PORE WARRIOR : first impressions
PACIfICA - Pore Warrior Oil Fighter Booster Serum i hesitantly give this a rating of 4 stars for multiple reasons. i had the pleasure of using this serum for about a week before i unfortunately accidentally spilled it on my floor. from what i understand, products strong in niacinamide can often take up to three months to take full effect so my short experience with this serum is in no way indicative of the results of someone who had used this product for much longer. THAT ALL BEING SAID... this was my experience with this product! the texture is very slippery and similar to the PACIfICA - Water Bounce Moisture Shot Booster Serumthat i have also used. i would maybe also compare it to the VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serumbut less gel-like. the scent is light and kale-like, but far lighter in fragrance than any other pacifica serum i have used. it felt very nice and seeped into the skin well and adding a moisturizer or wearing makeup on top did not cause any issues. i did not experience any irritation using it. i wish i could have continued to use it and see if there were any long-term benefits :( hope you guys enjoyed! feel free to follow here and on my IG @chloebrk.mua

Hi lovelies 💕 Here is what I’ve been using for the past few months and I just want to say - a very simple routine goes a long way. Cleanser: your skin should feel clean after you wash your face, but it shouldn’t feel ‘squeaky’. I think there are no need to use cleanser with active ingredients and acids as they strip your skin of your natural oils & pretty much leave your skin irritated. Gentle cleanser works best for me. I normally cleanse 1 time in the morning, and 2 times at night. Serum: I always apply serums while my skin is still wet. I don’t dry my face with a towel all the way, better yet, let your skin dry on its own and apply your serums while the skin it a bit wet. I warm up my serum in my hands for 2 seconds before I apply it to my face. This specific serum from Vichy is great, and it is safe to use on your eyes so I apply it everywhere. Moisturizer: something I did not know when I was younger - no matter what your skin type is, moisturize. Find a moisturizer that works for you and apply it every.single.day. I had a bit of an oily skin growing up and thought a moisturizer would make it more oily and would clog pores, so I skipped that step completely. After trying a bunch of creams/moisturizers/lotions, I am now using the most simple one you can find in any store, and it does it’s job perfectly for me and does not clog my precious pores. I highly recommend a simple moisturizer during the day, no active ingredients needed. SPF: simply a must. Don’t skip it. I wear SPF even when I’m at home as the sun could still get it. Another mistake that I made when I was younger is not wearing SPF which made my PIH worse. I use this ultra light SPF which is non-comedogenic and creates a very good base for makeup. This combo of lotion + SPF is my favourite as they feel light on the skin and they don’t ‘roll’ on the surface. PM: this is where these active ingredients come in handy. Choosing your night treatment is very important as this is when you can address what concerns you the most and the treatment will soak right into your skin and will sit there overnight while you sleep 😴 making your $ count as PM treatments get pricey and you want to get the most of using them. My concerns are PIH and dark spots, niacinimide works very well for me. This very simple PM lotion from Cerave is very effective if you struggle from PIH, I highly recommend it 👍🏼 Don’t forget to drop your suggestions for me in the comments ❤️

Welcome to my skincare collection VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream actually I think this is now called EYE FORTIFIER?? Just got it today to layer with my eye cream. The skin around my eyes are super dry so I just wanted to add in another light layer. This product is absolutely light weight. I’m still trying to figure out how much to use.... apparently my eyes are not irritated yet lol lot of the time they are :( I felt a tiny sticky right after but it absorbs fairly fast and good to get on the eye mask after. See how it goes. Wish me luck 🤞
Blackhead/Textured skin? HELP
Please excuse the shine on my face and undereyes bags, I just finished my night time skincare. I used to have horrible acne and went to a dermatologist and finally got it cleared up a few years ago. I am so incredibly grateful for how far my skin has come but I've noticed even though I don't get big clusters of pimples anymore, I usually get really tiny annoying clogged pores and blackheads now and those few little tiny bumps are the last step between my skin now and super smooth skin and I would love some help! My MORNING SKINCARE ROUTINE starts with "washing" my face with just some water. (I have over stripped my skin in the past and this better balances my oils) LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner I use this on a cotton pad just to get any excess dirt and oil off from the time I was sleeping. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum I have seen a big improvement with the hydration and how plump my skin looks. VICHY - Aqualia Thermal Crème I just started using this because I ran out of my other one and it's fine. Hasn't upset my skin but hasn't really been wow-ing me. VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream I go in with this under my eye cream because my undereyes can get VERY dry so it helps add an extra boost of hydration so my concealer doesn't look cakey. CLINIQUE - All About Eyes Rich Eye Cream I heard this eye cream was good for hydration but I honestly haven't noticed a big difference. The Vichy eye gel I use before this has given me more impressive results. Not a huge fan. