Is it a dupe? Battle of the Kale Cleansers!!
Sooooo everyone and their mother has a YTTP Superfood Cleanser review on here, so I’ll keep mine short. It’s expensive, it’s sustainable (they finally made the refill bottle permanent in their collection 😏) and it works. It leaves my skin feeling clean, not dry, and just all around healthy. Worth the money ($36 for an 8 oz bottle, which can last you awhile). 5/5⭐️ Now, the Pacifica Kale Detox cleanser has always been there for me, even before I had a skincare routine, or even knew that skincare could help my oily, acne prone, hormonal young adult skin. Back when $10 was a lot to spend on a face wash, back when I slept in my makeup-I know, I know! We all did stupid things when we were a kid!! Leave me alone! Anyway, this is a foaming gel cleanser, and it’s $10 for 5 oz. It claims that it is for oily and acne prone skin types, so it foams up quite a bit and a little goes a long way. I wouldn’t recommend this cleanser to anyone with even slightly dry skin, as it can be quite stripping and drying. I recently bought it about 8 months ago to see if it was a dupe for the YTTP Superfood Cleanser (which I loved but couldn’t justify spending a lot on skincare at the time) and I instantly noticed how drying it was. The fragrance is also slightly stronger, and smells more artificial as opposed to the natural “leafy greens” smell of the YTTP. However, with a soothing toner and hydrating mist, someone with skin like mine could make it work in my opinion. Sustainability: Nowhere near as sustainable as the YTTP, but the bottle is made from 50% recycled plastic. If that even counts. 4/5⭐️ For sentimental value. SUMMARY: Is it a similar product in theory? Yes. Is it a dupe? No. But, if you’re tight on cash, and really can’t dish out $36 on a cleanser, AND you have oily skin AND you have other hydrating products to put moisture back in to your skin after cleansing, this product could work for you. If you have the money for the YTTP cleanser, I would recommend that one because it isn’t stripping at all and they’re spot on with sustainability and ingredients. It is well worth the money, since according to dermatologists, cleansing is the most damaging part of our skincare routines.

AM⛅️ pixi - Vitamin-C Tonic PACIfICA - Glow Baby Super Lit Booster Serum pixi - Vitamin Wakeup Mist LA ROCHE-POSAY - HYDRAPHASE UV SPF 30 (trying to find a cruelty-free version, i just chucked the pixi phenomenal gel in there for the picture) #Skin Academy - Zero Eye Cream[products]#[FiveStars] PM🌜 THE inkey LIST - Glycolic Acid Exfoliating Toner (every other night) PACIfICA - Water Bounce Moisture Shot Booster Serum #Skin Academy - Zero Eye Cream[products]#[FiveStars] e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! It’s a no for me 🤧👎🏼
I was browsing around target one day looking for a new vitamin C serum. I just randomly spotted this one and thought I would give it a try. I’m at the stage in my skin care journey where I’m just trying a bunch of products to filter out what will be my staples or not. Anyways here are my pros and cons from this product: PROS The packaging is really cute which initially drew me to it. it smells really good! (Which is also a con). However my skin isn’t sensitive to fragrance so I enjoy the fragrances in my products and this one smelled really citrusy and nice. CONS There was no visible difference or benefit for my skin. In other vitamin C serums I’ve used I’ve been able to notice it’s effects but not this one. As much as I like the smell, I know that is a deal breaker for many. So be warned this product is very fragrant. The serum itself doesn’t feel clean. Meaning that it almost feels sugary or sweet and that I shouldn’t be putting it on my face. Overall I didn’t have a terrible experience with this product, however I will not be repurchasing it. PACIfICA - Glow Baby Super Lit Booster Serum

I'm inlove ❤
Pacifica is a brand that I recently discovered and became intrigued to try out. I settled on this serum and wow, it did not disappoint. PACIfICA - Pore Warrior Oil Fighter Booster Serum I'm not going to say this is a dupe for The Ordinary or The Inkey List, however since they both seem to be sold out all the time I would recommend that you give this one a shot. It's got a fairly short ingredient list and it includes the magical niacinamide and glycerin at the top, followed by raspberry and black currant leaf extract. I can't say enough good things about this serum. It's extremely lightweight and does not cause any pilling with my moisturizer or makeup. It regulated my sebum production without causing me any dehydration and also hydrated my skin. The only small con is that it does contain a faint fragrance and a slightly sticky feeling, but that disappears after you apply a moisturizer. I will be repurchasing this in the future and would recommend this for my oily/combination/sensitive skin friends.

