Skin update 🥺
This update isn’t a positive one Nor negative just showing something I’m going through at the moment ,it looks like cystic acne And the reason I feel like I’ve gotten it is because last week I was extremely busy and simply did not change my pilot cases even though regularly changing my sheets My left cheek was much worse yesterday but as soon as I noticed what was going on I started on the solution so hoping to update my skin next week with a full transformation Cleanser - GOOD MOLECULES - Clarify & Cleanse Bar Double cleanse- PAULA'S CHOICE - RESIST Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser Serum- (only when my skin is dry or dull) PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum Moisturizer- BIOSSANCE - Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer

Does FOOD belong in SKINCARE or SMOOTHIES?🍑🥬🍯
Fruits, vegetables, and other ingredients that we consume are commonly used in marketing for skincare products, claiming certain benefits. But do all natural foods belong in skincare? See for yourself 😉 🍯 Honey : anti-inflammatory, balances bacteria, speeds up healing of the skin. Often used in products for combatting acne. Very effective, but you should try not to smear raw honey on your face as it could clog your pores if not properly treated. Farmacy is famous for its line of products that effectively use honey! My favorite is FARMACY - Honeymoon Glow Serum which chemically exfoliates while also soothing and moisturizing to prevent irritation. 🥬 Celery : Ingesting celery juice is the latest trend in health and wellness, because it has such a high water content (over 95%) and contains antioxidants including vitamin C. However, adding celery to skincare is likely just a marketing trick, as it likely only adds some extra water to the product, and the antioxidant content likely needs to be boosted with other forms in order to get the best effect. The VOLITION - Celery Green Cream Beauty is hydrating enough for a day cream, but I don’t think including celery makes it all that revolutionary. 🍵 Matcha : Powerful antioxidant and antibiotic. The chlorophyll which makes matcha such a bright green actually helps to convert sunlight to energy and therefore protect our skin from photo-aging. The ECGC compound in matcha is also anti-bacterial and is very helpful for fighting and soothing acne. The Krave - Matcha Hemp Hydrating Cleanser is easily my favorite cleanser due to how gentle and effective it is! 🍑 Peach : Anti-inflammatory, moisturizing, promotes skin metabolism, anti-bacterial, and antioxidant. The leaves contain amino acids, flavanoids, and tannins which are all very beneficial to skin health. The PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum utilizes peach extract for this lovely serum that my skin absolutely drinks up! The results are amazing so I can’t help but believe that peaches are wonderful for our skin! 🍊 Orange : antioxidant, exfoliating, high vitamin C content. Could be irritating to sensitive skin types, especially oils from the peel. This goes for basically any citrus fruit, but it is still a very commonly used ingredient in skin care due to its antioxidant properties. In small doses it can be very beneficial, and it smells great, such as in the OLE HENRIKSEN - Truth Juice Daily Cleanser ! What do you think? Do foods belong in skincare? Whats your favorite food-ingredient? Let me know below!!👇🏼👇🏼

