Types of Acne and the Products that Helped Me.
Acne affects 80% of the population between the ages of 11-30. Acne is the medical term for spots, and can present itself with horrible blackheads and whiteheads; it can also become inflammatory, and form pus-filled spots (pustules). In more severe cases the spots can be deep, red, and tender: this is also known as cystic acne. I know about this as during my teenage years I went through a stage of having blackheads and big painful spots every month. The sad fact is it can be caused by genetics, by puberty; but there are many other contributing factors that can cause a breakout. So, in desperation, I had to find a system that worked for me, and I would like to share this information with you so that you don’t suffer as I did. First thing, always cleanse your skin every morning and evening. Never go to bed with your make up still on. This is a killer for skin with acne as you will block your pores, stretch them because they will be full of products and dirt. If you don’t cleanse the pores will remain open giving your skin an old and tired appearance. Once clean make sure you wear sun cream every day. This prevents any scarring or inflammation. I can’t stress how important this is. The combination of acne and sunburn will damage your skin forever so don’t leave the house without sunscreen, ever! Rant over - My two favorite products that saved my skin are Glamglow Mask and The Body Shop Seaweed Oil-Control Lotion. This combination really works and it won’t break the bank. Glamglow Supermud Charcoal Instant Treatment Mask GLAMGLOW - Supermud Charcoal Instant Treatment Mask I use this after cleansing my skin. If you have acne or oily skin apply all over your face, or if you just want to deep clean your pores use it only on the t-zone. Apply a thick layer, wait till dry then rinse off with water. Now for some really important information! As it deep-cleans the skin it’s very very effective, so - DON’T LEAVE IT ON LONGER THAN 20 MINS - sorry to shout at you, but if you leave it on any longer you risk irritating the skin. This product is the bomb! It unclogs and minimizes the look of pores. Activated-X charcoal picks up all dirt, toxins, debris, and impurities from within pores. TEAOXI eucalyptus leaf delivers the antioxidants that help to plum up your pores. The larger size is $59.00 on Amazon or Sephora but you don’t need much. It will last you for ages. The Body Shop Seaweed Oil-Control Lotion THE BODY SHOP - Seaweed Mattifying Moisture Lotion SPF 15 This product is $20 at Amazon or Sephora. A light lotion with a lovely smell, this product leaves your skin feeling comfortable and hydrated, but also controls all the excess oil production during the day. Great for oily to combination skin.
I wasn’t going to initially write a review, because I didn’t feel as though this product was worth my time. However - looking at all these 4 or 5 star reviews...no way. Uh-uh. I need to be real for a minute. I’ve used other skincare products from this brand, and never have I been more disappointed with results like I’ve been with this mask. So for my sample (because, let’s be real, it would have been ugly had I bought this as a full-size). 1. Packaging for the mini was awful, but I don’t usually let that influence my score. However, upon application, there’s a super intense, bordering on uncomfortable tingle. Luckily, I decided this needed to be applied as spot-treatment on my T-zone, oily patches, because dear Betsy, this would have ruined my whole face otherwise. Unless you’ve got acne city or skin as oily as Snape’s, you have no business using this on your entire face. 2. I thought I loved the way it dried...until it came time to wash it off. I scrubbed, and scrubbed, grabbed a washcloth, scrubbed some more, and there were still annoying patches in weird places - and keep in mind, this was spot treatment. 3. Some reviews raved about how good it is at clearing pores, ridding blackheads, blah blah blah. I’m not buying any of that nonsense. I’ve been doing the 10-step Korean routine, because hello, pandemic life, I’ve got time, but what do I get? More blackheads than I had in high school, pores the size of Texas, and weeks worth of beautiful/getting there/smaller pores just absolutely ruined in a mere twenty minutes of using this product. And keep in mind - this was after my trusty toner and moisturizer. I’m so not happy and scared to see my pores in the morning, as I’m afraid this might take weeks to “ unclog”, but here’s the bottom line - You only have business using this on truly oily complexions with moderate to severe acne. Don’t even bother wasting your time otherwise.

