Mini ulta haul with product tryouts!
I had a few Ulta gift cards burning a hole in my pocket so I decided to get a few new items to try out. The first item I’ve been dying to try is URBAN DECAY - All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray I wanted to see if it’s worth the hype/price tag. I like this product, but I’d like to use it a few more times. I’m going to do another post next month comparing several different setting sprays to see how the compare. The next item I used is the MILANI - Cheek Kiss Blush in shade cheeky coral. I like the shade and it wears nicely. But I did have to layer it to get the color payoff I was looking for. I also got another cult favorite, PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer I absolutely love this product. I love the texture, the smell, the finish. It’s all great, absolutely worth the price. And the last is another eye shadow pallet from profusion! #Profusion Cosmetics - Starlet palette[products]#[FourStars] I love this palette, although the shimmer shades need a wet brush to be impactful. What other make up productions would you like to try out?
Christmas Day Makeup!
CLINIQUE - Even Better Glow Light Reflecting Makeup Broad Spectrum SPF 15 Foundation tarte - Shape Tape Concealer 16N Too Faced - Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eyeshadow Primer PAT McGRATH LABS - Celestial Divinity Luxe Quad Some scratchiness and it was hard to blend plus fall out. But the color payoff is terrific and the duochrome is gorgeous in person. PAT McGRATH LABS - Dark Star Volumizing Mascara OG HG. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Bronzer in Light. Blends well and goes on smoothly! DIOR - BACKSTAGE Glow Face Palette Hard to pick up with my brush. Doesn’t layer well over bronzer. Ended up looking muddy. ILIA - Balmy Gloss Tinted Lip Oil in Saint. I love this formula. The right amount of shine, wears well and is buildable without being gloopy. Earrings via IndigenousIntentions @ Etsy.

Easy Job Interview Glam
When it comes to my ~professional~ glam, I like to keep things minimal but still make sure to contour and highlight the appropriate areas – the goal is a soft glow that accentuates your features without looking too much. I think it’s also important to apply powder, especially if you’re like me and have oily skin and are prone to sweat when you get nervous lol. Keeping shine in mind, I like to opt for mattifying complexion products and powder formulas when it comes to bronzer, blush, and highlight - but these days, my favorite bronzers and blushes are cream formulations. For the eyes, I think all you need is a little sweep of mascara and/or liner depending on what you’re into. To really make them pop and elevate your look, I like to go in with a neutral eyeshadow to give the eyes more definition and make myself look more put together. And for the finishing touch, all you need is your favorite lipstick. I feel like any color goes and your glam can be a great way to let your personality shine through. These are the products I use: REVLON - Photoready Candid Glow Moisture Glow Anti-Pollution Foundation MAKE UP FOR EVER - Ultra HD Self-Setting Concealer MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Velvet Noir Major Volume Mascara FENTY BEAUTY - Match Stix Matte Skinstick – for a natural-looking contour, I like to warm the product up on the back of my hand and then I pick it up from there with an angled bronzer brush. MERLE NORMAN - Cheek Crayon - like with the contour stick, I recommend applying creme blushes to your hand first and picking it up from there. This gives you more control when you apply it and really helps you build it up to that natural-looking flush. I also love to add a little to my eyes to sub in for eyeshadow. Charlotte Tilbury - Airbrush Flawless Finish Setting Powder – if you're on the oilier side like me, I've found that you need to apply this powder all over and do so about 2-3 times. It's a little annoying, but it creates such a gorgeous glow that you really look airbrushed and it's totally worth it. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Butter Highlighter – make sure you dab the excess off or you’ll look ~crazy~ glowy. I learned this the hard way. Charlotte Tilbury - Matte Revolution Lipstick
I really enjoy do makeup on myself, so here a look that I did few weeks ago before I stop the contraception. But at the moment I don’t want to put anything on my face before I calm my hormonal acne 💊 Please comment if you like it, I’ll post more 🥰 Makeup details 🎨; Primer : smashbox - Photo Finish Foundation Primer Super Light Eye: MORPHE - The James Charles Palette + ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Amrezy Eyeshadow Palette Eyebrows : ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil Foundation : COVER FX - Natural Finish Foundation Concealer: laura mercier - Flawless Fusion Ultra-Longwear Concealer Bronzer : PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Butter Highlighter Highlighter: COVER FX - Glitter Drops Lips : PATRICK TA - Monochrome Moment Silky Lip Crème

OLD FAVES: DRUGSTORE FOUNDATIONS ✨
