Hyaluronic Acid 101 x DermDoctor
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a humectant that famously holds 1000 times its weight in water. It pulls in water from the environment and from the deeper layers of your skin. This ingredient seems to be ubiquitous in skincare products nowadays and it can be found in a lot of moisturizers. Benefits: -Immediately plumps the skin, softening fine lines and wrinkles -Hydrates the skin (specifically high-molecular-weight HA) -Assists in wound healing Dermatologist Tips: -Hyaluronic acid is your first step after cleansing -Must be applied to damp skin! -If you live in a dry climate, make sure to moisturize immediately after -Can be used once or twice a day -Safe to layer with most other skincare ingredients My Top Picks: VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum This contains a high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid, which has moisturizing properties and sits on the surface of the skin without causing inflammation. It contains only 11 ingredients making it ideal for people with sensitive skin (like me). Also, Vichy’s proprietary volcanic water has actually been studied and proven to have skin protective and healing properties THE inkey LIST - Hyaluronic Acid Serum The price point here is unbeatable. Again, with a simple ingredient list, you’re unlikely to run into issues with allergy or irritation. This contains a multi-molecular-weight HA, which allows you reap additional benefits, in addition to hydration and plumping. This also has matrixyl 3000 peptide, which can stimulate collagen synthesis Neutrogena - Hydro Boost Hyaluronic Acid Serum Both high and low-molecular weight hyaluronic acid for added benefits. This also contains glycerin (another amazing humectant) and vitamin B5 (an amazing anti-oxidant) NATURIUM - Quadruple Hyaluronic Acid Serum 5% A great option fragrance-free, cruelty-free option from Naturium! This contains multi-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid that hydrates, plumps, and repairs the skin. #CheriePartner

Day one of Tretinoin 0.04%
I’m a special ed teacher of students with moderate intellectual disabilities. Currently doing both in person (hello maskne) and online teaching (aka stressssssss). Also my district told me 3 days ago I’m getting three new students so stress times ten!! I never used to get breakouts. They started probably my junior year of college, so four and a half years ago. I’ve always been conscious of skin care and my acne never got out of hand, I just could never get rid of the ever present 2-5 pimples on my face at all times. They definitely appear most around my period. Its definitely the worst it has ever been this year with a lot of added stress on top of wearing a mask all day long. I feel like I’ve tried everything. Over the last five years I’ve gotten on birth control, done proactiv, Curology, rodan + fields, differin, every benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid face wash or mask out there, I even drink a teaspoon of liquid chlorophyll every day to try and detox from within. I also drink at least 64 oz of water every day. I try to drink more, but as a teacher I don’t get many bathroom breaks. I’m beyond frustrated and feel like I just can’t get my face clear! I gave Differin a solid chance because I really thought that, since it used to be prescription only, it would work. After 4 months of using it, I feel like it did an okay job. I never really got big painful pimples, but I never really got those anyway and I was still getting the same amount of overall breakouts each month. I decided I need to try something stronger, but I didn’t want to have to go to the dermatologist. That’s when I found Rory! I was prescribed Tretinoin 0.04% with Azelaic Acid 0.8% and Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. It was $5 for my first bottle and will be $75 every 3 months from here on out. I got approved within a few hours and it arrived at my apartment in 2 days. I’m doing this post because I never actually take pictures to compare progress (because I’m so sick of never actually seeing any progress!!) and to try to wish for some good results finally! Here’s the rest of the routine that I’ll be doing: AM- LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser VICHY - LiftActiv Specialist Peptide-C Anti-Aging Ampoules VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ PM- VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm spectro - Jel Cleanser VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream Then I’ll do the Tretinoin last Wish me luck!!!