Stay Young Forever: Antioxidants 🍊
This is my favorite type of ingredient. If you’re looking for anti-aging, hyperpigmentation help, or even just prevention this is it! Antioxidants: You can find these in things around and even inside you. Vitamins such as A, C, and E have such a role in your life it’s crazy. Antioxidant main enemy is FREE RADICALS This free radicals are natural occurring and environment related stressors. They can be caused by the body’s metabolism or found in drugs, pesticides, cigarette smoke, and other pollutants. They over time damage cells and cause that portion of your body to not function properly. They are the most known for accelerating the aging process (mostly by diminishing collagen production). I love this chart because it lists the needs and skin types for each! My favorite is Vitamin C best to use during the daytime comes in many different forms helps the immune system (internal) Some of my faves 👇🏾 ORGANYS - ORGANYS Vitamin C Serum Seoul Ceuticals - 20% Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Serum Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum Resveratol : anti microbial produced by mostly fruits plants to protect from air pollution also cancer fighting expensive The Ordinary - Resveratrol 3% + Ferulic Acid 3% SKINCEUTICALS - RESVERATROL B E Nighttime Antioxidant Serum for face Vitamin E: needed by many organs helps quicken the skin healing process reduces stretch marks I like to get vitamin E in a oil form JĀSON - Vitamin E 5,000 I.U. Pure Natural Skin Oil NATURE'S BOUNTY - Vitamin E-Oil, 30,000 IU Green tea: If you’ve been following me you know I love green tea best for soothing quicken skin healing great for aging, rosacea, and my acne pickers TONYMOLY - I'm Real Green Tea Sheet Mask PEACH & LILY - Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream innisfree - Green Tea Balancing Cream EX Niacinamide: great for hyperpigmentation great for oil control helps diminish pores repairs skin barrier The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening TonerTHE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serum COQ10: AKA ubiquinone. Glass Skin Kit (Ulta Only)
So I’ll start with explaining the glass skin concept. Glass skin is an Asian beauty standard of looking 100% poreless. Peach and Lily is Korean skin care line created by a Korean Dermatologist. She believes Americans use to many harsh products on our skin making it irritating and therefore more reactive and need to understand that gentle is powerful. The line is based on that idea. I’ll start this review with each product in the set. Note: if you have acne prone skin I highly recommend using mild acne medicine to balance out the oils of your skin otherwise this system will make you break out. But this is easily avoided by using salicylic acid after the face wash step but before the essence step. I also personally use a pore toner before the salicylic acid. Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser: This is the cheapest product in the line. If you want to make it last more than a month make sure to wet you’re face before applying it helps spread it out. It does not foam much so don’t expect it to. I purchase this step generally each month. It smells like peaches and chamomile and is very gentle, leaving my skin clean and soft. I swear you can both see and feel the clean. It has never dried out my skin and it never makes it red. Wild Dew Treatment Essence: This step is unique to Asian skin care. It’s ingredients include lotus, bamboo, radish leaf, eucalyptus leaf, etc. extracts with niacinamide. I recommended applying with cotton balls. It’s definitely an oil (though a mild one) so it drips out slowly. It smells really good but if you’re skin is currently irritated you might find it stings a little but it will indeed help. Otherwise it doesn’t sting. I purchase this step every 2 months. Glass Skin Refining Serum: The main component of this step is a peptic complex. It also contains peach extract, wild yam, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, and madecassoside. It’s intention is to hydrate and firm skin without irritation. In fact that’s what this whole kit is meant to do. Because that how you get pores out of sight. I purchase this product every 2 1/2 months It’s kinda greasy feeling but also refreshing. As I mentioned in the above note this whole set will break out oily-combination skin types so consider mixing acne products with it or you will certainly break out. You need to balance out the oils on your skin if you want to keep it healthy. Matcha Pudding Antioxidant Cream: For oily-combination skin types use this sparingly. Very sparingly. A tiny smear has a powerful impact. I manage to make this stuff last 3 months at a time. But dryer skin types feel free to experiment. This cream is green as you would expect with matcha in the title. Matcha powder is known in Asia to brighten dull skin and give a healthy glow. It also has niacinamide and lilac extract in it. Although many creams feel heavy on your skin this one definitely does not and it’s does exactly what it promises-makes you bright and glowing. This line definitely made a difference.

How to Keep Clear Skin
Peach and Lily’s The Good Acids Pore Toner helps exfoliate dead skin cells and balance skin oils using alpha hydroxy acids, turmeric, cape lilac, and eggplant. It’s watery consistency means it comes out very fast which sucks but it helps to prepare my skin for the next step. It has no smell and can be used up to twice a day. Warning: This product may increase sensitivity to sunlight. Stop use if irritation occurs. Yes to Tomatoes: Acne Fighting Wipes contain only 1% salicylic acid as oppose to the general 2% used in most acne treatments. It also contains witch hazel which is a rumored astringent. One wipe works for my whole face so the 40 wipes in a bag last me exactly 40 days. It helps me maintain the balance of oils in my skin care routine while subtly preventing pimples from developing. The wipes are biodegradable so use them guilt free! Though when full sized pimples have already appeared this method will not be much help.

