Accurate 1920s Colours for Fall/Winter
This is a scale of colours that I’ve curated through research of the 1920s. The shades are exact colour matches of real 1920s makeup colours. Lipstick: RUSSIAN Red by MAC. Blush: Apple Red by MAC Eyeshadows: Clear Vaseline by Aquaphor, Dark Green (Aja) and Dark Blue (Yejide) by Juvia’s Place (The Magic Mini Palette) Light Green (marsh) by Lime Crime (Venus 2) 1920s is the first tine in modern history that makeup was becoming more accepted - the mouth was shaped round and small with dark raspberry and purpley brown lipstick. Eyeshadows were applied mostly for evening wear, some Vaseline on the eyes was unite common for day wear. Eye shadow was smoked out very thin around the eye in grey, blue and green - with pin thin curved eyebrows that reached all the way out to the hairline. Blush was sold in plum and raspberry shades most often available in paste or powder formulas.

My Makeup Journey - 1st satisfying full glam
I've been on a makeup journey for the past few months and I've been peaking in the last 2 weeks. I've become obsessed watching JuicyJas videos and buying lots of makeup! Some makeup was given to me from friends' ipsy bags, bought as Sephora with help from an associate (very beginning of journey) and a bulk was bought from Ulta, Walmart and Target based on reviews by JuicyJas and my own curiosity. This is my first really good, satisfying full glam look. I've had huge trouble with acne from one particular break out induced by stress about a month ago which really kickstarted my makeup experimentation. I used to wear barely anything but this breakout was super distracting and embarrassing as I am a scab picker and cannot leave things alone. My face has big red spots from picked scabs and dark scars. I have been doing this all my life and know they will go away and fade eventually. The skin finally almost healed. This whole look took about two hours which included my skin care routine, letting moisturizers and primers set, and washing sponges and cleaning brushes. As you can see I used a huge amount of products. They worked well to cover my acne and it was my first time doing a pink eyeshadow look. I loved it!! I only use a small amount of NARS foundation because it's pretty heavy which I don't like much but I do love adding a small amount over my troubled areas over my Maybelline foundation. I also used e.l.f. eyeliner tape to do the wing for the first time. It worked so well! I have been doing winged eyeliner for years and I'm still not very good at it so I was so happy to find out this product existed. I can do winged eyeliner but it takes much longer to get it just right without the tape. I'm excited for when I better at doing makeup and have less acne to cover up so I don't have to spend so much time getting ready but still get the same results. I am a very expressive person and would love to do full glam everyday! I love coordinating my eyes and lips with my outfits. I went to the movies with this look and wore a pastel pink beanie and pastel pink sneakers to match it. My next project is figuring out how to do my eyebrows!

🚀BOOST Your mood with these lipsticks
There is just something magical that happens when you wear your favorite lipstick or a bright color to make your skin POP! For me, I love the bright colors like pink, orange and a dark red! As someone who is medium toned, these colors work great with my complexion and don’t wash me out. These colors also make me feel confident, flirty and fun year round. Orange lipstick is great during the summer months and really enhance the summer glow. I tend to tone down my makeup with soft neutral colors so my orange lips can really pop. Kokie - Kokie Matte Lipstick Red or Pink lipstick: I’ve once been told that if you want people to pay more attention to you, put on a red or pink lipstick and you will capture their attention. That being said, find a shade that goes with your makeup and skin tone. I love a good vampy dark red and a beautiful bright cherry red. Lime Crime - Velvetines Liquid Lipstick FENTY BEAUTY - Stunna Lip Paint Longwear Fluid Lip Color FENTY BEAUTY - Poutsicle Juicy Satin Lipstick To me, the finish doesn’t matter, I like them all. If you’re going to an event where you cannot apply lipstick often, opt in for a liquid lipstick that ofdees long wear protection. I like to wear matte lipsticks during the daytime and more glossy lipsticks during the evening. The brand doesn’t matter as long as it doesn’t leave my lips dry. Kokie is an awesome drugstore brand that makes great lipsticks for a super affordable price. If you want something higher end, Fenty and Lime Crime can be found at Ulta or Sephora. I’m happy to say that Kokie, Fenty and Lime Crime are winners in my book! 😍 SWATCHES Top 2 Bottom: Fenty Stunna Lip Pain in Unlocked Kokie Cosmetics Matte in Firecracker Fenty Poutsicle in Alpha Doll Lime Crime Velvetines in Red Rose #cheriepartner #moodboostinglipstick

