Will I purchase TATCHA primer full size?
TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer -$52 (0.7oz) I’ve always had to use primers due to my combination skin. I have dryness on my cheeks, along with oily nose and forehead and pores. This primer from Tatcha has really helped me resolve my issues. It helps hide my pores extremely well. I can use this whether I have on a full face of make up or if I’m just wearing primer with a little bit of foundation. Either way it gets the job done. I’ve also noticed that this primer really helps protect my skin from the makeup. This primer is very smooth, which makes it extremely satisfying to apply to my face. The primer also makes my skin feel less oily, which makes it easier to apply on my make up. My face is extremely acne prone due to the oiliness of my skin, so this primer does a great job at protecting me from that. I’ve tried various different primer samples, and non have compared to this one. I purchased the full size as soon as I run out of my samples. The only thing is the price, at $52 a bottle, it can be a little pricey. The good thing is that it lasts awhile, so you are not buying a new bottle every other week.

Primer dupes ✨
These primers are practically identical 😮 The nice thing here is that you can get the same Tatcha silk canvas results for just $8 buying the one from e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer, Universal Sheer, 0.74 oz (21 g) The truth is that both products last a long time since you require a small amount. I think I would really continue to buy Tatcha's ($52), I am very visual and I love the packaging and that it comes with a spatula 😬 and I rarely wear makeup, so this products last me forever. Something that I found interesting is that TATCHA - The Silk Canvas Protective Primer recommend using it with or without makeup 😱 However, both products give the same long-lasting makeup effect and blur the pores, so I think both are fine and it will depend on how much you want to invest in a primer.

Battle of the water creams
As an oily person, I am forever looking for moisturizers that will mitigate my skin’s desire to leave me looking like a greased chicken within an hour of putting makeup. The key to reducing my skin’s predilection to overproduce is to feed it with moisture with my morning routine. The healthier my skin is the easier my acne scars will fade and hopefully be just a distant memory. That led me to purchasing a belif skin care set mid-2019. In the set was the belif - The true cream Aqua Bomb , belif - Eye Bomb gwpand belif - Hungarian Water Essence. Let’s focus on the Aqua Bomb for now and compare it to a new frenemy later. 💦 belif - The true cream Aqua Bomb is a lightweight, gel moisturizer that is supposed to hydrate your skin without feel heavy. It has three main ingredients: lady’s mantle to nurture your skin, ceramide 3 to help your skin retain water and glycerin to maintain moisture levels. It comes in three sizes, costing from $22 to $62. (The 1.68 oz./50mL tends to be the one that is included in kits. It costs $38 sold separately.) MY THOUGHTS: This is one of my favorite summertime moisturizers. You can layer it over or under anything and it WILL NOT PILL. 🙏🏾 I finished it within a year and now I am trying to get through my other moisturizers so I won’t be repurchasing this any time soon. (I may try the belif - The True Cream Moisturizing Bombbecause it is supposed to be aces at restoring the health of your skin’s barrier.) For: Dry, normal, combination and oily skin. Clean at Sephora? ✔️ Recommend? Yes. 🌵 boscia - Cactus Water Moisturizer was boscia’s response time the TATCHA - The Water Cream, PETER THOMAS ROTH - Travel Size Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream and belif’s Aqua Bomb. It launched mid-2018 and I received it in a bountiful Sephora set, Skin Wonderland. It is a fast-absorbing gel that hydrated while helping combat the loss of elasticity and firmness. MY THOUGHTS: I dislike this product so much. It doesn’t layer well with a lot of products. It just wants to pill and separate. It leaves residue that resembles the peels of FREEMAN - Feeling Beautiful, Renewing Peel-Off Gel Mask, Cucumber. Not exactly what you want look like after using a $38 product. (I included a photo of what happened after I rubbed my face with it on.) For: Normal, combination and oily skin. Clean at Sephora? ✔️ Recommend? No.

The BEST Skincare Routine for College Students!!
This is my morning skincare routine! I don’t usually wear makeup to class, so I love for my skincare to make me look as radiant and glowy as possible. I have pretty normal skin that does get a little dry sometimes, especially in the winter. My main goals I want to achieve in my routine are hydration and GLOW. When I wake up for my 8 AM (usually around 6:30 AM), I start by swiping Thayer’s rosewater toner all over my face. Side note, I highly recommend investing in some reusable cotton rounds. You can get them on Amazon! Super easy to use and wash, and they work just as well as disposable cotton rounds. I find that this toner really helps wake me up and makes my skin feel refreshed. While I wait for this to soak in, I apply my Inkey List caffeine eye cream. I absolutely love this cream because it has a cool metal tip applicator which feels amazing on my puffy eyes in the morning. The cream itself is an iridescent white color, which helps brighten the undereye area better than any other product I’ve used. After this step, I apply my Ole Henriksen Truth Serum. I have tried many Vitamin C and antioxidant serums, and this one is by far my favorite. It is not sticky at all and absorbs very quickly into my skin. I never have any issues with layering it with other skincare. Then I apply my Tatcha Water Cream moisturizer! I believe that it is totally worth the hype. It goes on so light, yet leaves my skin actually looking so dewy and glowy! I finish off with some kind of facial spray. The one I currently have is Grace & Stella Rosewater Spray. Honestly I’m not actually sure if facial sprays/mists have any real effect on my skin, but it feels refreshing and gives my skincare routine a nice ending!!THAYERS - Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel Facial Toner THE inkey LIST - Brighten-i Eye Cream TATCHA - The Water Cream grace & stella - rose water facial mist

