Are you ready for fall?🕯🍂
I love rosehip seed oil, especially when the weather starts to change. It gives me a warm glowing feeling inside and out! pura d'or - 100% Rosehip Seed Oil Many people massage this into their face twice a day. I do this only at night before bed a few times a week for a boost. I use gentle massaging techniques from acupressure courses I have taken in the past. The idea is to move fluid from the center of your face and flow everything downwards. I can do a video tutorial on this later. I just purchased a Gua Sha and Jade Roller, so on the days where you are too lazy for a proper massage, there are great for working the oil into your skin! The Benefits of Rosehip Seed Oil Brightens dull acne prone skin Natural fatty acids moisturize Vitamin A and C help fine lines and wrinkles All of the natural fatty acids and vitamins help fight scars, (a Maskne recovery necessity! ) Astringent properties help tighten pores and brighten up skin Evens out skin tone and helps with hyperpigmentation Helps with elasticity and tightens skin If you don't have acne prone skin, and your skin is dry and flakey, mixing this with baking soda makes a wonderful exfoliating Facewash that doesn't dry out your skin. Although this is a fine product to use as a moisturizer for acne, if you use it as a cleanser you may find it doesn't clean out as much sebum as you need it to and it won't help prevent breakouts. It is amazing for dry skin that is not prone to acne though! If you are into natural skincare this is a clean and pure ingredient anyone needs in their routine💖✨

TUMERIC + CHLOROPHYLL??
NOTE: I drank a bottle of wine and applied this mask so i can’t show the other half of my face 💃🏼 I’m back on the Cocokind train. I had tried this combo a few months back but got distracted trying other mask rotations. I’ve been told coconut oil is actually bad for your skin and a big pore clogger - which makes sense. So I was always hesitant to use it. BUT, I use it sparingly and I’ve only seen benefits. After I wash, I tone, & mist I apply the cocokind - Turmeric stick to problem areas. This ranges between large pores, blackheads and breakouts. Ends up being my whole face tbh. After this, I dump some of the cocokind - Chlorophyll mask powder and mix into my cute mask bowl ( i 🤍 pottery) with some water. I’m loving using brushes instead of my hands when I apply masks... i feel boujie and it feels right. After washing (I have to use a light cleanser to get ALL of the yellow off my skin) my face feels sooo fresh. I’ve started purging after using the The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution a couple days ago and the Cocokind combo is a great “rest day” mask. The result does feel a little dry but my skin feels brighter and tighter immediately! Dry is ok though because I follow this up with my heavier moisturizer and seal with 100% compressed rose hip oil - I use pura d'or - 100% Rosehip Seed Oil ✴️ I think the tumeric is actually the better product here even though the chlorophyll has the clout. The mask works well but is MESSY (maybe I’m just an animal) and I smell like a creature from the black lagoon. This ends up being a more time consuming mask rotation overall. I would definitely recommend for a refresh after using harsher products earlier in the week! Has anyone tried this? Is it worth the hype? 💚💚💚💚

I started a hair journey awhile back with a company called Pura d'or and I am so happy that I came across the company. As many of us know the older we get our hair changes. We can have female pattern hair-loss. Hair loss can come from stress, some medications, hormone changes, certain hairstyles and even be hereditary. I have found a company that has helped with thinning hair, hair breakage and just all around amazing to bring back beautiful thick hair. Purador Shampoo conditioner duo
Have been using this duo a lot lately from @pura_dor✨ I'm always on a lookout for a good shampoo conditioner for my hair. I have quite long hair and it's sometimes difficult to manage it and take care of it. This duo from @pura_dor has been saving my hair a lot lately. This formula is infused with vitamins and botanicals to help reduce hair thinning and hair falling. It has some amazing blend of herbal properties and oils like argan oil and amla oil. Amla oil is great for hair in all aspects and I'm glad this one contains it. This also has biotin to help strengthen the hair roots and prevent them from falling. I definitely see a difference in my hair in terms of hair fall. It's a great duo if you're looking for thickening your hair and preventing hair fall.

The result to an effective skin care routine!
A year ago, I started being lazy and was not following my skin care routine. To give a little background about me, I’m a nurse who does shift work, so on days where I come off from a night shift, I would shower and only rinsed my face with water without using a cleanser. I then would apply my night cream and go to sleep. Fast forward, I started developing this tiny little bumps all over my face, occasional break out, hyperpigmentation and uneven texture. I would exfoliate at times but became inconsistent with it so It didn’t really clear up my skin. Back in March of this year, I became more frustrated as it was taking longer for me to clear up my skin and these tiny little bumps kept coming back (no they were not fungal acne as they were bigger in size and reddened)so I decided to change up my skin care products and made up a routine similar to the ones I see on my social media platform. SKIN TYPE Normal- Dry Combination Skin, Sensitive Morning Routine - Gentle Cleanser CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin - Vit C pura d'or - 20% Vitamin C Serum - Niacinamide The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% - HA depending on my mood. I use different kinds . HADALABO - Gokujyun Premium Lotion or COSRX - Hyaluronic Acid Hydra Power Essence - Moisturizer if I feel like my face needs extra hydration otherwise I would skip this part CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin or LA ROCHE-POSAY - Lipikar Balm AP + Body Cream - SUNSCREEN!! LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 or LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer UV SPF 30 NIGHT ROUTINE - Double Cleanse heimish - Heimish All Clean Balm or The Ordinary - Squalane Cleanser followed by CeraVe - Hydrating Face Cleanser For Normal To Dry Skin - Toner COSRX - AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner or PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator - If I am not using any of the toners mentioned above, then I would use this The Ordinary - Lactic Acid 10% + HA On the nights I use retinol, I don’t use any chemical exfoliants at all PAULA'S CHOICE - Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment, 30ml - Moisturizer CeraVe - Moisturizing Cream For Normal To Dry Skin -Facial Oil The Ordinary - 100% Plant-Derived Squalane or DERMA•E - Rejuvenating Sage & Lavender Face Oil This was my routine for 4 months. And now of course I’ve changed up few things in my routine. All of these products helped cleared up my skin issues. As you can see, my face is looking much better!!