Cult Classic For A Reason 🌋🧡
Glam Glow masks have been all the rage for as long as I can remember! When I started my masking journey a Glam Glow sample pack was all I needed to fall down the self care rabbit hole 🧖🏽♀️ This mask is packed with amazing ingredients to now only help with blackheads, but also packs a punch when it comes dealing with dullness, acne, pores, and irritated skin. This mask includes 6 different exfoliating acids to help target any skin congestion issues you might be dealing with. Available in sample packs, small tubes, small jars, and large jars there is a product size for any budget. Even the small pot ($25 cad) can still give you 15+ full face masks. Using this product has become a staple in my skincare routine, and I have gifted this to individuals on multiple occasions 🎁 Will I repurchase - I have purchased multiple tubes and pots of this product, and I’m never disappointed! That being said there are multiple dupes for this product on the market, such as:
My last post was Oct 5, 2020 and my skin has come a very very long way! I still get acne but not as bad as when I started my skincare journey. I started my journey back in Sept and around midway my skin broke our quiet a bit. I’m not sure if it was purging or reactions to products. I have kept a consistent routine for the last month or so and my skin has reacted well. I went to my dermatologist Oct 13 and the only thing he told me to do was to continue with the tretinoin every other day 2-3 times a week and to use clindamycin in the mornings which I have they to start. AM Routine: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I am thankful that this works for my skin. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery I use this after cleansing and my skin has loved it! The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I use this mainly in the AM because I wear a mask and it’s an extra layer of protection! It’s helped with hyperpigmentation and I do believe it helps with keeping acne at bay. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream I love this stuff it’s a holy grail product! CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 I’ve learned to love it! PM Routine: DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil I do think this being my first step in my routine has helped a lot! I don’t wear foundation so it’s more so to remove dirt, oils and toxin from day to prep for cleansing. PanOxyl - Acne Foaming Wash Benzoyl Peroxide 10% Maximum Strength My skin loves this! I’ve been using it for almost 10 years as recommended by my Dermotologist. FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Liquid Recovery The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I use it less now I used to use it twice a day, but now I use it 4 times a week at night only (mainly when I’m not using tretinoin) FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Other products I use to maintain acne: The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution Twice a week Sunday and Thursday. I love this stuff GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Mask I use this mask when I have stubborn pimples that won’t go away or when I feel my skin needs a deeper clean. I use masks Saturday’s and middle of the week depending on how my skin feels and looks. HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell Use this to spot treat a pimple along with patchology - Breakout Box Blemish Treatment depend on which I have. I love seeing all the gunk the morning after! Tretinoin 0.0025% Mon,Wed,Fri and will work up to nightly! This is my solid routine that my skin has been loving!! I’m so happy to see where my skin is a month from now.

pre makeup moisturizers
my pre makeup moisturizers love picking one of these before putting on makeup depending on what my skin needs that day - my holy grail is the @origins matte moisturizer helps so much to keep my oils at bay - when my skin needs some moisture I love the @milkmakeup and the @ctilburymakeup moisturizers - for a glow the @glamglow is bomb.com - And the @tatcha @clarinsofficial and @firstaidbeauty moisturizers are more of a gel base which are so light weight and perf for my oily skin
Glow baby, glow!
I received this in my play box last month and have utilized it since to see what I truly think. I'm actually not a huge Glamglow fan, but was intrigued by the beautiful highlighting pearls. It's meant to be moisturizing and illuminating and includes green tea, hyaluronic acids, jojoba oil, ceramides, and shea butter. I'm impressed with its illuminating effects and think it's a great base to wear underneath makeup. Granted I do prefer more moisture to my skin and I think it's just slightly too scented for me. The only qualms for me other than scent is that the full size is $50 and I don't think it's worth that much personally. If you're put off by scented moisturizers, this may not be for you. Otherwise, glow on baby!