Model off-duty look ✨ #CheriePartner
Have you ever wondered how do models look so good on AND off the runway? My research tells me the key to that off duty, “I didn’t even try” look is achievable by following these easy steps and keeping it simple 🙌 Let’s start with skin. Models seem to have flawless skin, to achieve that perfected look we just need a glowy base and an even skin tone. For this look I skipped foundation altogether and opted for concealer only, I went in with the DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer this creamy concealer gives full coverage but a natural finish that is never cakey. I used it to spot conceal and to cover my under-eyes circles. Next is brows, models keep they’re brows defined but feathery. I used Lime Crime - Bushy Brow Precision Pen & ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Dipbrow Gel I recommend just following the natural shape of you brow and not overdoing it. I used the essence - Sun Club Matt Bronzing Powder to give my cheeks and jaw some definition, and on my eyes as well. Essence makes beautiful powder products, in my opinion. This formula is buttery soft and blends beautifully. I personally prefer products that can be built up since they’re more forgiving, rather than having something super pigmented upon first application because I’ve been guilty of going overboard. It has a coconut-y scent but it’s very faint, tho I’d steer clear if you’re sensitive to fragrance. You can find this for $4.99 at Ulta! For blush I went in with the essence - Satin Touch Blush in ‘Satin Coral’ for a subtle touch of color and essence - Pure Nude Highlighter which is probably my favorite powder highlighter ever. Since I used all powders for my makeup today I decided to give the e.l.f. - Elf+ Glow Dewy Mist a try! I picked this up recently and wow, I’m actually very impressed with the mist itself but the packaging is not the best ☹️ the nozzle just kind of spits out the mist and leaves big droplets on the skin which could potentially ruin all your work. BUT, let’s talk about the product inside because I think it’s really good! This mist is formulated with coconut water, hyaluronic acid and argan oil as key ingredients, all amazing ingredients for hydrated, dewy skin. It’s kinda milky in texture and feels very refreshing, helps powders melt beautifully on skin but I wish it was more of a fine mist. Lastly, for lips I went in with the CALEY COSMETICS - Beach Babe Natural Lips in ‘Nude’ which is very close to my natural lip shade, added some Glossier. - Balm Dotcom in Cherry since it has a subtle red tint and I think a subtle lip is key here. I topped it all off with the Glossier. - Glossier. Lip Gloss in Red. Love this gloss, it isn’t goopy or heavy, and the shine lasts long. And that’s it! Lmk if you have any tricks to looking effortless below!

Look well-rested and glowy in 10 minutes! ✨
Okay so, I woke up at 2:00 am to watch my boys (BTS) perform live and although I had a great time and loved watching them on stage my face shows I got like 4 hours of sleep, so I thought this is the perfect time to show how to look like you actually got a healthy 8 hrs of sleep and looking fresh 😌 Let’s start with skin, I went with one of my favorite products to bring back light to my face. The ohii - Wake Up Pen reminds me of the infamous YSL Touché éclat, but it’s of course not as esspensive 😇 this universal highlight can be used as an eye brightened and on the high points of the face as good ol’ highlighter. It’s vegan, and perfect to fake that fresh-faced look I adore. After applying that I went in with my one and only DIOR - Forever Skin Correct Concealer I’ve raced about this so much, y’all know I love this. Next I used the ohii - Cheek Smudge in Flush to fake a rosy glow. This dewy blush is perfect to add glow and color to the cheeks. Flush is a soft rose pink that I think looks really cute on my yellow/neutral undertone. I love that this is very easy to build up, it doesn’t move my foundation or concealer and it looks super glowy and fresh. I also used the KALEIDO COSMETICS - Glow Balm - Lip & Cheek Jelly in watermelon on the high points of my cheeks to add more dewiness, I have swatches of this on another post if you wanna check it out! I did my brows with my favorite pen, the Lime Crime - Bushy Brow Precision Pen its the best brow pen I’ve tried, super easy to use! And also used the ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Clear Brow Gel I’m honestly not such a huge fan of this brow gel but I couldn’t find my Elf wow brow so I went with this. It leaves my brows looking too stiff for my taste. For mascara I used another favorite, the wet n wild - Mega Length Mascara this is such a lovely everyday mascara. It lengthens and lifts lashes beautifully, I have the waterproof version and it doesn’t smudge on me or flakes. It’s one of the best mascara I’ve used ever. And it’s less than $5. I also used my peripera - Ink Pocket Shadow Palette I cant recall the name of this quad right now, and it’s only written in Korean, but I used the bottom right shadow. Lastly, for lips I used the Kosas - Wet Lip Oil Gloss I like this because it looks really pretty on, it feels very conditioning and long lasting and I really love the scent. It smells like orange bread with vanilla icing to me, and it reminds me of my childhood so maybe it’s just the nostalgia factor that does it for me. I do think, however, that is a bit pricey for the amount of product you get. Kosas reasoning for this is that this is a lip treatment and a ‘gloss’ second, but I’ve found a similar product that is like $10 cheaper and performs about the same. And that’s that! #CheriePartner

Natural-looking brows 🌸
I used to be into the Instagram brow trend and would have super defined brows. Lately, I've been loving a more natural look. I now only use two products for my brows: ANASTASIA Beverly Hills - Micro-Stroking Detailing Brow Pen Lime Crime - Bushy Brow Strong Hold Gel 1st step: I draw hair-like strokes using the ABH brow pen in the shade soft brown. Be careful! It dispenses a lot of product and the shade soft brown is actually quite dark. 2nd step: I use the Limecrime Bushy Brow Gel in the shade baby brown and gently brush my brows upwards. My brows are quite full, but this brow gel holds all day. 3rd step: Using a small concealer brush, I use a tiny amount of concealer to clean under the brows if necessary.