Rehydrating Colored/Highlighting Hair Pt 2
Alright! Here’s Part 2 tips to rehydrating Color-treated/Highlighted dry hair! 1. Prepare to Revamp Your Haircare Routine! No, you don’t have to toss everything you have and buy all sorts of new things. On our first post, we talked about washing your hair less. Here’s how that can impact the products you choose/already have. When you wash your hair less, you’ll see more oil production on your scale and the rest of your hair. If you have a multitude of heavy hydrating/silicone based products and you continue to use them, you might start to get more build up on your scalp. Explore haircare products that may be lighter with their hydration. Do keep at least one product that is deep conditioning and use as needed or less of it as you go. More oil production/change + extra products that all focus on hydration/smoothing when your scalp is already trying to give you the oil that you need = more weight on your hair and possible extra build up. Hopefully, that makes sense. Now remember everyone is different, this is just based on my experience. What you can do is focus your haircare on “clarifying” the scalp (getting a shampoo that cleans the hair but not strip all the oils out of it. This is to avoid product build up for the time being. The bottle doesn’t have to say clarifying but do watch out for SLS, or sister ingredients similar to it. I absolutely prefer shampoos WITHOUT Sodium Lauryl Sulfate(SLS), as this is too harsh on the hair. This is an ingredient that is located everywhere, even dish soap). The photo shows a shampoo bar that I’ve been using and it’s awesome! You’ll have to find it on Etsy though. It’s 10 bucks and I’m still on my first bar! Focus on only cleaning the scalp area. The rest of whatever shampoo you use/have on your head will clean the middle to ends of your hair as you rinse it out. This will help avoid stripping the oils from your ends. As your hair grows and goes farther away from the scalp, the less oil there is in those areas. 2. Spot Treating With Hydrating Products I use a shampoo bar, conditioner bar, and an occasional leave in conditioner or hydration oil for “spot treatment”. Not every strand of hair is created equal. You may notice in some area you may have more damage, frizz, or dryness than others. The top of your hair may be nice and healthy and then the bottom might look like a rats nest. There’s no problem to that, but you may be a great candidate for “spot treatment”. Spot treatment is just adding a little bit of love to those specific areas that might need an extra bit of help. Experiment with different types of oils to use on your hair for extra hydration and focus it on areas that are more dry. I use pura d'or - Gold Argan Oil The oil may not be for you if you feel like it just “sits” on top of your hair rather than drying with it. Be mindful not to use to much either.

I tried the cheapest Vit C Serum: was it worth?!
I tried the cheapest Vit C Serum: was it worth?!
HONEST FEMME FINDS: All I gotta say is wow, never before have I seen a 4oz bottle of vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) serum formulated with Ferulic acid and vitamin E (both stabilizers of Vit C) for only $15. I bought this off of Amazon prime so I actually got a discount and ended up with this product for only $12. That is actually insane because the original formulation by skinceuticals goes for $166 for only 1oz. Patent concerns aside, that is 55x more than what I just paid for. Of course, cheap isn’t always better. This serum by Pura D’or does not go without many many flaws. Here are some of my thoughts: pura d'or - 20% Vitamin C Serum Quantity: this product claims to be shelf stable for 12 months which is kind of suspicious to me as Vit C in its true form is supposed to oxidize easily but if they say so... Impressions and Usage: even before I opened the bottle, I immediately noticed the smell. An herbal floral smell that confused me because there were no obvious fragrances on the ingredient list. Upon application, a sharp and funky scent lingers. I dunno if I want to smell like a grandma quite yet. Then I saw that the fourth ingredient was witch hazel, which may be the culprit. I’ve never used witch hazel before, as I avoid drying products in my skincare. Let’s just say that the witch hazel definitely does its job. Immediately upon application, my skin felt tighter and later in the day, it felt super dry regardless of the usual moisturizers I layered on. The scent and witch hazel are big NOs for me but if you have oily skin, maybe give this a try? Otherwise I’d say it’s a hard pass. The consistency is also extremely watery which is not what I’d expect from a normal serum. I’d say it’s more of an astringent toner to pair with an additional serum at best. Otherwise, the ingredient list looks great, with aloe leaf extract, white jelly mushroom extract, glycerine and HA high on the list. The Verdict: Even though I questioned whether I’d be able to finish all this serum in a short amount of time, that’s not the real problem here. $12 for 4oz of Vit C + Ferulic Acid is indeed a steal; however, at the end of the day, it’s all about how the product sits on my face. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to attest to its effectiveness because I simply can’t stand to be near this serum. Cheers to the ongoing search for a good L-ascorbic acid 🥂
