I need help with my pores
I need help to get rid of my pores!! My acne on my forehead use to be really bad but I’ve come a long to help it, but now my lower half of my face needs help. This is my skin care routine right now. So if anyone has recommended products for pores please let me know. A.M. skin routine: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin I like how it’s easy to use but I’ve seen lately that foaming cleansers aren’t that good but I don’t a good cleansers that is fragrance free and deep cleanses but doesn’t dry out my face pixi - Glow Tonic I use once in awhile in the morning, it hasn’t done much for me but I guess since I’m not consistent with it CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin in the beginning I really liked but I talked to my dermatologist on Curology and she told me that this can clog my pores so I haven’t use it much and I’ve noticed a difference. I’m drying to find a fragrance free gel moisturizer or a fragrance free moisturizer that doesn’t leave my skin sticky Neutrogena - Clear Face Break-Out Free Liquid Lotion Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 30 I really like this, it doesn’t leave a white paste on my face and it doesn’t break my face out P.M. routine: CeraVe - Foaming Facial Cleanser For Normal To Oily Skin The Ordinary - Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution I used to have big under my eyes but this definitely has minimize them Curology - Curology formula in the beginning, my skin broke out because it was purging but definitely has made my skin better, it helped my forehead so much CeraVe - Daily Moisturizing Lotion For Normal To Dry Skin —————————————————————————————— I shower everyday because I have volleyball practice but sometimes while in the shower I wash my face with DR. BRONNER'S - Baby Unscented Pure-Castile Liquid Soap I use to use it as cleanser but switched to Cerave. After I get out I use Bio-Oil - Multiuse Skincare Oil I got it to get rid of dark spots on my body and my stretch marks, definitely have seen progress with the dark spots but nothing with the stretch marks, but I decided to use it for my face even though I seen people say it’s to harsh but it doesn’t irritate my face when using it. Once a week I use The Ordinary - AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution I like using it because I feel like it renews my face and definitely has helped with texture on my face.

Forehead bumps, I need help!
Hey! I’ve been struggling with these stubborn bumps all over my forehead, between my brows and on my temples for about two years now. I’ve considered that they’re fungal acne but I tried using dandruff shampoo and other zinc products and they simply did nothing. They look to me more like clogged pores. Currently the bumps aren’t at their worst as I don’t have the stress of school but they’re still there and ruin every pic of me. I use to use the phisoderm ph + wash (contains salicylic acid) for about 6 months and FIRST AID BEAUTY - Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration. This routine did nothing so I switched to the DR. BRONNER'S - Baby Unscented Pure-Castile Liquid Soapand the everyone - Face, Nourishing Moisturizer. I use the Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizerwith SPF in the am. It hasn’t been long enough to see results of these new products but I’ll update if things get better or worse. On top of having these pesky bumps I also have deep rooted blackheads all over my nose, around my lips and on my chin. Hormonal pimples here and there are also common. I feel as though I am pretty healthy, I eat organic and balanced meals (obviously some processed sugar and other foods) and I exercise 2-3 times a week. I’m 15 years old so a lot of my skin concerns could be hormonal. I know there are many worse skin conditions I could have, but these bumps have caused me to be super self conscious and I always feel gross even with makeup on as the texture always shows. If anyone has any product recommendations or anything that might help my skin whether it’s dietary or a change of environment please let me know! I’d really appreciate it as I’ve never seen anyone with the same issue as me or who can give me a clear answer. Thanks!

