quick post-workout skincare - it’s important!
As a D3 student-athlete (any fellow lax players on here??), weightlifting and working out is a huge part of my life, and since delving more into skincare, I’ve realized how important post-workout skincare is. Since we are in quarantine, I work out at home, but during normal times, I’d be in a gym with lots of other people’s sweat and germs all around me, and that’s just not fun for skin! A lot of the time I’ll have to wake up at 5:30am to do a morning lift, and often I’ll have to do a practice in the afternoon, and I’ve found that this routine works for any time of the day if I don’t have time to do a full wash-up right after. So here’s what I do to take care of my skin after a workout—whether that be at home, at a gym, or on the field! I typically start off by splashing my face with water and use a clean washcloth to gently tap my face dry. I wet the washcloth and wipe the sweat from my chest and back. Then, I go in with my GARNIER - SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Water to clean off that sweat and dirt. Next, I use #BOBBI BROWN - Face Mist[products]#[FiveStars] to calm and hydrate. I’m running out of this face mist so I might consider making my own face mist or buy the J.R. WATKINS - Heritage Store Rosewater & Glycerin Spray because I’ve heard good things about it. Finally, I seal in the moisture with The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil . If the sun is still out, I will layer on a sunscreen because that is literally the most important step! I love dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ , although with the Purito controversy, there is concern that it’s not as protective as they claim. Another sunscreen that’s ok to use is Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30 . If I feel I need it, I might use some PANTENE - Never Tell Dry Shampoo to just freshen up my hair a bit. This routine just ties me over until I can take my nightly shower and do my nightly routine. It certainly leaves me feeling refreshed and ready for the ready of the day, especially after exhausting workouts!

Today is my WISHTREND Black Friday box opening day! Can you imagine how excited 😛 I’m have been looking at the box for two weeks before I get it out of quarantine. The longest two weeks ever!!! I tried COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser and I'm from - Rice Toner today. I like both but I found my cheek a bit tight after the COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser it might be something to do with the low PH so I may not use it everyday. I'm from - Rice Toner is the best, so hydrating which reminds me of LANEIGE - Cream Skin Toner & Moisturizer I will keep trying.....

Overhyped products; didn’t see a difference
I’ve used these products consistently over the period of a couple months (not necessarily in combination with each other). I haven’t noticed a difference and realize I don’t particularly love the feel of serums and oils. Here’s my review of each product individually and one ordinary product that I do feel like makes a difference. PAULA'S CHOICE - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliator I was super excited to try and love this product and was mainly wanting help with blackheads on my nose. I haven’t noticed a difference even when using the product twice a day for a couple months. The product is very oily and it’s easy to get all over the bottle. Not a toner that can be used without a cotton pad The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 I don’t love the textures of these products and am disappointed not seeing a difference after using consistently and over half the bottle is gone. dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop This product is very oily. I want to include vitamin C in my skincare routine but just didn’t enjoy this particular one. e.l.f. - Happy Hydration Cream I love all of elf’s products and bought this thinking I would love it. It leaves a white cast and I don’t like the feel when I put this moisturizer on, because of this I have been using it just at night I order to not waste the product. Elf has much better products than this one for sure! One product I do like: The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I’ve started using this once a week and believe it is helping with my blackheads. It is drying and I have sensitive skin so if you’re like me I would suggest only once a week for 8 min and consider a hydrating mask afterwards.

THANK YOU CHERIE! Toners are a must for me
I was gifted this dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial Tonerand I’m so excited to see how it works for me! This toner is formulated with a base of various botanical extracts to balance the skins pH levels and provide nourishment to skin. The main ingredients in this product are sodium hyaluronate, B-glucan, centella asiatica extract, and lipidure. Toning is a step I never skip because it helps keep my skin clean and clear. Tap water is dirty and contains many harmful chemicals that can really hurt skin. So even though I cleanse, the water residue stays on my skin and that’s a big no no for me. Toners wipe away any yucky stuff and prep skin for other products I’ve only used this about 3-4 times so I’ll be providing a more thorough review on this toner after I use it for a month.