Blackhead/Textured skin? HELP
Please excuse the shine on my face and undereyes bags, I just finished my night time skincare. I used to have horrible acne and went to a dermatologist and finally got it cleared up a few years ago. I am so incredibly grateful for how far my skin has come but I've noticed even though I don't get big clusters of pimples anymore, I usually get really tiny annoying clogged pores and blackheads now and those few little tiny bumps are the last step between my skin now and super smooth skin and I would love some help! My MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE starts with "washing" my face with just some water. (I have over stripped my skin in the past and this better balances my oils) LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner I use this on a cotton pad just to get any excess dirt and oil off from the time I was sleeping. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum I have seen a big improvement with the hydration and how plump my skin looks. VICHY - Aqualia Thermal Crème[] I just started using this because I ran out of my other one and it's fine. Hasn't upset my skin but hasn't really been wow-ing me. VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream I go in with this under my eye cream because my undereyes can get VERY dry so it helps add an extra boost of hydration so my concealer doesn't look cakey. CLINIQUE - All About Eyes Rich Eye Cream I heard this eye cream was good for hydration but I honestly haven't noticed a big difference. The Vichy eye gel I use before this has given me more impressive results. Not a huge fan. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 I do really like this one because it's lightweight and hasn't negatively affected my skin at all since using it. NIGHTTIME SKINCARE ROUTINE Neutrogena - Fragrance-Free Wipes Twin Pack I KNOW using makeup wipes is not a good thing! I'm very nervous to use an oil based cleanser to take off my makeup, but I would be open to it! For now I am using wipes to remove my makeup. Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser[] I use this cleanser to wash my face at night and it's okay. I've just been using it ever since I was on medication from my dermatologist, so I just stuck with a very basic cleanser. LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner With a cotton pad just after I cleanse. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream CLINIQUE - All About Eyes Rich Eye Cream I do the eye step before my adapaline because it prevents the adapaline from getting too close around my eyes since there's a thick cream barrier.. DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel This gel changed my life. It has helped keep my acne at bay so I love this stuff. VICHY - Aqualia Thermal Crème[] CLARINS - Santal Face Treatment Oil I love this oil so much.

Night Routine p.2/2
Hello beautiful people! Cherie has a word limit, and as you can see I have a LOT to say about a LOT of products that i put on my face before i sleep lol, so here’s a continuation of my night routine! LANEIGE - Water Sleeping Mask after i put the Effaclar Duo (+) by my jawline and the lower area of my face, i apply this on the apples of my cheeks, my forehead (fivehead, to be more precise) and wherever my dry spots are! see what i did there? i multi-mousturized! (is that a thing?) i find that this sleeping mask makes my skin extra glowy in the morning, and I’m all here for it! unfortunately it is heavily fragranced, so if you have dry or sensitive skin, you might want to steer away from this. VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream i used to be a non-believer when it came to under eye care products. i thought it was just another myth, until i tried this serum. i asked my boss (she knows a LOT of stuff when it comes to skincare) what do do about my dark circles, because let’s face it, there’s just something about summer nights that makes you want to stay up longer. She recommended me this and it worked for me! I did the skin journey feature here on Cherie and it told me that my dark circles are pretty much nowhere to be found. what’s good about this serum is the hyaluronic acid that draws moisture from the air to our skin, and that decreases the look of dark circles under the eye. this serum is more of a prevention rather than cure, however. I love it and I will keep using it! innisfree - Pore Clearing Clay Mask 2X with Super Volcanic Clusters this clay mask is more of a “treat yo self” step for me. i use this mask once per week. I love how it helps with my pores and my light acne. i usually have my mask day when i know i’ve been wearing makeup for a long while. i apply this after my cleansing balm, then i wait around 15 mins to set, and then I wash it off with lukewarm water. it leaves a cool, fresh feeling on your face, perfect when you just got home from work and you just want some R&R to get away from all the stress! and that’s it! those are all the products I have on my face before I sleep! I know my products aren’t exactly on the “clean” side yet, i’m trying to upgrade it soon! but for now, these are the ones that work best for me! if you have any recommendations, suggestions, ANYTHING, please let me know! and if this helped you in anyway at all, feel free to comment!

