer!!! You definitely need it because your face will DRY OUT and look patchy!!! I WILL POST AGAIN IN 14 days to see any improvement!!!
Eye LOVE These Products 👁!
About two months ago I started using two new eye creams. They are Ole Henriksen’s Banana Bright Eye Creme and Shiseido’s Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream. Now, you’ll notice I said I love these products but I only gave them four out of five stars. My reasoning is because I bought these creams after researching products that will help fade under eye circles and I haven’t noticed much change in my circles. I admit, my under eye circles are INTENSE. So, I’m not sure if anything can tame them. HOWEVER! I have noticed a serious change in my under eye wrinkles and crow’s feet since using them. They are definitely fading. For my routine I use the Banana Bright as part of my morning face care and the Benfiance at night. I think I’ll definitely buy these both again! OLE HENRIKSEN - Banana Bright Eye Crème SHISEIDO - Benefiance Wrinkle Smoothing Eye Cream
Toner for oily skin
SHISEIDO - Treatment Softener Enriched Lotion for Normal to Dry Skin I keep two or three toners in rotation and this happens to be one of my favorites. The Shiseido brand is all about balance. Their products that are formulated for oily skin are never going to be super drying like some brands, and that is why I love this toner. Regardless of if my skin is veering more towards the dry side or the oily side at that moment, this toner always leaves my face feeling soft, moisturized, and it helps with texture. It retails for $50 which is a bit pricey but honestly every skincare product that I’ve ever tried from Shiseido has been worth the money. I would highly recommend to anyone with normal to oily skin. Bonus points if you follow up with Ultimune, which happens to be one of my favorite boosters/serums. You can’t lose with Shiseido products!

What I use for emergency skin repair?
Today I want to share my skin routine when I have breakouts before my period, or my skin feels uneven and has small pimples on my face because I eat too much unhealthy foods and stay up late. I usually do this routine no more than five days and I can see the great results. The most important point is “less is more”, so I would only use one repairing product and focus on moisturizing so that there won’t be too much burden for my skin. For the first step, I will apply a moisturizing skin lotion with a cotton pads, which will help me clean the skin better. I use the Eudermine Revitalizing Essence from Shiseido, and I think you can choose any lotion you like if the ingredients are simple. After wiping my face and neck, I will use it one more time without cotton pads to give my skin a good base for the next step. The next product I use is the Advanced Night Repair Intense Reset Concentrate from Estee Lauder. Using Chronolux S.O.S. Technology, this treatment rescues and resets the look of skin fast, and I can tell the difference in one night! This product has Tripeptide-32, which is a patent ingredient of Estee Lauder and has great antioxidative effects. The salicylic acid and resveratrol inside can help with pores, breakouts and make the skin brighter and more stable. Besides, dimethicone, squalene and hyaluronic acid are for moisturizing, so if you have oily skin, you can omit cream afterwards. The last step for me is moisturizer. I use the True Cream Moisturizing Bomb from Belif. I really love this brand, and they have different texture of moisturizer. If you have combination or oily skin, the Water Bomb is also a great choice if your expectation is only stay hydrated all day and all night. Because I don’t want to have too much products on my face when my skin is sensitive, so keeping my skin hydrated is the most important thing for me. And this product does a great job. So that is my skincare routine when I need emergency repair and I would only use this routine when needed and go back to my normal routine after I feel better. Hope it can be helpful for you too.
My P.M Routine 👇🏻
I am combination dry skin, moisturizing has been set in the chief need. When I close to 30 years old, except moisturizing product, anti-aging products are also necessary. P.M sisley - BLACK ROSE CREAM MASK SHISEIDO - Eudermine Revitalizing Essence sisley - Ecological Compound The biggest difference between A.M and P.M is using the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask. This mask features anti-aging and moisturizing. I use it for 3 times a week. The texture is cream and presents the light pink color. It gives off a smell of rose, very exclusive flavour. After cleaning up, to apply a thick layer on your skin, and wait for more than ten or twenty minutes to wash off. After washing off, you can obviously feel that your skin is smooth and brighten. It can clean the pores and make your skin glow. After cleaning the mask completely, I am going to apply Shiseido Eudermine. I have bought-back this toner for many times. If you are dry skin, I recommend you to go to buy it quickly! It can keep your skin in a newly-born condition! Collocation with Sisley ecological compound，the function of anti-aging and moisturizing are all covered by this routine. A.M SHISEIDO - Eudermine Revitalizing Essence GUERLAIN - Bee Glow Youth Moisturizer In the daytime, in addition to not applying Sisley black rose cream mask, I will replace Sisley Ecological Compound with Guerlain abeille royale youth watery oil, which is more hydrated than the previous one from my experience. Only ensure that the skin is moist enough, the foundation and subsequent cosmetics can help you skin present the best condition. Sisley Ecological Compound is for all skin types, and the Guerlain abeille royale youth watery oil is more suitable for dry skin people! In addition to season change, I will change my routine. Any other periods I have been using this routine for over three years.