Cheap Beautiful Makeup
🌸Every product was under $18! 🌸 Ordinary ($6 & $10): I was very skeptical about the foundation because it was only $6, but it is beautiful and looks like you don’t have much makeup on//especially when paired with the pore blur. The H.A. blur is the HOLY GRAIL like you will look flawless and blurred out! This is also great for people who are acne prone because of the ingredients in it! 🌸Lime Crime’s ($18): bushy brow allows you to create hair-like brows and is super easy to use! 🌸ShopMissA ($1): is a great brand! I was super nervous because everything is only $1, but this blush was the absolute most beautiful blush I have ever seen! It is pigmented and gives off a beautiful rosy glow. 🌸Sleek ($10): This palette is pretty, but very creamy. The two plain colors are very natural and the sparkle ones are very chunky. I usually combine the two types because alone the color and look is not my favorite but together it is cute! 🌸NYX ($4): I think everyone should have a jumbo eye pencil as it is literally so pretty to highlight your waterline. This pencil is a little thicker than I would have liked, but it is still easy to use and the color really makes your eyes pop! 🌸Amore US ($15): This palette is a beautiful! Some of the colors are very pigmented, others aren’t but they are easy to build into a strong color! Follow my LIKEtoKNOW.it: nattylaray for more links to makeup, outfits & skincare products 💋

YOUTH TO THE PEOPLE - Superberry Hydrate + Glow Oil So you know how I wrote that post about my newfound love of YTTP? That was before this product broke me out. dear, klairs - Fundamental Eye Awakening Gel I like this product to reduce my bags quickly thanks to Vitamin C. It isn’t as good as CONTEXT - Vitamin C All Day Eye Cream but we can’t have it all in a hurry. BECCA - Hydra-Light Smoothing Lip Scrub My lips tingled a little but they had never felt so smooth. Too Faced - Shadow Insurance Anti-Crease Eyeshadow Primer I wish it dried faster but it does prevent creasing. NARS - Tinted Glow Booster I finally figured out why my chin had has had some whiteheads going on for the last two weeks. I love this product but it is being returned tomorrow as long as I can walk. (No hyperbole. Having chronic pain issues.) UOMA BEAUTY - Say What?! Foundation in T1C A much better match for me especially with winter coming. I loooove this formula so much I bought the under eye cream. erborian - BB Crayon Concealer & Touch-Up Stick in Clair for my massive under eye bags. PAT McGRATH LABS - Dark Star Volumizing Mascara Still the best. Beauty Bakerie - Face Flour Baking Powder in Oat. The first first loose powder not to give me an asthma attack. Used to set the Erborian crayon only. Lime Crime - Prelude Eyeshadow Palette Every color but seafoam was gorgeous to work with and easy to blend with minimal fall out. (I bought it for seafoam!) Overall, I was pleased with the shimmering rose gold the most. BECCA - Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter Smoky Quartz Not as highlightery as most if their highlighters but it has personality and it will look great in the fall. MAKE UP FOR EVER - Mist & Fix Hydrating Setting Spray Smelly but effective. GUCCI - Rouge à Lèvres Satin Lipstick The Fallen Sparrow. Gorgeous packaging. Absolutely unexpected naming convention. Smooth, even, and easy application and a color I wish I could wear outside. I am fair but I could see this color on a wide range of skin tones. I was completely bowled over by a product that I mostly treated myself to because of the name to be honest! Wow, that was a ling journey. Hope you enjoyed taking it with me!

+Lost and Found Lipstick+
Another Red lipstick—— why I named this post lost and found, because I never thought lime crime did lipsticks like this one. I remember going through the drawers of the beauty store I use to work and then I found this hidden in one of the drawers and I fell in love with the color at first sight. Lime Crime - Unicorn Lipstick is smooth and semi matte. I purchased the Retro-Futurist lipstick. However, there is a twist it looks red but when applied to the lips it is a magenta color. I still use it but, I use it as a gradient color when using dark lip colors. The color is lovely is just not was I expected. I believe lime crimes unicorn lipsticks are discontinued but you can still find it in other websites and there also dupes.