Sensitive Skin During Seasonal Changes? GLAMGLOW Solves The Problem💖
This is the 2nd part of my reviews on Glamglow face mask. If you missed out the 1st part, click on my profile page and read it! lol Anyway, I have sensitive skin. I suffered so much during seasonal changes. Glamglow saved my life! So here comes the next two reviews. I really love GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Mask, which is more suitable for sensitive skin. It's the most watery cleansing mask I've ever used and it has ingredients similar to the Youthmud, both containing sea clay and green tea, but it's more gentle compared with Youthmud. Directions: Apply it on your T-zone for around 10 to 20 minutes! You'll soon feel the oil and dirt sucked out of your skin by the mask. It can truly improve the skin's water-oil balance and reduce acne and pimples when it's applied on acne-prone skin. GLAMGLOW - Gravitymud Firming Treatment Mask is the latest tightening mask in the market, and it offers quite a decent user experience! It has a gluey texture and is a beautiful sparkly silver color with metallic silver glitters. Directions: I love applying it on my eye bags, the apples of my cheeks and sometimes my forehead (GLAMGLOW also recommends using it on the neck to reduce neck lines). You can feel the mask tightening with a warming sensation after applying it for around one to two minutes. When the mask becomes fully dry after 10 to 20 minutes, you'll be left with tender and supple skin. That concludes my review on Glamglow. It is an amzing brand. I know it's quite expensive, but I personally think it worths the investment. If you have any thoughts, comment here!👇👇
I'd rather get/use coal than them...👎👎👎
GLAMGLOW face masks are really popular and I was lured into buying the GLAMGLOW face mask set to try the products and see which suits me the most. So, it's really necessary to try mini size before you buy full size. 😨😨😨 GLAMGLOW - SUPERMUD Clearing Treatment Mask is more delicate and spreads more easily compared with the Youthmud mask, but it's very stiff after it dries up and it feels as if all the water was absorbed from my skin. I would say it absorbs oil well but it only cleanses moderately and can be easily replaced with a normal cleanser. GLAMGLOW - YOUTHMUD Tinglexfoliate Treatment Mask has big particles, so it doesn't spread easily and is hard to wash off. It irritates more than the Supermud mask so if you really insist on buying a GLAMGLOW face mask, get the Supermud one as it spreads more easily and gives the same results. GLAMGLOW - THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment Mask is moisturizing, hydrating and cooling when applied. It's my favorite among all GLAMGLOW masks. It has a pleasant scent and blends well with my foundation but it also weakens my foundation's coverage, so it's more suitable when you're having a great skin day. It also evens out skin tone and brightens skin complexion. GLAMGLOW - Gravitymud Firming Treatment Mask is my least favorite among all. The silver mask looks magical but it's actually useless. It doesn't show any results in hydrating, moisturizing or anti-aging. AHAVA - Purifying Mud Mask is a cleansing mask I love using recently. It is gentle and has a light-green creamy texture which spreads easily. It can also be easily washed off without leaving your skin feeling dry. What's your fav and meh face mask? My recent samples: 😍😐😣
Today I received my free sample of the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair and I'm so excited that I decided to a premature post about my recent samples.. The good 😍, the bad 😣 and the meh 😐. Premature because I haven't had the chance to try them all yet so there'll be a part 2 of this post! 😁 My review of the ones I tried is as follows: MOROCCANOIL - Moroccanoil Treatment IT'S AMAZING. So I'm very careful of my hair and never subject it to any treatments. I never used serums until I was 23 (bc my hair was almost 4ft long by then). The only one I trust to use is the one I get from India every year. Two bottles (I don't use it very often) for the whole year. When I didn't get to stock up, I looked elsewhere and honestly, I almost never like any hair serums. I've tried Matrix, The Honest Company, Infusium, OGX and idk what else. But this one is so good. It's almost the same as the one I buy back in India with an equally pleasant smell. And it makes my hair silky smooth. All in all, 5 stars OLE HENRIKSEN - C-Rush Vitamin C Gel Moisturizer The second product I loved! I can't find a better word to describe the cream than "fresh". Every time I apply it, it feels so fresh on my skin, I love that 😍 Plus it has a very faint yet divine smell. It's a sample and I don't have too many fine lines so I can't comment on the anti-aging claims of this cream. But either way, I'm definitely buying this creme sometime next year when I run out of my current creams. FARMACY - Daily Greens Oil-Free Gel Moisturizer with Moringa and Papaya This one's the meh. It's not a bad cream but it's not great either. I have drier skin and even a little bit feels too heavy and oily on my face. Plus the smell isn't something I enjoyed. BIOSSANCE - Squalane+ Rose Vegan Lip Balm This is the second meh product. Honestly, of the few brands that I really get excited about, biossance is one of them and I can't wait to try their whole line - but this lip balm doesn't do wonders. I use Aquaphor and Vaseline and they work better than this. I do like the really cute bottle though. The texture is similar to Vaseline but with a rose scent. I still use it, but for overnight use I still reach for Vaseline. GLAMGLOW - BRIGHTEYES Illuminating Anti-Fatigue Eye Cream CLINIQUE - Pep-Start Eye Cream I'm clumping these two together because neither of these worked. The texture of both is not too bad, sometimes even quite pleasant. But if I were to pick one skincare concern for me, it'd be dark circles. And these didn't help. Wish they did but nope. I'm currently trying a couple of others and if they work, I'll post about them soon :) TATCHA - Luminous Dewy Skin Mist I've realized that I'm just not a fan of face mists. I'm too paranoid they'll blind me or something. Plus this one smells strong when it hits the face, thereby doubling my paranoia. So I'd rather not use it and I'll refrain from rating as well.