This one will be a little shorter because it will just be ratings! My preferred method of application is with a beauty sponge, here's the list of tools & primers I use! - e.l.f. - Total Face Sponge - e.l.f. - Poreless Putty Primer - MILANI - Prime Protect SPF 30 Face Primer - ACURE - Seriously Soothing Blue Tansy Night Oil - MILANI - Make It Last Prime + Correct + Set Setting Spray (Check out my everyday makeup routine to see a full base tutorial!) Let's get into these ratings! MAYBELLINE - Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Foundation - this is one of my holy grail foundations! i like their shade range so i can account for both my summer and winter shades. i always end up going back to this one! i just WISH the glass packaging had a pump or we could just make the tube worldwide. MILANI - Conceal + Perfect 2-in-1 Foundation + Concealer - let me preface by saying: it's THICK. full coverage to the max, almost a mousse texture. i go for this when i know i'll be having a long night with my makeup. definitely not an everyday formula. wet n wild - Photofocus Liquid Matte Foundation - another one of my go-to's, this is the original finish which is more satin/natural at least on myself! i like the spatula applicator on this one it's way less messy. definitely a more watery, smooth formula. CATRICE COSMETICS - HD Liquid Coverage Foundation - abysmal shade range, was okay but didn't really make a difference. i used this as a mixer for a long time, it comes in a dropper like serum so I could use it to lighten other foundations. other than that it was nothing to write home about. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - The Healthy Foundation SPF 20 - the packaging on this one actually broke on me but just the top lid part, probably user error. it comes with a large doe foot applicator, it has an interesting smell i will say that. otherwise i like how they do their shade matching by undertones & they keep their chart available and easy to understand! i like the finish, it would dry down slightly cakey but after a few mins + setting spray it would melt down into the skin beautifully! Remember to always give your foundations a full test run! Of course unless you experience irritation or incorrect color match. Some foundations do have a learning curve, for example there are certain foundations that apply better with a brush I have no idea why but it just works that way sometimes. If there are issues, try to check what products you're using that may not be a good pair with your foundation! Every foundation has a different finish so it's important to be aware of that when you're going into your make up routine. Thanks for reading. ❤️ #cheriecreator #cheriepartner
it feels like forever since I've worn a full face of makeup! does anyone else find them turning to makeup when they're bored?? even though you have nowhere to go for the rest of the day? i couldn't fit evry product i used in the pic, so i'll list them down below. my favorite part of this look is the e.l.f. - No Budge Shadow Stick because it looks so shimmery on my brown bone! some new makeup developments for me!
So! i’m not good at contouring, never have been. BUT today, i used bronzer effectively! i was so excited and nervous lol and it came out really pretty and i’m very excited about it. i used a lot of too faced stuff for this shiny glowy look (inspired by Bailey Sarian’s 90’s makeup look tbh) and overall this was an incident free application process. as usual, many of these products are my favs and i adore them, but i did want to talk a little bit about the MAYBELLINE - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer i actually meant to buy the concealer when i bought this, but it is the PERFECT summer shade for me. using a wet beauty blender i really pounded it into my skin and honestly, this is the nicest i have ever gotten a foundation to look on me. it’s very creamy and buildable, and honestly for 10 dollars how could you go wrong? i have medium skin during the summertime (i tan easily) so darker shades work best for me and honestly, i feel like i’m glowing AND have nothing on. Strong recommendation! hope you all have a wonderful day and try this foundation (or any of the other products here) and experiment!
a setting spray and eyeliner duo to kill for
hello! this is both a “daily look” post as well as me screaming praise for 2 products used here. 1) NYX - Epic Ink Liner in Brown what a product! it goes on nice, is super pigmented and pretty, comes off with just a little friction and micelles water but doesn’t budge unless you want it to! i get no flaking or extreme fading. at the end of the night my eyeliner (after sweating in that hot NY weather) was still perfectly in tact. however, another product was at play keeping me flawless. And for 9 dollars, it’s more than worth it’s cost. 2) MORPHE - Mini Continuous Setting Mist Saweet Peach oh my GOD. I finished putting my makeup on at 9:00am and by 12:15am it was still all almost perfectly in tact minus some oily eyelids. i’ve never been so blown away by a setting spray. smells great, works great, wonderful investment. and for 10 bucks? you simply cannot go wrong. love love love.

