New silicone cleaning mat
In April, I did a l post about ecoTOOLS - Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo and a silicone hand mat. It wasn’t bad, but the surface wasn’t big enough for me and the number of brushes I have. I finally realized that I needed something that could rest in my sink and was big enough for me to wash multiple brushes at once. So I went on Amazon on Prime Day and saw the #Ranphykx - Silicon Makeup Brush Cleaning Mat[products]#[FourStars] in green (teal) that has 2,536 reviews and sits at a pretty 4.5 out of 5 rating for only $4.98. It also comes in pink and purple for $6.98. I like that it has suction cups on the back to keep it in the sink. This is a great dupe for the SIGMA - Spa Express Brush Cleaning Mat, which is about $27. NOTE: I am constantly looking for things to make my brush hygiene better and what I have found is washing my brushes more frequently and not waiting for them to pile up.

ecoTOOLS Brush Cleaning Shampoo — how’d it do?
So it was brush cleaning time tonight and when I was at the store earlier I spotted this ecoTOOLS Brush Cleaning Shampoo. I’ve been a devotee of the Beauty Blender Solid Cleanser for absolutely forever and haven’t tried a new liquid cleanser in ages so decided to grab it and see how well it works. ❤️ THE PROS ❤️ + Lathers up nicely, unlike a solid cleanser that you’ve got an immediate lather rather than needing to work it up as the solid bar softens + It did a pretty decent job of cleansing my brushes, the majority of the makeup came out without too much effort + Only cost AU$12.99 which is half the cost of the BB Solid Cleanser (AU$25) 💙 THE CONS 💙 + Not as effective as the BB Solid Cleanser, I think their claims that it removes 90% is accurate as it didn’t leave them as clean as they’d usually be + Struggled a bit more with oil based products, a couple brushes which I’d used with oil based products I had to triple cleanse with this shampoo ❤️💙❤️💙❤️ My Thoughts: It’s a decent, well priced cleanser which cleans the majority of makeup out of brushes and sponges while being simpler to use than a solid cleanser so I’d say it’s a success. ecoTOOLS - Makeup Brush Cleansing Shampoo

all you need for a flawless face!
it can be easy to feel like you need a hundred products for a flawless makeup application—this is not the case! I have found I can get a perfect base and eyeshadow look with just these 5! beautyblender - Nude first and foremost, there’s nothing like the beauty blender. I’ve tried every “dupe” there is, nothing comes close! you can use this for your foundation, and because of the material and shape it never leaves harsh lines or marks. I ALSO use this for my concealer, so it’s really a great multi use tool! ecoTOOLS - Blending & Bronzing Brush this is my favorite brush for bronzing. because of the stippled bristles, it diffuses the product in a beautiful, natural way. my bronzer never looks too heavy or marked. my favorite brush!! wet n wild - wet n wild Fluffy Blending Brush wet n wild makes some of the best brushes i’ve ever used. they come in a set around the holidays and i also get them for the fluffy + highlight brushes. these absolutely hold their own against more expensive counterparts. if you haven’t tried them yet, do!! lastly, if you use powder blush, a simple blush brush is the final brush you need. that’s it! 5 products, a blended, flawless base. I have probably used over 200 makeup brushes at this point in my life. deciding on these 5 was surprisingly easy. the way I was able to narrow it down was the fact that all of these brushes are multi use. I’ve used the fluffy brush for both eyeshadow AND concealer. the bronzer brush is also wonderful for blush. the blush brush has been used for both highlighter and bronzer when I’ve been in a pinch. the beauty blender of course can be used for foundation, concealer, contour, and liquid blush. if you’re able to, always try to find products that are multi use!! I’ve challenged myself to use less products and these 5 make it totally doable! #cheriepartner #cheriecreator

makeup tools I CANNOT live without!
all 3 are tools I use EVERY TIME I wear makeup. there’s been periods of time that I’ve tried different products, or deviated for a bit, but I always return to these 3. they give me the most flawless results, are super user friendly, and worth every dollar. beautyblender - beautyblender Makeup Sponge people will say any sponge is the same as the beauty blender—not in my experience! I’ve tried every competitors “dupe” but nothing comes close to the original. there’s just something about the unique material that ensures a smooth, seamless base every time. knowing where to use this blender can make anyone look like a MUA! it does the work for you. ($20) ecoTOOLS - Blending & Bronzing Brush this looks like a large, fluffy stipple brush. it is my absolute FAVORITE for bronzing. it applies the color in such a way that it comes out pigmented, but not too overpowering. I never have an issue of applying “too much” with this brush, and it’s incredibly useful. ($10) SHISEIDO - Shiseido Eyelash Curler I’ve reviewed this so many times, but it really is that good. whether I’m doing a full face of makeup, or going bare faced, THIS is my constant. the perfect curl this gives me lashes opens my eyes so dramatically I can’t help but have it in permanent rotation. I’ll never stop using this eyelash curler!! ($22) #cheriepartner

