Need Sleep 🛌? Try this combo (or separately)!
I usually have trouble sleeping. I’m a very anxious and worried person so finding ways to calm my mind as well as my body has become an interesting past time. I also have issues with autoimmune disease so trying to sleep sometimes can be a chore. I read lots of books, drink a glass of wine before sleep and take baths with scented candles.
I decided to go and ask my aunt was there anything I could do to help out with my insomnia that was homeopathic and she recommended two things - epsom salt and lavender . I was blessed to find Dr Teal's - Lavender Epsom Salt Sleep which helps with my aching joints and muscles which helps ease me to sleep better. The fact that it has lavender in it which is known to help insomnia helped out a lot! Don’t use too much to avoid skin irritation. 1/3 of a cup or less should do the trick! I also ended up finding ogx - Lavender Essential Oil Body Wash is amazing and helps with me sleep longer after use.
If you have trouble sleeping, please try to incorporate these to your nighttime bath time routine. I’m telling you these together or separate work wonders!

How Do You Self Care??? 👀 🛀💕
SOMETIMES WE ALL JUST NEED AN EFFIN BREAK!!!!!!
A BREAK FROM WORK
A BREAK FROM KIDS
A BREAK FROM SPOUSES
A BREAK FROM THE WORLD
A BREAK FROM ADULTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So what do I do? What helps me? SELF CARE!! I love it. Maybe a day with the girls, or a day with myself, some pampering, a good nail appointment, or if I wanna practice good social distancing, a date w/ my bed & Netflix! However I choose to self care I start off with a bath!
It’s something tranquil about a warm bubble bath in peace & quiet that does it for me. A good soak gets me super chill! But it’s also about what I put in my waters that makes the bath , THEE BATH!
Me personally, I do it all.
The traditional Bubble Bath
Like, come on. I’m a 30 year old woman & I STILL love me a good bubble bath & anyone who gets on here & tries to play tough like you don’t like bubbles I DO NOT BELIEVE YOUUUUUUUU!!! 😝. Bubbles make the bath THEE BATH!!!!!!!!
Oils
Soaking in oils will have your skin feeling like a sexy marshmallow when you get out of the bath. You don’t even have to apply lotion afterwards, just AIR DRY!!!!!!
Milk & Honey
Or as I like to call it “The cereal bath” 😂😂 Now, let me make a disclaimer. I wouldn’t just pour a gallon of milk & dump honey all in my bathtub, NO! There are products out that contains these key ingredients. Or (with proper instructions) you COULD mix the 2 together (RESPECTFULLY) & create your own mix! Our QUEEN CLEOPATRA did it to soak in alllllll her beauty to remain beautiful, so yea, it’s a thing!!!
Salt Bath
For all my active beauties, or even all my beauties who have a rough day on the job & is just aching EPSOM SALT! They have Lavender salts for relaxation , & eucalyptus salts . All salts are for healing! Dr Teal's - Eucalyptus Epsom Salt Relax
Those are my personal faves! Along with a good smelling candle and some Sade on my playlist is how I begin my day of Self care.
So........ How Do YOU Self care???????

This is so relaxing 😌. I look forward to the day Im taking a bath so I can just soak my body in it , its so refreshing and soothing for my skin. Even mentally I feel better after I take a bath with this.
Also after work sometimes I just put some in a bucket and dip my feet in it, I feel flying over cloud9 . It’s so affordable too, I believe I got it for $10 which is totally worth it. One bag goes a long way