My skincare awards: toners
🥇GEORGETTE KLINGER - Vitamin C Toner $26 This is the toner that I've been using lately, I love the results of Georgette Klinger's Vitamin C line. I had a chance to try it thanks Georgette Klinger and Cherie. Leaves skin fresh and clean, helps diminish dark spots, calms redness, purifies pores and brightens dull skin tone. Its main ingredients: kakadu plum, aloe, withc hazel, watercress and elderflower. It is a lightweight liquid that absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave sticky. It definitely decreased the redness on my skin and has helped decrease dark spots. 🥈 PEACH & LILY - The Good Acids Pore Toner It is a gentle formula even with sensitive skin. Contains AHAs, salicylic acid, cape lilac, eggplant, turmeric extracts, aloe and allantoin. I had the opportunity to try it thanks to a BoxyCharm box. I have used it a few times but I liked it, it doesn’t cause irritation and absorbs quickly, its texture is liquid and it has no odor. It is ideal for oily and combination skin. It is definitely a gentle exfoliating toner that doesn’t cause irritation, making it ideal for even the most sensitive skin. ❌ YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Kombucha + 11% AHA Exfoliation Power Toner $38 Long ago I did a review of this toner, I had used it for two weeks and my first impression was that it didn’t absorb well, since it leaves sticky feeling. In fact they mention it on their website, but for me that feeling is unbearable. I found it as a new product at Sephora and bought it to try it out as I had a good experience with the cleanser. I still have the same opinion of that time, the truth is that I wouldn’t buy it again. Its main ingredients: kombucha black tea fermented, tree bark ferment, ginger, lactic acid, glycolic acid, citrus bioflavonoids and lemons water extract. Its texture is liquid, they say "liquid, lightweight", it has no added fragrance. Every time I use it, it causes a little irritation that goes away the next morning, but I think the Peach & Lily is gentler than this toner. It is used 3-5 times a week, at night. I definitely prefer the first two options as they don't irritate me. But I think it depends on your skin type, since many people do very well with YTTP toner.

AM Routine for Acne on the Mend
Lately my skin has been inflamed and an angry red basically outlining my mask. It has calmed down some after switching up my routine a bit and doing lots and lots of research combined with trial and error. Right now my morning routine includes the following steps and products to combat the irritation while also trying to prevent further flare ups: PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser My skin is very oily in the morning so I do like to use a gentle cleanser. I’ve been sticking with Peach and Lily’s cleanser since it doesn’t irritate or completely dry out my skin and overall I just love using it which helps with stressful mornings. GLOW RECIPE - Watermelon Glow PHA+BHA Pore-Tight Toner Then I move Onto a toner step. When my skin really flared up (multiple cystic acne spots and the whole bit) I stuck to a gentle toner like, Benton - Deep Green Tea Toner , but since my skin has calmed down a bit I’ve added Glow Recipe’s toner with PHA and BHA to help with some of the enlarged pores around my nose and to help prevent future breakouts from mask wearing. íUNIK - Tea Tree Relief Serum This serum really seems to help with my red, irritated skin. I’ve been using it for over a month now and can see a marked difference. It contains centella Asiatica for soothing and calming and tea tree leaf water for helping with inflammation along with other helpful ingredients and no added fragrance. GLOW RECIPE - Banana Soufflé Moisture Cream To lock all the goodness of the previous products in I top it off with the banana soufflé moisturize cream. My face is super oily and I have a tough time finding moisturizers that don’t leave my face sticky feeling afterwards. This moisture cream leaves my face soft and silky feeling. It’s a fairly light cream and is the best replacement I’ve found for the neutrogena hydroboost gel cream so far. Centella asiatica is also an ingredient in this cream. It does smell like bananas, which personally I adore! Questions, comments, recommendations?? Thanks for reading ❤️

Two new additions I have been obsessing over. 💕 ⠀⠀ My wallet questions whether PEACH & LILY - Super Reboot Resurfacing Mask is worth the splurge. It knows I can purchase The Ordinary’s AHA BHA for a fraction of its price but what it doesn’t know is how much my skin loves the Super Reboot. I’ve only used it a few times and so far I can tell that it is gentler on my skin (no post-redness) and it helps with my texture and dullness immediately. Oh and it’s hydrating. The Ordinary’s may be cheaper but it leaves my face red, my skin is left feeling tight, and it requires multiple uses to help with my texture. However, despite all that, TO’s still works effectively. So, I’m thinking my face > my wallet, and I may have to gently break the news to my checking account. ⠀⠀ When I am looking for a sunscreen, my only two main requests are for it to not leave my skin greasy like a pizza and to leave no white-cast. Normally it’s one or the other so I never really found a sunscreen that I enjoy applying...until I tried A'pieu - Pure Block Natural Daily Sun Cream SPF45 PA+++ . It has only been a week since I’ve started using it but it has satisfied both my requests and it has a nice, subtle citrusy scent that’s super refreshing! (Wanted to note that my old sunscreen was Supergoop Play Everyday SPF 50 and my boyfriend always commented on my greasy face. So far, he has yet to say anything about this sunscreen.) ✨

