Fall Nails with CND 🍁// Lasts Up to 1 Week
First of all, I’m not the best at painting my own nails so please don’t be too harsh. 😄😓 I usually get my nails done and go for a gel mani. I lived a really fast-paced life style and was always on the go pre-covid. But now I am able to work from home and slow down a bit. Also nail salons are closed so I have to paint my own nails. I don’t like to do gel nail polishes that have to be cured under the light...not to do myself at least. I tried doing it myself and my nails end up being damaged plus it’s hard to remove so I gravitate towards gel polishes that can be applied like regular polish. I really enjoy Essie’s gel couture, but that doesn’t have as many color options so I go for CND. Sally Hansen’s gel system is great too, but I’d say Essie and CND are my go-tos. This is a 2 step system. You don’t need a base coat, but I honestly prefer a base coat. I use a strengthening base and then CND’s base coat. I find it lasts longer. However, it is optional. CND - Stickey Base Coat Nail Tek - Moisturizing Strengthener 2 This one is in the shade “Hypnotic Dreams”. It is a chameleon shade so it shifts from green to purple depending on the light. This one is perfect for fall in my opinion. This one applied sheer, but buildable. I am wearing 3 coats. It was easy to apply and the brush was on the smaller side so it isn’t too messy. I used the CND top coat as well and it dries in 8 minutes. The top coat dries shiny and has a satin finish. This can be purchased at Walgreens, Target and Walmart. CND - Gel-Like Effect Long Wear Top Coat CND - Vinylux Long Wear Polish What’s your favorite gel polishes? Francesca 💋

BEST BASECOAT
CND - Stickey Base Coat Ok this is BY FAR the best base coat nail polish I have ever used. This polish can be found on Amazon it Ulta and it’s only $8.50. I start with clean hands, and I make sure I wash off any moisturizer or oils that may be on my hands before painting my nails. Then I apply a thin even coat all over the nail. And after that I use the polish of my choice over top. I work in a hospital, I wash my hands all day everyday. This base coat will make sure your polish lasts and lasts without chipping. I can usually get a good 5-7 days out of a manicure without major chips, and to me that’s huge! I recommend this to everyone who asks me anything about nail polish 🤣

Weekly Polish? Last for 7 days ? Would not purchase again!💔😡
CND - Vinylux Weekly PolishVinylux seemed to be a wonderful creation, but sadly, it did not work for me.   Last for 7 days? NO! The claim of 7 days manicure was misleading and not true! This is the first time I’ve tried polishing my nails with CND Vinylux Weekly Polish and I am really not impressed. I bought 2 colors plus the top coat due to the promise of lasting 7 days. However It lasts 2 days tops and the it chips as any other nail polish will do. DO NOT wash dishes (only about once a week), I have a sedentary job, I do not wash my hands more than the average person. It is beyond frustrating to spend so much time on my nails only to have it ruined many hours later, when most other polishes would have dried and been fine.Weekly nail polish that chips within 48 hours. Maybe it should be called 'weekend polish' instead?   Smooth? NO! Also, it was thick and streaky. Just a horrid, gloopy mess! Shades with 'frost' tend to be gloppy, those without tend to be uneven and steaky.   Bright color? NO! About the colors, I have noticed that while the finish is very shiny on day #1, by one day later it has dulled significantly. The awesome color doesn't matter when it looks like crap.   Good for nail health? NO! Worst of all, it can eat away at my nails, making them very porous and fragile. After using it for a couple of weeks my nails became very brittle, broke off and peeled back. It really damaged my nails. My nails are strong, they grow fast (for reference), and after a few USES, they've bent, broken, and look very dry. I wouldn't recommend this vinyl nail polish to anyone. I'm not wasting my money on this brand again!

CND - Vinylux Weekly Polish I’ve been obsessed with this color (field fox). I just repainted my nails and topped it with Vinylux’s clear topcoat and had to take a photo! Iove how this polish wears and how it lasts. It’s like having the look of gel nails with having the ease of regular polish to remove. I’ve already purchased a second back-up. But thinking of adding a new color to my arsenal...any suggestions?