The Most Beautiful Highlighters I Found!
From left to right SHISEIDO - Luminizing Satin Face ColorPK 107: It has fine powder which is basically colorless on face and flies everywhere. It can be used on the under eye area to cover small bumps. However, it dries easily, so it's important to keep the skin around your eyes moisturized. clé de peau BEAUTÉ - Luminizing Face Enhancer #11 Pastel: It's absolutely stunning! The packaging is pretty, the powder is fine, and the little brush it comes with does a pretty decent job of applying the product. It's a loud highlighter which is well pigmented and suitable for those with a lighter skin tone. Normally, I'll apply it gently to the outer corners of my eyes and my nose bridge, giving a nice glossy look. BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter: My forehead is not plump enough, so I'll normally apply it to my brow bones, my cheekbones, the outer corners of my eyes, along my nose bridge and to my chin. It's a light champagne shade suitable for warm skin tones. It provides your skin with a healthy translucent glow. The powder is so delicate that it doesn't fly everywhere when applying. I definitely recommend it! From the swatches, we can see that Becca is a more yellowish tone, PK107 has a light metallic blue shimmer while Clé de Peau Beauté illuminates your skin with a translucent glow. You must buy yourself the Becca highlighter! You can buy the Clé de Peau Beauté enhancer if you have enough budget, or the Shiseido face color if you have an even greater budget.
Worth the hype?
SHISEIDO - Luminizing Satin Face Colorpk107 It has a light pink shade which I mostly apply on the apples and tear trough. It creates a light blue but natural-looking shade on the face under the sun. It covers the tear trough well and doesn't emphasize your pores. However, it doesn't really do much for me and many drugstore highlighters, such as Soap & Glory's Glow All Out, can offer the same results. SHISEIDO - Luminizing Satin Face Colorwt509: It has a beige white shade with no pearlescent tone or shimmers. It looks plain at first, but once it's applied, it really brings out your nose bridge and your forehead, giving you a taller-looking nose. It leaves a very natural look as if your skin is glowing from the inside out and you'll look perfect from every angle. It's also very subtle yet it greatly improves your overall makeup look.

This SPF is my BFF
SHISEIDO - Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50+ Sunscreen for Face/Body I received this product complimentary from @influenster and I was stoked because I had just ran out of the sunscreen I’d been using every day (Neutrogena’s Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion with broad spectrum SPF 50). My skin is pretty sensitive to sunscreens (for instance the Purito spf everyone loves broke me out really bad) so I’m always a bit cautious when I try a new sunscreen on my face. I love using this product. I use it as the last step in my AM routine as my SPF and moisturizer and find it very hydrating throughout the day. I am an essential worker and wear a mask every day all day and wearing this under my mask hasn’t broken me out or irritated my skin at all. The consistency reminds me of a make up primer it goes on really smooth, and wears well under make up. I also don’t smell sunscreen at all, just a nice citrus scent. It also gives my face a really nice glow it’s a light pinkish/tan shiny color when it comes out. There is no white cast (or tint) what so ever, it absorbs nicely. A little can cover your whole face and whatever excess I have I put on my shoulders. Sadly, I will say the method of applying 3 fingers would probably be too much for oily skin. Also, the one time I did use this and went for a walk, no make up on (few hours in direct sun) it did pill a little which is why it is a 4/5, but I did not reapply nor did I get sunburnt so it works, but if you’re very active or sweat you’d want to reapply or possibly bring something to wipe your face. Overall I really love this sunscreen it has worked for my skin, the scent is nice, it protects my skin for a long period of time without reapplication (I know I need to reapply but still!), it is a beautiful pearlescent color and leaves no white cast. Need to add that the packaging reminds me of the L’Oréal shampoo for kids the one that looks like a little fish with the eye which I love as well. 😂
Sephora Sun Safety Kit - Shiseido (1 out of 2)
Sun Safety Kit I grew up knowing Japanese and American sunscreens were formulated like they were from different worlds (different continents, to be exact) But Shiseido’s sunscreen had a similar consistency to all the drugstore sunscreens sold in Japan. A liquid, water-like texture. I LOVE IT! It doesn’t leave a white cast, it does the job, and feels hydrating and a little goes a long way! Would buy the full size! added note: What was interesting was that I took it to my backpacking trip to Yosemite and since it was so cold at night, the formula was hard and not runny like it was supposed to be! By noon, it had returned to its original formula, but I was super surprised!

