Oil cleanser for oily/combo skin!!!
I know most people with oily skin are told to stay away from oil cleansers, but this cleanser (found on amazon) DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil is amazing and I find works really well. If I were you I’d still do a double cleanse though. I am a huge advocate/ fan of the double cleanse. Oil cleansers are good because they easily break down that spf we have been wearing all day! You should always be wearing some form of spf! Gel cleansers are not always so efficient of breaking down spf. It also breaks down sebum, pollutants and difficult to remove make up such as lash glue. A gel cleanser or foaming cleanser can work as a second to rid of makeup and clean out pores. For the price of the product I feel this is a great oil cleanser!! DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil
Got some new goodies that I’m excited to try and some repurchases! essence - Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel Mascara Really inexpensive dupe for the Benefit Gimme Brow Gel. This is my 2nd one. I love that it’s not formulated with petrolatum! peach slices - Snail Rescue Blemish Busting Toner Recent find! I’m not usually a big fan of peach slices but their new Snail Rescue Toner has a great formula. miss spa - Bee Venom Facial Sheet Mask miss spa - Hemp Oil Hydrating Sheet Mask I mainly got these because they were on sale but great formulas. Can you believe this was $45!
DHC Lip Cream- My Favorite
I constantly have dry and chapped lips, probably due to being eternally dehydrated lol. My go-to chapstick or lip balm used to be Burt’s Bees original. However, over time, it would irritate my lips, leave a white cast, and make them more dry. My best friend brought me the really cute Sanrio DHC lip cream all the way from Japan and I immediately fell in love. It’s the only chapstick that I feel keeps my lips smooth and moisturized with a small amount. This lip cream is designed to combat free radicals and is made with squalane, ginseng root extract, organic olive oil, and lanolin. It doesn’t feel too heavy or sticky once on. Just a heads up though, if you aren’t a fan a Vaseline, you may want to try something else since the texture and smell is a bit similar to that. Also, once it starts to run out, you may have to use your finger or a q-tip to get the rest out. However, that’s not a big con for me since this is the only product that is effective for my lips. I will repurchase. DHC - DHC Lip Cream
My Fav Lip Babes
I use DHC - DHC Lip Cream on a day-to-day basis and apply it whenever my lips feel dry. However, the lip balm itself is too soft and easily becomes deformed after being used. Occasionally, I use fresh - Sugar Lip Polish Exfoliator to remove dead skin cells. Its scent is really appetizing! I'll use Plift Placenta and Vitamin C Lip Essence at night. I've also tried LANEIGE - LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask , which is the only product I threw away without finishing. It was fine when I used it continuously, but my lips peeled like crazy once I stopped using it. Since it's also not fragrance-free, I decided to stop using it. My lips felt a lot better after switching to this lip essence.
Powder exfoliation 💆🏽♀️
This is such an affordable powder exfoliator, all you do is pour some into your hand and add a little water it turns into a bubbly cleanser than gently exfoliates the skin 💕 I’ve been using it for a month now and so far it’s been great for my combo skin definitely do recommend.
DHC J-beauty Face Wash
DHC - Face Wash Powder This is a perfect face wash if you have oily or combination skin like mine. It is a foaming face wash that exfoliates very gently. Texture is powder at first and once you mix with water, it lathers very nicely. DHC is a Japanese beauty (J-beauty) product line and I’ve been interested in trying them for a long time! It finally came to ULTA last year and I tried it for the first time. I’ve been in love since then. I like how gentle this face wash is and I recommend it for anyone with irritated skin. The price is affordable and totally worth it.