Acne getting worse this year
Hi guys! I’m new to Cherie. I am 22 years old and have always had occasional pimples along with black heads on my nose but now my acne is out of control. On my chin line the pimples are constant and then I have large painful pimples which come up on my checks. Plus, textured forehead with occasional pimples. I began with trying the 10 step Korean skin care routine with the double cleanse which helped my redness and made my face look bright but did not help with the acne Then I tried black wolf face wash which seems to help but doesn’t stand a chance against my 12hr work days. Now: I’m trying smacne which seemed to have a lot of good reviews. SMACNE - Acne Treatment 30 Day Kit but have only used it for a few days For years I have used LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask which I love! It seems to improve my face over night Clean&Clear - Advantage Acne Spot Treatment CeraVe - Hydrating Sunscreen Face Lotion SPF 50- I hate the texture of this sunscreen but it was $15 so I’m trying to use it up I am on birth control and when talking to my doctor she said I should see a dermatologist because BC should only help acne not cause/ worsen it. I have reduced the dairy I consume, I drink green smoothies with fruits, veggies, flax seed, collagen, and apple cider vinegar most mornings. I also try to drink lots of water. This is kinda my last ditch effort before seeing a dermatologist. I legit am happy to be required to wear a mask at work because i am not confident with my skins current state. Thank you in advance for any advice! Right now I’m just trying to try one new thing at a time and give it plenty of weeks to see the effect. Full list of products that I have tried: THE FACE SHOP - Rice Water Bright, Light Cleansing Oil THE FACE SHOP - Rice Water Bright Rice Bran Cleansing Foam COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Medicated Gel Cleanser for Acne Prone Skin dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial TonerThe Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling SolutionI think my skin is too sensitive for this HOLIKA HOLIKA - Good Cera Super Ceramide Cream (MALIN+GOETZ) - Grapefruit face cleanser- this used to work for me but it stopped helping with my acne SKINFOOD - Royal Honey Essential Queen's Serumdear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop HUM - Daily Cleanse Detox Supplement

P.m. skincare routine. Suggestions ?
Here is my pm skincare routine. Started to care about my skin couple months ago only. Never had major issues but fine lines are starting to appear and let’s face it, I was bored during quarantine. I wanted to give double cleanse a try but had trouble finding a drugstore cleansing balm. I came across cocokind - Oil to milk cleanser and was pleasantly surprised. Works okay on make up and is gentle with nice ingredients. I wish the gliding would be a bit more smooth though. I can sometimes feel some pulling and tugging. 🌾 I follow with sioris - Cleanse Me Softly Milk Cleanser as I like milky cleansers. This one is fine especially in colder weather but I sometimes feel like its a bit heavy and not deep cleansing enough. I prefer LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser but have run out. 🥛 I then follow with a first essence and a toner. People always say they are not essential in your routine but they’re actually my fave step. Adding soothing and hydrating ingredients without any heavy/greasy texture (I damaged my skin barrier after over exfoliating). I'm from - Mugwort Essence & COSRX - Propolis Synergy Toner are the ones I’m using right now. My skin agrees with both and it calms down any redness or tight feeling after cleansing. 🐝 I wanted to try snail mucin and was missing a small amount for free shipping (I know you feel me) so opted for MIZON - Snail Repair Eye Cream . Haven’t seen any results on the fine lines around my eyes yet as its only been a couple weeks but the texture is amazing and light and silky. 🐌 Once a week I will use THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum . Will step up to two times a week very soon. Just started my retinol journey and almost made the mistake to go with a 1% OTC retinol. Boy am I glad I did some research. This one is 0,05% retinol. Would really like your recommendations for a next step retinol for my next purchase :). I end the routine with CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion . Really love this. It has niacinamide which is nice because I don’t use it in serum form. I have it in my am toner as well and its just enough for me. Would maybe wanna switch up for a heavier moisturizer for winter if you have any suggestions. Cerave is always sold out in drugstores so wanted to try something else when I run out. Please feel free to recommend products you like. I will mention I use I'm from - Honey Mask and dear, klairs - Midnight Blue Calming Cream on nights my skin feel really bothered (like the night after I used the retinol) I adore the mask but will not be repurchasing the klairs cream. Its a bit overpriced and overrated in my opinion. I will gladly pay less for a similar white “less instagramable” cream. Any suggestion for this one as well? 🍯💙