shseido sunscreen is NOT for brown skin 😡😭
SHISEIDO - Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50+ Sunscreen for Face/Body this product had so many reviews on sephora for being super liquidy and am easy to apply...so I had to try it! I’m always on the hunt for a good sunscreen with a high spf, and this seemed like a great find. but at $35/1 ounce, it was somewhat pricey 🥴🥴🥴 YOUD THINK THAT FOR $35/1 OZ....THE PRODUCT WOULD BLEND INTO MY SKIN! wrong. when i first applied it i noticed how white the product is, but i believed that with a little patting it would sink in. after five full minutes of pushing the product into my skin, I was still left with a horrendous white cast. I hated it. the product smells like alcohol, which I didn’t mind because I like the smell. the texture was amazingly liquidy so it spread nicely across my skin. pretty moisturizing too! but this white cast was unacceptable. this product cost wayy too much and made me look super ashy. i’m so mad!!! please recommend good sunscreens for my skin down below!

J-BEAUTY FAVES: GLOWY WHIPPED BLUSH
SHISEIDO - Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush This is probably the most unique blush that I’ve ever tried. I love Shiseido’s formulas and this blush is just beautiful. It has a very light whipped texture and just gives the skin the most beautiful soft glow and a hint of color. This shade, Eiko, is a warm terracotta shade that is the perfect blush/bronzer hybrid- so I don’t feel the need to use bronzer when I’m using this! It has a hint of shimmer (you can see in the video) but when it’s on the face, it’s undetectable except that it gives an overall glow. This is the perfect on-the-go product because it has such a natural finish and is in a shade that pretty much goes with anything! If you’re ever in a Sephora that stocks Shiseido, I highly recommend swatching this product. There is no doubt you’ll fall in love with it too!
SHISEIDO-Minimalist Whipped Powder Blush
I’m so excited to talk about this Purifying Mask from shiseido 🇯🇵 I’ve been using this mask for over 10 years now and it is something that I think I will always purchase. It’s super easy to apply and take off. All you need is 5 min. Every time I use it, my skin is brighter and clearer. I sometimes even have some hyper-pigmentation spots since I pick at my face sometimes and this helps diminish those super fast! (I know, I know thats a horrible habit and I probably shouldn’t have mentioned that. But I want to be honest and share my flaws with you all too) 🙈 Anyways, back to this amazing mask: It has no scent and it’s very soothing. No pulling, no stinging, no cooling effect. It’s just amazing! I highly recommend it!

What is the Right Serum for You?
Shiseido is a product I’ve used for years since my early twenties. This is one of my Holy Grail, after water. For those who ask: Q: “Why should I use serums?” A: Serums are rich in skincare benefits and highest in its ingredient, potency, and anti-aging effects. It has the benefits of revitalizing skin to be more youthful, reducing wrinkles and dark spots, strengthening skin barrier, refining pores, reducing puffiness and redness, brightening , clearing, evening skin complexion and more. Q: “When should I use serums?” A: While moisturizers and creams are meant to hydrate your skin, as it’s name gives it away, too often we make the mishap to skip serums and only use creams. Serum is the 3rd step right after you use toner and this is key -it should be used right before your moisturizer or cream. The reason why we use moisturizer or cream after is because it helps “lock in” the effects of serums and retains it with moisture. Using serum after is a no no as well.