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50 I do really like this one because it's lightweight and hasn't negatively affected my skin at all since using it. NIGHTTIME SKINCARE ROUTINE Neutrogena - Fragrance-Free Wipes Twin Pack I KNOW using makeup wipes is not a good thing! I'm very nervous to use an oil based cleanser to take off my makeup, but I would be open to it! For now I am using wipes to remove my makeup. Cetaphil - Daily Facial Cleanser I use this cleanser to wash my face at night and it's okay. I've just been using it ever since I was on medication from my dermatologist, so I just stuck with a very basic cleanser. LANCÔME - Tonique Confort Comforting Rehydrating Toner With a cotton pad just after I cleanse. LA ROCHE-POSAY - Hyalu B5 Pure Hyaluronic Acid Face Serum VICHY - Minéral 89 Eyes Hyaluronic Acid Eye Gel Cream CLINIQUE - All About Eyes Rich Eye Cream I do the eye step before my adapaline because it prevents the adapaline from getting too close around my eyes since there's a thick cream barrier.. DIFFERIN - DIFFERIN Acne Treatment Gel This gel changed my life. It has helped keep my acne at bay so I love this stuff. VICHY - Aqualia Thermal Crème CLARINS - Santal Face Treatment Oil I love this oil so much.

Pure Vitamin C + peptides = glowing skin 😍
The vitamin C strength is only 10% in these ampoules, but it’s the perfect concentration when considering the other ingredients. The ampoule also contains hyaluronic acid, water, and peptides. There is no added fragrance; in fact, there is only 10 ingredients all together. Be warned: the smell isn’t pleasant. It’s bearable, but smells like stale vitamin capsules. There is enough in each ampoule for two uses, i.e. morning and night. Splurge for the 30 day pack to get more bang for your buck! My skin is brighter, tighter, and more moisturized overall. I like that it includes water to work alongside the hyaluronic acid so moisture is drawn into the skin instead of drying it out. Here’s the ingredient list & CosDNA profile for ingredient safety/acne concerns: AQUA / WATER / EAU • ASCORBIC ACID • BUTYLENE GLYCOL • DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL • GLYCERIN • SODIUM HYALURONATE • HYDROLYZED RICE PROTEIN • HYDROLYZED HYALURONIC ACID • HYDROLYZED LUPINE PROTEIN • PENTYLENE GLYCOL http://cosdna.com/eng/cosmetic_2267486502.html VICHY - LiftActiv Specialist Peptide-C Anti-Aging Ampoules
Day one of Tretinoin 0.04%
I’m a special ed teacher of students with moderate intellectual disabilities. Currently doing both in person (hello maskne) and online teaching (aka stressssssss). Also my district told me 3 days ago I’m getting three new students so stress times ten!! I never used to get breakouts. They started probably my junior year of college, so four and a half years ago. I’ve always been conscious of skin care and my acne never got out of hand, I just could never get rid of the ever present 2-5 pimples on my face at all times. They definitely appear most around my period. Its definitely the worst it has ever been this year with a lot of added stress on top of wearing a mask all day long. I feel like I’ve tried everything. Over the last five years I’ve gotten on birth control, done proactiv, Curology, rodan + fields, differin, every benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid face wash or mask out there, I even drink a teaspoon of liquid chlorophyll every day to try and detox from within. I also drink at least 64 oz of water every day. I try to drink more, but as a teacher I don’t get many bathroom breaks. I’m beyond frustrated and feel like I just can’t get my face clear! I gave Differin a solid chance because I really thought that, since it used to be prescription only, it would work. After 4 months of using it, I feel like it did an okay job. I never really got big painful pimples, but I never really got those anyway and I was still getting the same amount of overall breakouts each month. I decided I need to try something stronger, but I didn’t want to have to go to the dermatologist. That’s when I found Rory! I was prescribed Tretinoin 0.04% with Azelaic Acid 0.8% and Vitamin E and hyaluronic acid. It was $5 for my first bottle and will be $75 every 3 months from here on out. I got approved within a few hours and it arrived at my apartment in 2 days. I’m doing this post because I never actually take pictures to compare progress (because I’m so sick of never actually seeing any progress!!) and to try to wish for some good results finally! Here’s the rest of the routine that I’ll be doing: AM- LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Hydrating Gentle Face Cleanser VICHY - LiftActiv Specialist Peptide-C Anti-Aging Ampoules VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence LA ROCHE-POSAY - Toleriane Double Repair Face Moisturizer Bioré - UV Aqua Rich Watery Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ PM- VERSED - DAY DISSOLVE Cleansing Balm spectro - Jel Cleanser VICHY - Minéral 89 Face Serum COSRX - Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence CeraVe - Skin Renewing Night Cream Then I’ll do the Tretinoin last Wish me luck!!!