My Favorite Korean Skincare Products
🇰🇷 Korean Skincare has been gaining traction in the U.S. over the last several years and rightfully so. Korean skincare is typically affordable, effective, focused on hydration and sun protection, and several years ahead of the U.S. in trending ingredients. My combo dry skin LOVES the focus on hydration and I personally really enjoy a longer multi step k beauty routine. I typically et my k beauty products on YesStyle, Wishtrend, Amazon, or Sephora if it’s something like Laneige or Glow a Recipe. Here’s some of my favorite K Beauty products I currently have on rotation: (From top left to bottom right) 🇰🇷 Dr. Jart Ceramidin Cream: A very rich, barrier replenishing moisturizer for when my skin is dry or irritated. 🇰🇷 Glow Recipe Plum Plump Serum: An antioxidant rich gel texture hyaluronic serum. I use this daily. 🇰🇷 Mauve Fantastic Ever Cool Kids Never Sleep Cream: A water cream with some loud 80s packaging that I am LIVING FOR. This is a good dupe for the Tatcha Water Cream. 🇰🇷 Then I Met You Living Cleansing Balm: A barrier replenishing cleansing balm rich in sea buckthorn oil. 🇰🇷 Dear Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream: A cream gel consistency moisturizer with blue tansy. Great for calming any inflammation. 🇰🇷 Krave Oat So Simple Water Cream: A very lightweight water cream with soothing oats. 🇰🇷 Purito Centella Green Level Safe Sun: Get 👏🏻 Hip 👏🏻 To 👏🏻 This 👏🏻 Sunscreen 👏🏻 it’s like $8 and completely invisible and weightless. This is like my fourth bottle. 🇰🇷 Then I Met You Soothing Tea Cleansing Gel: An antioxidant rich mildly exfoliating gel cleanser. I feel very so so about this. It’s fine but I wouldn’t buy again. 🇰🇷 Laneige Cream Skin Toner: A milky hydrating toner with meadow foam seed oil. 🇰🇷 Dear Klairs Supple Preparation Toner: An incredibly hydrating and plumping watery gel consistency toner. 🇰🇷 Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel: A richly foaming powder enzyme cleanser gentle enough for every day use.

Tretinoin and Spironolactone Progress July-Dec
I’m back! And wow what a difference! I’ve since switched upped my dosage to Apostrophe 0.05% tret with 4% Niacinimide cream forumula beginning in November. I’m also taking 50 mg of Spirinolactone now. My face has definitively gotten a lot drier, with some mild peeling throughout the day (any tips are welcome!) I’m going to see how waiting 15 mins before apply tret after moisturizer and 15 minutes after tret will work Overall, I feel like my forehead has a smoother texture, and I’m seeing less breakouts. I now definitely want to start working on reducing the appearance of my acne scars, but with my face so dry right now, I’m not sure if that’s an option. I’m going to wait a while and talk to my derm about adding in any actives. Also very sad about the Purito sunscreen scandal :-( Here’s my routine below: Morning (focus on hydration and barrier) CeraVe - Hydrating Facial Cleanser dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Unscented Facial Toner COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence PEACH & LILY - Glass Skin Refining Serum HONEST - Hydrogel Cream BRUJITA - Hechizo Facial Serum BRUJITA - Vegan Crema Supergoop! - Glow Stick SPF 50 Night (applying tret nightly-wondering whether to reduce to every other day ) DHC - Deep Cleansing Oil HONEST - Gentle Gel Cleanser (or COSRX - Low PH Good Morning Gel Cleanser ) dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Unscented Facial Toner COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence HONEST - Hydrogel Cream Then putting BRUJITA - Vegan Crema on my driest areas Apostrophe Cream BRUJITA - Hechizo Facial Serum BRUJITA - Vegan Crema