Pure Vitamin C + peptides = glowing skin 😍
The vitamin C strength is only 10% in these ampoules, but it’s the perfect concentration when considering the other ingredients. The ampoule also contains hyaluronic acid, water, and peptides. There is no added fragrance; in fact, there is only 10 ingredients all together. Be warned: the smell isn’t pleasant. It’s bearable, but smells like stale vitamin capsules. There is enough in each ampoule for two uses, i.e. morning and night. Splurge for the 30 day pack to get more bang for your buck! My skin is brighter, tighter, and more moisturized overall. I like that it includes water to work alongside the hyaluronic acid so moisture is drawn into the skin instead of drying it out. Here’s the ingredient list & CosDNA profile for ingredient safety/acne concerns: AQUA / WATER / EAU • ASCORBIC ACID • BUTYLENE GLYCOL • DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL • GLYCERIN • SODIUM HYALURONATE • HYDROLYZED RICE PROTEIN • HYDROLYZED HYALURONIC ACID • HYDROLYZED LUPINE PROTEIN • PENTYLENE GLYCOL http://cosdna.com/eng/cosmetic_2267486502.html VICHY - LiftActiv Specialist Peptide-C Anti-Aging Ampoules

My Morning Routine ☀️
VICHY - Pureté Thermale One Step Face Cleanser for Sensitive Skin This is the perfect AM cleanser for anyone with sensitive skin. Its a cleansing milk, it tones and removes eye makeup. It’s extremely gentle and hydrating and perfect to start off the morning without stripping the skin. Murad - Essential-C Toner My Cleanser already does the toning but if I feel like my skin is looking dull, I’ll add this in. It has Antioxidants and Amino acids that brighten my skin. Murad - Hydro-Dynamic Quenching Essence I’ve been using this essence for years. It’s extremely hydrating, And anti aging. It contains Glycolic acid for some resurfacing and essential oils. It makes my skin feel really smooth and supple. It’s lightweight and restores cell function to rejuvenate and plump skin while exfoliating the impurities, dirt, and oil that cause dullness and uneven tone. SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum I love the serum, I do have sensitive skin and some forms of Vitamin C can be irritating but not this one. It contains 15% THD Ascorbate Vitamin C, it’s brightening, clarifying, and has antioxidant properties. It also helps fight the first signs of aging caused by stress, lifestyle, sun, and pollution. It definitely has brightened my skin and made my skin tone more even. biopelle - Dark Circle Relief Cream 1 Percent Vitamin K Oxide I have the type of dark circles that are a blueish hue due to my veins being visible because I’m so fair. Vitamin K is an ingredient that helps blood clot, so it also helps blood vessels less visible. Aveeno - Absolutely Ageless Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 I’ve always preferred moisturizers with SPF, as opposed to using two separate products and Aveeno has always been a non irritating for me. The Absolutely Ageless contains antioxidants that help stimulate collagen and firm the skin and fights free radical Damage. It also won Allures Best of beauty Award. dermalogica - Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 Moisturizer I switch between this and Aveenos SPF moisturizer. I recently got a small sample of this and wanted to try it out due to all the great reviews. It has Peptides, Antioxidants, Amino acids and fights off Free Radical Damage. It also has a lighter texture than Aveeno which I like for Summer. NATURE'S BOUNTY - Optimal Solutions Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies I use the Advanced version with 2x the Biotin. I definitely see a difference in my nails the most, they’re usually brittle and break very easily, but when I take these they’re much stronger. My hair also seems healthy and shiner. (Not in the pic) I also try to keep my skin products in the boxes to prevent oxidation.

Better than Cerave???
Vichy’s 3 in 1 One Step Cleanser for sensitive skin is a cleansing milk that also tones and removes eye makeup. This particular cleanser also hydrated and leaves your skin baby smooth... I went into my local shoppers drug mart to find my holy grail Cerave Hydrating Cleanser was all sold out and I had to get something because they were out everywhere... covids new trend of skin cleaning I guess? But boy am I ever glad I asked for help and an alternative!!! I have never had my face feel so supple and soft after a wash, the Cerave does do that but even this morning my face is still the same from the night before... BABY SMOOTH😍😍😍😍 I paid $14.97 on sale for 200ml and a little goes a long way! A great alternative for double cleansing followed with an oil or foaming cleanser! Try it out and let me know!!!