Easy & Game-changing✨4 steps to perfect nails at home!
As a kind of impatient girl, I've searched on the internet so long to build a simple nail care routine for my damaged nails. Here's an easy one that I finally got and actually helpful: Step 1: Clean Starting with a quick clean-up of the cuticles with a flexible cuticle remover. First, I'd like to drop some #KellyKessa - KellyKessa cuticle softener[products]# on my nails, then massage the drops in and then gently push back the cuticles with a cuticle remover. After that, I'll rinse off my nails with warm water. Personally, I don't cut up all my cuticles as even a smattering of them help protect my nails and reduce the risk of infections. Step 2: Trim and file Use a flexible nail clipper to shape and smooth out the edges of my nails. You can trim your nails in whatever shapes you fancy but I'd kindly remind you that coffin nails are more likely to breakage. Step 3: Moisturize Next, I'll moisturize my nails using a nourishing cuticle oil also from KellyKessa, which smells amazing and quite hydrating. During this process, I'll also smooth my hands with TOCCA - Crema Da Mano Hand Cream Giulietta, which has a lightweight formula and never makes me feel sticky. Step 4: Treatment Later, I'll apply CND - Vinylux Rescue Rxx Treatment to my nails for extra nourishment. This nail treatment contains jojoba oils and sweet almond oils to strengthen nails powerfully. Finally, I'll end up with OPI - OPI Natural Nail Strengthenerto apply a protecting layer on my nails. This product is my favorite nail strengthener, as it makes my nails quite even and strong.  Okay, that's my nail care routine! This is an easy nail care routine with only 4 steps and typically takes me 15 minutes. Hope you guys enjoy it!  What're your nail care tips? Drop your words below xoxo!

DIY: At-home Mani!
My nails (pre-COVID) sucked. I had to wear bio-gel nails because of how much they would break. But when things closed, it forced me to change my routine (for the better). To be completely honest, my nails look better now than they ever did before so I might keep my own at-home routine going indefinitely! S T E P S : 1. NAIL SOAK: I finally found a use for all those facial cleansers that my skin simply couldn’t handle! I put a few pumps into a bowl with warm water to soak (and soften) the nails and cuticles. I leave each hand for about 3-5 minutes. NUXE - Rêve De Miel Face and Body Ultra-Rich Cleansing Gel 2. CUTICLE CARE: as a first step I will grab a cuticle pusher (got mine off of amazon for under $7), and push all the cuticle down to expose more nail bed. Then if there is a lot of excess cuticle skin (and some hang nails) I grab my cuticle nipper and gently trim those pieces off. 3. NAIL FILING: I usually won’t cut my nails unless I am losing some serious length (broken nail for example). I instead opt for nail filing with a medium grit (180 grit to be exact). I like to change up my nail shape depending on my mood or colour choice for that week too! Not sure what grit is? Don’t worry, it’s something I had to look up at first before purchasing too 😉 The grit is how course the nail file is. So, for example you will use a much lower grit for acrylic nails, and then increase the number depending on how thick your nails are. For very thin or brittle nails, I would suggest something 240 or higher. 4. OIL: CND - Vinylux Rescue Rxx Treatment I LOVE this product for my nails. I spread it around the nails beds then massage the excess onto the entire nail. I leave it for a few minutes to absorb before continuing. The keratin strengthens, while the jojoba oil in this product is fantastic for moisturizing! In my case I had really, really brittle nails that peeled easily. It didn’t matter what I used, they peeled or even got white spots. Since I began using this, I haven’t had this issue. 5. GROWTH TREATMENT: Nail HQ - Growth Sally Hansen - Nail Rehab I use both of these products interchangeably. I prefer the NAIL HQ, I find that my nails grew noticeably faster when I used this product regularly. The best part about this specific product is I can regularly find it at a Marshall’s for half price (so I don’t feel guilty over using it). 6. MOISTURIZE: THE BODY SHOP - Hemp Hand Protector I worked at The Body Shop when I was in College and honestly got hooked on this hand cream. It’s been my tried and true since 2008! The smell isn’t my fav, but it’s not awful. You also don’t need a lot of it to do the trick! If I recommended one thing to add to your routine it would be the CND RescueRXX, hands down. Nothing short of miraculous! Hope this inspires some DIY! ✌🏼