My fall skincare routine! 🍁🍂✨
Summer’s over and here comes fall! Drier and cooler weather means my skin will get more dehydrated and I’ll need a different skincare to keep it healthy. During this time I like to use brightening serums to get rid of my small dark spots that have appeared during summer/being out in the sun all the time. My face definitely feels the cool air and I need more moisturizer to keep it soft and not dry. I love starting off with my kiehls ultra facial cleanser. This never fails. It never strips my skin, it removes all the makeup I’ve been wearing and if I’m bare faced it doesn’t remove my natural oils. It’s a liquidy gel consistency and has a small cleansing scent. This is one I always recommend to people. Kiehl's - Ultra Facial Cleanser I follow with the Sunday Riley ceo vitamin c brightening serum. I started with a sample I received in my Sephora order and fell in love with it. On my forehead I had a small sun spot and over time this helped fade it out. I was incredibly impressed! This didn’t dry out my skin, it actually gave my skin moisture. The texture is more of a liquidy moisturizer. It has a faint citrus 🍊 smell that I love. It also didn’t cause a reaction on my sensitive skin! SUNDAY RILEY - CEO 15% Vitamin C Brightening Serum After I apply moisturizer on. This elf holy hydration cream is one that I’ve been loving a lot this year. It’s one I keep rebuying, this is my third purchase! Super soft and lightweight. This kinda melts into your skin a bit. This feels amazing on my really oily forehead and dry cheeks. e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream Next is eye cream. I’m currently using the glamglow bright eyes illuminating anti-fatigue eye cream. This is an ok product. I got this in a Ipsy bag. It’s a little thick, which most eye creams are, and it feels nice. It moisturizes my under eyes really well but I don’t see the “anti-fatigue” affect. Nothing wrong with this product but I’ve seen similar or better results with more affordable ones. I wouldn’t repurchase this. Tip✨ use eye cream to apply on your upper lip. That skin is also fairly prone to wrinkles as well so might as well use the cream to help prevent. GLAMGLOW - BRIGHTEYES Illuminating Anti-Fatigue Eye Cream On days that my skin is extra dry or I want some radiance I use the drunk elephant f-balm electrolyte water facial cream/mask. I try to prevent my skin getting too dehydrated by using this every other day. This is a lightweight product but omg this has incredibly hydrated my face a lot. It has small little beads that melt on skin contact. This doesn’t have a smell which is great. DRUNK ELEPHANT - F-Balm Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask Don’t forget about lips! I’m currently finishing up my fresh sugar lemon 🍋 lip balm. It hydrate my lips nicely. It’s not one of those sticky balms, it glides on and doesn’t dry out fast. fresh - Sugar Lemon Hydrating Lip Balm

GlamGlow Boxycharm SCORE! 🥴
I’ve posted past reviews of some items that I have received in my boxycharm subscription box. I am excited to post this one because it was a real score imo. Usually I will use my CeraVe moisturizer but when I saw this GLAMGLOW - MOISTURETRIP Omega-Rich Face Moisturizer in my boxy, I had to try it out. I am pleased to say that this moisturizer is wonderful! My only problem? The price tag. I find that my CeraVe moisturizer works just as well as this one for half the price. If you are one who does not need to focus on the price tag, then of course you can opt for this little guy. But for me? I can’t afford $70 to give my skin a moisture boost. Anyways, the product applies nicely, not greasy and doesn’t sit on top of your skin in a slimy gross layer. It absorbs right in and makes your skin feel nice and soft. A little of this product goes a long way! A bit of a scent, but not an unpleasant one and not too strong. Overall I give this product 5/5 ⭐️’s (I didn’t let the price tag affect my review). #CherieCreator