New k-beauty skincare faves 💕✨
dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop - I had been looking far and wide for an affordable non oily vitamin C serum and I’m so glad I found it! This serum absorbs in the skin within seconds and is definitely brightening and carries all pros of vitamin C if used continuously for a few weeks. I use it in the morning and follow it up with dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask and SPF for best results. At $23 it’s definitely affordable and the bottle is super cute! I store it in the fridge so it doesn’t oxidize. dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask - I LOOOVE this ‘mask’. I use it as a moisturizer in the morning after the vitamin C and love the consistency. It’s jelly like and feels like every time I use some it regenerates right away (I know it actually doesn’t but it looks that way! Super fun). I mostly got it to complement the serum and am so glad I did, I love skincare products/tools that are fun to use and this is one of my faves. Oh, and it definitely does the job too! My skin is super soft after using it. At $27 I think it’s pretty affordable as a moisturizer or overnight mask. I'm from - Rice Toner - this is now my favorite toner! It is so hydrating and you can see the difference on your skin right away! I use it in the morning or night time whenever I’m not using an exfoliating toner and my skin needs some extra hydration. At $27 I think it’s a great price for its benefits.

Battle of the sleeping masks: COSRX or Missha?
I’ll start off by saying I think a “sleeping mask” is such extra rebranding of moisturizer lmao... because that’s literally all it is. 🤣 but nonetheless I still like a good “sleeping mask” because A) sometimes I’ll use the Cerave AM moisturizer with SPF during the day and obvi don’t need SPF overnight B) if I use 2 separate moisturizers AM and PM, they’ll both last longer 🤗 C) I like to use a more lightweight moisturizer during the day and a thicker more occlusive one at night. D) I can never have too many moisturizers bc I am a DRY girly! I tried the COSRX - Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask before and liked it a lot! It’s definitely very lightweight but I didn’t think it felt any different than any other moisturizer. I’ve been using the MISSHA - Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Sleeping Mask since March and love it! It’s thicker and definitely very hydrating. I think when I run out of the Missha, I may either try the dear, klairs - Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Maskor repurchase the COSRX, just because I am eager to try the Klairs one and I like the price point of Cosrx, like that it has niacinamide and already know I like the texture! What are your thoughts on sleeping masks, is it part of your routine or just too extra? 😂😂

you can’t get much better than this
Ever heard of dear, klairs? This Korean skincare brand has been gaining more attention, and for a good reason too. The dear, klairs - Fundamental Watery Oil Drop is exactly what it says. It’s a watery, oil-like serum that delivers antioxidants and hydration to your skin. It’s packed with Jeju green tea water, ferment extracts, rice extract, ceramides, and peptides to improve skin regeneration and aid in anti-aging. You can use this any time of the year to get that extra boost of hydration and to protect your skin from aging. I typically apply 2-3 drops of this during the day, after I apply my toner and treatment serums/creams (niacinamide and azelaic acid). This works so well to give your face a dewy glow. It does leave your skin a tiny bit sticky, but as long as you put a layer of sunscreen (which you should ALWAYS do), it won’t feel sticky. It definitely helps me with redness and stinging, so if those are some issues you’re worried about, I’d definitely recommend this! This product is for anyone with tired skin, anyone who needs hydration but doesn’t like oil products, anyone with dehydrated and rough skin, and those who have oily or combination skin. The product can be purchased on Yesstyle and Wishtrend for $31 (usually they’ll have some sort of sale though!) and it lasts a long time, so I think it’s worth it! dear, klairs has a number of other products that are just as amazing, including their non white-cast and non-greasy dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ .

we love good skin days 😊
I just wanted to make a quick post because my skin was surprisingly good today! I’ve been struggling with my skin for a few months so it was nice to finally have a day when I felt good about my skin. Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been adjusting the products I use and the way I layer to minimize pilling and to reduce stickiness. Today I used these products in this order: 1) LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser I LOVE LOVE LOVE this! I will do a product review soon! 2) PAULA'S CHOICE - Pore-Reducing Toner I tried taking this out of my routine for a bit and I just re-added it to remove some loose skin after I cleansed. 3) Curél - Moisture Facial Lotion Enrich I mix 2 pumps of this with one drop of pure vegetable glycerine and put it on my damp face. 4) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% I’m not sure this has really been working for me but I recently bought THE inkey LIST - Niacinamide Oil Control Serumso I’m excited to see if I will get results. I usually use The Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 before the niacinamide serum, but it’s been a little sticky for me lately so I just use it at night. 5) I use my prescription-strength Azelaic Acid. I love this for my hyperpigmentation and redness! 6) The Ordinary - Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG 7) CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion This is such a perfect, light moisturizer for both day and night! 8) I finish it off with my FAVORITE sunscreen dear, klairs - Soft Airy UV Essence SPF 50 PA ++++ I mixed this with a drop of tea tree oil and spread it all over my face and neck. Tea tree oil is key for me! It surprisingly gives me a nice glow and helps reduce redness. Again, I’m still playing around with my skincare routine, so sometimes I’ll throw some of these products into my routine: dear, klairs - Fundamental Watery Oil Drop , The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil , CeraVe - CeraVe Moisturising Cream , andThe Ordinary - Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5 .