Best Shaving Routine for Sensitive Areas + Skin!
I cannot tell you how stressful it’s been the past couple of years trying literally everything to manage ingrown hairs along my bikini line and around the lady bits. Sometimes, depending on the heat, I’ll get really bad skin rashes on my legs and the armpit area, and with practically translucent skin, it typically meant I had to stay completely covered up. I tried dozens of different products- creams and serums specifically for shaving eos - Lavender Shave Cream (EOS- do NOT recommend any of their products if you have sensitive skin, only stick to their lip balms). European Wax Center also does not have great products for sensitive skin, even in their sensitive skincare line it’s proven to include really heavy products that still cause or continue redness. Yikes!! Whether waxing or shaving or sugaring it fucking BLEW because nothing was working. Anyways, this stuff pictured above finally became the solution!! Aside from what’s pictured, to clean the area before this shaving routine, for ph balance down there, I love using DR. BRONNER'S - Peppermint Pure-Castile Liquid Soap or if your skin down below is feeling extra sensitive, DR. BRONNER'S - Pure-Castile Liquid Soap To exfoliate, I was wildly surprised when I applied by hand the TREE HUT - Sugar Scrub Coconut Lime because not only was my skin NOT irritated by it, but it’s truly got the best summer shower scent. Great aromatherapy experience, and this baby costs less than $10 and can last you anywhere between 1-3 months. When it’s the summer and I’ve shaving my legs more often, it’s closer to a 2-month timeframe. I also apply this with my hands pretty gently- I don’t use loofahs or other scrubbing tools to avoid potential redness, irritation and/or infection. Anyways, after exfoliating, the shave butter is epic, DR. CARVER'S - Shave Butter I stole it from my boyfriend, because I noticed he was using it as a face cream and his face was 1,000,000x softer than a baby’s butt. It’s normally packaged as part of Dollar Shave Clubs shaving bundle, but for what it is, it’s reasonably priced on an individual level. The flamingo - Razor has proven for price point and product quality to be great (refills are also cheaper than Venus, Intuition and certain men’s razors too). It also comes in really cute pastel and neutral colors if you’re big on that. Granted, I always shave really slowly, so consider this haha. After I’m out of the shower, I immediately apply fur - Stubble Cream and I also apply twice per week after I shower and don’t shave. While it’s more expensive, it’s really worth the price point, and has been lasting more longer than other creams in the past have while being way more effective in my most sensitive areas. Thanks for reading!✌🏼️

Did someone say POSE?
Did a at home photoshoot and even attempted to do my make up. After wearing a full face of makeup you should always make sure to wash your face!!! After I took my pictures I used Noxzema and let that sit for about 5 mins. Wash it off and then used a second wash of Dr.Bronners peppermint soap. After washing your face you should always moisturize. DON’T FORGET TO CLEAN THISE NECKS!!💖NOXZEMA - Classic Clean Moisturizing Cleansing Cream DR. BRONNER'S - Peppermint Pure-Castile Liquid Soap I do not recommend doing this routine everyday bc it can be drying!!

Hair removal: 🪒
One of the most classic ways to get rid of body hair is shaving. I had laser hair removal 7 years ago, I have some fine hair that the laser cannot remove, so I choose to use a 🪒 or electric epilator. Cons: the hair grows back quickly and can make it thicker, in addition to the possibility of irritating or cutting. The 🪒 is very practical because it is available instantly, there is no need to charge or connect it, you can take it everywhere and if you forget it is easy to get one. In the last Sunday Shares box came this flamingo - Shave Set , I had seen it before at Target, and now I had a chance to try it out. This set comes with 1 foaming shave gel, 1 body lotion, 1 razor handle, 1 shower hook, 2 five-blade cartridges and 1 reusable pouch for $16. It’s very gentle with the skin and effective, the shaving gel forms a foam, to protect the skin during shaving, leaving it soft, it contains aloe vera and conditioning emollients. When leaving the shower I apply the body lotion that contains white willowbark extract, papaya fruit extract and squalane, leaving the skin hydrated and very soft. The price is quite reasonable for the products you get. People with sensitive skin can benefit by using the foaming shave gel and body lotion. Another option would be DR. BRONNER'S - Organic Tea Tree Castile Liquid Soap , it worked for me and helped me to avoid irritation.