What am I missing? Blackhead/large pores
PM Routine TULA SKINCARE - Kefir Replenishing Cleansing Oil This cleansing oil works really good to melt all the makeup off your face, I love it so far! TULA SKINCARE - The Cult Classic Purifying Face Cleanser This has been my favorite so far. Very gentle. Little to no scent. My face feels very clean after using it. TULA SKINCARE - Deep Exfoliating Blackhead Scrub I use this no more then 2 times a week bc it is fairly harsh. I do see a difference in the morning after using it. I’ve only been using for about a month now so I’m not 100% sold on it. I haven’t seen “long term” results from it just yet. The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution touch in SOL - No Poreblem Prime Essence Not pictured but recently started using it this past week. It’s only been a week but I do see a slight difference in my pores. Time will tell! FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum Love this so far. When I wake up my face is glowing GLAMGLOW - MOISTURETRIP Omega-Rich Face Moisturizer This is a favorite. It’s extremely moisturizing! Even though this works very well I do plan on changing to the farmacys oil free moisturizer since I have oily skin. AM Routine The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I don’t cleanse in the morning bc it’s very drying to my skin. I use some toner to “clean my skin” however someone recommended Sephora’s glow pads which i was thinking about switching to for AM. CLEAN SKIN CLUB - Vitamin C Brightening Booster I haven’t used many vitamin C’s but I do have to say this has by far been my favorite. It’s very moisturing and not to oily. KYPRIS - ANTIOXIDANT DEW Every now and then to switch it up I’ll use this instead of the vitamin C listed above. It works well just a little bit watery. GLAMGLOW - MOISTURETRIP Omega-Rich Face Moisturizer Ending with my moisturizer Since starting my skincare routine my face has cleared up a ton and has more of a glow then ever before. I didn’t have bad acne but I had at least a few “zits/bumps” on my face at a time. Now I rarely have 1-2 which I’m thankful for. BUT it has NOT helped with clearing out my blackheads and minimizing my pores in my T zone. What am I missing? What should I take out or add in? Someone recommended the ordinary’s chemical peel and niacinamide 10%+ zinc 1%. Is this what I need to step up my skincare routine? Please help!

This Mask Duo Will Have You Singing
CLARISMA - Namaste Glow Energizing Face Mask This mask is a deep drown, almost black. Unlike many a clarifying mask it has a creamy consistency probably because of the kokum butter. The mask also contains Pineapple enzyme and monoi oil. It comes with a brush but I prefer to apply with my fingers. It spreads pretty thinly so you have to use a decent amount but you get 3 1/3 oz for 25 dollars so it isn’t so bad. It tingles a bit, similar to the sensation of having a peppermint candy on your tongue but it doesn’t burn or sting. I leave it on for 10-12 minutes. Then I use GLAMGLOW - THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment Mask which I spread in a thin layer on my face, as if it were a moisturizer. It smells like caramel (which I hate) and it does tingle uncomfortably for about a minute. However, it feels so good on my skin that I can deal with the smell. I then apply my regular moisturizer (innisfree - Olive Real Power Cream Ex. ) and go to bed. When I wake up, my skin is glowing and I even notice some fading of acne scars. I have dry/combo skin that is very sensitive. My main issues with my skin are dullness and redness from old acne scars.