VICHY - Pureté Thermale One Step Face Cleanser for Sensitive Skin As soon as i applied to cleanse, my skin turned itchy and red instantly. My Morning Routine ☀️
VICHY - Pureté Thermale One Step Face Cleanser for Sensitive Skin This is the perfect AM cleanser for anyone with sensitive skin. Its a cleansing milk, it tones and removes eye makeup. It’s extremely gentle and hydrating and perfect to start off the morning without stripping the skin. Murad - Essential-C Toner My Cleanser already does the toning but if I feel like my skin is looking dull, I’ll add this in. It has Antioxidants and Amino acids that brighten my skin. Murad - Hydro-Dynamic Quenching Essence I’ve been using this essence for years. It’s extremely hydrating, And anti aging. It contains Glycolic acid for some resurfacing and essential oils. It makes my skin feel really smooth and supple. It’s lightweight and restores cell function to rejuvenate and plump skin while exfoliating the impurities, dirt, and oil that cause dullness and uneven tone. SUNDAY RILEY - C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum I love the serum, I do have sensitive skin and some forms of Vitamin C can be irritating but not this one. It contains 15% THD Ascorbate Vitamin C, it’s brightening, clarifying, and has antioxidant properties. It also helps fight the first signs of aging caused by stress, lifestyle, sun, and pollution. It definitely has brightened my skin and made my skin tone more even. biopelle - Dark Circle Relief Cream 1 Percent Vitamin K Oxide I have the type of dark circles that are a blueish hue due to my veins being visible because I’m so fair. Vitamin K is an ingredient that helps blood clot, so it also helps blood vessels less visible. Aveeno - Absolutely Ageless Daily Moisturizer SPF 30 I’ve always preferred moisturizers with SPF, as opposed to using two separate products and Aveeno has always been a non irritating for me. The Absolutely Ageless contains antioxidants that help stimulate collagen and firm the skin and fights free radical Damage. It also won Allures Best of beauty Award. dermalogica - Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 Moisturizer I switch between this and Aveenos SPF moisturizer. I recently got a small sample of this and wanted to try it out due to all the great reviews. It has Peptides, Antioxidants, Amino acids and fights off Free Radical Damage. It also has a lighter texture than Aveeno which I like for Summer. NATURE'S BOUNTY - Optimal Solutions Hair, Skin and Nails Gummies I use the Advanced version with 2x the Biotin. I definitely see a difference in my nails the most, they’re usually brittle and break very easily, but when I take these they’re much stronger. My hair also seems healthy and shiner. (Not in the pic) I also try to keep my skin products in the boxes to prevent oxidation.