Rosacea PM routine (on a budget)
I was never concerned about skincare routine until I found out I have rosacea. But it was not until recently that I started being more intentional about it (@cherie helped a lot ♥️). I didn’t review TO Niacinamide, the TO Azelaic Acid or the Cerave PM facial lotion yet. I just started to use. I’ll review them on another post after 6 weeks of my routine. 1 Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser I use this cleanser for a while now. It’s really gentle to my skin and it doesn’t make it tight 2 VICHY - Mineralizing Thermal Water Spray Rich in 15 Minerals it’s not always on my routine. I just used it when the rosacea flares up or I feel my face too hot 3 The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1%Like the Azelaic Acid, I just started so I wanna wait at least 6 weeks to see the results 4 The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10%👆🏼 5 CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion👆🏼 6 #Trader Joe’s - Hydrating Hyaluronic Body Gel Cream[products]#[FiveStars] I use this on my body and not face. I simply love it, it’s a total game changer. I wrote a review about it on another post 😉 I also to add an oil to the routine. Thoughts?

Love The Vichy Line
So far I have been using the Vichy anti-acne skin treatments. And let me just say so far I love them!!! The cleanser is used first it feels so nice and it does not over cleans the face like other products which is really good because no one wants to over cleans because you still need all thous natural oils in your face. Then I give a quick spray with the thermal water just because it feels really refreshing and valences PH levels in the skin from washing face with tap water which is supposed to be really good. And it protects from sun who does not want to be safe from sun. And no chemicals even better is really just volcanic water. Then I use the mineral 89 booster because it helps skin retain moisture so if you can help your skin do this it should not have to produce so much oils and it’s really light weight and easy to absorb into skin. And again really good ingredients. Then last thing I use the Double-Action Anti-Acne lotion I can’t say much about this because I just got it but it is nice and light weight feels a lot like mineral 89 just different benighted which is why I could not rate it to high because I have not used it long enough. But I have no doubt that it will be great like all the other products. Granted with covid and the mask my acne is not doing so well but this is still helping me control it more and I came so close to a clear face before wearing masks all the time became a thing. Still loving the Vichy products though. 🤗😁👏👍

My skin loves vitamin C. It just drinks it up!! 😋 I knew I needed more Vitamin C so I did my research and decided to go with VICHY - LiftActiv Vitamin C Brightening Skin Corrector . Benefits 🍊 - LiftActiv Vitamin C Serum's pure and potent antioxidant formula helps address uneven skin tone and helps fight against signs of skin aging. - This Vitamin C Serum creates a brighter complexion, smooths the appearance of skin texture and reduces the look of fine lines in just 10 days. Featured Ingredient: 🍊 15% Pure Vitamin C Natural Origin Hyaluronic Acid How to use: 🍊 • In the morning, use dropper to place 4 to 5 drops of Vitamin C Serum in the palm of your cleansed hand. • Use fingertips to apply to a clean, dry face avoiding the eye area. Let sit for a few moments, then apply your daily moisturizer. 🍊 I can honestly say using this serum has definitely helped with dullness. My skin has been going through the blues and I needed to give it some love. My skin feels so smooth (literally) and looks so awake. When you apply, the smell is different & strong but goes away after a few seconds. I am completely blown away with this product. I am looking into more products by this brand. . Price: $28.50 @walgreens Have you tried this yet?