My daily skincare routine :) In the mornings, I also use LUMENE - Nordic-C Glow Boost Essence Serum 30ml but I ran out and need to buy more, I love the way this serum makes my skin look and feel. It makes me look more radiant, and makes my complexion less uneven. 1.) First, I use the PACIfICA - Cosmic Hemp Balancing Face Wash morning and night, and I’ve used this face wash for about 4 months now and I’ve bought it twice. Makes my skin more relaxed and look less stressed, really helps with unevenness. This is a more light-weight face wash, but it helps with stressed and bumpy skin. 2.) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I use this after my face wash, and I love this serum so so much!! And so cheap for the quality!! $7. I got my mom to use The Ordinary now, too. This serum helps with oily skin, redness and blemishes and I can definitely tell the difference after use :) 3.) TATCHA - The Water Cream This moisturizer changed my skin completely!! I started out using this as a sample size from my Ipsy bag, and bought a few more sample sizes after that. I decided to just buy the bigger container instead of spending $20 every 2-3 weeks. The one that I have is a little bigger than average, and I think it was about $86, and the regular size is around $68. Although not the most affordable, this moisturizer makes my skin so so smooth and got rid of fine lines on my face, I would highly recommend this product to anybody. 4.) PACIfICA - Pore Warrior Oil Fighter Booster Serum (Only at night) I really like Pacifica, and I think it is an underrated brand. I can tell this serum has done good things for my skin, my pores look a little smaller, but it isn’t any life changing. I think this is $12, and you can get it at Target or Walmart. 5.) GLAMGLOW - BRIGHTEYES Illuminating Anti-Fatigue Eye Cream I also got this product from one of my Ipsy bags, and I’ve been using it instead of my Burt’s Bee’s eye cream, which is also really good. I can tell this cream has helped minimize my puffiness and dark spots underneath my eyes.

Favorite mask
This is my favorite mask. I put a thick amount on. I wake up and my skin is nourished. It is especially good for cold months when you can’t moisturize well. I like how my skin feels firm after I use it. It smells good, which I also like. I usually put some serum or something underneath, but it isn’t necessary to receive the good effects of this product. It’s Soo funny that this was an impulse buy years ago at target and now it’s my favorite!

review my boyfriends routine! by me :)
This is my boyfriends routine that I made! Its been pretty hard to get a good routine that he actually uses. But lately hes been wanting to take care of his skin!! Not pictured- PACIfICA - Acne Defense Face Wash bliss - Clear Genius Clarifying Toner + Serum I actually use this toner for myself haha. And it works amazing!!! It contains great ingredients such as; salicylic acid, witch hazel water, niacinamide, zinc, and cica. Those are all amazing ingredients that fight against acne and angry skin. artnaturals - Hyaluronic Acid Serum This is actually a “hand me down” that I really didnt like the consistency of, but he doesnt mind. As soon as he started using this, I INSTANTLY saw a difference in his face. DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel The iconic acne fighter. I also use this too, and it saved my skin. He just started using this and is beginning the purging part, but he is doing an a amazing job and is using the HERO COSMETICS - Mighty Patch Original for Madewell for any pimples that pop up. Neutrogena - Neutrogena Combination Skin Moisture Lastly, this moisturizer. I like this moisturizer because its not too thick and not too gely like. Its also non-codomongenic which is great. I cant wait what his face will turn out to be! Im sure hes going to feel a lot better about his skin :) ill make sure to do a update and let me know what you think about the routine!!

