neutrogena ‘hydro boost’ line spotlight
key ingredient: hyaluronic acid is the key ingredient of neutrogena’s ‘hydro boost’ line. hyaluronic acid is naturally found in the skin and acts as a sponge to absorb up to 1,000 times its weight in water to leave your skin feeling/looking smooth and hydrated all day. this effective humectant has skin plumping effects, keeping your skin soft and supple throughout the day. however, it’s important to acknowledge that you can overdo hyaluronic acid in your skincare regimen. thecut claims that, “HA’s immense capacity to hold water can have a Mr. Hyde side. It needs moisture to work, so when applied to skin in dry conditions where humidity is low, it will pull moisture from wherever it can; that’s just the nature of the beast. If there’s no humidity to be obtained from the air, it draws moisture from the deeper layers of skin and brings it to the surface of the epidermis, whence it evaporates, leaving skin drier than it was.” this popular skincare ingredient is also both safe and effective for dry/oily sensitive skin. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel i’ve been using this water gel/moisturizer for about 3-4 weeks now and it really does live up to my expectations and what it claims to do. although i do have combination skin, my skin is dry on most parts around my face. i also have sensitive skin so it’s sometimes difficult to find the right moisturizer for my skin without irritating it. this product absorbs fairly quickly and keeps my skin hydrated, even after a long day or night’s sleep. it’s reduced the slight redness and texture that i had on my cheeks as well. a bonus of this moisturizer is that it helped lighten and minimize the size of a post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation mark i’d been having on my nose for awhile. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Exfoliating Cleanser since this cleanser does contain a type of alpha hydroxy acid (aha), i found it to be effective for exfoliating the dead skin cells off of my face. i do like how this product left my skin feeling smoother/softer. however, it left my skin feeling a bit tight and dry and since i do have sensitive skin, my cheeks (where i have slight redness) were redder than normal after usage. the water gel/moisturizer did reduce the redness after awhile when i applied it though. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Cleansing Towelettes i can see the purpose and potential that these cleansing towelettes have but it didn’t really do much for me. however, i have heard some reviews from others that it significantly removes makeup and waterproof mascara (as listed on the packaging of the product). it has removed a bit of oil off of the oily parts of my face (t-zone area), but after awhile, i’ve noticed that my t-zone area was oilier than it was before i used these. i also used these wipes on my cheeks, which is the dryer part of my face, but it left them feeling dryer, rather than leaving them hydrated as the product/packaging claims to do.
Moisturizer that is acne friendly
This moisturizer/gel is really great for acne prone skin-for me it’s been hard to find a moisturizer that doesn’t create more acne or irritate my skin but this one is so so great! It’s a nice gel like texture and it dries down so quick! The smell is super nice and light and really makes your skin more hydrated overnight! It’s amazing!! Definitely recommend and it’s a great dupe for many high end moisturizers Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Water Gel

The Ordinary Formula is an amazing treatment for combination and sensitive skin. Thayers Facial Toner with Witch Hazel is another amazingly nice and cool formula also. The Neutrogena Makeup Remover Towelettes removed makeup with one swipe.
I’d rather get coal than these makeup wipes🤧
These are the neutrogena makeup removing wipes which are marketed to remove all traces of makeup. The target concerns are oiliness, sensitivity, basically they claim these wipes are perfect for any skin type. It has a wipe like texture but don’t feel particularly soft like just as harsh as a Lysol wipe. So I first tried this product bc everyone seems to swear by them and I needed a way to remove my makeup. And my skin is kind of sensitive so this seemed like a good option. But let me tell you these wipes are harshhhh. And to get off the makeup you need to rub and rub and pull which is absolutely terrible for your skin. It literally burned my eyes when I tried to use it to take of my mascara ughh. And it literally doesn’t take of all the makeup and leaves a gross residue. Makeup wipes in general aren’t the best because they don’t effectively remove makeup so I would recommend a double cleanse method instead. But anyway please don’t be fooled by the price just don’t buy this wipes especially not if you have sensitive skin. Sorry I know some people swear by these but I really don’t recommend them😬.