The volition beauty Celery Green Cream with HA + Peptides. This cream is perfect for summer and those with oily skin. 🌱✨ Second, the dhc Uramai Line which includes the Soap, Lotion, and Cream. The packaging is gorgeous! The name, Urumai, is a hybrid of the Japanese words urumi (moisture) and mai (rice). These products contain ingredients such as rice peptides, ginger extract, aloe leaf juice, olive fruit oil, and silver ear mushroom. Suitable for all skin types, but ideal for dry and sensitive skin. ✨ . Last is the caudalie LE Beauty Elixir. It’s the same formula, just a new pretty pink bottle! For those of you who are not familiar, It a cult favorite mist that tones, tightens pores, sets makeup, and promotes a gorgeous glow. 🌱 ✨
I wish I had the words to describe how much love I have for DHC♦️ . If I had the words I would surely spill them out of my mouth. I keep trying their products and I am consistently amazed by the quality and effectiveness of them! ♦️ . Not to mention everything is super affordable and there is such a wide range of products for any skin type or concern. ♦️ . These are just a few products I’ve been testing out from DHC♦️ . They are: . The Astaxanthin Collagen All-in-One Gel: ———————————————————— . This gel (which is safe for all skin types) tones, hydrates, and brightens skin all in one step! It also of course contains Astaxanthin, which is an antioxidant that is said to be 6,000 times more powerful than Vitamin C. That’s pretty dang incredible! The brightening effects of this stuff makes me want to throw away all of my Vitamin C products and only use this, forever! ♥️ . The Tone Soothing Lotion: ————————————— This is a super mild and gentle toner that is formulated with serine to condition and alcloxa to soothe mild irritation. This toner is perfect for those with aggravated complexions and those with sensitive skin. I go for this toner after sun exposure or when I have a breakout because it’s so gentle and won’t irritate my skin. Did I mention that the bottle is glass? My favorite! ♥️ . The Olive Virgin Oil Swabs: ————————————— These little individually-wrapped 100% cotton swabs are saturated with Olive Oil. These are literally the best invention ever! They are perfect for cleaning up eyeliner and removing that stubborn makeup stuck in your eye creases and lashes. I can no longer live my life without these!♥️
Closed comedones breakout
BACKSTORY: A few weeks ago I had no idea what was going on because my skin has never broken out before! I’ve practically had pretty clear skin all of my life. WHAT HAPPENED?? : I’m 22 now and I tried out oil cleansing to clear out my black heads... worst. mistake. of my life. It completely broke me out into tiny little bumps that were skin colored and it was gross genuinely gross. When I would wash my face or run my fingers on my face it was bumpy practically everywhere. Specifically my t zone forehand was minimal, cheeks around my nose, around my mouth and chin. My skin was super textured everywhere. Then BOOM!!! 💥 my face exploded into a ton of pimples one after the other it seemed like it was never going to get better. One would heal and 3 new ones would pop up. I tried everything underneath the sun. I had many breakdowns and breakouts! My skin is finally getting better and could not be more thankful!!!! WHAT BROKE ME OUT: DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil and Lip Cream Gift Set - This is really just is not for everyone. ROUTINE: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin - The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I find it drying but it’s been helping a lot!! #Dr. Eddie’s - Happy Cappy[products]#[FiveStars] - This contains zinc pyrthione which helps so much with acne, closed comedones, fungal acne and it’s a shampoo for babies so i found it to be really gentle on the skin CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 - again I didn’t find it to be super moisturizing, but it’s okay I need to find something non comedogenic that will help my stay hydrated. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • MY SKIN TYPE: I stripped down to the basics and just for reference I have comboish skin (oilier T zone, dry/normal everywhere else) although lately it’s been more dry since I started moisturizing which is odd but really I need to find a better moisturizer. **** These pictures were taken 6 days apart **** 📷 September 9th - September 15th I hope someone finds this helpful ❤️ if they have experienced an oil cleansing disaster like I did
PLEASE HELP! I don’t know what I’m doing wrong!