Eco-friendly beauty tools!
Nowadays is more common to see organic and eco-friendly beauty products. These organic cosmetics used plant based elements and non toxic ingredients that not only keep us healthy but also the whole planet. Recently I came across the brand EcoTools and what catched my attention was the fact that this company uses 88% less plastic on their packaging and is both biodegradable and plantable. Their seeded package turns waste into wildflowers when it is planted and watered, how cool is that? Their products are 100% vegan, cruelty free, biodegradable and recyclable. All brushes are recycled aluminum and renewable bamboo materials I found this ecoTOOLS - Start the Day Beautifully Kit which includes 5 brushes, 3 beauty look cards and a storage tray. The bristles are soft and do a great job at blending. This kit have all the essential brushes for every day use: foundation, blush, crease brush, angle liner and concealer. I am very impressed with the quality and even more about how sustainable this company is.

Eyeliner Brush - worth it??
Eyeliner brushes can be one of the trickiest things to use when applying eye makeup. Most of us go with the provided or attached brush. To get your preferred line or shape, different eyeliner brushes come to the rescue. 🗣 Here are my tips - Simple eye defining line: eyeliner brush flat tip brush and angled bent eyeliner brush Cat eye liner: dome shaped semi flat brush, angled tip brush and angled bent eyeliner brush Winged eyeliner: angled tip brush and angled bent eyeliner brush 👁👁 I use an eyeliner brush for various reasons and the main one is to help draw a fine, chain free line. With a brush, it helps to pick up the right amount of the product and avoid wastage. A brush also avoids contamination of eyeliners that come with a brush inserted at the top of the tube. The eyeliner look that I usually have is a typical straight, close to the lash line one. And I usually use a flat tip brush to achieve this neat line look. The brush that I am using now is the flat brush from EcoTools Start the Day Beautifully Kit. With a lightweight bamboo handle and soft bristles that are made of polyester, the brush picks up the right amoun of gel liner each time and glides across the sensitive skin on my eyes easily without pricking my lashes and waterline. It is an affordable option for anyone who would like to experiment with a gel liner and brush look. A thick brush will create thick, dark lines while a thin, angled brush will give you more control and allow you to draw finer lines. This brush is of the right density for an everyday look. To draw the liner with the brush, dip the brush bristles in the pot of gel liner and wipe them on the sides to remove excess eyeliner. Start with less rather than more as you can build on the line later on. Using too much eyeliner at once can lead to smearing. To apply a basic line, close the eye you are going to apply eyeliner to gently. Begin about 1/4 of the way out from your inside corner on your top lid. Use the tip of the brush to gently and smoothly follow the lash line and trace the natural curve of your eye with the eyeliner, keeping as close to the lash line as possible. I also like to use this brush to draw a line of shadow on the lower line for a smoky eye look. To do that, I wipe the brush with a clean wet cloth and dab the brush a dark mauve or brown eyeshadow. I then tap the brush on my hand and go around my lower waterline for a soft ring of dark color.

Honest Beauty Cream Foundation
HONEST - Everything cream foundation This is one of my all time favorite foundations! I like the packaging; it’s very unique for a cream foundation. Every cream foundation I have ever used has been in a stick form, so I enjoy using my brush to apply the foundation precisely. The brush that I have found works best for this product is ecoTOOLS - 360* Ultimate Blend Kit . I also love how this color matches my skin tone! I have very fair skin and sometimes it is hard for me to find a fair foundation shade that matches my skin tone and looks natural. I use the shade “Cream”, although I could probably use one shade darker for summer. This foundation also does not require much powder to set! This base goes on matte, so all you need to do is brush some translucent powder over your t-zone and you will be set for the day!