I used a facial peel on my feet...
Hello ladies, men, and non-binary friends 😎
Today I bring you another edition of: feet are WACK from years of playing sports, working on my feet, exercising daily, and a surgery.
This time around I wanted to see how a facial peel would work on my foot callouses. I got this Bliss facial peel pack of 5 peels pads (bliss - That's Incredi-Peel Pads ) as a mystery gift from Ulta a while ago, but I would never use such a high acid amount product on my face. Each peel pad contains a chemically exfoliating formula with 10% AHA in the form of glycolic acid.
I was way too chicken to use a serious foot peel on my feet and wanted to start out this way!
The packaging says to use nightly for 5 nights in a row, unless you have sensitive skin—then it says to use every other night until the pack is empty. Since my feet are full of callouses, I decided to use it every night for 5 nights.
Overall I would say my experience was great. I experienced no pain or tingling, just some dryness and tightness on day 3. My skin definitely peeled on my feet and I ended up having to use a foot file to remove lots of dead skin!
My 5-day results are AMAZING. I don’t know if I would use this specific product again but I might be using an exfoliating toner on my feet from now on...
My only gripe with the Bliss peel is that each pad is individually packaged which is pretty wasteful.
4/5
On day 6, to help remove any excess dead skin and to heal (if needed) I ended up using the Dr Teal's - Pure Epsom Salt Fragrance Free Soaking Solution for 20 minutes in warm water. I have used almost every Epsom salt from them and I love them all.
5/5
Highly recommend trying this before getting an expensive foot peel or foot spa treatment!!

Amazing bath product! 🧖🏻♀️
My favorite way to relax and soothe my bones after a long day.
Dr. Teal’s Pure Epsom Salt is an amazing addition to the bath. It really helps relax the body, soothe aches and pains and make you feel 100x better by the time your bath is over. I prefer the fragrance free salts as opposed to the others like lavender. This doesn’t dry out my skin or make it itchy. It has so many Healing properties and benefits.
I also recommend this to anyone who has pain or soreness. It’s definitely worth the price/time/effort. 🧖🏻♀️🧖🏻♀️🧖🏻♀️

BEST OF: Body Wash 🏆
My awards for body wash...
I have pretty sensitive skin with different needs depending on what I’m doing in the bath or shower. These products just shine in my opinion!
🏆 The best everyday body wash
Dr Teal's - Activated Charcoal and Black Lava Salt Body Wash
The Dr Teal’s wash has been one of my favorites for a long time. I’ve used their epsom bath salts for a while as well since I exercise often and get muscle fatigue and soreness. I decided to give it a go because 1) it has a pump, 2) it’s 24oz for $6, and 3) the brand is cruelty free. Honestly I love the lather of this wash and use it as my regular wash in the shower. The scent is nice but not overpowering and it helps keep my skin from drying out in this harsh winter.
🏆 The best body scrub
MANNA KADAR BEAUTY - Sea Minerals Champagne Charcoal Scrub
I rarely ever use scrubs. Ever! My skin is so sensitive and irritable that I usually just gently exfoliate with a wash cloth. However, I got this in a fab fit fun box last year and I’ve been using it once every 4-6 months since. I use it on my legs as a pre-shave exfoliator to help ease any hives or bumps I always get when I shave. It’s very nice, but I’m not sure I could justify $40 (the listing price on amazon) for this and will probably just use facial scrubs on my legs after I run out of it. I do enjoy using it though!!
🏆 The best special occasion wash
LUSH - Sleepy Shower Gel
The sleepy line from Lush has been one of my favorites for a very long time. I’m always skeptical of products that contain many essential oils but this one does not irritate my skin and I usually use it only when I bathe or shower at night to help me wind down. A little bit of this goes a VERY long way! It’s a bit pricey at $10 for a 3.3oz bottle but it’s going to last me a long time since I don’t use it every time I shower. I recommend asking for a sample at lush to see if it irritates your skin. It’s very thin and lathers up a lot but doesn’t leave you feeling tight or dry.

EMPTY—my favorite body wash for sore muscles
I’m on my feet a lot—some for work, but mostly when I exercise daily. Getting older, my muscles get sore easier so I looked for a brand that could help me with my sore muscles in multiple capacities.
Enter Dr. Teal’s. This brand has helped me in so many ways...they make products including the empty here: Dr Teal's - Activated Charcoal and Black Lava Salt Body Wash with Epsom salt, which is a soothing salt that eases joint and muscle pain at an affordable price that is cruelty free. After going through 800 bags of their Epsom salt, I decided to try out their body wash early last year...and it’s all I’ve used since! A huge bottle is $6 and easily lasts me 4-5 months. I usually purchase multiple at a time so I already have a backup for it ready.
This particular body wash has activated charcoal in it as well, which seems kind of gimmicky to me but it doesn’t take anything away from the wash itself, that smells nice, has a nice lather, and has hydrating and soothing ingredients like Shea butter and aloe.
I highly recommend this wash to anyone wanting to try something new. At $6 for 24oz, you can’t go wrong here!
I give this wash 5 out of 5 stars and will repurchase it forever!