Before and After sensitive skin routine
Hi Cherie fam 😊 I started my night routine for sensitive skin on November 7 (I have a post about it). I don’t know if you can tell from the pictures, but I feel like my skin improved. My pores are smaller, my skin is very soft (feels like velvet), brighter and not tight at all. The redness is still here, but I know rosacea treatment takes longer to get better and it’s winter, which makes the redness worse. Overall I’m very happy with my PM skin routine! I should also mention that I added oil to my routine (tarte - Maracuja Oil or The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil ) That’s how I layer: Neutrogena - Ultra Gentle Daily Cleanser VICHY - Mineralizing Thermal Water Spray Rich in 15 Minerals (not every day, just when I feel the redness is worse than normal) The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% The Ordinary - 100% Organic Cold Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil OR tarte - Maracuja Oil CeraVe - PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion (I didn’t rate 5 stars bc I don’t feel it’s the best moisturizer I used in my life, I actually like the The Ordinary - Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA better) The Ordinary - Azelaic Acid Suspension 10% Hopefully I’ll have another post in a couple of months about improvement on the redness! 😘
I WILL NOT REPURCHASE
For 2021, I have made a resolution to no longer purchase makeup and skincare from brands that are not cruelty-free. Subsequently, I have unfortunately had to abandon about half of my makeup and skincare products. While it is sad to give up products I loved and used for so long, I can’t bear the thought of continuing to purchase makeup from brands that do such horrific things to animals. I would rather take the time to research ethical dupes than to continue paying these companies to mistreat animals. Pictured are some of what used to be my absolute favourite products, and below I will list a handful of (predominantly drugstore) brands that are not cruelty-free. I know there are plenty more, so please feel free to add them in the comments. Fave body wash 😇
VICHY - Normaderm Phytoaction Daily Deep Cleansing Gel with Salicylic Acid This is my favourite body wash even though I think it might be meant as a face wash!! It makes my skin feel so nice :) My skin breaks out easily and since I’ve used this cleansing gel as body wash my body skin has looked way more clear :) It does have a fungal acne trigger: - PEG-120 Methyl Glucose Dioleate But doesn’t seem to bother my skin 🤷🏽♀️ BUT I really want to find a bar soap that I can use for a body wash cuz less packaging = more sustainable and environmentally friendly ^ problem is most bar soaps contain oil and that’s not safe for fungal acne 😭

5 Exfoliating masks to choose from!
I have alot of masks. My favourite type of mask is an exfoliating mask. I have blackheads, clogged pores and texture issues and I find gentle exfoliation (no more than 2 times a week) is really helpful. These are my top 5 masks. You do not need all of these- you can decide which one or two would be good for you! Also you can check out my reel for this on Instagram @leena.tabaja for the textures! Youth to the People- Yerbe Mate mask. This is a very good enzymatic exfoliating mask, and also has some small gentle physical exfoliating particles in the product. YTTP is famously vegan and sustainable and everything active has a natural product inspiration which I love, and I have not been disappointed by one product from them. I love their mission and their vision and will continue supporting them forever- they're amazing. This mask is no exception, I found it so helpful and perfectly textured for a gentle, effective exfoliation and it smells like ginger- so invigorating. This product is best used on damp skin and only needs 3 minutes- so I actually get in the shower, grab the jar, wet my face without getting my hands wet, and I apply the mask for 3 minutes before continuing my shower. That simple. Korres Resurfacing mask- is a triple killer: chemical exfoliation, enzymatic exfoliation and physical as well. I use this when my pores and blackheads are at their worst, or if I skipped my skincare routine for a day or two and need a good detoxing mask- this is the one. Cleans everything up in 10 minutes and doesnt irritate my skin. I find the physical exfoliation in here also very gentle. Vichy Double Peel- one of the first exfoliating masks I've ever tried and probably the one to get me so into mask exfoliation. Verrrrrry gentle physical exfoliation and chemical as well- made from natural sources of AHAs. I use this for 15 minutes- by this time, the mask would have dried but doesnt feel tigt, as its a gel texture, I let the chemical exfoliation do it work and then scrub the mask off with my fingertips. You can feel the physical particles exfoliating and removing all the dead skin the chemicals were turnover- and if you see the product browning or greying in your hands- that means its working! Summer Fridays Overtime Mask- love this as a treat for my skin- love the pumpkin, gingerbread smell, it really feels like a pamper-loving mask. Creamy texture is nice and nourishing, and contains enzymes and more physical exfoliating particles. The pumpkin enzyme will gentle exfoliate, and the physical particles will get everything off, but they are a but bigger than the ones listed in the masks above- so scrub very gently. Its still nice and gentle as long as you dont scrub too hard- never scrub too hard anyway though, right? High Maintenance Peeling mask- this ones a little bit different. This has enzymtic activity for the exfolaiton, but also uses hemp seed oil to resurface, which is also quite nourishing. Its quite unique, and thats why I like it.