Dewy Skin Cream ❌ Overhyped
I think Tatcha is a really luxurious brand but they are also really hyped up because of packaging and the community. I am not a fan of this dewy skin cream. The texture of the product in the photo I posted is misleading because the product actually dried up from lack of use. It was normally a creamy texture with a beautiful purple color. So slightly ignore the texture photo! I did not like this product because of the dimethicone finish, that is a personal preference. Otherwise I think it was a decent moisturizer but certainly not worth the price point. 1.7oz for $68. You’d be better off getting a nice serum with good actives instead of wasting your money on a average moisturizer with pretty packaging and a pretty color. Overhyped for what it is. Would not recommend. Quoted via the sephora site: “What it is: A rich cream that feeds skin with plumping hydration and antioxidant-packed Japanese purple rice for a dewy, healthy glow. Skin Type: Normal and Dry Skincare Concerns: Dryness, Dullness and Uneven Texture, and Loss of Firmness and Elasticity Formulation: Rich Cream Highlighted Ingredients: - Japanese Purple Rice: Packed with nutrients and known for its ability to survive any harsh environment, it has long been used to celebrate longevity and vitality; rich in anthocyanin, a strong antioxidant, it helps skin recover from and protect against stress, pollution, and UV damage for healthier-looking skin. - Okinawa Algae Blend and Hyaluronic Acid: Captures water to help replenish skin’s natural moisture reservoir, immediately leaving skin soft, comforted, and deeply nourished; helps to replenish ceramides to ensure optimum skin barrier function, aiding in the reduction of future moisture loss, for skin that is visibly smooth and plump with hydration. - Botanical Extracts: From ginseng, wild thyme, and sweet marjoram; nourishes skin, enhancing its natural ability to retain and release moisture as needed, and imparts a dewy glow.” TATCHA - The Dewy Skin Cream

Tatcha Review
The Water Cream I was debating for the longest time whether this cream would be suitable for my combo to dry skin because I thought it would not be hydrating enough. However, it turned it out to be the perfect summer/day cream. My skin didn’t feel tight or dry by the end of the day. It is more hydrating than Krave’s OSSWC. The consistency is lightweight and on the more liquidity side. It is fast absorbing and spreads effortlessly. When it comes into contact with skin, it feels like an instant boost of hydration. It gives you this fresh, cooling and soothing type of feel. Never left any sticky/tacky feeling and blends well under other skincare and makeup. The Silk Cream [My Top Pick🏅] It is a gel cream but the consistency is more on the rich side but still lightweight. Soft to apply but it does take some time to fully absorb. It forms a silk-veil which helps locks in all the moisture and provides long lasting hydration. However, still breathable and feels very comfortable on the skin. I always wake up to smooth, radiant and healthy skin. I also noticed my dry patches disappeared overnight. My overall skin texture and complexion have improved drastically. I was able to simplify my routine to 3 steps because it is the perfect all rounder cream so, I don’t need to focus on layering many products. The Dewy Skin At first I thought this would be more hydrating than the water cream. But, it actually lacks hydration. The cream sat on the surface so, my skin felt tight afterwards. The consistency is creamy, smooth and airy. It does leave a thin film therefore, giving you that dewy gThe Water Cream I was debating for the longest time whether this cream would be suitable for my combo to dry skin because I thought it would not be hydrating enough. Mini Reviews 💚
These are the products I’ve been using this week ✨ @summerfridays Cleanser. I am not sure about this product yet. Not a big fan of the scent. Still testing and will share my thoughts in a few weeks. 🤐. @purito_official Centella Green Level Unscented Sun is zero whitecast and my current fave 💚. @theinkeylist Hyaluronic Acid Serum sold at an amazing price and can be used together with other serums. Still testing 🤐 @tatcha The deep cleanser has Japanese Luffa fruit. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and really clean! 💚My only issue is the bottle sometimes you cannot control how much you get out.🙈 @tatcha The rice polish: deep is ideal for combination to oily skin. This exfoliant has Japanese Rice Bran and papaya enzymes. It exfoliates my skin without irritating. It is really gentle and I love to use it twice a week in the shower 🚿🧖🏼‍♀️