Top 10 can’t live without products of 2020 #4
Sometimes a good old fashioned soak is just good for the soul. And the rest of you. I’m not sure about the Hemp Seed part of this particular Dr Teal's - Cannabis Sativa Hemp Seed Oil Pure Epsom Salt , I just get a whole bunch and use whichever scent appeals to me that day along with a capful of the corresponding foam bath for some extra pizazz.
The directions on the bag say to use about a cup of salt. On my worst mental health/achy body day I just dump the whole bag in until I’m floating in salt and then I just brine myself.
I’ve been soaking in Epsom Salt baths for years. I find that they help me sleep, they help my skin not feel so dry and itchy, and many times I will even do a little yoga/stretching practice in the bath once my joints have warmed up a bit.
From the inter webs: Magnesium has so many health benefits and so many of us are either deficient in it or have health conditions that can benefit from it. Magnesium is able to enter the body transdermally - through the skin and Epsom salt contains varying amounts of magnesium depending on the type and source. Many Epsom salt advocates believe that the amount of magnesium that is able to enter the body through the skin is enough to alleviate swelling, aches, and more. And Epsom salts are thought to be an effective natural treatment for skin irritations and itching.
Dr Teals has come out with some really good products over the last couple years. Tons of new scents. Scrubs. Oils. All kinds of goodies. All the stuff is budget-friendly. You could even make some cool gift baskets with these products and spoil your people with some at-home spa time.

Light a candle n relax😌🛀🏽
Sunday’s are for self care, just call it my spa days. That’s the day I exfoliate my body and wear my mask grab my tea ☕️. I like to take bubbles bath n soak. Dr Teal's - Deep Marine Sea Kelp Foaming Bath Purify & Hydrate I starting using this to make my bubbles. I use to do bath n body works but I’m very sensitive down there so this works perfect. It has the same benefits it’s just liquid. Dr Teal's - Cannabis Sativa Hemp Seed Oil Pure Epsom Salt I’ve been using this for years. It makes my skin feels so smooth and plus I workout a lot so it’s good for sore muscles. They have a lot different kinds to choose from depending on your needs. You really can do any day but Sunday’s to me is like a reset button because your getting ready for the week ahead and we have a lot going on in our lives.
Do anyone dry brush? I just love how it makes my skin feel. I have been doing it for over a month n I do see that it helped out with my cellulite at the back of my legs. You guys should try out and tell me how it make tou feel. I hope everyone have a good week.

Dr. Teal’s Epsom Salt’s
I am a huge fan of soaking in Epsom salts! Adding in essential oils makes it even better! I absolutely adore this brand and how natural everything is. The detoxify and energize smells amazing! I love doing this one in the morning or if I need a boost. The ginger is more on the sweet side and not overpowering. The activated charcoal smells amazing too. That one you can definitely feel how detoxifying it is for your body. I tend to use this one more at nighttime.
Shower/ bath essentials
-First product is Dr Teal's - Melatonin Sleep Soak Pure Epsom Salt honestly after a hard day of work/ school or whatever you do this is amazing to relax you over same thing with the foaming bath
-Second product is ST. Ives - Renewing Collagen Elastin Moisturizer honestly this is meant for the face but the fragrance is super strong so I use it after the shower on certain areas of my body such as knees, elbows, and feet.
- Next, is the dove gentle exfoliator which smells amazing and is such a gentle scrub for your skin so if you have sensitive skin like me I recommend this
- Next essential is the cake - The Head Strong Volume Boosting Scalp Scrub
I love this product but the only problem is that it dries out my hair but the Marc Anthony conditioner fixes it and my scalp and hair is squeaky clean and likes so healthy!!!
- Lasty, I use the baby dove soap which I use more often because I found it to be the most gentle on my skin since I have eczema and it smells amazing and leaves my skin glowing and moisturized.