The summer mist we all need ☀️
Despite 2020, summer is here to stay and whether I’m indoor or outdoors, my face craves cooling hydration more than ever. Sometimes, when I just want to cool my face down, a misting spray is the first thing I reach for. Here are my thoughts on Klairs Fundamental Ampule Mist: dear, klairs - Fundamental Ampule Mist Good For: Dry skin, post-workout rehydration, spray-on humectant on top of HA serums to lock in hydration. Review: This spray-on misting ampule is rich in humectants, working as a thin watered down essence/ampule. I love that the spray bottle can serve as a convenient on-the-go skincare in my bag. I also use this mist in the evening as a moisturizer on top of any hylauronic acid serums to lock in the moisture. It does sit sticky and shiny on the skin so I would not necessary recommend this under makeup in the AM. It does lock in my night serums really well and I wake up extremely hydrated if used. It may feel too sticky for those with oily skin so be warned! I have also used it as a substitute to setting spray on top of my makeup and it gives me a temporary dewy glow! Price: I wouldn’t say this mist WOWed me, so $27 for this 4.22 Fl Oz bottle is leaving me a little unimpressed. I love that the mist is so versatile but can only give 4 stars for the fact that diluted humectants in a bottle is not worth the asking price!!

HOW TO: wake up looking like a glazed donut ✨
GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment Contains 10% (Glycolic Acid) AHA+ BHA. This is the second product I’m testing from Good Molecules and I’m loving it already. This is my first experience with a leave-on “sleep mask” version of glycolic acid (the smallest form of AHA). And seriously people, I WOKE UP GLOWING IN A GOOD WAY. I wanted to chuck all my glossier products out the window and triumphantly announce that I solved the glowy but not oily skin look that no makeup has ever done for me. I have a few layering tweaks I wanted to share for those looking to add this step into your routine! TLDR; pore-shrunken glazed 🍩 look for $6. scroll down for layering steps. 😅 Conceptually, incorporating a GA solution into my night routine 2-3x per week is the best way to use GA without drastically changing my current ritual. While glycolic acid toners work have worked great as well, I notice my skin is way more sensitized throughout the day and susceptible to sun damage. I just don’t want to run the risk of forgetting to reapply sunscreen ☀️ every few hours, you know? Especially if you have dry/combo skin, the following layering technique may be of use to you. Starting with dry or freshly cleansed skin I add: (1) Any hydrating toner. I used the niacinamide toner from Good Molecules but if you have sensitive skin I’d opt for one without vitamin C or other actives. GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Brightening Toner I'm from - Rice Toner dear, klairs - Supple Preparation Facial Toner (2) Any mild peptide serum or essence. But no crazy actives like retinol or the true form of vitamin C ascorbic acid (I used one with the SAP derivative which was ok). If you normally add oils to this step, I would skip until the end. An oil ester like jojoba oil may be okay. Bottom line is to use something your skin finds familiar but comforting. The Ordinary - ''Buffet'' The Ordinary - Marine Hyaluronics GOOD MOLECULES - Niacinamide Serum (3) THE Glycolic Acid/AHA-containing treatment. Feels like thick serum. I used one droppers’ worth, going heavier on my t-zone. This one from Good Molecules contains Glycerin, HA, and Butylene Glycol, gold standard humectants that need more moisture to lock in its hydrating benefits!! Especially if you just used another hylauronic acid-containing serum in the previous step, the treatment as a final step can leave you feeling dry. GOOD MOLECULES - Overnight Exfoliating Treatment (4) Wait 3-5 min to add a gel moisturizer or hydrating spray-on mist. Feed those humectants! Really anything works here. I used MUJI’s all-in-one essence. I just wouldn’t go too creamy or heavy. VERSED - DEW POINT Moisturizing Gel-Cream dear, klairs - Fundamental Ampule Mist The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA Lmk if you try this! Cheers to looking like a glazed donut 🥂