Ingredient spotlight: rice powder
Tatcha’s rice polish is a newer product to me, but one I’ve really been liking lately. I think it’s a great alternative to harsher physical scrubs because honestly, this does not feel abrasive at all. The key ingredient ground rice bran, which as you can see from the photo results in a fine powder. You pour a little bit into the palm of your hand and mix with a few drops of water, and it somehow transforms into a creamy foam that feels heavenly on the skin. It also has enzymes that provide mild chemical exfoliation. It claims to prep skin for makeup and reduce fine line and hyperpigmentation. This product feels very luxurious to use, but I don’t think I’ve seen any dramatic results from it. It does make my face feel very soft, but I haven’t noticed any change to my hyperpigmentation. I think it’s a really neat product as I had never used a powder-to-foam exfoliant before, and I don’t know if any other products that use rice bran in this way. This product is $65 for just over 2oz. You do only need a tiny bit for each use, and if you use it a few times a week, this tub should last a long time. However, I don’t think I’ll be repurchasing because at that price point, I’d like to see some more noticeable change in my hyperpigmentation.

Clean Beauty 💦
Only within the last year, have I really began to broaden my horizons when it comes to clean beauty. I’ve always had products from Origins and Boscia in my rotation but never realized that they are considered clean. Since then, Drunk Elephant, Youth To The People, The Glow Recipe, Farmacy and Tatcha have slowly crept into my collection! One thing all these brands have in common, besides being clean, is they all are fragrance free or have minimal fragrance, with the exception of The Glow Recipe. Clean Beauty is defined by products that are mindfully created and produced without any proven or suspected toxic ingredients. Clean Beauty products include ingredients ethically sourced and are made with the health of our bodies and the environment in mind. The skincare industry has come so far, so I think it is super important to consider making the switch! Honestly, I don’t think that I’ll ever have a completely clean collection but it doesn’t hurt to try!

Morning skincare routine ☀️
As a person who deals with both hormonal acne and eczema, finding skincare products that don’t disrupt my skin’s natural barrier is a delicate balance. These skincare products have consistently kept my skin in check. My face looks softened and dewy (but not oily)! Because my skin changes day to day, I adjust this routine based on my skin’s needs but otherwise this is usually my go-to morning routine. Hope you spotted a product you like too! Also, let me know if you have any skincare recommendations! I’m always willing to try new things! 😄

I love the Tati palette, the glitters are second to none on how well they transfer from finger to eye lid. Magnetic lashes are too heavy.

Honestly, between my Tatcha essence and my Caudalie daily moisturizer.. I cant decide which ones I cant remove from my daily routine... I mean maybe the Violet C serum is replaceable as its not a beloved fave of mine, but everything else I think would be essentials for me.

Overhyped beauty product
Overhyped beauty product
The product I feel is overhyped is the Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. I’m am guessing many of you disagree but for me it was a waste of money. This spray cost $48 you get 1.35fl oz(40ml). I cannot even describe my disappointment when it was delivered from Sephora. Not to mention I really didn’t like how it performed on my skin. This spray didn’t even last me a month. It was before I knew it. Truthfully the amount of product you get should reminds of a sample size I would get in Ipsy glambag. Trust me I will never buy this again. Diary of an oily, dehydrated mess
Diary of an oily, dehydrated mess
Lately, I have been sticking to a pretty consistent routine and I wanted to take a second to share with you the first THREE products I use in the morning. (Active serums are just too specific maybe I’ll share them later.) Disclaimer: I have oily, dehydrated skin so I try to feed my skin and avoid stripping it. These three products complement each other well for my morning routine. I have been doing this particular routine for about a 6 months now, but I do rotate different products in and out as I see fit. I follow a lot of YouTubers and they recommend the first two products so much that I had to try them MY MORNING ROUTINE (first three products only) 1️⃣ TATCHA - The Deep Cleanse Exfoliating Cleanser is an oil-free, gel-based cleanser that is supposed to clean your skin, but not strip it. TDC is the recommended for dry, normal, combination and oily skin. (It can be used daily — morning and night.) It is a product I use mostly in the mornings. It is really gentle and would not be my first choice to remove makeup — even after using it after an oil cleanser. It is not a cleanser that you should expect to have standard suds so be aware of that. Specs: • 1.7 oz. for $16 • 5 oz. for $38 2️⃣ fresh - Rose Deep Hydration Toner is a daily toner that has real rose petals and hyaluronic acid in it to hydrate your skin while minimizing pores. It is for dry, normal, combination and oily skin. It has an orange hue and is pretty liquidy. It comes in two different sizes. (Pro-tip: Look for it in Sephora or Fresh sets if you are unsure.) It has rose extracts, rose oil, rose water and rose petals in it. If you are sensitive to any of those this probably isn’t the product for you. Specs: • 3.3 oz. for $25 • 8.4 oz. for $45 3️⃣ HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion is hyaluronic acid “lotion” that has five types of HAs and urea “to lock in moisturize and keep skin thoroughly hydrated longer.” It also helps balance your pH. It is slightly thicker than other hyaluronic acids that I have used. It layers really well and doesn’t cause other products to pill like the newly reformulated The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. Best for dry, dehydrated skin. Specs: 5 oz./170 mL for $14.40 on Amazon