Ingredients to Fight PIH 💥
If you're like me than once you get a pimple you KNOW you're going to be dealing with the dark mark, or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), that it leaves behind. I've had acne since I was a young teen and have been dealing with fighting these stubborn marks for over 10 years now, here are the ingredients that I look for and how I use them! Vitamin C - an antioxidant, it works to help your skin regenerate and repair damaged cells. The number one goal when fighting pigmentation issues is to speed up the skin's natural regeneration process, so that the damaged cells are sloughed off and replaced with healthy cells. Vitamin C is also inhibits melanin production, so your skin will have a harder time making dark spots when you get a pimple. It will help to brighten the skin, without changing your natural pigmentation! We all about brightening here, not bleaching or lightening the skin! My favorite Vitamin C products are the BeautyStat COSMETICS - Universal C Skin Refiner , SKINCEUTICALS - Phloretin Cf and VICHY - LiftActiv Vitamin C Brightening Skin Corrector . All three have great percentages of Vitamin C an use L-ascorbic acid, it's the purest form of vitamin c. The BeautyStat Vitamin C is my favorite because it's the highest percentage, so it works quickly, and it is extremely stable. Some people are sensitive to vitamin C and should use lower percentages or less pure forms! I only use Vitamin C in my morning routine as some of the products in the night routine don't play nice with it! It also can further protect the skin from UV rays when paired with SPF. Niacinamide - a form of vitamin B3 and an antioxidant, like Vit C. So not only does it help to lighten the skin, but it also reduces skin inflammation and acne! What that means is it helps to fight the cause of PIH while also fighting the effect. It improves the skin's barrier function for overall healthier skin! I use the PETER THOMAS ROTH - Pro Strength Niacinamide Discoloration Treatment it's a powerhouse treatment that combines niacinamide with other skin lightening ingredients - tranexamic acid, kojic acid, alpha arbutin and pentapeptide. I use this treatment at night in conjunction with my tretinoin treatment. Niacinamide and tretinoin are a match made in heaven and are both absolutely necessary in my PIH fighting routine. Niacinamide can help to alleviate the side effects of retinoids. Retinoids - a derivative of vitamin A, it's a key nutrient for cell turnover! It will brighten the skin, reduce acne, and increase collagen production. Not only is a game changer for fighting PIH, but also for anti-aging and acne. There are different types of retinoid - retinol, tretinoin, Retin A and adapalene are all different types. Some are much higher strength and require a prescription! I use a prescription strength retinoid, it is apart of my Curology prescription and uses tretinoin.

Exfoliation 101
There are so many a few different ways to exfoliate and a plethora of products to help you do that. From scrubs to serums to toners to masks, it can become hard to choose which way of exfoliation is right for you. Too many products runs the risk of over-exfoliating and disrupting your moisture barrier, but finding the right routine can bring you smooth, glow skin. ✨I love enzymatic exfoliation- theyre gentle, theyre effective, theres never a warm or tingling sensation no matter how strong it is, and its great for all skin types. The most common enzymes in skincare is pumpkin, pineapple or papaya extract. ✨So good physical exfoliation is all about knowing your skin- it all depends on your skin, and what your trying to achieve. Not all physical exfoliants are created equal either, theres so many different products that you can use in this category depending on what your looking for. Some are much gentler than others, and some can be quite harsh and abrasive, and may actually result in damaging your skin- so you need to be wary of those. ✨My personal favourite type of exfoliation is chemical exfoliation. I have used so many, whether they’ve been good for me or not, and have formulated a great opinion on them. In general, I just found them to be so effective for me, and I love that they can come in so many different forms. If you’re tolerant to chemical exfoliants, you’ll find great results with them! Id love to go into detail about all of these but theres just so many it will take forever. Throughout the week I will go over my favourites, and in the meantime if there’s a specific one you’re curious about, just ask me in the comments!

Donts of Exfoliation
Absolutely do not over-exfoliate! Over-exfoliation can disrupt the skin barrier function by just simply breaking down too many skin cells and disrupting the moisture content on the epidermis. Often times, especially people with oily skin and acne prone believe exfoliating is going to answer all their acne problems, and go on scrubbing 3+ times a week or using an exfoliating mask too often. This is actually counter intuitive for acne as if can actually make you break out more, and it can create sensitivities you dont need. How do you know you’re over exfoliating? If your skin lets you know. Yes, very confusing, but the reality is some people can actually tolerate more acids and scrubs than others, and the best way to figure out how much your skin can take is to incorporate little by little, one product at a time. If your skin is going red for prolonged periods of time, or tingling, even burning, for long or for the entire duration of having the product on (ie. With a mask) you’re probably overdoing it. Another way to prevent over exfoliation is just knowing when to stop. If your skin is happy and glowy and not breaking out, you may not need that new glycolic acid mask, adding an exfoliating mask to your regimen may just tip the scales into skin barrier disruption and dehydration! Be careful with exfoliation!