There are so many a few different ways to exfoliate and a plethora of products to help you do that. From scrubs to serums to toners to masks, it can become hard to choose which way of exfoliation is right for you. Too many products runs the risk of over-exfoliating and disrupting your moisture barrier, but finding the right routine can bring you smooth, glow skin. ✨I love enzymatic exfoliation- theyre gentle, theyre effective, theres never a warm or tingling sensation no matter how strong it is, and its great for all skin types. The most common enzymes in skincare is pumpkin, pineapple or papaya extract. ✨So good physical exfoliation is all about knowing your skin- it all depends on your skin, and what your trying to achieve. Not all physical exfoliants are created equal either, theres so many different products that you can use in this category depending on what your looking for. Some are much gentler than others, and some can be quite harsh and abrasive, and may actually result in damaging your skin- so you need to be wary of those. ✨My personal favourite type of exfoliation is chemical exfoliation. I have used so many, whether they’ve been good for me or not, and have formulated a great opinion on them. In general, I just found them to be so effective for me, and I love that they can come in so many different forms. If you’re tolerant to chemical exfoliants, you’ll find great results with them! Id love to go into detail about all of these but theres just so many it will take forever. Throughout the week I will go over my favourites, and in the meantime if there’s a specific one you’re curious about, just ask me in the comments!

My skin loves vitamin C. It just drinks it up!! 😋 I knew I needed more Vitamin C so I did my research and decided to go with VICHY - LiftActiv Vitamin C Brightening Skin Corrector . Benefits 🍊 - LiftActiv Vitamin C Serum's pure and potent antioxidant formula helps address uneven skin tone and helps fight against signs of skin aging. - This Vitamin C Serum creates a brighter complexion, smooths the appearance of skin texture and reduces the look of fine lines in just 10 days. Featured Ingredient: 🍊 15% Pure Vitamin C Natural Origin Hyaluronic Acid How to use: 🍊 • In the morning, use dropper to place 4 to 5 drops of Vitamin C Serum in the palm of your cleansed hand. • Use fingertips to apply to a clean, dry face avoiding the eye area. Let sit for a few moments, then apply your daily moisturizer. 🍊 I can honestly say using this serum has definitely helped with dullness. My skin has been going through the blues and I needed to give it some love. My skin feels so smooth (literally) and looks so awake. When you apply, the smell is different & strong but goes away after a few seconds. I am completely blown away with this product. I am looking into more products by this brand. . Price: $28.50 @walgreens Have you tried this yet?
Ingredients to Fight PIH 💥
If you're like me than once you get a pimple you KNOW you're going to be dealing with the dark mark, or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), that it leaves behind. I've had acne since I was a young teen and have been dealing with fighting these stubborn marks for over 10 years now, here are the ingredients that I look for and how I use them! Vitamin C - an antioxidant, it works to help your skin regenerate and repair damaged cells. The number one goal when fighting pigmentation issues is to speed up the skin's natural regeneration process, so that the damaged cells are sloughed off and replaced with healthy cells. Vitamin C is also inhibits melanin production, so your skin will have a harder time making dark spots when you get a pimple. It will help to brighten the skin, without changing your natural pigmentation! We all about brightening here, not bleaching or lightening the skin! My favorite Vitamin C products are the BeautyStat COSMETICS - Universal C Skin Refiner , SKINCEUTICALS - Phloretin Cf and VICHY - LiftActiv Vitamin C Brightening Skin Corrector . All three have great percentages of Vitamin C an use L-ascorbic acid, it's the purest form of vitamin c. The BeautyStat Vitamin C is my favorite because it's the highest percentage, so it works quickly, and it is extremely stable. Some people are sensitive to vitamin C and should use lower percentages or less pure forms! I only use Vitamin C in my morning routine as some of the products in the night routine don't play nice with it! It also can further protect the skin from UV rays when paired with SPF. Niacinamide - a form of vitamin B3 and an antioxidant, like Vit C. So not only does it help to lighten the skin, but it also reduces skin inflammation and acne! What that means is it helps to fight the cause of PIH while also fighting the effect. It improves the skin's barrier function for overall healthier skin! I use the PETER THOMAS ROTH - Pro Strength Niacinamide Discoloration Treatment it's a powerhouse treatment that combines niacinamide with other skin lightening ingredients - tranexamic acid, kojic acid, alpha arbutin and pentapeptide. I use this treatment at night in conjunction with my tretinoin treatment. Niacinamide and tretinoin are a match made in heaven and are both absolutely necessary in my PIH fighting routine. Niacinamide can help to alleviate the side effects of retinoids. Retinoids - a derivative of vitamin A, it's a key nutrient for cell turnover! It will brighten the skin, reduce acne, and increase collagen production. Not only is a game changer for fighting PIH, but also for anti-aging and acne. There are different types of retinoid - retinol, tretinoin, Retin A and adapalene are all different types. Some are much higher strength and require a prescription! I use a prescription strength retinoid, it is apart of my Curology prescription and uses tretinoin.