Do’s and Dont’s Of Acne
There are many of things you should and shouldn’t do when it comes to acne. Knowing what to do and what not to do can help you avoid more breakouts, irritation and scarring when it comes to acne. 🎯What To DO 🎯 ✅Properly cleanse skin to remove bacteria and excessive oil. Cleanse face twice a day using a product that has salicylic acid, tea tree etc. Anti-Bacterial properties to reduce bacteria . ✅Moisture, many think with acne you shouldn’t moisturize because it’ll cause more breakouts and this is incorrect. Especially when you are using products that dry out the skin it’s important to put that moisture back in the skin keeping it balanced. 🌺Check out my skin type post under acne there is more info on what products you should use 🌺 ✅Skin Treatments like detoxifying mask, spot treatments etc. These will help to stop breakouts and heal breakouts that you already have. Treatments will help lessen scarring and really support the skin in healing. ✅DRINK WATER! Make sure to drink plenty of water flushes out toxins and keeps skin clear. ✅RELAX Stressing is no good for acne it just makes it worse. ✅PATIENCE tackling acne takes time , prepare yourself for the ride. ❌What To NO DO ❌ ❌Touching / Picking , your hands have bacteria and if you are constantly touching your face your adding more bacteria which equals to more breakouts. Picking will cause irritation and can also lead to scarring. ❌ Too many products , you shouldn’t be using 10 products in your morning skincare routine. With acne less is better because you won’t over saturate the skin which can cause more breakouts. ❌Over use of acids and exfoliators, exfoliation is great for skin but over doing it with acne can irritate breakouts. ❌ Makeup 😩 there will def be a post about how to wear makeup with acne BUT throwing makeup over acne only makes it worse. It’s best to let the skin heal. Any questions about the DO and DONTS of acne comment below #cheriecreator 🌼MY CURRENT PRODUCT FAVS FOR ACNE 🌼 Nolaskinsentials - Glycolic Foam Cleanser DICKINSON'S - Witch Hazel Liquid DERMA•E - Vitamin C Concentrated Serum SheaMoisture - BeautyHack Face + Body + Hair Aztec Bentonite Clay SheaMoisture - African Black Soap Problem Skin Moisturizer SheaMoisture - African Black Soap Clarifying Mud Mask DR. Target Must-Haves ♥️
Hello lovelies, we’re gonna change it up a bit this month and I’m gonna start showing my monthly restock. The month of August, I decided to restock at Target. I actually went to find @cerave products but found these instead and they have wonderful ratings and been suggested to me by many skincare enthusiasts. ___________________________________________ - (15$ at Target) First thing is @drbronner A gentle, clean, castile soap! Castile soap is an amazingly versatile vegetable-based soap that's made free of animal fats and synthetic ingredients. It has many uses but I mostly use to clean my body, makeup brushes, & laundry. - (21$ at Target) Secondly @versed zinc sunscreen is AMAZING. It contains zinc oxide which helps blend into the skin flawlessly. Also has soothing, hydrating, & antioxidants properties. - (4$ at Target) Lastly I never recommend wiping make up off your face because it doesn’t fully come off and some ingredients in make up wipes and clean your pores clogged. If you MUST.. @simpleskin compostable cleaning wipes is the way to go.

Alternatives for Cleanser and Exfoliator
I’m writing again to show you beauties two alternatives I have in my skincare stash. I tend to look for staples that are either more gentle for my sensitive skin, cruelty-free and/or uses natural organic ingredients. #1 - Dr. Bronner’s Lavender Liquid Castile Soap: In this photo, I am showing the travel size bottle that I got for a few dollars at a supermarket. The full size bottle is good enough to last a month or so. This is a multi-purpose liquid soap that uses natural ingredients, lavender/lavindin oil for scent and USDA-certified biodegradable Organic. I use this as a cheaper alternative to mainstream cleansers by expensive brands. It also is better for our environment. Dilute it 60/40 to use on your face. You can also use this for your hair, laundry, cleaning and more! I also really love the scent. It makes my skin so soft and does not cause extreme irritation. Just need to dilute it with water or I feel it stings my open acne bumps on my skin. Worth the price. Listed as $9.99 USD full-sized at Walmart. #2 - The Nature Collection (THE FACE SHOP)‘s SMART PEELING Mild Papaya gel: Instead of a harsher exfoliating serum like the The Ordinary AHA BHA 50% or scrubbing with beads, this product uses natural papaya enzymes and hyaluronic acid to gently shed dead skin cell layers. It is more gentle, not irritating and it only costs $12.59 USD ($17 CAD). The smell is mild of papaya and comes as a gel. It actually successfully takes off my dead skin and leaves it soft and supple. I really recommend taking this over harsh exfoliants if those never worked for you! It is definitely okay for sensitive, dry skin. I hope you can try it! Please leave feedback or let me know if these work for you. Cheers.