I started using the DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil and Lip Cream Gift Set late June in order to get rid of my black heads. And it worked until the rest of my face was covered in little bumps. It was absolutely awful and gross. It was like every single pore on my skin was filled with something. My skin is not typically like this as you can see, the picture on the left is what my skin usually looks like. After I stopped using the cleanser I looked up at how to get rid of these bumps. And it worked but now I’m trying to get rid of these pimples and I don’t know what to do! I’ve tried everything under the sun. My skin is pretty sensitive. I really need help if anyone can give me some suggestions or anything I would greatly appreciate it ❤️ I really don’t know what I’m doing wrong because I’ve seriously tried everything I still have some left over bumps but not nearly like before. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • My skin routine (BEFORE) DHC cleanser Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser - kind of drying but gentle ST. Ives - Acne Control Face Scrub With Salicylic Acid - I know people hate this one but it helped my skin i’ve been using it since I was 14 I’m 22 now. MARIO BADESCU - Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater - I like this one but it’s also really drying on me because of alcohol in it. These are the only things I would use on my face before. And would only wash my face 3 to 4 times a week. • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • My skin routine (NOW) AM: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin - kind of drying to my face CeraVe - AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion SPF 30 - not too moisturizing and really thick PM: CeraveCeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin Or alternate with CeraVe - SA Smoothing Cleanser - trying this one out to see if it helps. FARMACY - Deep Sweep - I love this one so much more than the paulas choice I feel like this is really gentle on the skin CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin - Really hydrating ——————————————————————————————— I’ve been trying to be pretty simple not too complex or introduce too many new things I’ve also tried applying aloe Vera from the plant itself

I picked up the dhc cleansing oil, one of the most raved about makeup removing products, and let me just say I’m glad I got it during the ulta sale lol It removes makeup pretty well, but it’s a thicker cleansing oil compared to ones I’ve used in the past. I find myself having to tug at my skin just to spread it around my face. It takes way too long to work into the skin. Love that it gets rid of almost all of my makeup but I don’t see myself repurchasing. It works well and does what it’s supposed to but it’s just too thick for my liking. If you don’t mind a thicker oil I suggest you pick this up. DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil .
DHC-Deep Cleansing Oil
A personal fave!🤲🏾
I love this DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil ! It’s a very simple formula with simple ingredients.🙏🏾 I believe this was my first cleansing oil and I’m so glad that I started using it. Double cleansing has had a tremendous impact on my skin’s moisture, plumpness, and brightness.🤗 1 pump is more than enough, morning and night, although some people just double cleanse at night. I think that this product works for every skin type because it’s just that gentle. It has the same consistency as olive oil (it contains olive oil). Not too thick, not too light. It lasted about 3 months for me🙌🏾 $28 for 6.7 fl oz
DHC-Deep Cleansing Oil
DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil Love this cleansing oil! It is very simple and basic but that is it strength. It is simple yet effective and I really enjoy using it as a first step in my double cleanse. I don’t have much else to say about this other than I recommend it!
DHC-Deep Cleansing Oil
My fave oil cleanser! Great for oil plugs!
I find this cleansing oil to be a great consistency and I enjoy using it. But my absolute favorite way to use it is to massage my face with it with the goal of removing oil plugs. When normally using it, I massage it into my skin for a minute, rinse with warm water and then follow up with my regular cleanser. This is great for removing oils, make up, and sunscreen. But, as a treat I sometimes use it to remove oil plugs. After my shower I take 2 pumps of it and massage it into my face for about 10 minutes. After a couple minutes you’ll notice that you’ll have a few ‘oil plugs’ that you’ve massaged out of your skin. Once finished, wet a clean cloth with warm water and gentle remove the oil and follow up with my regular cleanser. I do this about once a week.
DHC-Deep Cleansing Oil
DHC’s Deep Cleansing Oil is an olive oil based cleanser that dissolves gunk off of your face, turns and emulsifies into a milky texture upon contact with water that does not leave any type of residue. Even if I don’t wear make-up everyday I find myself reaching for this to remove excess oil and sunscreen, and it is overall great at removing those thoroughly. This is ideal for normal-combo skin types but works for any just as good. I didn’t quite like this at first cause I thought it felt a bit like dry oil but I found out that I was using too little (cause I was trying to save it LMAO), saw somewhere that there’s a right amount of oil to equally remove oil from your face so it’s best to use enough than too little (don’t be like me, kids!!!!)