Mini Monday! . Shiseido Cleansing Foam: One of my favourite cleanser because the smell is wonderful it leaves my skin is super hydrated when I wash it off. The texture is creamy which I always prefer on a cleanser. . The Elizabeth Arden Cream Cleanser: My absolute favourite! It is very similar to the Shiseido but this doesn’t have a strong smell. This cleanser is very hydrating aswell! . The Vichy Mask: I cant say much about it yet except for the fact that it smells amazing! I have only used it once but I’ve heard great reviews and already hope to buy a bigger size next time! . Elizabeth Arden Hand Cream: Hand creams are so important this. This Elizabeth Arden hand cream leaves my hand hydrated for so long even up to 24-hours. I can say that a truly say that this has lasted 24 hours on my hands. The smell isn't very strong which I prefer and I hope to buy a bigger size of a next time so it can last longer.
Anti aging with Hyaluronic acid
So how does hyaluronic acid work as an “anti-aging” agent? Well, basically, with the amount of water that it helps the skin retain, HA plumps the skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Actually, most of our fine lines in our youth are a result of dehydration, so regular treatment with HA will prolong those pesky wrinkles anyway! So 1) with plumped skin 2) longterm treatment of dehydration, you get some good anti-aging benefits with HA. @vichylaboratoires had the right idea when making a Hyaluronic acid mask as part of their LiftActiv line (their first-signs-of-aging) to further instill the idea that HA can be beneficial in treating wrinkles ✨ This mask is so nice and lightweight, doesnt dry down, so it doesn’t give your skin that cracking feeling at the end of the application, and truly makes your skin feel so soft and smooth when washed off. I dont use this as often as recommended but I know id see proper anti-aging results because I already feel like i get plumping effects even with how little I use.

Lightweight & invisible SPF from the drugstore
Yes, it’s not summer anymore. BUT I’m not giving up sunscreen for the cooler months and neither should you! I love using sunscreen every single day. And I’m always on the hunt for a new one thats super lightweight but effective. This Vichy one super lightweight and great to reapply throughout the day because it just glides over makeup but... it might not be my favourite SPF. VICHY - Idéal Soleil Ultra-Light Face Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 The good: + Glowy, but not too greasy. It does look very dewy at the beginning, but it does settle into a slightly less dewy finish. Still dewy though so if you have oily skin, just be aware of that: + This texture is like a very light liquid, not like a lotion. And because of this texture it is so easy to slide over the skin. + Although the colour is white at first, it does turn invisible on the skin pretty quickly. I don’t experience any white cast. + Sinks into the skin super easily and doesn’t pill or affect your makeup application. + This is great to reapply over your makeup throughout the day because it just glides over whatever is on your face and since it’s invisible, it doesn’t affect the colours of the makeup that you have on. + A super accessible product that you can pick up at almost any drugstore. It’s around $25 depending on where you purchase it which isn’t too cheap but feels like a fair price. + Provides broad spectrum protection against UVA (which lead to aging) and UVB (which lead to burns) rays. + I love how thin and sleek the packaging is. It would be great to throw in a bag or purse when travelling or for a day trip. + It’s fragrance free and oil free for my sensitive or acne prone friends. The not so good: - I do have a TINY bit of skin irritation from this product. Just a tiny bit of stinging. It’s not enough for me to stop using the product but still.. probably not the best thing. - If you have oily skin, you may want to go for a more matte product just to be safe. And if you apply over your makeup you may want to use some powder to mattify the look. Worth it? I do think it’s worth the price for $25! It’s a good amount of product and the product is effective and very pleasant to use (aside from the stinging). Will I repurchase? I honestly think I won’t and may opt for the LA ROCHE-POSAY - Anthelios Ultra Fluid Face Lotion SPF 50+instead once I run out. Just because of the skin irritation that I get. Which is sad because I think overall it’s a great product :( Ps I have combo, acne prone skin 💕