🏷 A Peek At My New (Discounted) Beauty Finds!
I’ve been in the mood for trying new beauty brands- here’s a sneak peak of some products I picked up at Marshall’s and Sephora, almost all at a discounted price! SEPHORA ETC 1. FARMACY - House of Gold Limited-Edition Holiday Gift Set Price: $60 (vs $85) Contains: Full-Sized Honeymoon AHA Glow Serum, Mini Honey Halo Ceramide Moisturizer, Mini Honey Potion Honey Mask Comments: I’ve been dying to get the Honey Glow Serum all year and when I saw this set had the full size, I had to swoop it up! Love the gentle floral and honey smells so far. Will post a full review soon~ 2. Rare Beauty - Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick Price: $20 Contains: Selena Gomez’s most popular lip soufflé in Brave, a red orange brown. Comments: I am an avid collector of moussey lip products in red orange/browns so look out for a comparison of this lip with my entire life soufflé collection!! 3. NATURIUM - Tranexamic Topical Acid 5% Price: $20 Contains: day/night serum for hyperpigmentation (especially induces by pregnancy). Comments: One of Naturium’s newest products so I’m excited to report back about the results! MARSHALL’S 1. Murad - Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum Price: $6.99 (vs $25) Contains: 2% hydroquinone mini size (10ml) Comments: also a touted ingredient for hyperpigmentation, I’m eager to compare this to Naturium’s TXA. Normally $25 for a pinch of liquid, I found it for cheap at Marshall’s! 2. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Organic Wear Lip Treatment Price: $3.99 (vs $9.50) Contains: a sheet lip care treatment that’s VERY similar to Fresh’s Sugar lip treatment ($25). Comments: so far almost identical to Fresh’s lip treatment, so look out for a dupes post comparing the two. 3. I DEW CARE - Mini Meow Peel-Off Mask Trio Price: $6.99 (vs $19) Contains: 3 mini chrome masks Comments: haven’t tried this yet but I’ve been meaning to try the brand. Lookout for a post in the future~ Cheers to new beauty launches and finding discounted gems! Let me know if y’all want a 101 on finding beauty sales 🥂 #CheriePartner
Disappointed: Not a Dupe for Fresh Sugar
Read on here that this was a great dupe for the Fresh Sugar tinted lip balms and it is not even close! The formula is oily and not as creamy and the tint doesn’t look great on my lips at all (settles weird). I won’t buy this product again, just splurge on a Fresh Sugar one. They’re worth it! 🧖♀️ How to Save Time: Hybrid Skincare Makeup
There are many days when I wake up and feel how much I want to shorten my make up and skincare routine so I can snooze for another 5-10 mins. One of the easiest ways to do that is to use hybrid skincare-make up products. Here are some of my suggestions below: NARS - Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 This tinted moisturizer kills 2 birds with 1 stone. Amazing light coverage and SPF 30! It’s great to even out skin tone and protect the skin. Bonus: it’s non-comedogenic perfect for combination/oily/dry skin types. It’s very thin so it needs to be shaken before application but when you apply it, it feels like second skin. HOURGLASS - Veil Mineral Primer SPF 15 Mentioned this in another review before. Great primer and non-comedogenic with SPF 15. A great underlying base and some sun protection to add on before your tinted moisturizer. laura mercier - Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 This is an oldie but goodie product that’s also non-comedogenic because it’s oil free. It’s only SPF 20, for $46.00 for a 1.7 oz. whereas, NARS tinted moisturizer is SPF 30, costs $45.00 for 1.9 oz. I find the laura mercier tinted moisturizer to have too thick a base. Because of that it’s more difficult to wear on humid days. They also make a different version that I haven’t tried because it’s not oil free. laura mercier - Tinted Moisturizer Natural Skin Perfector Broad Spectrum SPF30 it Cosmetics - Bye Bye Under Eye Anti-Aging Concealer is a wonderful hybrid concealer. It has anti-aging properties that fight under eye wrinkles due to yum ingredients like peptides, vitamins, antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and collagen. Perricone MD - No Makeup Blush The packaging is small and is $35 for a lil’ bottle but a little goes a long way. It’s vegan, cruelty free and even gluten free. Some ingredients that make it a hybrid is that it has vitamin c ester and ginger extract. If you’re using The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% do not use them together. Sadly the No Makeup Blush contains mineral oil and this isn’t good for oily types since it can cause your pores to become blocked. I returned it. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Organic Wear Sculpting Bronzer it’s a matte bronzer that’s buildable and only $6.99 on Amazon. It only comes in 2 shades but they both work for my light/medium golden undertones. They look and feel more like contour sticks though. The drugstore powerhouse brand loaded the product with antioxidants and contains: jojoba oil, indian senna seed, and aloe vera. Just warm with your hands to apply and blend with fingertips. Hope this helps you save time, catch more z’s and free up your busy day. Enjoy 🧖♀️