Oh so fresh and clean 🧼
I love this face wash. There’s always a battle between buying the face washes that smell good and make you feel good, versus the face washes that are simple but your dermatologist recommends them. This face wash is both of those things. It’s gentle and simple. There are no beads, no benzoyl peroxide or sacylic acid or anything fancy. It will get all your makeup off. It will leave your skin feeling supple. But honestly my favorite part is the scent. It doesn’t smell like flowers or fruit, it’s just a really good, clean smell. I won’t go back to anything else.
Skin care routine | morning edition 🌞
I have been doing the same skincare routine for the past couple of months now and I think it’s the right one for what my skin is going through at this point of my life. After I finished my tried and true cleanser (Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Cleansing Gel ) I decided to give the LA ROCHE-POSAY - Effaclar Purifying Foaming Gel a try as I had read wonderful things about it on this app. Its a great facial cleanser that doesn’t leave my skin squeaky clean or stripped of moisture and thoroughly removes any leftover skincare from the night before. After cleansing I use the SEPHORA COLLECTION - Ultra Glow Serum: Glow + Strengthen Vitamin C Serum all over my face. I place a couple of drops in my hand and gently massage it into my skin, careful not to be rough or tugging at my skin. I follow up with the KYPRIS - ANTIOXIDANT DEW following the same steps as above, gently massaging the product around my face and neck. Lastly I use my NEOGEN DERMALOGY - NEOGEN DERMALOGY DAY-LIGHT PROTECTION SUNSCREEN SPF 50+/PA+++ once all the other serums have been absorbed to protect my skin from damaging UV rays. A couple years ago I developed a lot of freckles around my cheekbones and nose that were never there before, and I know that is a result of unprotected sun exposure. Won’t be making that mistake anymore. This is what works for me. I have combo/ oily skin with a very grease prone t-zone. I find that having a proper morning routine helps curb oil production on my t-zone and moisturizes the dryer patches on the perimeter of my face, which leads to a more seamless and longer lasting makeup application. Xx.

Night Skin: Remove and Cleanse (I/III)
This is my march night skin routine Part I Skin type: Oily, Acne, scarring, pores 🌙 Night Cleanse 🌙 The Products 1) FARMACY - Green Clean Makeup Removing Cleansing Balm Effective at removing makeup, with a very pleasant green-tea herbal scent. However, its a bit pricey for me 2) BOTANICS - All Bright Cleansing Facial Wipes Inexpensive, good at taking off makeup, and full of brightening ingredients that treat as you take your makeup off. win-win! 3) Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub An oldie but a trusted goodie: this scrub is inexpensive and has the active ingredient of salicylic acid along with an excellent grapefruit scent. Im not a fan of the beads as much though 🌙 After a long day of wearing makeup, making sure all of it is off my skin is super important. Any debris could clog me up and make my skin break out in awful awful painful zits. So i get a dollop of the Farmacy Green Clean and rub it into my face, then remove all makeup with the Botanics Facial Wipes. 🌙With my makeup removed, I wash my face with cold water and the anti-acne Neutrogena wash. This removes any traces of makeup, dissolves oil, and cleanses my skin so its ready for my night treatment. 🌙While my products may vary, I always double cleanse. Remover + soap, oil Soap + soap, it makes a difference in my skin Please see my profile for in-depth individual product breakdowns!
Keep coming back to this
Texture: A gel-y filled with tiny beads face wash I started using this product when I was 12 years old and there have been other cleansers that I have used throughout the years but no matter what this face wash from Neutrogena will ALWAYS be at my sink no matter what! Its such a simple wash but removes my makeup and I also use this when my skin is purging and reacting oddly or is looking dull. It just is the one cleanser that I can always count on when I need my skin to look its best. I love the smell & refreshing feel I get after using it! Do I recommend? Yes! Its under $8 and nothing beats that! Its for acne/acne-prone skin & it works so so well with other skin types as well! Neutrogena - Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub

been using since high school
Neutrogena - Oil-Free Moisture Sensitive Skin Ultra-Gentle Facial Moisturizer I have combo/sensitive skin. This is my FAVORITE moisturizer and I’ve been using it as long as I can remember. It is seriously perfect and light weight but still hydrating enough even when my skin needs the extra love. It’s a thin consistency and just spreads on smoothly. I recommend this to everyone.