Step 1: Cleansers 💙
Product 1: DR. BRONNER'S - Pure-Castile Liquid Soap 2 words: HOLY. SH... just kidding. *Holy GRAIL! I use peppermint because I like the minty feeling when I cleanse my face. There are other scents AND UNscented, just FYI. 😊 This product cleared my skin. My face, my chest, AND my back. Of course, I can’t say this product ALONE cleared my face because I use a lot more products on my face after I cleanse, but I very much believe that this product cleared my chest and back acne which blows. my. mind. 🤯 How I use it: Face: 1st cleanser. Step 1, I wet my face. Lol. Then, I put about 3 drops of this into my hand (THREE. FREAKING. DROPS. 🤯 This is a 32oz bottle, sis. This lasts 👏🏼for👏🏼eh👏🏼ver! So if the price is making you hesitant, PFF. Worth it. AND if it doesn’t work out, this product can be used in other ways 🤯🤯🤯). Next, I rub my hands together until it foams. And then finally, I rub this onto my face in circular, zig-zag, up and down motions for 1 whole minute* (*super important!). Then I rinse... and I rinse well. I usually use this at night; however, if my skin is feeling irritated in the morning (like she hungover or something), then I use this in the morning as well. Body: I use Dove sensitive skin body wash and mix this guy in with it. Lather it up, scrub a dub dub, and rinse. Product 2: DERMA•E - Hydrating Cleanser Okay, to be fair, I JUST started using this product about a week ago. Like I mentioned in my skin journey post, I’m combination skin with a very oily forehead. Now, I know what you’re thinking, “why in the world would you use a hydrating cleanser?!” See... what had happened was... I used this new product on my skin and that product dried my face up around the where-you-apply-highlighter areas. I was desperate... and this seemed to have helped. I mean, I didn’t negatively affect my skin. ......yet. So five stars! .....for now. Lol. How I use it: 2nd cleanser! Step 1, clean skin with previous mentioned cleanser. Step 2, repeat all of the steps from the previous cleanser, but with this cleanser. I gravitate towards this lovely lady in the mornings since she so gentle and thangs. Now, I’m sure we all know this, but just as a gentle reminder: all of our skins react differently to different products. This worked for me. Please do your own personal research on products you’reinterested in and get to know your skin and what she needs. I don’t know about y’all’s skin, but mines is a sensitive B sometimes. 🙄 Oh and btw! Both of these products can be found at Target, Whole Foods, and Nugget. Oh! And of course, Amazon. Xoxo Xenia