Started breaking out suddenly
Skin type: Combination I’ve been struggling with acne scars and mild acne and lately its been flaring up. I have a lot of whiteheads and I use a Pimple patch on those. I’ve been double cleansing and applying suncreen every day and I’m honestly so insecure to a point where I won’t even go to see my boyfriend. I have listed the products I’m using below & honestly need help! Sunscreen: VICHY - Idéal Soleil Ultra-Light Face Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Oil based cleanser: N°7 - Radiant Results Nourishing Micellar Cleansing Oil Face wash: Cetaphil - Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser Serums: The Ordinary - Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% THE inkey LIST - Retinol Serum Moisturizer: N°7 - HydraLuminous Water Surge Gel Cream I’ve just started using the 2 serums. I use Niacinamide AM & PM & Retinol only at night. Im starting to think this is maskne cause this happened just 2.5 weeks ago. The first 2 pictures on top were taken 4 weeks ago & the bottom 2 was taken last night. If anyone can help me out with this, i’d be so grateful.

An essence and booster might seem like a tedious addition to your regimen- a 2-3 step routine can turn into 4-5 steps- and I totally get that you may not always have time to include all these extra steps in your busy morning/tired evening. Even I sometimes skip these two products under some circumstances, however I always use these them post- masking. Why? Well, essences and boosters contain humectants which help “drag” the ingredients of other products reach the deeper layers of your skin, including actives, to help them work better. So with using these types of products after masking, you can still benefit from the masking ingredients even after washing off the mask! On top of that, they always contain the highest concentrations of actives. Heres a picture of all my current Vichy laboratoires masks- which I LOVE. I can’t wait to try out the new ones coming out too! Product details: Hyalu mask from the Liftactiv line - a hydrating mask with anti-aging properties as the hyaluronic acid content helps skin hold moisture 💦 💦 Mineral mask - a hydrating mask with the Vichy Thermal water base that allows your skin to soak up hydration and also benefit from the nutrition of all the minerals in their spring water! 💧 💧 Double Peel mask - an exfoliating mask with chemical exfoliation properties through AHA extracts and physical exfoliation from finely-ground volcanic rocks (my favourite mask!) 🍎 🍊 🥝 🍓🌋 .
If you have combo or oily skin, like me, then texture is very important to you. And texture is the one of the biggest things I look for when shopping for day creams- something that moisturizes and actually makes your skin feel smooth and supple, and not feeling tacky or sticky throughout the day. Most importantly I want my moisturizer to keep my oils at bay throughout the day without risking looking too shiny before getting home. This day cream does exactly that for me. The formula is mattifying and cooling so its great for oily skin! I compare the texture to frosting- think of a matte fondant cake looking all smooth and NOT shiny. And while its a mattifying and not overly creamy it does an excellent job at making my skin feel moisturized- not tight like some drying anti-acne moisturizers do. With fermented black tea and blueberry extracts, it also helps combat first signs of aging- a definite plus for me. For better results, I use its serum underneath- which completes the entire moisturizing, hydrating, anti-aging experience for me 😇
Stronger with you 🥰
After trying 5 different thickening and strengthening shampoos my hair finally settled for one. I came across their thickening balm first as someone gifted it to me. My hair loved it, it felt softer and stronger. Then I decided to purchase the shampoo and omg my hair is so much stronger now. I used to have a lot of hairfall A LOT. Now i barely have any hairfull, and my hair looks visibly thicker. My sister, my mom and me, we all use this shampoo and we love it . The balm and the shampoo both retail for $22.95 (Canadian) each