Drunk Elephant LaLa Retro Whipped Cream Review
As a dry skin girl whose face is basically the sahara desert 🔥, my skin craves a moisturizer that prevents against water loss 💧and can repair my moisture barrier (due to my tretinoin/acid use, and just the cool winter weather)❄️.  . . I personally look for moisturizers that contain humectants💧 such as HA, ceramides, and glycerin, as well as antioxidants☀️. I also look for thicker creams (more moisturizing) that contain emollients (which are lubricating ingredients that soften and smooth the skin) such as non-fragrant plant oils🌹 (stay away from ones with fragrance ESPECIALLY for sensitive skin) and a mix of butters (shea/cocoa/mango) and other oils (marula/rosehip/primrose/argan etc). . . LaLa Retro Whipped Cream from Drunk Elephant 🎀🐘 is one of my favorite moisturizers, especially come fall🍁🍂/winter season❄️. It is formulated with a ceramide complex (for barrier support), six african oils (for intense nourishment and moisturization), and sodium hyaluronate/hyaluronic acid crosspolymer (smaller molecular weight than HA so it can penetrate the skin more deeply). These ingredients, plus many more, promise to rescue your dry and dehydrated skin and provide intense moisture and replenishing barrier support.🙌🏼 . . The product comes out of a nice, airless pump (which makes it super hygienic). It has a delectable, whipped, airy texture that melts upon contact with your skin. Although it is thick, it does not feel heavy on the skin, and absorbs easily upon contact. A little goes a long way with this product. I find the blend of oils (marula, baobab, and passion fruit) to be extremely nourishing for my dry, thirsty skin. It works well as both an am☀️ and pm🌙 moisturizer to keep my skin feeling soft, hydrated, and silky smooth all day. I would 100% recommend this product for folks with dry/sensitive/flaky skin because it gets the job done and really works to hydrate and repair your skin’s barrier. . I actually came across this product when I was really struggling with a bad bout of seborrheic dermatitis that was causing painful drying flakes on my chin and cheeks for over a month; and literally no moisturizer was helping the issue. My skin was so irritated and raw; and I was extremely embarrassed because I wasn’t able to cover the scaly skin with any makeup. It got so bad to where I didn’t want to go out in public or see any friends because I just felt gross. Lala Retro was the only moisturizer that didn’t irritate my skin and actually helped decrease the flakiness and really helped me regain my confidence. . . The product does cost $60; but despite its higher price point, it is a cream I will always go back to. 🥰For me, it is worth the price and I will continue to repurchase consistently. If you have oily, or normal skin with no major skin concerns, this product may be a little on the pricier side and not for you. For that reason, I would give it 4.5 stars⭐️ instead of the full 5. This limecrime palette is another one in my top 5. Again has the oranges, yellow and even blues with a couple glitter ones. I absolutely am in love with the blue that’s in this palette. I love adding it to the corner of my eyes. This palette is also super pigmented. I’ve had this palette for some time now too since I don’t wear make up too often and it still works so well. I tried giving myself a subtle ‘fox brow’ 🦊
I tried giving myself a subtle ‘fox brow’ 🦊
How did I do? 😛 I spent all morning plucking and shaping my brows to get that super popular ‘Fox brow’ but more subtle, I don’t think I’m ready to shave off the tip of my brow just yet but who knows, maybe a few more days of lockdown will finally make me do something extreme lol. It turns out my brows are pretty bushy naturally so I had to pluck quite a bit but I have to say I really like how this looks! I have very hooded eyes and I feel this brow shape kind of opens up some lid space which is honestly all I want. I used the Lime Crime - Bushy Brow Precision Pen to fill in some sparse spots and the ohii - Magic Hair Wand to shape them and hold them in place. Have you tried any viral beauty trends yourself lately? Would you shave your brows for this? 👀

Lime Crime Venus XL II

This i
Lime Crime Venus XL II This is the most unique and interesting palette that I've seen in recent memory. It's soft and delicate but definitely not boring. And we've seen soooooooo many bright and bold palettes that I think it's a welcomed change. By my estimation there's 7 duochromes: Thorn, Myth, Laurel, Radiant, Ivy, Obscure and Locust. I did my best to capture the shift if you swipe through the album. And these are unique duochromes, Ivy and Thorn in particular. However I do wish that they'd included a few more mattes, there's only four. The pans are full sized (.05oz each). Oh and it's cruelty free, of course, and also vegan. I've only used the palette once so far so I don't have a definitive opinion yet but I think that it would be a unique addition to any collection. I'll do my best to find dupes but there's a few shades that I know that I haven't seen before.

Just got a vanity today and I am beyond excited! While looking at my stuff I stumbled across my limecrime Venus 2 Palette. I am getting so drawn to the mustard and copper tones! Still feeling the Autumn vibes. The ctilbury Lipstick in Hebburn Honey is a gorgeous nude. Loving the diptyque scent in Eau Duelle. It’s a spicy vanilla and just wraps me up in warmth.