Skin Care = Mama’s Self Care Journey
With many responsibilities as mothers, caregivers, women, we also have a responsibility of a healthy relationship with oneself. I have a beautiful son of eighteen months and in that time, I’ve really come to realize that I have neglected myself. My skin is probably dry to combination dry, due to the tiniest of spots on my T zone being oily. I’ve never really had issue with my skin until I woke up and realized, “Wow! I look as tired as I am!” and that sweet realization made me want to change my skin for the better. I’m down with skin care on a budget, but will probably end of splurging for the sake of hydration, decreased redness and skin irritation. Please let me know if you have any suggestions! Also, as I am a newbie, tell me how to use these products- I am shocked as how many products have no clear instructions. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser - I really love the lack of overpowering fragrance, although I’m not inherently against a scented product. This was one of the few cleaners that did not rip the hydration out of my skin almost immediately. ⭐️🧼 - I do have some interest in oil based cleansers, as I’m more dry - any suggestions? e.l.f. - Gentle Peeling Exfoliant - This was a product that I didn’t know I needed. I’ve always used products that didn’t adequately exfoliate and because so, layers of dead and unnecessary skin piled on my face. This did it’s job and left my skin soft and supple. PACIfICA - Vegan Collagen Hydrating Milk Tonic - The product really felt a bit drying, but it felt like it was doing it’s job? The jury is definitely still out on this one. ⭐️💦 - Any suggestion for a more hydrating toner that’s cruelty free? PACIfICA - Water Bounce Moisture Shot Booster Serum - This smells fantastic. Really. I added it as my last step in my skin care routine and it definitely took care of any lingering dryness on my forehead and cheeks. (Thank you winter in New England!) e.l.f. - Holy Hydration! Face Cream - This was a little bit of a disappointment for me, as I was suggested this as a Tatcha dupe and this is really sealing the realization that there really isn’t a true dupe for it. The smell is run of the mill, not bad, but the hydration definitely is far from holy. Seemed like a very basic cream, nothing special. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30 - This is a sunscreen that doesn’t break me out or irritate as bad as most so for my sensitive skin and the scent of zinc oxide isn’t in your face, love that. PACIfICA - Color Quench Lip Tint - I purchased the scent Guava Berry and it smells like a Starburst, isn’t a weird filmy consistency, and not super pigmented at all. If you want color pull off, this is a no, but I was only seeking hydration. Kind of wish it had some SPF though. 💗 Ella

I grew my hair long and strong
I was always a heat styling person, I never embraced my natural curly hair and I always used to flat iron them my whole life. Until back in November I stopped using heat styling tools, especially flat iron and my hair is this long now!! My hair always grow fast, and genetically I know my hair can grow knee length. My mom had very long, luscious hair in her teenage and I got that inherited in me. Blessed! 😊 But seriously, what can help hair grow longer and healthier?? I believe the following tips and products can help: 1. Eliminate heat styling as much as you can. This is the first step in finally focusing and be able to invest your time and money in reversing the damage. 2. If you have curly/wavy textured, coarsed hair... start embracing it. It's okay to not have flat managed hair all the time. You can always use some nourishing oil like Moroccan oil to tame the frizz. 3. Incorporate Fatty acids,Omega and Vitamin E in your food. Fish is a great option but if you're vegan/vegetarian, Greens, whole grains and fruits are great option. 4. Maintain your hormonal levels with diet and light exercise. I'm not pointing out towards not eating junk (which I adore myself) and not exercising daily. Just a little for you to feel good is enough😊✨ 5. Use nourishing hair oils and masks to pamper your hair weekly. 6. Last but not the least, use gentle products that will help you with your desired hair texture and finish. I'm listing down the products I've neen enjoying and they're really helping me maintain my waves and curls so that I don't feel the need to heat style my hair often 👍 Also these products are my Holy grails now, they're very affordable and work amazing for curly and wavy hair types💖✨ @cantubeauty Shea butter Shampoo and Conditioner cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Sulfate-Free Hydrating Cream Conditioner cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Sulfate-Free Cleansing Cream Shampoo @cantubeauty Define and shine custard cantu - Shea Butter for Natural Hair Define & Shine Custard @pacificabeauty Pineapple Curls shampoo PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Shampoo @igkhair Mistress hydrating hair balm IGK - Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm @thedrybar Prep rally detangler drybar - Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler @aveda Damage remedy daily hair repair AVEDA - Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair AG hair care Fast food moisture leave on conditioner AG hair - Moisture Fast Food Leave-On Conditioner

Alcohol free shampoo?? Its a thing!!!
After reading the ingredients on my cantu shampoo/conditioner, I discovered they had different types of alcohol in them. Why??? Just like in skincare, alcohol isnt a necessary ingredient in your hair care, i did some research and found PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Shampoo and PACIfICA - Pineapple Curls Curl Defining Conditioner they SAVED MY HAIR!! The shampoo has ZERO alcohol in it and the conditioner only has ONE!! Which is so much less than my old cantu and other curly hair products. They also smell AMAZING!! Theyre made with all ORGANIC AND NATURAL INGREDIENTS! I truly love this brand!!