Best Lip Balm for those with EO Sensitivities
I posted before about their peppermint formulation, which I absolutely LOVE! But I know a lot of my fellow eczema sufferers can’t tolerate anything with scent and get irritated by essential oils! If that sounds like you, then this Dr. Bronner’s Naked Organic Lip Balm is going to be your new best friend! The formulation is just ridiculously hydrating and in this version zero fragrance! DR. DR. BRONNER'S - Organic Lip Balm I’ve struggled with chronically dry and peeling lips for years - and I have a drawer full of lip balms as proof. I could never figure out why the top rated, most recommended products would only give me relief briefly. Then one day I tried a $20 balm from a brand I loved and it had my lips healed, plumped, and moisturized in under a week - after a decade of painful peeling. It was at this point that I figured out that lanolin just does *not* work for me. It’s the best moisturizer out there if you can use it, but it’s pretty common for people with allergies and eczema to develop an allergy to it over time. At that point I began my research for the best lanolin-free balms - and boy, are the options scarce; especially at the drugstore! Dr. Bronner’s has filled that hole with a truly fantastic balm for under $5. The blend of jojoba, avocado, and hemp seed oil, along with beeswax, makes for a soft and nourishing balm that breathes life back into shriveled, wind-chapped lips. It comes in 4 flavors, including the ‘Naked’ unflavored version, and is easily found at any health food / “natural” grocery store. Forget Carmex, Chapstick, Blistex, Burt’s Bees, Softlips - Dr. Bronner’s is the only cheap balm I’m buying.

The ORDINARY Vitamin C & Better OPTIONS !
Okay so I did a post about Vitamin C earlier and the two main different types use mainly in vitamin c serums & other products (L-Ascorbic Acid & Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate). These are the most used & come in a range of different percentages (you need a minimum of 8% to be effective) Serums absorbs better than a vitamin c toner, moisturizer or any other concoction that comes with skincare. When using Vitamin C it’s best used during the day, UNLESS your product has retinol (which I usually don’t recommend due to irritation). Okay with that recap out the way ... The Ordinary - Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2% & The Ordinary - Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% Solution are product versions of vitamin C I’d NEVER EVER RECOMMEND! Why? When buying Vitamin C, it’s potent when just by itself which makes it a sure fire product that’ll cause irritation (mostly if your not used to it). There is a checklist when it comes to vitamin C & how it should be made: Dark packaging: vitamin C is not that stable ! It’s should be in tight, dark PUMP OR SERUM JAR Ingredients matter! : vitamin C mixed with other items make it more beneficial . -With hyaluronic acid : great for dry skin -With Vitamin E: great for anti aging -With Ferulic Acid: great for extending the life of vitamin C Best serums to look into I’d never in my life spend $166 on a serum so SKINCEUTICALS - C E Ferulic With 15% L-Ascorbic Acid Vitamin C Serumwhile never touch my face unless I get it in a super sale. Yet these formulation is the staple for all vitamin C serums for a reason. Here’s some I recommend DR. BRONNER'S - Vitamin C Serum with Ferulic Acid this serum is an EXACT DUPE FOR SKINCEAUTICALS .. this is ascorbic acid (be careful if you have sensitive skin). It’s $14.99 Seoul Ceuticals - 20% Vitamin C Hyaluronic Acid Serum this is my current personal fave K-Beauty I use everyday. It has Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate which is my go to since I use a lot of serums and to avoid sensitive skin. Its $16.99 Mad Hippie - Vitamin C Serum this was my favorite for a year because it’s really natural type ingredients. It has all the checklist points plus Konjac Root which is amazing for having tons of vitamins. Only reason I stopped buying was its $33.

Just bought this at the store, it is a soap that can be used for hands-face-body, hair, dishes, mopping, laundry, to shave, and it is basically an all-purpose cleaner. It can be found at Walgreens, cvs, target. This soap is told to help acne, dirt, and is made out of organic oils.

HOLY GRAIL ALERT 🚨 I have been using DR. BRONNER'S - Citrus Pure-Castile Liquid Soapfor the past 4 years and I don’t see myself ever letting it go. This product is a one stop shop for all your cleansing needs. I use it as a body wash in the shower but you can use it as a shampoo, a cleanser for your pets , dishwashing liquid, laundry detergent, even to mop your floors! It is so versatile because of how concentrated it is. It is made with 90% pure organic oils. They carry a variety of scents from citrus (my current fave) to tea tree to lavender to peppermint. PLUS it’s biodegradable. I spend about $20 on a bottle but it’ll last me 3+ months. Love LOVE love this soap!