🇰🇷30% off K-Beauty thru the end of November!
Soko Glam is having an amazing sale on their already affordable offering of Korean skincare & beauty products. 💳 30% off! And it lasts until 11/30/20! What is Soko Glam? It’s not a brand, but an online retailer for beauty products from Korea, for American consumers. 🗺 I’m not sure where else they ship to at this time but, Charlotte Cho, the American esthetician, is the sites curator & founded her own brand as well, Then I Met You, in 2018. 📦 They ship very fast compared to some other sites that do the same thing & offer free shipping on $35+ There’s a great selection of Korean brands you might know already & many you don’t. I’ve purchased brands like #17VDerma, Cosrx, Etude House & Saturday Skin from this site. +I recently discovered my new ultimate favorite lip balm for only $9, from a brand I’d never even heard of called unpa cosmetics. Kept my haul to basic right now, but I did want to check out the new Probiotic stuff by Neogen! unpa.Cosmetics - Bubi Bubi Lip Ampoule $9/.35 oz I’ve already posted full review on this lip balm/treatment with Ceramides & 3 different forms of Hyaluronic Acid! It’s affordable, easy to keep sanitary, super cute & simply so nourishing & moisturizing, without being an unfamiliar lip balm texture. It’s semi-thick & melts into a beautiful glossy finish. Must have this winter!🥶 🌹Also has a delicate & subtle rose scent that reminds me of the now discounted Dior crème de Rose lip balm! unpa.Cosmetics - Bubi Bubi Lip$14/.4 oz This is a new product for me, but I fell in love with the lip balm so tough, that I was curious about this. I was in need of a lip scrub or exfoliator of some kind, so o figured I’ll try this. It uses fruit extracts like Papaya & some sort of bubbling formulation to exfoliate, instead of a physical exfoliant like sugar... It’s also hypoallergenic, so I’m curious to see what it’s all about. I also recopped these $17/1 oz serums I absolutely fell in love with: 🐝Bee Propolis & Niacinamide serum: Beauty of Joseon - Glow Serum : Propolis+Niacinamide & 🐌their Snail Mucin serum, which I totally stan now because of its healing, moisturizing & regenerative properties:Beauty of Joseon - Repair Serum : Ginseng+Snail Mucin I cant say enough good things about these (& the Green Tea+Panthenol) serums! I am not made for minimalism: Rate My Routine
So first I have to say the PEACH & LILY - Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser was half off at Ulta and I decided to try it as my morning cleanser. That was a mistake and why I am broken out in these pictures. Pics are no makeup/filter. My skin is normal /dry. It is incredibly reactive. I can’t use any actives not retinol not HA nor any of the acids. I have one age spot because I avoid the sun like a plague and always wear sunscreen and a hat. This is why my skincare system is so simple and focuses on adding moisture. CAUDALIE - Make-Up Removing Cleansing Oil An HG Product. It feels great and makes a nice clean start to the day. Also fragrance free!!!! AM ONLY: fresh - Soy Makeup Removing Face Wash I keep coming back to it because it doesn’t irritate my skin or cause breakouts but I don’t really love it. It works. Meh. PM ONLY: OSEA - Ocean Cleanser I can’t use this every wash because of the lactic acid but it is incredibly effective at making my face glow and getting rid of acne scars and breakouts. I wash my face and then let it sit for two minutes (a cherie trick) and wow does that make a huge difference. It has a distinct smell that takes some getting used to and it produces a tiny bit of foam that you really don’t want to get in your eyes. acwell - Licorice pH Balancing Cleansing Toner I like the way this product feels. My skin feels fresh after I use it. The texture is really thin and it takes a while to absorb. H2O+ - Hydration Sensitive Essence I haven’t decided how I feel about this product yet. I am allergic to the moisturizer and the cleanser in this line. I do like the milky texture and the way it doesn’t lay on my skin but seems to absorb while I am not paying attention. Krave - Great Barrier Relief My great HG love that keeps my face from drying out. Let us never be separated. KINSHIP - Pimple Potion Retinal + Salicylic Acid Acne Treatment is slowly, but surely, getting rid of the milia on my chin. It is this orange-yellow color and has a thick lotiony texture. innisfree - Olive Real Power Cream Ex. A little goes a loooong way. I have struggled to find a moisturizer because I was applying lotion 5-6 times a day and DE isn’t cheap. This is 1/3 of the price and works 4x as well at keeping my face moisturized. It has a pleasant citrus smell and the whipped gel texture is nice. dear, klairs - Fundamental Nourishing Eye Butter This has a really nice creamy but not to thick texture. I use it twice a day and my eye bags have been reduced by 90%. The container is a pain to deal with and dispense product from. AM (Coming Soon) Krave - The Beet Shield How am I doing?