Balanced PH & Clear Skin from Toner
Toner is always listed as the very first step in skincare routine. The texture is so light weighted and almost watery. Product from drugstore to high end range from $5 all the way to $200 + per bottle. Do we really need it? Is it worth it? And how to use it? With all these questions I had always have, today I got the solutions to these. Toners basically resorts the PH level of our skin. At the same time, it works to shrink the appearance of pores. It gives that quick and effective hydration directly on the surface of skin. Last but not least, it also works to take away leftover dead skin cells or impurities. Dead skin cells could clog pores that leads to bearkouts. Toners are tonic for skin. Although they are all water texture, different formulas in it are targeting different skincare concerns including cleansing, hydrating, brightening or exfoliating. Or maybe all of the above. They way toners work is to give a quick hit of hydration by taking the layer of dead skin cells. The best way to use toners is to use cotton pads to soak it, and apply it on the face by swiping outward from the sides of the nose and upward. It is very hydrating and calming. It is best to do it this way when you are actually use toners for cleaning to remove all the impurities. You can also use bare hands like I always do ( who actually have that time in a workday morning?). This way you just simply put in in the palm and then gently pad it in. Meanwhile you are not waste any single drop of your toner. These 2 are my favorite drugstore toners. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Micellar Cleansing Water Ultra and Makeup Remover I bought this toner recently, and I was pleasantly surprised with the results. It has a pleasant fresh smell and is very good for cleansing dry skin. I find it leaves my skin really velvety soft and without a trace of dryness. VICHY - Pureté Thermale Mineral Micellar Water for Sensitive Skin It is so soothing, lightweight and makes my skin so comfortable. The formula is very gentle and calming. Meanwhile it helps other skincare products absorb well into the skin without irritating my skin. This toner is completely worth trying if you are in the market for a new toner.

🧴simple skincare for normal/combination skin🧴
hi loves! this is my first post on cherie so i decided to share my daily routine for the past few weeks and how these products have changed my skin! note: i exfoliate once a week with either Avène - Gentle Scrub or ST. Ives - EVEN AND BRIGHT PINK LEMON AND MANDARIN ORANGE SCRUB depending on the texture of my skin. products in order of use: VICHY - Pureté Thermale Mineral Micellar Water for Sensitive Skin my experience: i like this product. it leaves my skin clean but not feeling tight. my only complaint is it struggles to take off waterproof makeup. overall, i would rate it 4 out of 5. disclaimer: it does have perfume in it! pixi - Glow Tonic To-Go Pads my experience: several people recommended this to me to help with enlargened and clogged pores, and i am so happy i bought it. i’ve noticed immediate results; my pores are visibly smaller and the bumps on my chin are shrinking. i haven’t experienced any severe irritation from it. i give it 5 out of 5 stars and will continue using it! disclaimer: it has AHAs in it so be careful if you have sensitive skin! VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum my experience: i have been sporadically using this serum for the past few months but only recently buckled down to daily use. the hyaluronic acid in this has made my skin brighter and more plump. it has no perfumes or oil and it makes your skin feel immediately hydrated with no residue. the product does exactly what it promises to, and subsequently i give it a 4 out of 5. pixi - Phenomenal Gel my experience: this moisturizer is nothing to write home about. i switched to this from POND'S - Facial Moisturizers Dry Skin Cream just for something new and i was advised to use it with the Glow Tonic. it is non-scented and leaves a slightly greasy residue. i have noticed no change in my skin since starting to use it. it isn’t a bad product, but it certainly isn’t anything special. if you have normal skin it may work as something to just throw on. i give it a 2 out of 5. JOUVIANCE - Restructiv Lash FX Lash & Brow Fortifying Serum + Primer my experience: i have had nearly invisible eyelashes for the better part of my life and have been actively seeking ways to grow my eyelashes and eyebrows without breaking the bank and found this. in two weeks of use, i have noticed subtle eyelash growth. the primer is applied with a spoolie and is dark enough to pass as mascara so i wear it alone. the serum is to be applied before bed with the thin brush included and you can hardly tell it’s there once it dries. so far i rate it 4 out of 5 but i am excited to see what results it may yield in a few more weeks! if anyone has any comments or recommendations they are SO welcome! i hope you enjoyed reading! -c