Does Glamglow Worth the Hype? 💖💖💖
I always suffer from allergies during seasonal changes, which is when my cheeks will dry up and crack. My friend told me Glamglow products saved her skin when it was unstable. I thought thse face masks might be helpful to me as well. So I decided to give it a try. I bought 4 to see which one suits me the best and the review is too long so I divide it into 2 parts. I hope it'd be helpful if you are also interested in the products. GLAMGLOW - THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment Mask Directions: I normally apply it on my cheeks and adjust the usage according to my skin condition, applying a thin layer for around 10 to 20 minutes. Then I wash it off and apply a lotion to complete my skincare routine. It has a lightweight texture and a refreshing honey, oatmeal, and coconut milk scent! It spreads easily, neither tightening nor leaving my skin dry. It's also quite transparent when applied on the skin, so it can be used as a sleeping mask. GLAMGLOW - YOUTHMUD Tinglexfoliate Treatment Maskis a cleansing mask! It focuses on exfoliating, brightening, and skin rejuvenation. It's advertised as a "glowing mask", so those with more tolerant skin can buy and use it as a cleansing mask. It contains exfoliating particles and tea leaves and stems, giving it a rich smell of green tea! Tea leaves help to purify skin, even out skin tone, and brighten skin complexion, lightening acne scars, dark spots, and dull corners. Its ingredients include volcano rock and sea clay, so it cleanses really well. Directions: I have sensitive skin, so I only use this cleansing mask on my T-zone but it's so strong that it even irritates my T-zone a little, so I recommend those with acne-prone skin to apply it only on sprouting acne or after acne clear treatment. After using it for two days, acne will dry up and shed then heal easily. This is the part I of this review. I will write about the other two Glamglow face masks soon. Stay tuned! If you have used Glamglow masks before, tell me your experience! 🙌🙌

Favorite Masks and textures for Maskne
I love textures.... I believe textures and feel of skincare product matter equally when it comes to using a product consistently. If you don't enjoy some textures and feel of one product you wouldn't use it for long time, leading it to not giving you any visible changes to skin. These are some of my favorite textures and masks /moisturizers for keeping Mask Acne (Maskne) at Bay! These are mostly pore refining, oil reducing and probiotic enriched products that will help your skin prevent acne caused by masks! Although, there's one ingredient missing in these is Salicylic acid (BHA) . Add BHA in your routine for clearing out congested pores and breakouts. Do’s and don’ts: large pores
Skin type: combination. Skin concerns: large pores. The pores correspond to the opening of the hair follicles on the surface of the skin. The hair follicle resembles a canal, which contains facial hair and is connected to the sebaceous glands (sebum producers). It is common to see large pores on acne and/or oily skin. Pore size is closely related to genetic 🧬, hormonal, and environmental factors. Over the years, the pores increase in diameter due to the loss of firmness of the skin. The products that I have used to improve the appearance of the pores are retinol (at night) and vitamin C (in the morning and at night after retinol) I also try to exfoliate my skin 1-2 times a week and use masks that help clean the pores or hydrate the skin once a week, in addition to using sunscreen (I apply it every 4 hours). Do’s: 👍🏻 Wash your face twice a day with water and soap 🧼 (depending on your skin type). 👍🏻 Exfoliate and use astringent masks 1-2 times a week. 👍🏻 Creams with vitamin A derivatives (retinoids) decrease sebum production, accelerate cell turnover and tighten the skin. 👍🏻 Use “non-comedogenic” products 🧴. 👍🏻 Vitamin C 🍊aids collagen and elastin production and brightens the appearance of skin. Don’ts: 👎🏻 Washing your face too often causes you to produce more oil, enlarged pores and more breakouts may appear. 👎🏻 Don’t expose yourself much to the sun ☀️, sun damage makes your pores appear larger and contributes to the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. 👎🏻 Air pollution and smoke 🚬 accelerate the aging process of the skin 👵🏻. 👎🏻 Exfoliating more than you should weekly can lead to increased sebum production and make your pores appear larger.

are sheet masks worth it?
Karuna - Revivify+ Face Mask patchology - Moodmask ''The Good Fight'' Clear Skin Sheet Mask GLAMGLOW - BUBBLESHEET Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask GO-TO - Transformazing Sheet Masks sheet masks! are they worth the $$? do they work? are they necessary? let’s get into it 🤪🤪 what are sheet masks? sheet masks are fabrics for that face that have a lot of serums in them that soak into the skin with each use! sheet masks vary with ingredients for different face and skin problems so finding what you need for your skin is very important in a sheet mask! benefits of sheet masks benefits of sheet masks depend on what ingredients are in the specific sheet mask that you are using. results could be brightening, hydration, firming. unlike face masks that you rinse off, sheet masks are not dehydrating at all to the skin and since you don’t rinse off the serum after taking the sheet mask off, it leave you GLOWING! do they work? it really depends, so yes and no! it depends on what you are wanting to get out of your experience with sheet masks. if you are looking for hydration and radiance, then yes! you will see instant results with this, but it quite potentially will be short term results. sheet masks are a be all end all and are just a self care spa day for yourself! do you need sheet masks in your routine? not at all! sheet masks are often known as a little extra aspect to your skincare routine that are not necessary! they are fun to use and make yourself feel pampered in your own house. for example, if you want extra hydration with using hyaluronic acid, you could just purchase this serum on its own, rather than just using a one time sheet mask with this ingredient in it! I personally love sheet masks when I want a nice self care day as they are fun to use and are something different in my skincare routine! I especially love using them after drying masks such as the AZTEC SECRET - Indian Healing Clay as after this mask, I need all the hydration I can get!