Great Korean Sunscreens!!
Great Korean Sunscreens!!
My previous post was all about my favorite sunscreen ever!! This one is about few other Korean beauty sunblocks that I have tried and loved❣️ 1) Missha Essence sun Milk 2)Krave The Beet Sheild 3)Purito Centella Unscented Sunblock 4)Dear Klairs Everyday Sunscreen All the above sunscreens are very light, doesn’t cast a white shade on your face after application and is very great for layering with other skin care products or with makeup. These products are not heavy, not oily and doesn’t clog your pores. I loved how these products did a good job protecting my skin from the sun and at the same time didn’t leave my skin oily . They dry very quickly and gives a light matte finish to your face which works great as a base for the makeup and it holds the makeup in place for a longer time!!

I found a
Midnight blue.💙⁣ ⁣ I found a suitable serum to work with microneedling. YAY! 🥳 It’s the Dear Klairs Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop that comes with EGF.🌡⁣ ⁣ EGF stands for epidermal growth factor, which helps to stimulate skin growth. I had good experience using a serum containing this ingredient and that’s why I eagerly snapped up a bottle of this when I spotted it on sale 🥶⁣ ⁣ You don’t have to use a microneedle though for this serum to deliver. I’m just saying this serum will aid microneedling with better results. Plus I like it’s not oily so it leaves no greasy or sticky residue.🥰 it’s like water 💦...except it’s in blue. Midnight blue.⁣ ⁣ Romantic or mysterious? You decide. But reviews for this product have been glowing.✨⁣I can’t say much because it’s too early to see anything but I’m liking how it feels on my skin for now. It being in the affordable range (S$37.9 before discount) is a plus too. But the bottle is small...just 20ml.✌🏼

klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin
klairs Freshly Juiced Vitamin Drop.I’ve been using this in the AM everyday since I got it last weekend. This serum has a 10% stable form of L-ascorbic acid, it sells itself as being a mild serum which can improve skin tone and texture without harsh irritation that some Vit C products can cause. The fact I’ve managed to keep it in my routine for a week definitely means I like it! To see results I’ll need to continue using but it’s ticking all the boxes so far! ✨

Freshly Juiced Vitamin C Drop

Dear, Klairs is a brand under
Dear, Klairs is a brand under Wish Company Inc. Korea that owns Wishtrend, Wishtrade and etc. The Midnight Blue Youth Activating Drop was launched as their first anti-aging product. - Claims :Anti-wrinkle :Contains EGF (sh-Oligopeptide-1), bFGF (sh-Polypeptide-1), and 95% raw materials for anti-aging effects. :Only made with 10 core ingredients without the use of purified water as a high concentration and high strength delay-aging serum. - >Really interesting color, I’ve never seen other blue products other than this and their Midnight Blue Calming Cream (which I’d love to try too!) >I use about 3-4 drops of this in my whole face and then a few extra drops in areas that I think needs additional care, immediately after cleansing. It works best at the first step of your routine as applying an oil product beforehand can interfere with it’s absorption. >You might think that it’s too early to use an anti-aging product but it’s better to judge your skin’s condition rather than your actual age. If you see fine lines around your face, your make-up starts caking, there’s discoloration and your skin feels saggy then it’s best to start using now before all those problems insist. >All-in-all I would say I love this product! Since it’s so tiny and even though I barely got any sleep I think this helped a lot with keeping my skin not look so exhausted and still clear. >If you’re looking for a brand that provides solution to calm sensitive and tired skin with exclusive ingredients and moisturizing formulas then you should definitely check out dear_klairs.