Mini Monday! . Shiseido Cleansing Foam: One of my favourite cleanser because the smell is wonderful it leaves my skin is super hydrated when I wash it off. The texture is creamy which I always prefer on a cleanser. . The Elizabeth Arden Cream Cleanser: My absolute favourite! It is very similar to the Shiseido but this doesn’t have a strong smell. This cleanser is very hydrating aswell! . The Vichy Mask: I cant say much about it yet except for the fact that it smells amazing! I have only used it once but I’ve heard great reviews and already hope to buy a bigger size next time! . Elizabeth Arden Hand Cream: Hand creams are so important this. This Elizabeth Arden hand cream leaves my hand hydrated for so long even up to 24-hours. I can say that a truly say that this has lasted 24 hours on my hands. The smell isn't very strong which I prefer and I hope to buy a bigger size of a next time so it can last longer.

Anti aging with Hyaluronic acid
So how does hyaluronic acid work as an “anti-aging” agent? Well, basically, with the amount of water that it helps the skin retain, HA plumps the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Actually, most of our fine lines in our youth are a result of dehydration, so regular treatment with HA will prolong those pesky wrinkles anyway! So 1) with plumped skin 2) longterm treatment of dehydration, you get some good anti-aging benefits with HA. @vichylaboratoires had the right idea when making a Hyaluronic acid mask as part of their LiftActiv line (their first-signs-of-aging) to further instill the idea that HA can be beneficial in treating wrinkles ✨ This mask is so nice and lightweight, doesnt dry down, so it doesn’t give your skin that cracking feeling at the end of the application, and truly makes your skin feel so soft and smooth when washed off. I dont use this as often as recommended but I know id see proper anti-aging results because I already feel like i get plumping effects even with how little I use.

Reviews

An essence and booster might s
An essence and booster might seem like a tedious addition to your regimen- a 2-3 step routine can turn into 4-5 steps- and I totally get that you may not always have time to include all these extra steps in your busy morning/tired evening. Even I sometimes skip these two products under some circumstances, however I always use these them post- masking. Why? Well, essences and boosters contain humectants which help “drag” the ingredients of other products reach the deeper layers of your skin, including actives, to help them work better. So with using these types of products after masking, you can still benefit from the masking ingredients even after washing off the mask! On top of that, they always contain the highest concentrations of actives. The vichy booster contains 89% of Vichy’s famous thermal spring water 15-mineral concoction, while the tatcha essence contains 98.7% of Tatcha’s Hadasei-3 patented anti-aging/antioxidant molecule! Great ingredients with great benefits, so enjoy beautiful glowy skin!

Stronger with you 🥰
Stronger with you 🥰
After trying 5 different thickening and strengthening shampoos my hair finally settled for one. I came across their thickening balm first as someone gifted it to me. My hair loved it, it felt softer and stronger. Then I decided to purchase the shampoo and omg my hair is so much stronger now. I used to have a lot of hairfall A LOT. Now i barely have any hairfull, and my hair looks visibly thicker. My sister, my mom and me, we all use this shampoo and we love it . The balm and the shampoo both retail for $22.95 (Canadian) each

This foaming cleanser is amazing! This is my second bottle I’ve bought. It’s not drying on the skin and really gets all the left over makeup and dirt that my makeup wipes that can’t off. 10/10 would recommend

Recieved this Vichy micellar water deluxe sample in a walgreens grab bag forever ago! I have to say, I absolutely loved it. It was not irritating, really dissolved my makeup, and didn't leave behind an oily finish. Would I purchase the full size? No! Vichy is not cruelty free and I'm trying to be more cruelty free. I have yet to find a cruelty free makeup remover I love :/ Leave recs in the comments!