The (almost) perfect cream bronzer
Hello, big cream makeup products girl over here. I have been avoiding buying a cream bronzer for a long time because I have so much powder bronzer to go through, but then I gave in and bought this one: PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Organic Wear Sculpting Bronzer And ughhh it’s so close to perfect! The good: + The finish and colour from this is so lovely in the summertime. I use the shade ‘Toffee’ and it adds some extra warmth to the face and just gives you such a nice bronzed effect to the skin. + It doesn’t have any glitter or sparkle in the formula so it gives you a super natural glow-from-within vibe. + Blends and layers well with other makeup. + The formula is definitely buildable. + Although it’s a cream product, it does dry down almost completely so you don’t have to worry about it wiping away or transferring. + For my acne-prone friends, this hasn’t caused any breakouts for me! The not so good: - I don’t think this product would work very well for me in the winter when I’m super pale. It’s very warm toned and it works right now in the middle of the summer when I’m looking a little more flushed and tan, but I think I’m September I’m going to have to reach for a different product. - There are only two shades (Toffee and Mocha)...I really really wish they had a more inclusive shade range. Worth it? For $11-$16 (depending where you live) I think that’s a totally fair price. Physicians formulas products aren’t that cheap, but the bronzers are good quality and they last a long time. Will I repurchase? I will, if they extend the shade range. Which it looks like they might soon based on the shades on Cherie, so fingers crossed! Tip: I think this works best if you use a brush or sponge to apply it to the face versus drawing it onto the face and then trying to blend it in.

My Everyday Summer 2020 Makeup Routine
My routine always starts with a good skincare routine! Find one that works for you and make sure it includes SPF! I’ve been using a moisturizer with SPF ORIGINS - A Perfect World SPF 40 Age-Defense Moisturizer with White Tea This dual product is nice because I don’t have to add an extra layer to get moisture I need! It’s a great product but I will probably end up going back to my COOLA which is my holy grail. COOLA - Classic Face Sunscreen Moisturizer SPF 50 I’ve always done my eye makeup first so I’ve been using the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Norvina Eyeshadow Palette shades Incense and passion in the crease with tarte - Limited-edition Clay Pot Waterproof Shadow Liner in the shade Rose Gold all over the lid. Next, I’ve been using the Dr. Jart+ - Premium Beauty Balm SPF 45 This is the only BB Cream I’ve used that gets along with my combo-oily skin! Plus it has bonus SPF! Then I apply the ESTĒE LAUDER - Double Wear Stay-In-Place Flawless Wear Concealer to my under eyes. This concealer is fine but it’s way too drying and full coverage for my taste. Then I use the BECCA - Sunlit Bronzer basically all over my face 😂 nose, cheeks, forehead! I use the shade Bronzed Bondi. Helps me look like I actually have a tan! It has a subtle sheen that makes it look so natural! Then I blend a light amount of the PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Blush in Vintage Rouge into my cheeks. Then, I apply the HOURGLASS - Veil Translucent Setting Powder to my undereyes, my T zone, and my jawline. Finally I draw in my eyebrows with ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Pomade and set them with the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - ANASTASIA Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel The clear brow get is fine but it’s too drying and crunchy for me. Finally I apply mascara! Rodial - Glamolash Mascara XXL This mascara is fine but it clumps up so easily so you have to be careful! #cheriepartner
Battle of the blushes
As much as I love cream and liquid blushes physicians formula elixir blushes PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Dewy Blush Elixir aren’t my favorite liquid formula. For one, the darker shade I have has beads in it that almost feel like sand, so that in itself is odd. The other shade I have doesn’t have any sand like particles. But it’s so dewy it picks up any makeup that is underneath so this really can only be worn alone. They can bee sheer which I enjoy but they’re extremely dewy so it may not be for everyone. I do however like their powder blush formula. PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Blush I wish they would expand the shade range and make the packaging less bulky though. Very thin formula and looks beautiful applied to the skin!