Define your face with bronzer & contouring 💆🏽‍
✨ Makeup truly is an art because every product can transform your skin giving you a flawless face! When laying my foundation, I always go in with a bronzer to create a more defined and contoured look. I have a bit of a rounder face and larger forehead, so contouring really helps to give me a more defined look. I typically start with primer, and then I go in with my GRESSA - Minimalist Corrective Serum Foundation This product has very thin consistency like a serum, and depending on your coverage preference, it can be layered to give you a more full coverage beat ☀️ I use my favorite foundation brush to blend it all in. The ecoTOOLS - 360* Ultimate Blend Kit is seriously the perfect brush set for anyone new to makeup, as it helps to blend your foundation and concealer really well. ✨ Once my foundation is set, I then go in with the LILY LOLO - Lily Lolo Pressed Bronzer in the shade Miami Beach using my REAL TECHNIQUES - Limited Edition, Brush Crush Volume 2, Ruler of the Skies Set, 4 Pieces to create shadows above my cheekbone, jawline, and top of my forehead (The set I tagged above is the volume 2 - I got the previous brushes they initially launched that included a contouring brush). Once it is blended all in, my face has a more defined but very natural contour 💞 If needed, I will go in with concealer to clean up any messy lines or mistakes. Do you contour or bronze? Let me know below 🙌🏽 #CheriePartner

MORPHE 35C nude eye look!
I used my ecoTOOLS - Enhancing Eye Set, 4 Brush Heads brushes to do this - there's two fluffy brush ends, one for the brow bone, and the other is a buffer. Here's what I did with the MORPHE - 35C Everyday Chic Artistry Palette : I used the shorter of the two fluffy ends (one is a good blender and the other is slightly stiffer) for my eyelid and I applied cute shoes to my crease and outer corner. Then I applied feelin pretty to the crease and inner corner. I also took both shades and put them on my lower eyelid since I wasn't doing a cut crease. Then I took getting ready and weekend plans into my outer corner to build it up. Next, I took a tiny amount of total mood and oh you for my crease and blended them in. After this I took chic it out and love it to add some lightness in my crease and below my brow bone but above my crease since I didn't cover that area. Lastly, I applied cheers to you to my brow bone and then buffed feelin pretty and love it to my lower lash line. I'm happy that this Morphe look turned out well since I didn't know what colors I wanted but it's easy to choose since lots of the shades go well together. I highly recommend this palette since it's so versatile and could be used by anyone and it's so worth it!! 😍

LETS TALK BEAUTY GADGETS #CheriePartner
Today I’m showing you some of the beauty gadgets I have at home that I use and like! First I have ecoTOOLS - Facial Cleansing Brush i actually like this a lot! I like to just use my hand but I use this at night to help really get into my face. I’ve only been using it for a few weeks I love the way it feels on my skin but We’ll see! It has four stars because I try to use it only at night and it’s not motorized. I’m waiting to see how it holds up and how often I have to change it out. Secondly we have FINISHING TOUCH FLAWLESS - Flawless Instant and Painless Facial Hair Remover I get a lot of hair on my face/chin area and I love this tool to keep them at bay. I’ve had mine for about 3 years and I couldn’t see my routine without it. I use it about once a week to every other week depending on how fast my hair grows. Also it has like and 18k karat gold plate on top which is apparently supposed to be hypoallergenic and ward off bacteria and help avoid redness. All in all it’s super painless and I love it! I’m thinking about starting to incorporate a jade roller into my routine. If you have any suggestions pls leave them below! What’s your fav tool? BESOS 😘

Mini Target Haul 🥳
Hey y’all!! I’ve been to Target 3x this week & wanted to share some new products I’m trying out! CeraVe - Acne Foaming Cream Cleanser($12) I chose this cleanser for my morning routine because of the ingredients. Benzoyl peroxide works well for my acne (I say “my acne” because everyone is different). I also love hyaluronic acid & have heard great things about niacinamide so I’m exited to try this out! CeraVe - Skin Renewing Vitamin C Serum($20) I was looking for a serum that would help with my hyperpigmentation and acne scars. This product has 10% Vitamin C which helps brighten the skin. It also contains hyaluronic acid! up&up - Grapefruit Body Wash($3-5) So, the acne no one wants to talk about... body acne. I recently had a medical procedure (benign cyst removed, gross I know) and had a dressing over my back for months. The tape irritated my skin and just tore it apart. I’m really hoping this wash will help calm down my skin. Main active ingredient is salicylic acid which works for me. ecoTOOLS - Facial Cleansing Brush($5-6) The bristles on this brush is so soft! I’ve always been hesitant to spend $100+ on an electronic facial brush (I know I’m going to give in soon) so I’m glad to have found this inexpensive brush that’s disposable. If you guys would like an update on how I like these products, let me know!! I’m more than happy to share my experiences with all of you guys and if you’re still reading this, I appreciate you 😊

