this week’s at-home mani/pedi 💅🏾💦 poolside!
we just got back from a lovely staycation, which gave me some good opportunities to relax and pamper. i tried another mani.me product - this time its ManiMe - To Have and To Hold . the design was really cute - the majority of the nail is a sheer pink shade, and there is a silver moon at the cuticle. it’s very similar to my wedding manicure! mani.me was pretty easy to use - the only trouble that i have is smoothing down the edges for a few of the nails. i have shorter nails, so i use a nail clipper + file to get a close, smooth final look.
for toes, i used all of my holy grail products - ORLY - Orly Base Coat & Top Coat as the base coat, OPI - Long Lasting Nail Polish Infinite Shine 2 in ‘put it in neural’ core color, and OLIVE&JUNE - Nail Polish Topcoat for my top coat. all of these products *just* *work*. i have been doing at-home manicures since the start of COVID lockdown and these are my favorites in each category.

this week’s at-home mani 💁🏾♀️ with OPI!
i used to exclusively wear lavender nail polish - it’s feminine, flirty, a little unexpected ... but still pretty neutral and (dare i say) professional (at least a little bit!). i was so happy to come across this OPI - Infinite Shine Nail Polish Strengthening in ‘polly want a lacquer?’ it’s a gorgeous spring/summer shade. the infinite shine formula is pretty sturdy - i can go at least five days with no chips, which is pretty good for a non-gel polish. i definitely want to check out more of these shades.
i can’t reiterate enough that ORLY - Orly Base Coat & Top Coat and OLIVE&JUNE - Nail Polish Topcoat are the best base and top coat products that i have tried. the olive & june product even creates a gel manicure-like look - i highly recommend these products.

Orly Addiction Strong
Do you know vegan and cruelty free isnt as common as you think? Theres a list, but sadly most of the every big brands arent cruelty free.
I made a list a few years ago. it's only changed by a difference in 5 brands.
Orly is one of those cruelty free brands one of my favorite nail polishes for colors and these colors are on sale for $4.75 on their main website @orlybeautyORLY - Orly Nail Lacquer

Changed my nail shapes in 15 min! My secret is...🤫
I love long nails, but it is a shame that my natural nails are just super short. Luckily, I found a way to change my nail shape quickly! That is, getting silk nails!
Silk nails look quite natural compared to other fake nails, but still, get enough hardness just like hard gel nails. Therefore, this type of artificial nails is ideal for girls who want to get cute and natural nail designs. In the photo, I also applied some ORLY - Orly Nail Lacquer for a lovely yellow look for my graduation day! But if you wanna keep your nails simple and natural, you can just apply several thin coats of nude nail polishes like le mini macaron - Gel Polish Nude. But remember it's better to use normal nail polishes instead of peel-off ones as they are easy to fall out when applied on fake nails.
Apart from natural-looking, silk nails are also long-lasting and budget-friendly, especially when compared to gel nails or acrylic nails. Moreover, they don't harm your natural nails! I'll never get enough of silk nails, haha.💅
Have you ever tried silk nails? How do you feel about them?