Favorite Holy Grail eyeliner
Today I am writing about my favorite Holy Grail eyeliner. I have been using the Physicians Formula Eye Booster for almost 10 years now. I have tried other brands and I always go back to this one. Other eyeliners just don’t go on as smoothly and easily as this one does. You can find it in most drugstores for about $10. I think it is only available in brown and black, as those are the only colors I have been able to find. I use brown for everyday and black for special occasions. I don’t think the lash boosting serum does much, but the eyeliner goes on smooth and stays put on my eyes about as long as other eyeliners. And let’s face it, I am not buying it to be a lash serum. It is a liquid liner formula. The tip is more of a paint brush than a pen, which I find easier to use. With this product, I can easily get that perfect flick for a cat eye look. This eyeliner is not waterproof, so if that’s what you are looking for, this may not be the product for you. Otherwise, this is definitely worth the low price. Plus it goes on sale frequently, making it an even better deal! As long as Physicians Formula continues to make this eyeliner, it will have a permanent spot in my makeup bag.

Cloud Paint DUPE! 🤩 OMG!
I set out to find the perfect dupe for Glossier’s Cloud Paint, and I think I found something really special. 🤩 The NYX “Sweet Cheeks” soft cheek tint is the perfect cream blush if you’re looking for a similar formula to Cloud Paint, but without the hefty price tag. Shade shown: “Nude’Tude” The product comes in a range of colors from dark purples to mauvey pinks. Buildable color Retails for around ~$9 USD Physician’s Formula Murumuru Lip Butter with SPF 15 was my first go at a sheer SPF lip. The only thing I didn’t LOVE about the lip butter was that it dries on skin fast, and therefore the color wears off pretty quickly... But the formula itself is SO creamy and soft on my lips I might just have to keep it. Shade shown: “Brazilian Nut” There isn’t a HUGE variety of shades Buildable, sheer color that’s easy to reapply Retails for around ~$7 USD I found both of these products at Target and they are also available online through select retailers. 😍🥰
LIP CREME IN BRAZILIAN NUT
This PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Murumuru Butter Lip Cream SPF15 is in the shade Brazilian nut. Find these lip products to be very comfortable but I do also find that they go bad very quickly so I would recommend that if you want to pick this up you pick up a sheet that you would very frequently wear. The actual formula itself is comfortable but not very long lasting you definitely will need to reapply throughout the day. That being said it’s easy to reapply and does not need a mirror. This shade in particular was not my cup of tea but I do prefer some of the other shades better.

NEW PF BLUSHES 😍😍
This PHYSICIANS FORMULA - Dewy Blush Elixir is in the shade gorgeous peach. This is a relatively new product for physicians formula and came out with their rebrand of their organic wear line. I personally love a good cream blush and this one did not let me down. Definitely is a do we finish but if you don’t like it do we finish you could always said it was a translucent powder and it still feels very well. Are use this all the time because I love the pigment that it provides but also it’s very bendable and buildable. I also find it lasts really well whether you said it or not it really hang on and does not fade out quickly like some other blushes can especially cream blushes.

3a - 4a Curly Hair Tips From Team Cherie Calling all curly girls! Team cherie shares some of their favorite ways to take care of their natural curls.Dec. 23, 2020
My Mental Wellness Improved Through My Self AcceptanceWhen I was around 13 or 14 years old, I remember routinely taking one of my older sister’s black eyeliner pencils before school every morning. I’d arrive early so that I could slip away to the girl’s bathroom to apply a single black line to my eyelids. My parents didn’t allow me to wear any makeup at the time. Although this smudgy line on my eyelids didn’t make me look all that much different, I never felt comfortable at school without it. My teenage mind convinced myself that I needed some sort of cosmetic symbol in order to appropriately express my femininity. Up until that point in my life, society had told girls that looked like me - tall, Black, and with kinky hair - that we somehow weren’t as beautiful as the other girls. For far too long, I believed it too.Feb. 17