Thumbs up for ecotools makeup brushes!👍
I've seen more and more posts about eco-friendly skincare and beauty on cherie, which is amazing because it means that the beauty community is taking real actions to protect our planet! I've noticed that a lot of beauty lovers start their eco-friendly makeup journey by switching to vegan and synthetic makeup brushes instead of those made of animal hairs. But synthetic brushes don't mean they are of bad quality. I just purchased some from ecotools and I was surprised by the good quality! Here is what I purchased: ECOTOOLS SIX PIECE STARTER COLLECTION What I like: This kit really includes a variety of brushes to achieve an everyday face. How to use: (5 brushes for an everyday Look) ecoTOOLS - Full Powder Brush What I like: The Full Powder bush is incredibly soft, and with so many bristles (70,000) it evenly distributes and blends the press powders well. With this brush, I set my face with a setting powder and I used a translucent powder and it works so well!  I am impressed, no residues left behind at all! How to use: Dab brush in pressed powder, then gently tap off any excess.  Blend color onto face using circular motions, starting in the middle of your face and moving towards the hairline. ecoTOOLS - Classic Foundation Brush What I like: This brush works best for liquid and cream foundations for even coverage. This foundation brush is designed flat, with dense bristles which makes it pretty easy to apply the foundation because it’s so firm! What I don't like: I still had to use my beauty blender, I know right boo!  After applying the foundation with the brush, I had to go back and set the foundation with a beauty blender because there were so many lines.  How to use: Dab flat side of brush in foundation and apply color starting in the middle of the face and work outwards toward the hairline.   Overall, I loved the brushes and I should mention they are cruelty-free, made of renewable bamboo, 100% vegan and beautifully soft.

HOW TO DIY TINTED MOISTURISER
TBH, I’ve never understood the point of making tinted moisturiser when it’s so easy to make on your own - this is also a great way to make use of a foundation that is too high coverage to be comfortable! This way, you can always be sure that your tinted moisturiser always matches you. IMO, t don’t trust the narrow shade range of most tinted moisturisers one bit! So how do I make my own tinted moisturiser? I just mix a bit of my favourite foundation with some moisturiser to create a sheer, but tinted formula. Put a little dab of both on your hand or blending palette, and mix mix mix until well blended. One thing to note though - NEVER mix sunscreen with foundation to sheer it out. When you mix things with sunscreen, you dramatically reduce how effective the sunscreen is - sunscreen should always be applied as a base layer for makeup, not AS makeup. Usually, mixing foundation with moisturiser means the finish isn’t as matte as pure foundation - but that’s ok, it’s nothing that can’t be fixed without powder! Since the coverage is sheered out, it looks super natural but not just like bare skin - a finish that I love! Products used: wet n wild - Photofocus Liquid Matte Foundation e.l.f. - Selfie Foundation Blurring Brush Naturie Gel Moisturiser KATE Liquid Eyeliner Innisfree Pencil Liner L'ORÉAL - Voluminous Lash Paradise Mascara innisfree - No Sebum Moisture Powder ecoTOOLS - Full Powder Brush SilkyGirl Liquid Lipstick

These are another one of my favorite brushes. The big brush I use to apply blush on with. The product gets on the brush so well and when I apply the blush onto my skin with it it’s amazing. I love all of these brushes. I got this from Walmart. It’s about &10 which is really cheap for brushes. The brushes are super soft as well and really good for applying blush and eyeshadow. I would recommend this product to everyone and I give this 5 Cherie stars

Is dry brushing still a thing? 🤔
Is dry brushing still a thing? 🤔
SKIN TYPE: sensitive/combo/acne PRODUCTS: Necessaire eucalyptus body wash and body exfoliant, Necessaire body lotion, Aesop rind concentrate body balm, EcoTools dry brush I’ve decided to take a long, luxurious bath for this weekend, starting off with dry brushing before I dive into these lovely Necessaire products. I’ve been using the EcoTools dry brush, and it’s pretty great. It fits perfectly in the palm of your hand and is light enough to easily navigate over the contours of your body. The only con is that it’s difficult to reach parts of my back with this. I remember when I first started dry brushing, I found it somewhat abrasive but after watching some tutorials (there is a dry brush technique) I’ve managed to go through the motions comfortably without exacerbating my sensitive skin. I found my skin is baby soft after dry brushing, but I haven’t seen any reduction in cellulite or lymphatic drainage, as some holistic beauty gurus claim. Have you tried dry brushing? What was your experience?

One of my favourite beauty ite
One of my favourite beauty items - the ecotools konjac sponge. This is all I use to wash my face with using my fave cleanser. When I had combo/oily skin I used the charcoal one, but since I've been dry this winter, I picked up the regular one. This is my favourite brand because it softens quickly when I dampen it unlike many others. It's so gentle on my skin and dries quickly when I hang it up after. I really need to try more products from this brand!!