Extra gentle, and oil-free. Contains no drying alcohol. * Fragrance-free 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬: Glycerin (humectant) Petrolatum (occlusive) Cyclomethicone, Dimethicone, Soybean Sterols (emollients) 𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬: hydration for sensitive skin —————————- One of my favorites💜 I have used this lotion for years. Occasionally I will try another moisturizer but then always go back to this. Works wonderful as a gentle everyday moisturizer and in calming down the skin when irritated by other products. The lotion is light, creamy and has no scent overall which I enjoy. It is very easy to blend and easily absorbed by skin. I love to use it in conjunction with the Neutrogena water gel (Hi Dr. Dray fans!😁) Both products are great for oily skin, doesn’t leave a greasy film and doesn’t feel too occlusive. It’s also very budget friendly, only retails around $10 for 4fl oz. and also available anywhere! Would highly recommend! Solid product overall. —————————- 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: 5/5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ *some users reported having experienced burning/irritation while using this product. Neutrogena night cream!
This magical cream is like a must for me, the consistent is excelent is like gel but water but cream is cool. I have been using this since 2017 it is the best trust me, i have normal skin type and the function is awesome. The principal one is to hydrate at the most, this brand is excelent for me. I recommend this so much to y’all who want to hydrate your skin also oily ones! Promess!! (and also the price i don’t knoww kind of expensive)
hydro boost gel cream
the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Gel-Cream is one of my all time favorite moisturizers. It is designed for dry skin and contains hyaluronic acid, which helps retain moisturizer and hydrate your skin. It’s also oil free, fragrance free, dye free, and non-comenogenic and keeps my skin feeling moisturized all day long. I prefer to use this as a morning moisturizer and it sits sooo well under my makeup. the texture is a gel consistency and feels almost wet because it’s that hydrating. I’ve been using this on and off for years and have never had any issues with it. I do think it’s a little pricey (~$15) but it feels so nice and has nice and clean ingredients so I don’t really mind the price. I suffer from eczema so this stuff is a must have for me in the winter. I recommend this to all my friends who have dry skin and are looking for a very hydrating and nourishing moisturizer. 5/5 stars ⭐️

What I’ve been obsessing over for weeks
I can’t stress the importance of SPF! Even though it’s “winter time” the suns rays still shine through and create wrinkles etc. This lotion is super smooth and blends in easily. The blemish contort has helped with my minor acne (damn stress). And then the derma e scar gel is amazing !! I apply this in the morning and night. Y’all already know my opinion of the ordinary. This skincare routine has helped me out so much. Highly recommend this to anyone with combo/ oily and looking to clear up their face ! Obviously I have some pimples and scars but in general my skin is looking a heck of a lot better !
This toner is excellent for combo/oil skin type. Really cool that doesn’t have alcohol. I’m not a tonic but this one is really good and affordable. Bought in Target last year🙌🏼

This mask is the sheet
As much as I like a simple routine, I’m not a fan of sheet masks. There’s something about the material that doesn’t sit well with my skin. It’s uncomfortable and messy. This on the other hand is a gel sheet mask. A completely different material than your typical sheet mask that helps with the absorption of products. The watery essence is lightweight and non-sticky. My sister gifted me a couple of these masks and I’m glad she did! These aren’t going to completely change your skin, but I really enjoy using these as they’re hydrating and refreshing. They plump the skin, hydrate it, and help depuff (when placed in the fridge). I like using these before applying my makeup. It leaves my skin nice and hydrated so my base products apply smoothly. I recommend these for a quick pick me up! Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Hydrogel Mask
Yes, I went there with a corny headline😹 but the Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hydrating Hydrogel Mask truly provides amazing hydration! This sheet mask has a gel-like texture unlike most other sheet masks. This texture allows it to form to the contours of your face and stay on more easily! This mask claims to instantly quench dry skin, and leave it feeling hydrated, smooth and supple. And, I agree! After wearing this 2-piece mask for about half an hour, my skin felt so soft and looked healthy and plump. It is formulated with hyaluronic acid, which is great for keeping your skin hydrated. This costs $2.59 at Target for one mask, which I think is worth it! I only use hydrating masks sparingly, so you cannot beat the price. Because it truly leaves your skin feeling hydrated after use, I highly recommend this mask and give it 5/5 Stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Neutrogena Hydro Boost sunscreesn SPF50
This is a water gel sunscreen with a broad spectrum of SPF 50, it is water resistant and quenches skin with hydration non greasy. This sunscreen is amazing, the consistency is like a light cream, the color is a baby blue and the smell is nice. It feels really light on skin, like i have nothing on, it doesn’t feel sticky at all like other sunscreen I have used. Is compatible with make up. I’ve being using this susnscreen for a year. I recommend this Neutrogena Sunscreen to all of you, this is one of a kind! I won’t change it. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50
Favorite Neutrogena Product
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 50: This sunscreen is apart of Neutrogena Hydro Boost line. It’s a water gel sunscreen with spf 50. Keeps your skin hydrated for 8 hours. It’s non-greasy. This was the first sunscreen I’ve used and I still reach for it. I’m on my third tube. It’s sheer, so no white cast! Most sunscreens leave my skin feeling dry but this one actually moisturized my skin. I like using it during all seasons, especially in winter because my skin gets so dry. I love everything that I’ve tried from their Hydro Boost line but this is my favorite! Definitely recommend trying it! Price: $10 Rating: 5/5