Squeaky Clean 🧼 but not pleased
This mask is soooo bubbly. Which is exactly what I was hoping for... but I’m still not in love. You might say it was a ‘be careful what you wish for’ situation. First off one small disclaimer ❌: It produced so many bubbles that the suds actually ran down into my eyes 🙈 But my face does feel very clean and decongested ☺️ I only gave it 3 stars because I had a couple issues with the execution and the results just weren’t great enough for me to want to repurchase. I love sheet masks but a lot of them are expensive for something that only gives you a single use!!! So I’m pretty picky with how I feel about something I have to pay $10 to use once 🤷♀️ I like the formula, it was clearing and soothing and did the job. However, I got suds in my eyes and all in my hair and I found having to rinse it all out of my hair and eyes to be a bit of an unpleasant nuisance for a style of mask that I’m drawn to due to the convenience! Maybe you can learn from my experience and actually enjoy it but I don’t plan on giving this another try GLAMGLOW - BUBBLESHEET Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask

A beautiful mistake
Do you ever look at all your skincare products and just obsess over the colors and textures?!? 🌈 I sure do 🙋♀️ BUT...I’ve learned quickly that while yes, this is one of my favorite pictures I’ve taken, I also made a BIG MISTAKE!! 🚫 I used to get so excited (well, still do) when a new product arrived in my possession that I opened it immediately. I wanted to see and feel the beauty inside, and get it on my face!!! Well, every single product has a little thing called an EXPIRATION DATE! In opening up a new jar I am literally setting a clock which is usually 6-12 months before I have to use it up. And when you have so many moisturizers or masks open there is no possible way to use them all up in that time frame. I’d have to be masking several times a day! 🤦♀️ Every product you receive will have TWO DATES: * The expiration date without opening the package & * The expiration of the product once it’s been opened —————— What I do now is: 1) show some SELF-CONTROL 😂 2) Date each package as it arrives - I take a black marker and date the box so I don’t forget how long it’s possibly been in my possession. This was usually the case when I was getting so many subscription boxes as there would be so many, let’s say cleansers, that were adding up that I knew it would be some time before getting to them. 3) Date the product when opened - I usually find a discreet place to mark the day I opened it as I will probably be photographing it several times and don’t want the date showing ————— This seems simple and obvious but I urge you to really pay attention to your expiration dates. I’ve already had some I’ve had to sideline as they’ve expired. Also cutting back on my purchases and cancelling my sub boxes has made a difference. It’s exciting getting new products but there can be a level of overabundance! I’m definitely trying to be more conscious of my ‘needs’ and not my ‘wants’. 😉 Do you spot any favorites? All products should be reviewed individually in previous posts but let me know if there is one you’d like to hear about. Peace and health to all ❤️my @cheriefamily 🍒😘 #CherieCreator
Take a peek inside my Skin Cabinets
Since my husband decided to use the guest bath I have claimed both cabinets....and all my products still don’t fit in them!! I’ll share my bathroom sink area in another post, along with my mini fridge and backup shelf. My fingers are tired from tagging all the products right now 🙈 Let me know if there are any you’re curious about. I believe most products you can find already reviewed on my page. But if there is one not posted about, let me know and I’d be happy to share my thoughts with you. Some of my must haves are: Farmacy Beauty- Honeymoon Glow, Better Daze Ahead & Cheer Up Indie Lee - CO-Q10 Toner and & Brightening Wash Medik8- Crystal Retinal & HYDR8 + B5 Caudalie - Radiance Serum Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Sunscreen! Youth to The People - Superberry Mask, Energy Facial The Ordinary- Niacinamide & Hyaluronic & the Facial Peel Elemis - Suerfood Mask Many of these have been repurchases. If a product is sitting out on my counter or in my cabinets, I’m enjoying using them. I have baskets of products that didn’t work so well for me but I keep them for friends to try or to create fun texture art. It’s taken me at least an entire year to gain the collection I have. I had subscribed to many subscription boxes so a good majority of products came to me that way. I haven’t received PR in a long time and the few items I did receive were from some small companies. I don’t mind receiving PR/gifts I just am very picky about what I will use so sometimes the offers don’t jive with them. Let’s see your skincare cabinet ☺️ @CreateOnCherie @CheriePick

It's the Glam Glow Super Mud Clearing treatment mask, and it's one of my absolute favorites. I could feel a stress breakout coming on, and so I slathered this on and my face is clear. It's really my go-to for stopping breakouts in their tracks. Seriously. Now. Disclaimer. If you have sensitive skin, this ain't it chief. It will irritate your skin if it's not made of cowhide, like mine. I do notice that on the thinner parts of my face (forehead, jawline) there is some redness immediately after using this, but it goes away after I tone/serum/moisturize.