Omg!!!!
No wonder why this mask has a 4.8/5 ⭐ rating & Why is it called the best of Korean beauty! I actually used and literally felt obsessed with this! Let's begin with the texture & ingredients of this mask! I honestly loved the way this wash off mask looks but once i put the applicator in it, the gel texture was too slippery that it slipped down from the applicator, so i hated the way it felt & the washing off was a task too (as i don't use lukewarm water, and the directions included washing off with lukewarm water 🤷🏻‍♀️) This mask contains 10% AHA, 0.5%BHA, and some great ingredients such as Blue agave (helps to deeply redefine skin by removing all the dead skin cells &diminishing the look of blemishes) Hyaluronic acid (Helps to reduce the visibility of fine lines and dehydration by retaining skin's moisture) Centella asiatica (also known as Cica fir healing soothing which is antibacterial & inflammatory properties great for skin conditions such as eczema, scarring, cellulite Incredibly moisturizing) Chamomile (Anti inflammatory, Anti fungal, Anti septic which helps to reduce skin irritations by neutralizing free radicals) Aloe vera (contains anti oxidants Enzymes Vitamin A & C and its highly effective for cystic and deeper acne) and so much more! (please refer to the website for full ingredients list) After applying this gentle yet powerful Blue mask with glycolic acid balanced with super soothing ingredients, i felt something really strong on my skin, a slight burning which is normal with AHA/BHA masks! I did post in my story how happy this mask made my skin. My skin was literally Glowing with deep clean pores, even looking skin, plump, radiant & very smooth like a professional facial day. All the gunk off my skin with super dewy glow I fell in love with this mask ❤ Also, I love the fact that this mask contains salicylic acid which is amazing for acne prone & oily skin & all skin types, my skin feels Rebooted 😉 Formulated without synthetic fragrance, sulfates, formaldehyde, phthalates, synthetic dyes, parabens, mineral oil Silicone etc! Cruelty free ♥️

How I do my nailcare/paint my nails!
I have recently fell in love with nail polish and nail care! I look forward to doing my nails every week. I was a nail biter all my life until this year. I am always focused on strengthening my nails. I’ve been loving Essie’s gel couture line! This nail look is a shimmery champagne color—“Last Nightie” First I always start by doing my cuticles. I never realized how important taking care of your cuticles is and the benefit it does to your overall nail health. I remove my cuticles/push them back once a week using BLUE CROSS - Cuticle Remover This makes removing the cuticles SO easy. Within a few seconds they basically soften up/dissolve so they are easily pushed around the sides of the nail and top of the nail. I use a metal cuticle pusher but I make sure to be extremely gentle when using this! (I got mine from amazon) but this is basically the same thing!ULTA BEAUTY - Cuticle Pusher Next, I file my nails to create a shape I want, then I wash my hands. Finally I use GOLD BOND - Ultimate Intensive Healing Hand Cream and PEACH & LILY - Pure Beam Luxe Oil before painting my nails. Now I apply my base coat and recently I’ve been using#Pink Armor - Nail Gel[products]#[FiveStars] I got mine from amazon. It basically acts as a strengthening bond on your nails. This may not be the best option for nail health, but like I have stated. I needed all the help I could get since my nails were SO flimsy and thin at first. I do think this stuff has helped significantly! Finally I apply 2-3 coats of my polish and apply my gel couture top coat! This polish line is SO good. Happy nail care 💅