EMPTY - FAVE SPF EVER
This is my third bottle and is my favorite sunscreen in the wooorld! Claims: non-greasy and oil free (yuh) to keep your face hydrated (YUH) and protected (absolutely). It doesn’t break me out and literally gives my skin the most dewy appearance 🤩 it does not have a white cast and actually turns clear after rubbing it into your skin. The texture is a gel-like consistency! I usually opt for the spf 50 but i was in desperate need for SPF during my situation so bought this one on a whim since it was the only one at Ulta at the time. HIGHLY recommend and would definitely repurchase. Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 30
Why are we not talking about this one more?!
Okay - this is one of the best drugstore SPF’s I’ve tried! This is targeted for any skin type and no specific concerns. This sunscreen has broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection and hyaluronic acid all in one. It has a thin water like liquid texture and rubs right in with little to no white cast. I originally purchased this to start being more diligent about applying spf on my hands. Come summer and beach time, I began using this on my face since it was constantly in my purse. This layers well under makeup with no pilling, and no irritation or breakouts! It has a pretty gentle formula as well. I absolutely love this product and will forever repurchase. I purchase this at Walmart and it’s under $10 making it sooo affordable! I can’t recommend this enough 💘 5/5 stars Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Sunscreen SPF 30

Neutrogena - Neutrogena Hydro Boost Hydrogel Recovery Mask 30ml Tried this mask because I needed some hydration before I applied my makeup and it did what it promised. My skin felt so hydrated and bright. One of the best masks I ever used! They mask is more of a gel sheet masks versus those paper sheets masks.

My skin care routine
I have been using this products for at least 1 month. I can see the results, my skin looks radiant and smooth
Neutrogena- Age Shield Face, Oil-Free Sunscreen, SPF 110
Neutrogena was the first brand that I tried when I was just a skin care newbie, and I stuck with it for many years, tried out a variety of products, because of its relatively student-friendly pricing yet decent product qualities. I was impressed by some of its products, but also hated some others. Overall, I would say it is a hit or miss with Neutrogena. Fav: Hydro Boost Water Gel My favourite product is the Hydro Boost Water Gel. Like the name suggests, this moisturiser is in a gel texture, perfect for my oily skin, but it is very hydrating at the same time, effective in relieving my skin’s inner dryness. This gel feels very refreshing and has a pleasant smell. Although the presence of fragrance worries me because it might irritate sensitive skin, I did not experience any major sensitivity after emptying two jars. I like to use it during the summer time, because it is not heavy on the skin while helping my skin stay hydrated and soft. However, I would not recommend it during winter seasons or for very dry skin types. Least fav: Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen On the other hand, I did not enjoy the Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen as much. It feels quite heavy and suffocating on the skin, compared to other sunscreens that I have tried. I have acne prone skin, and this sunscreen caused breakouts because I felt that my pores were clogged. However, true to its name, it does not leave a greasy finish on the skin but because of its texture, it is quite difficult to apply this sunscreen evenly across the face. It also leaves a white cast on the face.
Neutrogena-Hydro Boost Gel Cream Moisturiser
cream cleansers VS gel cleansers!
Okay so I think there’s definitely some debate between cream cleansers and gel cleansers and here’s my opinion: I believe that cream cleansers are a lot better than gel cleansers and are overall more beneficial for your skin! Additionally, if you have dry or sensitive skin cream cleansers are definitely up your ally! Personally I find that gel cleansers can dry out your face and can take away some of the essential oils that your face needs, whereas cream cleansers not only cleanse your face, but nourish and replenish your skin, giving it back the moisture and hydration it needs. Overall, cream cleansers have more benefits in comparison to gel cleansers however everyone’s skin reacts differently to certain formulas and products so obviously finding what works for you is very important! But if you are new to skin care and are a little confused on what’s good for your skin I do believe that cream cleansers are a safer option. Let me know what you guys want to see more of in the comments, share your thoughts or send in some products skin care or makeup related that you’d like me to try out!