These two masks are my favorite hydrating masks because they sink right in, and they give a tingling, refreshing feeling when applied and even while its on your skin!! Really helps my skin look and feel plump! SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask GLAMGLOW - THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment Mask

“Clean by Sephora” Brands Can Still Be Damaging
Just because it’s organic, “natural”, or pretty, doesn’t make it good for you. Today I’m going to focus on two brands that consistently overprice their products that claim to be gentle but are, at base, sensitizing water that smells nice. I’d avoid them entirely, though there are honestly very few brands at Sephora that are worth the money. • Fresh: I jumped on this Insta-hyped brand a couple years ago. Most of their products are essentially just perfume with some skincare ingredients thrown in for INCI flavor. I’m normally not so harsh, but I get headaches from how fragrant their fresh - Vitamin C Glow Face Mask is. Same for the fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner , which dried out my skin terribly when my skin barrier started rioting against the volatile rose oil. Even if your skin doesn’t visibly react, fragrance and volatile plant oils oxidize, breaking down collagen beneath the surface, making this a brand (amongst many) that I’ll continue to avoid and recommend against when it comes to facial products. • Summer Fridays: Their scrub masks are, full stop, bad for skin. The scrub particles are abrasive and not uniform in size, increasing the likelihood to end up with irritated skin rather than a smooth glow. As well, they’re highly fragranced (see my above beef with fragrance), to the point that I use my leftover SUMMER FRIDAYS - R + R Mask as a foot scrub whenever I want to feel bougie. Damage on the surface AND collagen? Not worth $50. SUMMER FRIDAYS - Jet Lag Mask uses orange peel oil, another volatile essential oil, but has the added flaw of featuring peppermint oil, which contains sensitizing, skin-irritating menthol. There are other brands (some of their products included in this “Things That Didn’t Work For Me” photo) that utilize collagen-damaging fragrance and essential oils, but I find these two so often praised on Instagram that I can’t help but wonder if people look at the ingredient lists. I know some love these brands and that’s fine- but there are so many better, more affordable brands with clinically-researched ingredients and no unnecessary irritants.

GLAMGLOW Glowstarter ✨
My first impression of this product was that I really enjoyed the scent. It's not too extreme, just a fresh, clean fragrance. It applied really well and it doesn't leave my skin feeling heavy or weighed down. It creates a really nice smooth sheen, evening out my skin tone. I wouldn't say it held my makeup in place for any longer than usual, but it was a good base. I like to wear it alone when I don't feel like doing a whole makeup look. GlamGlow BERRYGLOW 3/5 ⭐️’s
GLAMGLOW - Berryglow Probiotic Recovery Face Mask I received this mask in my BoxyCharm this month and was really excited because I loved the last Mask I tried (charcoal). I’m still not really sure how I feel about this one. I do love how it made my skin feel afterwards, but at the same time I wasn’t thrilled having it on my face. It burned slightly and made my eyes water which was uncomfortable to say the least. The texture is really nice and so is the smell. Application is smooth, not messy. My skin felt cool and smooth afterwards. With this mask you can tissue off and rub in the excess, or you can rinse off and pat dry. I opted to tissue off. Overall I chose to give the product 3/5 stars. It lost 2 stars for the slight burning sensation on my skin and making my eyes water. The 3 stars are for how nice my skin felt after, the texture and the packaging! Did this make anyone else’s skin/eyes uncomfortable? Tell me below! 👇