My DIY work-from-home manicure
Working from home amidst COVID-19 was theoretically supposed to give me more time for leisure, but ever since quarantine began in early March, I’ve found myself busier than ever. So I found a quick DIY manicure alternative: press-on nails. I know what you may be thinking and, believe me, I too once believed that press-on nails were tacky, but it’s truly all about the brand that you buy and how you put them on. Your options are pretty much unlimited too. Press-on nails allow you complete control in terms of color and style. They’re super easy and quick to apply and should last you a good two to three weeks! Application is exactly what it sounds like: simply apply a drop of nail glue (which is usually included) onto the appropriate fake nail and then press it on, applying pressure until the glue has a chance to set. It’s a good idea to make sure that your real nails are taken care of before and after applying anything on top of them. I like to clip my nails and cuticles to prep them for press-ons and again after I take them off. I also paint a coat of keratin solution on to make my nails strong and healthy. My favorite brand is CND - Rescuerxx Intensive Daily Keratin Cuticle Treatment Oil When applying press-ons make sure not to use too much nail glue because this stuff is no joke and WILL adhere to everything, making you a sticky mess if not careful. Most press-on nail shapes also won’t be a perfect fit to your own nail because every one of us has differently shaped fingers, so shape the width of the press-on before application with a filer. Also make sure to apply a good amount of pressure for enough time while pressing the fake nail on in order to avoid air bubbles which can give you nail fungus over time (ew). I like to wait a good minute for each nail. When you’re ready to take them off, soak your fingers in nail polish remover to safely remove them and afterwards give your real nails another coat of love with keratin solution. I’m wearing ARDELL - Nail Addict Red Cateye False Nails here which I absolutely adore. They’re inexpensive yet high quality, long lasting, and there’s plenty of different styles to choose from. Try them out and let me know what you think!

Drugstore Surprise: CND Cuticle Oil
Drugstore Surprise: CND Cuticle Oil
I’m such a bad nail biter and always go for my cuticles when they’re super dry. This year, I’ve really been trying to be better about not biting and have found that using a cuticle oil regularly really helps. My fave is CND’s Solar Oil, which is super hydrating and makes it so I have nothing to pick at. I think it’s less than $10 and you can get it at Ulta or Amazon.CND - Solar Oil Nail and Cuticle Conditioner

Unicorn Nails
Unicorn Nails
This was such a fun colour for the summer. The pink shellac top coat looks amazing. My esthetician nicknamed this look “unicorn nails” 🦄 and really what else could this colour be called! This looks amazing with a good tan and is perfect for a vacation beach look, with a white bikini..... 🔥 The only downside to this product is that it is really hard to remove. Shellac polish on its own is a process to remove, so adding a powder and extra topcoat takes it to a whole nother level. CND - Shellac Silver Chrome

My all time go to
My all time go to
This is my all time go to shellac. Field Fox by CND. This is the colour I get whenever I don’t know what else to get. Like when I need my nails done but don’t have a plan for the colour. It is my absolute fave neutral. It goes with EVERYTHING! And it is a year round colour. It really is my ultimate. I get so many compliments on it when I have it on. I even wore it on my wedding day. It’s flattering on all skin tones. I would recommend this colour for any event, it will always go with your outfit. The one thing I hate is picking a nail colour only to have it look hideous with an outfit the next day. You won’t have this with Field Fox 🤍🦊CND - Shellac Field Fox