My Tips to Grow Healthy Nails!
First off, I would like to pay myself on the back. I am 24 years old and have been a nail biter since my childhood. This year I made a New Years resolution to stop biting my nails. Since having short nails from biting my whole life my main objective was to create strength in my nails because they were so thin & flimsy from not ever being grown out before. First thing I did. Started taking biotin! This not only helps strengthen nails, but helps my skin & hair as well. This is a 5,000 mcg dose so it is significant to your daily intake. Always check for dosage and make sure you are consistent! Since I’ve been a nail biter seeing the “white” part of my nail growth is triggering. So when I see it, I want to bite them. For this reason for the first few months I constantly had polish on my nails to help break my obsession with biting. Now that my habit is virtually gone (YAY ME) I take week long breaks in between my polish!! It helps give your nails time to breath and to take the time to give your nails/nail bed some extra nourishment. For nourishing my nails I use GOLD BOND - Ultimate Intensive Healing Hand Cream and LUSH - Lemony Flutter every night before bed. The hand cream is thick but not too thick, it absorbs nicely and doesn’t leave any stickiness or heaviness on the hands. The cuticle butter is VERY rich and thick. A very small amount is needed for each nail/cuticles and I focus/massage it in for a few minutes each night. It has beeswax, Shea butter, and avocado oil in it for growing healthy nails! Remember cuticle care is important! I’ve also been using the PEACH & LILY - Pure Beam Luxe Oil for a cuticle oil each night and throughout the day sometimes to give my cuticles some extra love. This oil has squalane, jojoba, camellia, grapeseed, and sea buckthorn oils. It is surprising easily absorbed! I really love this oil for my cuticles. (I have oily acne prone skin so I don’t typically use face oils very much—so I repurposed and used it for my cuticles instead). If you have been/are a nail biter, you know how hard it is to quit! You just have to get in the right mindset and continue working to break your habit. 👏🏻🤍

Overnight Star Sleeping Mask (Ulta Only)
The first thing I noticed when using this was.... it doesn’t ever dry. So prepare to wake up to a mess haha. The second thing was how amazingly soft and vibrant my skin was the following morning! You use this instead of your usual moisturizer at night. It’s ingredients include açaí berry, black ginseng, niacinamide, and peptides. I’ve used plenty of masks. But this one both feels good and works! You will not regret the purchase!

Redness, Irritation, Dryness From Damage Barrier
If you suffer from any of the above then you MUST try this! The PEACH & LILY - Overnight Star Sleeping Mask is one of my favorite products of 2019 🙌🏻 because it focuses on restoring your skins barrier when you sleep. Redness and Irritation is often due to a damaged skin barrier function and this product has so many amazing ingredients meant to combat these issues. In turn, your redness and irritation goes down and allows dryness to disappear. Hallelujah 🙌🏻 Therefore this is going to be amazing for all skin types but especially sensitive, irritated and dry skin. The texture as you can see is thick and rich and a little goes a LONG way - and no - it doesn’t turn your face blue 😂 At $43 I think it is well worth it considering this jar will last you easily 7 to 8 months or longer with nightly use. I love the minimal and clear packaging so you can see that beautiful blue color shine through. If I could give this 6 stars I would 💙

So many goodies hitting the gram today! 🍋 soldejaneiro sent over the glow oils and they are absolutely stunning! The scents of these are freaking heaven and I’ll be glowing for years with this stash 🤩⁣ 🍋 peach slices sent over some goodies and I mean come on - this cherry ice cream moisturizer is adorable and the ingredients are pretty good!⁣ 🍋 glowrecipe I’ve been trying a lot from them lately. I’m really liking the watermelon moisturizer ☺️ as for the avocado duo I am still feeling it out. My skin has been breaking out badly since I added these three and it had been a bit prior to me using retinol so I’m hoping the reintroduction is the cause for break outs 🤞🏼⁣ 🍋 tatcha violet-c radiance mask made an appearance today! First impressions- nice. It didn’t harden like a clay mask and I felt super hydrated afterwords. I’ve tried so many masks and found some phenomenal ones - so moving forward my hopes are high for any mask I try! ⁣

Best skincare tip I’ve received ❄️
Best skincare tip I’ve received ❄️
Most of my friends are skincare enthusiasts so we’re always sharing new tips, hacks and products to incorporate into our routines. I got this idea from a friend who always raved about “icing” her face in between each of her morning routine steps. This is, she would use ice cold water or an ice cube to depuff and help products absorb better. When I found my ice roller I figured it was the perfect tool to try this technique! Let me tell you, ITS AMAZING. I feel my serums and essences apply better and my skin definitely benefits from the cold and the massaging motion of the roller. It’s so so good, I highly recommend it specially to try it in between each step of your routine. It’s so relaxing and I love it when I’m doing hydrating routines 😌
